Mi Marido Tiene Más Familia, Capítulo 15, Tuesday, October 2, 2018; What Happened to the Family Photo?

On the phone with Robert, Blanca says she stopped Canuto from telling the truth of who he is by feigning that she saw a cockroach.

Dressed like a pirate, Amalia thinks she can fool Crisanta, but Crisanta can see through the pirate disguise, even though Amalia pretended to be a Russian tourist. Amalia says she is looking for beachwear and Cristanta asks “for which beach?” Amalia says “for Acapulkinsky.” Then Crisanta lets Amalia know that the gig is up. She gives Amalia an ultimatum: She will call the police or she can help Cristanta betray Imelda.

At the bakery, Blanca tells Eugenio that she is just all shock up by nearly having an accident. Robert says he has to go back to the hospital and asks Blanca if it is okay to leave the children there. Later, Eugenio says that his photo is missing, the one of his parents and his brothers together in the family picture. He is very upset about the picture and does not know where it went.

Pancho arrives at the bakery and Robert is never too happy to see Pancho arrive. It’s obvious he is feeling jealousy at seeing Pancho around his parents. Polita tells him that they are infested with cockroaches, but Blanca says she only thinks she saw one. Pancho tells Robert he will take care of his family while he is gone.

At home, Julieta is with the children and David tells her that his father fired the nanny. Julieta is not thrilled with this news. Robert and Julieta argue about and Robert puts his foot down by saying that from now on, his mother will watch the children. No more nannies! They keep arguing about it and David peers in and sees them arguing.

David calls Seb and tells him his parents are fighting and thinks it’s his fault. Seb makes matters worse for Dave by telling him that when his parents fought, it meant divorce.

At Cklass, Julieta tells Casandra that Susana is dropping the charges, but the police are still going to investigate, so they cannot claim victory yet.

Catalina then calls on the phone, it appears she is having some sort of plumbing problem with a burst pipe in her kitchen. She is having a major flood!

Gabe walks in and sees Axel at the gallery where the alebrijes are sold and wants to buy a bunch of them. Gabe is jealous and wants him Axel out. Later Dani tells him he shouldn’t be jealous and that the sale of the alebrijes will only help them. They make up and looks like some “loving” takes place afterward at home.

At Canuto’s home, Canuto and Susana are talking and she knows he is hiding something. He wants to tell her, but then he tells her that he has diabetes, which is true and just another secret he has. He says he just did not want to worry the family. Susana is practically in tears about it and wants to help him.

Axel walks in and then Susana tells him that Canuto has diabetes. Axel wants to know what specialist he is seeing. Then they have a family meeting about it when Crisanta comes in. She is quite upset to find out that he was  hiding the diabetes from the family. [Wonder how she will feel when she finds out he has more family?] Susana tells her mother that diabetes can be controlled and she will take her father to the doctor. Then she looks at Canuto and says, “You shouldn’t hide such important things from the family. You need to be honest with us at all times.”

Eugenio tells Imelda how sick he is about losing the only photo he had of the family when he was a little boy. After Eugenio walks out, Imelda cries and goes on a rant about how she thought she had closed that chapter in her life. She is afraid if her sons find out that their father is alive, they will never forgive her. Blanca tries to console her.

Later, Eugenio and Pancho sit in the dark bakery with flashlights waiting for cockroaches to appear. [The scene gets rather slapstick.] They do not find any cockroaches. Eugenio later questions Blanca about whether she really saw a cockroach.

Ari plays his portable keyboard and demonstrates his song for Temo. He also gives Temo a lesson on how to play. Pancho arrives, Ari leaves. Temo tells his dad he has something to discuss with him. After hemming and hawing, Temo tells his dad he doesn’t think he can take care of his younger siblings very well. Pancho tells him not to worry, all he needs to do is be a good son and a good brother. Pancho and Temo hug.

At Hugo and Diana’s place, Hugo is pretty depressed about the possibility that he may lose his cookie baking busines and is afraid Diana will not be proud of him.

At night at the Cooper home, David tearfully runs into Julieta and Robert’s room. He is crying because he thinks they are going to get a divorce. Both Robert and Julieta explain to him that married couples will have disagreements about things and it is normal. They both tell him to not worry, that no matter what they are a family and will always work things out. Julieta tells David that things are complicated right now but they are seeking a good solution to any problems that happen.

Ding dong! It’s Catalina with suitcase in tow at the Cooper home. She says her house is like an ocean and she needs to stay there.  Everything is damaged at her house, even her money is wet since she kept it under the bed. The stars have not been good to her.

Keeping it short tonight, fill in any of the blanks I may have missed.

Hola, Cynthia! Thank you for doing this recap for us, it's much appreciated. I haven't had a chance to see this episode yet, but I'm hoping I will be able to later. If I don't get a chance at least I won't be all confused Wednesday night.

:-)

more later

Thank you Cynthia for your recap!

Imelda always reminds me of the famous line. “O what a tangled web we weave when first we practice to deceive” !!! Maybe she will get voted off the island. 🙄

Thanks, Cynthia, for the wonderful recap. What a great choice of screen caps!

I was happy that Robert and Julieta finally had it out about the nanny. They agreed to try out a nanny and if she didn’t work out Blanca would take care of the kids. Robert gave Julieta an extra nanny before defaulting to his mother. It was good that Robert reminded her that they had an agreement.

Now, I am well aware that diabetes is a serious illness and have seen enough people suffer and die from it but, geez, Canuto is not at death’s door for Susana to call that family meeting. Canuto was not right in not telling Crisanta about his health. Yep, I, too, wonder what they will do when they find out about another family.

Last night, Pancho sounded somewhere between a braying burro and Woody Woodpecker. What fun! I loved Pancho and Eugenio on cucaracha patrol.

Thanks so much Cynthia for keeping us up to date and also including those great screen caps. Quite a lot of slapstick humor in this one, and I especially loved Acapulinski, or however it was she said it.

Canuto certainly has trouble being honest, doesn't he? The man looks chronically furtive. Not a good look and not a good way to lead one's life, but so it is. Imelda is equally prone to hiding the truth and presenting a false face to the family. They are "tal para cual" it seems.

Happy Wednesday everybody, and thanks again Cynthia.

Cynthia, your screen shots were an excellent accompaniment to your fantastic recap. Every picture told a great story. You captured everything you needed to, and did it so well.

“She is quite upset to find out that he was hiding the diabetes from the family. [Wonder how she will feel when she finds out he has more family?” was excellent.

“Pancho arrives at the bakery and Robert is never too happy to see Pancho arrive”. No, he wasn’t was he? Robert’s angry arched eyebrow and his “in your face” hugging of Blanca and Eugenio made that all too evident. Our galan is human after all.

“Everything is damaged at her house, even her money is wet since she kept it under the bed” made me smile. I wonder if the old mattress might have been better?

I really dislike Julieta and Robert and Dani and Gabe arguing. I sympathize with the nanny/babysitter problem. However, you are so lucky you have options!! Not one but two grandmothers, let alone the ability to pay for assistance if needed. I really wanted to reach through the TV and wipe that smirk off Axel’s face. Permanently. And none too gently either.

Doris, I vote to evict Canuto off the island before Imelda. She is going to have a heart attack trying to keep this under wraps. Little does she know, the package has already been opened and the surprise has already been sprung. It's just that not everyone has seen it.

“Pancho sounded somewhere between a braying burro and Woody Woodpecker”. That’s it Jarifa. “The man looks chronically furtive” was stellar Judy.

What a fun way to begin the day. Thank you Cynthia!

Diana

I did not understand a word that Robert and Pancho said to each other. Could someone kindly tell me anything that was exchanged? I'm asking as Robert looked somewhat mollified at what Pancho said (whatever it was).

Thank you.

Diana

Diana, if I remember correctly, this was the gist. Pancho tells Eugenio he could digitize his photo once they found it. Robert says he could do that. Pancho Is not dissuaded and offers his help with the cucaracha problem as a fumigator if necessary and keeps going on about how there are no worries because he is happy to help out Eugenio and Blanca. Then the hospital calls and Robert has to leave.

Cynthia: Did Carolina's house get flooded ?

Thanks so much Jarifa. I suspect Pancho recognizes the angry eye when he sees it (I could never use "evil" in conjuntion with Robert), but apparantly doesn't care.

I don't know what word describes it best. It's not a rivalry (exactly), but definite tension!!

Diana

Thanks Cynthia! Can't wait to watch this episode.

Sounds like Axel is having lots of fun with his new cousin Dani! He has no other family members around his age so maybe he is a little too excited and annoying. If Linda was around she probably would be flirting with him.

Canuto can't tell the truth to his sons until he tells his current immediate family. He loves Crisanta and so I can only imagine he is waiting so as not to hurt her but that hasn't been exactly shown in his actions---more just lack of follow through.

I guess Catalina can take care of the kids if she is stuck in their house. Like Juli needs more stress.

I loved the first seaso..this one, not so much. Axel. Sebas, Amalia, Julie’ rants,Crisanta and Imelda hijinks...meh.
I’m rooting only for Pancho and his son....

JudyB - yes tal para chap is perfect for Imelda and Canuto.

I don't think the writers are doing a good job with Imelda and Crisanta. Imelda is looking more and more awful as she tries to sabotage Cris. Cris has done nothing evil or criminal to Imelda. She is coming across like a nice woman while Imelda...not so much.

Gotta agree with the doc on the nanny situation. Trusting a complete stranger with your kids? And then Julie's solution was to install nanny cameras? What's so wrong with the grandmothers taking care of the kids? At least Rob finally stood up for himself. It sucks when others make the decisions without asking for an opinion, but Julie does it all the time. That was a very pot calling the kettle black argument they had right there.

The show constantly teases that Julie will leave the doc because of his ever expanding family. But what if it's actually Rob the one who finally puts an end to her garbage and says goodbye?

Thanks everyone! I had a bit of troubles trying to do this one. I recorded the show on my DVR, but too late and I missed the very beginning. So had to watch much later on Univision's online repeat, but it was getting late and I couldn't spend a lot of time with it. Loved everyone's comments.

I can't figure out why Robert seems to not like and be suspicious of Pancho. I wonder if he thinks Pancho will take advantage of his parents?

I am on Robert's side about the nanny situation. I really don't know what Julieta's problem is. She should be grateful to have local grandmothers who want to help out. I didn't have that luxury when raising my kids.

I totally see Juli's side of the nanny situation. Blanca is always criticizing her and wants things done her way--and refuses to listen to what Juli wants. A nanny doesn't fight because she is being paid but Blanca, and Catalina, constantly question Juli's decisions and actions. I can see why Juli doesn't want another avenue of fighting with the in-laws, especially over her children.

Thank you, Cynthia.

So many unhappy people.

Julieta has it all..a sweet hot hubby, two healthy kids , a good job, a nice place to live .....but...she is always cranky and sees her glass as half full.

Hey, I think that grandparents are ideal babysitters because they love their grandchildren and they don't charge for their services !!! However, I am prejudiced since hub and I have been babysitting two of our Grandgirls since they were babies and consider ourselves blessed to be able to do so...and sometimes exhausted.

Carvivle..I have to agree with you that both grandmothers have issues.

Thanks a bunch, Cynthia. Looking forward to reading your recap tonight.

The rivalry between Pancho and Robert made me laugh. It seems Pancho is gaining favor with Eugenio too - love the shtick of them in the dark hunting for cockroaches.

I have to agree with Dani. Gabriel needs a gig outside of helping her with her gig.

I think that Robert is jealous of all of the attention and help Pancho can give to his parents and the attention and appreciation Pancho gets from them. I think he is upset at some level that he cannot be the one to do everything for them and spend more time with them. He is still that needy little four year old that got lost.

Thanks, Cynthia! Great comments from everyone. I especially agree that the writers are not doing too well with some of the storylines; and Julieta's crankiness can be a turn off, but I'll keep watching so I can continue returning to the patio. Good friends, good conversations, and always good support.

Here's hoping for a good episode tonight!

"He is still that needy little four year old that got lost" brought a tear to my eye Jarifa.

RgvChick, I think the first act was a tough one to follow. The characters are regressing a bit. While Juli does have reason to be cranky, I agree with Susanlynn that she has much to be grateful for. That said, even Robert has lost some of his sparkle smile.

Yup Niecie, Gabe needs some diversion and another purpose. Dani doesn't seem exasperated with him. Think I would be.

Diana

Add me to the list of those who think the writing is weak for this season. The Korean version did not have a second season, as best I can tell, so I think this one is on Telerisa’s team.
