Episode 28, Part 1: The Doctor’s in the House

BBB calls Simon and is glad Simon liked the girl. After she hangs up, Omar tells her that Simon and Julieta, aka Pene, seemed to know each other…at first they argued, but then they were having a good ol’ time. BBB wonders what Simon and Juls are up to. She thinks Pene is there to get info and give it to the feds. BBB you are not that lucky, it is much worse. She also assumes Pene is the one who entered and put in the mics.

Simon tells JP he was right about Pene. He was a doubting Tomas and had to see to believe. Simon thinks the girls are crazy to get involved in something like that. Simon wants JP to explain how they were involved with the mayor.

Emi is home and brought a surprise with her. And what a surprise...Pickle almost turns back into a cucumber for a second there. PickledGlo recognizes Eman as her husband’s friend, but Eman denies having any type of relationship with Armando other than being associates of the club. PickledGLo insists, but Emi doesn’t think Eman could be involved with her father since he works with Interpol. Eman explains that Emi has been working for him; and since they have been spending time together, they have become close friends.

JP tells Simon about the video and explains what Bella plans to do …the vengeance thing.

Leonor wants to find a job, but BBB tells her no one would hire her. They talk about how Leonor’s mother didn’t know that her father had another family and how Leonor’s mother would be disappointed with both Leonor and Omar.

Omar comes in and tells BBB that BelMar is there. BelMar introduces Dr. Mendez aka Mike as her buyer and dermatologist.

Simon now understands why JP always suspected Bella and is sure that Bella killed Castor. He can’t seem to internalize everything so he goes out to “think”. He recalls his conversation with Pene.

Mike sure looks delicious in a suit and impresses BBB. Leonor comes in to serve and Mike Mike takes a look at her and tells her he has treated many with her condition and has had great success, but BBB tells her to leave. They talk about the car deal. OMG control yourself BBB. If she ever touches those huge muscles, she will be nude on the coffee table by the next commercial.

An uncomfortable Eman says he has to leave. Pickled Glo wants him to address her more informally since they are about the same age. (like 'my place or yours?') After Eman leaves, PickledGlo tells Emi that her father would talk a lot about Eman, but Emi insists that they not associate Eman with her father. PickledGlo thinks Eman would make a good match for her and hopes that Emi will help her snatch him. Oh Boy.


 

Episode 28, Part 2: The Doctor’s in the House

BBB doesn’t understand how such a handsome man could be single. Mike tells her that when he was overseas he discovered some organic cream that the women used; so he started using it with success. BBB begs him to see her immediately. Um, yeah see all of her?

Outside the fed building, Omar watches JP and Simon exit the building. He makes some cryptic phone call.

Bella tells Pene that she has the luxury cars she needs. Pene then tells Bella that Simon was her first client. Bella figures JP told Simon about what they are doing.

JP and Simon continue their talk about Bella’s mission. Simon wonders how JP is going to go after the beast through the law side. Simon thinks they should let things happen as they should.

Mike has BBB giggling like a school girl. If she ever grabs on to those arms, she will slide out of her chair and… well, you know… :-) BBB tells Dr. Mendez that she is desperate. She has had several surgeries and doesn’t want anymore. Dr. Mendez would be honored to help her; but before they agree to the treatment, he warns her that there is a price, but he’s not talking money. To get the results she wants, she must first sacrifice her beauty.
JP, Simon, Pene and Bella get together at Bella’s house and talk since Simon already knows everything. Simon suggests that they work together, but JP reminds them that Bella has 48 hours before he goes and turns them in to the Madame.

Mike sees that Madame has already deposited the check Bella gave her. Afte Pene leaves he watches her walk out through the camera. Omar is outside and takes pictures of Pene. He makes a call and says that he has info. Mike: ANYBODY nearby in a black SUV with tinted windows should be killed. Sort it out later.

Omar is with BBB and shows her the picture of Pene. He tells her that JP’s and Simon’s girlfriends live in that house. BBB is convinced that Pene is Julieta.

Mike tells Pene and Bella that Omar knows who they are. Bella is meditating yoga style and tells them that right now they need to focus on getting the cars.

JP and Simon are in their office. They’ve hacked into Mike’s computer and are wondering why Bella needs so many cars. Simon thinks they should let Bella go ahead with her plan.

Emi goes in and talks business, she is upset that Eman told her mother that they were friends. Emi gives in and makes plans to go to lunch with him after he tells her he will talk to her mother eventually.

Mike checks out his arsenal. The girls get into their Blackout Ninja outfits. Afterwards, Bella says that by this time tomorrow BBB will be in hell.

Episode 28, Part 3: The Doctor’s in the House

JP and Simon are tracking the cars Bella purchased via satellite. Wait, What? How did these two jump so far ahead? Beanie time!!

The B team is on a bridge. Meanwhile, Simon tells JP to call Bella and ask what her plan is. JP has already tried; so Simon calls Pene to see if he can find out what they are planning. Simon asks if what she is doing has anything to do with the convoy of cars that is on the way. He lets her know that the cars are being tracked.

They leap off the bridge and on to the truck that is carrying the cars. The driver hears noise but can’t see anything; so he stops. The B Team hijacks the trailer. Bela swarms into the cab with the driver and puts a razor to his throat just to let him know they are not just hitchhiking. He understands. He should have worn his Depends. Meanwhile, JP notices that the truck has come to a stop and thinks Bella has something to do with it. Simon doesn’t think they will steal the cars, but JP is convinced that the B team is there.

BBB arrives at Eman’s office, but Eman is not pleased since he doesn’t want anyone to now that he is associated with her or the other ASSociates. When he asks what it is she needs, BBB tells him she needs a favor…to follow a woman she hired. After Eman insists that BBB needs to make an appointment to see him, BBB agrees then gives him the info she has…he grunts.

Leanor and Omar talk about how BBB liked Dr. Mendez. When he asks Leonor her opinion of Julieta. Leanor tells him that Juls has gotten close to Melina.

BBB explains to Eman that the woman in the sketch was the one that got close to Hor and now she thinks that woman is after her.

JP goes out looking for the trailer. Over the phone, Simon tells him to be careful. JP catches up to the trailer, shouts to the driver to stop and tells him to unlock the trailer. He then asks where the people are that hijacked him, but the driver is too scared out of his wits and has not regained the ability to talk yet. Simon thinks that the B team is inside the trailer with the cars, but JP does his best cop creep on an empty trailer and finds air. Oh well, it looked cool.

Bella, Pene and Mike are off cutting through traffic like ghetto rats who just stole $3 million worth of cars…and that’s only 3 luxury cars they stole! Bella calls Pene and Mike and tells them they did very well.

Eman goes looking for Emi so they can go to lunch. Emi tells him to go ahead; she doesn’t want the other employees to talk. Eman tells her she is being childish, but Emi tells him he has lots to do to make up for what he did. Shoulda given one of the BBB girls a whirl Romeo.

Leanor tells BBB that she wants to talk to the dermo to see if he can do something for her…BBB laughs and tells her the doctor is not a miracle worker.

Eman looks at the pictures Omar took which BBB gave him during lunch. He calls Bella.

JP and Simon question the driver who told them that three persons held him up. JP is convinced it was the B team since the driver said it was 2 women and a man; Simon still has his doubts.

The B team arrives at some warehouse where they leave the cars. Now they need to continue with the rest of their plan…

Kirby, it's not nice to tease Steve when he can't watch :-)

Let's hope these 'man made materials' are not flammable. Unless Bela & Co. plan to set her alight.

Very interesting that Emilia’s mom remembered Emanuel and his connection with her husband and did not seem to be too eager to forget it or be talked out of it. Even more interesting Emilia’s mom wanting Emilia to help her go out with Emanuel. Whoopsie! Maybe

Rgv Chick, thank you for capturing all the elements of this exciting epsiode so perfectly! Masterfully accomplished.

My absolute favorite was "Pickle almost turns back into a cucumber for a second there" but "PickledGlo" is a close second.

"She thinks Pene is there to get info and give it to the feds. BBB you are not that lucky, it is much worse". Yes, we can only hope, right?

"Mike sure looks delicious in a suit and impresses BBB". She wasn't the only one. My gaze was transfixed. Wow...

"BelMar introduces Dr. Mendez aka Mike as her buyer and dermatologist". It's bothered me that while Bella et al have defined what the final results will be, it hasn't been clear exactly how they are going to accomplish that. Granted, hawt Mike captured BBB's attention, but what next?? Miracle "organic cream" sounds fantastic but how, when were still unclear.. THEN - "To get the results she wants, she must first sacrifice her beauty" was uttered and we were given a not so subtle clue.

"PickledGlo thinks Eman would make a good match for her and hopes that Emi will help her snatch him. Oh Boy". ITA! Still, Pickle seemed a little more sober in Em's presence. And Jarifa, you were right - her recollection of Em and her late hub's relationship seemed clear despite her drunken haze.

Mike and Leonor? What do you think?

I thought the car theft was great although I'm not clear on most of that. Doesn't matter.

I thought Omar was a bit of a twit initially. I'm afraid they "made" Pene. Please writers, don't let her be collateral damage.

Chickie Thank You for a fun recap. Non stop fun in this one. Pickle IS a happy drunk. Oblivious that her daughter is banging a fellow she would like to go out with. I guess we DID miss her.

Did anyone get the details of the car theft, aside from "Who wouldn't if they could"?
My take is the three cars were the three that were part of the 'Car-A-Week' deal for Dr. Dermo which BBB did not carry in Mango Motors and had to be bought elsewhere to fill her order for Mike (Dr. Martinez the Dermo)

Why the B team had to steal them at gun/knife point on a freeway in broad daylight escapes me, unless it was a conbobulated way to bankrupt BBB as though those vehicles were uninsured in transport.

If anybody got more than that please enlighten us.

I just wish they had left a nice little birthday style banner in the truck for JP which proclaimed !SURPRISE!

Man, a cleaned up covered up BIG Mike sure thawed BBB. That is the most human-like I have seen her thus far. She got right in his face one time,and I wondered if she was going to try to steal a kiss, but she somehow regained control of herself.

So once again, does a no disguise disguise work, in that after thinking that JP, Simon, Pene, and Bela live together they have not discovered Mike as the dermatologist? I suppose he doesn't get out much.

I wonder, do they do it with the audio equipment, or is Mike's voice that much deeper than little JP and Simon?

To not drive around much in a city where everybody walks or takes a cab, those three looked like NASCAR stealing those cars, which I'd bet are a handful to drive in traffic.

Yeah me too Steve. They know who she is, where she lives, and what her disguise (Julieta) is as one of Madame's girls. They have staked out Bela's house, and have pictures of Pene.

If Bela gets Pene killed in her quest for vengence, it will be hard to forgive her, as she will have blurred the line between good (Bela) and evil (beasts).

That is a thought which I can't seem to shake, that Bela can morph herself into a version of the very Beasts she is killing in her quest for their blood.

Good Morning. Patio Pals!! Thanks everyone :-) Diana, I'm glad I accomplish my goal of making you feel valued...because you and everyone else have become valuable and cherished friends. Your comments are a delight to read and make the TN so much more entertaining.

Jarifa, PickleGlo's stupor seems to not have affected her memory. Hadn't she mentioned something about a relationship between Armando and Eman before? I think she mentioned it once before when JP was present, but then something happened and it was blown off...because she was so drunk, I believe.

Diana, I was mesmerized by Mike too! Wow...I liked him before...now I think I'm in luurve :-) And I think most of us are stumped by that car chase/theft. Kirby, what I got was that BBB got all the cars she needed to fulfill Dr. Mendez's order. So there was a convoy coming from Monterrey of the 200 cars plus the trailer that was carrying the luxury cars that were needed for the order. I guess the B team targeted the luxury cars because of their value and because they all just happened to be in the trailer. I know there a LOTS of beanie moments just in this storyline...if anyone can figure them out...please share. I did notice one for sure. When Bella popped into the cab of the trailer, her mask was off! Why bother wearing it if yo're going to expose yourself to the victim!

What Bella's strategy is continues to be quite obscure. Lucio is good at figuring these things out, maybe he has figured it out. Lucio?

Diana, Mike and Leonor...I had pondered that...so maybe???

Oh gosh, Pene can't die, Kirby and Steve...that would be devastating for Bella...and Viewerville.

200 cars? Those which JP&Sim were looking at on the computer at Interpol? Then where did I get 52 cars for his car-of-the-week? Three Lambos? Im cornfused. I suppose I am getting mired in the details and should sit back and enjoy the ride. It almost feels like LooneyVision skipped an ep where Bela and Mike were laying out this master plan.

We saw the blue car hauler with the 3 luxury sports cars leaving Monterey, as it said it on the screen.

I'd be happy to just steal the blue truck ! Notice how Univision cheapos removed the Volvo emblem on the diagonal chrome across the grill? The one last night was missing..Sheezo.

Oh well, there are greater mysteries in life.

Rgv Chick, I can't even consider Pene would be taken from "us"...

I love strong women working together! Being fully supportive of each other and friendship rooted in trust. They've learned "We Rise By Lifting Others" (source unknown).

Pene is much more vulnerable than Bella which makes her being "ID'd" (along with the fact she's not the top protag) worrisome.

The whole Eman/Emi/Pickle thing has me concerned for the "good" (it's all relative) people involved. Basically I think anything involving Eman is cause for concern.

Between JP and Mike is there anything they can't hack into or bug???

But it would also not make sense to lose one of the B team now.


Plus, I am really enjoying watching Julieta too. All that jumping around and fighting sure has her in tip top shape.

Maybe Dr. (Mike) is planning on talking BBB into something like a facial peel, or dermabrasion which will take off years, but of course it goes horribly wrong. She wakes up looking ten times worse than Lenora and commits suicide.

Kirby, that is a very frightening speculation but maybe an accurate one. These telenovelas seem to feel taking away the beauty of attractive, vain female villains is a fitting fate.

Whatever I hear them talk about Interpol, I think James Bond 007 !! Interpol was always Manned with good guys in the Bond movies, so I do not like creepy Eman being in Interpol.

Do we know for sure that to Eman and Emi are actually bunnyhopping now ? Poor Pickle.

P.s. My tablet wanted to change bunnyhopping to either functioning, bungling, or bun building . It also suggested turning Interpol into interpolate.
 

Susy after the episode where Emi came out only wearing Cool Whip and Eman started tasting it, the next night there is a quick flashback showing them heading for the bed, so I chalked that up to a hop.

Poor Pickle? Because Emi beat her to Eman or something?

Now there's a sentence that packs a wallop. My old newspaper editor would have loved you Rgv Chick, because you would have been great at writing headlines and a first paragraph that would draw folks in. Anyway, that snazzpola observation just jumped out at me.

Of course there are also the Cool-Whip Chronicles that we will all remember long after we've forgotten the rest of this telenovela. Anxiously awaiting Fall, for a change in programming, but enjoying spending a hot, steamy time on the Patio with you all.

Soggy here in Ohio and will continue to be, possibly all next week! But I'll need some cooling off after thinking about Mike's musculature!

The B team successfully stashes the three stolen Maserati/Lamborghini/Ferrari or whatever they were cars in a garage. High Fives all around. JP and Simon are playing catch up as usual. The boys can bed these two, but they can't stop them from doing their jobs for them. Que lastima !

BBB having a meltdown over what Omar has told her. The cars are gone? Oh Noes Yes Maam. But she paid for them with her own money!

OMG Pickle and Eman on a date at a restaurant together. Eman was expecting Emi too but Pickle says she will not be coming. Hmmmmm. Wine for Pickle? Nopis Vodka double?

JP&Simon at Comeback. “Where are the friggin cars?” he is screaming. He accuses her of having the cars, she says, “Oh yeah, prove it.”

BBB at home talking on the phone to Eman who has to sneak away from Pickle, who has downed her first screwdriver already. Emanuel and BBB are talking about the two girls; he wants to know about the other girl with the limp hair. All BBB knows is that they live together. He tells her if she hurts either one of the girls; he’ll turn her into the authorities, but she counters that if he doesn’t get her the info on the girls, she’ll have much more to say to the authorities about him.

BBB calls for Omar then finds out Leonor has left. BBB thinks that Leanor is ungrateful…after all she has done for her.

At Comeback the girls try to calm down the little Fuzz with sweet talk. Don't they ever lock the doors at Comeback? JP tells Bella that he saw her with his own eyes. . JP knows what she's capable of since he knows what she did to Castor and his son. Bella told him that she had nothing to do with the stealing of the cars; he asks her to swear on her parent’s grave, but she refuses. He tells her that if he has to lock her up he will do it.

Bela and Mike are talking about the money. Mike said the money is there. Pene comes in and says that they should take out all the money, but Bella says that, no, that money will be for Omar and Lenore. Pene wants to go with Bella, but Bella tells her to stay there because they've already found her out.

As JP hugs Bella he drops his phone in her backpack. He leaves and leaves Simon there.  When Simon asks if they stole the car, Pene thinks he's just like JP. She asks if he thinks that they are capable of doing something like that. He says yes. When she remains quiet, he says OK then you did steal the cars.

BBB and Omar have a big fight because Lenora has gone. Omar seems ready to leave too. BBB thinks that Leonor is ungrateful. Omar tells BBB that it's because of the way she treated her. She brings up that he's a convict but then he says that he was incarcerated because of her because he was trying to help her. When BBB tells Omar that they have to leave, he refuses, he will not step 1 foot out of the house with her.

Pickle has moved to Eman's side of table and is slurring her words. She is having one helluva good time.
Move quick Eman, she will be asleep in twenty minutes.

Two guys kidnap Pene as she gets home and is unlocking the door, throw her in a car and leave. Mike for once does not happen to be looking at the camera feed.

 

JP and Simon now talking to BBB. BBB tells JP that they need to find those cars; they can't just hide them anywhere. Bella asks them to please find the cars. She gets a call and says that she's to take it. It is her Dermo. Dr. BBB lights up like a Christmas tree. Doc has an unexpected trip to the States and wants to give her the treatment before he leaves. They make plans to meet. He asks about the cars and she says to not worry about that. He tells her he'll go over to her house.

Eman and Pickle still on their date. What a riot. Wheelbarrow date. She tells him she can tell when a man is interested, and she will now be quiet and let him (and mostly Smirnoff ) seduce her.

Rent-A-Goons are beating the shit out of Pene as BBB is in the car and talks to Omar. Omar is the one with the over the head hood. He can die anytime now. Omar asks BBB why she sent those men to kidnap that girl. She tells him to get that information from that girl. He needs to investigate everything. He tells her that he'll do it, but she better help him find Leonor afterwards.

JP, Simon with Ric and he asks JP and Simon if they know or have any idea where the cars are. JP tells him that they suspect Bella. Rick can't believe it. He says he's not doing his work and asks for proof. The next time JP accuses Bella he will leave that department. Simon tells Rick that JP is not lying. .

Bela and Mike in a slick BMW convertible as Mike is now Dr. Mendez. Bella wonders why BBB made her appointment there at Horacio's old house. And BBB wants to know what Maritza is doing there. Dr says Maritza is very familiar with the treatments and could be a support for her; he hopes she doesn't mind. When Doc asks about the house, BBB tells them that it belongs to a friend who had just died and didn’t leave a will. Since it’s in probate she can use it in the meantime.

Pene figures out it is Omar, calls him by name and he takes off his hood. Omar tells her he's not stupid either her name is not Julieta. He knows that she is working for the feds. He asks for the cars, but she says she doesn't know what he's talking about. She better start talking right now or she'll find out why he was in prison.

Oh Boy Dr. Mike has brought a metal briefcase with syringes and bottles. WooHoo. Mike tells BBB that one little vile is enough to get the results she wants. He tells her about a stronger product but Bella tells him that it's not fair because he didn't let her try it. Dr. told her that this product is more expensive, but BBB says money doesn’t matter. BBB insists that he give her that product as soon as possible. She wants it NOW.

Pene is having quite a conversation with Omar. While Dr Mike gives BBB instructions. Omar still thinks that Julieta works for the feds. Pene tells him to untie her hands; she know he's not like his sister. If he were like her he would be torturing her by now.

BBB can't wait to use the product so she goes for the check to pay him.

 

JP is at Bella's house and nobody's there. Simon snooping around and JP calls Simon who is at the gym and nobody's there either.

Eman gets Pickle home. Why do we call her Pickle anyway? He tells her that she needs to go to bed and she assumes he wants to “take her to bed.” He loses patience and yells NO! at her. Nonookie for you slim. No happiness all around.

Oh shoot, Pickle is not a hoppy drunk now, BooHoo. Pickle tells him that she's not like others. She doesn't know how to control her alcohol when she gets anxious. She tells him that his presence intimidates her. He's going to get her some coffee. She apologizes for pressuring him. She says what would make her happy would be to close her eyes and never open them again because she would just see how pathetic she is.

Omar has Pene in the bathtub and running water.

Oh good, JPS at BBB’s house, Omar answers door. JP asks for Maritza but Omar hasn't seen her. He then asks for BBB but she's not there. JP asks if every things OK; Omar says yes. They leave.

BBB gives Mike the check for BBB's 'treatment'. Mike marks her face where the injections are to go with a felt tip marker? He fills a syringe and they leave to let her administer her fountain of youth. Dr tells BBB that she needs to remember that once she applies a product it'll start with an opposite effect and then it'll start working. Once she sees herself in the mirror, she won’t recognize herself. Maritza suggests that 3 injections should be enough for BBB; she could give the other two injections to Leonor to help her, but BBB refuses. BBB tells him to leave her alone. She immediately goes about it like a big girl.

Omar is waterboarding Pene asking what she is up to. Melina calls Omar because Leonor is with her and is very scared. Omar is busy so he asks Melina to take care of Leonor for the night; he’ll go for her as soon as he can.

Eman is back at work, with Emi after tucking Pickle in. Emanuel ask Emi what she's doing there; he was taking care of her mother all afternoon. Emi thinks he probably didn't mention anything about them to her mother. She starts to make fun of him so he tells her to leave his office. Emanuel tells her that he will not be telling her mother that he has anything with her as this has ended. She's childish, and she no longer works there. Aw Missy, you gave it up and still got fired.

 

Popo have found the cars along with Israel and the lady lawyer. Israel tells them that the cars are not stolen; BBB has given them all the cars as severance pay so they can start their own dealership. They give JP and Simon a notarized document with BBB’s signature and finger prints.

BBB is beginning to resemble her sister more. Bella is back with her now as Bella. She lets her know the whole deal now. BBB keeps yelling that this has to be a joke…she can’t be like this.

JP and Simon still at the cars. He grabs the keys to a patrol car and takes off after he and Simon see that his phone (attached to Ms. Bela) is at Horacio's old house. (His former house)
Omar tells Juliet that she only has a few more minutes but she refuses to talk. She pleads that he let her go…this will be on his conscience, but Omar doesn't care about his conscience. Melina calls and asks for help with Leonor. But Omar can't go.




Water is getting deep in the tub and the show is over.

Whoa...that last sentence makes me very nervous. "Water is getting deep in the tub and the show is over." As much as we rail and fume about the writers, they sure know how to leave us with a cliffhanger. I'm not even watching this and I'm still nervous!

Forget anything where a sudden downpour could make you look foolish like a bicycle. It will wait until you have no chance of getting away from spectators, much less HOME, and then turn on waterworks.

OT: I just can't see them killing off Pene, what will Simon do? JP, Bela, Simon or BIG Mike is bound to figure out where she is and save her. I was thinking those old tubs like that have stoppers rather than the lever with linkage to down below. Can she flip over and pull it with her teeth?

I wasn't sure where Pene is. Did Omar have her at BBB or Horacio or somewhere else? If at BBB house, Bela is still there isn't she?

I appreciate that you infused some wit and stone cold truth with "Nonookie for you slim. No happiness all around" to this sobering, somber episode.

Trying to sleep last night, I kept replaying Pene gasping for air as she fought for her life. Initally Omar seemed rather sad and pity worthy but he is truly his sister's brother. Was it you who commented that if Pene does die, Bella will be responsible? I agree and as I don't think such an anvil would be placed on the lead protag's head, I am going to beleive she survives.

JP and Simon are always lagging behind. If they had saved Pene, they would have proven to have some worth, but they are chasing their tales as JP whines, complains and threatens. Bella can't be controlled. Believe it. Accept it.

I don't think BBB will choose to live in her present state.

Jarifa, I also hope Emi will be banished from our screens. When her mother is sober, she is fairly intuitive. It's really sad who she has become.

Judy and Jarifa, the sun is out unexpectedly so I hope it makes its way to both of you.

Well the sun isn't out and won't be Diana. But it was marvelously cool this morning so after making an emergency trip to the grocery store (no matter how many times I go, there is always something we need RIGHT NOW that we don't have), I took a walk in the park.

But expected to be like Kirby, caught in the rain and a long way back to shelter. However, my luck held. Only problem, some group was having a get together in the shelter house and the guys were cooking bacon and pancakes. Oooh my, what a heavenly aroma. Oatmeal, however healthy, just doesn't come close!!!!

Would the writers really kill off Pene? Can you imagine what that would do to Mike and Bella? Mike would relive his agony and since he trained Pene...though she didn’t do as well with that exercise in freeing her tied hands. And Bella would lose another BFF to the beasts! That would just be too much for both of them.

Kirby, Pene is at BBB’s house...that’s probably why BBB met with Doc at Hor’s house. So Bella was still at Hor’s house when the show ended.

I got a kick out of Eman unnerved at seeing Emi 20 years into the future. All that whiney sloppy drunky isn’t so fetching in a middle-aged bod is it, Eman? Knowing her mom thought of Eman as a potential beau, it was cruel of Emi to laugh about Pickle being nervous on what she thought of as her first date with him. Poor Pickle. JP needs to get her in rehab.

Even though Pene was the slower one in Mike's untie hands class, she did get the job done. And I’m thinking it’s easier to untie with the rope drenched by water. This TN sure knows how to do a cliffhanger.

Yay, so in truth Bella did not steal the cars. Loved Bella confronting BBB. But I confess I've never liked disfigurement as a punishment. But I did like the sight of BBB injecting the needle in her first. So, on the fence I sit.

Heavy, steady rain here, but now it's cool enough to quit the air conditioning and open the windows for fresh air. Glad the afternoon anniversary party I'm attending is indoors.

Bela confronting BBB was worth watching, but I could just not bring myself to watch BBB injecting herself...so what is fear of shots called...HA! I just looked it up and the closest thing I found was "aichmophobia or belonephobia" which is generally a fear of sharp objects...so let's see who can come up with a name--iniectophobia?? chicken?? woos??

Hmmm...bacon and pancakes....I certainly don't mind the smell of those too, but I'm one to either have salty or sweet...not both. BUT if someone would do a study and tell me that those two in combination would improve memory, I would certainly go for it....especially since I just found out that I've been driving with an expired license for almost a month...OOOPSIE!!

Good afternoon patio peeps. I am Sitting in my own patio watching and listening to the rain that started a little while ago. The thermometer reads 70, but there is a cool breeze and it feels much cooler. Looks like we will have cooler temperatures, rain, and thunderstorms all week here.

Kirby, Thank you for all the details. I surfed in and out last night. I had trouble watching Dr. Mike marking BBB's face , and then , her injecting poison into her own face...uff. Dr. Mike looks like he might burst out of that jacket. #,muscles.

Watching Pene hogtied, bloodied, and struggling underwater was awful. However, she has a very strong core, so I think that she might be able to pull herself up out of the water. Kirby, you are right about those oldtubs. That's what we had at the farm.

Watching Pickle reminds me of why my drinking is limited to about five whiskey sours or some Asti Spumante mostly on special occasions and dinners out throughout the year. Embarrassing myself in front of others is something I usually try to avoid.

As to the bacon and eggs, well I love bacon but only occasionally indulge. My dad used to make bacon and peanut butter sandwiches on toast. He was skinny his whole life, but then as a farmer, he was always running around outside. He wore a belt and suspenders and still couldn't keep his pants up !!! We did have BLTs the other night for dinner and the leftover bacon with scrambled eggs,potToes, onions, and mushrooms The next day for brunch. Huh bakes the bacon in the oven. I do often have eggs and toast for breakfast because I eat very little meat. This morning I had Multigrain Cheerios..my lazy breakfast food choice.My mother smoked, liked beer, had a terrible diet, and never exercised .....she lived to be 90 and had a mind as sharp as her tongue!!!

Well , tonight we will have to brave the rain for Hub's birthday 🎂 dinner at his favorite restaurant. Have a good weekend , all !!!

NiNa AFAIK just being in a tub of water with your hands tied does not mean you are drowning, as the preferred method is to keep pushing the person under till she/he drowns.

Pene is in excellent shape, with not an ounce of fat on her. Her lung capacity should be good, and she ought to be able to get out of the tub unguarded.

Maaaaan, Bela sure turned BBB into a one bagger. She will now kill herself or go bat shit crazy

I eat a lot of chicken when we go out ...sorry , Chickie. However, I prefer vegetables and fruit and pasta to meat. My mother prepared a lot of meat for our meals ...beef, pork, chicken, turkey....and occasionally tried to sneak in venison and pheasant ..and once bear. She told us the pheasant was chicken. Then, I bit into buckshot, and I knew that my dad did not shoot the chickens. #trickery
 

Aw, Looks like I am all alone in my love for tongue in any kind of cuisine along with many other so-called “variety meats”. I was raised on them.

Anyway, there is a great new series on Unimás on Friday nights at 9:00 central time. It is called “Érase una vez” (once upon a time) and it takes classic fairytales and gives them a modern interpretation. Last night was little red riding hood. I think it is a ten episode (?) limited series.

I think I may have eaten tongue when I was in France. I know I ate kidneys. Several times. The French can make anything taste wonderful. Even snails. Sooooo......

However, mostly whole grains, vegetables and fruit for me now. But I still love ordering salmon when I'm out to eat.

We often form opinions of other by things we see that fuel our perceptions and expectations.

Although we try never to judge by appearances, Lena's scars and disfigurement are hard to ignore. One's natural inclination would be to feel pity and sympathy.

My heart went out to her. How could this woman not be a good character, a good person?

Initially Omar elicited sympathy, a victim of BBB, controlled and ordered about, trying to eke out a living and protect his sister from their powerful half sibling. Yet, this cold blooded snake tried to murder Pene. Whether he was successful or remains to be seen.

Lena might well be a good person. But she has two bad siblings. Are they three peas in a pod or is she the exception?

Little would surprise me here.

Diana, good points and very well stated. I think Leonor/Lena wants to get away but has always been afraid to because of all the emotional and verbal, possibly physical, abuse she has gotten from BBB. We did see that snippet where she had just taken a shower and was having a drink. it was eerie how she was mimicking BBB and repeating all the insults BBB would tell her. I’m hopeoing that once Bella finds out what Omar did, or tried to do to Pene, she’ll somehow give him some type of payback and all the money will go to Lena so she can get some counseling and get her face repaired.

Sorry if I'm late for the party but just had to rant about one thing: Why is Interpol so public? In the early episodes the leader of a federal organization, Manuel got caught in the incriminating video where Quintero ordered the death of Bella's dad. Leon and Ricardo also openly know their leader when it should be top secret that only the Interpol elite should know. Manuel was even present on the funeral of Bella's parents for christ's sake and Bella knows Manuel works at Interpol.

It kinda makes Interpol look like a local funeral parlor instead of a top secret organization.

Excellent points about Interpol. It appears the writers have zero idea what Interpol is, and actually believe it is the local Federal Police on steroids or something.

This is in view of the fact that INTERPOL is an international organization which acts more of a liason or catalyst for the actual local law enforcements around the world.

I had assumed that it got scrambled in the translation or something. Thanks for clearing that one up.
 

Perhaps the reason why Manuel & "Interpol" are so public is because they're not really the INTERPOL but a honeypot set up to scare/ the drug gangs. It's an open secret that federal organizations operate in deceit. The Feds can legally lie to it's citiziens in pursuit of a crime.

It's possible that Manuel at one point in his career got promoted to director by people higher up the food chain. We're currently not aware if he's aware of his role though.

Without evidence to the contrary, maybe having to do with protecting Lene, Omar can go the way of the other beasts. But it sure looked like he had no qualms about drowning Pene. Was it an act just designed to force the truth out of Pene and he would have stopped before she actually died?

KJ was right on the fact that Interpol is just a liason between international agencies and police departments. Here's an excerpt from Wikipedia:

"Contrary to the way it is frequently portrayed in popular culture, Interpol is not a supranational law enforcement agency and has no agents who are able to make arrests. Instead, it is an international organization that functions as a network of criminal law enforcement agencies from different countries. The organization thus functions as an administrative liaison among the law enforcement agencies of the member countries, providing communications and database assistance, assisted via the central headquarters in Lyon, France."

Summary: Interpol doesn't do any raids or arrests but they do help the agencies a lot to communicate with other countries(their gigantic international database and 24/7 private communication network help a lot). Physically Interpol can fight crime as much as a mall cop can punch El Chapo into the face and live to tell the tale.
 

Even if the role of Interpol in BB is the same , EM certainly has much more power and affluence than any other lowlife mafioso. He should have free contact with other agencies or departments. Since almost anyone can be put on the Interpol alarm EM can by logic control borders. There are only 16 nations without Interpol membership.

Sorry for going all political on you but I just wanted to shed light on how powerful and influental EM truly is.


 

Well a BIG thank you, CountxAlacran. I didn't realize exactly what Interpol was/did and how important Emanuel is supposed to be. And here, he used his agents to track down Emi, took a few days to go romp in the woods with a "child," and took a whole afternoon to babysit a drunken Pickle. Oh yes, quite a powerful, dedicated man! PFFT!

Bela seemed to have John Wick like training to take all these guards down in Episode 2 and not of a martial arts student. I was quite shocked by that scene too.

EM reminds me of Joshs Brolin's character in Sicario. Brolin was more terrifying to me then the actual drug lord character.
 

Count: I noticed in the casino beatdown, the security goons appeared to be taking turns making their run at Bela, rather than all six or so pouncing at once. We were probably not supposed to notice that, but it made Bel look good.

When I saw Simon and Oene swapping spit..,I thought oh no. I want Muscle Mike to end up with her... Then our down trodden half sister, Lenore looked like she needed saving...Magic Mike to her rescue. Simon- Pene and MM with Lenore.
 

When MMike first went to see BBB he met Lenore and the way he tenderly caressed her face as he got sidetracked over her for a minute may have been a clue.

ITA Pene deserves a good action scene. So come on, let's see her jump out of the tub and give Omar a smackdown, before her crew comes to the rescue. She did well at first with the kidnappers (at least it took two to take her down).

Nina, Wikipedia says El Rico y Lázaro is 181 episodes long, but I don't know when it started. It looks like a lot of things are coming to some sort of conclusion, so I'm just guessing that within a month or so it should end. Maybe. It does seem like it's been on forever...
