Alejandra
and the kids watched Jacob being taken away.
Nancy
reviewed a bunch of Carlos' cases, with Alan telling her that the
ones involving minors were handled pro bono. This was a political
point. She called it correctly that their firm's motto is to win at
all costs.
Victoria
told Sofia that she and Roberto are “just friends.” because he is
a womanizer. They looked en route to becoming BFFs when Ricardo
arrived and they talked about Miriam's case and Alejandra bringing
the children back to Mexico. He talked about Alejandra's
professionalism, then left the two ladies alone. Sofia asked
questions about Ricardo which seems to have tipped Victoria off to
her interest in him.
Roberto
told Juan he should fix up his office to be his; the feng shui thing.
They discussed Julio's case. Roberto was asked to assist on a
complex case so he handed Julio's case to Juan to handle on his own.
Gustavo
visited Ramiro in prison. He showed him El Gato's picture and
demanded to know who he was. Ramiro denied recognizing him or having
anything to do with the murders.
Ricardo,
Roberto, and Adrián
discussed the difficulties in Rafael's case. They went to talk to
him and found out that Veronica is willing to talk. However, the
prosecutor was told that she had been very affected by the death of
her husband. When the woman arrived Rafael said that this was not
Veronica. Sonia got hard-nosed, the woman tried to attack Rafael,
and his lawyers defended him, saying he is not acting in bad faith by
saying he did not know this woman.
Alejandra
called Miriam to tell her that Samuel needs to come to Texas to
testify. The children are currently with CPS.
Juan
called Fernanda to ask her out. She started to put him off, then
changed her mind. Later he took her to a good restaurant and gave
her a pendant on a chain. She told him she didn't want gifts as much
as to spend time with him. He understood that but said that
sometimes his time will not always be his own.
Alejandra
visited the kids at CPS to explain their situation. She updated
Miriam on the situation as Samuel packed his suitcase and made
reservations.
Rafael
began losing it in his cell and was incoherent in front of his
lawyers.
Alan
alerted Carlos to Nancy's curiosity and advised him to figure out how
to prevent her from finding out what they'd rather she not discover.
Staff
meeting at which Ricardo repeated the warning about keeping
information under wraps about the investigation into the murder of
Gustavo's family. They also discussed Rafael's situation and
hypothesized how this could have happened.
Ricardo
called Alejandra, who was a little nervous about the upcoming meeting
with the judge. The following morning she went up before the judge
and presented her case for the children leaving the country to be
with their mother. Samuel testified that Jacob punched him out and
forced him to give up the children's passports before taking them to
the US against their will. Alejandra submitted documentation of
Jacob's arrests for assault. Jacob spat when saying the word
“Mexicans,” which the entire courtroom found distasteful. The
judge ruled in favor of the children returning to Mexico to be with
their mother. Jacob threatened to go after them as he was dragged
out of the courtroom. Alejandra and Samuel picked up the kids and
they went out to eat.
Sofia
brought a file about the murders to Javier, who rejected her offer of
assistance, saying he prefers to work alone.
Juan
visited Eva in prison. She continued to deny knowing Mattias and
denied her involvement in the murder. Juan told her that this is
being investigated and she had better tell him the whole truth. She
continued to lie and cry, especially after he said that they know the
door to the house had been open.
