TELEMUNDO WEEKEND EDITION (continuación)

Here's Page 2 for the week.  The current evening telenovelas are as follows (all times are Eastern Daylight Time):

• 9-10PM—Sin senos sí hay paraíso 3
• 10-11PM—El señor de los cielos 6

Heads Up: A new telenovela, Falsa identidad, is scheduled to begin sometime in September. It will replace Sin senos sí hay paraíso 3, which is currently in its etapa culminante. Among the stars in Falsa Identidad will be Luis Ernesto Franco, whom many of us loved as Rodrigo in Bajo el mismo cielo, and Uriel del Toro, who played Andrés in Al otro lado del muro. Wow!!  An English synopsis and more information about the cast can be found here .

Everyone is welcome to join in the conversation.  Since discussions of all the Telemundo novelas share the same page, please remember to put the name of the telenovela you're referring to at the top of your post, so readers can easily find the conversations they're looking for.

By common agreement, this group DOES NOT discuss previews, trailers, or any other plot information not found in a current or past episode of the current production. Spoilers WILL be removed by the admin. This includes reference to earlier productions of the story, and even the original novel. Thanks for your cooperation!

Juanita, here is a video I posted earlier from season 1, you can see the barrio and Diabla's mothers house.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9-tvJEZj3Qg

it starts with Hernan being blessed by his mother, shows how his and CataM's life changed, him being trained as a sicario, her in prison.

1:30 is a shot of him and Cata outside Hilda's house, the yellow house behind him is Diabla's mothers place.

1:57 is Hilda's place after Diabla had it destroyed while they were in prison, then Cata runs to Diabla's mothers place.

2:25 love this scene where Cata stops Dani, when she gets out Cata's 2 BFF Adriana and Vale step up behind her for backup.

2:32 Cata runs from Hilda's place (crossing the yellow line forever), to Diabla's mothers to help Hernan who is being beaten, and then Hilda following, then Albeiro, her grabbing Yessica by the hair, this is the point where everything turned and they were all taken to prison.

sin-senos3 #48

it's late at night.

Laura is sticking pins in a Paola doll (ouch) as Paolo cruises Vane's house with a big knife (I can see her and Martin on a date)

Hilda and Albeiro are awaken by Carlos' barking, Hilda goes to calm him, tossing this and that at him, and finally things from a box of memories, like family pics.

Albeiro, alone in their bedroom, calls Jota as Paola is about to sink the knife into Vane, but has to duck under the bed.

CG and CM comfort each other till Santi shows up and needs some too, his other family has disappeared.

Mari's 2 bad guys have the baby and are heading for the exit as Mari waits in the car wondering what is taking so long.

Hilda walks Carlos down memory lane with pics of the kids till they are both crying, she flinches when he touches her, but it's only to wipe away a tear.

CG spills, it was Mari that ordered the bomb, Santi is dumbfounded, CM wants to kill her, they talk about using the baby for bait to get Mari.

too late, but a guard has stopped the bad guys, it's guns out and everyone on the ground, they make it to the car, Mari is happy to have the baby, but no one seems in a hurry to leave.

CG and Santi realize the baby is gone, CM too, Santi thinks Mari is loca (duh) he wants to call her. (and where's Tony)

Hilda returns, Albeiro sees she has been crying, she says it breaks her heart to see Carlos like that, are they making a mistake bringing him home, Hilda will make some tea, Albeiro wonders why he can't stop thinking of her (CG) (and now we can't either after seeing his thoughts)

Mari brings the baby back to Titi, his narco hardness cracks as he holds the baby.

CG apologizes for calling the Colonel so late, yep, he's on the way, Santi wants to know who's helping Mari (where's he been) CM mentions Dayana, nope, CG says it's Titi.

Hilda tells Albeiro she loves him, in spite of all they have been through, asks if when he holds her is it the same as with them, who? Albeiro asks.

Titi tells cata p, we will never be apart.

Jota and Vane get up leaving the baby in bed, Paola comes alive from under the bed, and is hovering the knife over the baby while Jota and Vane decide to check on her room downstairs.

(and where's Calvo, home in bed?)

sin-senos3

Geat recap, deb. Many thanks! Loved your "(I can see her and Martin on a date)." Perhaps with his and her knives.

I was hoping that the two thugs wouldn't succeed in taking Mariana's baby. I was glad you mentioned that they didn't seem to be in a hurry once they got to the car. I was puzzled by the delay and again hoped it would do them in. Sigh.

I think Hilda had better find another man. After watching Albeiro's very sexy memory of CataG, I don't see much chance of his staying with Hilda at the end (or whatever passes for an end). Hmmm...if Carlos had a shave, a haircut, and some home-cooked meals....

So where was Jota's 6th sense when he needed it most?

Also, thanks for the video, and your annotations. Without them, I'd have been totally lost.

JUST GIVE ME A MINUTE...

BAY TROPE NIGHT....
ALBIERO REMIND HILDA..albeiltio[ honey baby... is MOST LIKELY MINE..I WANT TO GO GET MY BABY!!

this reminds hilda he was plugging Yessica.. and it rubs her the wrong way..'did you dig the way she tucked in the sheet around her BACKSIDE/ behind.. CLOSE FOR THE NIGHT!!!

HILDA ..ASK ABT THAT HUG WITH 'FAST-ASS',Ms. CG, and she needs to!!Hilda has been 'played-a-fool' in her own home before..many times!!!

HILDA THROWING TOYS AT CARLOS???????????????ridiculous...!!

Albiero letting Hilda know,he is NOT SLEEPY.!!!!!!!!!

HILDA ,YOU NEED TO GET YOUR HEAD STRAIGHT and resume your wifey duties....
…. CAUSE DUDE HAD HIS 'ON-SWITCH' LIT!!! with the 'Love' potion.. he is on sexual autopilot.all the time and ....all -the-way-live /dude stays 'LIT'..!!!

GIRL,YOU NEED YO HANDLE THAT MAN...replace the BIG BUTT CG ,image in his brain...
with some Hilda action...

Catamedia challenged Santi abt mariana, and he still could not wrap his head around the fact that he has sociopath as a daughter..but CG fell short of calling that girl a murderer and one which needs to go to JAIL for the safety of the community !!! MS. LAW ENFORCER..

PAOLA ..this is TOO MUCH FOR MY NERVES..!! kill JOTA FIRST.. MAN -UP and sacrifice yourself..for your cute baby.. who is most likely being kidnapped!!!

this show did not do VALENTINA OR XIMENA SERVICE....Hilda's reminding Carlos abt Bayron.. was interesting..because Carlo's abandonment destroyed that family...

CG and Sant.. yeah the baby is gone.??SURPRISED WHY....CATAMEDIA has this facton lockdown!!!. because Mariana the criminal, one whom didn't care who in the hospital was killed during this KIDNAPPING..PORFAVOR!!!!!!!

Titi is very happy... I love him...he is my poppi chulo!!

sin-senos3

Thanks Deb for the recap and the video.

I think Hilda told Carlos that Bayron was killed, so he could understand her sadness, and it worked.

Wasn't it Abigaile who put the spell on Carlos, turning him into a dog? Well, when she died, her spell on Albeiro ended, so wouldn't the spell on Carlos end? Or was it Laura who cast the dog spell? Can't remember.

I think Paola has different eye make-up for her new role as zombie in training.

So CataG has told Santi that Mari is getting help from Titi. I guess the next step is that she gets around to finally telling him Titi is the father.

Yes, if Carlos is cured and cleaned up, maybe Hilda could be with him, and CataG and Albeiro would finally get together (but what about Santi?)

Yes, where IS Calvo?

sin-senos3

thanks all!

Juanita, "his and her knives", priceless!

that was a music video and is out of sequence, that last fight scene at Diabla's mothers place started all the bad stuff seen earlier in the video, but I thought it would answer your question as to where Diabla's mothers house was where Calvo and his mummy are staying, in relation to Hilda's.

going in other direction up the street from Hilda's is where Ximena and Vanessa live.

it sure reminded me of the difference between season 1 and 2,3.

Halimacandy, love reading your spin on the sexual dynamics of a relationship.

Hombre, I think originally Laura did the 2 curses and the spell on Carlos, but with Abigails help.

hmm, I think CataG did tell Santi about Titi being the father, as I think Halimacandy pointed out, left him with the thought that both his wife and daughter had slept with him, of course all of this prepago, narco, barrio stuff is an overload and is going right over his head, I mean if he had his way he would meet with Soraya at a coffee shop and resolve their differences and would scold Mari about bombing people.

"SIN SENOS":

Deb: I'm getting a strong vibe Hilda is about to tell Sex Addict "GOODBYE FELICIA" & move on because it's obvious he's drooling over Yesica & Catalina G.

sin-senos3

Thanks so much, deb. Especially liked "and we can't either after seeing his thoughts." That was one hot scene. Carmen has an amazing trasero.

Yes, I'm pretty sure I remember CataG did tell Santi about Titi being the father and he freaked out at the time.

I noticed that Jota's behavior is marginally better while he's back in his own home. He was actually supportive of Vanessa and almost adult.

Deb, "scold Mari about bombing people". You got his way too nice guy persona perfectly.

sin-senos3 #49

well, no captions tonight so I won't try to recap but only give the highlights.

(I guess they liked that video I posted too).

it's the next morning...

CataG doesn't give up Mari to the good Colonel which upsets CataM.

I guess Paola was just posing with the knife over the baby because everything is fine now, she even cooked eggs for breakfast, which is freaking Jota out, later they go to the big Medical building to identify Ximena, but can't take the baby in, Paola will walk away with her, err watch her.

it's a nice day so Laura is outside doing her voo doo stuff, clenching her little paola doll.

Carlos barks for breakfast, prompting Albeiro to leave, later Hilda grooms him, haircut and shave, seems to help him lose the bark, but Albeiro notices he is wearing one of his shirts.

Titi learns to change diapers, and spends quality time with his daughter, but eventually goes all narco complete with gun drawn and table smashing, explaining how he is the man of the house Mari is the woman, and the duties of each, is Mari even listening, this girl is going to be his downfall.

hmm, earlier Mari was sneaking pics of Titi sleeping with cata p.

Albeiro makes it to the hospital to comfort CataM, the docs have nothing but bad news but Al reminds her it's the guy upstairs that calls the shots.

CataG and Tony swing by the TEA office, Patricia takes Cata only to the new Jefe, Brandon, Tony gets dismissed.

Hilda walks the dog to Margarita's but she is not home and Carlos keeps tugging on her dress sleeve, he's hungry.

they leave and Margarita with the baby, and with Calvo's gun to her head, come out and grab a taxi, hmm last we heard CataG left the baby with the Colonel telling him they didn't know who the parents were.

Daniel has escaped the hospital and has gone all phantom of the opera on us, complete with partial mask and hood, and has decided to take finding Martin a little more serious.

CataM spends time with the unconscious Hernan watching music videos of their past.

sin-senos3

Wow, deb, I'm impressed that you were able to do so well with no captions. Indeed, it's not clear that you really need them.

Loved a number of your remarks, such as "Paola will walk away with her, err watch her," "it's a nice day so Laura is outside doing her voo doo stuff," and my favorite, "Hilda walks the dog to Margarita's."

I was somewhat puzzled at Hilda's constant banging on the door and the window at Margarita's. Why should she expect that Margarita is always at home?

So did Paola walk off with Vanessa's baby? Or is she just playing with us? Someone should tell the writers that the novela has only three more weeks to go. [¡Gracias a dios!]

Mariana seems to be getting something other than what she anticipated. Titi apparently has, um, old-fashioned views about men's and women's roles. He lets Mariana know that she's responsible for cooking and cleaning. Period. I was also interested (and somewhat appalled) to see Titi sleeping with the baby right next to him--and he's lying there with a presumabaly loaded gun in his hand.

I was also pretty appalled at CataM's taking off the mask she's supposed to wear to prevent Hernan from getting germs. And not only did she take it off, she wiped the snot off her nose with her hand and then put her hand in his.

Well, it's looking more like Hilda and Carlos may indeed get back together. Her giving him a much-needed shave and haircut not only made him look like a normal human being, he also began to act more like one. And when Hilda tells him that much has changed in the neighborhood, he tells her that she hasn't changed, she's the same. She looks quite pleased at his saying this. Aw, gee.

sin-senos3:

Great recap and comments, Deb, and great comments Juanita, as well!

By the time this show is over, I think we will have seen all of season one in flashbacks.

Yes, sleeping with the baby and a gun, not too wise. Of course, Jota and Vanessa also sleep with their baby, which clumsy Jota could crush at any moment. Except that now Smiling Paola has that baby. And Calvo has the other baby, to be delivered to Yésica.

I wonder if they'll jump ahead at the end of the show, all the babies will be grown up, and will be the next generation of goodies vs. baddies.

I'd like to see them put all the crazies in one room, Soraya, Martin, Yésica, Carlos, and now Daniel, and see what happens.

When I was in the hospital with a broken ankle there was something hooked up if I got out of bed which would beep, because they didn't want me walking on it. Maybe the hospital in this show should consider this, since so many people just pull out the cables and walk away (Daniel's the latest, but I seem to remember others).

Titi told Mariana that changing diapers and preparing formula was harder than killing someone. Mari said I wouldn't know, I never killed anyone. Titi said oh yeah, whose idea was the bomb?

Now that the TEA has a new chief Brandon, they'll probably be able to solve all the crimes and missing druglords. NOT!

sin-senos3

Deb, you are terrific! Thanks for soldiering along without captions.

Not much time to write as I'm leaving for a trip out of town in 45 minutes. Just a weekend away and I'm looking forward to it.

One thing I got a kick out of was when Albeiro was going to put his hand on Carlo's' shoulder, he snapped at him, just like a dog!

Vanessa is really not too bright. Her low IQ husband can see something is wrong with Paola, but not her. She forces Jota to go inside to look at? identify? Ximena's body and leaves her child with zombie Paola.

I expected Mariana to immediately send her parents the picture of Titi and CataP in bed, just to be mean.

Falco

Since novelera will be out of town this weekend and will be unable to recap Falco, I thought I'd give it a try. As is always the case with my recaps, it will be posted quite late.

Falco

Out of curiosity is anyone else seeing Falco starting 15 minutes late and only running for 45 minutes?

Falco

yep, the west coast showing was the same.

Falco - Capítulo 5 - Parte 1 de 3

Well, as others have already mentioned, this episode started 15 minutes late and ended promptly 45 minutes later. I'm not sure what they may have cut out. I doubt it was the commercials.

Anyway, the episode opens with a young woman walking alone at night. Then we see someone is following close behind her, wearing a wolf mask. She turns, and he lifts some kind of large stick to strike her.

The scene shifts. Mares and Caro are in bed asleep. A phone call wakes Mares, who listens and says "I'll be right there." He tells his wife to go back to sleep.

Falco and his partner Tenoch are at the crime scene. A young woman, Lucia Rojas, 18 years old, seems to have been brutally killed. She has her cellphone, a school ID, and about 1000 pesos still with her. Mares arrives. Falco somewhat snidely remarks that he's late. Mares blames the traffic. Mares does a quick exam of the victim and says that marks on her hands indicate that there was a struggle, and she defended herself against her assailant. The cause of death was a severe head wound that could have occurred at about 4 a.m. Falco puts his arm out to touch her, but Mares stops him, reminding him that he should wear gloves. (Clearly, the rivalry between Mares and Falco persists.) Falco then notices one of her fingers moving. He puts his head on her chest and apparently hears a heartbeat. "She's alive!" he announces. Eva Salomon, Falco's boss and perhaps Mares's as well, chews Mares out for this rather huge error. "It's your job to get these things right," she tells him. "I want your report by midday. In the meantime, I'll try to clean up this disaster." [One point for team Falco.]

Lucia apparently had been to a costume party earlier that night. Tenoch and Falco go to the house where the party occurred and talk to the owner,Camila, a young woman a bit high on alcohol and/or drugs. They ask her about Lucia. She says Lucia has already left. They inform her that Lucia was attacked just a few blocks from the house, and they ask whether she noticed anything unusual about her behavior lately. No, she says, but she hasn't seen much of her lately, because Lucia has been sick with mononucleosis and has missed a month of school. Camila tells them that Lucia came to the party accompanied by a guy with a wolf mask, but no, Camila didn't see his face. Photos reveal just a person in a wolf mask. Tenoch tells her that they are going to want a copy of the video from the security camera at the house's entrance.

Falco then goes to the hospital, where Lucia's mother, Chantal Rojas, is keeping watch by her bedside. Falco asks whether Lucia was having problems at school, or perhaps a jealous novio. The mother denies that there were any problems, and adds that Lucia was doing very well in school. But what about the last month, asks Falco, when she was sick? Lucia's mother says she knows nothing about any illness, and maintains that Lucia attended school every day.

Back at police headquarters, Falco, Tenoch, and some others try to put together what they know. They found a gun in Lucia's room, but the gun had no serial number or other identification. However, Tenoch runs it through an online registry of guns to see whether there's a match with any other gun. Bingo! Two weeks earlier, the gun was apparently involved in the vandalism at the home of Edna and Luis Jordan. Falco and Tenoch go to speak with the Jordans. The Jordans' house is a mess, with all kinds of scrawled lines on the walls. They explain that the police who investigated the vandalism asked them to leave things as they had found them while the investigation was under way. The Jordans' son, Carlos, was apparently a witness to the vandalism. Falco asks him to tell him what happened.

Falco - Cap. 5 2/3

Carlos tells him that he came home from baseball practice to find the vandals in the process of destroying everything. "Did the guy point a gun at you?" asks Falco. "No, it was the girl," replies Carlos. "She was crazy." Falco takes out a photo of Lucia and asks Carlos and his parents whether they know her. "It's her?" asks Edna. "Did they catch her?" Falco explains that she was attacked last night and is in the hospital. "Is she OK?" asks Edna. Falco's look makes her realize that her question must have sounded strange. She rather awkwardly explains that the girl looks so young and pretty, she doesn't look like she could have done something like this. Falco and Viewerville sense that Edna isn't being wholly honest.

Falco goes back to his apartment, takes some pills, and lies down, exhausted. The phone rings. It's Caro. Then there's knocking on Falco's window. Caro has come to see him. She comes closer and they kiss. But then the scene shifts to Falco's being shot. Yup, Falco's dreaming again.

The recurrent dreams of the shooting prompt him to try to find more information on the computer. He sees an article about "Honest police" returning a wallet intact. Julian Reyes' name appears; he may have been the honest cop. But none of this is making sense to Falco, and he can't find the records he's looking for. He calls Tenoch, asking what to do if part of the information is missing from the online file. Tenoch tells him to go to the archives and ask to see the physical file. Falco does so, but the physical file, too, is incomplete. He asks the guy in charge about this. The guy tells him, "If it's not there, it doesn't exist."

The police have identified Hector Hernandez as the person in the wolf mask. They go to find him. He's out on the street with some of his buddies. The police say they're looking for Hector Hernandez. No one comes forward. Eva Salomon says the police just want him to come for his mother at the police station. She's been working as a prostitute again. Eva's tactic works. Hector immediately comes at Eva, upset at what she has said about his mother. The police grab him and take him to the station for questioning.

At the station, Hector maintains that he didn't do anything to "that loca." Yes, they had gone out a few times. No, it wasn't his gun, it was hers. He said he didn't even know she was carrying it until she pointed it at that kid.

Falco talks with Caro. "You didn't answer my message," he says. "What message?" "The one on the phone. About the kiss." She's puzzled, as well she should be, since in the previous episode Mares saw the message and erased it before Caro had a chance to see it. Caro tells Falco that the kiss was a mistake. "We can't pretend that nothing happened in 23 years. We can't get back what we lost. I care for you a lot. I'll never stop doing so." And with that, she leaves.

Falco confronts Camila about Lucia's mother's knowing nothing about her having mononucleosis or other illness. Camila finally says it's all Lucia's mother's fault. "No, not Chantal. Her biological mother."

Falco then confronts Chantal. "Why didn't you tell me Lucia was adopted?" Chantal says that she and her husband had agreed to tell her when she was 18. Though her husband was now dead, Chantal told Lucia, explaining how special she was, how they had chosen her, how much they wanted her and loved her. But Lucia was furious. She felt that being adopted made her less. She refused to speak to her mother for a month.

Falco then goes to the adoption agency to find out who Lucia's biological parents are. The guy in charge tells him that legally he can't reveal that information.

Falco - Cap. 5 3/3

Legally, you can't, says Falco. In other words, you can, he says, grinning conspiratorially. The guy admits that for the right propina (tip, bribe), or if the girl is good looking.... Falco describes Lucia, and the guy all but salivates over the memory of his encounter with the girl Falco had described. The guy brings out a file folder and opens it so Falco can read it. "She didn't have to suggest anything, she kept raising her skirt as she was talking." At this point, an enraged Falco grabs the guy and threatens him with rotting in prison. The guy protests that he didn't force her to do anything, and moreover, she was legally of age. Falco storms out with the file identifying Lucia's biological parents.

Falco has a meeting with his psychiatrist. Clearly, his attitude toward her has changed. He talks about his recurrent nightmares and admits his fear that he's going crazy, and that this will last for the rest of his life. The psychiatrist tells him what he's experiencing is quite normal. "Your brain is trying to deal with the trauma." She prescribes some stronger pills to help him sleep and assures him that he can call her if he needs her, no matter the hour.

Tenoch calls Falco and tells him that he's found two wolves. They look at the video from the party house's entrance. They see Hector leave, take off the wolf costume, and throw it away. A short time later they see someone else whose face they can't see put on the costume and go into the party. Falco recognizes that the thing the person is carrying is a baseball bat (un bate).

They race off to the Jordans' house looking for Carlos. He's not there. They then race off to the hospital. Carlos was in Lucia's room, but he left before Falco and Tenoch arrive. They hurry up to the hospital's roof. Tenoch spots Carlos standing at the edge, looking down. Tenoch yells "Don't do it, Carlos." Falco adds "It makes no sense." He moves closer to Carlos, who says "I killed her." Falco tells him that his sister is alive. "She has a lot of life ahead of her, and so do you" (Le queda una vida por delante, a ti también).
He reaches out to Carlos, who comes down from the edge of the building and hugs Falco.

Falco comes to see Caro. Paola is there, and she gives him a cassette with music that she has put on it (I think). Then Caro comes into the room, Paola leaves, and Falco gives Caro back his wedding ring (I think). End of episode (I think).

Falco

wow, thanks so much Juanita!

these recaps must be difficult to do, they just kind of throw out the key points, easy to miss.

the story seemed pretty simple, I'm wondering what they cut out to shorten it.

2 things that threw me are Lucia being sick and Carlos never actually identifying her.

and while Falco is getting nowhere investigating his own case, which is actually saying a lot, he seemed to be chummy with his old partner, Juanpa, who was under the gun because no one caught that Lucia was alive and left her body at the scene for a number of hours.

Falco

Gracias, Juanita.

My guess is they cut a few lines here and there. When I turned on the captions I could occasionally see dialogue that I wasn't hearing.

Falco

Thanks, Juanita. Falco and Viewerville sense that Edna isn't being wholly honest. Yes, at last an episode where I start picking up on clues. I’m going to check out Telemundo’s site to see if it’s unedited there.

At the (not) murder scene, Mares got in a dig at Falco, saying something like “You look like you’re expecting a phone call.”

Novelera, Hope you had a good trip.

Falco

Wonderful recap, Juanita! Very well written and thorough.

I would add that Lucía was dressed as Little Red Riding Hood, and Héctor appeared to have come to the costume party with her as the wolf. I love costume parties and think that would be a very clever pair for a party. And...Rojas!! (red as the girl's surname).

Sounds like none of these people handled the issue of adoption well. I've heard a child should be told from the beginning how special they were and chosen by their parents, not having it dropped on them at the age of 18. And Chantal should have told the police about Lucía's being upset when they first interviewed her.

I'm definitely actively disliking Mares and enjoyed his getting a comeuppance from Salomón. And I'm also a bit peeved at Carolina. She kissed HIM, told him outside her apartment how well they understood each other, giving him the hope to make the call. Then she pulls back when he tries to act on the encouragement she gave him.

It seemed odd to me that, even after seeing the person grabbing up the discarded wolf head on video, the cops didn't catch on to how short the assailant was. The clue seemed to be that the weapon was thick and that Carlos mentioned having been at baseball practice.

Falco

Many thanks, deb, 5ftLatina, Niecie, and novelera, for your great comments. And special thanks to 5ftLatina and deb for the heads-up about the delayed start time. I suspect I would have been beside myself had I not been warned, fearing that somehow I had missed the broadcast and wouldn't be able to recap until the next day, if then. (What, me worry? :-) )
