TELEMUNDO Y MÁS (#1): Falsa Identidad, Jugar con Fuego, Señora Acero 5 y más: Week of January 21, 2019

Welcome to Page 1 (Monday edition) of the Telemundo y Más page, issued twice a week:  Mondays and Thursdays at 8:00 PM.

Here are the current evening telenovelas (all times are Eastern Standard Time):
  • 9-10PM - Falsa Identidad - Monday Finale
  • 9-10PM - Jugar con Fuego - Starting Tuesday
  • 10-11PM - Señora Acero 5
The Turkish telenovela La Sultana ended last Friday, and the sports competition Exatlón replaces it with a new season beginning Monday, January 21.

Replacing Falsa Identidad on Tuesday, January 22 will be the 10-episode mini-novela, Jugar con Fuego, that Telemundo describes as a seductive thriller, full of desire, passion and betrayal.  Carlos Ponce and Gaby Espino will be in the cast, along with other well-known actors.

Everyone is welcome to join in the conversation.  Since discussions of all the Telemundo novelas share the same page, please remember to put the name of the telenovela you're referring to at the top of your post so readers can easily find the conversation they're looking for.

By common agreement, this group DOES NOT discuss previews, trailers, or any other plot information not found in a current or past episode of the current production.  Spoilers WILL be removed by the admin.  This includes references to earlier productions of the story, and even the original novel.  Thanks for your cooperation!

"Betty en NY" starts Feb. 6th.

FALSA IDENTIDAD – CAPÍTOLO FINAL – Parte 1 de 3

Scenes of last week

- Mateo tells Circe he can help her find Gavino.
- Isa, Amanda and Ricas are kidnapped by Circe with some of Alex’s thugs.
- Frank Scavo tells Diego about the offer of witness protection.
- Amanda and Ricas escape from the wire cage.
- Baldy and Salas talk. Salas tells him it doesn’t matter if he says he didn’t kill the Guevaras; Baldy won’t believe him.
- Gavino pretends to turn on Circe with a weapon and Circe commits patricide.
- Amanda calls Marlene to say she and Ricas got away but her mother is still there.
- Circe pulls Isa up on a chain above some RR tracks. But Porfirio grabs Circe from behind and saves Isa
- Porfi should have bashed Circe harder. She comes to and fires. I think she means to shoot Isa, but shoots Porfirio instead.

Circe gloats over Porfi and Isa, saying “what God has joined together…” But Diego comes up behind her. She points a gun at him saying she’s going to kill him. But Isa pulls a gun and shoots Circe, I think in those hard-to-miss hindquarters.

Diego and Isa get Porfi to his feet. Sadly, they don’t put a bullet in Circe’s brain, and we see her move a bit.

Circe’s pet detective has disguised himself as a federale and drives away in the van in which Felipa and Alex were handcuffed in the back.

Diego can’t get a signal to get an ambulance for Porfi. Porfi asks Diego to care for his children as if they were his own and then dies. Isa doesn’t want to leave him; she keeps saying he’s not dead. But Diego tells her they have to leave so her kids don’t end up without any parents. Diego leans over and promises Porfit that he’ll care for his children.

Mateo and Pollo arrive at the place where Circe had taken Isa. I guess Mateo keeps tabs on everyone by monitoring a police scanner. We see Diego dragging Isa away kicking.

The cops find Circe and call an ambulance.

Mateo peeks under one of the cars and sees Porfirio sprawled out. He begins to moan and whimper with grief. He almost runs toward his dead son, but Pollo stops him.

Fernanda, very sad and grave, calls Frank Scavo to say that a “suspect” has been arrested for what happened to the Guevaras, and her son has been proven innocent of their deaths. She insists that Frank keep his word and offer witness protction for Diego, Isa, and the children.

Isa and Diego come to the hotel where the gang has been hanging out and she has the horrible task of telling his children that Porfirio is dead. Ricas runs out into the hallway and Diego comforts him there. Amanda tells Isa the whole thing is her fault.

Somehow Baldy has acquired his own desk in Police HQ. He tells Fernanda Salas will be taken to Sonora and tried for corruption and abuse of power. Then he’ll have to be judged in the US for what happened to the Guevaras. Then, he does a very un-Baldy thing. He gives Fernanda the three false passports. [Does Baldy have a tiny little heart after all?]

FALSA IDENTIDAD – CAPÍTOLO FINAL – Parte 2 de 3

We see scenes of Ricas sobbing in Diego’s arms, while Isa comforts Amanda. Poor Paloma sobs alone.

Mateo tells Pollo that Isabel took his son. [Come on, idiot! She left your son because he was beating her. And the one who killed his son was Circe!] He swears he’ll get his grandchildren back. [What about being a fugitive from justice in Sonora, dummy?]

Pollo tells Mateo they have to flee. The plane is waiting for them, and Ramona is also waiting – in Tijuana.

Salas is walked past Baldy and Fernanda. She protests about the handcuffs. They tell each other that they love each other and they take him away.

Frank calls Fernanda to say he’s leaving for D.F. early the next morning. He’s gotten the witness protection agreement for Diego.

Chucho comes home after a hard day trying to find work. Diana is waiting for him. She tells him she was jealous having seen him with Mara (when?]. She goes on to say that Mara told her how much Chucho missed her, and she also missed him. Later on she tells him she wants them to marry.

In a refrain of the scene where Eliseo burned Diego and Isa’s old ID’s, Fernanda cuts the photos from the false passports and burns them.

While Isabel talks with Marlene, her phone rings. [OT: What in the world did they do to move plots along in telenovelas before everyone had a cell phone?] The caller is Mateo. “You took my son!” She calls him Don Mateo and tells him that it was Circe who killed Porfirio. “And you left him there to run away with your lover!” He says he always knew she’d be Porfirio’s Calvary.

He’s got crazy eyes and tells her he’s going to do the same to her as she did to him. She took his son. He’ll take her kids. He says there is no place in the world where she can hide from him. Isa hangs up.

Circe is handcuffed to her hospital bed. Some doctor tells a guard that the DEA wants her and they need to guard her at all times.

Diego protests to his mother about what Salas did so he could get away. But Fernanda tells him that that’s how Salas wanted it to be done. Frank calls Diego and tells him he wants Isa and Diego to meet him at the airport. Everything is arranged.

Isa tells Diego about Mateo. But Diego tells her that won’t happen. He has witness protection and Mateo won’t be able to find them.

FALSA IDENTIDAD – CAPÍTOLO FINAL – Parte 3 de 3

Isa, Isa. You drive me crazy! She tells Diego they can’t go. Today is Porfirio’s funeral. Fortunately Fernanda and Diego talk some sense into her.

Nuria leaves rehab. [Wow! That was quick!] She embraces first Doña Cata and then Erick.

Deivid and Diego talk on the phone. Deivid’s wedding is about to begin Diego says he’s sorry not to be there to sing mariachi songs with him. Deivid tells him Chucho will be his witness.

Circe thrashes around in her bed trying to free herself. Of course the ones who supposedly have come to transport her are Alex and some thugs. She cries out with pain when Alex lifts her off the bed. [Good!]

Amanda has a new look: braids and her hair off her face. [She seems pretty calm; must be harder to glower without those bangs.] Isa tells her about Mateo pursuing them.

Diego tells Ricas that he knows how sad he is because he also lost his father. He promises both children he won’t try to take the place of their father. But he’s going to look after them and work hard so they won’t lack for anything. He wants them to be a family. [A miracle! Amanda nods her head.]

Marlene and Isa bid each other a warm and sad goodbye.

Diego tells his mother he loves her. She says that, when things settle down, he’ll send her a ticket to join them.

Circe is being embraced by Felipa. She’s groaning with pain. Alex and Circe’s Pet Cop shoot some of the black helmeted federales and the car speeds away.

Diego, Isa and the children arrive at the airport to meet Frank. Mateo and Pollo arrive at the same time. Diego has on some clear glasses. Not that great of a disguise.

Frank tells them they’ll be protected by the US Government. He shows them new, US passports. They are Oliver and Lisa Dunn and the children are Mary and Jason, citizens of the United States. He tells them to forget their old identities. He hands them tickets and says they should board now. People from the FBI will meet the flight when they arrive.

Pollo waits while Mateo enters the airport with two rent-a-thugs. He warns them not to harm his grandchildren, although it’s fine to shoot Diego.

In the getaway car Circe coughs up blood and Felipa yells for them to hurry.

Mateo looks around and sees Isabel heading toward the gate. He yells her name; and she turns around. He shows some wimpy guard his badge and tells him that woman is Isabel Fernandez and she kidnapped his grandchildren.

Isa, Diego and the kids are in the boarding line. We see Mateo on the other side of some glass, unable to approach. Some guard tells Isabel that she can’t board. Calm as can be Isabel shows the guard her passport and says: “No, I’m not Isabel; I am Lisa Dunn. And I am an American citizen. These are my children and this is my husband, Oliver.” [Well, she says this in Spanish.] We see Mateo snarling behind the glass. And then:

…..Continuará…. [to be continued…] So I guess there’s another season of this novela. That surprised me.

Identidad

Stupendous recap, novelera! And full of delicious snark. What a hoot!

I did not expect that ending! Or lack of ending….

Telemundo is really bringing it. When Celia came on a few years back, I couldn’t believe what I was seeing. Amazing, naturalistic acting, beautiful scenes and settings wonderfully lit and filmed, period costumes, period cars, a massive amount of extras. For some reason, a lot of the cast and the extras were phenomenal dancers too. It all was light years away from the telenovelas I’d seen up until then.

And then came Mariposa del Barrio, not as big-budget, but again, splendidly written and acted.

And now we have Falsa Identidad. It’s very typical telenovela fare, of the bloodbath genre, with a huge body count, drug kingpins, lots of tattoos, car chases, guns guns guns, and lots of bits that are totally unbelievable. The whole fake ID idea was a fun addition, and so was Babel.

But still! The camera work and lighting were movie-worthy. The script was far more meaty than we usually get in telenovelas. Best of all was the acting.

My faves (I’m using the characters names instead of the actors, because I’d have to look a lot of their names up):

Mateo – brilliant!! Joselito, Porfirio, Ramona, Circe (she was also terrific as a young Jenny in Mariposa), Nuria, Nuria’s mom, Paloma, Chucho, Isaabel, Piochas – he doesn’t have leading-man looks, but I hope he gets some great parts in the future.

The Diego and Gavino actors have done very similar parts before, but they’re great at it.

The kids were wonderful. And so was everyone else.

But I have to mention the real star of the show – Circe’s red lips. They would float, phantom-like, into a scene before she herself arrived. Kiss me, they said.

Identidad

Thanks, Novelera. Terrific recap. My fave: But Isa pulls a gun and shoots Circe, I think in those hard-to-miss hindquarters.

I’m disappointed there was no gran finale. I did like Dievid and Gabi's brief wedding scene though. Dievid was guapisimo in a suit, and Gabi was fab in a knee-length white lace dress.

I was so bummed out by Porfirio's death that I couldn't get into Chucho and Diana's makeup even though I like them.

I expected Amanda to blame Isa and Diego, but from her expression she seemed to be blaming herself, like she blamed herself for Isa's kidnapping because she (Amanda) had run away.

I can't imagine what part 2 will be, if it really happens. Joselito and Gavino were two of my favorites and they're gone. If part 2 is all about Mateo stalking Isa, I'll take a pass.

Maggie, your "the real star of the show – Circe’s red lips" is a hoot. Now I'm trying to remember if the red lips were still with her in her sick bed at the hospital.

Identidad

wow, such a wonderful recap novelera!

after reading your summary, I guess I really wasn't paying attention, I found this gran final to be just more of the same.

loved your Circe's "hard-to-miss hindquarters", and Amanda's "must be harder to glower without those bangs".

Dianita's therapy must have done wonders, since she popped in to proposed to Chucho, was Mara at the wedding?

still trying to figure out where Marlene's worldly advice comes from since she spent all of her adult years with Disgusto.

miraculous cure for Nuria, now going home to a jobless life with a food addicted mother and sleazy bartender boyfriend, no chance of a relapse here.

I did like Isa's quick thinking in flashing the new American identities.

Identidad

Deb, now that you mention Nuria's "jobless life," I just realized that pretty much everybody in the TN is jobless. Diego, Isa, Marlene, Jim, Chucho, Dievid, Fer. I'm thinking gigolo Erick is the only one with gainful employment.

identidad--
Novelera--You tied it all up in a neat bow. Thank you and thank you, Juanita, for all you did. It was a job beyond the call of duty.

I'm disappointed the writers didn't tie it all up. I'm crushed that we at least didn't see the nueva familia make it onto the plane. Plenty of speculation could have been derived from a scene like that for a Season II. Anyway, I'm glad it's over. Juego might be entertaining, but certainly not as complicated OR long as Amar, which I'm going to stick with till the end. See you all here on Wednesday, same time, same Caray.

Salas is "out of a job," too, Niecie, so is Paloma.
In addition, should we count Ramona, waiting in vain for Mateo, Felipa and Circe? Certainly the hindquarters and red lipstick will be out of commission for awhile.

I wonder if "Alex" is going to feature in Season II. Although he's a dangerous sleaze ball like JJ, I might come back to watch. I'm surprised they didn't give Ricas a big boy haircut and dye Isa's hair a lighter color.

Amanda actually looks nice and neat, but now younger than she did with her bangs. A young adult on Tierras Salvajes is also wearing a bangs and straight dark hair coiffeur and she doesn't look as mature as her best friend who has a short haircut. Ah well, these are merely the trappings of the story--but sometimes they become important. We'll see. Hope Amanda meets an American Edgar. She still needs a friend. I didn't get her sudden about face either regarding who was to blame for Porfi's death.

The Chucho-Diana resolution was too hasty. They probably haven't been asked back, ya think?

identidad

Thanks for the compliments, all. I actually expected the finale to be harder to recap than it was. A lot of things could be summed up with a line or two. And there weren't any new and exciting Spanish slang and/or idioms to throw in there.

I was gobsmacked, really, that they're continuing the show, although I generally liked it. At least it wasn't ALL NARCOS all the time. There were other sub-plots - Babel, etc.

Goyri was fantastic. The man had a code. He knew his number was up and decided to let Circe finish him off.

Alex didn't do a thing for me. But their introducing him so late in the show kind of makes sense in light of the reveal that there will be an Identidad Dos. That Aquarium thingy was up there in my Top 10 hokey TN moments.

Deb, you cracked me up with Nuria's going home to a food addict mom, sleazy boyfriend and no job being a high possibility for a relapse.

I really felt for Paloma. She was such a pill at the beginning, but she totally redeemed herself and became a friend to Isa. In fact she was willing to give up Porfi because of the "girlfriend code" until Isa gave her the green light.

Maggie: I'm happy to hear you approve of Telemundo's professional quality productions. I mostly just focus on whether the characters are realistic, and Diego and Isabel were more than realistic for me.

It does sort of seem that the characters who got a "happily ever after" will be written out of the sequel: Chucho/Diana; Deivid/Gabriela.

I also loved your "red lips" comment, Maggie!

Niecie I was also bummed by Porfirio's death. OTOH, not sure how they would have handled his ever being able to see his children if Isa/Diego were in Wit/Protect.

Anita I also hope for an Edgar in the US of A for Amanda. She drove me nuts the whole way through, but the wire cage and her part in drawing her mother out of hiding kind of cooled her jets.

Telemundo has done many other novelas that take place in the US. Al Otro Lado del Muro dealt with something a bit similar. The female protagonist had to leave Mexico to escape her crooked husband, the governor, and the knowledge she had of child trafficking.

jugar

Is anyone going to watch this 10-episode novela?

If no one else offers I might put something up for the premiere.

I felt so sorry for Paloma. She finally gives in to love only to have it killed off on the last day. Boo. Can't believe they're doing another season of this, but I hope it takes place in Jim's new club where Paloma has a headline act. I'd like to see more of the choreographer. Too bad Porfi couldn't join them. Didn't think it was possible to redeem him, but heck if they did a good job of it, even if he still wasn't much of a singer.

And Circe's obsession with Diego was really too bad, because given her defense of the women and making them serious players in her organization, illegal and terrible as it was, scored her points in my book. She coulda been a contender, but no. Now she's stuck with Alex and deserves to be for the whole second season.

Jugar – Premier Episodio

I'm in. I liked the first episode. We’re in Colombia. A lovely woman, probably over 50, stands on a high rock, crying, and screams aloud.

We see a road with lots of coffee plants on all sides. A handsome guy is driving a van. He has a gun. He has blood on him, but doesn’t seem like he’s dying. Some guys in a jeep are following him. One of them leans out the passenger side and fires at the guy repeatedly.

Six Months Before

The handsome guy, Fabrizio, is checking bags of coffee in a warehouse. He senses that someone is there. It’s Camila (Gaby Espino). They proceed to have hot sex between (or upon) the burlap bags of coffee. It’s clear she’s someone else’s wife.

In a nice plantation house, Jorge Jaramillo (Carlos Ponce) sits down to breakfast with his wife, Martina (the woman screaming on the cliff at the beginning). He asks her why Andrea isn’t breakfasting with them. Gilardo, a sneaky looking employee is also having breakfast. He rats out Andrea (Jorge and Martina’s daughter) for renting some kayaks for some friends. Apparently Jorge is having this weasel review his daughter’s credit card bills.

We then see Andrea, Jorge’s daughter, with a fancy camera. She’s just come back from studying in the US. She’s taking pictures of the workers, artistic pictures.

Some woman whose name I never got arrives in the area on a bus. A greasy villain (if I ever saw one) approaches her and immediately comes on to her. He’s offering a ride and to carry her suitcase for… She offers to buy him a drink. She ends up getting a job cleaning in the bar until she can find something better. The owner of the bar seems to be a nice man.

Jorge chews out his employee Gilardo for some delay at the warehouse.

Andrea flags down Fabrizio and asks him for a ride. She’s kind of snotty with him, letting him know she’s the boss’s daughter.

Camila comes home after her roll in the coffee beans and greets her much older husband, Peter. [I have seen Tony Plana, the Cuban-American actor who plays Peter, many times on US TV. He’s always good.] He tells her, innocently I think, that he heard that someone was having sex in the warehouse. She looks startled and he says it wasn’t their warehouse, rather the one owned by the Gaiani Plantation (Jorge’s).

Andrea insists on taking her mother shopping, saying her clothes are out of fashion.

Peter asks Fabrizio to come to an event he’s hosting for coffee distributors. He says the wives get bored, and he wants Fabrizio to entertain them.

Camila is revealed as a not very nice person. Some piece of clothing has been damaged by the maid and she wants to fire her. Peter is kind, saying the person has worked there 10 years and has 8 kids.

Jorge tells Martina her dress she was going to wear to the event is not suitable for someone her age (!).

Fabrizio tells the fancy party at Peter’s the story of the origin of coffee. He then blindfolds some of the guests and has them do a blind taste test, while he strokes Camila’s shoulders!

Jorge and Martina argue because Andrea isn’t meeting her father’s expectations. He doesn’t want to support her forever; he wants her working in the business. Andrea tells him she’ll be in his office in the morning.

Camila texts Fabrizio and they swim nude not that far from her house where her husband is sleeping. Yikes!

The two villains get together. Greasy villain from the bar has gotten a gun for Gilardo. After the purchase the greasy villain gives Gilardo a bag of marijuana, Gilardo says he hates Fabrizio. Evil guy tells Gilardo that guns like him (Gilardo); women not so much. This infuriates the guy and he fires a gun at greasy villain’s feet.

Peter wakes up when his and Camila’s son Diego gets into bed. Peter gets up and wanders around the inside of the house.

The last thing we see is Peter opening the drapes. I think this is a red herring. It’s too early for Peter to find out about his wife and Fabrizio

Jugar

wow, amazing recap novelera, you really nailed all the details which is nice for the premiere.

ooo, greasy villian Eliseo (Ricardo Vesga) who sold Gildardo a gun, he was the foreman in "Esclava Blanca".

ah Camila, with coffee beans in her hair, did she know Fabrizio from an earlier time and place?, she says she owns him.

Jorge (Carlos Ponce) is one unlikable dude, and his daughter Andrea (Laura Perico, ¿Dónde está Elisa?, El Clon) is not far behind.

loving the accents!

"JUGAR":

Juanita: Peter has no idea his No good wife is cheating on him SMH.

Jugar

Thanks, Novelera. I haven't watched this premiere yet but it will be great to have your recap by my side when I do. I like Carlos Ponce, so I'll see if his character makes me not like him.

Identidad – for Novelera

Back to Telemundo and its great productions… while I very much admired the high production values of Celia in particular, and also Mariposa and Indentidad, what just blew my socks off was the acting. Somebody (the producer? I don’t know who decides these things) decided to really go for it, getting good scripts, outstanding actors and probably directors too… and hit it out of the park. I would sit in front of my screen and go wow wow wow. You don’t see acting like that on US network TV. Actors here get Emmys for far less.

Now I’m worried about Baron. I’m tied up watching a couple of daytime repeats of Univision telenovelas and didn’t plan on watching Baron. But it looks like it’s going to be a great one too.

The Univision (Televisa I think) ones are older, with acting in that more melodramatic, mannered style, (longgg significant looks, copious tears streaming down cheeks) but somehow they’re very fun. Comforting somehow.

Jugar

Niecie, you will notice when you watch this show that Ponce has a beard that almost reaches Old Testament prophet proportions. I kept peering at it, wondering if it was pasted on there.

Ponce's character was kind of harsh, not supportive of his wife and pushy with his daughter. But I didn't see him, at least in the first episode, as being an outright villain. We'll see how it develops.

I don't plan to recap every one of the 10 episodes; so if there are any volunteers out there, it would be great and a fairly short time commitment.

identidad - Telemundo General

Maggie, thank you for your excellent comments about Telemundo's programming. I agree that they have shown some terrific novelas lately. I also loved La Mariposa. Michel Brown was excellent, as was the lead woman, can't remember her name.

My theory is that Telemundo caters to immigrants to the US. I think Spanish speakers living in the US may like the more realistic plots Telemundo offers. And some of the shows actually take place in the US: Al Otro Lado Del Muro; Bajo el Mismo Cielo; En Otra Piel, etc. These novelas sometimes include the problems faced by undocumented persons.

Yes, once in a while the old fashioned Uni novelas DO seem almost comforting. The female villains wear makeup that looks put on with a trowel. And you can envision the villains twirling their moustaches.

One short novela that I really liked was Falco. Also Michel Brown and it took place in Mexico City. But I really enjoyed the way it was done. Falco had his own personal case to investigate, the person who shot him. But each week there was a different case for he and his partner to solve, usually homicide.

I haven't liked the previews of Baron. The guy looks like an egocentric idiot. And mostly the 10:00 Telemundo hour is 100% narcos all the time.

I know Falsa Identidad had a narco flavor, mostly in the last third. But our heroine did not live with a capo, nor run drugs herself.

And I think their remaking Betty won't interest me. What I've liked about Telemundo is few to NO remakes. So I don't know why they decided to do another Betty. I won't be watching.

Jugar

Good grief, the guy Jorge (Carlos Ponce) has on his payroll to check on his daughter's spending is a PERV. I don't even want to think about what he was doing writhing around in her bed -- and neither does the maid who spotted him leaving the bedroom.

Jorge is controlling. Too bad his wife lets him get away with this. But I'm not so sure he's bad. He says the wrong things to wife and daughter, but he does seem to care about them. At least he's pushing his daughter to take on the business, rather than pushing her to find a husband to take on the business.

Wondering what the relationship is between the older woman and Fabrizio. Is she a past lover, friend, or his mother?

Don't blame Peter one bit for killing the road hijackers that would've raped Camila. She seemed shocked though that he was so deft with a gun.

Novelera, I did indeed spend a lot of time trying to figure out if Carlos Ponce's beard is real. I vote "yes."

Identidad

Hello, Telemundo Patio!

Just wanted to stop by and give a big thank you to the recappers and commenters for their outstanding dedication in bringing such entertaining recaps and comments to the viewers. I did much more lurking and only commented a few times, but I surely enjoyed and appreciated everyone's thoughts and insights on "Falsa Identidad."

I was disappointed with so many cliff hangers and unresolved storylines, but oh well, they had to do something to try to bring us back.

"JUGAR":

Niecie: The big question is does Peter (he's the Latino version of "Scotty Doesn't Know" in my book) know that Camila is banging somebody else ?

I mean I think he must've saw them banging each other.

On Jorge: I do agree with you that he's a complete control freak in terms of his wife & daughter, yet the guy he hired is PERV indeed.

RGV Chick: I'm assuming you've watched this TV Show as well ?

Jugar

wow nifty little summary Niece!

and there are Andrea's friends, who she did a float trip with ?? and tented with her BFF, living as a hippy as Jorge puts it, always obsessed with her camera, and these desperate hugs with her mother every time they see each other.

yep. Peter is no pushover (look out Fabri) did he shoot both guys "again", then left them, were the local police "asking" him not to do that.

Eliseo seems to be the local dealer, pills too, and does the hiring for ???, perfect friend for psycho sniffer Gildardo, poor Thiago running into those two, but Fabri doesn't look away, was he ready earlier to do a nooner with one of the coffee pickers?

I think Camila likes a bit of danger, and can't get enough, and them sleeps with her husband, what? and he's got the blue pills to keep up.

yes, and what is the Dolores connection, the bar keep tells her his place is not a bordello.

Jugar

oh and Fabri's friend (that he called brother once) he develops cremes and such from coffee ??, love it that Camila has the smell of coffee about her, because of something she uses, right? or is it from the back corners of the warehouse?

"JUGAR":

Deb: Sooner or later, Peter is going to figure out that Camila is banging Fabri & he's going to kill one or both of them at some point.

Every time I see Camila, I just look with DISGUST at what she's doing: kind of reminds me of Tyler Perry's "Addicted".

Jugar

I’m so glad some of you are watching this. I’m enjoying it. It’s more in line with a traditional novela; i.e., rich people behaving badly . And, although I enjoyed the colorful slang in Falsa Identidad, the constant bleeps were annoying.

Yes, I think Camila has one of those sexual perversions I’ve heard of in which the person gets a lot of gratification by the possibility of being discovered in flagrante.

Boy, the actor portraying Gilardo is doing a great job of being disgusting. It seems to me he’s obsessed with his boss’s daughter. He seemed to enjoy ratting her out to her father. And, IIRC, he was watching her by the side of the river with her friends. Rolling around on her bed and smelling her clothes – ghastly.

I don’t think Peter killed the potential robbers/rapists. He shot the first guy to get him off Camila. And then he shot him again in the other shoulder in a cold fury, saying “No one touches my wife but me!” This is pretty ironic in view of what Viewerville knows.

I think something is going on with Gilardo and Eliseo (bigger greasy, ugly villain). It looked like Eliseo is simply selling drugs. But Jorge was pretty testy about something that happened at the warehouse. I’m not sure if it was shortages or late deliveries. But I’m wondering if there’s some thievery going on.

And what they did to Thiago appeared to be just sadistic behavior. They wanted him to get drunk again and jeopardize his job as music teacher. Anyone remember what Martina’s role at the school is? Principal?

Niecie, yep, the older woman who was “applying” for a job working in the coffee cultivation by bedding the disgusting Eliseo has some past relationship with Fabrizio. What she said was that she’d come to collect her “debt”.

I kind of think that Poncho is really Fabri’s brother. Somehow the two of them got into trouble with some men in Mexico who were, I think, actually going to kill them. Didn’t they keep asking Poncho where to find Fabrizio?

I’m confused by the references to “cream”. Fabrizio IS working for the coffee company but apparently has a side business manufacturing face cream? Where and when does he make it. He appears to spend all his extra time betraying the very nice Peter with Camila.

identidad

Thanks for thinking of us, Rgv Chick. Yep, we were very surprised by the cliffhangers. I personally think Diego, Isabel, and the children WILL board the plane. Isabel showed that guard a perfectly good passport with her new name. I can't see how they could detain her as Isabel Fernandez.

Jugar

Deb and Novelera, Thanks for fleshing out the events. I'm still trying to figure who's who and what's what.

Yep, Camila loves the thrill of almost getting caught. I'm not so sure Peter doesn't know what she's up to though. Nobody goes out for a swim in the middle of the night alone, so he's crazy to buy that. But then, this is a TN.
