Mi Marido Tiene Más Familia, Capítulo 12, Thursday September 27, 2018; The truth just keeps showing up!

At the Cooper home, Julieta has a heart to heart talk with David, telling him she was so afraid that she was going to lose him. She tells him how much she loves him. and asks his forgiveness for not being around as much as she used to but work is taking up a lot of time lately.

Susana is putting Seb to bed and she also asks his forgiveness for not being around for him because she has not been feeling well from her stomach. She tells him if anything would have happened to him, she would never forgive herself. He asks “why” and she says because she loves him and she tried to give him a kiss, but he pulled back. She tells him she is going to school with him to see his science project at the science fair and wants to know if there is anything she can do for him. He says, “Yes, leave the light on when you leave.”
Pancho is helping his twins with their science project. It is obvious how much they love him.

Blanca says goodnight to Eugenio and they sleep in separate rooms. She says she has a big day and needs sleep. But she does kiss him before going to bed.

Dani catches Gabe sleepwalking again, but this time he thinks he has a baby in his arms. Then he says he wants children! Dani is aghast!

Robert tells Julieta that no one can take better care of their children than one who loves them.

Next day, Canuto arrives at the Córsega home for breakfast. In the bakery, Eugenio offers him the pan de frijol. It’s delicious! Inside the apartment, Canuto notices a little red hot wheels car and asks Eugenio if that is his. Eugenio told him that the neighbor boy gave it to him. At the table, Eugenio playfully rolls the car over to Canuto and he picks it up smiling.

During breakfast, Imelda does not join them, but is lurking in the hallway. While talking, food falls on Canuto and he says he is going to the bathroom to clean it off. But he sees Imelda in the hallway and she angrily gets on his case.

Robert, Julieta, and David arrive at the school. Susana and Julieta finally realize they are the mothers of their respective son’s friend. Neither of them imagined that fact.

At Dani and Gable’s place, Dani is having trouble making eggs. So they have cereal. Later when driving through town, she tells him while he was sleepwalking he said he wanted to have a child. But she also said that she does not want to have children.

In the schoolyard, Julieta and Robert continue talking about how surprised she is to find out that Susana is Seb’s mother. Diana comes to talk to them and Julieta asks her if she knew. But Diana said she didn’t know and that the only one she knew was the grandmother. But here comes Susana and now Susana finds out that Hugo’s wife (whom she is bringing charges against) is Seb’s teacher. Susana continues with her offensive behavior and walks away.

At school, the students all get their science projects out and each is given the chance to demonstrate their own. Seb and David have a volcano they worked on together. Susana makes the observation that their sons make a good team.

After breakfast at the Córsega’s the men escort Canuto out. Imelda comes and complains about it because she doesn’t like people she doesn’t know coming over.

All the kids demonstrate their respective projects. Ari has a robot to show off.

The winner of the science fair is announced. It’s the Lopez twins, Julio and Lupita! Seb is very upset about it and starts an argument about it. The two boys start to fight. Then Susana and Pancho lay eyes on each other and seem to be very glad to see each other. [Who knew she could actually have a friend who liked her personality?]

Blanca and Eugenio get back to work on the bakery and Eugenio is happily whistling.

After the science fair, Julieta knows that something is up with Robert and knows he is keeping something from her.

Diana the teacher meets with Susana and Pancho with the children about the fighting incident. She relates to Susana that if this fighting happened again, Seb would be expelled. Susana has Seb apologize to Julio Lopez.

Susana and Pancho walk out of the school yard and realize they haven’t seen each other in five years. She tells him she is there for a new job a Cklass. She asks about his wife Rebeca and Pancho gets sad and says she is no longer with them. They plan to go have coffee later.

Blanca sees Imelda taking some strong pills and Imelda decides to tell Blanca the truth about the fact she lied all these years. She finally tells Blanca the whole story about how Canuto fell in love with another woman. So she “murdered him” then made him leave and told him to never come see their sons again.

Robert finally tells Julieta that Canuto is his grandfather and Susana is his aunt. This means Susana is her aunt-in-law now. Julieta is not happy to hear this—that Susana really is a Córsega from their family. She is also upset with Robert for not telling her sooner. He tries to make her understand that his grandmother made him swear he would tell no one. He also tells her that Susana knows nothing about this and she promises to tell no one. The new nanny arrives to take care of the children. Julieta tells Robert they are not done with their conversation. Then Julieta leaves for work.

Keeping it short and sweet tonight. Feel free to discuss any of the other details you think are important. Just tried to cover all the high points.

Thanks, Cynthia, this is great. I love the title. It sure seems like the truth is an inconvenience for one too many at this point.

There were plenty of “ uh oh’s” last night but this one took the cake: It looks like the children/no children conversation was one that Daniela and Gabriel never had before they got married. Really?

At least Blanca and Julieta were told the truth about Canuto. How how long until Imelda deigns to tell the truth to those who really deserve to know: her sons? Imelda is quite stubborn and frustrating.

The Susana/Pancho relationship should prove to be interesting. It will be good to see these characters developed beyond their relationship with the Córcega’s.

Thank you, Cynthia.

Uhoh...Blanca and Eugenio aren't sleeping together.

What a tangled web with all these people intertwined.

Do we know if Pablo's wife is dead or if she abandoned her family?

Have a good day all. Rained all last night here.

Susanlynn, no, we do not know what happened to Pancho’s wife exactly except she’s not there with them.

We are getting rain today. I was getting spoiled with the perfect weather of the last couple of days.

Thank you for your recap, Cynthia!

Imelda just keeps digging her hole bigger and bigger.

So Gabe and Dani never discussed children before marrying? Yikes.

Thanks, Cynthia! Short and sweet, but mostly sweet and well done.

Oh, no! Not another erupting baking soda volcano :-)

Wow! Dani and Gabriel are having problems, Robert and Julieta, even Blanca and Eugenio. BTW, it was funny the way Eugenio got happy thinking Blanca had changed her mind and was going to sleep with him. Then just got a goodnight kiss.

The only relationship looking promising at this point is Susana (!) and Pancho, because it looked like Susana wanted to start something. And the two of them are dancing in the credits roll -- with Susana actually smiling! She looks so much better smiling.

Thanks so much Cynthia! I'm always a day behind watching the episode.

Wow Pancho and Susana would make an interesting couple! But she doesn't have time for her son, let alone time to date.

I feel like Dani's first response to anything is "no". I doubt she has really thought thru the whole kids thing. She pushes away at anything conventional but they both miss having Frida.

I watched Wednesdays episode last night and I am even more clueless to Axel's attraction. Gabi had it all over him in the shirtless department, and that is even with Gabi not being as buff this season as last. Oh and the Canuto redemption starts by saving Dave! ugh

So now Juli knows the truth. Can't be long now until the sons know. I dread what is coming for them. Basically, their whole lives have been a lie when it comes to their family. Their perception of their mother is going to be completely turned upside down and how to deal with a father who has been absent for almost 60 years? I don't think it will do anyone any good for the truth to come out now.

Cynthia: I will have to read this later but your screen shot brought a lump to my throat.

Very touching.

Looking forward to reading what you have to say...

Diana

Thanks, Cynthia! Loved the screenshots, but that first one is priceless!

I know Canuto was completely wrong in not fighting to at least remain in his son's lives, but he is starting to win me over. Just goes to show that it's never too late to make amends, though the road to redemption will be long and hard for both him and Imelda.

Interesting that Susana already knew Pancho. For some reason, I think Pancho's wife must have left him...I don't think she is dead.

I think there are lots of things Dani and Gabe never discussed before getting married. Come to think of it, they didn't date for very long...and they were always at odds even then.

So far the plot lines revolve around--

- Julieta dealing with more of Robert's family.
- "My Three Sons" finding out their father is alive.
- Dani and Gabe adjusting to married life
- Pancho and his mysterious past
- Susana's poor relationship with her sons
- Ari and Temo

Cynthia, this was excellent. Marvelous screen shots!

"Dani is aghast!" had me smiling.

"He says, “Yes, leave the light on when you leave.” Frigid.

I respect everyone’s opinion, but opinions vary. It’s so very easy for Canuto to waltz in, decades after his children struggled with adolescence, relationships, trials and tribulations. How easy to reap the benefits of what has been sown. By Imelda. However one might feel about Imelda (and her righteousness grates on me and also feel she is stubborn Jarifa), she has been both mother and father so I understand her anger. Her frustration.

I think Gabe is totally faking the sleepwalking. He's trying to keep things interesting. His talking about the "baby" fed into that. I don't doubt for a moment that Gabe and Dani didn't discuss children. Totally agree this was one topic avoided among many Rgv Chick.

I am Susana (the person, not the character's) biggest cheerleader, but...Pancho?? I don't want to judge prematurely but I'm not impressed. Still don't know what his kids did to win the contest but got a kick out of "Oh, no! Not another erupting baking soda volcano" too Andy.

We've seen too many parents walking away from their children recently and I hope that wasn't the case with Pancho's wife. You can leave your partner but children need not be collateral damage.

Thank you!

Diana

Diana, Canuto still grates on me, too, because it all goes back to HIM cheating on Imelda in the first place and not seeking a divorce before marrying Crisanta and forming another family. Now he wants to blow up everyone’s lives because HE wants to make amends and he expects Imelda to be the bigger person and go along with it. He only thinks of himself. If Crisanta finds out I hope she kicks him to the curb.

"...it all goes back to HIM cheating on Imelda in the first place and not seeking a divorce before marrying Crisanta and forming another family. Now he wants to blow up everyone’s lives because HE wants to make amends and he expects Imelda to be the bigger person and go along with it. He only thinks of himself".

Exactly Jarifa. Thank you for explaining that so eloquently.

Diana

So is he not legally married to Crisanta? I just assumed when Imelda kicked him to the curb, they got divorced. But we don't know if Crisanta is who he cheated on Imelda with. We only know he ended up with her. He could have been cheating all around right?

There is no excuse for being absent from your kids for 58 years. They are old men now. They could have died during those intervening years and he never would have known and he didn't care to know. I just can't forgive. This plot is going to drive me bsc! I've got to let it go and stop venting. Sorry patio for my venting!

I never have heard Imelda mention anything about a divorce. I just know that she threw him out and told him not to come back around. If they did get a divorce it has not been mentioned.

Does anyone know if divorce was available in Mexico in 1960s? I thought that for many years Mexicans were not allowed to get a divorce. It seems to me that I remember that divorce was not an option for couples who wanted to split up.

Thanks, Cynthia. Ditto what Diana said about the black & white photo. Gulp. How could a father run out on those three boys?

Guesses about Pancho's wife (who's his second wife, the first one died young): in witness protection? Left for another man? Out somewhere unknown with amnesia?

They're rewriting history because I remember Gabe in Mi Marido happily talking about having ositos.

Thanks for all your comments! I'm glad I could capture that photo.

Falco

I'm back!

first hour, Falco finally got some sleep, (the bad guy's gas), but I don't think it helped.

second hour, nice intro reminding us of the Falco story.

please don't hurt the Falcomobile (as Kat calls it), too late.

adios skinny doll and chubby bunny (as they called each other in the english captions).

Tenoch, so sad, so sad, so sad.

Eva Salomón, one of the most unique novela characters I have ever met, she referred to Falco and Tenoch, as her friends.

sorry,

my comment was meant for the telemundo page, please delete.
