Mi marido tiene más familia Monday 9/24/18 Capítulo 9 "Bad Seeds: You Can't Pick Just One"

Thank goodness, it was all just a nightmare! Robert awakens apologizing still half asleep on the couch. Julieta comes in asking what is wrong. Robert wants to take this as the opportunity to tell Julieta about Canuto but he never gets to because Imelda has shown up at their door. She wants to talk to Robert alone. Was Robert going to tell Julieta? Yes, he was about to. Imelda is worried about all the repercussions of the truth coming out. She just can't take it.  He tries to explain how this involves so many other people beyond her. She begs Robert not to say anything.

Daniela and Gabriel are out on a "date" at a club. They have fun flirting back and forth. Clarisa and Casandra break the mood when they come running over. They have just spotted a guy (Axel)at the bar. It seems that Clarisa especially has her sights set on him. They stare at him from afar. Clarisa waves. It seems that Axel is more interested in staring at Daniela, though. Gabriel notices and is not happy.

Pancho is at home with the kids. Temo is trying out a sandwich creation of Pancho's when he gets a call from his friend Diego. Pancho tells him he can talk to Diego after supper.

When Imelda goes, Julieta wants to know what's up and if Imelda's visit has to do with what Robert was going to tell her. Yes, it does. Robert explains that it has to do with something with his grandmother who wants it kept quiet. It is a serious part of her past and with her heart attack a while back and her request, he will not be able to tell Julieta. She is worried. Robert knows they have a pact not to keep things from each other but this is not his decision.

As Axel gazes on, Daniela feels uncomfortable and Gabriel wonders what is going on. She has no idea. Gabriel wants to go and talk to the guy. (He does not know Axel.) Daniela pulls him back and tells him to not be so jealous. Axel is grinning now. Daniela just wants them to go back to their date so he can win her heart. He is just sick of Axel staring. She just wants him to ignore the guy. Daniela gestures that she is with Gabriel and she kisses Gabriel so Axel gets the message. In the meantime, Clarisa has decided that Axel is not Casandra's type. They dance and argue about him.

Back at Robert's, they are in bed. Robert is reading when Julieta asks if Robert can just tell her a little bit of what is going on. He explains that he wants to tell her but it is not his to tell since Imelda asked him not to. Susana calls and Julieta cannot believe that she would call her this late at home. It is her family time. Robert tries to get her to answer. It could be something important. Julieta accuses him of being Susana's lawyer. Robert cannot believe Susana is that bad. Julieta finally answers. Susana is going over everything for tomorrow's shoot and they have coffee but no cookies. Does Julieta knows somebody who could provide some cookies? Yes, she does but doesn't want to hear about nepotism one more time. Her brother can provide the cookies.

Julieta calls Hugo with the order. He is already in bed with Diana. He tells her that the oven he normally uses isn't working but he has an idea. There will not be a problem. He is happy to have the opportunity to make some extra money. He and Diana will have to do their baking at Catalina's house because she has a bigger oven.

Pancho is awake looking serious until the twins come in looking for his company. Temo is talking to his friend Diego. He doesn't want to cause his dad any more worry by telling him that he is gay. Pancho knocks. Temo hangs up and pretends to be working on his computer as Pancho comes in. He is just there to say goodnight and to and his son for his support. Temo tells Pancho he can always count on him.

Julieta wonders aloud to Robert what it must be like to have Susana's life. She pities the poor people who live with her. Robert asks if she is making fun of the woman. She admits she is a bit. She goes on to ask who would be at the office at this time of night. She answers that it must be a person who has no reason to be at home. Robert changes the topic to the nanny. Julieta says not to worry as she (Yolanda) has really good references from the agency. He'll be able to meet her and ask whatever he wants. He wants to make a deal with with Julieta though. If the nanny does not work out, then his mother will take care of the kids. He explains how much time he lost being with his parents so he wants to spend as much time with them as he can and he wants the same for his children. Julieta readily agrees. That is a pleasant surprise for him.

Ari is doing a live video on the internet trying to sell his father's book. Audifaz thanks him for his help. He just doesn't know why his book is not selling. Ari followed the parts that Audi underlined in his presentation. Ari says it all happens little by little. He now has around 50,000 followers. Audifaz doesn't know why he doesn't take advantage of all of his female fans to get a girlfriend. Ari states he does not have time.

Back at the club, Axel is on the move to Daniela when Clarisa propels herself towards him and into his arms. Oh, no! She did something to her ankle. Of course he helps her out being a doctor and all. Gabriel and Daniela come over to see what is going on but Gabriel says that Clarisa doesn't need any of their help. The "injured ankle" is part of Clarisa's "damsel in distress" technique used to attract men.

Blanca is with Frida and we find out that her mother Marisol is on her way to Japan with Javi. She talks to her a lot but it is not the same. She misses her mother. Blanca says they are going to take advantage of Frida living with her to both be stronger and enjoy each other because sooner of later she will grow up and move out. Eugenio comes in and wonders where his mother went. It is so late and she is out. Blanca knows nothing. He thinks Blanca is hiding something about his mother.

Imelda now is at her shop talking on the phone to Amalia about the business. They have to do something because Crisanta is accomplishing her goals. Amalia and Lázaro break into Crisanta's shop. They cut up some bathing suits and take photos as proof for Imelda. Amalia thinks Imelda has a criminal mind.

At Susana's, Crisanta tells Susana, who has just arrived, that a maid saw Canuto with a suitcase. Maybe he is trying to escape. Susana just laughs. What would be the reason? Susana already talked to him and thinks he is just not adapting to being here in Oaxaca. Crisanta is also worried when she finds out that she will be working on Saturday. Susana feels she does not have a choice she has a family and has to support them. Crisanta knows she will never get the time back with her family that she is missing. What if she regrets it?

Back at the club, Clarisa is making out with Axel. Gabriel, Daniela and Casandra decide to leave her behind.

Hugo has gone to Catalina's to bake his cookies. Catalina is not happy she has to move all of her magical herbs out of the way so he can work in the. Hugo doesn't get it. She didn't want to see him move out and now she is complaining that he is back. Diana comes into the kitchen to check if the cookie dough is ready yet. When Diana and Hugo are out of the kitchen, Catalina accidentally spills one of he herb jars on the dough. She removes what she can and desperately mixes the rest into the dough itself. She tells nobody.

Eugenio is moaning to Blanca again about her not wanting to sleep in the same bed. He then wonders what life would have been like if his dad had been there. He looks at his little red toy car. He has a bad case of the "what if's?" Blanca tries to console him. Imelda come in. She notices that Blanca looks like she was crying. Blanca explains how she was just thinking about "What if . . . " Imelda is tired. She is not talking to anyone right now.

Julieta has the instructions for the nanny written out and contact numbers for both her and Robert. She gives it to Yolanda. Susana calls. She wants to know where Julieta is. Julieta apologizes and says she is just about to leave.

Hugo is all set up and ready to serve with his "Tornado" cookies out on the table with the coffee. The photo shoot is being held outside. Susana grabs a cookie and starts to eat it. Diana and Hugo assure Susana that their cookie service will be fine with just the two of them working. Hugo tells her it will all be MARVELOUS. Hugo adds that his cookies have been a success in Oaxaca. Susana readily takes another one. They are addictive. He says it is his secret magical ingredient. Suddenly everyone who is there is eating the cookies.

Robert is trying to calm Dave down. He is crying because he doesn't want to stay with the nanny. Julieta and Robert are now both trying to calm Dave down by trying to reason with him. Robert says to try to give the nanny a chance. He cannot stay with his grandmothers because they have things to do. Yes, Sebas can come over and work on his homework. Finally, Yolanda is alone with the children. She tries to approach Dave. He runs and closes himself in his room.

Temo leaves for school with Pancho teasing him about falling in love with a Oaxacan girl friend.

Julieta finally arrives at the photo shoot and sees Hugo. He tells her it has been a success and even her boss likes the cookies. Susana comes over to see Julieta reminding her that she was supposed to be there earlier. Julieta tells her no worries because they have done it this way for years. Her employees get things started and the she arrives. Susana prefers to have everybody there at the same time. Julieta trusts her team. Julieta reminds Susana that she does have a life with a family apart from the business. Susana considers it fortunate that her brother was there on time. Susana wants to get the photo shoot rolling. Julieta turns down a cookie and goes to work.

Temo is at the park watching Ari from afar doing his live internet show. They finally sit down to chat. They both feel that their families really do not know them.

At dance class, Amalia is nervous. Enzo notices she is nervous. She tells Blanca and Polita that she is going to get arrested. Blanca wants to know what she did. Amalia blames it on her mother-in-law Imelda. Polita asks why all of the bad feelings? Amalia blames the competition. Blanca doesn't understand how Amalia could do such a thing. Even Frida would know better.

Imelda barely makes it into her store when Crisanta comes out of hers proclaiming that a that a crime has been committed. She has the destroyed bathing suits. She tells her assistant she knows where the attack came from. It was that blonde criminal next door! The assistant offers to call the police. Crisanta says no. She is going to get the blonde criminal where it will hurt her the most.

Daniela and Gabriel try to explain to Frida how they can be dating and be married at the same time. Frida has a crush on Temo. Suddenly Gabriel's mood changes. Daniela and Ferida accuse him of being jealous.

Robert and Tavo talk about Robert's patient Gabi. Robert tells Tavo about how the family secret is driving him crazy and the nightmare. Robert is still conflicted about what to do. He is so worried about Julieta's reaction to her boss being a Córcega. Tavo knows how she is. She is capable of up an moving to another country.

The photo shoot goes on with Julieta directing the models. It seems to be going well. Susana is in a good mood and praises all of the employees. Susana is still eating those cookies. . .

Sebas and Dave are in Dave's room where he poisons Dave's mind against the nanny. Sebas tells him if he gets along with the nanny, his parents will have no reason to take care of him anymore. Sebas says that's how he got his grandmother to take care of him. If Dave will trust him, he has a plan to get rid of his nanny for good. David smiles. First of all, they are going to ignore her. When she brings in some sandwiches, Sebas tells her that they don't like her sandwiches. They are disgusting. David says he doesn't want her there. Julieta calls and asks Yolanda how it is going. Yolanda says just fine. Julieta feels much better. Dave asks Yolanda to help with his homework while Sebas sneaks out to the laundry room. He is up to no good.

Audifaz tries to sell his book outside of the dance class while Amalia imagines herself in jail.

Blanca writes in her journal how she hates being part of Imelda's lie. Eugenio has a right to the truth but she promised Roberto. How could have Imelda done this? Taken her sons' father away from them? She does not know how much longer she can keep the truth from Eugenio.

Eugenio pops by to see Robert at work as he goes to work with Axel. He is worried about Blanca still sleeping elsewhere. Robert tells him they both need their rest so it is for the best. Yes, Robert will be over with his family tomorrow. As he leaves, Robert turns around and Canuto is there standing in front of him. Canuto explains that he has an appointment with the diabetes specialist. Right now, he is on his way to say "hi" to Axel. Robert tells him that Axel is tending to Eugenio his son.

Catalina and her herbs and the cookies and Susana .There cannot be good end with this set up. I do not even want to imagine what that might be.

Hmmm . . Robert has Julieta agreeing to let his mother take care of the kids if the nanny does not work out. I wonder if that will come to pass if Sebas’s setup of Yolanda works. She probably agreed to it because she is so sure that Yolanda will work out.,

Did I say what a brat Sebas is yet and how he needs to be in Africa with his daddy dearest ? Probably one too many times already. ; )

I wonder what Crisanta has in store for Imelda.

Jarifa, thanks once again for another great recap. If you were concerned about having too much free time on your hands, problem solved! :-)

Axel is supposed to be hot? I don't see it, but OK.

I've always had a thing for Clarissa, but I have to admit that Cassandra is looking really good lately.

Hugo is still making commercial quantities of cookies in his home oven... which is right now not working. OK.

There must be one heck of a markup on these cookies :-)

Magical herbs? Anything like magical mushrooms??? :-)

Uh, oh.

Andy

Andy, you make me laugh with “magical mushrooms.” It should be interesting. Catalina is just something else, isn’t she? When Hugo said that his regular oven wasn’t working, he referred to it being at some sort of center; a commercial kitchen I would imagine.

Time to make some coffee.

Wow...another jam-packed dramatic episode. Thanks Jarifa. Don't know how you manage but you are knocking out full recaps, one after another. I want some of Catalina's magical herbs if they can transform cranky Susana into a more livable person. I've had a serious case of crankiness lately plus hives! so am feeling both ugly and crotchety. Need cookies STAT!

Another home run Jarifa!

Your title? Side bar worthy.

"He has a bad case of the "what if's?" Geez, don't we all! :)

“Julieta readily agrees. That is a pleasant surprise for him”. And a shock for me!

I don't know what is in the cookies but I tend toward your "magical mushrooms" Andy! And agree Judy, unless toxic, I'm pretty much in favor of anything that will wipe that frown from Susana's face.

Hiding things is never a good idea.Hiding anything from Julieta? Recipe for disaster.

Truth? I don't think Axel is hot either. And the looks he was giving Dani were rude, given Gab was right there by her side. Kiss the one you're with.

Just outstanding Jarifa.

Thank you for all your efforts and time.

Diana

Thank you for your recap, Jarifa. I will get to watch this at lunch time.

Axel does nothing for me. Maybe he appeals to the younger generation?

I've never been a fan of Amalia, but blaming Imelda for what she (Amalia) did to Cris's inventory really used up the last ounce of caring. How juvenile can someone be? Amalia is a grown adult who made a conscious decision to comply to commit a crime. Ya basta!

Jarifa, thank you. I don't know how you are managing to do this day after day, but I surely appreciate your time and effort.

Add me to the the list of females who find Axelrod just..meh.

Judyb, so sorry that you are feeling with hives. In high school , I broke out with a case of gives after decorating
For the Winter Wonderland with evergreen branches.

What is in those 🍪🍪🍪cookies ? Maybe I need obesity my coffee.☕

Sorry for all the mistake s...autocorrect hates me this morning.

Thanks, Jarifa, for another of your masterful recaps!

Jarifa, "Robert has Julieta agreeing to let his mother take care of the kids if the nanny does not work out...She probably agreed to it because she is so sure that Yolanda will work out." I was really surprised that she agreed so quickly with nary a wince or grimace. You're probably right, though; she is quite confident that Yolanda will work out. I don;t think seh ever even suspected tha David would react so adversely.

Andy, "Axel is supposed to be hot? I don't see it, but OK." I'm at the "Axel not that hot" table.

Diana, "Hiding things is never a good idea.Hiding anything from Julieta? Recipe for disaster." Very true, but I'm glad Robert told her about the secret he swore no to tell. At least, Julieta has been somewhat forewarned that he is keeping something from her.

Doris, "...blaming Imelda for what she (Amalia) did to Cris's inventory really used up the last ounce of caring. How juvenile can someone be?" Quite the juvenile, isn't she, not to mention a pushover, but then so is Lazaro for going along with what Imelda told them to do.

SusanLynn, "What is in those 🍪🍪🍪cookies ?" I was wondering the same thing. Actually I was expecting everyone to get tipsy, but mellowing Susana worked for me too. Interesting that Julieta didn't have any cookies and she was quite pleasant throughout this episode. I kept wondering if maybe she had been reading our comments...teeheehee

The Pancho storyline is interesting, but the man's laugh irks me and hurts my ears!

SusanLynn, yes, I'm still watching Hallmark; and once in while I'll tune in to see those Landolocks :-)

Robert is a doctor..Yet he rides his bike with NO helmet!! I keep expecting to see him don one before leaving for work. I’ll wear the BEANIE, instead,

Thanks for all of your kind comments. I could not do this without Cynthia.

JudyB, hives are the worst.

Diana, Yes, hiding secrets from Julieta could be a disaster. Robert better step carefully.

doris, it seems like Amalia never grew up. She׳s on my “list” with Sebas and Axel. The “list” is growing daily. 🤔

Susanlynn, Axel doesn’t do anything for me. I find him to be arrogant. If he and his bratty bro could both go to Africa and give Susana some peace . . .

RgvChick, I expect the child care situation to blow up in Julieta’s face. Just guessing. I wonder if she will try to weasel her way out of the agreement.

As for Hallmark, I binge watched a Lifetime Movie Club frreview a few weekends back, does that count? ; )

Good thing Julie's been controlling herself a bit. That behavior was so unbecoming. Her snarky remarks to Susana and people she dislikes are also unbecoming. She's immature.

If Julie doesn't like having a boss how the heck did she get the vice president role of whatever she is? With that snarky attitude, her hysterics, confrontational nature when questioned and the "violence" (throwing stuff around the office when venting), it's a wonder how she was ever promoted.

Funny that Julie's not listening to Dave's wants and is just doing what she feels is necessary for him. Like when Susie was putting order in the office with her.

OT.....Chickie, "LAndolocks" ha..love it. It took me a second to figure that one out. He has started a new role as a judge on the Bold and the Beautiful ...no more landolocks....now his look is short, thick gray hair and glasses...still muy guaypo.

Pouring here right now.

After watching the episode over lunch, could Valerian be what is in the cookies? Susana was uncharacteristically laid back. ;-)

doris, Valerian is a good choice. That is what Luigi was always screaming for in La fea más bella to calm him down.

Thanks Jarifa! Sorry I've been MIA lately, but last week I took off on a trip to go to a conference and was busy for several days. I did get to watch Thursday and had to watch Friday's episode online. Got home late last night, so finally got to watch most of this.

I am wondering if this "herb" concoction that spilled into the cookie dough is going to affect anything. But Susana sure was in a good mood, that's for sure.

Robert needs to tell Julieta the truth even though his abuela told him not to. He owes it to his wife first.
