Corazón Que Miente, Week 15 (9/10/18)–Tuesday Finals: Al gets the trophy; Ren loses more than Al.
*Dem is delivered to prison. His attire is well coordinated in blue. Guess who is waiting for him—Rog.
Labels: miente
Thought Alonso was quite fetching with his loving looks towards Mariela. He is very good at conveying tenderness and affection with just his eyes and slight smile. Well done. The wedding dress seemed so-so, but she looked good in it. Lovely, womanly actress for someone so young. And Karla was quite smashing, even if her intended was a bit on the portly, bald side. I guess great hair (Eduardo) isn't everything.
Best of all, to me, was that our good madrina looks to be ending up with the good doc, just as I prophesied in the beginning. Hopefully he will keep her on the straight and narrow, diet and medication-wise, and Cirilla will just have to find someone else to boss. And hey, Love can do great things for your health. Or so I've heard.
Anita, you did yeoman's work getting this going and keeping it going, and Blue Lass, you were a wonderfully funny and entertaining "sub" whenever Anita was out and about in her travels. Many thanks to both of you. There would have been no Patio without you and how sad that would have been.
This was a very satisfying final chapter. Lots of perfect anvils, more forgiveness, another engagement, pretty dresses & hair, nice music.
”Poetic justice for making fun of Santi’s formerly useless legs.” Wow, good memory, Anita! I had forgotten that. Renata won't get to wear her pirate boots anymore.
Dem as a quadriplegic – yes!!! Perfect anvil for him. Bazinga!!!
Rog – Good riddance to bad rubbish. His permanent record at school (yes, that permanent record) was probably littered with notations, saying he “Does not play well with others”) He looked like he was still breathing when the cops found him yesterday, so no surprise seeing him today.
Ed – yes, dude, you will rot in jail knowing you (unintentionally) orchestrated your daughter’s murder and your ex-wife has moved on with a guy who has a lot less hair than you have and a LOT more character and morals.
I loved everything about Mari’s wedding attire --- dress, hair, headpiece, music, especially the very classical slow version of Irene Cara “Flash Dance – what a feeling” outside the church before the boda began.
Telenovela fairies even arranged Mari's train perfectly, when she got to the bottom of the staircase at home with help from Pachelbel’s Canon. (It was a true Disney moment.)
Lety looked really great with her hair up and that dress!
- - - My cable guide had this last episode listed as "Corazon Qué Miente - LTC". I've seen the "LTC" on final nights of other telenovelas. Does anyone know what that means?
How did Rafaela become a prostitute ?
Blue Lass: You were AWESOME doing the recaps along with Anita of course.
Doris: I see the lovebirds got the happy ending we all waited for since forever.
Judy: Happy to see Carla telling Ed to shove it & MIC DROP.
Too bad they don’t put more first run novelas on during the day.
What can I say? The gran final was perfect. The anvils for the villains were very appropriate.
All in all, this was a a very enjoyable novela; not a complicated plot but a very well told story. I was never bored.
See you all on another patio sometime!
Gave us stuff to laugh about,to be mad about, to wonder about, and to say WTH!
This is how a novella is suppose to be
Ya know? Those old fashioned love tns
Put the narcos somewhere else.
Her wedding gown was beautiful, loved the veil. Her hair and makeup was just
Flauless. A beautiful young actress.
So Demwit didnt die, wow. Rog did, he
Was leakin blood and everything.Yuck!
Perfect anvil for Demwit. And rog, he
Spilled so much blood. That was an ending he deserved.
And renata, stuck in the chair of wheels for the rest of her life. And
Rafi, get to lay on her back. To make
A living. Or any other position. Since
She was doin it anyway, first with dem
Then with ed, and then with rog. She got her training. And it's a shame cuz
She Was seemingly an intelligent like woman, she was a lawyer, she could have written her own ticket. But she
Prefered a cheap lay with these men who just used her. Some women don't think much of themselves I guess.
I think all the ends were all tied. Pretty much.
Anita and Blue Lass, Thank you both.
I enjoyed this episode immensely, and that's a high praise from someone that abhors the Mariella/Alonso pairing. I even didn't dislike the wedding.
The anvils were more than appropriate and the best I have seen in a very long time, although it stretches belief that Rafi had no other choice but to become a prostitute. She could have easily found a job, maybe not very well paid one, but anything beats being a prostitute.
And I am a little pissed off that Marcia keeps working at Quadrum as it wasn't discovered that she is a blackmailer and is untrustworthy and dangerous. I certainly wouldn't want a person like her working for me.
I was also bothered by Mari forgiving Ant so easily and my beanie had to be replaced by a new one when Mari discovered a letter from Leo (why would Leo write Mari a letter instead of talking to her and more importantly, why would he hide said letter? Was he somehow feeling that his time is up? and if so, why didn't he consider the eventuality that Mari wouldn't find the letter, or find it too late or too early, even before finding out about Ant?), but as all of you keep reminding me-it's a telenovela, let your mind float..
With all its beanie moments and horrendous galans, I am sad that this telenovela is over and am going to miss this lovely and lively patio and our stellar recappers Anita and Blue Lass.
May we meet again and thanks for all the fun!
Irene
All in all, a very satisfying conclusion to an enjoyable temporada in Alternate Puebla. I will miss all my virtual and imaginary friends. You guys have been great.
I have to say the beaniest moment of the final was when we all arrived at the church for what Mariela told Ant would be "a small ceremony, just family and very close friends" and were greeted by EIGHTY PEOPLE WE HAD NEVER SEEN BEFORE. Shouldn't there be a rule that you can't go to the big wedding unless you get a name-check in IMDB? Even if it's just as "second balloon seller" or "sweaty guy at gym"? (And where was Poinciano??? He already has a name and probably could have borrowed a sport jacket.)
I'm sure I'll see JudyB and Doris around somewhere else (gluttons for tn punishment as they are).
Irene--it was a pleasure to have you; your sense of adventure came right through your comments--until you admitted it.
Nina--your expressions and expressiveness have always been welcome and gives us insight and laughter.
Jarifa--thanks for stopping by as often as you did to make your contributions, as busy as you are on other telenovelas.
Maggie--your voice was welcome and fun; wish you had been here longer.
Blue Lass--what can I say. You stepped in to not only save the series from a slow death, but took the lead in sass and snark and carefully placed words and phrases that delighted all of us. Thank you.
To all the rest who read but didn't comment--please come out of the shadows. It's fun here.
I'll be away for the rest of the week (in a dry place), but will check in when I get back.
Stay safe, everyone.
Irene
I just chose to pretend I saw Julio snogging Cirila behind the potted plants.
I actually was surprised that they didn't go there with Julio and Cirila.

Before you all scatter, I watched the first 4 episodes of Falsa Identidad. Yes, it has a lot of gun fire and cold-blooded shootings already (I've gotten inured to shootings--it's torture and surgery I don't like). I must say, the premise *ought* to be fun, watching these two strangers pretend to be married for their lives' sakes. There are quite a few folks from Uni who have migrated over to Tele, including "Leonardo" from PASL (without glasses), as the mayor of Alamos (Mexico).
You have time to catch up. Novelera and Juanita have posted some detailed recaps to help sort out the characters (including a peek at Wikipedia). Maybe one of you will join us.
