Lupita is shocked to see
whom she believes to be El Chino standing in front of her. When she snaps out
of it, she can’t contain herself and lunges at him elated to hug and kiss him.
LCJ stands there stiff as a board as she tells him that they came to Mexico and
have been searching for him…they tried to kill her because she was looking for
him. LCJ coldly calls her “Señora” but Lupita doesn’t care what happened to
her; the important thing is that he returned. LCJ finally manages to push her
away long enough to tell her that he is not El Chino and he can explain if she
gives him a chance. Lupita, YOU are going to need a steel belted beanie.
At the parking garage,
Juls and Vale are starting to get it on, but Alirio comes back and unknowingly
interrupts. When Alirio asks if they are going to Silvina’s house, Vale tells
him that they need to make one stop before going on.
In front of the Carvajal
home, Eva chides Lucía and Johny as she asks them how far they are going to
drag down the family…which has never accepted presents from criminals (only
stuffed teddy bears, etc.??). After Lucía tells her to calm down and that she
didn’t know about the gift, Eva responds that she is glad her father isn’t
around to see what they have done to their home. Lucía rolls her eyes. Eva then
tells Fabricio to take the car away…he can take it to a dump or throw it off a
cliff; she doesn’t care, she just wants him to do it. Johny whispers to Lucía
that this is serious…this guy is in love with her. Lucía knows she must do
something before it’s too late. (On
first glance, all the non lethal exits seem to be blocked, you two.)
At Silvina’s house,
Lupita is over her joy and tells LCJ not to start with that again; he doesn’t
have to be hiding from her or Juls. When she mentions that Juls will see him,
LCJ insists that Juls must not see him until they come to some type of
agreement; Lupita can decide what to do after that. When Lupita stares at him
in disbelief, LCJ understands what she must be thinking. This sounds like a
science fiction movie…he feels the same way. He asks if she can imagine coming
back from the dead with a different body and a different life…he understands
her perfectly. Lupita thinks it’s like waking up from a dream, so LCJ questions
if she really thinks that they are all dreaming and that she, Juls, and the
transmigrants are all having the same dream. When he tells her about the other
transmigrants he has met, Lupita looks at him as if he is crazy. LCJ tells her
that the face she is making is the same face he had when he found out.
Meanwhile, Beltrino goes to Lupita’s room and sees that she has left. Back at
Silvina’s, Lupita thinks that the jolt from the electric shock messed up El
Chino’s brain; he doesn’t even know who he is. LCJ sighs in annoyance and shows
her his butterfly mark. After Lupita tells him that she had already seen his
new tattoo, LCJ explains that it is the mark that all transmigrants have once
they return to the living. LCJ tries to
convince her by asking if El Chino knew about financing. When she replies that
El Chino didn’t even finish high school, LCJ uses financial lingo to explain
some business concepts. Lupita has no idea what he is talking about; so LCJ
tells her that that is his life...he is trying to explain that to her, but he
can’t find any other way. He then speaks in Italian, Portuguese and English; he
asks if El Chino knew three languages and understood about bonds. Lupita looks
dumb-founded and still doesn’t understand. (She then wonders if he might be interested
in a Lotto ticket…just kidding). LCJ
doesn’t understand either; he doesn’t understand at what point he died and
returned to the living. Lupita then asks where El Chino is. LCJ has no idea and
knows that this is very strange to think that he is in her husband’s body, but
he is talking from the soul of another. Lupita still doesn’t think it’s true.
When she tells LCJ that she will talk to Juls, LCJ reiterates that he doesn’t
want her telling Juls until they come to some type of agreement.
At an outdoor café, Juls
and Vale talk about their moment in the car; neither one wanted to stop. When
Juls asks what they will do about it, Vale has no idea; she is having trouble accepting
that she is gay. Juls feels the same way. Vale then tells her that she can tell
her for sure that she had never felt that way about a guy…Lucho does nothing
for her. The problem Vale has with Juls is that she can’t stop thinking about
her. Juls can’t stop thinking about Vale
either; they are in luuurve. Vale points out that Juls is in love with a woman,
but Juls clarifies that she is in love with her. Just then, Lucho calls, but
Vale doesn’t answer. She tells Juls that she should have ended it with Lucho
some time back; she laughs about the timing because Lucho was finally getting
better. Juls agrees that Lucho has been treating her well in the past few days.
When Vale worries that she doesn’t know what she will tell Lucho, Juls remarks
that this is something that no one should judge; this is something that only
they understand…and that is okay.
At the university, Lucho
is having a fit because Vale isn’t answering his calls. Sergio suggests that he
send her a message and wants the four of them to have dinner that night…he can
pick up Juls. Lucho feels that Vale has been acting very oddly lately…always
finding excuses not to be with him. Sergio thinks that Vale may be seeing
someone else; and Lucho has thought of that since she spends so much time with
Juls…maybe Juls introduced her to someone else. Sergio then suggests that they
have to do something to find out what is going on, maybe follow them to see if
Vale is going out with someone else…usually the duped one is always the last to
find out. Lucho clenches his teeth as he responds that Vale better not even
think about it or that will be the end.
At the Carvajal study,
Lucía shows Johny the origami bird she found on the banister. Johny thinks that
there are too many things…someone is trying to mess with his head and make him
go crazy. When he wonders who it could be, Lucía doesn’t know, but the origami
bird was a secret that only she and León shared. Johny insists that it has to
be someone very close to the family, the house, to everyone. When Lucía again
insists that it is Eva, Johny’s light bulb flickers and he assumes that is why
Eva returned to live there.
At Cami’s house, Hec-Maru
rants about being fed up with Maru’s life. He doesn’t understand why death
brought him back…if death gave him a second chance, he doesn’t understand it.
When Cami asks if the bullying continues, Hec-Maru snaps that it does; he had
never had to experience anything like it in his (other) life. When he adds that
he was always on the other side, Cami questions if he was a bully. Hec-Maru
admits that he was…because he could; people would get close to him because they
were either afraid of him or they wanted to be his friends. Now no one wants to
get close to him; he is the brunt of everyone’s jokes. Hec-Maru is getting nothing
from this; and he needs Cami to give him some answers. When Hec-Maru suggests
that Santos may shed some light, Cami tells him that Santos died…and he doesn’t
know what happened to him yet. See,
Hec-Maroo, there is hopeo for you too.
At the hospital, Beltrino
is deep in thought about his own predicament while Alicia tells Javier that a
donor has been found. Javier mentions that he has to undergo a radiation
treatment prior to the surgery. After Alicia looks back at Beltrino for
support, she explains that the treatment will be somewhat strong; Javier will
not feel well for a while, but he shouldn’t be scared because she and his
father will be there. Javier, however, isn’t scared because all of this will
help him have a normal life; they need to do what they need to do…he is ready.
After Alicia gets Beltrino’s attention, Javier gets a call so it gives Alicia a
chance to rag on Beltrino for being so distracted and not listening to what his
son is saying. As she talks, Beltrino walks in a stupor; so Alicia asks him to
tell her what’s going on so she can help him. Beltrino looks at her somberly
and tells her there is nothing she can do. Beltrino looks tired and forlorn as
he leans toward Alicia.
At Silvina’s house, LCJ
has given Lupita a few minutes to reflect. He stands beside her and asks only
one thing of her—to continue to protect her daughter because these people will
continue to look for El Chino. When she questions how much he could know
because supposedly he knows nothing about El Chino, LCJ replies that he knows
that they tried to kill her, that she was in the hospital and that he saved
her. She insists that he had said he only knew of figures and business, but LCJ
points out that when these people find out that she made fools of them, they
are going to want revenge. Lupita cries as she insists that he is El Chino…it’s
his face, his mouth, his eyes…but when she looks into his eyes, she adds that
it’s not his look.
When she
asks who he is, LCJ replies that his name is Jacobo Reyes and she need not know
anything else. He is Vale’s chauffeur and he needs her to keep this secret.
After he swears that he will try to help them and insists that she need to keep
his secret. Lupita still has a hard time believing that he isn’t El Chino. LCJ
gets exasperated and reiterates that he is not El Chino…he doesn’t know if El
Chino has another body or soul…or if he is in heaven, but if he were El Chino,
the first thing he would have done is look for his wife and daughter. LCJ again
pleads with Lupita to keep his secret.
And if you don't, you will be wearing funny clothes over at Whispering
Pines, Loopi.
At
Barb’s house, Barb is on the phone trying to give up her house when she hears
the voice say, “Don’t do it!” She hangs up and asks who it is and where he is;
so the voice replies that he is everywhere. As she asks again where he is,
Beltrino enters from behind her and scares the heebie-jeebies out of her.
Beltrino tells her that since he saw his body, he can’t think of anything else
and has a million questions. Barb blurts out that there is a spirit there with
them and shouts out that she is leaving the house and the business to try to
get the voice/spirit to show itself, but when nothing happens, Beltrino looks
at her as if she has totally lost it. Barb hopes that Beltrino won’t laugh at
her, but he only asks what the voice said. When she responds that it told her
not to leave the house and that it is everywhere, Beltrino suggests that it is
no use for her to leave; if it is everywhere, it will follow her. Barb loses it
a bit and doesn’t know why this is happening to her; so Beltrino suggests that
she ask the spirit what it wants.
At the
Carvajal home, Eva is in the bedroom texting away when Mateo enters and asks
what it is. Eva thinks he is asking about her texting, but he asks about the
stuffed teddy bear instead. Eva responds that a child gave it to her at some
foundation she went to visit. Mateo reminds her that she doesn’t like stuff
like that and she agrees, but adds that in seeing the child’s face, she just couldn’t
resist. Mateo wants to know what kind of expression the child had so he can use
it and be irresistable too. Two words Mat:
Tattoos, Guns
At the
scorpion’s nest, Gancho is cutting up a teddy bear and explaining to Alacrán
how the bears will be used to export coffee to Spain. Alacrán is excited
because if this goes well, they can get rid of the Cartel de los Armenta.
Gancho sarcastically comments that Servando won’t be happy; and Alacrán adds
that Armenta better get ready because this war is about to start.
At the
Carvajal study, Lucía receives a call from Armenta to ask
how she liked her gift. Lucía replies that it is quite scandalous as is the
color. After Armenta remarks that he wants her to think of him every time she
uses it, Lucía responds that she has enough reason to think about him. Lucía
then makes it clear that she is not looking for a mate and that her heart is
closed, but Armenta growls that she will be ready when he says so…because he is
the man of her life! After Lucía ends the call she slouches back and sighs in
aggravation. Johny thinks this will not end…this is very serious. Note:
even jumping off a cliff ends.
At Silvina’s house, Juls
and Vale return and are all smiles. When Juls sees her mother sitting at the
table and looking dejected, she wonders if the narcos returned, but Lupita
tells her that she hasn’t been feeling well and needs to go rest. As she walks
away, Juls knows that something else is wrong with her mother, but Vale thinks
that Lupita is reacting normally since she is still recovering and adjusting to
the new environment.
At Cami’s house, Hec-Maru
shares that he went to see his family only to find that they are doing well
without him. Cecilia is with some guy…it’s clear that he’s her boyfriend. He
understands that life goes on, but it hasn’t even been 6 months since he died
and she is already with someone else. And his son, whom he taught how to play
baseball and pitch is now more interested in skateboarding. Cami suggests that
Hec-Maru find a way to get close to his family. When Hec-Maru thinks that he
can’t just go tell them who he really is, Cami clarifies that is not what he
means, but Hec-Maru does have everything he needs to get close to his family.
At Mayela’s dressing
room, Vicky and Mayela look at Renata’s profile to find out more about her.
When Vicky sees all the pictures of Renata’s cat, she laughs and tells Mayela
that it reminds her of her aunt’s aunt who was 80 years old and died single…all
she left were her cats. Mayela sees a picture of Renata in a dress and
criticizes that Renata dresses like an old lady…Renata is too cheap for ‘her’
Guille. After Vicky comments that Renata leads a boring life, she thinks Mayela
should relax and not worry…she doesn’t think Guille would set eyes on someone
so simple…unless he just wants to take her to bed. Mayela scoffs at the thought
since Renata doesn’t even have what it takes to attract men in that way…it’s
obvious that she is a virgin.( WAS, Mayela, WAS.) Vicky assures Mayela that Renata is far from
being her rival. (Maybe even more
outlandish than the story LCJ told Loopi.)
At the cafeteria, Renata
has a big smile because Guille invited her to the theater and is waiting for
her out in the parking lot. Keila, however, won’t let her go until Renata tells
her exactly what is going on between her and Guille. Renata is about to burst
with joy as she tells Keila that it’s official; she and Guille are dating.
Keila wonders about how they will handle work; so Renata replies that, at the
company, Guille will be her boss, but outside of work it’ll be all fun. As
Renata runs off to meet Guille, Keila tells her that she better tell her
everything later.
Outside, Mayela and Vicky
are on their way to the parking lot. Vicky has to go back to her office and
tells Mayela to wait for her in the parking lot. Mayela then sees Renata
striding to the parking lot with a big smile; so Mayela follows her and sees
Guille get off his car to greet Renata with a kiss. Renata tries to tell Guille that he shouldn’t kiss her there in the
parking lot, but Guille insists since he can’t resist her. He continues kissing
her until she gets in the car…while Mayela watches in disbelief. (Isn't she supposed to melt now?)
At
Cami’s house, LCJ explains to Hec-Maru how he is trying to get close to his family.
Hec-Maru doesn’t think he can do the same and thinks it’s not worth it, but LCJ
assures him that it is definitely worth it. Hec-Maru thinks this is still
crazy, but thanks LCJ anyway before leaving. Once gone, Cami lets out his
frustation; Hec-Maru tires him out. LCJ insists that Hec-Maru is going through
a hard time and thinks they can help him. Cami harshly reiterates that he is
tired and Hec-Maru doesn’t change. LCJ then asks about the forensic report.
Cami worries about that because the report showed that all of Santos’s blood
was frozen.
Vicky
meets up with Mayela who looks absolutely stupified. When Vicky asks her what
happened since she looks like she’s seen a ghost, Mayela tells her that she
won’t be able to make dinner; she has an appointment with the dermatolgist and
she can’t cancel it. Vicky is bewildered as Mayela walks off. Dermatologist, witch code for suicide
hotline.
At
Cami’s, LCJ comments that it is impossible for Santos’s blood to be frozen.
Cami agrees, but that’s what doctors indicated…frozen blood. LCJ is exasperated
because they don’t find answers, only more questions. He adds that now Lupita
is in the picture since she alone found him out; he had to tell her everything
regardless of how strange it sounded. LCJ hopes she believed him because if
Lupita tells Juls and Juls tells Vale, they will be in a doozy of a problem.
At the
Carvajal study. Mateo is summoned by Lucía and Johny who want to know how much
he knows about Servando Armenta. After Lucía admits that she has a problem with
Armenta, Mateo relates the people in a cartel are very odd. He gives Alacrán,
the leader of the Cartel de los Sierra, as an example. Alacrán is a thief, a
murderer...a nobody who rose to where he is now. On the other hand, there is
Armenta who is a more sophisticated narco and has more refined taste, but that
doesn’t take away from how dangerous he is. When Mateo warns Lucía to stay away
from him, she responds that it won’t be easy…because the man is obsessed with
her. Mateo then tells her that Armenta is very unpredictable…she needs to be
careful. After he offers to help in any way he can, Lucía and Johny thank him
for his support. Both make mental notes
to add a “Do Not Revive” clause.
At
Silvina’s house, Lupita sits in her bedroom thinking about her conversation
with LCJ. Meanwhile, in the other room, the girls celebrate that they were able
to get everything they need. After Juls comments that she would have had to
leave to another city or country, she sees Vale’s book that Cami wrote. Vale
explains that Cami has been a long-time friend of her father; and his book is
like a bible for her since it helped a lot after her father’s death. When she
adds thai it helped her think that her father is not totally dead, she explains
that it is really about reincarnation…more specifcally, it deals with people
who die and leave things pending that need to be resolved…and they return to
resolve their problems. Juls, who has been laughing all along, doesn’t think
those things are true. Lupita listens from the next room as Juls recalls how EL
Chino died, resuscitated and said that he was another person. Juls thinks El
Chino was affected by the electric shock in his brain. Vale points out that it
could have been true, but Juls insists that everything has to have a scientific
explanation. Vale assures Juls that Cami is a scientist and his research is
very important. Vale then gets the idea that they can go have lunch with Cami
so he can explain his theories. Juls agrees and can’t wait to hear what Cami
has to say.
Outside
the Carvajal home, Johny is about to leave when LCJ drives up and parks
blocking Johny’s car. After LCJ gets off the vehicle, they stare at each other
then walk toward each other as if they are going to go at it, but they only
stare each other down until LCJ does his infamous eyebrow-lift and asks what is
going on. Johny is about to turn and leave when LCJ taunts him about his facial
expression and asks Johny if he likes him. LCJ then wonders what is wrong with
Johny since he gets so nervous. After Johny holds his tongue and only tells LCJ
to move his car, LCJ turns and comments on what a pity it is that León didn’t
find out who his ally really was.
Later,
LCJ walks to the poolside where Lucía is waiting for him. Lucía misses him and
she doesn’t know what to do with this need to know what he’s doing all the
time…this dependency bothers her. When LCJ suggests that he can leave, Lucía
looks at him longingly and tells him she needs him. LCJ ponders how someone
like her could be dependent on someone since she can be free; she has
everything…money and power. When he asks what else she could need, Lucía
replies that she called him to order him that first thing in the morning, he
kidnap her and make love to her all day long.
At the
hospital, Beltrino is at the cafeteria looking perturbed when he looks up to
see none other than R-O-S-I-T-A! He is quite surprised and asks what she is
doing there; so she sits by him and tells him she has been looking everywhere
for him…everyone at the university misses him. Beltrino looks around nervously
to see who may be watching and tells her he can’t go because he is there caring
for his son. After Beltrino tells her that his son is better, Rosita strokes
his hand as she asks why he hasn’t responded to any of her messages. He replies
that he can’t because he is there dealing with his son’s illness. Rosita
explains that that is why she decided to come in person…to see how his son was,
but above all, to see how Beltrino was doing. As she looks at him seductively,
Beltrino tells her to behave.
At the
Carvajal poolside, LCJ tells Lucía that her request is quite interesting and
provacative, but wonders if she wouldn’t be taking too much of a risk in being
found out. Lucía is still in heat and tells LCJ he is right; she is a free
woman and should do what she wants…and what she wants is to be with him. LCJ
then gets closer and asks Lucía how many secrets she has; she replies, “Not any
more secrets than you have.” When she asks what his secrets are, LCJ thinks its
time they share secrets. Lucía smiles as
she thinks about everything else she would rather share…
At the
hospital, Beltrino thanks Rosita for coming and tells her to go home. Rosita
asks if he doesn’t like her company anymore, but Beltrino insists that she leave;
so Rosita agrees, but gets up and adds that it’ll be only after she goes to see
his son. He sits her down again and tells her she can’t go see his son since he
is in critical condition. When Beltrino adds that things are complicated right
now, Rosita remarks on how stressed he looks. If he’d like, they could go out
for a while..he’d surely feel better. Beltrino looks torn because he would
reeeally like to go, but can’t. Rosita reminds him of going to the park and
eating ice cream; he promised her a bunch of things…he said he would take her
to a pretty place…and they’d do many things…he promised! When she asks if he
remembers, Beltrino replies that he doesn’t forget those things. He breathes heavily as she looks at him with
her seductive eyes; he tells her that she makes him feel like his old body.
Rosita wants him to tell her how that feels; and as Beltrino asks if she wants
him to explain with apples or oranges, they hear Alicia call out,
“Beltrán?” She must be wondering how he
slipped his collar off.
