Mi Marido Tiene Más Familia, Capítulo 77, Tuesday, January 1, 2019; Julieta is in critical condition, Sebas is repentant—but too little too late
Labels: mimarido2
"Robert is worried and crushed as he watches his wife on the edge of death’s door" was the ultimate summary of a devastating episode.
Grim and heart breaking...
This was a very high price to pay for the brothers' reconciliation. They were fortunate to be relatively unscathed.
I wish David had been a bit more forceful toward Sebas, but he wouldn't have listened, would he??
"they will find out how this fire began. [Well I guess they won’t have to look very far.]". No.
Driving to work this morning, I kept thinking what should happen to Sebas. Sometimes, I think guilt is enough, especially for a child to bear. I think in this circumstance, that is not enough. That said, I don't know what the fitting punishment should be.
I cringed watching Lupita tell Dave she would never forgive him.
As Julieta's life hangs in the balance, I am hoping for a quick resolution. For Robert and family and for us.
No sunshine last night but an excellent, thoughtful recap Cynthia.
Your screen shots were simply superb. Thank you.
Diana
(Rhetorical questions...)
Can Viewerville hope tha Sebas has truly learned a lesson?
Will Julio's heart change toward his brother?
Will Susana finally get a clue?
Why didn't Vicente let Sebas go home with him? (Oh, right, that would involve parenting work)
Why isn't Julieta wearing a standard issue telenovela neck brace???
Diana, I, too, am hoping for a quick resolution. We are lucky this novela moves at a pretty good pace. As for bratty Sebas, he needs to be under court supervision and in some kind of psychological treatment program but that isn’t really punishment, is it? That is just where he should have been for a while now. Susana and Vicente need to be in a parenting class themselves. They both have been useless. It was rather funny in an ironic sort of way that “preferred parent” Vicente didn’t want to take Sebas home with him.
Trivia:Another actor from Por Ella soy Eva, is Diego played by Nikolás Caballero who played Lalito Elena’s little son. I thought he looked familiar.
Ari really is confused. It looks like Diego is going to help him get “unconfused” one way or the other.
doris and Jarifa, I appreciate your comments on Vincente. I thought he brought Sebas to the hospital to see the damage he'd done first hand. So, he just didn't want to bring Sebas home with him. Sigh.
"Ari really is confused. It looks like Diego is going to help him get “unconfused” one way or the other". I could not understand the conversation except Ari told Temo he cared about him? or was it something stronger Jarifa?

Do you all remember how Palomita (on Doble Vida) would say that someone "cae pesado?" Well Sebas is definitely one that "cae MUY pesado!" I was really surprised that he fessed up and admitted what he did. I think an appropriate punishment would be that he would have to pay LOTS of "community service" hours to those he injured...kinda a like a slave! I would be satisfied with that.
I too hope that Juls will come recover quickly. That scene where Robert was watching her having a seizure was scary and heartbreaking. He seemed truly devastated...again, great acting.
Doris, I luurve your avatar too! It is so cute! Where do you get all these cute images?
Jarifa, I think Ari will soon become "unconfused" too. Diana, Ari actually told Temo "Te quiero." That little phrase can mean so many things depending on the circumstances. It can be interpreted as "I love you," "I like you" or "I want you." Now if Ari had said, "Te amo." then we would definitely know that he meant "I love you."
You did an excellent job of catching the key dramatic screen shots as well as recounting all the action--and reaction. Superb job Cynthia. Thank you.
Doris, I'm just impressed with anyone who can keep changing avatars. I was coached into doing it once, and I've never tried again. Lazy brain for sure.
Gabe Soto! Woooo! Can't wait!! OK, but he is way too hawt not to be paired up. Who will be the lucky lady??
I saw Mi corazon es tuyo but have no memory of the twins. I will when I see them I hope.

So is there Juvenile Detention in Mexico? I wonder if Sebas will have to be placed under some kind of Juvenile detention? Will he be charged with a crime?
Jarifa, I agree that Susana and Vicente need parenting classes. Both have been too involved in their careers and have overlooked their children.
I hope Julieta doesn't die....that would just be too sad.
So Gabe Soto is coming to the show? I wonder if he is family or what? I like him and I remember him from Vino el Amor.
I was exasperated with Susanna when she wailed to Sebas that it was all her fault.. that she should have been there watching him, to prevent everything, and that she was a terrible mother. Way to teach him responsibility for his actions! At least his dad told him off a little. Mostly he got hugged and petted by everyone, more affection and attention than he’s gotten before. I see a life of crime for him if this keeps up.
I was also amazed about the whole concept of fireworks in a forested area. Here in Southern California if you so much as look cross-eyed at a pine needle, it’ll catch fire and whole national forests burn down, taking nearby homes with them. I live just blocks from the mountains, in a suburb of Los Angeles, and all fireworks are outlawed in the cities lining the mountains. Fireworks IN the mountains? Good grief.
No light-hearted comedic TN this. Poor Julieta is back in a hospital bed, yet again, and most everybody else is behaving badly or is bummed out by others' bad behavior. I'm depressed too.
What can I do to snap out of it? Maybe have some pan Bimbo and a Corona beer. And find images of Juan Osorio on the internet so I can make a decent voodoo doll of him to stick needles in. Many needles.
Some good comments on fireworks near forested areas. I remember all those old Smokey Bear PSA's about a single match being able to burn down an entire forest. Yet people would have fireworks there???

The big revelation for me was how stooopid Hugo is. When Julieta's life is hanging in the balance, Hugo gets ticked off because his mom has a younger boyfriend? Idiot.
Susana needs as much therapy as Sebas does.
I grew up playing with fireworks, under adult supervision, every Independence Day. Even as a kid I knew lighting them in an enclosed space is dumber than dumb. I don't know what the writers have in store for Sebas and Susana to turn themselves around, but I sure hope it involves therapy.
Rgv Chick, ITA on the community service for Sebas.
I'm just not in favor of fireworks. Beautiful but deadly.
"Mostly he got hugged and petted by everyone, more affection and attention than he’s gotten before. I see a life of crime for him if this keeps up".Hmmm. Good observation Maggie.
Diana
Yes, right next to the Rosa Parade! A propos of all this, my husband is a parade volunteer and is right now working the float viewing. His assigned float: the one that caught fire! He says it's a main attraction.
I'm amazed your city allows fireworks. Even the cities near me that aren't so close to the mountains have outlawed them.
Here when it's fire season(which is most of the time) every time I hear a helicopter I go out to anxiously check the mountains. Parts of my town have been evacuated in the past due to very near fires.
I was astonished that they would even film a fire in a forested area!
I don't know what is so fun about fireworks. I enjoy a professional display show, but not having everyone and their pet rock lighting fireworks on July 4th and it happened on New Year's Eve too.
I remember Smokey --- " Only YOU can prevent forest fires."
Worn out by dear granddaughter today, and I have her again tomorrow, so I'm watching tonight's episode in "real time."
ITA that parents like Susana are what help create criminals. Denial, no consequences, etc. 😐
