Mi Marido Tiene Más Familia, Capítulo 106, Tuesday, February 12, 2019; Caught Red Handed or The Truth is Revealed!

We begin with Neto on the phone with Arturo who has just been able to go inside Neto’s Miami home. He tells Neto that the place has been emptied out, as if burglars came in and took everything. There are few things left, some clothes, and other miscellaneous items, but mostly everything is gone, even the computers and the children’s laptops. While he is on the phone, Guido rudely interrupts and says, “I want to see you now!”  He asks Guido to please wait because he is on an important phone call regarding the property he left behind in Miami. Guido agrees to wait. Guido is not happy about Neto’s report that the mescal is watered down. Artura says he will send whatever is left to him. Then Neto tells his children the bad news.

At the burned children’s foundation, Linda recalls how Clarisa told her that she needs to speak with Axel about something and it should be immediately. Linda puts the thoughts out of her mind as she sees Maria sitting by herself. She goes over to offer Maria some lunch and tells her even though she isn’t that good in the kitchen, she made some great peanut butter sandwiches.  But Maria says she isn’t hungry. “Not even for a small bite?” says Linda. As Maria pulls out the apple and reaches for the sandwich, Linda notices a burn mark on Maria. Maria goes to cover and hide it.

Linda has summoned Tavo to help with Maria to find out what the real story is on how she got burned. Linda tells her she can trust them. Maria recalls how “Raul” came at her with a hot iron because she didn’t fix the iron after she broke it. Then she says that she is careless or distracted and that’s why she got burned. Linda asks if this is the truth. Tavo says, “I think this foundation is a safe place for you and we are here to help you in whatever way we can.”

After Ari told Temo about the Yolo kiss, Temo gets very upset and frantic. Ari tries to reassure Temo, but it appears Temo isn’t satisfied and although he trusts Ari, he doesn’t trust Yolo. Then he adds, “She’s going to come to this school, isn’t she?” Ari says, “Not only that, but she is also going to come back and live in our building.”

Imelda and Blanca are giving motherly advice to Daniela as she takes care of her triplets. Then Imelda mentions that she is going to go over to visit her “novio”. Blanca is shocked as she didn’t know that Imelda had a “novio”.  Imelda says she has already told Eugenio. She happily goes off singing, “la, la, la, la, la.” Daniela looks down, not saying anything. After Imelda leaves the room, Daniela tells Blanca that Mássimo is also seeing Crisanta! Blanca says, “Oh no, not again! Both of them have chosen the same man.”

At the school, since Hugo could not figure out who was responsible for the “incident” he is let go as Director. According to this administrator, he had plenty of time to find out. The administrator reinstates Diana as the Director. Grecia explains that they still can find who did this and she will help, so will Diana. [Yeah right about Diana.]

Later, Dani seems overwhelmed with the three babies and can’t figure out why they are crying. She calls for Blanca to help her. Finally, the babies are calmed down. Eugenio is even holding one of the babies. Dani explains how it hurts to see them crying, but Blanca tells Dani to relax because it’s all about learning. The babies will recognize her voice, her scent, her skin and that who they want to be with.

After Neto gets off the phone, he goes over to Guido who tells him, “My grandfather is going through a very difficult time right now. My cousin just died and what you are trying to tell him is going to make things worse.” Neto tries to explain that someone is contaminating the bottles of mescal. Guido claims that this mescal is of the highest quality. He gives Neto a sample of a good bottle of their mescal. And being the expert that he is starts saying it has a citrus flavor, with sweet overtones. Guido says this is proof that there is nothing wrong with their mescal. Guido starts to show him out, but then Mássimo appears. He says he has been thinking about what Neto has said.

Neto is able to show Mássimo the bad mescal that he brought from the restaurant. Then Mássimo asks Guido about what happened. Then Neto gives his version of what he thinks could have gone wrong because he believes that the actual end product is of very high quality. Neto explains how his mother is from Oaxaca and his mother showed him everything he needed to learn about mescal. He wanted to even manufacture mescal himself, but wasn’t possible without the needed capital. Then Mássimo says, “I think I was wrong about you. Why don’t you come to work for me?” Then Guido, who is none too happy to hear this, comes over and says, “Why don’t we talk about this first? But Mássimo says that Neto has proved himself and deserves another opportunity and offers Neto a job. He tells Neto he can start in the fields and Neto is grateful for the opportunity. He shares with Mássimo that after his deportation, he was left with nothing. Then Mássimo explains that Guido will be his boss. [Oh no!]

Temo is on the phone with Diego who is coming up with a plan to stop Yolo. The kids all get together in a classroom to implement a plan against Yolo and they all swear to secrecy to not tell Ari. At the same time, Ari is in the school office with Diana and Hugo who offer him scholarship applications and tell him that he can also give music lessons at school to cover his tuition.

Polita is happily selling her juices to her friends and dreams of being rich. Rufo tells her that if she grows her profits, his profits grow. One of he women she sold to also wants to see this juice and Polita says she can put her beneath her and Ari’s place. Then she says to him, “I know you are the same guy who was helping Xavi and Marisol with Xavi’s career. Do you think you could help me with my son Ari’s career?” Rufo says, “Of course I can. Ari’s career is in my hands.” [Oh Polita, you need to give Marisol a call first.]

Pancho and Susana go to visit Eugenio to ask him to be the Padrino at their wedding. And of course since Eugenio will be the Padrino of honor, the Blanca would be the madrina of honor. Eugenio accepts and says it will be an honor to him.

In the hallway of the Córsega building, Tulio finds Audifáz talking to the plant. Tulio says, “But Audi, our father is dead, what are you doing talking to the plant?” Audi tells him, “Do you ever think that the past seems to catch up and return to us? I just really want to find out if this man Ernesto is the son of the Yolotl that we once knew. I just feel something in my heart.”

Neto is trying to explain to his children that things will be improving. He tells them he will be working for Mássimo and the restaurant. But Yolo isn’t satisfied. “If things do not improve in three weeks, I’m leaving back for the United States.” [I don’t know how she will pull that one off with no money. Plus she has no passport. She will have go to the U.S Embassy in Mexico City to get herself a duplicate.] Ernesto gets very serious with her and says, “Get that idea out of your head now! Our family is going to stay united and together. Things will get better.”

Then Imelda walks into the area where Neto and the children are talking. She wants to know what they are doing there so Neto explains he found work and he will soon be moving back into the building and they will see each other often.

The triplets are finally fed and sleeping but Dani gets emotional and looks up at Gabe’s photo on the wall and wishes that he could have been there with her to share in these moments. She says the babies are the love of her life.

Guido seeks out Axel and tells him he knows about Clarisa and asks if he has told Linda yet. Axel does not really want to discuss this with him but then changes his mind and finally tells him what is going on and that Linda won’t talk to him. Then Axel asks Guido since he eats with Linda if he can put the medicine in her food. [Adjust your beanies everyone, as antibiotics normally are a 7-10 day treatment about 2 or 3x per day for any infection.]

Temo, Sebas, and Julio are in the Lopez apartment and Pancho walks in. All of them stand up and look up at the ceiling. They tell Pancho they saw a little spider. Pancho is not falling for this but he leaves with his keys. Then David and Frida come up to the apartment. Later, they all approach Yoli with a proposition about getting all dressed up to have dinner with Ari. It seems she is excited about this.

Imelda is visiting with Mássimo and he’s telling her Neto’s story. Then they start to hug and kiss. In the background, Crisanta appears and catches them but doesn’t reveal herself immediately. She lets this go on for a few minutes before she decides what to do.

Grecia is knocking on the door of the Córsegas, but then Neto sees her as he is going upstairs. He has just come back from doing a little shopping. Then she explains that she is there to see Eugenio. Neto is quite glad to see her and says that they were destined to see each other again. Grecia says their first meeting was like a nightmare, but now it’s all turning out good. Neto also tells her that she is growing on his too, just a little bit. Then Eugenio opens the door to greet Grecia as Neto is standing there. Neto introduces himself to Eugenio, but just then Yolo comes down the stairs, yelling, “Dad!” She tells him she needs to borrow some money for something special. However Neto can’t give her any money because there isn’t any to give. So she gets angry and says she hates her miserable life there. As she goes back upstairs, Neto calls after her with her name, “Yolotl!” This then gets Eugenio’s attention. He turns to Neto and says, “Your daughter’s name is Yolotl?” Neto says, “Yes, she is named after my mother.” Eugenio says, “Your mother was from Oaxaca?” Neto says “Yes, she was. Did you know her?” Eugenio says, “Yes.” Neto again says, “You really knew my mother?” And again Eugenio says, “Yes.” Neto asks, “So how did you know her?” As Eugenio begins to answer, Blanca appears in the background and she hears Eugenio says, “She was my first love.” Neto looks shocked, but then Blanca says, “Your FIRST LOVE? I thought I was your first love!”  Blanca asks, “Eugenio, who was this Yolotl?”

Blanca wants answers and Eugenio says that he met Yolotl first. He isn’t getting out of this one very easily because everything he says to her is wrong. He tries to tell her that the real love was when he fell in love with her. But Blanca doesn’t seem to be buying it. Neto tries to diffuse the situation by saying that meeting Eugenio and finding out that he knew his mother is something really incredible for him. “Well,” says Blanca, “It’s not so incredible for me.” She says sarcastically. She goes on to tell Eugenio, “I thought there weren’t going to be any secrets between us!”

Back to outside where Crisanta is listening to Imelda and Mássimo talk, she hears Imelda saying to him that they need to come out of the shadows and not keep this secret any longer. “Eugenio, Blanca and Daniela all know that we are novios.” Crisanta’s mouth is wide open as she hears all this. Mássimo offers an alternative that they stay quiet about their relationship, but Imelda is wanting to tell the whole world! Crisanta thinks back to the time she was in the restaurant with him and he kept going back and forth and wondering what was going on. Now she has it all figured out that Mássimo was on a “double date” with the two of them in different sections of the restaurant. Then he tells Imelda that since she is a lady and he is a gentleman, they need to formalize all this with a dinner. At this very moment, Crisanta finally makes her appearance!

“And at this dinner are you going to serve your current Italian treacherous mescal?”

The children are having Yolo get ready for this dinner. But her twin brothers are a little skeptical about this and tell her that no one said it was for a “romantic dinner.”

At Pancho’s Temo is chopping vegetables and is doing it so furiously that Pancho tells him to slow down or he will cut his fingers.

Crisanta is upset with Mássimo and says she has the notion to hit him over the head with the bottle of mescal. Imelda then says to Crisanta that she is the official “novia” there. Then she kisses him in front of her. Crisanta then starts pouring mescal all over Mássimo. She explains that he did the same to her, he told her that she was the official “novia.” Imelda calls him a wicked Italian man and a “maldito”. Crisanta then informs Imelda that Mássimo was two timing both of them at the same time. Then Imelda pours mescal all over him in anger!

At Cklass, Susana is upset with a report and goes to tell Catalina that up till now, her reports have been accurate and impeccable. Now why is this report so bad. Catalina reveals that she was not the one who made this report. It was Axel. Susana apologizes and says she will talk with her son. Hugo goes to visit Catalina and informs her that the school fired him as school director.

Diana goes to the school office and wipes away a few tears and lays her head on the desk.

At Mássimo’s place, both Crisanta and Imelda keep hurling insults at him. But he isn’t going to be able to escape this one at all. They both yell “cynic” at him.

Blanca keeps yelling at Eugenio and says, “For 40 years we have been married and I never knew about this.” Blanca looks at Grecia and says, “I think you knew about this too! This family is a Pandora’s box full of secrets!” She looks very angrily at Eugenio and asks, “What other secrets do you have that I don’t know about?”

It was a fast moving jam-packed episode. I didn't get pictures, sorry. I usually try to get at least one. But not this time.

Excellent Cynthia.

“Then Mássimo explains that Guido will be his boss. [Oh no!] ” and “ [Oh Polita, you need to give Marisol a call first] were a few of your wry observations that were among my favorites.

“Axel asks Guido since he eats with Linda if he can put the medicine in her food”. There have been a few Linda Blair head turning moments here but this pretty much tops the list. The entire conversation was cringe worthy. Looks like Axel is not cut out for a high fashion career.

I can’t wait to see what the little darlings have cooked up for Yolo. I hope it’s a large helping of humble pie (among other things). :)

In all seriousness, Temo is really not cut out for a relationship at this point. He lacks self-confidence and becomes jealous and rather cloying all too frequently. It’s always hard to strike a perfect balance in any relationship, but it is hardest on the one who loves that little (or a lot) more. It’s been stated here before that they need to rejoice in the relationship and unless things change, Ari may start to feel stifled even more.

“Neto tries to diffuse the situation by saying that meeting Eugenio and finding out that he knew his mother is something really incredible for him. “Well,” says Blanca, “It’s not so incredible for me.” Yikes. Those fire breathing dragon looks Blanca was throwing Eugenio are not to be trifled with. Girl is angry!

The babies are sweet but Dani is going to need a village to help her.

Glad Mássimo was found out. Happy though that he offered Neto a job.

I wonder if Diana will suffer guilt to the point that she will need to tell Hugo the truth. I would have felt sorrier for him had he not ran to his mother who babies him incessantly, crying on her shoulder.

Susana and Pancho seem to be moving forward. Although extremely sweet, I just can’t for a moment think their relationship is “real”. I am hoping Neto and Grecia continue to move forward.

Thank you so much Cynthia! You didn’t need a screen shots. Your words were perfect.

Diana

Cynthia, thanks for the excellent recap but your red comments were the best! Loved them. Yeah, Polita should talk to Marisol about Rufo helping Ari’s music career.

Put the antibiotic in Linda’ s food like she is a dog? Even for a dog it would be a series of doses as Cynthia reminded us.

Yay! Crisanta knows the truth about that doubletiming Massimo.

Hasn’t Neto suffered enough? No he has to have Guido as his boss?

“I can’t wait to see what the little darlings have cooked up forYolo.” Well, I can’t either, Diana. Eventhough it is not the “appropriate” response from Neto, Yolo has been begging for whatever they dish out. I cannot wait.

The story of María being burned with an iron just makes my skin crawl.

Thank you for your recap, Cynthia!

We can probably add Domestic Violence to Jarifa's list of PSAs. More than likely that is the burn on Maria's arm.

I'm so glad Massimo is busted by Crisanta y Imelda. Bazinga!!!

Dani really does need help in caring for triplets.

Seriously, I wonder where Axel got his medical degree. Online? Sheesh!

I hope I will have time to watch this later today.

Cynthia: Your recap was AWESOME.

Thanks Cynthia. Oh dear, just when things seem to be looking up for Neto, we learn he will have the treacherous Guido for a boss. Not looking good.

As for Axel, yes, where did he get his degree?..from some online fly by night school. The whole storyline with him has been ridiculous from start to finish.

A PSA about child abuse. Yes, certainly needed. But depressing. As is Blanca's disappointment and poor Daniela facing life with three small babies and no husband.

I'll look forward to Massimo's mescal baptism however.

Thanks Ms. Cynthia. Always a pleasure to read your recaps.

Thanks, Cynthia.

Well, that old Lothario got busted. Good.

Axel is an idiot. I agree that It is unbelievable that he managed to become a doctor.

Got some more sad news today. My dear friend Gen who has been battling lung cancer for the last three years has passed away. She told me that she thinks my hub will be the person who meets her and helps her make the transition because that is what he always did..helped people. Very sad. It has not been a good fall and winter.I have lost the person I love most in this world and now a very dear friend.

Great recap, Cynthia. No screen shots needed. Although they are always a welcome extra, you recappers have a way with words that draws the pictures for us.

Throughout the first season and the beginning of this one, Hugo has had a heck of a time finding and keeping jobs, trying this new venture and that one, each being "the one" that was going to take the world by storm and make them rich. He was never successful, for one reason or another. Then, Diana, who had successfully climbed the ranks to become principal, was fired, albeit through no fault of her own (hello, Sebas) and through the miracle of Telenovelaland, up pops Hugo as the principal! So what does she do? Is she happy that ONE of them has a steady job? Is she supportive of her jack-of-all-trades husband who miraculously got hired and seems to like his job? NO! She, who has all the credentials to get another job in any other school, which would give them two solid incomes, SABOTAGES her husband, the mama's boy, in order to get her job back! SELFISH, silly woman. She better not complain about his joblessness, since it's her fault. I hope she gets found out.

Susanlynn: I'm sorry to hear about your friend, Gen.

RIP.

Are we sure Guido isn't planning to poison Linda?

Cynthia, thank you for this excellent recap. Your title(s) were much better than what I was thinking, "Eugenio steps in it."

Your recap is especially appreciated because our local Univision station seemed to have transmitter problems, though they never said anything. I kept losing the signal while other, non-Univision, stations were fine.

"Then Axel asks Guido since he eats with Linda if he can put the medicine in her food. [Adjust your beanies everyone,...]

No, Cynthia, beanies won't help with this one, this is too, too much. And from a doctor? Granted, an immature, not very bright doctor, but still...

No, not even in a telenovela. Ask Pee-wee Herman to slip prescription medication into someone's food, on a regular basis, without knowing the patient's medical history and sensitivities, allergies, etc., rather than simply texting her "I'm upset. I have an STD, chlamydia. I went to my doctor and I am now on antibiotics. What's new with you?"

No mention of "you". Linda is not so dumb she couldn't figure this out. Axel could be pretty sure of a response.     :-)

I'm still amazed that not one, but at least two women were willing to have sex with this guy.

andy

Andy, don't forget the third one Axel had when he was living with Linda, and Linda walked in on them. Ew. Axel did not want to be monogamous, and Liz broke up with him then and there. Must be slim pickings in Oaxaca.

Poor Imelda, her lipstick was particularly horrific in this episode. 🤡

Is Grecia the only character who is truly smiling, these days?

Thank you everyone!

Jarifa: You hit the nail on the head about Axel’s idea to have Guido give Linda the antibiotics in her food, is like what we do with dogs! Plus, all antibiotics need doses in at least 2x per day.
Andy: No beanies aren’t really helping with this one. LOL…Axel is as immature as Linda.
Anon @1:07: I agree, what kind of woman sabotages her husband’s success? I hope she gets exposed.
Susanlynn: I am so sorry about your friend. I wish there was something I could do to comfort you.
Doris: I think the Córsegas need to hire a nanny to help out with the triplets. Three babies are too much all at once.
Diana: I agree! It will be interesting to see what these kids have cooked up for Yolo. I’m sure it will be hilarious. I agree with your assessment of Temo. He is too young and immature for a relationship. He is way too insecure. Being so very insecure wears thin on any relationship.

doris, I completely forgot about Liz. Yeah, must be very slim pickings in Oaxaca.

:-)
