Ep 44, Part 1: She’s a Leavin’ on a Speedy Bus
Marina tells Pru that she only needs Beto’s proof of love…he needs to trust her. Yola and Dami suggests that Pru talk to Beto to make him understand.
Don L asks Beto if he is going back to the city alone, so Beto responds that he is leaving with Marina and Dami. Don L cackles since Beto is willing to leave with the ladies not knowing if the baby is his. Don L tells him to do whatever he wants; he already threw away his future…his marriage is bound to fail and he is going to raise a bastard. It’s up to Beto if he wants to live in misery. Sooner or later Beto will figure out that his happiness is not with that woman.
After Beto leaves, Su, who was listening as always, praises Don L for what he told Beto. DonL tells him that it hurts him to see Beto suffer since Beto is his son. Su tells Don L not to stress and argues that Beto will always see the face of the other man who abused his wife in the child.
Ramona tells Doc the current gossip about Beto and Mairna arguing and Marina getting into a taxi alone. Doc is happy to know that the marrieage is starting to crumble.
Erasmo asks Yola about their date. When Yola tries to get out of it since MARINA has so many problems, Erasmo is frustrated that Yola is using that as an excuse.
Marina thanks Pru for her support. Dami comes in and Marina gives her the money Baldo sent her from some sales he made for Dami. After Dami and Marina leave the room, Pru leaves as Beto comes in; so Pru talks to him there. Beto defends his position; he can’t accept the idea that the imbecile is the baby’s father. Marina listens from behind a curtain as Beto tells Pru that, as a doctor he needs that test. When Pru asks what will happen if the baby is not his, Beto responds that there are other options.
Vanesa tells Su that she had a talk with Beto. When Vanesa refuses to say what Beto told her in confidence, Su insists that she needs to know everything that happens in the house. She grabs Vanesa by the throat and demands that she tell her what Beto told her; so Vanesa tells her that Marina is refusing the DNA test for the baby.
Erasmo complains to Lino that Yola is avoiding their date and using Marina as an excuse. Lino then tells him that Marina is pregnant…and that she and Beto are married.
As Marina continues to listen from behind the curtain, Pru tries to convince Beto to accept the child regardless of whose it is, but Beto can’t; he thought his love could help him overcome everything, but it’s not enough. He wonders why Marina refuses to have the test done…and is even starting to wonder if his father is right about Marina having previous relations with Doc. Pru gets upset and tells him that he needs to think about it overnight and she hopes he comes to his senses.
Beto goes in to talk to Marina and tell her that he told his father to go ahead with the adoption. They argue again about the baby and how Beto won’t accept it as his until Marina tells Beto, “Good night.” (In other words, ‘leave now!”).
Don L complains to Pru that Beto is insisting on Marina getting their last name and his part of the inheritance. They discuss the baby and how Beto is refusing to acknowledge it as his until he gets a DNA test. When Pru insists that Beto will end up accepting it, Don L brings up Doc and Marina’s relations with him…there is no evidence that Doc raped her. Pru, in a fury, argues that just because there is no evidence doesn’t mean that it didn’t happen.
Ep 44, Part 2: She’s a Leavin’ on a Speedy Bus
Beto is in bed having a nightmare about Marina being in a wedding dress. He tries to go to her, but Doc appears beside Marina and won’t let him come close. He then hears a baby crying; and when he goes to lift the veil from the crib, he sees a baby mask! Meanwhile, Marina is boohooing as she recalls Beto’s words to his mother. She goes to wake up Dami and tells her that she is leaving…far away. She won’t be able to convince Beto that the baby is his and he will never forget what Doc did to her. Marina doesn’t care about or want the Ocaranza name or money. Dami gets up and starts packing a few of their things…wherever Marina goes, she goes. Later, they sneak out of the house as Mago sleeps on the couch.
Next Day—
Beto goes to Mago’s house looking for Marina. Meanwhile, Marina and Dami are boarding a bus.
At Mago’ s house, Mago finds a note that Dami left. Everyone is dismayed that Marina and Dami left.
Pru heads to Mago’s house when Don L tells her that Beto is leaving for the city. Su comes in and Don L tells her that Beto is going back to the city with the blind one. Su then thinks they have no reason to stay at the ranch; and Don L agrees.
Beto wonders why Marina is doing this to him, but Yola wonders who did what to whom. Just then Pru arrives and finds out that Marina is gone and no one knows where she went.
In the bedroom, Vanesa is happy that they are leaving the ranch, but Su worries that they won’t be close to the Ocaranzas. When Vanesa hopes that Su is not thinking of crashing in on the Ocaranzas at their city home, Su tells her that they have no where else to go to…she is having to auction off their apartment. She then tells Vanesa to find a way to get them invited to stay at the Ocaranza city home.
Mago finds out about everything that happened to Marina and chides Yola for not telling him. Mago then goes to Baldo’s house to see if Marina and Dami are there.
Vanesa goes to Don L and puts on her little show. She will miss the ranch and she isn’t sure she will continue her studies…so many things have happened; she came to the ranch thinking she would marry Beto and now she is leaving with her heart broken (she fails to mention who her heart is breaking for). When she tells him that she feels very lonely and wishes her father were alive, Don L hugs her and tells her that she can always see him as her father. Vanesa smiles…as does Su who has been listening.
Beto and Lino go to the bus station and find out that Marina and Dami got on the first bus to Mexico City. Meanwhile, Mago arrives at Baldo’s to see if Marina and Dami went to stay there, but NOPIS!!
Marina and Dami arrive in Mexico not knowing where they will live. Marina stops a girl on the street and asks if she knows of a place where they can stay…that doesn’t cost too much. The girl tells them about an apartment building close by where she lives.
Dami and Marina get an very small apartment on what looks like the top floor of an old apartment building. Dami will have to go buy a couple of cots and a small grill since the apartment is unfurnished. When Marina wonders if the whole city can be seen from the window, Dami tells her that all she can see is a large building and a few smaller ones…but they are closer to heaven.
Don L tells Zackrat that they are going back to the city. After he gives Zackrat instructions, Zackrat tries to sabotage Lino’s project, but Don L tells him that the project will continue as is.
Ep 44, Part 3: She’s a Leavin’ on a Speedy Bus
Doc needs to know what is happening with Marina; so he tells Ramona to call Horti who is her friend. When she calls, Horti tells her that the family is returning to the city.
Lino and Beto get back and tell everyone that Marina and Dami left for the city…even though they know no one there. Afterwards, Beto and Pru go to the main house and tell Don L that Marina and Dami are gone…and they don’t know where they are. Angsty can’t believe Dami would support Marina in such a crazy idea. When Don L and Pru argue, Beto tells them that the only important thing is that he find his wife. Su happens to walk in and overhear, so Don L clarifies that the blind one didn’t accept his name or money; she left with Dami. Su has a hard time keeping a straight face and not smiling.
Dami and Marina walk around the neighborhood as Dami tells her where things are.
Angsty suggests that they call the cops, but Pru points out that Marina isn’t missing; she left of her own accord.
Alone with Don L and pouring him a drink (in the morning!), Su thinks this is another of Marina’s stunts. Don L doesn’t know what to think. When Su hopes that Don L is not being swayed by that woman, Don L is disgusted to know that the girl has his blood…she is a disgrace to the family and he hopes she never returns.
At Mago’s house, Baldo chides Mago for not knowing when Dami left. He is perplexed because Dami always confides in him; he would have taken her to the ends of the earth. Tori is upset because he can live without his little princess; he urges Baldo that they go to the city NOW.
Doc is at the bus station and pushes his way up the line since he just needs to ask a question. He asks the ticketman if a blind girl and her mother bought a ticket.
On the previous page, Nina said "Maybe he's thinkin if the baby died during the DNA TEST no big loss. That would be nasty of him. Not the baby's fault the father is a jackass. But the baby is his. He's acting like a jackass
Don L would be proud."
Nina, Beto and Marina need to go their separate ways...she's too stubborn and he is a jackass and a half. Don L definitely would be proud of Beto; and if he didn't hate Marina, he'd be proud of her too!
It looks like the big happy ending was today, Thursday, even though zap2it says Tenías Que Ser Tú is on through tomorrow.
I missed most of it but for the ending, and it sure looked like they were wrapping everything up, there was a party (wedding reception?) with everybody dancing, hugging, and reconciling; Jeny sent a package from Europe, all is well with her; Marcelo is in prison, but repentant, and spoke to Ratoncito via Skype or whatever and all is good. It finished up with Miky, Marisa, and Ratoncito getting a new house though I didn't understand how that came about (these people insist on speaking Spanish).
Anyway, a final cutaway with a big Fin so I guess it really is "fin".
:-)
andy
Rgv Chickie, thank you yet again. She’s a Leavin’ on a Speedy Bus, and not on a downtown train with all those Brooklyn girls...
Not a fun episode again today. Beto continues to disappoint.
:-(

I didn’t have time to watch – too busy running around today, which is evidence of my vast improvement in the past week(yayyy!!!) – so I will watch this episode tomorrow morning after I do a little bit of yard work. I’ve got to see this “baby mask” in Beto's dream! LOL
Ay, Erasmo, she’s just not that into you.
My Karmageddon wish for Susana is that she gets kicked out of mooching on Los Ocaranza, has to live in a homeless shelter, and has to work in a taquería for a living.
”Beto wonders why Marina is doing this to him,” Oh, gah!!! Bless his heart! I want to smack him.
Ep 28, Part 1: The Last Straw that Broke a Friendship
Teo is with Flor at her house. He wants to talk to her about what should have happened between them, but didn’t. He wants to be with her, but he wants to do things the right way. He dreams of marrying her and would like to know if someday it could happen.
Axel goes to pick up Lola on the side of the road, but she won’t get in his truck because she doesn’t want him to expect her to do anything…she’s not the type to do “it” the first time; she likes to be won over. When he asks how he can win her over, she replies that she needs a place to stay and was hoping he could get her a hotel room.
Back at Flor’s, Teo is not there just to see what will happen next. He wants to make a life with Flor and grow old with her…and have a family with her; if she doesn’t want kids, they can have cats. As he nervously rambles on, Flor approaches him slowly and kisses him; she loves everything he is telling her and believes him. Though he didn’t make himself clear, she knows what he is trying to say…and says YES.
At the church, Epli thinks about Oscar’s suggestion to secretly have a DNA test. He marches out of the church quite determined.
Val walks beside Teo as Teo gets a call from Mica. He tells her that things with Flor are definitely moving forward. Val makes a sour face.
Val pops in on Chile as he and Marga are chatting and drinking. Val recalls how Maxi suggested he use others and some secret to get to Flor. He smirks as he leaves.
Xochitl walks into Jovita’s bakery and asks for a job. She needs money because if her parents have more money, they can give her a little brother.
Rose gets home calling out for Marga, but instead finds an anonymous note telling her that if she wants to know why her mother goes out in the evenings, she should go to the funeral home. As she walks out, Val watches her with a big smile.
Elpi goes to Aure’s house with the pretext of having a counseling session with him and Mariana. After Aure tells him that Mariana is not there, Elpi asks for some coffee…since he is there already. While Aure gets the coffee, he looks around for something that might have Aure’s DNA. When Aure comes back and sits beside Elpi, Elpi pulls out one of Aure’s hairs and hits him on the head…since he saw a bug. Elpi then makes an excuse and quickly leaves.
Flor tells Mariana about Teo’s proposal which makes her feel secure and happy. When Mariana worries that it might be too soon for Flor, Flor reminds her that she isn’t that young….and she won’t find a Teo on every corner. Mariana then asks about Lola who didn’t show up to class. Just then, Xochitl arrives upset because Jovita won’t give her work. Jovita, who is with Xochhitl, tells Mariana why Xochitl was looking for work.
Marga complains to Chile about Rose always questioning her. Chile wants to continue their ‘session’ but Marga has to leave. Behind a casket, Val apologizes to Chile; what he is going to do is for both of them. As Marga and Chile are giving each other their good-bye smooches, Rose walks in on them and shrills out to Marga.
Ep 28, Part 2: The Last Straw that Broke a Friendship
Xochitl explains to Mariana why she needed a job. After Jovita gives her worthless two-cents worth, Mariana thanks her and invites her to leave. Once alone, Xochitl wonders how they are going to get a little brother for her. She promises to take care of the baby and play with him; she wants someone to share her things with.
At the funeral home, Rose asks Marga what she is doing with this filthy character who is half nude. Marga explains that Chile was just helping her decide where to place a tattoo, but Rose doesn’t buy it and threatens that she is going to go tell Aure and Flor so that they can know what kind of mother they have.
As Val looks worried, Chile goes back into his casket. Walking outside, Rose yells at Marga and wonders if Marga is afraid that people will find out that this perfect woman is sleeping with a man who could be her son. She points out that Marga has always made her feel less; she was always comparing her to Flor and expecting her to follow her example. Marga admits that Rose is right…she is also sorry about everything. Marga then calms Rose down and tells her that she will do ANYTHING she wants if she keeps quiet about what she saw. Rose first wants Marga to stop seeing that man…and secondly, she wants Marga to help her put a complete end to Flor’s relationship with Teo. Val, who islistening, cheers Rose on. Marga then points out that it wouldn’t seem logical to help break up Teo and Flor since she just made a party for them to celebrate that they are seeing each other. Rose somewhat agrees but tells Marga that she is going to take her word about doing anything for her…Rose has some things in mind. Marga can’t believe Rose is blackmailing her. Just then, Val is pulled into Maxi’s office. Maxi chides him for messing up; he can’t go around making himself known to everyone…unless he wants to be removed from the land of the living. Val argues that he can’t let Teo get his way; so Maxi advises that he needs to be discreet…butshe can’t tell him exactly what to do since he hasn’t committed to closing their deal.
Val returns to the funeral home and tells Chile that he really needs his help now. Chile, however, is worried because Marga won’t answer his calls since everything came out and Rose found them out. When Val points out that that is what Chile wanted, Chile realizes that Val had something to do with it. Val tries to tell him that it was best for both of them, but Chile is pissed that Val would pull such a dirty stunt. He calls Val a short, selfish spirit and storms off…he’s gonna pay Val back!
Flor and Mariana are outside talking. Mariana asks Flor to cover for her with Octi because she needs to talk to Xochitl and take care of their problem before it gets out of control. After Flor agrees, she goes inside her house and sees Lola’s note. Chile then arrives and tells Flor that he needs to talk to her. Meanwhile, Val is blocked by the invisible barrier as he tries to get Chile’s attention.
Lalo, one of the dance students, is about to have lunch with one of his dance mates when his wife, Fanny, calls and demands that he come home. (Don’t know where this storyline is going!)
Ep 28, Part 3: The Last Straw that Broke a Friendship
Chile tells Flor that everything he said about Val was a lie; he was just trying to keep her away from Teo since he felt bad for his good, loyal friend. Chile now realizes that Teo is a good man who deserves her; she should marry him. When Flor asks how he knew what she wrote, Chile replies that he just guessed based on her feelings toward Val at the time. Meanwhile, Val is having fits and telling Chile that he’s going too far, but it falls on deaf ears. Chile apologizes to Flor and tells her that he hopes she acknowledges his good faith effort in telling her. He also hopes that things will be better between them. Flor agrees that Chile made her feel better and thanks him, but she isn’t sure that they will be BFFs.
As Chile walks away, Val chides Chile for messing up everything he has done to convince Flor that he is still among the living, but Chile doesn’t care. Those times when he would kiss the ground Val walked on are over. Chile walks off since he has better things to do.
Teo goes to talk to Oscar about Rose. Teo wonders what happened because Rose was so upset that she resigned. He is also worried since he and Flor are moving forward…which will make him a part of Rose and Marga’s family. Oscar assures Teo that Rose will get over it and that he would never do anything to cause problems for Teo.
Xochitl calls Diego since she feels so lonely. She tells him that her parents don’t want to give her a little brother. She also wants Diego to come visit her because he is her only friend. (Does the selfish little girl not go to school?)
Mariana tells Aure about Xochitl looking for a job. Aure worries and thinks they need to look for some type of solution to the problem…they can’t continue this way. When Aure suggests that they continue being a true married couple, Mariana thinks that they should just tell Xochitl the truth and tell her that they are going to separate. She doesn’t have the heart to continue lying to Xochitl…and she lives in fear that Xochitl will discover the truth on her own.
Chile approaches Rose who is leaving her house and tells her that he wants to help her with her business. As Marga listens from the doorway, Chile tells Rose that he has brought her contact info of 100 women who she can call to place CKlass orders. Rose knows Chile is only trying to win her over and chides him for taking advantage of her mother; she will never accept him as her mother’s boyfriend. After she runs him off and leaves, Chile stays behind and sneaks over to Marga to tell her that he thinks that this is the time that they should tell every one about their relationship, but Marga thinks that this is time that they should end their relationship.
Flor visits Itza and tells her that Chile confessed that he was lying about everything. Itza, who doesn’t believe Chile, wonders if Flor really believed him and why Chile would make up all those lies. Flor thinks that Chile is just crazy and was trying to defend his friend.
Rose is home reading a text that is coming in from Teo’s phone. The message says that he made a big mistake and he needs her help. It is she whom he loves and he doesn’t know how to get away from Flor since she is so possessive. The message also asks her not to tell anyone that he is asking for her help. Rose is elated…as Val erases the evidence from Teo’s phone. Marga then comes in with a plate of food for Rose, but Rose is no longer hungry. She just wants to know if Marga is going to help her because Rose knows that Teo is suffering and she is the only one who can save him. Marga responds that she is going to save herself because she is tired of Rose humiliating her. When Marga leaves, Rose plans to make Marga help her willingly or otherwise.
Thank you again RGV for stellar work.
Things are looking grim for Marina and Dami. Dami is going to sell her concoctions in DF? Happy hunting in local park for her ingredients. Beto is showing his pampered upbringing. He can mask it well, but he is spoiled. Neither Marina PT Beto have any idea how to negotiate a relationship. They both went straight to Def Con One and firmly planted themselves. Oh well, we can be sure happier times are ahead
Mely
Loved the title Rgv Chick, but good Lord, what are they thinking heading off to Mexico City with no money and living in a godforsaken place!!?? Not propitious for a pregnancy, but Nina's quip that they need to get in touch with the Property Brothers was a hoot.
Looks like the Slough of Despond is going to drag on for a while. So sorry. Have a great day everyone. And thanks for all your dedicated work Rgv Chick.
MIRADA
***My new avatar is for Doc Mask, ZackRat, Susana, and Don Louse.
NINA - Property Brothers....LOL!!!
They've done several houses in our area, including one down the street from us that was in dire need of a makeover, due to egregiously bad taste 😳 the previous owner possessed ... or was possessed by.
This telenovela seems to be slogging thru the story right now, as most of them do around the halfway mark. Thank heavens for the FFWD-> button for scenes with Marina crying (that girl should be dehydrated by now) and Doc Mask.
MELY - you are spot on about neither Miranda nor Beto knowing how to negotiate a relationship. Beto's role models are lacking and Mira comes from a single parent upbringing, so no exposure to this. PLUs, these two didn't even know each other before having sex and then getting married. Hel-lo?!?! Paulono and Vanessa are pretty much in the same boat. It is difficult to see any "true love" in these couples. Getting married is easy; staying married takes a LOT of work. My mother drummed that into our brains and, she was right.
Rgv Chick, your recap was full of golden nuggets.
I had to pare down my list to: "Jovita gives her worthless two-cents worth"; "He calls Val a short, selfish spirit"; "Flor agrees that Chile made her feel better and thanks him, but she isn’t sure that they will be BFFs" and "(Does the selfish little girl not go to school?)".
Perfect.
"Flor approaches him slowly and kisses him; she loves everything he is telling her and believes him". The one relationship that seems on solid ground although Val's heartless stunt may well change this.
"She needs money because if her parents have more money, they can give her a little brother". Grow up little girl. I agree she needs to hear the truth. It will hurt but she will cope.
"Elpi pulls out one of Aure’s hairs and hits him on the head". Desperate times call for desperate measures, right??
"Those times when he would kiss the ground Val walked on are over". There are so few, true, deep-rooted friendships in life. I hate the thought this one has ended. Val has gone too far.
Marga's relationships seem toxic. She needs to stand her ground, announce she is with Chile and tell her selfish daughter to get a life and stop trying to ruin her sister's.
The biggest loser seems to be Chile. I hope something turns around.
Marvelous Rgv Chick. Just marvelous. Thank you!
Diana
Mirada
Nina, Property Brothers in need, INDEED! What a horrible, filthy place they ended up in.
Andy, I was very disappointed in Beto too. He is being such a Don L; I guess some of it rubbed off!
JudyB, you're wondernig how they are going to get along with no money? Well, Baldo must have turned ont he charm when he sold Dami's goods for her.. She has enough to pay for an apartment and buy a few necessities. Oh and Marina said she would get a job! Doing what???
Doris, LOVE your new avatar! Really appropriate! Oh and Doris, this TN has 112 episodes, so actually we are only a third of the way through it :-( The good news is that they haven't done any major slicing and dicing.
Mely, I sure hope happier times are ahead...very soon. I'm getting tired of all this gloom and doom.
Tenías Que Ser Tú
Andy, I saw that big FIN too. I guess they are showing a repeat of hte gran fin today.
FLOR
Thank you, Diana. I was really upset with Val last night. That stunt he pulled was so hurtful...and selfish. I don;t blame Chile for what he did or walking away. Could there be forgiveness sometime in the future? I really like to see Val and Chile as friends, but as you said, Val really did go too far this time. Keeping my fingers crossed, though.
"The biggest loser seems to be Chile. I hope something turns around." Yes, poor Chile, now he really does have no one. Why can't he bump into Lola before she makes a BIG mistake?
Got to watch this yesterday! Thank you RGV you covered all I needed to remind me of what was going on (my short term memory is full of holes). Right in the middle of things, we had a severe storm warning and tornado warning that took up what seemed like hours. While I don't begrudge the warnings, why is it ALWAYS during the show and not during the commercials, which in this case preceded and succeeded what we were watching (where everybody was at Margo's talking.
The whole premise of Dami and Mari going to Mexico City is stupid. They are small town born and raised; Dami and Mari both are into plants and wildlife, natural creams and potions. Mari, especially, decorated swings, waterfalls, Toribio and Baldo. Odd how she can tell Baldo everything, but not Beto. Well, ok, Baldo listens and Beto doesn't.
ITA, what can she actually *do* to earn money that some jerk isn't going to try to take advantage of her--do we really have to go through that, too?
Baldo has that cemetery job waiting for him. Surely Dami will check to see if he shows up, so maybe they form a happy little fambly in that godforsaken room close to heaven. Wonder what Mari will do when she confronts her first cockroach and mouse.
I hope Mari will be too busy to spend much time crying any more.
Happens when she goes into labor? How is she gonna get down the steps?cement
Steps? And beto-"how can marina do this to me"? What a wuss. Remember, he
And marina have alot in common, DonL
Raised beto, and marina has his DNA. So hes rubbed off on Both of them. That
Is why they keep butting heads. Dad should be proud, his DNA in marina and his messy Upbringing of beto is workin in his favor. For now.
Moma pru hangin in there, defending her blind baby cub, and the cub is not
Makin it easy. Stubborn cub!
Oh ANita, sounds like you had some severe weather. Hope it didn't hit your area too hard. "The whole premise of Dami and Mari going to Mexico City is stupid. " I think we are all at that table!
Nina, "Moma pru hangin in there, defending her blind baby cub, and the cub is not
Makin it easy. Stubborn cub!" I love the way you think!
Friday, May 24, Epi #45 Pt 1 of 3 –Where Oh Where Has My Little Wife Gone
1. The clerk at the bus station won’t give any information to the half-masked line-cutter, regardless of the amount of the bribe offered. He sends Doc Mask away. The customers in line are glad to see him go.
2. Don Louse gets a phone call from a desperate Doc M. He chooses not to answer. Doc M is forced to leave a message for Don L to call him. It’s urgent. Don L already knows why.
3. Our two country ladies are in a big city market and stop at a shop for their cots, bedding and some baskets. The nice owner offers to deliver their purchases at no extra charge. He agrees to deliver first, get paid later, although Mari thinks Dami should trust people more. He tells them he also has everything else they need—table, chairs, dishes, hot plate, etc.
4. Toribio is hanging onto Baldo for dear life as they walk the streets of their pueblo. Toribio wants to leave right away for the big city. Baldo says they have to wait until his replacement at the cemetery arrives. Just then, Dami calls Baldo to let him know they are well, but she’s not going to tell them where they are. Mari asks him to tell Pru and Angie they are going to get ahead on their own. Baldo has decided he isn’t going to tell Beto anything regarding their whereabouts, which Tori object to, thinking of Beto and the baby. Tori thinks they were in a market because he heard a lot of background noise.
5. Doc M grumbles to Ramona about having to wait for Marina to come back to him. Then he tells Ramona she HAS to go to the ranch to get information on Mari. After complaining and telling the Doc that he should let Mari live her own life, she agrees.
6. Our two country ladies are hungry with all the aromas wafting around. Mari smells herbs. They find the stall, which sells a lot more stuff than herbs and potions. The owner comes over and introduces himself as Nick López. He tests Dami on what she knows. He tries again and again to trip her up, but she passes the tests. They chat some more. Mari gets to the point. They need jobs. Nick says he can’t pay much, but he’ll give them a chance.
7. Beto, who has arrived in the city, is telling Eric the whole history about the pregnancy, the doubts and why she left—without him and without any money. Eric thinks Beto needs to accept some of the blame. He asks Beto what he’s going to do. Beto hopeos she’ll call and that she’ll recall all the difficulties they had to overcome to be together. He wonders why she’s punishing all the people that love her and worried about her. He grouches that he can’t even go to the police. Eric has the bright idea to contract the services of a P.I. He knows one. They go to the P.I.’s office and Beto tells the guy that his wife is somewhere in the city. When asked for a recent photo, Beto has to think. He remembers Yola taking pictures at their wedding and calls her.
8. Mari and Dami are back in their rooftop penthouse. She’s cleaning glassware. I see a pitcher and bowls on the sideboard. They agree the next thing they need is paint. Mari is sure they won’t lack for money as Sr. López will raise their pay when they see how hard they work. Mari won’t let Dami ask Baldo to bring them their things. She absolutely wants no one to know where they are. She then asks Dami is she minds not being with Baldo and would she like to return to him. Dami, of course, says Mari is more important.
9. Ramona heads for the big house at the ranch but Lino stops her in her tracks. They argue back and forth, Lino scoffing at the idea that Hortie is a friend. He knows she’s just snooping for her half-masked man and that it was his fault Mari and Beto broke up and left the ranch. She’s thwarted and returns to the Doc empty-headed, err, handed. Well, she does have one little nugget of information, the marriage broke up because of the Doc.
10. Don L talks to Margo in his office. Don L thinks Marina is pulling a stunt to get Beto to feel obligated to recognize this baby as his. Margo stands up for Marina. Don L adds then why is she refusing to take that DNA test. [Good question, Don L. She can always agree to it and take the test in utero as soon as medically advisable, as LuzMaria did in Amor Bravío.] Margo swears she’s a good girl.
11. Tori is so sad he’s sitting there whimpering with Mari’s shawl (which she never wore before rejecting it) wrapped around his head and shoulders. Baldo contemplates on what Tori said about the background noise he heard. Baldo proposes that when they get to the city, they’ll check every market until he finds them.
12. Vane comes looking for Lino and finds only Yola. They talk about Lino. She says she fell in love with him. Yola scoffs. She tells Vane she just toyed with him. She has a list of candidates to replace her. Vane says, a little regretfully that she hopes one of them will return the love she couldn’t. She’s leaving and will never see him again. She’ll never forget him. She asks Yola to tell Lino she came looking for him. With that she gives Yola a sincere hug and leaves.
13. Susu is packing. She wants to make sure Vane understands what she needs to do to make sure they get to stay with the Ocaranza’s after they get back to town.
14. Beto calls Yola for the pictures. She’s p.o.d at Beto. It’s his fault Mari left. Beto says he called to seek a solution, not to argue. She agrees to send the pics. Eric thinks she’s quite a character and wants to meet her. Beto tells him she’s not his type. [And Beto knows what Eric’s type is?] Eric claims all cute girls are his type (the cad).
15. Lino finds out Vane came by. He rushes to the ranch and asks Angie to help. He wants to see Vane and say good-bye. She agrees and goes up to their room, only to find a very disagreeable Susu. When she doesn’t get a chance to speak to Vane alone, she can’t give Vane Lino’s message. Susu calls Angie a meddlesome gossip. Vane can’t stand it and emerges from the closet to say the only meddlesome gossip in the room is Susu. Angie thinks leaving is the better part of valor. With her exit, Susu throws Vane around, having guessed what that was all about. She tells her she’d better not be thinking of saying good-bye to that man. She is obligated to help her get Don L to let them move in with the Ocaranzas back in the city, by hook or by crook.
16. The next morning, Mari is up and dressed and shakes Dami from her aluminum folding cot. They hightail it to the market only to find the stall still closed and locked. When he arrives, Mari suggests he let them open up for him to catch the early traffic, not that Nick thinks there is much since everyone breakfasts first.
17. Lino looks up at Vane’s room from the other side of the fountain and sees her. She sees him. He mouths that he loves her and always will as she stares down, then she backs away from the window. She sits down on the bed to suffer from her self-inflicted love-wound.
18. Yola tells Margo and Lino about Beto hiring a detective to find Mari. Just then Mari calls. Yola tells her how worried they all are and that Beto left for the city to look for them. They take turns trying to talk to her until they finally put her on speaker. They want her to return to the bosom of the family that loves her and will take care of her and the baby. Dami grabs the phone from Mari and tells them they have a room and jobs. The three at the ranch think the two in the city are nuts. Yola wants Beto to suffer. The men think differently. They are putting themselves in Beto’s place. Disgusted, Yola tells them to do whatever they like. Lino calls Beto and gives him an update. Lino says the call came from an unknown number, probably a public phone. Beto has been in Pru’s room telling her what he knows. Now he’s heading for the hospital then to his apartment. Pru begs him to stay at their home, at least until they find Marina. Beto sort of ummhumms in agreement.
19. Don L and his family are back in their residential palace in town. Doc M calls and Don L and this time he answers. Doc M taunts him—having any regrets? Don L says no. He says Beto is his son and he’s suffering. He doesn’t know where Marina is (and though he doesn’t say it—doesn’t care, well maybe just a bit). He tells Doc M to get lost and not to call again.
20. At the market, a woman complains that what she bought wasn’t worth it. Mari gives her something else for her liver. Nick watches. He complains about how Mari handled the transaction. Mari is sure the woman will be back for more next week. Dami hands over the money (15 pesos). A little later Dami helps another customer under Nick’s watchful eye. Matter resolved and the customer goes off, happy to return the next day. Nick finally admits the day went well and he’ll let them open up the stall earlier.
21. Susu launches her plan. Phase I: She calls Pru in a state of desperation. They’ve been robbed of everything of value. Then she hangs up. Pru heads right for Don L to let him know. Don L calls Susu. She and Vane see the call come in. Phase II: Susu doesn’t answer and sure enough Donsy calls Vane. She tells him Susu went to the police station. When he starts quizzing her about how come none of the neighbors saw anyone carrying their furniture out, she modifies her story to say it wasn’t actually *everything,* but everything of *value,* all their money and their jewelry. Donsy wants to go to the police and have them check out the security cameras. Vane convinces him that the security cameras were old and not to bother going to the police. However, Mama Susu thinks it’s dangerous to stay there in case the robbers come back to kill them and wants to go to a...wait for it...a hotel. Donsy says absolutely not, they are to come to the house. Pru says, qué, qué, qué?
23. Tori is looking for his bunny rabbit and finds Doc M creeping up on him instead. He insists on prying all information regarding Marina out of a terrified Tori. Tori holds his own for awhile. The only thing that escapes his lips is Mari’s pregnancy. Doc M is furious and starts to harass him physically. Tori yells for help from Baldo. Baldo shows up and menaces Doc M. with a stick. Doc M. retreats. Tori swears he didn’t tell the half-masked man where Mari was.
24. Beto reports for work. He’s assigned to Emergency. [I can see it now. Mari is brought in to TTOHIM with bleeding or cramps and there is Beto.] He runs into Dr. Bazán. He says he’s ready to go ahead with Marina’s tests. Beto says she’s dealing with some personal issues but will let her know when he talks to her.
25. Pru is half resisting having Susu and Vane come to stay. Phase III begins: Susu runs into the house and throws herself into Donsy’s arms. [Hmm, did Pru not notice Susu immediately threw herself in Donsy’s arms? Pru is supposed to be her BFF.] Angie watches the performance worthy of a Primera Actriz (based on age, of course).
26. Doc M. tells Ramona that Mari’s is expecting a baby. He doesn’t think Tori was lying. The lightbulbs flash—he figures it out— and out loud, for Ramona’s sake, says that is why Beto and Mari broke up. The baby could be - - - HIS!
Oh, yuck. Tune in tomorrow.
Sorry--I meant tune in Monday. It's been quite a day. We were spared the tornados. If there were any, they were further west of D.C. We did get the lowest, darkest, grey-green, black, meanest looking clouds pass over with really strong winds and a real gullywasher--all over in about 20 minutes. Today was lovely, cool, low humidity and sunny. I made Rice Krispy Treats and ate some, too.
Ah, Rice Crispie treats. Haven't made those in about 30 years, but dang, sounds good! Actually watched this today. Definitely more upbeat. Maybe not too realistic for Marina and Damiana to find instant employment and new buddies in big,bad Mexico City, but I'm delighted to have a more positive episode.
And actually my antennae perked up when Beto's lazy buddy noted Yola's "carácter". Guys in these stories always seem to love feisty women so I'm thinking another poor gal/rich guy romance is on the horizon. Yola should whip him into shape in no time flat.Sorry Erasmo. Perhaps the writers have another winsome gal waiting for you in the wings.
Also loved Prudencia's "qué qué qué!?" Along with her new spine and improved hairdo, she also seems to be figuring out what a sponge Susana is. About time! And did Don Luis call her "Guapa"? And fuss when she slept in a different bed the other night? Doesn't sound like Pru has lost any traction with her husband, in spite of his fulminating about her attitude. Or maybe I've just got my rose-colored glasses on.
As always, time will tell. Toribio got a lot of screen time tonight. He does hold his own. Nice to see these older actors get work.
And nice to see you tossing in a great recap for Mirada Anita. Thanks.
Glad any storm damage passed you by, Anita, and that you had recourse to Rice Crispie Treat therapy to quell any anxiety. Sugar works that way for me too.
Thank you, Anita, for your recap! And I'm so glad the storms missed you. The news reports this week of the Midwest tornados and flooding have been awful. You have earned those Rice Krispie's treats. I love them and use real butter. Yum.
Angsty has definitely caught on to Su's game and suspects something is not quite on the up and up. Good heavens, Su is delusional if she thinks they can mooch off Los Ocaranza indefinitely.
And Angsty never got to deliver Lino's message to Vane, earlier that day. That Su is such a hateful abusive mother. 😛
Eric and Yola ... the music hinted at a possible love interest. Or just a red herring?
What's up with the new camera angles, giving us half a blurred out screen during some conversations? Like Beto and Erik's. Gah.
Thanks for this upbeat recap Anita. I
Hope the maski-nater never finds mari.
Are yall sure he didn't do the deed as she was doped into sleep? He seems to think the little bun in the oven is his spawn. No No No, say it ain't so.
I haven't seen that episode yet where
Beto see's a little mask in the crib.
His mind is really doin a number on him. That would mean a mask is growing on the baby's face in The womb. Just over thinkin it. Get a grip beto.
How old is Nick? Does he look like he could give baldo a run for his money?
I'm gonna watch this episode tomorrow
Along with the masked baby episode. It
Sounds like something out of The outer twilight zone limits(masked baby).yeah
It's that messed up.
Su the mooch. She'll Probly end up in a homeless shelter. She's to lazy to work. She feels ontitled.
I'm so glad marina mentioned paint. It
Could use a good painting. Let's just
Hope they don't pick a ugly color.
Glad the storms passed over y'all Anita. Every body have a safe n fun
Memorial day weekend.
Ep 29, Part 1: Manipulative Children…Young and Old
Mariana and Aure continue their discussion about telling Xochitl the truth. Aure pleads with Mariana to give their marriage a chance, but Mariana stands firm since they have been married for such long time and Aure has had plenty of opportunity to change. Aure argues that he doesn’t want to hurt his daughter, but Mariana is adamant that they will tell Xochitl the truth together. As Mariana goes to check on Xochitl, Aure refuses to be present when she talks to Xochitl.
At the church, Father Elpi puts Aure’s hair into a small plastic bag. Just then, Aure arrives and needs to talk to Elpi.; there was a problem with Xochitl and now Mariana is asking him for a divorce again. Aure doesn’t want to lose his daughter who is everything to him. He knows he messed up, but he has tried hard to make the marriage work. Aure doesn’t know what to do and isn’t sure Elpi can advise him since Elpi has never gone through this; so Epli assures Aure that he does understand…since he has had to listen to others in the same situation. Aure feels alone and confused; he wishes his father were alive.
At the casino, Flor is giving a class, but Paris thinks she doesn’t need classes since she is already a good dancer. Octi interrupts and asks for Mariana; so Flor tells him that she had a family emergency and was not able to cone. Octi doesn’t care and tells Flor to tell Mariana that there will be a deduction in her check. Lola passes by; so Flor stops her and tells her that she is worried about her. Lola responds that Flor shouldn’t worry because she found a nice place to live at…where she won’t be a bother to anyone.
Sami meets with her attorney who has very good news for her. Octi put all their property in her name only.
Teo is trying to buy a wedding ring online but is having all kinds of trouble…because Val is doing everything he can think of to prevent it. He types in extra numbers when Teo inputs his account number, causes a small electrical short, and closed his credit card account. Val laughs at all of Teo’s troubles.
At the church, Elpi is trying to get Tito to do a search on the internet for a lab that can run a DNA test. Tito gives him the run around as he tries to get Elpi to tell him why he wants the information. Just then, the HTT ladies, Tere and Jovita, enter the church hurriedly. They want Father Elpi to start off the feast fasting. They urge him to do it NOW before anyone else dies.
Lola approaches Octi who kisses her on mouth. Lola carefully pushes him away and shares her ideas about some dance moves she wants to try out, but Octi tells her that she needs to leave the casino. As Lola pleads with Octi, Sami approaches and tells Octi that he is no longer in charge; she hands him the divorce papers and points out the clause that indicates that she will stay with everything.
At the church, Elpi is beginning the service to kick off the fasting feast when Oscar arrives and needs to talk to Father Elpi. When Oscar finds out that Elpi is busy performing the feast fasting and the ladies are rushing him, Oscar opts to leave.
Later, Oscarette is doing his show and asks the listeners to share their secrets, their problems, their loves and their heartbreaks. He then makes up a name and starts talking about Flor’s history.
Ep 29, Part 2: Manipulative Children…Young and Old
Teo arrives for Flor who was listening to Oscarette. When she tells Teo that she needs a hug, Teo wonders what is wrong; so she tells him that listening to Celeste (Oscarette) touched her and she became emotional. Teo then hurries her because they will be late to dinner with Rose and Marga. Flor comments that it is very strange that Rose invited them over to dinner.
Octi is having fits because Sami is asking him for a divorce. Sami emphasizes that she is now the star and owner of the casino. She suggests that he contact his lawyer and try to undo what he did without letting her know.
Marga sees a message from Chile, but she ignores it. Chile is distraught when he sees that she blocked him.
Mariana tells Aure that it is time to talk their daughter, but Aure is on his way out because Rose asked him to go over for dinner. Aure reiterates that he will not talk to Xochitl about getting a divorce and tells Mariana that if she wants to talk to Xochitl, she can do so herself.
Rose tells Marga that she invited her siblings to dinner to tell them about her affair with Chile; she wants to see their reaction. When Marga points out that she has done everything Rose has asked of her, Rose reproaches her for continuing to help Flor with Teo.
Later, all of Marga’s children are having dinner when Marga forces herself to tell Teo that he is no longer welcome in her house and that she will not support Flor’s decision to be with him. Val is cheering her on and laughing. Everyone is shocked and wonders why Marga has changed her mind; so she explains that Flor is a widow; and though her husband was an idiot, a cheat, and loser, he was Flor’s husband and she must respect him just as she has always respected their father. Flor gets up and tells Teo that she wants to leave.
Mariana goes into Xochitl’s bedroom and tells her that they need to talk. When she tells Xochitl that she and her father have come to a decision and will be getting a divorce, Xochitl cries as she reminds Mariana of her promise that they would always be together. After Mariana apologizes for lying to her, Xochitl blames her for everything since she knows that her father loves Mariana very much.
At the casino, Octi refuses to let Sami leave his office as he continues to plead with Sami to drop the divorce. When Sami yells, one of the goons opens the door and Paris and several others watch. Sami tells them that it’s best that they know that the only owner of the casino is her.
Teo and Flor walk home quite befuddled and trying to make sense of Marga’s change of heart. When Teo doesn’t know what he did to upset Marga, Flor assures him that he did nothing wrong. Teo then tells Flor that the only thing that matters to him is that they love each other. Despite the fact that Marga ran him out of her house, he is going to try to win her over.
Flor goes to Mariana’s house and rushes in telling Mariana what her mother did. When she sees Mariana’s long face, Flor wonders what happened, so Mariana tells her that she already told Xochitl about the divorce. Flor offers her comfort.
Ep 29, Part 3: Manipulative Children…Young and Old
At Marga’s house, Aure is trying to get Marga to tell them what happened, but Marga goes to her room. Aure follows and tells her that what she did was very strange…it could bring more problems. He then tells her that he will be coming back to live at home since Mariana is insisting on the divorce. Marga disses Mariana…she knew Mariana was never good for Aure. If everyone had listened to her, they wouldn’t be in the situations they are in now. When Aure mentions that he is worried about Xochitl, Marga tells him not worry; Xochitl will come to live there with him.
At the casino, Paris mocks Octi and tells him that he was the show for the night. He went from being the big gun to being the big nothing! She then tells him to forget about her. Meanwhile, Sami is listing everything she wants changed in the office. Just then, Paris goes in and tells Sami that she is glad Sami is back. Sami notes the hippocracy and tells Paris that the only reason she is still there is because she is a good dancer. When Paris thanks her, Sami tells her that thanks are not enough; Paris has to ask for forgiveness….so Paris does just that.
Nestor and Tere have a fight outside in front of several spectators. Tere is starting a business, but Nestor forbids her to work. As she storms off, Tere tells him that he will not be sleeping with her tonight; she refuses to share her bed with an orangutan like him.
Aure arrives home and asks if Mariana talked to Xochitl. When Mariana confirms that she did and that Xochitl didn’t want to understand, Aure comments that he doesn’t understand either. Mariana blames him for everything and doesn’t understand when she became the bad guy. Aure responds that she no longer has to worry; he is going to go live with is mother. They then turn to see Xochitl who has been listening.
Chile goes to Marga’s house and demands to see Marga; he wants to take her out of that prison. Rose threatens to call the cops and manages to push him out. Marga who is in her room and heard Chile is distraught about her Chilito. When Rose comes to her room, Marga tells her that she didn’t have to be so harsh with Chile since he isn’t at fault. Rose is disgusted that Marga is defending him. When Rose adds that it is sad that Marga has stooped so low as to have relations with that low type, Marga emphasizes that the truth is that Teo and Flor should get married as God wills. When Rose insists that God’s will is that Teo love her, Marga wonders what planet she came from because when Marga went to Teo’s office, he was very anxious to marry Flor, not her. Rose retorts that it is up to her what she does next, but if she doesn’t keep her word, even Father Elpi will find out about her fling.
At Mariana’s house, Aure has his bag and is ready to leave. After he gives his last try to convince Mariana that things don’t have to end this way, Xochitl runs to him and tells him that she is going with him. Xochitl doesn’t want to live with her mother…if they force her to stay, she will run away when Mariana isn’t watching her. Aure tells Mariana to let Xochitl go with him; she has a right to be with him. Mariana cries as they leave.
Things are looking up attitude wise. Positive vibes in DF!
Loved it when ticket agent told Doc since he kicked his wife out of waiting room and wouldn’t help her the Doc could get lost!
Puzzled by him thinking baby could be his. He clearly said “No puedo” when he had Marina doped up in bed
Mely
Anita, thank you for a fun and upbeat recap!
This was a more enjoyable episode than what we have been served up lately. Early in this TN I was a bit surprised that things proceeded so rapidly, that they didn't drag out the Beto/Marina romance a bit more. But I see now that they have something else in mind. Just what I don't know, everything seems to be in the air, and I really don't know who will wind up with whom. Dami with Baldo, Margo, or maybe Nick? Marina with Beto or Doc Bazán, certainly not with Doc Mask. Yola with Erasmo or Eric? It's all up in the air.
Quite aside from this, something that made me smile was "Doc" Dami clearing up the lady's liver for 15 pesos. She'll put those high priced doctors out of business.
Mely, I think Doc Mask said that just for Ramona's benefit, just to reinforce her belief that he and Marina had sex. She is his "witness" that he did not force or abuse Marina, and her testimony drives a wedge between Beto and Marina and gives Don Louse reason to think less of Marina.
andy
Rgv Chickie, you were right. (Why am I not surprised? :)
They showed the Gran Finale a second day. Sheesh, Univision! They slice and dice some TNs in their últimos capítulos, others they repeat parts.
At least it was a nice big happy ending they repeated. :-)
andy
Andy, thanks for answering both Nina's and Mely's question regarding Don Mask's non-participation in making Marina and Beto's baby.
Glad to see you are keeping one eye open on this story. We DO spend a lot of time pairing up the characters. Some you just KNOW won't have a happy pairing at the end, like Zackrat or Don Mask, nor Susu or Angsty.
Take Lino and Vane; they are so different. I don't know who else is around for them, so maybe they are the end game. Lino has higher hopes than Vane. He believes love is enough. We've all learned that sometimes love is not enough. Lino has yet to learn that lesson. Marina got a jolt learning that lesson.
Vane will have to accept being without money and perhaps losing social position and friends in that circle or Lino will have to make a big success of his organic avocados and move into a higher social class for them to make it. I'm pulling for Lino to end up happy, even if it's without Vane, but with an orchard full of avocados and a singing career.
First things first. “Manipulative Children…Young and Old” was the ultimate Rgv Chick. Your recap was simply stellar.
“Marga who is in her room and heard Chile is distraught about her Chilito” was my hands down favorite among many excellent lines.
“Aure feels alone and confused…” Of course he does. But by his own hand. Ack.
It appears as though the internet is causing issues for both the good padre and Teo. Perhaps their respective quests might be better served the old fashioned way. Actually shopping in person for one of the most important purchases you will ever make. And, how about tending to the all important DNA test personally without benefit of wireless?
Octi is scum and Sami is similar. I admit I’m not particularly caring about any of the casino denizens. They all seem awful.
Power is best handled by those capable of wielding it. Rose is not. She is turning into a gargoyle, destroying her sister’s happiness and cruelly having her mother do her dirty work. It was bad enough she had Marga stop seeing Chile, but now they cannot communicate at all. Then, “Marga forces herself to tell Teo that he is no longer welcome in her house and that she will not support Flor’s decision to be with him”. Crazed queen Rose must be overthrown.
“Xochitl blames her for everything”. Of course. No surprise that Aure will run back to mommy’s and that his petulant child will go too. Unbearable for Mariana.
And I have always been told that if you love someone, let them go. Val surely knows his time is up and he should step aside and give in graciously.
Rgv Chick, another beautifully written story. Thank you!
Diana
Mely--I missed that little exchange between Doc M and the clerk. That's why I didn't include it. (It would have just made a long mini-recap even longer.) Thank you for filling in. Yes, that was cute.
Ramona is SO pathetic. Some of those looks she was giving Doc made me think that she might suspect that Doc is lying, but then she turns right around an follows his lead. She needs to be put in one of those machines that mixes paint...maybe that'll jar something in her pea brain and shake some sense into her.
Andy, I'm glad that the show is more upbeat too, but I think some things went too quickly. I don't know about you all, but it really irks me that Marina cried for....ever and now she is all smiles and perky. I know that people have to "let it go" but, seriously, she seems to have completely forgotten all her problems and heartache. I just don't think it's very realistic.
JudyB, you pointed out some other things quite well, "Maybe not too realistic for Marina and Damiana to find instant employment and new buddies in big,bad Mexico City" So everything is is just peachy now. They'd better watch out for any sour pits!
"Tori is so sad he’s sitting there whimpering with Mari’s shawl (which she never wore before rejecting it) wrapped around his head and shoulders." Ooooh, I wanted to hug him so much. His little princess up and left him without even looking back. And despicable Doc Dreadful was so hateful to him. I'm just glad Baldo was near and able to grab that big stick.
Anita, I'm so glad to hear that the severe weather missed you. Hope everyone is having a beautiful day!
" I know that people have to "let it go" but, seriously, she seems to have completely forgotten all her problems and heartache. I just don't think it's very realistic. "
RgvChick - ITA. My telenovela beanie hat is on so tight that this didn't even register, but I did marvel over how quickly Dam and Mari found work, though, so apparently I've not cut off all blood & oxygen supply to my brain. Blind girl in Mexico City, which is dangerous enough for sighed folks, there is bound to be a plot device about this before it's all over.
Wishing a safe and happy Memorial Day weekend to all! Highs this weekend in the low 90s, 😛 and I'm staying indoors, Today,I shortened and hemmed two pairs of hubby's old jeans. He bought them too long, ages ago, and the fraying hem was getting bad. Next up, a pair of his shorts need some alterations. It is nice to be back up in the sewing room again. Yesterday, I cooked up two racks of pork spare ribs in the Instant Pot, and tonight hubby put them in the grill with BBQ sauce to achieve culinary perfection. Big weekend for us. LOL
Doris, I'm salivating just reading about the spare ribs. And sewing...oh GAWD, I haven't done that in ages...and to think that when I got my first job at a school, I would make all my clothes...♪♪Those were the days, my friend...♪♪
