Lado - Jueves - Just the headlines

Tomás comes into the hallway during the robbery and grabs Charlie. Max has forgotten his cell. Comes back and sees Charlie being held by “the burglar”. 66 texts Tomás, distracting him. Max goes for the gun and tells Charlie to run. They struggle, a shot is fired. Tomás escapes.

Carmen brings María to Raquel’s hospital room. Santiago and Raquel think Ernesto is a good guy who will help them.

Frida has an interview with some magazine. The interviewer asks if she and Johnny are an item. Frida, managing not to look sarcastic, says that Johnny would never make moves on people he represents.

Worried about what happened with Raquel, Eliza accepts Andrés proposal. When she worries about the divorce, Andrés tells her how easy it is to get a divorce in CA.

Margarita tells Ale/Sofi that she’s known all along who she really is.

Paula tells Ernesto that Raquel Araña is the woman that was deported to save Julián’s skin when he ran into people on the street.

Margarita talks with Ale/Sofi about medicines (think she means herbal ones) that can rob someone of their will. She gives Ale/Sofi a bottle that contained the lemonade to test.

The Devils celebrate Tomás being in the gang. But he’s depressed and tells Benny that he thinks he killed Charlie.

Charlie did see Tomás but tells the police he didn’t see the face of the burglar.

Alo comes home from a day out with Beto, Don Carlos nephew or grandson, and is rude to Ale/Sofi, asking her what her real motives are.

Lado

wow, thanks novelera!

the cell phone, hmm, I was wondering if Jen threw Steve's cell phone back into the freezer after she smashed it, and when she threw it in the lake tonight, the ringtone in her head finally stopped.

Margarita is such a sweetheart, she knew all along it was Sofia, but since she loves and trusts her, she was just going along, wow, and her family sounds like they have their roots in the earth, she knows about Jimsonweed,

"Jimson weed contains chemicals such as atropine, hyoscyamine, and scopolamine. These chemicals interfere with one of the chemical messengers (acetylcholine) in the brain and nerves."
https://www.webmd.com/vitamins/ai/ingredientmono-921/jimson-weed

and how it was used on her uncle, she has connected the dots as to how Ernesto's first wife died, and now the lemonade, Sofia will get the empty bottle analyzed.

wow, Charlie is cured and now shot by Tomas, what?, did Charlie do that on purpose?

pretty-in-pink Alo, why was she so much easier to love when she was punching out the mean girls.

Lado

oh and did Ernesto come back from ?? making some phone calls, and tell Paula the Araña thing is fixed?

Lado

Thanks very much, novelera and deb. The episode also showed the totally loony J-Low scream "leave me in peace" to the second cell phone she pulled from Steve's body as she throws the phone into a lake.

The message from 66 that distracted Tomás said "We're going to come in."

I'm under the impression that Charlie dove to the floor when Tomás fired the gun but that Charlie wasn't hit at all by the bullet.

When Ernesto gets a call and then reports to Paula that they've taken care of the matter of the Salvadoran woman, it wasn't clear to me whether he means they've found a way to help her without exposing their earlier handling of the matter (i.e., having Raquel deported unjustly) or whether he means that he won't help her in spite of his repeated promise to do so.

LADO

Deb, Stupendous recap. Thank you for making me laugh during some of your snarky comments.

I'm guessing, not a spoiler, that both Max and Charlie saw Tomás and are covering it up because of Tomás's connection with them.

Also, I'm guessing that, because of Tomás's actions, Max will blackmail Eliza into marry him. Even now he is scumb, IMO, Totally dumb and a first date COWARD. To me, he is the most despicable character out of all.

Will J-Low go off the road to facilitate Max and Eliza's wedding? I must say that J-Low is doing the maniac role so well. I don't know if it's her acting or the scripts she is given.

Why is Julian the one who is being redeemed here?

I'm totally at a loss as to why some are illegal and others not. Channeling Irene.......

"LADO":

Victoria: Don't you just love Alondra being super EVIL ? I do.

Deadbeat Max & Charles both covering up for Tomas isn't shocking.

"EL SENOR DE LOS CIELOS":

HALIMACANDY: BPN pulls a Duterte & launched into anti-US rhetoric by bashing the United States involvement in Iraq, Somalia, Yugoslavia, Panama, Haiti, Afghanistan, etc.,

He said this to Navarro's face (The DEA Special Agent in Charge from US).

Guy Ecker is portraying Navarro.

Daddy Casilas & Colonel Maldonado (she's hot) still in Turkey.

Lado

Andeas reaction was concerning. Some how Im not expecting this to go off as he plans. And its just as well..he deserves a real marrirage to whomever. I dont know what more Max can or can not do for Eliza to get him out of her system so shes undeserving of Andreas. I think he gets hurt in all this if he does marry Elixa to help her.

I havent looked up the jimsonweed info but glad to see theres some logic behind the facial spritz which i cldnt stand 4 if it were me.

Will be interesting 2 see how Ernie handles the Raquel situation. Hope he figures out a way to keep her in US vs causing more harm.

Tommy turning dark after the way he was dumped...not surprising....but tough break on his 1st job and the danger he put Charlie in...he shld have ran out instead of grabbing him. I too think both Max and Charlie saw his face..will be interesting to see how Max uses this

Nett

"LADO":

Nett: Tomas was bound to go full dark after Fruda humiliated him like that. Don't be shocked if we see 66 telling Tomas to rob her house & kill her.

On Raquel: I see Paula sending Pastrana to finish off Raquel.

LADO

Nett, I still think scum Max will use the information about Tomás to trap Eliza.

I wish a fairy tale ending for Eliza and Andres.

Lado

Steve...you have a point bout Paula...if she isnt happy with how Ernie handles Raquel. However Paula is tiring of being used and minimized by the guys so perhaps she wont feel the need to clean up this one.

Nett

Lado

I don't think Max saw Tomás. They struggled for the gun, but both of them seemed to be facing the same way. I'm unclear about when the ski mask came off Tomás' face, but I clearly remember both their faces in the same direction. I assume the mask came off during the struggle. As soon as the gun went off and we saw Charlie crumpling to the ground, Max ran toward his son, not looking back. And a horrified Tomás ran in the other direction and got out of the house. Charlie definitely saw his brother, but kept silent.

Lado

I don't think Max saw Tomas either, he's such a dummy, I thought he would have recognized him from just looking into his eyes, like Andres did with Benny when he attacked Max and was wearing a mask.

"LADO":

Victoria: Deadbeat Max will NEVER let Eliza go ever! I feel bad for Andres, who'll likely get the rug pulled under from him AGAIN in all likelihood.

Nett: I wouldn't be surprised if Paula has Pastrana take care of Santiago as well along with Raquel. I mean Raquel will TALK about what happened inside the 18-Wheeler.

Deb: We all HOPE law enforcement agencies can find Steven's decomposing body inside the freezer, but I'm NOT holding my breath of that happening because Jennifer will make sure she either chops up the body or throws it in the lake.

Novelera: I noticed that Lorena was talking to probably Dr. Marquez (who was in the hospital), what does she have planned ?

Lado

The recap will be late and likely short. I have my monthly Friday night dinner tonight.

"LADO":

Novelera: I'll be looking forward to your big recap :)

LADO

Steve
Which novela that you've watched has had the largest tally of "knocked off" characters?

Lorena isn't giving up on fu**ing with Sofia. "A woman scorned...."

Why is Joel so stupid? Why is Max such a deadbeat coward galán. Is this really what the writers think we want in our galáns?

El Señor de los Cielos 6

some of the current story was filmed in Istanbul, Turkey, beautiful shots, at the end of the show they did a "behind the scenes" segment from there, it is so cool watching how they put this together, parts were filmed using drones, Miguel Varoni is one of the cartel heads in the story, but he is also one of the films directors.

LADO – VIERNES – Parte 1 de 2

“It’s always darkest before the dawn.” First said by English theologian Thomas Fuller and the stock in trade of telenovela writers. Nothing much good happened tonight.

Lots of scenes from last night repeated and then we see Max walking around outside the Sullivan manse with a couple of LAPD. Jennifer rushes into the house, seemingly smelling danger before she even sees it. Looking out at Max and the cops her eyes bug out and her jaw drops about 2.5 inches.

Max and the cops go into the Popsicle Steve Storeroom and J-Low lets out a chorus of No…no…no….no. She runs into the storeroom and finds the cops with the freezer open pulling out …something. But no; it’s waaaay too early for Steve to be found. It’s only Jennifer having a hallucination. But she looks like a nutcase in front of the cops saying they can’t be in there.

Tomás is distraught at the Devil’s House, thinking he might have killed Charlie. The miserable little rat Benny tells him to control himself; 66 shouldn’t see him cry. Tomás agrees with Benny that he wanted to punish his father. But once he was inside the house he felt that this was his family and he didn’t want 66 to come inside and kill anyone.

I misread Johnny’s reaction to what Frida said in the interview about his being incapable of expecting anything from women he was helping succeed (or words to that effect). He tells the woman interviewer that he wants what she said edited out. And, after the woman leaves, grabs Frida by the throat and threatens her. She tells him she’s an artist, not a piece of meat. But Johnny assures her she’d be right at home in a Safeway meat counter.

At Casa Martinez Alondra tells Ale/Sofi that she knows she was only using her (Alondra) to get close to her father. She looks a bit hesitant when A/S reminds her of their friendship, but we get the whole murky grey scene of Paula poisoning her mind. Alondra ends up telling A/S never to speak to her again.

Gabriel Porras, er… Ernesto Martinez makes a great speech at what looks like a memorial service at the consulate for the 5 victims who died inside the truck. He actually tears up and finishes with rousing the crowd to ¡Todos somos Jessi! Ale/Sofi is there and Joel also, with one of his dumb disguises.

At Casa Sullivan Charlie asks tentatively if his father thinks they’ll find the robber. Max doesn’t think so, unless the jewelry turns up on the black market.

Carlos and some other guy say something about Ernesto having gained 20 million votes with his speech.

In the kitchen of her home Eliza tells Rodrigo and Karina that she’s going to divorce their father. She hasn’t brought up marrying Andrés. Tomás comes home, sees the long faces, and asks if Charlie died. When he hears what’s really happening, he’s rude to his mother when she notices he smells of alcohol. Later Karina explains to her mother about his breaking up with Frida, thinking that’s all that’s bothering him.

LADO – VIERNES – Parte 2 de 2

Dr. Márquez, calls Joel from a hospital bed. More darkest… because Lorena picks up Joel’s land line and says she’s his wife. Márquez won’t tell her exactly what he wants, but does say it’s about his sister’s autopsy and Sofía Villavicencio. We get a nice long flashback of said Márquez lying through his teeth about Irene having been shot at quemarropa.

After her conversation with Karina, Eliza goes to Tomás and tries to comfort him. She says, when he’s ready to talk, she’ll be there.

Joel comes home to find Lorena playing Wifey. She’s looking good, has fixed his favorite meal, and is getting ready to pour the wine. He notices a call from Mexico, and she lies about having answered it, saying it must not have been important or they’d have left a message. Just then a knock. It’s Sofía, who coldly remarks to Lorena that she thought she was in Colombia.

Margarita is searching Alondra’s room frantically when said Alo comes in. Margarita comes right out and asks her if Paula has given her something. Alo only gets mad and tells her to leave.

Jennifer tries to seduce Max. I was ready to throw up if he had sex with the evil witch but he goes into the other room.

Eliza is looking through family pictures of Max and the twins when they were kids. Carmen gets overbearing again and almost tries to take them from her. Eliza asks to be alone and we get some long flashbacks of the past.

Sofía has come to tell Joel she thinks Alondra is being drugged.

Eliza calls Max to tell him she wants to meet him at the Mexican consulate at 9:00 but says she doesn’t want to discuss it over the phone. J-low, of course, overhears him planning to meet with Eliza and tells him that this is why he didn’t want to make love to her.

"EL SENOR DE LOS CIELOS".

"LADO":

Novelera: Alondra getting more & more EVIL. Time to give up on this spoiled bratty BITCH!

Victoria: Johnny mentioned Frida would look good hanging in a meat locker. Sounds prophetic.

I noticed that Lorena is hell-bent on keeping Joel non-stop. But the big question is where are Richard & Patrick ?

"EL SENOR DE LOS CIELOS":

HALIMACANDY: BPN pulls a Duterte with anti-US rhetoric & tells Navarro & Castillo to get the Hell out of his office.

He tells Mayra to call Jaime. She does.

Daddy Casilas & Ambar get freaky in steamy shower sex in Instabul, Turkey.

Ritula in Colombia searching for Super Javi.

"LADO":

Victoria: Time for the Karma List.

1.) Ernesto: Looks like Don Carlos will plot to have Ernesto in Los Pinos as President.

2.) Paula

3.) Jennifer

4.) Alondra: Spoiled bratty BITCH needs her Karma & anvils soon.

5.) Julian

6.) The Corrupt Doctor

7.) Deadbeat Max

8.) Lorena

Thanks so much, novelera, for your excellent recap. You went far beyond the call of duty, given that your plate was already full last night.

You were so right in pointing to the telenovela practice of always having the darkest come before the dawn. I especially appreciated your cheering things up with "the Popsicle Steve Storeroom"!

J-Low is certainly a piece of work. She does bug eyes better than anyone else I know. And she never quits trying to pretend that the three of them are a happy family, and that Max and she should make love. I think the television manufacturers were all rooting for her to succeed, since if Max had given in to her wishes, everyone in Viewerville would have thrown things through their TV sets, thereby having to go out and buy new ones.

Although Alo told Margarita to leave, I think the look on her face after Margarita left suggested to me that perhaps she was still considering what Margarita had said. I hope so.

Some people have been predicting that 66 will get killed, thus freeing Tomás from his "obligation." Frankly, after last night, I wouldn't be unhappy if Benny too left this world.

Lado

dripping in snark, shall we say, what an excellent recap novelera, loved it!

Ernesto is still promoting good things for the 3 survivors.

I think Max said the cops found some fingerprints on the fence. they sure did a thorough search, (without finding Steve) it usually only takes about 5 minutes for novela cops not to find anything.

Tomas really needs to accept the fact that he is a gangbanger, drug dealer, and possible killer, and not just a good guy paying off a debt.

when I go shopping today I'll look for Frida in the meat section, hmm, Tomas' original plan was that they run away together, and handle her career themselves.

so Paula and Pastrana let Marquez live.

Margara, as Alo calls her, seems to be tipping her hand after working for Ernesto for so long.

and is Sofia still carrying around then empty lemonade bottle?

I agree Juanita, Jen does bug eye pretty good, also love her no, no, no.

"LADO":

Deb: Looks like Raquel will get deported AGAIN!
