Mi marido tiene más familia Wednesday 12/26/18 Capítulo 74 "Forbidden" Loves !!!!!-OR--Julieta Says "Yes!" to Matching Pj's!!!!!

Susana tells bratty Sebas that he doesn't have to go.  They are getting along. This  is his home. Sebas accuses her of preferring Pancho López to him. Susana assures  Sebas that he will always be her son. One thing has nothing to do with the other. Sebas cannot see that because he hates Pancho and loves his father.  He reminds Susana that she used to love his father.

Blanca asks Julieta about getting married twice.  Imelda presumes it will be in church this time.  Julieta answers with a resounding "NO"!!!  Robert says it will be something more original like a romantic celebration of their vows.   Blanca and Eugenio holds hands and smile.  Robert mentions that they are coming up on their one year anniversary.  Gabriel will take on the planning of the vow renewal event. Robert and Julieta thank him.

Susana repeats that her love for Sebas will never change if she has a partner or not. Pancho is such a good man. Sebas makes it clear for the  umpteenth time that he will never accept Pancho and asks if he can go live with his father. Vicente supposes so as soon as he can get it arranged. Axel hugs his little brother.

Julio, Lupita and Pancho discuss the school camping trip. Pancho wonders if Temo can come along since the trip is open to secondary students.  Julio turns sullen. Lupita and Pancho ask him if he really wants to lose a brother.

Ari is composing a love song on his keyboard as Temo listens.  Diego appears and says that his parents are going to let him stay longer and go to school in Oaxaca.  They are all going to be at the same school!!!!! Ari doesn't seem to be happy with the news.

Blanca offers to help  sew Julieta a dress if that is what she needs for her vow renewal. No, Julieta wants something very simple this time around. She thanks them all for their support.  She does have a question for all for the Córcega's, however. Julieta asks the Córcega's  if they will marry her again. Imelda says it looks like there is no choice but ends up saying !yes! : because she and Robert are so happy together.  Blanca says of course! Eugenio agrees because Julieta makes their son so happy.  Linda agrees as well as Daniela.  Blanca  now wants to get the family meeting back on track and puts Axel's name on the white board and then crosses it out.

Vicente leaves with Sebas as Susana begs Sebas to stay. A tearful Susana is left with Axel who tells her he told her so:  a relationship with Pancho wasn't going to turn out well.

At the restaurant, Tavo and Catalina share their desserts with each other.  Catalina doesn't want to sound insecure but what does Tavo like about her company?  She does't think she is that interesting.  Tavo says he sees her as the woman she is.  She has a great sense of humor, a contagious joy for living, an affection for the entire universe. She has dedicated herself to learning  a new job and to support herself. She is always at the beck and call of her children and  grandchildren She makes him smile. Because of all of that, it would be impossible for him to not feel what he does for her. He confesses that he is hopelessly in love with her. Catalina looks worried but smiles at the same time.

Julieta tells the Córcega's that if they plan to talk about Linda they are going to get nowhere as they have before. Everyone should be free to love whoever they want. A heated discussion follows. Blanca does not see it that way because of Axel being from the same family.  That is what makes this different and their love forbidden. Imelda says it is against nature. Robert wants to hear from Linda but seems to be the only one who does.  Linda explains that Axel is a very distant cousin and  that their relationship is a casual one. It isn't as if they are getting married right away.  Imelda doesn't get the "casual" part and relating it to marriage. After limited discussion, Blanca declares the topic closed and tells Linda she is absolutely forbidden from seeing her cousin. Imelda and Eugenio agree. Linda cries.

Tavo kisses Catalina's hand. She is at a loss for words. Tavo says they don't have to think about anything just feel what they do. Catalina is very happy to be with him because he makes her feel so special but thinks that in reality their love is going to be "forbidden" by a society and its conventions that look unfavorable on a man going out with an older woman. He could not care less about what society says.  He realizes that she is a few years older than he but it would be an honor if she would accept having a relationship with him.  Catalina next thinks about what her family is going to think.  He tells her to feel what her heart is telling her. He can always talk to them. Catalina decides it is all decided. Tavo is only concerned about what Catalina wants and feels.  They both smile.

Dave wants to know what was all the shouting about. Robert says it was an adult thing. JULIETA NOW HAS ON MATCHING PAJAMAS.  They tell Dave they have  big surprise for him. No, it is not more relatives but his parents are going to get married again in a real special ceremony and they want him and Blanquita to be a fundamental part of it

Susana cries thinking of Sebas.  She texts Pancho that she needs to see him tomorrow. He agrees and asks if everything is okay. Susana says it is better if they talk in person. Clearly, that is not the answer Pancho wanted.

Dave has news for Julieta and Robert. First, "Oliver Twist" was cancelled.  Second, there is a camping trip that is open to parents, too. He gives Julieta the information sheet.  Dave jumps in bed with Julieta and Robert.

The next day, Sebas tells Dave that he is now living with his father.  Pancho was to blame for it all. Dave doesn't think that Sebas' mother ever stopped loving him and parents can have more than one partner on life.  Sebas sees a missing poster for Hermoso on his phone.

At the apartment building, Susana tells Pancho about Sebas going to live with his father.  She couldn't sleep at all last night and needs to end her relationship with Pancho for the good of her children and to keep her family together.  They both hear Blanca upset in the hallway asking someone how dare they have come to her home.   It is Axel. Axel sees Susana and asks Susana what she is doing there.  Susana says she came to talk to Pancho.   Susana asks why Axel is there. Blanca is so happy to tell her that Axel is having a romance with her daughter Linda not caring that they are cousins. Pancho and Susana look SHOCKED.

In the midst of the morning rush, Tavo meets with Julieta and Robert to tell her that he is in love with her mother.  Julieta is surprised but Robert knowingly nods. Tavo says it all started in therapy, then moved on to friendship and now that has turned into love. Tavo is aware of their age difference but it is not an impediment for him as race wouldn't be either.  Love is love. Julieta admits that she just never considered that her mother would have another love in her life let alone him. She doesn't know what to say.

Linda has now come out in that hall. Susana asks Axel if it is true that he has something going on with his "cousin".  Axel says he has already told her how complicated love is and that nobody decides who they fall in love with.  He just didn't have a romance with Linda. He is in love with her. Blanca's eyes are as big as saucers. Susana is just as shocked. Pancho says nothing. Axel apologizes but it is true.

Sebas keeps looking at the Hermoso poster and tells Dave all about what happened to him when he ran away from school. He tells him about the dog and how they let him keep it. Dave thinks that is great. He loves dogs.  Sebas wants Dave to help him come up with a name for the dog later.  Lupita brings Dave some sliced carrots seasoned with salt, lemon and pequín pepper. Dave has brought her an apple.

Gabriel cannot believe that nobody saw Hermoso. Dani still has faith that someone will find him. She tells Gabriel to eat breakfast and to follow the doctor's diet.  He agrees to eat because he as to be well for himself, her,  Hermoso and a future baby. At the same time, Hermoso is enjoying the good life at Susana's on a towel on a lounge chair with plenty of food and water  next to the  pool.  Gabriel is worried that Hermoso could be in some dark place with nothing to eat.  Dani wonders if Hermoso going missing is just a sign that they are not ready to be parents yet. Gabriel will not go there. It was an accident. He is sure they will be the best parents ever.

A family fight develops in the hallway.  Susana tells Axel that a relationship with Linda should never be. It is not right. A mouthy Axel says that he doesn't think that her relationship with  Pancho is right. Susana reminds him that she and Pancho are not related and will not let him make that comparison. Axel starts in about how different Pancho is.  Pancho tells him best to leave that for later. He decides to go inside his apartment and for Susana to see him before she leaves. Blanca tells Axel and Linda to listen to their mothers very well because they have the same opinion on this issue.  Susana and Blanca asks them to not cause any more problems and inform them that they are speaking for the WHOLE Córcega family.  Linda feels emboldened in the presence of Axel and tells Blanca  that all the family  cares about is separating her and Axel. Blanca warns her not to start with her "back talk" and her "tone".  She will not have Linda shouting at her.  Blanca tells them they have to accept that their parents are right on this one and this is for their own good. Axel asks how it can not be for their own good if they are forcing them apart. Blanca isn't going for the "Romeo and Juliet" routine.  Axel insists is in love. Linda admits she is in love too. Blanca and Susana both look shocked and disgusted with both of them.

Back with Julieta, she smiles and tells Tavo it is strange to think of her mother having a novio.  What will she be like now?  Robert chuckles. She makes it clear that she supports people and their feelings.  Tavo says that is what Catalina told him.  Julieta asks if her mother already knows how he feels. Tavo explains he told her already last night. Julieta squeals with delight. Catalina asked for time to think about it but Tavo thinks she feels the same way as he does. They are all happy.

In their classroom, Sebas and Julio are arguing and Dave and Lupita have to pull them apart to prevent a fight. Sebas accuses Julio of spreading rumored that Sebas was forced to run away from school like a little girl.  Sebas says nobody made him leave. He left because he wanted to.  They start pushing each other again and tell each other to keep out of the other's family matters. Sebas announces that Julio's "NACO" (ignorant low class jerk) of a father is his mother's novio. Julio tells him to shut up. The "novio" thing is news to Lupita. Diana finally comes in and gets them in their seats. She asks for the permission slips for the camping trip.

Blanca is still talking.  She tells Axel and Linda to just forget this absurd idea.  It is just a whim.  Susana agrees and adds that whenever a parent tells a child no, the child just ends up obsessing on whatever they wanted even more.  Axel insists that is not the case and they should put themselves in their place.  Blanca says the only place she is putting them in is in  their own homes. Blanca tells Axel to look at her and announces that he is not to come to her home again.  Susana wants to talk more to Axel at Pancho's. No, Axel will not discuss anymore because if Susana will not support him, he will not support her.  Linda will not stay where she is not welcome either and goes up to the attic apartment with Axel following. Blanca and Susana have no idea of what to do next.  Linda is not happy that  Axel has followed her. She tells Axel  that they can fight all they want for what they feel  but their families will never accept it.  Axel wants them to cut themselves off from their families and fight for themselves and their love. Linda smiles.

Susana goes to talk to Pancho. She explains what happened with Sebas, Axel and  Vicente.  She thinks she has to focus on her children right now in spite of their love they share. Pancho asks what he can do. He is in tears with her news. Her answer is nothing because their relationship will bring more problems than happiness not to just them but to their families.  She is forever grateful to Pancho for all that he did for her and all of the happiness and hope he brought to her life.  She kisses and hugs him. He tells her to never forget that he loves her. She loves him, too, but their children come first. She leaves. He cries all alone.

Linda goes to see Robert about helping out at his foundation with some pro-bono work improving the self- image of his patients.  She wants to give the children a better life.  Robert loves the idea.  It also means a lot for her.  Robert guesses that Axel is another issue she wants to talk about. Yes!  She is in love with Axel for real and she knows that their families will never accept them.  That is why she wants to save up some money so she can move out of her parents' house and get some form of independence and freedom to be able to fight for what she feels.

Catalina talks to Julieta about all of her fears and concerns about a relationship with Tavo. She is afraid of the reactions she might get from different parts of her own and the extended Córcega families. Catalina feels uncomfortable but admits she has fallen in love with Tavo.  Julieta already knows that Tavo is in love with her is very happy for her mother. Catalina appreciates Julieta and her reaction.

Susana is now at her office thinking about her two sons and the nasty things they said to her.

At school, Ari invites Temo up to the roof to work on the song he is composing tonight. Temo says they have a date then.  Diego is so happy he has been able to transfer to Temo's school!!!!!!  Ari still doesn't look too happy.

Julieta is called to Susana's office and sees a crying Susana when she arrives. Susana needs her advice as a mother and as a woman.

The Tavo and Catalina romance is such a nice respite from all of the other romantic messes the characters have managed to stir up.

Susana’s non-existent parenting skills drive me crazy.

Seeing Julieta finally in her matching pj’s was a good sign for Robert and Julieta.

Hasta mañana . . .

Jarifa, thanks for this excellent and speedy recap. I have no idea how you do it.

It was an "interesting" show tonight but I'm getting really annoyed with some or all of these people. Susana should kiss Sebas goodbye, tell him to have a great time in Africa, tell Axel to do whatever he wants, and she herself should get back with Pancho. Axel and Linda should stop seeing each other for a month to let things cool off, and to see if their feelings are for real. Then they should go ahead and do whatever their little hearts decide. But they should be sure to invite both families to the wedding and let them decide to go or not.

I'm on a roll tonight, I could easily solve all the world's problems if only people would listen to me. But they better listen up fast because the pixie dust wears off at midnight and TinkerBelle (a niece of the original Tinkerbell) told me she's had it with me and is never coming back. Sorry.

:-)

Thanks Jarifa. Enjoyed the recap, and also Andy's rant! Haven't seen this yet but am feeling overloaded with "messages". Is it just me, or have telenovelas in the last 2 years gotten terribly preachy about social issues? Whatever happened to just telling a good yarn, with some suspense and a promise of" happily ever after" plus a big wedding at the end?

Probably just cranky. Now in the fourth week of this virus and Christmas was bah Humbug. Pay me no mind.

Thanks Jarifa as always. You are sunny side up and that helps on the gray cold day in Ohio.

Smiled in delight at the title Jarifa. Excellent recap.

“JULIETA NOW HAS ON MATCHING PAJAMAS” – hooray!

Favorites include "Julieta is surprised but Robert knowingly nods", "mouthy Axel" and "Julieta squeals with delight".

Julieta's always been intense and while I would never call her "sweet" has a kindness and loving nature which I'm very relieved to see is returning.

"He cries all alone". Poor pancho.

"He reminds Susana that she used to love his father". True Sebas. And you are playing your mother's love for you masterfully to bend her to your will. What a selfish boy.

"He confesses that he is hopelessly in love with her. Catalina looks worried but smiles at the same time". Agree that this unexpected newly found love is a welcome diversion Jarifa, I totally agree.

How on earth are we supposed to care about Linda and Axel?? Axel is pleading for acceptance for his romantic relationship but shows no understanding for his mother's happiness! I think Susana should leave her house and her ex and two undeserving children behind. Let's see how long Sebas will want to stay with his father once he decides to run off again. His son will simply be baggage he no longer wishes to carry.

andy, while I agree with your logic as to what you suggest Susana do, my heart says differently. I'm not a mother but I understand why she is giving Pancho up. I don't agree with it, but...I am sure something will occur to change things.

Judy, I'd love some real romantic story as well, relatively free of social issues. I'm sorry you are still sick and pray you feel better soon.

Jarifa, I will echo Judy's cheerful "you are sunny side up". Another Christmas gift from you!

Stellar. Thank you.

Diana

Greetings, all! It is raining and it will be in upper 50’s today. No complaints from me. It could be snow! At this time of year I think, every day without snow is one less day I will have to shovel snow.

Andy, yes! Even though I can understand why Susana is trying to dedicate herself to her bratty sons, she needs to get back with Pancho and provide her bratty sons with a happy mother whether they are with her or not. She is too tentative to be effective.

JudyB, hope you are feeling better soon. You are right that novelas are changing with more inclusion of social issues than ever.

Diana, I cannot see Vicente becoming Sebas’ caretaker. He has been so selfish with himself and his time up to now. How is that going to change? Catalina and Tavo are just cute.

Thanks JudyB and Diana for labeling me “sunnyside up”. I have to admit I am having a ball with this novela! Eventhough characters irritate me, I look forward to each and every episode.

Time to get out of here and support the economy!

Thank You, Jarifa! You hit another winner with the titles and the recap!

Good episode. It was truly a relief to see the Opas wearing matching jammies again. YAY! I can't wait for the school camp...I can just imagine all the fun adventures and predicaments we will be entertained with.

Diana, "How on earth are we supposed to care about Linda and Axel?? Axel is pleading for acceptance for his romantic relationship but shows no understanding for his mother's happiness! " Exactly! There are SO many hypocrites in this show. Unbelievable!

I just could not stand to see Sebas yelling at his mom...and Vicente just looking on and letting it happen. How times have changed..I cannot imagine talking to my mother like that...not even as an adult.

JudyB, I do hope you get over your virus soon. I can't believe it has gone on for so long.

Judy: Get well soon.

RGV Chick: Do you remember the TV Drama "La Malcriadas" ?

Thank you for your recap, Jarifa. I have not had a chance to watch yet...this morning was Xmas with granddaughter and family.

"Is it just me, or have telenovelas in the last 2 years gotten terribly preachy about social issues? Whatever happened to just telling a good yarn, with some suspense and a promise of" happily ever after" plus a big wedding at the end?"
JudyB -yes, I agree. We could use a rerun of FELS right now. 😊

We were in the veterinar ER clinic in Xmas morning with out dog. Hemorraghic gastroenteritis. 😝 We were very fortunate on that all episodes were outdoors and no accidents in the house!!!She is improving daily.

Our big laugh was at another dog parent whose rather large dog was brought in because it got into the pot brownies her brother left out where the dog could eat them. The dog was so stoned it could not walk and had lost bladder control. She was worried about seizure. Then, she told us marijuana is toxic to dogs ... worse than chocolate. Okayyy..... She was so mad at her brother. Maybe she will make her brother pay the ER vet bill. 😳

Oh gah! Plz excuse autocorrect typos 🙄🙄🙄

Thanks for stopping by tha patio, everyone. It has been a busy day.

Thanks, Jarifa. Fab title and recap.

Loved everybody's jabs at Axel and Linda. Those two are so annoying that I haven't even bothered spending energy to figure out if it's technically okay for them to be kissing (and bunnyhopping) cousins. Generally, coupling between third cousins is considered okay.

Someone brought this up before. The age difference between Axel and Sebas is wild. Axel is way old enough, educated enough, and experienced enough to help his mom talk sense into his baby brother, instead of joining in with him like a brat.

Doris, that poor stoned dog! Hilarious. I learn something knew everyday so pot is worse for dogs than chocolate. Hope your own pooch is feeling better.
