La Bella y Las Bestias, Sept. 10, 2018: EL GRAN FINAL
Salutations, Patio Peeps!
We come to the end of our story and here it is..
JP and Simon show Emi the video of Eman. Emi asks Simon how he can insinuate something like that. Simon tells her Eman is a criminal; and he has been lying to her. Emi maintains that the shadow in the video is not her Eman.
Alicia tells Mike that they have a right to see the boy. Rod asks who has been taking care of him. Mike says Eman.
JP tells Emi that he couldn't tell her until he had evidence and reminds her that Eman killed their father, but Emi still doesn’t believe it.
Eman has broken into Bela's house; and Bela and Andrea watch from the batcave as he and Lopez come in and search for them. Eman tells Lopez to put his gun down since Bela won’t dare hurt him.
Emi tells JP he doesn't have enough evidence. JP tells her he got it when they were investigating the Senator.
Eman spots a camera and asks Lopez for his gun and shoots the cameras, but misses one. Lopez then asks if that is where Norman killed Enrique? Eman answers yes. As Lopez looks out the wal0sized window, Eman shoots him in the back. When the SWAT team makes their way, Eman tells them that Bela killed Lopez, but she escaped through the patio.
JP and Simon listens to more recordings that come out 100% matches. Simon says that they now have Eman
Bela could kick herself for believing Eman. Bela tells the rest of the B team she isn't going to kill Eman…she reminds them about Chucho; she is not going to do to him what was done to her…and Bela tells them that no one will believe that Eman is a murderer. Ask the patio.
Emi tells Eman that she saw the video. Eman tells her that he is not the shadow. Emi tells him that if he has more secrets she wants to know them. Emi tells him that the video can bring him many problems.
Bela asks how she can leave the boy without a father and what will happen when he grows up. Mike tells her the boy will seek vengeance, Bela knows that and the cycle will continue. Andrea thinks they should let JP resolve this. Pene warns Bela that if she calls Eman, her call will be traced, but Bela knows that; so Pene asks that she not bring Eman there. Bela calls Eman and they agree to meet. She them calls JP and tells him she needs to see him.
JP asks Bela how she got in. She says she wanted to see him. JP tells Bela that they almost have everything to prove Eman is the shadow, but Bela questions if that will be enough.
Pene tells MIke that this is the day he will walk. Mike tells her he has already tried. Pene is more determined than Mike by a long shot Bless her little Ninja heart.

their surveillance cameras. Eman calls asks how Bela is. She says how do you
think with all that's has happened. Eman needs her to cooperate and asks if she
is home. Bela say no but Eman knows she is lying. Eman tells Bela that they are
there to detain Andrea. They need to question her about Viv's death. Bella
tells him she knows nothing about that Colombiana. Bela insists that she (Bela)
is not home; she left through the patio.

When Bela asks about Maria, Eman tells her he killed her because she knew too much about him. Bela can’t believe he killed his son’s mother who was a child herself and asks if he is going to kill her too. What do you think?
Emi tries to call Eman, but he is in a meeting, kinda. Bela asks why he pretended to be part of the family. Eman insists tht he was part of the family. Enrique was his friends and he considered her a daughter. Then when he got close to Armando, he wanted to have power. Killing her father was never in his plans. Bela asks why he allowed her to kill the beasts; so he tells her she was doing him a favor and she did it well. Bela says Emi is left, but Eman reminds her tha Emi is his wife. After Bela asks him if he isn't going to do anything to her, she confesses that she is tired of lying, running, and not being the person she really is. She has hurt many. She is there for her mother and for Maria. She forgives him.
Eman can't believe she forgives him…she can't forgive him for all the things he has done. She says she is doing it for the boy. She is not going to let him do to the boy what he did to her…he ruined her life. Eman draws his gun as Bela runs for cover.
Eman tells Bela to come out. Eman says he has everything and the power he needs to protect himself. She emerges with a steel pipe. Um...he has a real, loaded, used, GUN Bel. He tells her to put that thing down and not to make things more difficult.
Eman tells Bela that if she takes one more step she will die. She drops the pipe. She tells him to kill her the way he likes to kill...in the back. Finally JP arrives and JP shoots Eman. When JP asks why she is here, Bela tells him she needed to talk to him.
Emi arrives and starts another three weeks of bawling all over herself. JP tells her not to get close. And not to touch him. She curses Bela for killing him. JP tells her Eman was a murderer, but Emi tells him he was her husband.
Emi tells Bela she will live the rest of her life in jail. When JP admits that he killed Eman. Emi asks JP if she is now an accomplice. Emi says that Bela is the beast and she should be dead. JP tells her that if she does something to Bela she will answer to him. Everybody else now gets there.
Police arrive and JP tells them to cover all the exits and call an ambulance. Bela tries to talk to Emi, but as she turns and walks away, Emi rifles through Eman's pockets and finds the syringe of poison and sneaks up behind Bela and injects her in the neck. JP catches her as she falls but the effect is instantaneous. As JP tries t o suck out the poison
Time passes...
Everyone claps for JP. It is his honor to be named Director of the Fed Agency He has had time to think about his years there and wants to share...that with determination and perseverance change can come about. Meanwhile Pene helps Mike walk. While he talks a series of events that have occurred are shown…

JP
continues a nice speech about people needing to feel safe and protected. He
learned that they are not responsible for their parent's action…they need to
follow their own path. He also learned some hard lessons…how to lose
innocence…where there is good there has to be evil. There is nothing harder
than to see those that one loves suffer. Life is not a road to walk
alone...they need friends, comrades...It has been a long intense road that he
never imagined…he never thought this would happen. This road he has walked with
a woman. A woman whose anger engulfed her and led her to look for justice after
this country and people in power stole everything from her life. He loves
Isablela Leon and now she is fighting for her life. If she survives, it is only
to fight another battle since she is being accused of murdering several, but he
knows she did not commit those crimes. And he knows he cannot help her prove
it; so he cannot accept this appointment. He will continue to work for justice,
but though other means. They can stay with their federal police department.
Emi is in jail.
Bela is alive but still in the hospital. Doctors tell the cops they can take Isabela. Isabel was rolled out to an ambulance being driven by Mike. JP is there with Pene. They were not going to leave her alone...they are a team.

It has been a fun, gut wrenching ride with all of you. Thanks to everyone for all your encouragement and making this a fun patio. This certainly was one of the more offbeat TNs I have ever seen. I believe it was an interesting story, but almost impossible to pull off and make it believable.
The ending tonight was even full of surprises right to the bitter end, with Eman in a pet shipping crate and Emi with a secret key and a briefcase of something. I assumed it was casino chips, which we must believe were worth a lot of money, I guess.

I really enjoyed the actor that interpreted Emanuel!! He did a great job in those scenes with Bela and throughout the whole show!! If there is a second season it's most definitely going to be based around him. I'm glad I got to see him interpret this character!! He was my fav character even though everyone hated him here lol
I knew that Andrea and Simon would end up together!

I love the stark simplicity of that line. And I also love the recapping duo of Kirby and Rgv Chick. Occasionally your writibng styles matched so seamlessly I didn't know which one of you was writing the recap.
I had to skip most of this because I found the story too violent and depressing, but the Patio and the Recappers are just the best. Hope that both Kirby and Rgv Chick will join the Mi Marido Tiene Mas Familia because you two rock!

Bela became tired of the vengeance and was going to end it, even if it meant dying. Luckily JP was not tired and was able to pick up the slack. The two of them can now start a new life.
Mike and Penny can start a new life too. Mike is going to walk again. Penny will make sure it happens.
Andrea and Simon decided to give each other a chance.
Alicia and Rod have Chucho now. Can finally move on with their lives.

Highly disappointed with this finale, sorry to be the negative one but it’s cleatly the truth :(
Emanuel deserved more torture and longer punishment by JP and Bella, we didn’t even get to see them in a fight scene with him which would’ve been nice. Instead we saw a quick gun shot right to his chest and that had him fall. Very crappy!
And many truths were left undiscovered; like Eman killing JP and Emília’s mother, and us finding out how JP find out Eman killed their father too. Univision did this novela so much unfair injustice, after such an amazing start this novela had and the effort that was put into the epic story that was told.
Emanuel deserved more torture and longer punishment by JP and Bella, we didn’t even get to see them in a fight scene with him which would’ve been nice. Instead we saw a quick gun shot right to his chest and that had him fall. Very crappy!
And many truths were left undiscovered; like Eman killing JP and Emília’s mother, and us finding out how JP find out Eman killed their father too. Univision did this novela so much unfair injustice, after such an amazing start this novela had and the effort that was put into the epic story that was told.
Lucas: I had a feeling Univision was going to leave too many loose ends & I was proven right.
1.) Whatever happened to Grace with her accusations against Isabella & did the video ever become public ?
2.) Emilia STUPID as SHIT. She is likely to form a new Beasts Alliance in the future & you can bet she wants our Protagonista dead down the road.
3.) Marcia: I heard she got attacked by Grace in a similar heating incident. Any truth to this ?
4.) Ofelia getting away with her complicity in murders.
5.) JP should've known that Emilia had spies inside law enforcement to escape from prison.

Good Morning, Patio. Thank you so much for all your kind words and sharing your thoughts throughout this show. I'm late to the patio because I was watching the ending once more. JP's speech was inspired so I wanted to share the whole thing with you along with some of the events (numbered and listed below the speech) he was actually referring to as he spoke. Here it is..
It is my pleasure and honor to be here to receive the nomination for Director of the Federal Agency. These have been difficult and complicated days, weeks and months; and I have realized how feelings and beliefs. During this time, I have had the opportunity to reflect upon my years here at with the Federal Police. I want to share my thoughts. (1) I have learned that with determination and perseverance one can bring about any change. I learned that one has to be bold, tenacious and have much courage to overcome whatever obstacle. But I also learned that none of this is of use without freedom. (2) As policemen, it is our obligation to defend the undeniable right to be free and pursue happiness…to feel safe and protected as citizens, On the other hand, I learned many things about family. (3) Who are we; where did we come from and where we should return to? I learned that we are not responsible for our parent’s actions; we should not have to pay for their misdeeds. It is our obligation to make ourselves responsible and forge through our paths. I also learned hard lessons; lessons that caused the loss of innocence... (4)…and to accept reality, cruel as it must be. I am aware that for goodness to exist, there has to be evil; and I know that power is a tool that can be used to do good, but it also corrupts. (5) One could even say…to corrupt. I know that there no pain that is more intense than to see those we love suffer. I also know that betrayal is even more painful when it comes from your circle of trust. Life is not a road that can be taken alone. It is not the battle for just one person. It requires the family, partners, and friends. Friends, I could not be here standing and alive without you. Thank you. It has been a long and intense trip with unexpected consequences. I did not know that all of this would happen to me. I have walked through these years holding the hand of a woman while I learned all of these things that I have mentioned and much more. (6) Isabela Leon is a woman of whom greed, pride and the evil of a few took all of her life…a woman who with all the tragedy was only looking for justice; justice that this country, its institutions and some very powerful people took from her. I love Isabel Leon, and now Isabela Leon is fighting for her life. What is most ironic is that if she survives and is able to leave that hospital, it will only be to free her so she can fight another battle…one that she will not be able to win. Isabela Leon is accused of murdering my predecessor, a reporter and a Senator of the Republic. I started by saying that is was an honor to be here to accept the job and that I had some resolved feelings. This is because I know that Isabela Leon is did not commit any of those crimes. And I also know that she will not be able to prove her innocence. I cannot accept an appointment to exercise the responsibilities to be Director of the Federal Police when this institution does not give its citizens security not the right to exercise the law. I am not going to accept this responsibility; I leave it to you to fight over…to make more money because, in the end, that is what you want. We want justice and we want to things right; and we will do it, but not through the government or its institutions…you can have your Federal Police. Thank you.

Lucas, in addition to being tired of the vengeance, Bela knew deep down that she had hurt many...and Chucho really got to her. At the very beginning she made it clear that she would not kill someone if a child was involved. And I think that when she started the whole revenge plan, she had accepted that she would not make it alive...she even told Eman at her parent's funeral that she had nothing to live for anymore. When she met with JP before before she went to meet with Eman, I took it as her good-bye...knowing that she would probably not make it out alive.
I was not quite as disappointed as you were Lucio...at least Eman got an appropriate anvil, Andrea and Simon are giving it a chance, Mike is on his road to recovery, and ALL the B-team members made it out alive and are reunited to fight for justice. Now Emi is rich, but escaped from jail, but she will always be on the run watching over her shoulder. It was the jail guard she paid off with those chips, so she really can't go back to the casino. He cohorts are probably casino employees though and she might run th e business through them.Oh my, could Andres and Tobias have returned??

Late to the patio, but finally caught up. Rgv Chick and Kirby, thanks for the stellar double-teaming. The plot got crazy, but you two always made sense out of it and punched holes in the nonsense.
ITA everything Lucio said. The finale was pretty good. The only thing that got on my last nerves is all the time wasted trying to convince Emi that Eman was bad, when we could've seen more of Mike getting his legs back or Bella whacking Eman with the pipe.
I applaud the writers for trying to do an action TN without making it a narco TN. Maybe next time though, more action and espionage Mission Impossible style and less killing.
ITA everything Lucio said. The finale was pretty good. The only thing that got on my last nerves is all the time wasted trying to convince Emi that Eman was bad, when we could've seen more of Mike getting his legs back or Bella whacking Eman with the pipe.
I applaud the writers for trying to do an action TN without making it a narco TN. Maybe next time though, more action and espionage Mission Impossible style and less killing.
