Mi Marido Tiene Más Familia, Captitulo 6, Tuesday September 18, 2018; “Truth be Told” or “You are my Grandpa!”
Canuto arrives at Robert’s office and Robert asks him to sit down. Robert says, “At this moment, we are not going to discuss your medical tests. I have to ask you some questions.” Canuto says, “What questions?” Robert then says, “Why did you lie to me? You told me your name was Tito Cruz, but now I find out you are Canuto Córsega. You ARE my grandfather!”

And oh my! looks like there's no winning with Susana. Not just the Mom from Hell but the Boss from Hell. Presumably she envies Julieta for her seemingly perfect family life and work life, so unlike her own, and is sabotaging it deliberately to see if she can make Julieta fall apart. Not a good way to start a family relationship!
Well this promises to be lively every episode. Thanks so much Cynthia.
I am surprised but pleased at least one truth has been told. The only saving grace is that the "children" are now adults and should be far better mentally equipped to deal with the fall out. That said, I think children are far more forgiving and this is just going to be one huge mess.
"Axel says, “Don’t you think things are getting out of control?” What an understatement!
"Canuto has risen from the grave for one Corsega family anyway" - so true Judy!!
“Then Crisanta says, “Don’t you want to ask your husband?” Julieta just looks at her and says, “What?” “Never mind” says Crisanta” made me smile. New meaning to generation gap.
Dani needs to stick to her creative roots. I enjoy though that she and Gabi have dissimilar talents, yet totally complimentary.
"Gabe is not thrilled about that because he knows that “Can we talk” is always bad". Yup, page 4 of the husband’s handbook.
What is with Audi's two tiny ponytails?? So distracting and just not attractive.
I thought Susana might be turning a corner but her insistence that Julieta redo the project says otherwise. So much anger and resentment! Give Julieta credit - she was "on" to her from the beginning and is very intuitive. Her hunch that Susana is a relative was spot on!
And Robert. Going from Robert Cooper with a loving family and brother to a new identity and a sprawling, ever increasing family. What a ride this has been for him.
I liked Blanca's quiet concern for Pancho. If only she would smile more.
Well, I'm smiling Cynthia. This was great - thank you.
Diana
Diana, there is something about Audifaz that just screams “old hippie” to me. The two ponytails were just two too many. I, also, liked Blanca’s “quiet concern” for Pancho. He is quickly becoming one of my favorites. Blanca has always been.
I loved Robert looking at both family trees and seeing the same Canuto face looking back at him.
There is a “Dorian” in every classroom, isn’t there?
Thank you, Cynthia, for the excellent recap and screencaps.
Is the dance instructor the guy who won a dance competition years shining Uni and called himself Latin Lover?
This show is a refreshing change from all the darkness and death in Bella.
The Imelda-Canuto-Casanta triangle shows us that decisions we make when we are young sometimes haunt us later in life.
It appears in that the wardrobe department has decided to demonstrate Susana's rigidness by putting her in those super tight sheath dresses. It looks as though they have one pattern and have made a closetful of dresses in different fabrics . My mother made me many of that style of dress...but not that fitted.😊 Well, Susana rocks the style. ...which is kind of Jackie Kennedy.
Have a good day. No rain here today and going up to 80. Bye for now..I am off to hear oral presentations.
It is 80 here today. Nice break.
Time to put on a pot of coffee and get out of here.
"...the wardrobe department has decided to demonstrate Susana's rigidness by putting her in those super tight sheath dresses. It looks as though they have one pattern and have made a closetful of dresses in different fabrics". Great observation Susanlynn. That style is so tight and unflattering - Susana is one of the few that could pull that "luke" off.
Diana
Star Wars flashback! "Luke, I am your father." Wow, the writers did not let that secret hang around too long, but then very few do in this story.
Susanlynn - Good observation on Susana's dresses. Skin tight, no ease, no real room to move around, just like her mental state.
Telenovela wardrobe & set design departments always make statements with the garments any character wears. Even hair gets changed with new 'etapas' of a protagonist. After a while, I start noticing the art (on walls & sculptures) and other things by the set design department. It is all planned very well.
Yep Susanna looks fab in those form fitting dresses. I like that the fabric is such that she doesn't have to pull at them when she stands up.
Hard to be sympathetic to Canuto, but he does seem to be a good dad to his second family. But such a weakling to only seek out family no 1 because his daughter got a new job in their town. Maybe over the years he secretly spied to see how his boys were doing?
JudyB, "Boss from hell" is spot on, but as Diana said, "Give Julieta credit - she was "on" to her from the beginning and is very intuitive." Susana didn't fool Julieta at all. I just hopeo that Julieta doesn't let her get her down again.
I was expecting the big reveal about Canuto, but didn't anticipate him finding out the way he did. Kudos to the writers!
SusanLynn, on the wardrobe: "Susana rocks the style. ...which is kind of Jackie Kennedy." Yes, she does...and I always loved seeing what Jackie wore!
It's a small thing but I enjoyed seeing Canuto admit to Alex that he had spoken to Imelda, at his own tomb.
But I do find it hard to believe that Canuto, a decent guy, could go all those years not knowing anything of his first family... who had married, who had died, who had children, etc. Just hard to believe.

I have no idea why a man would just stay away from his family. Maybe Imelda threatened him with poisoning their sons' minds against him if he ever came around. I could see her being so bitter that she could have come up with a number of threats to keep him away. Maybe she had "connections" (as in big strong male relatives) that she told him she would send after him if he ever showed his face again.
We shall see on Thursday!
What a brilliant artist God is!!

Get off I'm beat. But yall look like y'all r Havin fun with these people's shannagans. The Funny secrets and the mysteries already.
Oh and pretty flower To Ms Chick. Look at you gettin all professional with the camara. SnapSnap. :-)
The look on Robert's face when he realized the truth while talking to Sebs, and pulling at his collar, I couldn't help but laugh. He knows what is coming down the pike with Juli! HA!
Men don't have to be "bad" to leave their children, just lazy and cowardly. My father isn't a bad man per se and he had a little regret but it didn't stop him from abandoning toddlers for 20+ years.
Susana is like a woman I used to work with. She had an awful family life and took it out on her employees, always angry and controlling. Susana's problem is that she blames work for being an absent mother and thinks that if Juli can have it all then that means she could have had it too. Thus, she did something wrong. She can't admit that to herself yet so she has to make Juli lose it all too.
I think Canuto coming back into the lives of his children will do more harm than good. I actually think he should stay away at this point. After 58 years there are no excuses. I fear he gives Eugenio a hard attack.
Carvivle, your comments were right on the money. My best friend's father was abusive , and her mother left with her and her three younger brothers . They really struggled , and my friend never saw her father again. Very sad. My grandmother left my dad's father when my dad when he was very young. My dad wanted nothing to do with his father, but I never figured out if my grandmother kept my grandfather away or if he stayed away. . I also know someone whose father left when he was a baby and never came back. When he finally researched him, he discovered that he went on to have another family .No chance to meet him because he had died. Unfortunately, there are many true stories of fathers alienated from their children.
Nina, congratulations on your new job! I hope you can stop by - you always have the best comments and make me laugh.

I know stuff like that happen in real life but it make great movies.(mom or dad abandoning the children). Real life or movies, it sucks.
Maybe there's an interesting behind why he left. And then there's their just lousy parents.
