Mi Marido Tiene Más Familia, capítulo 10, Tuesday, September 25, 2018; “Whose Fault is it Anyway?”
The boys look back at Robert as though to say, “mission accomplished.”
Labels: mimarido2
Lots of good laughs last night from the rumbling grumbling stomachs, the soap suds and Crisanta catching Amalia spying.
Bratty Sebas is turning out to be a bad influence on Dave. No surprise there.
At the river, Imelda couldn’t have fanned herself anymore quickly without taking off.
Should be an interesting time at the river tonight.
My mom was orphaned in her teens and my other grandparents lived far away. But we did always have a wonderful family dinner on Sunday. She would put a standing rib roast, with carrots and potatoes and lots of Beau Monde seasoning in the over while we went to church and Sunday School. When we got home, the house was filled with that wonderful aroma. All we had to do then was make a salad, set the table and ah....a feast! Good memories.
Odd that Catalina is blaming Julieta for what she did. Blaming others and keeping secrets seem to be a stable in these telenovelas.
Again, muchas gracias Cynthia!
You weave a wonderful story. Fantastic title and screen shots!
Thank you for all of your translations, particularly “No secret stays hidden for long under the sun, whether in life or before God. It’s all coming back head on.”
My favorite part was when Canuto remembered his sons as children. The black and white flashback with a young Eugenio turning and looking at his father with such love was gut wrenching. A reminder of little Robert with his red sweater frantically crying for his mother, first in the marketplace, then in the orphanage. These simple vignettes are so touching.
Worst moment was when Sebas told Crisanta “You will always be my mother” and Susana’s devastated reaction. Of course the child did not realize the depth of wound his words caused but I can’t think of a crueler blow.
“Canuto is just loving how he is seeing his sons all together again and wants to get back all that he lost”. My dear fellow, the past is just that. If your sons allow you back into their lives, you will have the rare opportunity to get to know and love the men before you. You will never be able to love and be with the children you lost.
“Catalina calls Julieta and angrily tells her that if her brother loses everything, then it is her fault”. Sigh. The nicer, more supportive Catalina was nice while she lasted.
Jarifa, Sebas is a little troublemaker. Despite what he has done and although I loathe he hurt his mother, I am grateful Dave has a staunch ally looking out for him. I think Sebas needs his mother's love and her presence even more.
Judy, it's only 7 am but your menu is making me salivate. What treasured Sunday dinner memories you have.
Tavo is a bit like an invisible spirit himself, isn’t he? Casper the friendly ghost, dispensing valuable advice.
Cynthia, thank you so much....
Diana
She would have done anything to get Robert back. Given anything to hold him, love him, reassure him. Yet, knowing where his children were, Canuto never reached out and squandered every opportunity.
So sad.

First i want to congratulate on a great recap and with pictures no less thank you so much. Now that last scene with Imelda calling over Julieta over and being upset because she is being ignored was just silly and what's the point of asking for advice from Julieta then dismissing her rudely. Ugh Imelda you make it hard to root for you.
Too bad Susana's good attitude was short-lived and replaced by pure spite. She blamed Crisanta for inheriting her attitude and work ethic, but I don't see it. Crisanta is no where near the bitter workaholic Susana is. And I too think Susana overhearing Sebas telling Cris that she was his mother was pretty disconcerting, but Susana can't really blame him for feeling that way.
I thought for sure Imelda was going to fake some ailment to get the family to leave the park, but instead she took out her frustration and anxiety on Julieta and Eugenio. It's just in her nature.
The flashbacks of the the brothers as children was truly a nice touch, but it's a little late for Canuto to be reminiscing and having any regrets. As some have stated before, staying away was his choice...a choice that will be hard to justify to three grown men who have fond memories of a father they believe is dead.
Oh and I was expecting Blanca to make faces and comments about Julieta's outfit; I guess she has changed a bit after all.
Hoppy Hump Day.
I give little Sebs a big pass. Both of his parents have basically abandoned him, choosing their careers over him. If he is a brat it is because he is in desperate need of love and attention from those who are supposed to be giving it to him. His grandma is wonderful but she can't take the place of his mom and dad.
Oh poor Hugo! I'm glad he is back with us this season. He is the hottie of the show for me!!
Cynthia, thank you for a wonderful recap, screenshots and all!
Fun episode, though people were mostly not at their best.
Something that just doesn't ring true to me is Susana's relationship with her kids. She's a smart woman, she sees what is happening, yet she still does not try to spend more time with them. Granted, it's late for that, but Axel is grown and old enough to have gone through medical training, but nowhere along the line did she figure out what was happening? Sebastian is definitely not too old, though she would have to bond with him slowly, carefully increasing the "quality time."
After all, won't this happen anyway, given that this is a telenovela?
Now if Hugo could work out a proper recipe for cookies that were that good and mellowed out people like that without the stomach problems, he could make a fortune.
Oh, wait! Maybe I know a recipe...

Julieta applies sunblock to David and reminds him that he needs to be covered up because of his burned skin. Then she applies some sunblock to Seb, who tells her that his mother does not care about him.
Am I the only one wondering if Seb's gonna have an allergic reaction from the sunblock and Susana will wind up blaming Julieta?
Carvivlie, I give Sebas a big pass too. He's a brat, but not bad. He won me over when he stood up to the kid bullying David. Don't blame him for liking grandma best. Susana pays the bills and obviously loves him but lets her anger at his father make her a cold fish.
The scene of the two families meeting by the river was simply beautiful. Blanca looked fantastic in that dress. And Eugenio had such a sweet smile introducing himself and his brothers to Canuto. And the makeup artist thankfully has toned down Imelda's look a bit.
Axel is no saint either. He is a grown man, employed as a doctor but living at home and calling his mother by her first name. Childish.
Oh, well. In the opening credits sequence it looks like Susana and Pancho are getting along really well...

Poor Susana. Those tasty cookies gave her a tummy ache.
Judyb, my mother, too, made delicious family dinners every Sunday. My family and I came so did my sister and her hubby and four children even though they lived an hour away. Good memories.
Great comments already.
We never found out what was in the cookies, did we?
Sebas having an allergic reaction to the sunscreen would be a fitting thing for tonight's episode.
So, no "llamada de la sangre" when Eugenio saw Canuto?
I'll be out of pocket and checking in over the next 2 1/2 weeks, whenever we are on hotel WiFi, to read the recaps. (((Hugs))) and my gratitude to Cynthia and Jarifa!
Doris: Have a great trip!
Niecie and Doris: Oh I hope Seb does not have an allergic reaction to the sunscreen.
Kirby: I have no idea what you are talking about, but I'm glad you came by.
JudyB: I agree, I don't know how anyone can prepare such a complicated meal after getting up at the crack of dawn and working in the bakery.
I'm still having trouble reconciling how the herbs "contaminating" the cookie dough made such a strong impact. It's not like arcenic and cyanide got mixed in, unless that is what Catalina was working with. I know the rest of the cookies were turned over to the police, but CSI units do not test for herbs. They will test for known toxins, not herbs.
However, the laxitive "Ex Lax" is made of an herb called Senna. It can be detected in a person's urine. I am not sure if putting cookies through lab testing would detect the senna. I still don't think that as little as got into the dough would have been nearly enough to cause such illness. You would have had to eat the equivelent of a box of Ex Lax for that to happen.
We shall see what transpires tonight.
