Happy Thanksgiving to your families from the Boudreaux's of San Antonio, TX!

Identidad

thanks so much Juanita for your recap of Wednesday's show!

I too was surprised Circe spilled that she killed Eliseo, but I'm thinking Disgusto will get back at her by telling Diego.

yep, empty egg, the doctor called it (Paloma's) a "molar pregnancy" if anyone wants the details.

identidad
I deleted the episode after watching it or I could have painted a better picture of what happened on Friday.
1) Isa and Paloma make up, but Paloma has decided not to tell anyone the pregnancy is false. Paloma knows Isa's whole story now.
2) Diana gets to stay at Chucho's cochitrin, and after he goes to "work" has the sort of look on her face--what is she doing there, when she's so used to upper middle class trappings.
3) Diego is mad at his mother because she gave in to Disgusto's demands--to help him stay out of jail. He decides to take things into his own hands.
4) Topo frees himself with the help of one of his guards, who prossibly saw a kindred spirit. Topo frees Joselito and they both are ready to leave and Disgusto whines, what about me? The delay is just long enough for the guard to come back and they have to fight their way out. (This takes utterly too long.) JJ is pissed that they escaped. Circe is pissed that JJ couldn't hold onto them (although we all knew they would manage to escape.)
5) Zori shows up at Isa's and Porfi is pissed that she was invited to stay by Isa and he wasn't consulted. Amanda tells him to be nice to her. Isa returns home and they start to whisper--enough of which Porfi hears. He restates his pissiness about not being consulted on who stays in his house and Isa reminds him this is not his house.
6) Marlene is reporting Disgusto's disappearance. It's not like him. Zori and Isa arrive with the "proof" they have that Disgusto is a disgusting human being. Marlene doesn't really want to believe the audio--even after everyone who knows Disgusto has warned her (at least 6 people). I think she said he's always been a gentleman and truly loves her, so I'm not sure what she's going to do next.
7) There was a short scene between Erick and … was it Nuria?

Please fill in, correct or discuss.

Thanks, deb, for your comments about the Thursday recap. And thanks, Anita, for your very helpful mini-cap of Friday's episode. I was a bit surprised that Paloma didn't tell Jim about the false pregnancy. Did she simply want to make him sweat? Was she trying to test his new-found understanding?

Perhaps my memory is playing its usual tricks on me, but I don't remember Topo getting loose "with the help of one of his guards." I thought he managed to struggle with the ropes long enough to loosen them, and then he got free, untied his feet, hid when he heard a guard approach with food (I think), and then attacked the guard, knocked him out, freed Don't-Call-Me-Joselito, and then, at DCMJ's suggestion, freed Disgusto. More guards came, they had a lengthy shootout during which time apparently Disgusto was hit, but eventually the three prisoners managed to escape. They dragged Disgusto for a short while, but then ever-altruistic DCMJ told Topo that it was either Disgusto's life or theirs, so they left Disgusto lying on the sidewalk.

Also, after they left him on the sidewalk and fled, Disgusto had a vision/memory/whatever of Ramiro (I think), the guy he killed, saying to him that he thought they'd meet again, or something like that.

Anita, I loved watching Marlene listen to the recording of Disgusto admitting to murder, etc. I had the feeling that even though she didn't want to believe what she heard on the recording, she was coming to realize that what she heard was true. What she'll do now remains to be seen. It's quite likely that she herself doesn't yet know what she wants to do.

Gavino calls Mateo just as he and some young woman (potential victim?) are about to get it on. Gavino says he needs to see Mateo right away. So he sends the woman away, and off he goes to see the boss. Gavino wants to get out of prison and take back the Gaona cartel. Mateo points out that there's a problem, since it's widely believed that Gavino killed Eliseo. Gavino tells Mateo to find Disgusto. I think Gavino believes Augusto may say that Gavino didn't kill Eliseo. At least, I think that's what was said. (That disclaimer should really follow just about everything I say about this telenovela.)

Juanita, thank you for the missing scenes. I also recall that Circe and Diego both show up at the bodega together. Seems he overruled Circe on who was going to kill Joselito. I remember her and Felipa, cozy in bed, discussing whether or not to even kill him, or kill him slowly.

I'm pretty sure that late in the last episode, I saw one of JJ's guys slip Topo something into his already tied up hands, maybe a nail file--whatever it was, it took Topo a long time to get loose--for dramatic effect, natch. They sure did have Joselito chained up pretty well.

Thanks, Anita, for adding still more events and for clarifying the business about Topo's freeing himself. I must have missed the slipping of the whatever to Topo in the previous episode. (Ah, if only I had a dollar for each thing I miss....)

Identidad

Thanks to everyone who has been providing the recaps and added details for this TN. I’ve been lurking on and off, especially when I miss an episode. Here are some added details...

After hearing the recording, Marlene did finally come to realize that what everyone told her was true. She wanted to kick herself for being so worried about Disgusto and calling the cops. She couldn’t believe that she was with him for years and she believed everything he told her. She mentioned that love is blind, but she wasn’t really blind, she was just dumb. She doesn’t know what to believe or say anymore; she knows she has been so stupid along.

In the scene with Erick and Nuria, Erick told Nuria that the owner of the gym wants to hire him exclusively since the owner wants him to only work for him...Erick will make more money that way. He then tells Nuria to seriously consider what they talked about. Nuria figures he is talking about his idea to get married and tells him they have only been together for one month; she thinks they should get to know each other more. Erick then points out that Nuria is too skinny and tells her to ask Paloma for suggestions as to how to gain weight. This does not sit well with Nuria so she tells him that she likes the way she is and, in fact, she wants to lose a few more pounds.

Gavino told Mat that the attorney told him he needed to find someone who could convince the public and the news media that he didn’t kill Eli. He thinks that who better than Eli’s own stepfather to make that statement; so he tells Mat to go find and bring Disgusto.

And ...I don’t recall Topo being slipped anything, but Topo didn’t have anything in his hands when he managed to get loose...maybe he dropped whatever was given to him???

thanks so much Anita for kicking things off!
and thanks Juanita for filling the gaps!
Rgv Chick, you are so good at clarifying things, please drop in more often.

Diana is a trooper for standing up to Marlene, but now she looks pretty scared, she's heard that love goes out of a romance once you move in together, Chucho assures her, not if it's real love, she also has no money and will have to take a bus to school, but never has, can she take a taxi, and there is only one refrigerator for all the rooms ??

I think Diego finally got it, Fer backed down and gave up all her money to protect him, and she is not so dumb anymore, she got Disgusto to sign papers insuring he would never give up Diego.

Circe's plan was not to let Diego find out she's not the sweet girl he remembers her as, so was reluctant for him to go to the torture garage.

Paloma and Jim, that's a real emotional connection they have, Paloma swears she won't use the pregnancy to work him, but is she ready to let it go, she's stressed by the whole thing and her next move, the operation, a suction thing she sees them explaining like cleaning a carpet, she told Nuria she needs time, she'll tell Jim after the operation.

is it possible to feel sorry for Disgusto, he lost all his money with Circe, Joselito dumps him on a street corner with a bullet in his chest, and Gavino wants to be pals.

oh, I rewatched the Topo scene, it's quick and not real clear, but what I saw is JJ's guy walking up, puts his hands behind his back, looks like he is grasping two fingers of one hand, then reaches behind Topo, but I think he is just checking the ropes.

Thanks, deb, I don't get to watch the episode until the following day; so sometimes I feel that my input would be too late...but I will try to drop in more often :-)

Rgv Chick--Since the front page is up twice a week, Mondays and Thursdays, you can always chime in the next day. It can only add to the fun. But, knowing you are the team lead on that Blockbuster Amar a Muerte, we will take whatever sage comments you offer. Great to have you along.

(P.S. Honestly, I can't wait for this to finish so I can devote my time to Univision's En Tierras Salvajes with Horacio Pancheri - and hopeo he lasts more than a couple of episodes - with Cristian de la Fuente - and hopeo he's in a better role than the last tn. It starts Dec 3 in the daytime desert. And thanks to you for the heads up.)
