Mi marido tiene más familia Monday 2/11/19 Capitulo 105 Settling In

Neto notices the expressions on Imelda's and Audifaz's faces and asks if there is something wrong with what he said.  Audi says no and Imelda says that they never heard that name before. Neto explains it is from  Nahuatl and means heart. His mother was born here is Oaxaca so this is the country of his mother and of his ancestors. He feels as if destiny has brought him back here  to start over with his children. Neto asks them again to reconsider his request.  Suddenly, Audi says he thinks they might be able to come to an agreement. Another rent coming in is never a bad thing. Imelda  smiles and says they will discuss it and get back to him.

Still at Susana's, Yolo makes herself at home next to the pool with a glass of orange juice. Grecia recognizes her bathing suit on Yolo. Yolo had nothing and wanted to go out by the pool.  Grecia tells her it would have been better if she had asked.  If she had asked her to loan her a swimsuit and sunglasses, she would have said yes.  Yolo  knows it is a loan and she will return Grecia's things later.  Grecia tries to maintain her patience. As Grecia turns to get some sunscreen, Grecia looks at her  back and sees what she thinks are stretch marks and remarks how ugly they are. Grecia is suddenly back in her head upset and crying with blood all over her repeating "I killed him." Grecia calms herself down and she tells Yolo they are not stretch marks but even it they were it would be okay because they would be something natural. Yolo remarks not on her and calls Grecia "Greasy".

Grecia takes the sunglasses off of Yolo's face and tells her she thinks she should pay attention to her father. They need each other.  He is going through a very difficult time.  Yolo launches into how it was his own fault that this all happened  and that they find themselves living the consequences of HIS actions.  Grecia tries to explain that Yolo and her brothers are Neto's life.  Yolo doesn't think so. She has a tantrum and throws her orange juice on another pool chair. Grecia says it is only advice. Well, Yolo doesn't need her advice. She is not her mother.  Grecia continues,  informing her the longer it takes her to accept her reality, the more she is going to suffer.  Everything isn't bad. Yolo is out of there.

Neto sees Pancho at the bakery. Neto brings him up to date about the apartment rental. Pancho hopes Imelda agrees to rent to him. Neto asks Pancho is something is wrong. Pancho says Neto knows how you have to put on a good face in front of the children but Susana has returned to live at her own home. Pancho is afraid because he doesn't know if the wedding is still on.

Imelda is talking with Audifaz.  She just doesn't know after all of these years. Audi tells her they shouldn't get ahead of themselves because maybe he isn't related to the same Yolotl they knew.  Imelda admits that would be too much of a coincidence. Imelda says that life brought Juan Pablo back home to this building and now the same thing could be happening with Neto. That is why Neto and his kids need to get out of Oaxaca.  Audi reminds her that Christ would punish them for turning their back on him. They need to keep him close because if Neto's mother is the same Yolotl he and Eugenio fell in love with decades ago. . . All Imelda can do is say"What?" and grab his hand.

Neto helps Pancho load up his vegetables into La Burra.  He likes to work with his hands. Neto also needs a second job. He needs to enroll his kids in school. Pancho can help him out with that. They can go to the school that his own kids go to. Neto thanks him but doesn't want to take advantage of him. Pancho tells him to finish loading and he will give him a lift.

Breakfast has started at Susana's.  Sebas calls Neto's twins "little gringos" and asks if they are going to not go to school, or what?  Susana explains that the twins names are Andi and Santi and that their father went yo see about enrolling them in school.  Andi says he hopes tis a different school from the one Sebas goes to. Grecia asks Andi if they just can't all get along. They all might end up being friends.  Grecia made an appointment with the principal for their dad. Sebas is not happy they will end up at his school. Crisanta tells him to listen to what Grecia is saying. Yolo is still out at the pool.

Crisanta asks Susana what happened with Pancho. She explains that Sebas and Julio living in the same house was a lot harder than she had thought it would be. Susana feels sad.  Sebas spies on them.  Susana continues saying that things keep getting more complicated. Now Temo doesn't want to leave the apartment building because of Ari.  Crisanta understands that because Temo is in love. Susana says she and Pancho are between a rock and a hard place  because Sebas will not cooperate. She is feeling desperate.

In La Burra, Neto says he is the wrong one to give Pancho any advice on love because that is one area of life he has done very poorly in.  Neto hasn't been on a date in ages. His ex left him for man with more money.  Pancho thinks that always happens to the best men.  Neto explains that the twins were younger and so were able to deal with their mother's disappearance  more easily but Yolo was the one who was really affected by her mother's absence. He has to admit that Yolo and his ex are very similar.  He has tried to be a hands-on father with all three of them but Yolo has always needed her mother.  Pancho asks if he ever thought of tracking down his ex so she could help out with the children. According to Neto, it has been years since she has even come by to see the children and he has no idea where she is.  Pancho thinks with Neto as a father,  the children don't need their mother. Neto is trying to be the best father in the world.  Imelda calls Pancho and wants to know if he has a way of contacting Neto.  Pancho says he is right beside him in La Burra. Imelda tells Neto that have decided to give him another chance and  rent the one room attic apartment to them. Neto is ecstatic and thanks her profusely.  She reminds him that the same rules apply as before but if his daughter rebels again they are out.   They can move back in today. Neto says God bless her. Pancho tells Neto  that God sometimes squeezes your neck but he doesn't strangle you. (Dios aprieta pero no ahorca)Neto asks Pancho if he could please take him to his kids so he can tell them the good news.

Dani is in her babies' room with Blanca and Linda.  Dani says she will be strong for her children and her dad. Blanca knows that Gabriel is watching over them from heaven. Susana stops by with her gifts for the babies.  She explains that these are material things but she wants Dani to know they are a symbol that Dani and the babies can count on  her for everything. She realizes she will be their great aunt. The jubilant moment is interrupted by Clarisa calling Linda.  She just wanted to touch base and ask if she had spoken with Axel. Linda says she saw him yesterday but didn't want to talk to him.  Clarisa would like to tell her what Axel wants to tell her but it is not her place. It is serious. Linda needs to talk to Axel.

Temo is taking a video of Ari doing a dance introduction to his song. Ari convinces him to join him and they dance  together. Temo goes to upload the video to Ari's internet channel but cannot do it because Ari's data has run out on his phone.

Axel talks to Susana. She has turned into his best friend. He tells her how irresponsible he was. He has an STD.

Pancho, Neto and the kids arrive at school. The twins see a science lab and are excited. Yolo is complaining about how ugly it is but then sees Ari pass on by.

Temo goes to talk to Hugo.  Temo wants to pay the balance of Ari's tuition for the rest of the year anonymously. Ari cannot know.

Neto leaves the kids to go to the office. The twins go to investigage the science lab. Yolo sees Ari dancing by himself, grabs him and kisses him.

Neto tries to help Grecia not slip on the wet floor in the hallway and they both end up on the ground. They share a good laugh and the pain of having fallen. .

Tulio has come to see Audi and Imelda. He wants to know what the urgency is.  Imelda says she thinks that life is making her pay for another one of her big mistakes.  It seems that Yolotl Rey has returned. Tulio asks if she is he same woman who broke up the brothers?

Ari steps back and tells Yolo "NO!" and not to get confused. She just smirks.

Grecia and Neto sit up on the floor. They are still laughing. She tells him that their encounters continue to be memorable and painful.  Neto slowly moves his hand next to hers. She smiles.

Dani brings the triplets home. She proclaims Hermoso to be their guardian.

Susana tells Axel that the bottom line is that he has to protect himself better. Axel never thought it would happen to him.  Susana says that is what it is like when we are young. We think that accidents and other things like illnesses happen to other people but never to us. She says at least it an be treated. Axel thanks her for not judging him. That is how he knows that he can trust her. Susana tells him he is the only one that can protect his own life and the lives of the women he is involved with.  He told Linda, right?  Axel says he has tried twice but she won't talk to him.  Susana says it deals with her health as well as his, he needs to tell her  no matter how many times it takes until she will hear him.  They hug. Susana says she will always be there for him.

Tulio asks if they are sure that Neto is the son of Yolotl Rey.  Imelda says they almost are completely cure. She tells Tulio that Audi is insisting that she allow them to stay in the building. Tulio agrees Audi wonders if after all of these years Yolotl could shake up their lives again. Imelda says her grand daughter is  already doing so.

Ari asks Yolo that that is the last time she does something like that. She says YOU ONLY LIVE ONCE! He asks her to respect his relationship with Temo.  He would never be able to love her back. Yolo doesn't see the kiss as any big deal. She is going to be going to school there and they will probably be in the same class. Ari informs her that she went over the line. If they are going to be together in the same class, he wants her to know that he doesn't "like her". It is best that she set her sights on somebody else.

Hugo tells Temo he cannot make Ari's debt just disappear from one day to the next. Hugo wold surely suspect Temo.  Temo suggests that Ari be given a "scholarship" or something. Hugo says you have to apply for those.  Hugo has an idea. He gives Temo an application for Ari to give  extracurricular "art" classes at the school.  That is something they can do for students who need financial aid.   It would cover only part of his tuition though. Temo doesn't care. Something is something. Temo promises to pay the rest of Ari's debts long as he doesn't find out. Hugo smiles.

Grecia and Neto now up and off the floor flirt some more. She is off to the library. He is going to see the principal.

Dani introduces the triplets to Gabriel at her little altar to Gabriel in her room.  They will still be a team of five as Gabriel wanted.

Pancho talks with Susana. He misses her. She grabs him and hugs him. She tells him even though they are separated, it is best for the kids at this time.  He agrees. He hopes they can talk to them since it isn't that long until their wedding.  Susana doesn't want to delay the wedding and wants them to be a family, too. Pancho says his heart beats faster just thinking about her being his wife. He asks if she still wants to be his wife. Of course she does.  She hopes their great love will spread to their children, too.  He hopes it is all just a matter of time. Can he kiss the bride? Yes!

Neto is telling Hugo about his situation. Hugo needs the children's school records. Neto says they have not arrived from the USA yet.   He is sure it won't take long. Hugo tells him that the school systems are very different between the USA and Mexico. Neto asks if his children could take a placement test. Hugo repeats that he needs the records from the USA.

Andi and Santi are wandering through the school lab thinking of the experiments they could do. Suddenly, staying in Mexico seems better. Frida comes in and the twins are taken with her. Santi says they are most likely staying in Mexico and maybe she could help them with their subjects. She smiles.  Julio and Lupita come in and wonder why the Rey twins are in their territory. Santi asks if they have a name. The are the López's. They are the Rey's. The mutual harassment begins.

Eugenio tells Blanca he only asks God that his memory lasts a lot longer. He wants to remember seeing his grandchildren grow and spend lots of time with them so he can love them. With all that was going on, Blanca had forgotten the gift she brought Eugenio home from her trip.  The gift is  a pair of new shoes. She says they are a symbol that they will always walk together. Eugenio adds "hand in hand."

Imelda, Tulio and Audi arrive. Eugenio suspects that something is up.  Imelda insists nothing is going on. When  Imelda goes to see her great grandchildren,  Eugenio is still suspicious.

Imelda goes to see the babies.  Imelda tells Dani that being a mother is a natural process. She had three boys herself but not all at the same time.  Imelda is sure, though, that everything will work out.

Neto explains to his children that they cannot enroll at the school because their records have not arrived from their school in the USA yet.  The boys are upset they cannot study. Yolo moans that she told Ari already she would be in his class.

Grecia goes to see Hugo and ask that he make an exception for Neto and his children.  Grecia explains what the Rey children have been through and how they have literally nothing. If they do not help the Rey family, who will? Grecia tells Hugo that Neto is a man who wants to support his children. They should help him if they can.

As the Rey family leaves the school, Santi and Andi make it clear that they were impressed with the school. Neto says they will find another option.

Hugo comes out and calls to Neto. He needs to talk to him. Hugo will allow Neto's children to sit in on the classes.  Neto is so grateful. He is sorry to ask for special treatment but they need it right now. Hugo says it is only temporary. All Neto has to do is promise to get his children's school records so their enrollment can be formalized. Neto recognizes that the school is expensive and wonders if they have any scholarships or other programs to help with tuition. Hugo tells him that they  have a financial plan with interest, of course,  that would allow him to make tuition payments rather than pay it in a lump sum.  Neto can see himself with three of those plans.  Hugo says maybe there might be an opportunity for an artistic or sports scholarship.  It wouldn't be much but it would be something. Hugo asks if they will have the pleasure of having their children at their school.  Neto says yes! The pleasure will be all theirs. He thanks Hugo. Neto will do anything to see his children educated.

Temo talks with Ari.  Ari is distracted and worried about not being able to pay his tuition. Temo says he has found out about some financial aid that might be available.  Ari doesn't think it would work for him. Temo suggests that he give piano lessons in the afternoon and it could cover his tuition.  Ari thinks that would be okay until he can find another job. Temo asks Ari if there is something else. Ari says since their relationship is based on trust,  he is telling him that something happened with Yolo.  Temo is angry just hearing this. Ari tells him she kissed him.

Neto is at the distillery with is children.  He explains that tomorrow they will take placement tests and if all goes well,  they will begin school as planned.  Andi asks how he will pay for a school that expensive.  Neto says that is his problem.   They have nothing to worry about but need to be on their best behavior. Even Yolo agrees. Neto tells them that his friend Arturo is gong to send them their clothes and documents. Suddenly, Neto gets a call. It is from his Arturo in Miami. He has called Neto to tell him that his house was emptied out. All of his belongings are gone.

Comments:
It was good to have a rather calm episode with plenty of baby time, giggling and floor time for Grecia and Neto and soe sweet Pancho and Susi time.

Yay! Ari told Yolo exactly where to get off with her behavior. She was just as bad with Grecia and the "stretch" mark comments and calling her Greasy. I hope an anvil with her name on it is being forged as we watch.

Jarifa, fantastic recap of another good episode.

Loved “Pancho tells Neto that God sometimes squeezes your neck but he doesn't strangle you. (Dios aprieta pero no ahorca)” as well as "The mutual harassment begins".

“Imelda tells Neto that have decided to give him another chance and rent the one room attic apartment to them”. Imelda’s kindness and generosity know no bounds, does it? Phooey.

So there is a chance Neto could be Audi's?? Where's my beanie. I know one or two of the patio had mentioned Neto possibly being Tulio's. That might make a bit more sense. Either way, I have no doubt he is Eugenio's as when the two are together, the lights brighten and angels sing :)

"Yolo remarks not on her and calls Grecia "Greasy". Yes, Jarifa, I think a custom made anvil is needed. I have to say she has one of the biggest egos I can recall in such a young girl. The gaul of her to kiss Ari! And she wasn't in the least put off by his rebuff was she? Self-centered, self-involved are putting it mildly.

"He has to admit that Yolo and his ex are very similar". So the ex ran off with someone with money. I suspect she will need to make an appearance if Neto and Grecia are to be together in the end. Thoroughly enjoying their easy chemistry.

“She realizes she will be their great aunt”. I had to chuckle at the thought of Susana being a great aunt. In real life, she is a mother of fairly young children.

Perhaps it’s just me but I had hoped the Axel/Susana bonding would include topics of his hopes, dreams – not the sharing of his STD. Not sure why he would confide in his mother at his age. And for heaven’s sake, the man is supposed to be a doctor. Grumble, grumble.

Enjoyed every second of the babies. After their visit didn't it look as though years of stress and strain had melted away on Eugenio? More baby time can do nothing but help.

Things seem to be going on remarkably well with Blanca and Linda pitching in with the kids. I wonder if we are going to be shown what it is really like with three screaming infants?? But happy to see Dani holding her own.

So now Neto's belongs are gone. Still, I sense rock bottom has not been reached.

Jarifa, another spectacular recap. Thank you!

Diana

Jarifa: This was a spectacular recap.

Diana, they have picked some cute cooperative babies. I loved them, too.

Thank you, Jarifa.

Babies always give people hope.

I have taught a couple Yolos. ..challenging to be in those orbits of youthful entitlement . I am getting tired of all the teenage angst this season. Just wait until real life hits you right between the eyes , boys and girls.

It is nice to have some New characters. I like Neto and Grecia together.

“challenging to be in those orbits of youthful entitlement” puts it perfectly! You have a good way with words, Susanlynn.

Time to get going and get something done! It is sort of slushy and grey but that is okay. We are headed to mid February so the end of winter is in sight. 👁 😊

OT...Jarifa...I just ran into one of my former students( who was nothing like Yolo or teen queens I taught ) at an awards program I went to at my granddaugter's elementary yesterday. She is only a few years younger than I am. It is odd teaching in a senior high school. When you first get out of college, you are only four years older than the seniors. Then, years pass and you are in the same senior activities with former students. Life.

Susanlynn, yes! it makes for some interesting encounters!

Hola Jarifa, thanks for another sparkling and detailed recap. I find myself fast-forwarding through the public service announcement parts, but there's still plenty to enjoy in this episode, particularly our biceps bodacious Neto and his budding romance with Grecia. She has a great smile. So does he. The rest of the package is fine as well. I'm happy at last.

Those twins are very cute, they're the sons of Osorio, no? Seems to be there were in another telenovela I watched with Silvia Navarro being a pole dancer.

Yolotl on the other hand. Frankly, if there were a "Me too" for guys in Mexico, she would qualify as a major offender. Entitled to kiss someone by force just because you find them appealing? Nopis.

It just seems so sad to me that the only way to get a good education for children is to pay hefty fees at a private school. I have a friend from Colombia who was able to get a good education (along with her five siblings) because her oldest sister became a nun, which enabled them to go to a good Catholic school. Her mother could never have afforded it otherwise.

So Neto hasn't reached rock-bottom. Now there's a sub-basement. Poor guy. Time for a little luck to go his way.

Thanks for the recap Jarifa. Soggy day here in Columbus. Snow in the forecast eventually. Time to toughen up and get through Winter. #makingthebestofit

Judy, loved "So Neto hasn't reached rock-bottom. Now there's a sub-basement:. I readily admit I enjoyed every minute of "our biceps bodacious"Neto as well! :)

I didn't realize the twins were more Osorio offspring. Have to say, I like them and they are just fine here. Can't call it nepotism (exactly) when the kids have talent.

My uncle was a priest (who died quite young). My single mother was able to send the three of us to Catholic school - gratis. I thought it was the right thing to do and was happy my mother had one less worry...

Diana

And for what it's worth, my uncle taught high school. He was loved by students and teachers alike.

Diana

JudyB, the twins are José Pablo and José Manuel Alanís Barraza. Yes, they were in “Mi corazón es tuyo” along with Emilio Osorio and Isabella Tena Nava who plays Frida. I like that Osorio kept the gang together. Just another way to draw people in. He seems to be quite the master at doing that since this keeps getting phenomenal ratings in Mexico. As a matter of fact, Ari and Temo will be taking their story on the road in a musical “#ArisTemo” complete with a psychologist to answer the attendees questions. Those two characters have been extremely popular.

Thanks for recapping....You covered everything in detail. How old is Axle? 16 ? He shares his predicament with his mommy?!! He’s a man doctor adult..treat yourself.....Now Yolo...I think she is gorgeous but nasty. So jealous of young girls, kidding. Then I noticed a small area on her cheek that had a small area of acne. So she is not so perfect....lol lol

Great job once again, Jarifa! You covered details that I must have missed when I was watching the show, so thank you for filling in my blanks. (I guess I have to watch it twice to get all the details.)

It was funny when Grecia and Neto fell on the wet floor and they ended up laughing about it themselves.

Yolo should be called out on sexual harassment. She had no right to just plant a kiss on Ari without his permission. It’s obvious he’s not into her, even if he is gay or bi, whatever, her personality isn’t going to attract anyone. I cannot stand her “entitled” attitude and borrowing from Grecia without permission either. When Yolo called her “Greasy”, that was a low blow. She is just so nasty! I like Andi and Santi though, they seem like very nice kids.

I hope Susana and Pancho don’t put off their wedding plans again. Maybe Pancho needs to buy a bigger house for all of them. Then maybe Neto and his family can move into Pancho’s apartment instead of living in the attic apartment.

Oh I forgot to add that I thought it was very weird the other day when Clarisa shared her STD problem by talking with Guido. Who does that? No young gal would share she had an STD with a male cousin, especially one as weird as Guido. And as for Axel, no guy would ever share that with his mommy. You just go to the doctor, get your antibiotics and be done with it.

Thank you for your recap, Jatifa!

The Neto/Grecia falling in the wet floor had me cringing. They could have had concussions or messed up their backs, Caray! Good thing that did not happen.

Axel/Susana/STD was a very telenovela beanie hat moment.

Yolo needs a string dose of Granny Clampett (from the Beverly Hillbillies), y pronto! Granny would have her scrubbing floors to get that attitude straightened out. Ugh.

Interesting that the Blanca theme music was playing when Hugo was talking to Neto about getting the twins into school. Apparently it is not exclusive to Blanca anymore.

Jatifa ... autocorrect prefers that spelling when I'm not looking. 🙄

Too bad Grecia enabled Yolo at the pool by not demanding she take off of the "borrowed " swimsuit and sunglasses. No consequences...ugh.

Yay...who just borrows someone's bathing suit? That's like wearing someone else's undies...ew.

I think that something is going to happen to Yolo that wipes that youthful , arrogant smirk off her little face.

Jarifa, thanks much for this excellent recap.

I'm completely in agreement with most of the comments here. Clarisa sharing her bad news with Guido, Axel with his mother! Jeeze, Louise!

About Yolo, I'm largely in agreement. She is mostly just insufferable. The kiss, however, is a different story. I think that 99 out of 100 boys that age would not (seriously) object, regardless of whether they were interested in the particular girl or not. #guysandgalsreallyaredifferent :-)

Guys cannot get away with this, girls can. It is different, though, if the guy has already said 'Go away, kid. You bother me.'

JudyB, that novela is "Mi Corazón es tuyo". A friend is watching it now on Galavision.

O/T: Light snow here today, but it should turn to rain a little later with temps almost at 40 deg F. I don't mind winter, I don't mind the cold, but I hate snow and ice on the ground.

andy

Andy B - I'm with you about the the weather. I can get used to cold (wear more layers) and suffer thru the heat bills. The snow and ice make it treacherous, however. Our winter has been very, very wet with some awfully sub-freezing temps from time to time, but nothing like the upper Midwest and New England states have had.

Susanlynn - "That's like wearing someone else's undies...ew. " Ew, indeed. LOL That girl needs some sort of mini-anvil. Soon. For being deported and homeless, she sure is lucky.

OT...schools here were cancelled on the prediction of a wintry mix. We did not get much snow. Only about 30.

Another excellent recap, Jarifa! Can't the Miami school just email the Rey children's transcripts? Schools do that all the time here. They could even send an "unofficial" set, followed up by a notarized set by mail. Actually, I don't believe that elementary school systems are all that different between here and Mexico, but the secondary ones probably are. I have had students who are children of Mexican immigrants say that their parents tell them how lucky they are to live in a country where secondary school education is free.

Anon, Axel is incredibly immature. His having to talk to his mother about his STD was worse than Claris confiding in Guido. They both were unbelievable, though.

Cynthia, Yes! You guessed it it. I do end up watching the episode twice but probably even if I saw the episode a third time, I still would discover details I had missed. LOL we need the Susi and Pancho wedding ASAP especially with Guido coiled in the background.

doris, Granny would have straightened Yolo out. Yes! Grecia should have demanded her things back then and there. It seems that everyone “ENABLES” Yolo. Perfect choice of word, doris. I wonder why everyone but Temo and now Ari seems to sidestep getting into it with her.

Andy, yes, the double standard is till alive and well with Yolo being able to get away with that kiss but a boy not. What is good for the gander should be good for the goose in this case.

Susanlynn, “that’s like wearing someone undies” exactly and worn by the girl who said she didn’t wear “used clothing.” Something isn’t working between those ears on Yolo’s head. “Ew” says it all!

O T......Spanprof...yes,some of my ESL students talked about their countries where going to school depended on this parents' ability to pay for education . However, some students had free college in their countries if they scored high enough on tests at the end of high school.

SpanProf, one would think that in the digital age obtaining transcripts/ grades/report cards would be as easy to do internationally as it is done within our country. Did they need a delay in the plot for some reason? 🤔 very funny.
