Episode 50, Part 1: La Bella Under Fire

JP points out to Bela that she didn’t give him the video to help Emi or to trap the beasts and now she wants to do things her way. All this time she has been using him. What did they gain…just doing things her way. Bela says she is offering to help. JP sarcastically says she is so sweet ad fine and now she wants him to investigate La Joyera with her information. He tells her to give him the video and they can come to an agreement, but Bela refuses. JP says no deal and tells her Andrea will help him. Whoa, the lapdog peed in his owner's lap. You Go JPee

Eman stands and remembers his convo with Bela in the meeting room. He sighs deeply.

Glo is making copies when Emi approaches. When Emi asks why she is making copies of confidential info, Glo tells her she wants to review them at home. Emi asks what she will gain; GLo says proof. After Emi tells her that it is enough that she has allowed her to go through the files…which she shouldn’t have done, she tells Glo that she needs to go home NOW. Hmmm how many beasts do we have anyway?

Andrea comes in and tells Bela that she is there to help…she owes JP so much. Bela makes a sarcastic remark about what a big heart JP has and how he luurves to help others. After Bela leaves. JP apologizes for Bela’s attitude. Brat, no, that's not right, SNOTTY little Brat.

Pene goes to see Simon who wants to get it on, but Pene just came to talk. She reminds him that Mike is in the hospital and chides Simon because all he can think of is sex. Simon tells her this is not working and Pene tells him that what he needs is an inflatable doll. Simon walks out. Whew, glad nothing happened, I was afraid my TV would burst into flames.

Senator is giving instructions to his secretary when Cris calls and tells him that she needs to see them urgently…this afternoon in the club. Ig who is also on the line wonders if this has something to do with the past.

Andrea givea JP the info he asked for then asks if Bela is upset that she is working there. When JP tells her Bela is jealous of her, Andea wonders if Bela thinks JP likes her. JP tells her that he already told Bela that he is not interested in her (Andrea) and Bela has been using him. When he adds that she and Bela must know each other and seem to share some secret, Andrea rambles on about how she knows how Bela feels about him and how Bela shared some info about Colombia and Ale…but JP doesn’t believe that is all.

After Cris fires some men, Lucy tells Cris that someone is waiting for her…she couldn’t stop the young lady. Cris tells her she was waiting for the visitor. Once alone, Bela asks if Cris liked the little surprise. Cris tells her that the video can cause many inconveniences. Cris says that she is not an assassin and asks what Bela wants. Bela tells her that 1) she should not to anything against her and 2) she needs to tell her who the person is with his back to the camera. She will give her one chance to tell the truth. Ask Me ask Me!

Eman and Emi talk. Emi tells him about how her mother has changed and that she is set on proving that the associates had something to do with her father’s death...and she also wants to prove that Eman and her father were more than acquaintances.

 

Episode 50, Part 2: La Bella Under Fire

Bela tells Cris to talk. Cris wants to negotiate, but Bela refuses. When Cris tells Bela that is not how things will work with her, Bela asks what it is that Cris wants. Cris wants her to destroy the video and leave her alone. She can also give her a generous amount of money. Bela tells her that money is of no interest to her and if something happens to her, not only will the police get the video, but it will be publicized to the whole world so everyone can know about all the porquerías (crap) she has done.

The beasts meet. Ig wants to know if the video really exists so Cris plays it for them. Ig tells them that if that gets to the cops they will be a laughing stock. Senator is shocked that the cameras were not off; and Ig wonders if Bela knows that it was Eman who was there also. Cris tells him Bela doesn’t know, but she was trying to use that as a ploy to get Bela to destroy the video, but it didn’t work. Ig asks if Cris was going to give up Eman, so Cris tells him she was going to make up something else. The Senator thinks Eman should see the video; so Cris tells him Eman knows about it, but hasn’t seen it.

Eman is gets a text, looks at it, and throws his phone on the desk.

Mike tells Bela that her godfather knows why she came back to Mexico as Pene is with Mike trying to feed him. Pene tells Bela that Eman was going to find out eventually and thinks that Cris will show the video to Eman, but Bela thinks Cris won’t do it because if she does, Eman will send them all to jail immediately. Pene thinks Cris is meeting with the other beasts and that they are playing it over and over again. Bela relishes in the fact that the beasts won’t be sleeping at night. Wake up.

Senator wants to know what Bela wants…she has them (by the b***s) in her hands. Cris reminds them of Emi’s suggestion that all the deaths are related…and thinks that Bela wants to see all of them dead. Oh how preposterous Cristina.

JP and Andrea are at work when Glo walks in and wants to ask him a big favor. She wants JP to go with her to a property that his father owned. When JP asks what she is looking for, Glo says peace and something that will give her strength.

The beast go to Eman’s office. Senator tells Eman that they will make it known that he was the one with his back turned. Eman thinks this should be discussed elsewhere. Cris assumes that Eman is afraid that Bela will find out that he is just as much a killer as they are. Ig tells Eman that he thought the same as Eman…that things were being exaggerated, but now he agrees with Cris. Senator reminds Eman that the other associates died under suspicious circumstances. After Senator tells Eman that they all think the next target is Cris, Cris tells Eman that he better control his goddaughter. Or? What, take back the cuff links or something?

Mike asks why Bela is so thoughtful. When he assumes it’s about JP, Bela admits that she is feeling very jealous JP confided in Andrea and not her…and Andrea is beautiful and always close to JP. Ever since the Sue thing, she is very untrusting. Mike tells her that it hurts more to try to save a relationship than to end a relationship. Mike suggests that she look deep in her heart and ask herself if she wants to continue fighting for a relationship that may not work. Wow. WHATEVER they whacked Mike in the head with, Bela needs a couple of clonks also.

 

Episode 50, Part 3: La Bella Under Fire

JP and Glo arrive at the ranch house. Andrea, who went with them, asks if she really wants to go in. Glo remembers how beautiful the house was and that JP’s father wanted to live there after he retired.

Cris and Eman talk alone. Cris tells Eman that they have no other option. Eman tells her that if Bela wanted to destroy them, Bela would have given them up to the police. When Cris tells him Bela wants them dead, Eman doesn’t believe Bela is murderer…he thinks Bela just wanted to make her nervous. When Eman assures her that Bela will not kill her, Cris tells him that he’d better protect her.

Glo goes into the bedroom and starts searching. After she takes down a picture that is hanging, JP asks if she found anything. She shows him the frame and tells him she found the first dollar his father earned. Glo doesn’t think JP understands her…she needs to find evidence that Eman is not the person Emi thinks he is. JP tells her she won’t find anything there. Once outside, Andrea asks if Glo found anything, so JP tells her that what Glo is looking for isn’t there. JP then remembers that in Andrea’s letter, she thanked both him and Bela for saving her. He questions why she would thank Bela. He knows how he helped to save her, now he wants to know what Bela did. He asks Andrea if she knew Interpol was on the way to Ant’s house, but Andrea doesn’t want to talk about Ant. After he asks Andrea what it is that she knows, JP realizes that Andrea knew that Bela had freed the tiger…and gets upset because she and Bela lied to him. It's for your own good, Rover; now do your business.

As they drive along, Cris asks Jorge if they are going to move; Jorge confirms. Cris wants to go see his new place. Jorge tells her it’s in a dangerous area, but Cris doesn’t care; she just doesn’t want to go home.

Andrea assures JP that Bela only helped her. If Bela hadn’t arrived Ant would have raped her. When JP tells her that Bela didn’t tell him that, she responds that those are things that women only discuss with each other. Andrea assures JP that Ant died because the tiger killed him, but JP wants to see if that is what the forensic report indicates. Andrea wonders if Jp thinks that his girlfriend is a murderer, but JP just walks away.

Eman goes to see Bela. While Bela puts on her innocent little girl act, Eman knows that she didn’t come back to open up a gym. Eman surmises that JP gave her the idea that those people killed her father and she wants to seek revenge.…she wants justice, and that‘s why she came back. When Bela pretends to not know what people he is referring to, Eman tells her he is talking about the associates…those that she has been killing one after the other.

Pene lays beside Mike and tells him that her relationship with Simon has ended. Mike thinks that now that he is in the hospital, she and Bela are using him as a hankie for their tears. Pene asks if he likes her. She adds that they know perfectly well that they have been through so many things…when he was drunk and not. She asks again and Mike tells her that she is his best friend and the prettiest woman he has ever seen. He likes her… they kiss…OUCH! Do it again…OUCH! Pen, he can't get away, it may be now or never.

Jorge and Cris arrive at a place that she is suggesting for his family, but Jorge tells her they can’t afford it. Cris tells him that she is offering this to him and his family. After she grabs him and pulls him inside, she tells him she is very stressed and starts flirting with him. As she puts his hands on her, she asks if he is willing to accept a little bit of this.

 

Episode 50, Part 4: La Bella Under Fire

Glo picks up a glass as Emi comes in and Emi asks if she is drinking; so Glo reminds her that she isn’t going to drink anymore. Emi asks her to stop looking for the evidence because she knows she is doing it to separate her from Eman. Glo repeats that her father and Eman were not just acquaintances. All she wants is to find at least one piece of evidence about what she is saying. What Emi wants is that Glo accept that she wants to be with Eman for the rest of her life. Glo will try. Accept that she wants, not that she will?

Cris tells Jorge that she is not asking him to kill anyone. Jorge asks about Carlos, but Cris tells him that Carlos is on his deathbed. Jorge then reminds her that he is married, but Cris tells him that no one needs to find out. She wants to feel what his wife feels when he makes love to her. You're not kidding are you horny girl? Don't you have other things to do?

Bela tells Eman that she is tired and that the things that he is saying are not true. Bela asks if he has any proof…when he does, he can come for her. When Eman insists that what she is doing is against the law, Bela reminds him that he is the director of Interpol and her bf is a fed…and all those people have not been arrested. Just then, JP arrives and tell her that he has come to arrest her for the murder of Antonio Ramos. Oh Noes. Too bad he didn't bring Andrea along to HELP.

 

Rgv Chick, the smooth ebb and flow of your words are incredible. Another exciting, well written recap.

I love to laugh and sometimes it's the off the cuff comments that I enjoy the most: "JPee" and "Ask Me ask Me!" are among many here. "Bela relishes in the fact that the beasts won’t be sleeping at night. Wake up" - huge sigh and vigorous nod in agreement.

“After Bela leaves. JP apologizes for Bela’s attitude”. I had to smile as I am very sure that despite her wounded puppy dog look, Andevil was doing cartwheels (internally) sensing the obvious trouble in paradise.

“Simon tells her this is not working and Pene tells him that what he needs is an inflatable doll”. Tell him girl. Simon walking in taking his shirt off (oh and btw, please don’t do that) was just about the most unromantic move I’ve ever seen. Begone.

By telling Eman that her mother believes there was more to his and her father’s relationship that meets the eye has likely delivered her mother’s death warrant. A little girl who has no business being in shark infested waters when she can barely swim.

"Mike suggests that she look deep in her heart and ask herself if she wants to continue fighting for a relationship that may not work". Yes, who would have thought such pearls of wisdom would come from our silent, inactive warrior? "Mike tells her that she is his best friend and the prettiest woman he has ever seen. He likes her…" Far and away, my most favorite scene of the night.

Cris confuses me. She was wearing big ole bangles the size of hoops in her ears. Did she not realize they should adorn wrists rather than earlobes?? You would think a jeweler of her stature would know the difference :)

I don't think Carlos is quite on his deathbed Cris. I suspect he has enough energy to change his will and hopefully, leave you peniless. That is, if you survive.

Whatever the true bond is between Eman and Bella, it must be unbreakable. He is thisclose to being discoved, yet he doesn't seem inclined to get rid of her. Unlike the poor girl who was about to give birth to his child.

So now JP is going to arrest Bella? The lies and treachery that Bella has bestowed on JP are cringeworthy. If only she would stay in jail.

Rgv Chick, I'm also hoping your hen has found a nice quiet place - I don't want to think of the alternative.

Yes, the episode . . . Trying to see the situation from a victim’s point of view, truth be told Bela has been doing their law enforcement jobs since the wheels of justice have not been moved at all by the feds or the city. Reality. Since I want to continue to see Bela loose on her revenge tour, I will have a reason to watch tonight.

So now, Mike is becoming more useful. He also gives advice to the love lorn and is a handy pillow ( as in for Penélope’s head.)

In Bela's defense, if you will call this that, she is badly damaged. Unfortunately she was so badly damaged five years ago that rather than heal all this time she is worse, almost unsalvageable, now. As though a wound which could have healed was allowed to become infected and abscessed to the point where amputation may now be the only option.

Poor Simon. Was he just a practice BF while Pene warmed Mike up for the real deal? Luuurved her in the hospital bed with Mike. By the time he could get all the plumbing unhooked and escape, it might be a done deed.

Incidentally, I thought that bloody mark on Pene's chin moved from the left side to the right side during the show. Maybe there is one on both sides.

JP is going to arrest Bela? "Stop Dragging My Heart Around" Or even the later version with Tom Petty is good too. Careful, it is a dangerous earworm.

Yup. You were right. So the Law Enforcement system which is run by the criminals, almost, and which did nothing about her Father's murder is going to lock her up.

Like I have always said, the law enforcement goes after the easy pickings. Why take a chance on getting your ass shot stopping a crime, when you can arrest some tax paying homeowner with plenty of money without even getting your hands dirty?

I wonder if Andrea is whispering in his ear? She is the one who let it slip that Bela let the tiger loose, but I think it is a stretch to call that murder.
 

People deal with adversity so differently, don't they?

JP was raised and abused by a monster and a non-functioning alcohlic. Yet, he survived and although damaged psychologically, he grieved internally and refused to let his past cloud his future. He chose a path that his upbringing should have deterred him from. He did not lose his kindness.

Bella was reared lovingly, secure in both of her parent's love. She was taught strength, compassion and a clear vision of right vs. wrong. Her devastation at the murders was heartbreaking and understandable. And yet, she ultimately chose vengence over justice. I might have been able to better understand her thirst to get even if she first tried to let the authorities do their jobs. The wheels of justice do turn slowly and likely nothing would have been done in terms of capturing and incarcerating the beasts. If at that point she had turned, I might be a bit more understanding. But it has been pointed out here that she went against everything her father stood for, against every moral value she had been taught.

I don't think Bella can be redeemed simply for the fact she has absolutely no remorse for anything she has done. It's not my place to judge. But I don't believe for a moment that Bella and JP could ever be happy together. Blood on the hands of this nature doesn't simply wash off.

Kirby, ITA that there are some things some people cannot be healed from even if the try. For me, that is the case with Bela.

ITA with you about JP and Bela. The only way it could have worked with them is if he has been an active participant in her revenge. If they end up together it is going to be bizarre at best.




 

The thing about Bela is she is like Pickle a week ago. You will not heal or change unless you want to. Bela is the last person who would admit she needs help.
 

You said it, Kirby, but In the context of the novela, it is not a bad thing. I would love to see Bela more unleashed and for the novela to have a more comic book/cartoonish tone and freedom to it. I loved La reina del sur because the protagonist Teresa totally embraces her revenge and goes for it full throttle, no holds barred, no apologies, no moral dilemmas. Very entertaining.
 

Good Morning, Everyone, and thank you. My what insight has been brought forth today. You all never cease to amaze me with such profound interpretations of the characters, especially Bela in this case. I need not say more because you all have already stated it so eloquently.

Diana, yes, I visualized Andrea doing cartwheels too. I still don't like her.

Kirby and Diana, Pene and Mike together was my favorite scene too! He finally gives in! I just hope they both LIVE happily ever after.

Jarifa, ITA that Bella needs to be more unleashed. She started off so much better and seems to have morphed into a user as JP so boldly told her. So she wants to help JP with the other beasts. Is her new tactic to let JP get all the evidence he needs and then go in and "look them in the eyes and talk to them" as she did with Antonio?

OT-Diana, GUESS WHAT!? I found my hen! I went to turn on the sprinklers at the rental I have next door where a friend has an old Chevy truck parked (with no motor). As I walked past it, I heard a rattling sound and it made me think of a hen turning her eggs. So I lifted the hood, and lo and behold, there she was! ....in the far front right corner (between the hood and the frame). She is now safely nesting inside the coop where she usually sleeps. Happy ending, YAY!
 

Jarifa, if this had been in the slightest bit lighter or in tone, of if things were done tongue in cheek, I think I would have enjoyed a "full throttle", no holds barred, no apologies, no moral dilemmas" approach (very well said).

I believe JP mentoned to Bella that if she broke the law, he would arrest her..but U wonder if he arrested her to protect her..Someone asked earlier who was our favorite.. Dear Chickie, thank you so much. My favorite scene was Mike and Pen e in bed....okay ,but was a hospital bed , and Mike and beaten and battered.....but still better than Simon and Pene in bed.

oT.Chickie..so glad that you found your missing hen. When I saw your ",guess what" , I thought of hub saying the same thing yesterday morning,followed by "there was a phone message from college giving you classes." So now, I have to decide what to do because my classes were canceled the last two semesters ,and I thought I was retired.

So....does Bela actually know what is the real deal, and has painted a bullseye on herself to pit Emanuel against the other three beasts, or is she just stupid?

Was arresting her (and we assume putting her in jail) solely JP's idea, or is there a bigger plan, like Elsa said, possibly to protect her?

And does it appear that Emi does not want UnPickle snooping around too much for fear of what she KNOWS UnPickle could find?

My interest and concern is now with Gloria Pickle. There have been suggestions all along that she knows things about Eman, but is in too much of a stupor to remember. Did she not say at one point that Eman had been fat? Or am I misremembering?

That strikes me as very strange. Regardless, if she has some information on Eman she is at risk.

Kirby: I have to think Univision might push for Season 2 to keep the story going (see "La Piloto" now in Season 2).

Diana: Bella became this way because the Beasts (including her so-called "godfather" Emanuel) conspired to have both of her parents including her best friend, Maria whacked (we haven't seen Maria's parents in awhile).

Andy: Mommy Quintero is going to do something STUPID & might not be long for this world.

Niecie: Bella better get Johnnie Cochran to bail her out of prison.

RVG Chick: Marine Mike & Penelope need to step up their game because they're going to have to find a way to get Bella out.


 

Elsa, you just may be right. JP has always warned Bella that if he catches her he will arrest her, but I do think it is to protect her and keep her from getting deeper into trouble. Bela was quite careful and covered herself well with Castor and Horacio, but she started getting careless even with Madame BBB...and JP knows it.

Kirby, I don't think Bela is stupid, but like I've stated before, ever since her tub encounter with JP, some of her brain cells seem to have been washed out.

Susy, everything happens for a reason...maybe someone upstairs thought you needed a break....now He needs you back touching more lives :-)

I was so annoyed with myself that I forgot all about the picture that until this evening. I did think something was hidden so I was wrong about that but at least there was something to my thought :) A rare occurence for me!

JP tells Bela that she was there with Ant. Bela tells him she went to look for him (JP) because she was told that he was there. When he tells her to hold out her hands since he is doing his job, she tells him he is doing a bad job, Eman looks on silently the whole while. Bel is frigging incredulous. Bela asks if he is going to force her; JP says no but he can get an order. Bela tells him to get the order. JP tells her she can't just do whatever she wants and not face any consequences. He asks her to cooperate. When she asks if he is really going to do this, he repeats it's his job. Bela gets arrested. As they leave, Eman tells Bela that JP is only doing his job. Bela asks JP who told him and guesses it has to be Andrea.

Pickle found something with Eman and Armando names or initials in the corners of the dollar.. Emi comes in and asks if she wants supper, but Glo tells her later. When Emi leaves, she sees Andrea who is urgently looking for JP. Emi tells her he isn't here.

Jorge gets home to an unhoppy Lucy. Jorge tells Lucy that he loves her. He wants to change jobs. Lucy thinks he is having problems with Cris, but he denies it. Jorge thinks they should have different bosses in case one of them gets fired.

Hospital Luuuurve: Pene finally gets a real kiss on Mike. Mike thinks Pene kissed him to get back at Simon. Pene tells him she simply wanted to kiss him. He continues to argue, but she kisses him and tells him to be quiet.

JP sure enough takes her downtown and puts her in the pokey, as she flashbacks to one of their previous conversations from a happier time. JP removes the handcuffs and locks the door. Bela tells him not to do this to her. JP says he is doing it to protect her even if it's in a bad way. Bela tells him she followed through with her promise. JP tells her there are too many promises and asks her what she has with Andrea. JP accuses her of freeing the tiger. Bela tells him she didn’t kill Ant, but JP tells her that there is no difference between freeing the tiger and killing him herself. Bela tells him he just made the worst mistake. cocky, arrogant, little, brat, did I leave out anything?

Eman sits outside in his car and watches Pene get home.

Cris seems to think she is now miraculously married to Jorge it seems. He should not have done such a good 'job' the first time. Some men just don't know. Cris asks Jorge if he was already going to sleep. She wants to help him with his clothes but he tells her he can do it himself. She tries to convince him to take the apartment, but he refuses. When Cris asks if he wouldn’t like to take her to bed, he tells her that going to bed with her would be spectacular…so she asks if he is accepting her offer.

Cris and Eman on the phone as he is still outside Bela's former house. Back home, Carlos calls for Cris since her phone is ringing. Eman calls and asks to use her men…the ones she used to attack Bela. Cris worries that Bela will use the video, but Eman insists that Bela won’t. He has another idea…Eman wants to link Bela to one of the murders. Riiiiiighttttt.....

Andrea finds JP at work later that night and tells him she is worried…how could he put Bela in jail. Andrea insists that Bela helped her at a critical time.
 

So Bela has some alone time to think. AND CRY?

Pene at home and calls Bela and tells her to get back to her when she hears the message. Pene then calls JP and tells him she has been trying to call Bela. She hears something and hangs up Then the goons sneak up and chloroform her and it knocks her out. They then start looking for the video and any other evidence, but do not discover the batcave. Next they go to the Comeback. And DO NOT find the video.

Cris removes her panties and places them on the sheets for Jorge's bed. Meanwhile, Carlos locked his bedroom door and locked Cris out. Cris goes up and calls for Carlos since the door is locked. She starts yelling then goes back downstairs and sleeps elsewhere.

Pene wakes up from the chloroform and calls for Bela. She doesn't find her so she runs through the house looking for her. She can see the place is ransacked so she heads downstairs. She goes to the bat cave and looks at the surveillance videos of the goons running amok.. Thank you Bat Cave.

Cris goes to see Eman next morning. She asks if the men found anything against Bela. Eman doesn't know; he needs to look through everything. They didn't find the video or computers. Cris wants to know how it was that they arrested Bela; so Eman tells her that her bf JP arrested her for suspicion of murder of Antonio.

Andrea and JP talk to Ric who didn’t know LP had broken up with Bela. JP tells him this is work. Ric doesn't like him but he is his best agent. Oh? Cal HR, get an ad out there.

After Pene watches the videos, she starts hurriedly changing clothes and calls JP.

Pickle goes to Eman's office but he is not there so she talks to his secretary. She says she will wait until she can see him.

JP, Andrea, and Simon at work when Pene calls. Simon tells Andrea to shut up…Bela is in jail because of what she told JP. Simon still has doubts about her and thinks she did it because she wants to be close to JP. Pene tells JP something, probably about the ransacking, and he asks "What?"

Simon is investigating the crime at Bela and gang's house. So it quickly degenerates to who is doing who and who is whose Novia/o. Simon asks why she didn't call him...instead, she called JP. He asks her a whole bunch of questions then tells her she should have called him since he is her bf. Pene asks “BF???"

Eman visits Bela in jail. At least JP didn't throw her in there with the standard TN Jail Hookers. Eman wants the truth. She tells him she didn’t kill Colombiano. but Eman tells her this has to stop. Bela tells him this will stop when justice is done. Eman tells her they are waiting for the report on Colombiano's death. Once they get it she may go out as quickly as she was brought in.
 

Part 3

Cris in the car as Jorge drives. Cris asks Jorge if he found what she left for him between the sheets. Jorge tells her no. She then tells him to take her to the apartment…she doesn't want to go home.

Pene with Carlos and Carlos tells Pene that he is not going to be made a fool of. Pene asks if he has thought about leaving Cris. He tells her he has and knows he would lead a more tranquil life. Pene asks why he hasn't done it since being happy should be his priority.

Andrea goes to see Bela who asks why she told JP everything. Andrea tells her that JP pressured her...she doesn't want to see Bela in jail. Better close your peepers then Hon. Bela tells her that her little game is very obvious and tells her to leave. Pffffttt, MEOW claws fully extended. Andrea swishes away with her tail held high.

Cris and Jorge at the Luuurve nest. The poor ManHo has resigned himself to do what he has to do to keep his job. Jorge asks where he should place something and Cris tells him on the bed. She then asks that he help her with her shoes. And now that they are at it, she asks him to unzip her and asks if he likes her body. She tells him to think of her as being Lucy and to make love to her.

Andrea, Simon, JP at work and kick around the idea of Andrea going to meet La Joyera and to ask her for some favor. Simon says that the worst thing that could happen is that Cris will recognize her, kill her and that way they would kill two birds with one stone.

Pickle gets her audience with Eman. Pickle tells him that she knows that he and her husband were associates in business. He tells her that drinking does things to people, but she tells him she is off the booze, Eman then tells her that he really does love Emi, though she may not believe it. She tells him they, at least, agree on one thing…that she doesn't believe him. She wants him to tell her to her face that he wasn't friends or associates with her husband. When he denies being friends or associates with her husband, he asks her if she is satisfied and she says, "Very!" And she leaves. She was recording that conversation on her phone.

Cris and Jorge at it and she tells him to tell her he loves her, so ManHo does. LATER...Jorge starts getting dressed. He tells Cris he loves his wife and the problem is that he liked what he just got too. She tells him he can get it whenever he wants.

JP talks to Ric about Bela going after the beasts. Ric has no choice but to trust JP's intuition. They get the forensic report.

Emi and Eman on the phones from both their works. Eman tells Emi that her mom waited 3 hours for him. Emi asks if he is sure he had nothing to do with her father. Eman denies dealing with her father other than knowing him at the club. Eman tells her he called her because he is always honest with her and he wanted to let her know. Emi tells him that once her Mom gets something her head, it’s hard to get it out.

Andrea calls Cris from JP's office and tells her she is a fugitive. Cris doesn't want to talk to her (she is still in bed) but Andrea pleads that she listen to her. She has information that could help her.

JP goes to Bela's cell and unlocks the door to let her out. He tells her that she won...she can leave. Bela assumes he saw the forensic report. JP hopes she understands why he did this. He tells her that everything they say to each other is based on lies. Bela tells him that their life together has ended. JP agrees since lies and betrayals end up destroying relationships. That little Pussy Cat is NOT in heat anymore.
 

As soon as I read "The capture and arrest of El Chapo...No..Wait, Bela Leon" immediately followed by "Bela, what kind of bird can't fly? A JailBird, Har har har" I chuckled and knew this was going to be great. And so it was...

"...she doesn't want to see Bela in jail. Better close your peepers then Hon" and "MEOW claws fully extended. Andrea swishes away with her tail held high" were among my favorites.

"Pene tells him she simply wanted to kiss him. He continues to argue, but she kisses him and tells him to be quiet". Once again Pene and Mike were so sweet. Even though Mike tried to backpedal as fast as he could, I cheered Pene for kissing him to keep him quiet. Conversely, Simon even suggesting that Pene was his novia was ridiculous. He treated her like a convenience and their relationship seemed robotic without a trace of emotion. Good riddance. I was thinking perhaps he might hook up with Andevil. He clearly doesn't like her which seems to be all too pervasive with most of the couples. Even Bella finally seems to have turned cold stone.

Bella was in jail what - one night? Two? She wasn't exactly languishing there. She seemed indignant to be there. Continual denial. After all, she is above it. That said, I can't quite decide if Andevil is intentionally doing everything within her powr to separate Bella and JP or if is just a happy coincidence.

Gloria may be thinking lucidly, free of alcohol poisoning, but her common sense seems to still be missing. Why on earth would she confront Em, let alone record his denial of associating with her hub? Not the way to endear herself to her future SIL. So, will Eman kill Emi's one remaining parent??

I was really afraid for Pene when the house was ransacked. Very relieved they didn't find the bat cave.

Cris and Jorge. Yawn.

I realize JP and Bella are end game but I can't help but wish there was a nice girl next door that he might live relatively happily ever after with. One who does not have terrible secrets, lies and actions in her past.

Some quick thoughts...

The patio comes through again...both JP and Bela agree that their relationship is doomed.

Simon still thinks of himself as Pene’s BF? He must not have found an inflatable doll to his liking!

Chris and Jorge...very, very baaaad!

Eman is going to try to find sometiing to make sure Bela goes to jail? Does he think that by sending her to jail, Bela won’t do anything against the beasts?

Kirby, awesome review and loved your strong emphasis.

JP is becoming just as much of an idiot as Bella - he has his main enemy (Eman) right in front of him when he confronts Bella about arresting her, yet he goes after his own girlfriend instead. Even after knowing that Eman now wants to marry his sister and giving her more ownership of the casino/club, yet somehow he has not investigating that.

Then he didn’t even think about what would happen if he left Bella in jail while her friends are in danger by themselves, and he offers Andrea protection but doesn’t offer any to Penelope or Mike....scary.

Eman is ruthless: I actually thought he would defend his god daughter and be more caring about her going to jail or being in danger with Cristina. But JP gave him a free solution and Eman ran with it....

JP needs to get his act together and if he’s going to drop Bella he better do the same with Andrea next and get back on his A game and focus on the beasts, because at this point it amazes me that his mother is doing a better job of investigating than he is right now. And he knows his sister’s situation too!
 

Another note: Last nights episode made me get my love, sympathy, and support back for Bella. I felt her pain and struggle; she was humiliated. It was hard to watch and you could feel for the girl...maybe a simple time out is what she needed to get back on the right track, and get us all to wanna see her kick ass again!

I hope she wrecks Cristina so badly and tears up their assholes! Just wait till she finds out they broke into her house and the gym, and put Pene to sleep. That video is gonna go public now!!!!! Popcorn time!
 

Also, I love Simon’s boldness and honesty. It’s pretty funny too. He has some balls to talk to Andrea the way he does advin front of JP, he sure doesn’t hide his feelings or what he’s thinking. Even to Penelope he will be brutally honest even if it hurts. He’s the only one with a brain sometimes.

Me thinks Andrea is a goner. Eman overheard JP telling Bella that she helped save her from Ant and let loose the tiger; which therefore means Eman knows that Andrea is working with JP. Now if she’s going to talk to Cris and meet her, Eman will find out and her plans with JP are ruined as the beasts will put an end to her.

I don't see how Bella and JP can be end game, since he doesn't trust her and she will continue to do her own thing. But in their "divorce," I'm siding with Bella. She's put drug dealers and human traffickers out of business and protects backstabbers like Andrea from rape. And ITA, JP doesn't even let Pene know Bella's been locked up? I actually like Simon better in this episode. He's not a good boyfriend, but he reads between the lines and doesn't see things as either black or white like JP. Just once, I'd like to see JP admit to Bella that she has made more progress against evildoers than he has.

Hope Gloria lives long enough to sock it to Eman and have Emi begging her for forgiveness. Now that she's got her head straight and on a sober mission to take down Eman, should we stop calling her Pickle?

Pene's been chloroformed three times now. By now you'd think she's smell it coming before they grab her.

I find it an interesting idea of Eman to get some evidence on Bela and this way try to stop her. Eman is trying to get to a state of mutually assured destruction. Worth a try.

Penny's undercover work has not accomplished much, only seems to encourage Carlos to get a divorce. Bela revealing herself to Chris only got Mike into the hospital and their house searched. Little progress. Maybe Andrea will get things moving. She actually has skills for this. We have seen how she got information out of Emi. Also the way she uncovered Isabela and JP threat for Ant.

Will anybody listen to Pickle when she reveals Armando-Eman connection? I doubt Emi will, but maybe JP.

Yes, I am trying to figure out how poetic justice will be served on Chris. It was pretty obvious what Ant's fate would be with that tiger pacing through almost every episode. Let's see...what do we know about Chris? She does not like the old guy She is married to. She sexually harasses the chauffeur . She is into caves and voodoo. She likes jewelry. So...how will those facts tie into her fate? A poisoned brooch perhaps?. Infection from a voodoo needle?

Good morning, Patio! Enjoying all the insights. Someone asked who's our favorite. Mine is Pene. She's not perfect, but I relate to her the most AND she has great chemistry with Mike.

Thinking about Bella whining to Mike that JP trusts Andrea but not her. JP didn't witness how stony and arrogant Andrea was when Simon and Ric were interrogating her about the narcotics smuggled in bras. Andrea is an excellent liar when she needs to be. I get why JP tired of Bella's lies, but he shouldn't fool himself about Andrea.

Susanlynn, what would be poetic justice for Chris? I predict her voodoo black magic backfires on her and, in her mind, she switches places with her aging, ailing husband and goes stark raving mad.
 

I was thinking Cris might get her dolls mixed up, seeing how she has a lot on her plate right now, with Hubby, Maid, MAID'S HUSBAND, Bela, Eman, cops, you know, distractions. Anyway get them mixed up and do something to a doll of herself somehow.

Favorite character? uhmmm. at first it was Bela until she turned into BimBella. Though his role isn't quite defined or what I expected, I would have to say Mike...with Pene a close second. The rest of the characters are either annoying, childish, stubborn, in la-la land or just plain bad/evil.

Diana, Niecie and Kirby, I'm having trouble remembering why Simon is a good cop. I think he could be a good cop if he wasn't always left out or behind. JP has the drive, but not necessarily the brains. The only thing I like about Simon is that hasn't been fooled by Bela or Andrea...he has good intuition...though it really failed him in regards to Pene...I still can't get over him telling her he is her boyfriend...

Turning Jorge's experience into a joke just reinforces the incorrect assumption that all men are up for sex anytime anywhere with anyone and therefore can't be raped. It does men a disservice to laugh it off. Did Cristina rape Jorge? The imbalance of power in the relationship makes it at least questionable. Like he told Luci, if they're both working for the same boss, one of them getting fired means both of them getting fired.

Elsa it was initially believed that Bela let the tiger out, and thus it killed Antonio. But forensics actually showed that the tiger had a key and only Antonio's fingerprints were on it. In other words, no clue.

You know, I asked myself that same question, but just thought I had missed something and was hesitant to point out an oversight I committed to the whole patio. So it turns out that it makes absolutely NO sense, in that Bela didn't shoot Antonio with the Tiger's gun or in spite of how he looked, Antonio actually died choking on a panty.
 

Could it be that the forensics report showed that Ant’s death was a result of being bitten/clawed to death versus a broken neck, smashed head or other means not related to the tiger?
 

The only thing they said about the forensics report was that the second one was identical to the first one. So there was no proof to begin with and there's still no proof.
 

My take is we all just caught the writers in a classic TN mistake. Like they pitch 'Forensics' out and run with it to get Bela out of jail without even thinking it through. And for what they must be paying Esmeralda, thaey want something more than an occasional shot of he boohooing through the jail bars.

Susanlynn, there are some very complex relationships going on here. I need a scorecard to try and keep up.

I honestly think the only couple I can root for is Pene and Mike. Mike, who makes me melt every time I look at him, brings strong and silent to a whole nother level. While they are strong together, they are both vulnerable and need each other. Mike just needs to lose his stubbonrness. And the writers for theirs for keeping this hot plate on the back burner. :) Niecie, Pene is my favorite character by far as well.

My take on Simon is that he has reason to be disgruntled with JP. JP went undercover without confiding in him, and Simon thinking JP was fired risked his own career colluding with JP even though his boss Ric told him not to. JP was his bro and he wasn't going to abandon him. I get that JP and Ric thought it best not to tell Simon in order to make JP's firing look real, but still Simon has feelings...

I don't doubt that Simon finds Andrea attractive, because, well, she is attractive, but he's seen her ruthless, lying side, and rightfully doesn't trust her. I'm with Simon. I'm not buying that she innocently accidentally let slip that Bella might've loosed the tiger. Kirby, love "forensics actually showed that the tiger had a key..." lol
 

Good Morning Patio Peeps....thanks to all that gave an answer to my confusion regarding the forensics...I can’t imagine how Bella does not feel guilty about what she’s done and will continue until all the Beasts no longer exist..I guess in her mind it’s not revenge but Justice ...kinda of reminds me of Charles Bronson and his movie “Death Wish”... I will eagerly be waiting for tonight’s episode of this Mexican

I think I agree with almost everyone that Andrea is vewwwy vewwy good at working the situation. She probably started learning how, back when Antonio 'Rescued' her and has been perfecting her skills ever since. She had a very good (evil) thing going as long as she could put Antonio off and not join the herd.

When things started to change, she began working the ends against the middle. Now that they have changed again, so has Andrea, along with her story

I hope JP does not fall for this most recent act, as we remember "her ruthless, lying side".
 

And another thing I have been thinking: It is a pity that Bela's only proceeds from all this looks to be her revenge on the beasts. I remember they knocked over the armored car, but that was just walking around money to fund subsequent activities for those three.

WHAT IF: As most if not all of have speculated, Bela is Eman's real Bio daughter. And in the course of events she eliminates the beasts one by one, including Eman, having found out late in the game that he was the ring leader.

But as fate would have it, even an evil beast like Eman hears the call of the blood, and unknown to anyone, much less Bela, he has left everything to her, of course, including the wealth from the other beasts which has rippled down to the last beast. (him)

I don't like her yet...I can't hate her. She is a survivor in every sense of the word. Ant did rescue her (in a way), but she was smart enough to know nothing is for free and she would have to pay a price - which she managed to avoid. I think she wants freedom. And JP. And will likely stop at nothing to attain either.

Several have said they don't think she will survive. And I am starting to think she won't either.

Diana and kirby, I think that Andrea is a survivor who may not survive this show if the two leads are meant to end up together as they usually do. I think the ponytail was supposed to be a sign that she has changed her evil ways by sporting a new look, but....I am not sure. I do think that she wants JP (Junior Partner).

Yes, revenge is the theme of so many telenovelas. An eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth ...very biblical. In the meantime, you lose another eye, another tooth, and maybe an ear.Bella has become hardened and ruthless and lost her honey.

Why don't they mix up that traditional telenovela formula ? Bella ends up with Jorge. Pene and JP (Just Please) ride off into the sunset.Mike and Ponytail become a pair. Just for a change...mix things up.

Diana, I am right there with you about those good old historical telenovelas like Pasion. Lafont was a smarmy villain we all loved to hate. He really hated gorgeous , swashbuckling Captain Rick (our Fernando!) #gopirates. We also got William Levy in a really awful wig, Sebastian Rulli, and Marcelo Cordoba. Wow!! Those were the days !!
