Mi marido tiene más familia Wednesday 11/21/18 Capítulo 53 Time Marches on Whether You Like It or Not

Dani tells her family that she is going to do the reality show and comes against strong opposition to what they think will be airing her dirty laundry in public.  They also think she is disrespecting her family.  She calls them hypocrites for having aired their own problems in public. Later, Dani asks Imelda why the family always has to stick their nose in everybody's business.  Imelda says by moving back home she gave them that right. Blanca sees Dani as stubborn. Imelda wants them to solve their problems as a "normal" couple. Gabriel thinks they maybe need something more extreme. Blanca can only think of them being on display. Gabriel says he is solving his problems as a grown man and will do whatever it takes to make Dani happy.

Dave wants to know where his bio-dad is.  Robert says he got out of jail yesterday.  Julieta tells him that his father was falsely accused so he was innocent the whole time. Dave wants to meet him and know more about him. Julieta reminds him that the auditions for casting Oliver Twist  is tomorrow. Before he goes to sleep,  Dave prays to God that he can meet his father Fernando.

Linda meets the new theater director (sometime actor/musician)from England. He will be directing Oliver Twist.  His name is Iker del Río. He kisses her hand. Iker asks Linda if she is an actress and starts quoting from Shakespeare.  Clearly, the flirting has begun. He takes a selfie of them together on her phone and tells her to keep it. It would be worth a lot in England . . .

Susana does not know what to do with Pancho who is not ready for a relationship again; keep him as a friend? Susana loves Pancho. Crisanta tells Susana that she and Pancho were made for each other. Love does not occur all that often in life so Susana has to fight for him.  Crisanta just wants her only daughter to be happy.

Pancho tells Temo he won' t force the gym or anything else on him. Temo wants to talk to him tomorrow. Yes, it is something serious.

Blanca bemoans the fact that they she and Eugenio are getting older and infirm.  He says they won't last but love will. Blanca is also worried that their children will lose their way.

Julieta tells Robert that she doesn't understand why Dave has to meet his father right away. She is afraid of everything changing and they no longer being enough for him. Robert says Dave has every right on the world to meet his birth parents and to know where he came from.  They can never fill that particular void for Dave.

The next day,  Julio and Dave are in competition  for the role of Oliver Twist.  Blanca is still upset about Dani and the reality show. Julieta is still upset about Fernando. Ari and Temo have something to confess to Robert later if he can talk to them.  Robert says sure and he can be discreet.

Amalia talks with Crisanta because she is going to need a huge amount of money for her liposuction.  Crisanta will be happy to hire her  so they can be accomplices. Amalia agrees since everyone else has turned their back on her.

Dani and Gabriel are about to enter the "Reality de Amor" show set. No, Dani does not want to say goodbye to her family.  She thinks it is just better to go ahead.  They enter the reality show set and the doors close behind them. At home, Imelda goes looking for Dani to make peace only to discover that she left for the show without saying goodbye to any of them. At "Reality de Amor" the couples get the plan and rules of  the show.  Suddenly, Dani is upset about not having said goodbye to her family. On the set, women will sleep in one room and men in another. At home, Imelda is still complaining about Dani and Audifaz joins in her negativity.  Polita is all excited to see how they are going to do because they can watch the show on the internet. Hearing that,  Imelda has a new interest in the show.

The audition process starts. Pancho, Robert, Julieta, Blanca, Linda and Ignacio are there. Susana could not leave work.  Axel comes  for Sebas and Linda blows him off. There is also an unexpected visitor: Fernando who watches from the back of the auditorium in tears.  He starts to leave.  Julieta follows him out. He couldn't wait one more day to see his son.  Julieta is all worried about Dave's reaction.  She and Robert want to plan their meeting. Fernando explains that when he was in jail  Dave was his only reason for living. Julieta needs to protect her family and she explains that she needs to know that he is a good man and really loves him. She doesn't want to see Dave hurt. His place is with her and Robert now. Fernando is left crying on a bench outside.  Julieta feeling like she does welcomes a hug from her brother. Julieta just cannot take anymore.

Blanca congratulates Ignacio on the great father he has become. He would do anything for Frida. Blanca  understands the situation with Dave's bio-dad.  Julieta says yes, and in her case, Robert decided to stay with his birth parents.  Julieta is afraid that when Dave meets Fernando her family will be destroyed.

The results of the audition: Oliver Twist will be played by David Cooper y Aguilar.  Julio complains, Sebas sticks up for Dave and a fight starts. Pancho says it was all because Julio was "too Mexican" for this "English" part. Bratty Sebas thinks that Pancho needs to hang around less with his mother and help Julio study more.  Susana arrives as soon as she can and Sebas is furious with her. He is leaving with Axel.  Susana  ends up in a toy store with Pancho and his twins trying to pick out a toy to help make the peace with Sebas.  Being in a toy store brings back many memories for him. She tells him she wants to take advantage of this time to talk to Pancho about them and their future. He looks interested.

Axel tries to get Linda to talk to him again.  She is not interested. He almost says he loves her but catches himself and ends up saying he "appreciates" her. Iker appears and wants to be introduced to her "boyfriend".  No, Axel is not her boyfriend. He is her cousin. No, they are not "kissing cousins".  She tells Iker in Italian that she and Axel  are forever family (famiglia per sempre). She is free with no attachments. Axel just looks more aggravated.

Polita doesn't know if she has found the church where Audifaz has been going but asks the "minister" what this building is. At the same time, she hears Audifaz's voice and goes to the room where he is speaking.  He is quoting Proverbs: May love and truth never abandon you . . .    She sees Audifaz standing at a lectern with a woman. She tells him off then and there.

Robert and his family go home. Julieta wants to have a celebratory family meal because of Dave getting the role.  This attempt at normalcy and happiness is soon derailed because Fernando calls Robert on his cellphone.  Dave grabs the phone and sees who the call is from. Can he talk to Fernando?

As I sit here with a turkey in the oven, I wish you all a wonderful Thanksgiving!

What a fun episode tonight!

Yay! Another new character: Iker. I like that new characters are introduced into the story every once in a while. We know now that "appreciative" Axel has it bad for Linda so I do not think he will be dissuaded even though she is telling him she is not interested.

I look forward to bit and pieces of Oliver Twist and Reality de Amor.

Poor Julieta! Fernando seems like a pretty good guy.

Dani never can make up her mind, can she?

Unpopular opinion here, but susana really should prioritize connecting with sebastian before even thinking of pursuing a romance with Pancho. The kid is already calling her by her first name. He's screaming for help in so many obnoxious ways and she's still not listening. And for the record, buying him tons of toys won't make him appreciate her as his mother, but rather make him take her for granted even further. She lets him get away with way too much, and her focusing on romance with Pancho is only taking potential time away from Sebastian. How is it that she somehow has time for Pancho but her kid? Fix the problems at home first before proceeding...

Also the pancho susana match is so unrealistic. If Rebecca lived hell with him, why would Susana fare any better? I dont see how any woman can take him seriously. He has a good heart and all, but terrible presentation.

Sometimes I wish Pili would tell Julieta to shut the heck up. Shes so annoying to watch whenever she starts to lose control of anything. Shut up already and start being considerate of others' feelings. Fernando and Dave want to meet. Let them already! Otherwise Fernando can easily go to court, which wouldn't fare well for anyone involved.

Jarifa, thank you for this excellent recap of tonight's Mi Marido Tiene Product Placement.

Oops! Did I say that? :-)

It seems that Ignacio has now become a good father. Quite a change, but OK, I'm happy to see something good developing as lately most everything else is negative.

Polita's trailing Audifaz was funny and we got to see what beer is advertising locally in Oaxaca... Is that attractive woman supposed to be his mentor in this religion or cult? Or is Polita on to something?

Anyway, I wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving, I hope you enjoy some turkey or tofu or tufurkey or lasagne, but not too much! I certainly won't overdo it, at least not until dessert :-)

Happy Thanksgiving to everybody from San Antonio, TX!

Happy Thanksgiving, Patio!

Julieta, so intelligent and lovable the first season, is coming across as rather stubborn and selfish this time. She keeps saying she wants to "protect Dave and respect his feelings." She doesn't. She wants to protect HERSELF and HER OWN feelings. David's feelings are that he wants and NEEDS to meet his father. Start with that, Joolie! Respect that. Where's the loving, supportive Julieta that stood by Juan Roberto Pablo when HE was searching, then finding, his huge obnoxious family? What would she have said to his adoptive mother if she had reacted like Julieta is doing?

Hey, All! Hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving Day..and that the only one who was over stuffed was the turkey :-)

Thanks, Jarifa! Amazing how you were able to fit in a recap despite all the Thanksgiving preps. You get an extra gold star :-)

I agree that Julieta needs to allow Dave to meet Fernando. I understand her fears, but still, neither Dave or Fernando were at fault for being separated and they deserve an opportunity to get to know each other.

Good morning all. Way too busy yesterday to check in, so I admire Jarifa all the more for not only checking in but providing another lively recap. And another great title. Time marches on indeed and I felt like Time had marched all over me by the end of yesterday evening. If I stay downstairs too long in kitty cat land, I develop asthma. So when the last guest left, I headed outdoors to try and get some fresh air in my lungs. When that didn't work, I punted, took one of my son's extra-strength Benadryl and called it quits.

I'm with everybody else. Julieta needs to let David see his bio-dad. But I understand her anguish. Having a child is like having your heart outside your body. You are soooo vulnerable. Maybe that explains while she's not the dear little gal of the first season. Parenthood does bring anxieties. And fatigue.

Happy Day After everybody. And thanks Ms. Jarifa. Great as always.

Jarifa, thank you for watching, your recap, and the gift of your time on getting this listed for us in the Patio, all while cooking your Thanksgiving dinner! I hope you and all my Patio mates here in Caray, had a wonderful turkey day! 🦃🦃🦃

Good morning, everybody! I hope we all had a great Thanksgiving with no political arguments :-)

It's still bitter cold here in the Big Apple, but at least no snow. And tomorrow should be considerably warmer.

I'm looking forward to tonight's episode, especially Polita and Audifaz who are usually not all that interesting. Also Pancho and Susana.

Thanks to everyone for taking time to stop by the patio. it was a very fine turkey day indeed. I hope everyone enjoyed it.

It is going to hit about 50 here today so I plan to enjoy it before we head down into the 20's as a high on Monday back to late December weather in November.

JudyB, you expressed my opinion of Julieta better than I ever could. It is only right that Fernando and Dave have to meet but when it is dealing with one's children and one's heart that is a different story. Logically speaking, there is no way to stop them from meeting. I am thinking that all Fernando would have to do would be to go to court. It seems inevitable at this point.

Well, time to go get some fresh air checking out the decorations at the zoo and then off to continue the Xmas shopping! Yes! I started at 7:00 a.m. today. : )
