TELEMUNDO Y MÁS (#1): Sin senos sí hay paraíso 3, El señor de los cielos 6, Falco, & más: Week of August 6, 2018

Welcome to Page #1 (Monday edition) of the Telemundo y Más page, issued twice a week: Mondays and Thursdays at 8:00 PM.

Here are the current evening telenovelas (all times are Eastern Daylight Time):

• 9-10PM—Sin senos sí hay paraíso 3
• 10-11PM—El señor de los cielos 6
• 9-10PM (Sundays)—Falco

Heads Up: A new telenovela, Falsa identidad, is scheduled to begin sometime in September. It will replace Sin senos sí hay paraíso 3, which is currently in its etapa culminante. Information about Falsa identidad's cast is a bit conflicting, but among the stars will be Luis Ernesto Franco, whom many of us loved as Rodrigo in Bajo el mismo cielo, and Uriel del Toro, who played Andrés in Al otro lado del muro. Wow!!

Everyone is welcome to join in the conversation.  Since discussions of all the Telemundo novelas share the same page, please remember to put the name of the telenovela you're referring to at the top of your post, so readers can easily find the conversations they're looking for.

By common agreement, this group DOES NOT discuss previews, trailers, or any other plot information not found in a current or past episode of the current production. Spoilers WILL be removed by the admin. This includes reference to earlier productions of the story, and even the original novel. Thanks for your cooperation!

Falco

I hope it's ok to bring the Falco conversation over from the previous post!

Novelera, I was interested to see what you came up with for nutriólogo. There are apparently distinctions between nutritionists and dieticians...my eyes were glazing over. I went with nutritionist too.

I think if Falco used the phone more he'd like how much information it gives him access to.

I guess I just assumed Tenoch was looking at Facebook.

sin-senos3 #40

CataG and Santi head home, pondering Soraya, CataG calls Hilda to let her know they aren't coming, says it's an emergency with Mariana.

the narco wants Soraya to take care of a dying friend that he can't take to a hospital, in exchange she will be handsomely rewarded, and he will kill CataG.

Paola is going nuts getting reacquainted with Laura.

Villa calls his guys, (are they outside CataG's house now) he orders a car bomb for Cata M, but, after he and Dayana are back in Mexico.

Titi interrupts their sex, he has word Diabla is being flown out tomorrow, if she leaves she will talk, they need to kill her before she gets on the plane, Villa's ok with that, Titi calls the 15th street boys, they want 2 green ones, Villa is ok with that, Titi goes looking for Mariana.

the Colonel preps his troops for tomorrow, they will be moving Diabla to the hanger from her unknown TEA location.

Jota has flipped since CataG isn't coming, he needs space but has an idea, sees a taxi, nope the cab takes off, another taxi, doesn't stop. a third the same.

CataG drops Santi off then comes for the baby, CataM drops that they want to adopt her.

Mariana is looking at baby pics when Titi finds her, I thought you were just stopping by, nope, the baby?, she will go get her when her father goes with me, gulp, Titi is not ready to be a parent, the baby would pay the price for the life he lives.

mummy Daniel rolls around his hospital bed yelling for Lucia, until a nurse sedates him, the Colonel swings by, the doc says his burns will heal but... it will be a couple of days before Daniel will be stable enough to visit.

Jota takes all to the police station, punches a cop, and gets a cell for the night, Vane thanks him for abandoning them (actually without Jota around maybe the rest can relax and figure something out).

Paola gets the real story with Laura, they pushed her out of a swing into a park bench, this left her sterile. (this is from the black and white prequel called No Senos No Hay Paraiso)

Jota meets his cellmate, a BIG guy, who asks if he found Laura yet, what? so Jota finally asks him where she is, Laura is everywhere...

Falco

Happy to chat more about Falco, Kat. I really enjoy this show. As for nutriólogo, it sounds close to nutritionist, and I looked it up as well. I think dietician was in the dictionary translation as well.

You're probably right about Tenoch being on Facebook. Everyone is, except me! I'm stubbornly resisting the siren song.

I think they've taken some common cop show themes from English language shows; i.e., partners who dislike each other at first and then find they complement each other.

And the mysteries are quite well done. I don't find anything to be obvious.

sin-senos3

Thanks yet again, deb, for heroically doing these very helpful daily recaps.

I put the label sin-senos3 on this posting, but I think a more accurate label would have been sin-senos0,1,2,3. It seemed as if half the so-called episode really consisted of flashbacks from all four seasons of Sin Senos, including Sin Senos No. Occasionally I found these flashbacks useful, especially when they showed things from seasons I hadn't watched. Although even then, I had already seen some of those flashbacks when they were shown as flashbacks before. I hate it when they rely so heavily on flashbacks.

Wow, tonight Jota was even more ridiculous and annoying than usual, and that's saying something! I loved your comment "(actually without Jota around maybe the rest can relax and figure something out)." And I was delighted when Jota found that being thrown in a cell for the night might not have been such a good idea.

So is Soraya really a doctor?

sin-senos3

Thanks, deb. Actually this episode should have been called sin action. Nothing really happened, except for flashbacks and waaaay too much Jota.

And did they really have about 20 cops in riot gear to take one woman, dangerous criminal though she might be, to a helicopter?

OT a bit, I watched Don Francisco's show on Sunday and saw the actress playing Dayana, who seemed like a very nice and intelligent person. Sometimes I can't catch everything the Colombians say, but she either has her law degree or was in law school and gave it up because of a tragedy where her boyfriend died.

Musing on that, Piolín was also on the show. He's kind of a big deal on Spanish language radio. As soon as *Dayana* was no longer talking and Piolín began, I noticed how my comprehension of everything when hearing a Mexican accent improves about 50%. Here in CA and especially in my job in construction, this is the accent I hear all the time. Shows like Don Francisco are the acid test for me because the speech is rapid and they talk over each other, and some of them even mumble.

Also, continuing to be OT and sorta apologizing for it, on the same Don Francisco episode I saw Spain's entry in the Miss Universe contest, a beautiful trans woman, Ángela Ponce.

sin-senos3

Thanks for the recap, Deb!

I think Jota should take a picture of the big guy in the cell, because in the morning, my guess is that he never existed!

I could be wrong, but it didn't look as if the girls were pushing Laura that much on the swing, she sort of wanted to go higher and higher. But even if some of them were pushing, they were very young, does this condemn them all to die? I know, Laura's not the forgiving type.

I do think Soraya is a doctor, but when has she last practiced, and is her mental state really conducive to saving the life of a narco? My guess - yes.

I was happy that Granados does not know the location Yesica is being moved to, because that recruit who was asking the questions could actually be working for the cartels.

Hernan and CataM asked CataG who was CataP's father, CataG replied it's not her job to tell, ask Mariana. I think CataG should have told them. CataG was also bemoaning her situation, one child missing, has given up her baby, and the other (Sebastian, whom we almost never see) in the US with Santiago's sister.

That was pretty silly that 3 taxis stopped, then wouldn't let our group in. The strange part is that this podunk town actually HAS 3 taxis. Yes, I know, tomorrow the cop will say we don't have any. Again, they should have taken cellphone pictures.

For one second, we did see that Yesica is still barefoot.

Dayanna wasn't too pleased with Titi's idea to kill Yesica, I guess she likes to be able to work with all the druglords. But Villa shut her up pretty quickly.

Titi really is the most human or caring of the druglords. He doesn't want to kill CataM (because he loves CataG), he doesn't want Mariana's baby to have her life labeled as "daughter of a druglord". Last year, Titi had to kill Don Marcial, (another druglord who had spent 18 years in jail with him) because Marcial was going to turn him in. Titi knew he had to do it, but agonized for weeks before he tearfully did it. Okay, he ended up killing the guy, but he did have very human emotions about it (unlike Dayanna, Villa, Yesica and many others, who have no real feelings (except Yesica's for Daniela).

sin-senos3 #41

hmm, Laura had a boyfriend, Mario, who wanted lots of kids, when they found out she was barren, he left, she's cried ever since or something, swore that if she couldn't have kids then the 5 girl's kids would die too, her mom helped with the curse, Paola is getting really shook up, has she been tied to that chair for a couple of days.

Tony follows Cata G home, Santi is already there, CataG left the baby with CataM, who's enjoying the time with her and Hernan, singing songs to the baby, Hernan comments, Mari is planning something.

Soraya visits the narco's sick friend, appendicitis, she'll operate there.

what's her name and the Fiscal talk, hope Diabla has a safe trip, and were they talking about the guy Soraya is helping as Diabla's lead.

morning

Jota's screams awake the others sleeping in the lobby, they want to check on him but the cops are ignoring the whole thing, Jota's big guy is keeping him riled up.

Titi's guys have the route and time of Diabla's convoy, and the men, and a plan.

CataG and Santi didn't sleep well, worrying about Mariana.

(and instead of calling Sebas, CataG and Santi watch a flashback of an earlier call to him)

Rocco gets everything Soraya needs for the surgery, she seems to have seen this guy before, Rocco says he is the guy that pulls all the political strings in the country.

Villa and Dayana head for Mexico, Titi will hold things down, Mari watches from afar, Dayana says he should marry Mariana, they could have a double wedding, Titi says nope.

CataG calls Albeiro, he repeats they are stuck there, she needs some time for a plan, decides Santi will stay and wait to hear from Mari, CataG and Tony will go get Hilda.

Soraya operates, alone, with Narco and Rocco watching.

Mari joins Titi for breakfast, makes it clear they are not getting married, he tries flirting but her weird faces cracks him up.

CataG leaves from the Cata Mansion, Tony driving, Santi blowing kisses, to pick up mom.

the bad guys are in position to get Diabla with a construction roadblock in place.

Jota and Vane are checked in the infirmiry, with Jota back to his cell, (I was expecting to see there was no one else in his cell but they didn't show us) Albeiro let's Hilda know, CataG is on the way, again.

CataG calls Hilda, 2 hours, and she wants to see her papa. (and I'm wondering if they are on a collision course with Diabla's convoy)

Soraya has removed the appendix.

Villa and Dayana arrive at his place in Mexico and get busy, she's not giving him any time to think.

Miguel places Dani's ashes in Diabla's lap, her hands cuffed behind her, that's half of our bargain he says, the other half when you board the plane.

Titi checks on his guys, they're ready, when the convoy stops the TEA chief will get out, that's how they will know which car Diabla is in.

sin-senos3

Muchas gracias, deb. I enjoyed your recap more than the episode. I especially liked your comment about CataG's non-call to her son: "(and instead of calling Sebas, CataG and Santi watch a flashback of an earlier call to him)." It may be that she really does miss him, but until very recently I don't recall her saying anything about him except for the one phone call announcing that she and Santi are back together. Then, suddenly two times this week she tearfully says she misses him.

So is CataG as empty-headed as she's beginning to seem? She apparently no longer give much thought to the threat to CataM, only Santi seems worried. And when Santi seems like the smart and sensible one, we're in for trouble.

I'm hoping we're not expected to be sympathetic to Laura. It's not clear that the girls really caused her to fall off the swing, resulting in her not being able to have children. Even if the girls were to blame (which didn't seem to be the case from yesterday's flashback), surely her inability to have children doesn't justify the planned deaths of the five girls. Between all the attention to Laura and the nonsense with Jota, I found very little in the last couple of episodes that I cared about.

I guess Rocco's saying that the guy Soraya operates on pulls all the political strings in the country makes it likely that he's the guy La Diabla mentioned to her cellmate/spy WhatsHerName. I wonder where Soraya had seen him before.

Has Martin dropped off the face of the earth? I'd like to think so, but....

sin-senos3

thanks Juanita!

yeah, Martin's whole reason for being in Colombia was to get revenge on CataG, not by killing her but by tormenting her, and so far he is tormenting the whole country except for CataG who just doesn't get that it is all about her.

I think WhatsHerName and the Fiscal were talking about their guy being sick and disappearing and that the key to locating him would be finding the doctor.

DEB:

IT HELPS A LOT!!!THANKS!!!

CG, finally heading to Quinchia??...hang in there Paola!!!

no comment abt the idiota...in jail.!!!he is gone..

Laura and boyfriend????no baby..due to the the what??... womb issue she never knew she had for ten years..WTF!!!!

Sin-senos3

Thanks so much, deb. I second Juanita’s comment that your recap was better than the show.

Let me chime in on the complete idiocy of Laura arranging to kill off 5 young women because she fell off a swing when she was 11, or so, as a result of her gleefully urging whichever kid was pushing her to push harder.

I have no hope whatsoever that these guys will actually kill off Diabla. I guess there really ARE massive profit margins in the drug business because they can afford dozens of guys running around trying to kill, in no particular order: Catalina Grande, Catalina Mediana, and Yésica. And, apparently, their budgets don’t run to an attempt on Jota, more’s the shame.

And, Halimacandy, last night I saw about 10 minutes of Sin Tetas on a Spanish language movie channel that I get. I think I saw Jota for a minute trying to kill someone with a handgun, but it was late and I had no intention of staying up to watch the whole movie to see if they showed him again. I think I saw that movie maybe 5 years ago, because I recognized the fair-haired guy playing Albeiro.

I’m waiting for the giant guilt machine to land on Daniel when he knows his drunken craziness resulted in Ximena’s death.

And is Martín going to appear weighing 300 pounds from having eaten Lucía AND Valentina?

I’d also like to second Hombre’s opinion that Titi is a remarkably humane narco. Looks like he moved Dayana’s priority of bombing CataM (and Mariana’s as well) to #2 on the To-Do List and put blowing up Diabla’s vehicle at #1. Now that Dayana is out of town, I suspect Titi will figure out a way to NOT do the bombing or have it fail somehow.

I got a kick out of Tony’s sorrowful face watching Cata and Santi kissing goodbye.

sin-senos3

Great recap, Deb, and great comments, everyone!
I think Paola did squeak out "that's not the way it happened" which makes us think Laura has enhanced her memory of the swing incident. I agree with Juanita, Laura is way in the wrong here. But now that she's dedicated herself to the dark side, she's got awesome powers, and how can they be stopped?

This idea of a roadblock or construction blocking the prisoner transfer has appeared in so many telenovelas, you'd think the TEA would have a helicopter scouting things out ahead of the convoy. But no. Also, why not have two convoys? Then not only would the bad guys not be sure which car Yesica is in, they wouldn't be able to zoom in on the convoy. And if the convoy stops, why would Miguel necessarily get out? We know he will, but that's probably a bad move. And he's so intelligent.....

Not that it matters, but I'm pretty sure I heard Ms.What's her name referred to as Lucrezia the other day. The Fiscal is Omar Mendoza. We've probably heard the name of the politician or guy who pulls the strings earlier, but I can't remember it. I guess he's willingly with the narcos. But if he's a respectable guy and nobody knows he's dirty (except maybe Omar), why does he have to be operated on in secret? Unless he was kidnapped here, but then he wouldn't be dirty. My head is spinning, and I haven't even mentioned Jota!

For an episode in the etapa culminante, this was pretty boring, although it looks as if something exciting HAS to happen in the next episode.

CataG wants to see her father, but she might be barking up the wrong tree. It could be ruff.

I like Novelera's idea of Martin weighing 300 pounds from his dietary habits.

I didn't think it was a good idea to put Dani's ashes on Yesica's lap, because if the convoy stops suddenly (of course the cops don't know this), there could be a mess.

sin-senos3

Hombre, I laughed out loud at "CataG wants to see her father, but she might be barking up the wrong tree. It could be ruff."

Good one!

sin-senos3 #42

the suspense builds while we wait for something to happen, anything.

Soraya operates.

Jota refuses to leave his cell, is the big guy making some sense?, they haven't found Laura because they are afraid of her.

Soraya operates.

Paola looks like she is in a trance, as Laura conjures and smokes.

the convoy is stopped by the construction, Miguel gets out, which shows the car Diabla is in, a bus pulls in behind trapping the convoy, Pulpo fires, direct hit, news is sent to Titi, it's payday, but wait, does Diabla's eyes open, spooky.

Diabla grabs Dani's ashes and a gun, shoots the guard, more suspense as we watch Diabla crawl out of the van.

Soraya operates,
is she almost done?, the guys leave, probably to get a drink.

Titi's guys are on the way to pick up there money, Titi wants to celebrate, Mariana will wait till CataM is bombed.

Albeiro tries to talk Jota into leaving the cell, the big guy is over in the corner, Jota wants to stay, tell Vane to hit the cop so she can stay too.

CataG arrives in Quinchia, but where are all the people.

Diabla makes it to a market, her face half gone but no one notices, she hijacks a lady with her gun, gets her clothes.

Titi asks Mari why she is so full of hate, she'll spill if he tells her who he blew up, Diabla, he says.

CataM and Hernan do their homework but will both cut class to stay with the baby.

2 guys bring a bomb on a bicycle to Hernan's front door, they go check on the guards that are parked down the street, and call Titi.

the Colonel arrives at the convoy bombing, salutes the dead Miguel, flips out to learn Diabla is gone. (it's really nice to have a good cop in charge)

CataG arrives at the police station and takes charge, Tony falls back keeping an eye on everyone and everything.

Titi's guys pick up the money, show Titi the video of blowing up the van, they talk about more work.

Diabla finds a hole to crawl into, this ok Dani?

Hernan runs to the store to get some food, walks right past the bike bomb, (I think the guys rigged it to go off by cell phone, and are waiting for CataM to show).

Mariana misses her baby and calls mom,,, well you are not going to like this, but I left her with my sister, says CataG...

sin-senos3

I loved your recap, deb, starting with the first sentence: "the suspense builds while we wait for something to happen, anything." And then "Soraya operates" "Soraya operates" "Soraya operates." Perfect.

What a botched bombing! And no, I'm not talking about the fact that La Diabla got away, I'm talking about how poorly Telemundo presented the bombing. Diabla had a lot of blood on her face, but other than that, she seemed untouched. No other part of her body seemed injured or even dirty. Similarly, her clothes were neither ripped nor bloodied. And Dani's ashes, too, apparently remained undisturbed, and the container they were in still appeared immaculate. I was also surprised that no one from the other vehicles in the caravan came over after the blast to see whether they could be helpful.

What's with no-tengo-miedo Jota? No-tengo-cerebro, perhaps.

I confess that I loved the last scene in the episode, where Mariana learns that CataG has left the baby with bomb target CataM.

sin-senos3

Deb, you outdid yourself with this snarky masterpiece. I loved the multiple Soraya operates as much as Juanita. And that sure was an enormous looking appendix they showed. Don't think it's that large.

I'm sorry. Vanessa is a beautiful woman and appears to be a courageous one as well. She seems, at most, irritated at Jota's behavior. Kick him to the curb, lady!

Juanita, I also was pleased to see Mariana hoist with her own petard. While the bombing with the rocket launcher sorta made sense, I'm confused by the machine outside CataM and Hernán's place. Looks like a fake ice cream cart? And, of course, the presence of the baby guaranteed the adults' survival.

Oh, and a big convoy is taking a prisoner to the airfield, but there must have been survivors. And none of them tried to apprehend the guys on the rooftop?

Diabla's messed up face makes me nervous. It was posted here the actress isn't returning, so I HOPE they're not planning for plastic surgery, another actress and another season of this turkey.

sin-senos3

novelera, I found the prospect you raise in your final paragraph scarier than anything in the novela!

sin-senos3

Another stellar recap, Deb.

Totally agree with Juanita about the botched bombing. Additionally, Yesica finally had some strong boots on. And after a bomb that knocked her unconscious, could she really pull herself up out of the side of the van? I also agree with Novelera about the surviving cops. I guess they were saying that ALL the cops got out of all the vans, and the blast killed them all?? Not really, someone did call it in. But the cops arrived well after the one ambulance. Hmmmm. BTW, I think that hole Yesica was going to in the graveyard might have some hidden money in it, I vaguely remember something like that from last season, but I could be wrong.

I wonder how competent those two guys "guarding" CataM will be.

I wonder how long it will take for Titi to find out that Yesica escaped, and will he find and punish Pulpo and friend? If we've learned anything from these shows, no one's dead until you see the body (and even then, maybe not, as with Chalo, who died last season, but it was his double - then he died again this season).

Albeiro did not seem to notice the big guy in the back of the cell, reinforcing our guess that he's not really there (but is able to give valuable info). Yes, now all they have to do is not be afraid. Well, I don't think Albeiro or Hilda are afraid, doesn't that count? If they have to wait for Jota to not be afraid, we could be waiting a looooong time.

Titi asked Mariana why she wanted CataM dead. We didn't exactly hear the answer, just saw another flashback, but wasn't it sort or "I was all set to marry Hernan, but he showed me a DNA test proving that I lied in saying he was the father. So THAT's why I want to kill CataM". Makes perfect sense.

I'm still waiting for someone to even MENTION Laura's name to the cops in the pueblo. Okay, she doesn't live right in town, but wouldn't you think they know something about her? But no. And now that Paola is acting like a zombie, will she become a pawn in Laura's nefarious plan? We saw what Abigaile did to Albeiro, making Paolo Laura's slave or pawn would be child's play for Laura.

How come all the babies are about the same age? I thought Vanessa's baby was born last season, Mariana's and Albeiro's are much younger, but they all look about the same age. I wonder if Yesica has any desire to find "her" baby with Albeiro.

I remember when Season 2 ended, I thought about 10 story lines were going to get resolved, but they resolved.....none. I said I wouldn't watch Season 3. But here I am. Go figure. However, while I hope they resolve everything when this thing ends in about a month, I'm not holding my breath.
