Gran Final Update:
1.) Shootout between El Capo & his Crew vs. The Casilas Family & El Chema & his Crew.
2.) Colon gets whacked in the head. Could former President BPN shot him. ?
3.) Navarro, Nora, Ojeda, Castillo & DEA arrest El Capo's Backup.
I don't have time to write a full recap, but here are some of the events that occurred in tonight's episode. I hope people will flesh this out and add other events.
Diego tries to enter Babel. He's told the only way he can enter is to wait a while and then buy a ticket, like everyone else. A short time later, when he asks about Babel, he's told that it has dancing and high-class prostitution.
As part of José's plan to kill Eliseo, someone tries to shoot him, but Salas arrives in the nick of time and shoots the would-be assassin instead. The guy's blood spills on Eliseo's face. Eliseo isn't hurt. José gets away and drives off.
Diego returns to Babel and is told an entry ticket costs 1500 pesos. He claims he left his wallet in the car and will be back. Instead, he finds a way to sneak in.
One of the dancers faints, and Jim tells "Camila" that she has to take the other girl's place. She's very nervous, but she does a good job. However, Diego sees her and she sees him. (Idon't know how she sees him with all the lights pointing to the stage, but....)
Fernanda tells Eliseo that he has to stop campaigning to be governor. Nothing is worth his getting killed. Augusto, however, says that Eliseo must continue his campaign. If he stops now, people will think he's afraid, and his political career will be ruiined. (Of course, Augusto isn't worried so much about Eliseo; he's concerned because he knows Gavino wants Eliseo to become governor, thinking it will serve his (Gavino's) purposes.)
Gavino calls José to summon him to a meeting. Circe answers José's cell and tells Gavino that he has interrupted them. After she hangs up, she tells José that if anyone asks where he was when the attempt was made on Eliseo's life, he should say that he and she were getting it on.
José goes to the meeting and volunteers to be in charge of finding out who among Gavino's men may be the traitor who tried to kill Eliseo.
Diego tells Isa that she's not going to go back to Babel. Isa insists that she will. Jim comes along, and he and Diego growl at each other. Later, Jim asks Marlene about "Camila" and her marriage. Marlene asks whether perhaps Jim is attracted to Camila. Could be, replies Jim.
Salas remembers seeing José at the restaurant before the attempt on Eliseo's life.
Ramona summons Lourdes to her office, where two guys grab her and drag her away. Ramona tells Lourdes she has sold her. Next time perhaps she'll appreciate what she had. Lourdes pleads with Ramona and with the guys, to no avail. Marlene overhears and sees the guys drag Lourdes off.
Back at their place, Isa and Diego continue to argue. Diego tells her he mistakenly thought she was a good woman. She claims she is, but that it's really none of his business, since they're not married. He says something about her not understanding. He grabs her and kisses her forcefully. This kiss continues, and finally it seems as if both of them are responding.
Thank you for the recap Juanita
How long before Gavino finds out it was Joselita behind the mayor's attack?
Salas might talk about it with Augusto present, hellh over hear then tell Gavino. I remember Salas clearly saying that it was Gavino's right hand man behind the attack.
So, what's Marlene going to do now? Confront Ramona or just do an investigation of her own first?
Wow, "Camila & Emiliano" I was not expecting the kiss so soon.
Poor Amanda.
thanks so much Juanita!
interesting, that while Diego waits for the club to open he goes to the bar across the street and begins asking questions, but no body has ever been there, it's for rich people.
hmm, for a guy who is always broke, he always seems to have just enough money, Diego sneaks inside and runs into Lourdes, and starts quizzing her about Camilla, well, this sells her down the river.
he then orders a beer, they don't sell beer.
and his confrontation with Camilla, as a husband who has not given her his permission, leaves Jim thinking he is an abuser, hmm, when Jim later quizzes Marlene, she is vague but says Camilla's marriage has no future.
that Salas sure is a do everything right guy, what's he doing in a novela?
Augusto let's Gavino know there was a second guy, Gavino wants the gun that he used to kill the DA, Augusto gets Fernanda to spill and they go out in the garden at night and dig holes, obviously not where she buried it, what is this all about?
Amanda is not happy about how her dad is acting and how they talk about her mom, she sneaks his keys when he is asleep but Mateo catches her, Porfirio locks her in her room.
Salas has recognized Jose at the restaurant as the second guy and Eliseo remembers Circe's threatening call, they decide to keep it quiet until they have a plan.
obviously Isa parading around half naked in the club show has Diego HOT.
Here's the full latest on the Gran Final of Season 6:
1.) Shootout ensued between the Casillas Family (along with El Chema & his Thugs) vs. El Capo & his Thugs.
2.) Several of El Capo's bodyguards get shot to death as El Capo BARELY got out of his residence.
3.) Later, El Capo & Co., are taking $$$ out to their SUV before another ambush ensues by the Casillas Family & Alliance.... another shootout occurs.
4.) Over at DEA: Navarro, Nora, Colon & Castillo & Co., get alerted by a mysterious caller about an incident over at the Secret Warehouse.
5.) Ojeda shows up at DEA HQ in the DF, which annoys Navarro. The Female TV News Anchor has to stay put because of the threats to her safety.
6.) Earlier in the Gran Final over at the National Palace (Government Office), Castillo & the Female TV News Anchor realized that BPN escaped (with likely assistance from Daddy Rosales (who's the President) & Jaime), this development infuriates Castillo because he got outfoxed AGAIN.
7.) Castillo & the Female TV News Anchor then inform Navarro, Nora & Colon that BPN escaped & likely fled Mexico to an unknown destination to avoid persecution (sounds like BPN pulled a Carlos Salinas in fleeting the country to avoid getting arrested).
8.) Meanwhile over at the Secret Warehouse: during the 2nd shoot-out, Nora, Navarro, Colon, Castillo, Ojeda & Co., arrived to see what's going on.... then all of a sudden, El Capo pulls a rocket launcher in ambushing them.... whacking Nora, who hits the SUV, which explodes.
9.) El Capo's Backup Crew get arrested by Ojeda, Castillo, Colon, Navarro & Co.,
10.) Navarro points his gun at Corina, Amado & Co., then Colon tells Navarro & the others to putting their guns down.... before a mysterious person shoots Colon in the head killing him.
11.) Corina, Amado & Co., leave the chaos, Castillo devastated that Colon died while Ojeda gives the cold stare (sounds like he's going to be a major player in Season 7).
12.) Fast forward several months later: Navarro is running DEA HQ with Ojeda working for them, looks like they're planning to take down the remaining members of the Casillas Family & most likely Corina as well.
13.) Casasola gets whacked in broad daylight while enjoying lunch with the Venezuelan Ambassador at the restaurant by the hired guns of Valdes (who got his revenge on Casasola for betraying the Castro Dictatorship).
14.) Ambar & El Chema have sex.
15.) Evelina is reunited with her Daddy: El Rayo. She gives birth to her baby boy & is enjoying fun with him until her entire Body Language changes when El Capo & Co., show up.
Witchcraft Chick also gave birth to El Capo's 2nd kid.
16.) Super Javi & Ritula & El Rojo & Melina have their Happy Ending: interesting to see if they have kids in Season 7.
Plus Amado, Super Javi, Diana & Co., form an alliance with Quezada in Colombia.
17.) Dona Alba, Corina, The Hot Female Nurse, Ismael, Ritula, Amado, Diana, Melina & Co., watch as Daddy Casillas regains consciousness. Then Computer Hacker Dude realizes the DEA has arrived at the Casilas Compound: the Casillas Family *along with Daddy Casillas) escape underground to another location to avoid getting arrested.
18.) Amado then surrenders himself to Castillo, Ojeda & Navarro & DEA., but not before he tells Castillo that only he'll be prosecuted in Mexico. Diana & Amado (before DEA & Co., arrived) declare they love each other.
Looks like Diana will pull strings to get him released in Season 7.
19.) Jaime is likely running for the Presidency in 2024 & the way he & Berenice were googling the hots for each other., we could be seeing BPN 2.0 & Bizzaro Gaviota 2.0!
20.) BPN (the disgraced former Mexican President) likely fled to either France or Spain or possibly Argentina.
Thanks so much, Juanita! That WAS a recap, and a good one.
I thought Diego's behavior was over the top at the club. Obviously, he's beginning to love/lust after her, but behaving like that in the club seemed ridiculous. The last thing they need is to call attention to themselves. And he should have believed her that all she did was dance in a skimpy costume. Actually, those costumes are not all that skimpy and she can earn a lot of money. I don't see the problem. Except of course, the horrors that happen on the other side of Babel.
I suppose there's no hope for Lourdes. Marlene might confront Ramona; but apparently Lourdes has already been shipped off to some brothel in Tamaulipas where you service men one after another.
My memory is getting fuzzy on me. But didn't Gavino insist that Eliseo has to live? And was José present when he said that? I can't imagine Circe is going to be able to continue to try to force José into killing him. I now have high hopes Eliseo will go the distance.
It's probably too early for José to be killed by Gavino for what he did. But Salas recognizing him as the guy who was hanging out while the guy he paid big bucks to do so tried to kill Eliseo, doesn't look good for him.
That Salas is a real Swiss Army Knife. He seemed like a guy who arranged things (fake passports etc.) but he packs heat as well!
They sure have given Sonya Smith a crappy role. I loved her in Marido en Alquiler. She knuckles under to Augusto, apparently in the past sending Diego off to military school. She tries to treat Eliseo like he's a child, insisting he drop his campaign. And, why the heck do they all live in the same house? Saving money on interior scenes by Telemundo?
Many thanks, Evageline, deb, and novelera, for your appreciative responses and great comments.
Evageline, I agree, as Eliseo's right-hand man, Augusto is going to make life difficult for Diego, Eliseo, and even José.
deb, I loved your comment about Salas: "what's he doing in a telanovela?" As for what happened to the gun, Zoraida saw Augusto hide it, and my guess is that she dug it up. Not sure what she plans to do with it, though.
novelera, since someone had told Diego that Babel has high-class prostitutes, I'm not at all surprised that he doesn't believe Isa, especially since she has lied to him about where she works. I agree, though, that he didn't act in anyone's best interests in his confrontations at Babel. As you say, the last thing he needs is to call attention to himself or Isa. And I loved your description of Salas as a Swiss Army Knife! As for Sonya Smith's role, I'm still hoping that Fernanda will start to have a more important role as the novela progresses. Right now, the role isn't all that interesting and doesn't make use of Smith's many talents.
Juanita, Deb and novelera--everything was captured perfectly. Thank you for the recap.
I guess Amanda has learned the hard way what Zoraida and her mother tried to tell her. I can sort of understand her dilemma. A young 12-year-old's world was totally upset and she's left to "hide" out in some stranger's house with only the aunt of a friend of her mother's to keep her company. She was homesick for her own surroundings. She thought she could handle her dad and he'd never been aggressive to her before.
I'm scared Mateo may try to sell her too, misogynist that he is. For now he's trying to let Porfi--sorry, El Corona, know that locking up his daughter isn't the way to go.
novelera--yes, to all your Gavino questions. Circe will continue to demand satisfaction, though. Joselito is between a Gavino and a Circe. No telling how he will try again if he wants Circe enough. Lucky for him he's the one who will be "investigating" the employees.
I was chilled when Gavino told Jose that if they couldn't find the traitor, to make one up in order to teach the rest a lesson.
Because I had to take the day off from work (major plumbing problems and they give you the two-hour window of arrival time), I will put up a recap tonight. Since I'm shell-shocked by what they have to do for me to be able to take hot showers, we'll see how thorough my recap will be!
I am enjoying the lack of two or three minutes of what happened before.
Isabel breaks away from Diego and tells him this can’t happen again. She thinks he kissed her because he saw her dancing that way. But she’s definitely giddy about the whole thing
Whoever said that Zoraida was the one who dug up the pistol Fernanda buried in the garden was right. Eliseo is rude to Zoraida when she wants to talk with him about Amanda. [I don’t think Eliseo is a bad guy. I think he was born upper class and just has never thought of household employees as having personal problems or issues. Plus he's almost been shot to death, so not in the best mood.]
Marlene remembers seeing Lourdes being dragged into the car by those two guys.
Isabel and Diego have a rather cute argument about her job at Babel. She tells him about the choreography and says what she does is “art”. He grins. [He uses a word he used before, and I looked it up. Said something about dancing bichi. Especially in Northern México this means naked.]
Felipa and Circe are talking about what Circe wants, which is what every “other woman” in telenovelas wants: the man who just isn’t that into her. Felipa throws the tarot again and tells Circe that Diego is not married, nor does he have a child. But there is a woman in his life who is influencing him to change.
Diego tells Isa that all his relationships have been un desmadre (chaotic, all screwed up). He has never believed in love. But then he says that this is before he met her. He asks her: ¿Me gustas? She’s evasive.
Just then Marlene pounds on the door. She has come to tell Isa about Zoraida having called to say that Corona hit Amanda so hard they had to have a doctor come to the house. Isa predictably says she’s leaving right now, in a bus.
Eliseo suggests in an interview that he’d like to have the death penalty for narcos. [It’s completely abolished in Mexico since 2005, and not really used for decades.] This sets Gavino off. Apparently he watches TV all day long. I get a kick out of what he calls Eliseo when he refers to him with Augusto: muñequito de pastel. [He DOES kind of look like the male doll atop most wedding cakes.]
José forces Eliseo’s chauffeur into his SUV.
Diego tells Isa he’d kill Corona himself before letting Isabel do it and go to prison. He makes a decision; they’ll go to Álamos together.
Corona brings some breakfast to Amanda in her room. She refuses it, and also tells him he doesn’t know how to love people.
Diego says they’ll rent a call and get a hotel room on the outskirts of Álamos where no one would recognize them. They’ll drive up, wait for Corona to leave and go in for Amanda. Isa says it’s a long drive for him; she herself can’t drive. He says he’ll drink lots of coffee.
Mateo and Eliseo talk in Eliseo’s office. He mentions that his granddaughter said that Diego was alive. [She stupidly blurted that out to Porfi last week.] Eliseo tries to brazen it out, but Mateo is very shrewd. He says that his son is going to get a lawyer and go before a judge to try to get custody of his kids. Mateo basically hints that it will get out (Diego being alive.). Mateo says his son can be convinced to forget it for, let’s start with 500,000 pesos. ($26,328). Eliseo writes him a check.
Marlene asks Jim to miss a dance rehearsal and Paloma (the jealous perra) starts griping. Jim tells her to shut it.
Diego calls Deivid, who tells him about El Japón trying to kill Eliseo, and that it was not ordered by Gavino.
José kills Eliseo’s chauffeur.
When Zoraida gets into Mateo’s face about Amanda, he smirks that the cops won’t help her, not will his good friend the Municipal President.
Marlene and Isa talk about her feelings for Diego. Isabel says he kissed her and looks very happy about it. Marlene thinks Jim is a better bet.
I enjoyed the scenes with Circe and José this episode. She isn’t happy about the body of the chauffeur (I can’t really tell where they are.) José: “Do you think I like doing this? This life chose me since I was a child. I’ve been smelling dead bodies all these years; and it’s your life too because of whose daughter you are. You wanted to kill the Municipal President, and look what’s here. This guy had a wife and kids and YOU tore him away.” He makes her help put the body into a shallow grave. [I wish he’d made her dig the grave.]
Eliseo is angry with Zoraida, even threatening to fire her. She’s quite calm. “No, you’re going to help me. I’ll give you this in exchange.” And she puts the pistol, wrapped in cloth, on his desk. She tells him that the day the prosecutor was killed she saw Doña Fernanda bury it in the garden. She doesn’t think Fernanda is capable of harming anyone. Maybe she’s protecting Augusto?
Eliseo asks Salas to take the gun to los peritos (forensic experts) and find out if it was used to kill Ramiro. Zoraida isn’t letting him off the hook. He reluctantly says he’ll get someone to start an investigation about Porfirio.
Marlene is going to care for Ricas while they’re gone, but the child is understandably frightened to have them both leave.
Jim brings up Lourdes with Ramona, asking if she left willingly. Ramona snaps back that she left because a dancer scared her off. As soon as he leaves, Ramona calls Gavino to complain about Jim.
Salas tells Eliseo that this was the gun that killed Ramino. There were three sets of fingerprints: a narco, Piochas, Fernanda (because she buried it) and Don Augusto!
José tells Circe there won’t be any more attempts on Eliseo. The spoiled brat says she won’t marry him unless he does it. He grabs her and says he’s done. They’re getting married and that’s it.
Diego and Isa head for Álamos in the rented car.
MANY thanks, novelera, for this wonderfully clear and complete recap. It helped me understand a number of things that I missed, including some of the Spanish you provided.
Ha! For once I got something right! I was the one who said that Zoraida had seen Fernanda hide the gun. I was especially glad that she made it clear to Eliseo that Fernanda wouldn't have used it, but perhaps Fernanda was covering up for Augusto. With any luck, Eliseo will now go back to distrusting Augusto.
I got nervous when Diego assured Isa that it didn't matter that she can't drive, he'll just drink a lot of coffee on the long drive. Do I see a car accident in their future? I hope not.
I'm also worried about Jim. He should never have asked Ramona about Lourdes. I knew that the moment he left, she'd make a phone call.
thanks so much novelera! that was a wonderful recap and very helpful since I was busy last night.
I think it was something like child services that Eliseo was going to have start an investigation on Corona la pequena.
That Tuesday recap was the last one I would be able to do this week. I have things away from home every night. I'll probably be able to watch them, but that's all.
So, if anyone else is up for it, here's your big chance!
I too am surprised Diego and Isa kissed so soon. He was attracted already, so I actually wished he'd made the move before he saw her glittered up and sexy dancing. Oh well...
Glad Joselito made Circe help him clean up.
Goodness, I sure hope Lourdes catches a break.
So Babel charges 1,500 pesos. I looked it up and that's $79.57.
Ha! Novelera. I started to read the recap and didn't recognize it. I was sure I had watched something else. Well, of course, I hadn't watched last night's episode yet. When I did, your words came back to me and I figured out what they were talking about, since the bleeped swear words kept interrupting. A huge thank you.
I won't be in town the rest of the week, or I would gladly have done a turn at the recap office. Maybe next week.
Isa expresses her gratitude to Diego for risking himself to help her. He tells her that her life is going to get better.
Eliseo remembers being told that three persons' fingerprints were on the gun: Piochas, Fernanda, and Augusto. Salas comes in to tell him that other tests revealed the same thing, but that doesn't mean that Augusto killed Ramiro. Eliseo asks Salas to keep a close watch on Augusto. Salas places a listening device in Augusto's car.
Mateo shows Porfirio the check for 500,000 pesos from Eliseo; he tells Porfirio that none of it is for him.
Augusto is summoned to a meeting with Gavino. He drives to the remote location where Gavino and his men are waiting. Gavino gets into Augusto's car. He tells Augusto that now that he's back in Eliseo's confidence, they should take advantage of this. Gavino wants to transport a large amount of mercancía across the border. "How much will you pay me?" Augusto asks. He also assures Gavino that Eliseo won't notice, he's been distracted by the attempt on his life. At the end of the discussion, Augusto tells Gavino that he's been looking for the gun he used to kill Ramiro, but he can't find it. Augusto doesn't realize that, thanks to the hidden microphone in the car, Eliseo and Salas have been listening to and recording this entire conversation.
Jim gets complaints from some of the other dancers, especially from Paloma. She's clearly jealous of Jim's feelings for Camila.
Gavino sends Deivid and Piochas to beat up Jim as a reminder of who is really boss and a warning to pay attention only to his end of the business.
Diego and Isa stop for food in or near Alamos. He buys her a flower, they dance, she laughs at the music he likes. The waitress brings them their food and asks whether Diego is an actor. She says she thinks she saw him on TV. A guy sitting at a nearby table hears her say this, looks at Diego, and makes a call to José, telling him he has seen Diego just now, and where he is.
A social worker comes to interview Amanda. Porfirio is present at the interview and starts trying to supply answers to the social worker's questions. She tells him that she wants Amanda to answer, not him. But clearly, Amanda is afraid of him. When the social worker asks whether there's been violence, Amanda says she doesn't know. When asked whether Porfirio has ever hit her, Amanda says no. The social worker tells Porfirio that he will have to have a psychological evaluation. He's not pleased.
Marlene calls her sister Diana and asks her to come over. Marlene has to go back to work, and Diana will watch Ricas. With both Marlene and Diana there, Ricas tells Diana that he had to teach Marlene how to make a sandwich. But he says it in a friendly way. They all seem to get along pretty well. Later, Chucho comes over while Diana is babysitting. Ricas invites him to stay and watch a horror movie with them. We see a love-at-first-sight look between Diana and Chucho.
Jim steps outside to smoke a cigarette. Piochas and Deivid arrive and start beating him up. Fortunately, they remember that they're not supposed to kill him.
In the next scene, we see Paloma treating Jim's wounds. She moves close to kiss him, but he stops her. Paloma accuses him of caring for the new girl (Camila). She adds that the new girl reminds Jim of his ex-wife, whose picture is hanging on the wall. Indeed, she calls Camila a clone of the ex-wife.
Diego and Isa are parked near Porfirio's house when Mateo drives up. They duck down in the car so as not to be seen. Mateo goes into the house. Isa says she never wants to go into that house again. That was where Porfirio hit her for the first time, and for the last time.
Diego and Isa decide to stop at a motel for the night and to return to Porfirio's early the next morning. Their motel room has only one bed. Diego says he'll sleep on the couch. This conversation goes on for a while. Finally, they agree that they'll sleep in the one bed, but with pillows between them.
At the motel, Isa sees a newspaper with a front-page story about the attempted murder of Eliseo. She shows this to Diego. Diego immediately calls Eliseo and says it's all his (Diego's) fault. Eliseo assures him that that's not the case, but that the situation is too complicated for him to explain it now over the phone. The important thing, he tells Diego, is that under no circumstances should he come to Alamos!
José tells Gavino that Diego is in Alamos. Gavino wants to know why José isn't tracking him down. "But tomorrow is my wedding," says José. Gavino orders him to round up some of his best men and find Diego. "Shoot him and then make sure you've killed the right person."
Eliseo summons Augusto to his office and plays the recording of Augusto's conversation with Gavino. At first, Augusto claims the recording is a fraud, but eventually he admits that yes, he's been involved with Gavino. However, he goes on, he did it all for Eliseo. If it hadn't been for Gavino and him, Eliseo would not have succeeded in his political career. Eliseo isn't buying this. "You used me. You killed Ramiro. You've been turned into the Gaona's dog." Finally, Augusto tells Eliseo, "Kill me or I'll do it myself."
Eliseo doesn't believe that Augusto will kill himself. He presents Augusto with two choices: turn yourself in to the police, or escape. He'll let Augusto escape on one condition: he doesn't return.
Diego and Isa get into bed. Diego turns out his light, and turns his back on Isa. Isa, however, wants to talk to him. She tells him that she feels like a 15-year-old. She's been afraid to feel something for someone. She didn't like his manner, she thought he was a womanizer (mujeriego). But then she saw how he cared for her, how he treated her, and how he treated her children. She asks him to forgive her for misjudging him. "I think I'm in love with you," she admits. Diego doesn't move, and she thinks he's asleep. But then he admits that he heard everything. They kiss. And then the commercials lower the curtain.
Jim confronts Ramona and asks what happened to Lourdes. She tells him that he needs to learn to mind his own business, which is putting on the show at Babel. The rest is hers. He says the agreement was to launder money, he was OK with that. But not with her turning Babel into a place for drugs and prostitution. He wants to know everything that he wasn't told.
Circe calls Deivid. She has heard that Diego is back. "Is it for my wedding?" she asks. No, Deivid replies. He tries to claim he knows nothing about Diego's whereabouts. Circe says that everyone has heard that Diego is back.
The scene shifts to the motel. Diego and Isa have been making love. Diego tells her, "I never felts like this, I swear. I don't know where you've been all this time. I just know that this is where I want to be--for all my life." Diego's phone rings. It's Deivid, who tells Diego that Circe knows he's back in Alamos and Gavino knows it, too. They're all looking to kill him.
Juanita, thanks a million for the fabulous recap! Can't take time right now to comment very much. But I'm amazed at how quickly things move in this novela. I NEVER thought Augusto would be outed so quickly.
And I expected weeks of Diego and Isa working up to making love.
Boy, Circe is the typical delusional other woman. That smile when she thought he was coming back because he heard she was getting married (presumably, I think, in her mind, to take her off on a white horse so she doesn't have to go through with it) was really something.
Piochas is SO vicious. I remember he was furious with Jim when he wouldn't let him approach Isabel and presumably try to put his hands on her or try to get her to have sex with him.
One of my favorite things about the novela is that I never can predict what's going to happen.
wonderful recap Juanita! I wish my comprehension of spanish was as good as yours.
so the show starts with a road trip where Diego and Isa agree, "the past is a bitch".
and we get a walk through of the money laundramat, where they wash the crisp clean dollars that narcos are always paid with, in their underwear of course like a cocaine lab.
so Corona la pequena lives in his dad's house with his family totally supported by him, which is why Mateos declined to give him a cut.
I'm kind of stuck with this idea that Manuel Balbi (Eliseo) won't last long in a novela, and I think every show may be his last, but wow, laying down all his cards with Augusto, what kind of plan was that?
yep, Isa is a clone for Jim's former wife, something tells me his life is going to be a rocky road, did they say he and Paloma were together till Isa came along?
Thanks, Juanita. Piochas and Deivid arrive and start beating him up. Fortunately, they remember that they're not supposed to kill him. - ha!
Hmmm, will Augusto do the right thing and try to help Eliseo from afar?
Surprised Isa moved so quickly. Yeah, Diego has been great with Ricas, but mujer you have a lot of baggage to sort out first.
Circe is such a waste.
Many thanks, novelera, deb, and Niecie. I too am surprised and pleased with the novela's fast pace. Of course, things going so well for Isa and Diego's relationship is an almost sure sign that they are in for Much Trouble.
deb, thanks for mentioning the scene of the money laundering. I can't believe that I forgot to include that. I loved the literal washing and drying of the bills. I hate to ask, but is money-laundering really done that way? I assumed the scene was meant to be funny.
I felt uncomfortable both with Eliseo's confronting Augusto, and with Jim's confronting Ramona. In both cases, I questioned the wisdom of their doing that. I think Jim may be especially in danger. Ramona is a carefully controlled loose cannon (yes, I know that seems not to make sense, but I think it does).
thanks Juanita!
the actual money laundering was done by mixing the narco money in with the Babel money and declaring it as profits, making it legal, but I guess brand new bills would stick out so washing them would make them blend in better, don't know about the part of putting them on a clothesline to dry though.
