Por Amar Sin Ley, Season 2 Jueves 6/13/19 Episode 64: You Can't Always Get What You Want

Mexico
City: Juan seemed happy to see Fernanda while Tatiana enjoyed
sticking it to her that she had come for the party as in “Weren't
you invited?” Juan told Fernanda that she needed no invitation,
she was always welcome. He could not persuade her to stay. She was
obviously uncomfortable at seeing Tatiana and she left, citing having
too many things to do. Susanna gave Tatiana a dirty look before
taking a bag to the kitchen, ignoring Tatiana's offer of help.
Fernanda
ran from the house, but Juan caught up with her. She told him she
had come to see his mother, not him. He saw her tears and wondered
whether she missed him but she said she did not. He said he missed
her but she asked how could he when he was so happy with her.
He said he was not interested in Tatiana, but she said “She's
interested in you.” Believe it or not, he did not believe this.
[I think the writers have had a little too much mescal.] She
told him “Oh, yes, she is,” and left. He went back to the house
and Susanna blamed herself for this. Juan could not understand any
of it. Tatiana said nothing, but obviously listened to every word.
Los
Cabos: Sofia and Ricardo returned to the courthouse with a
request for an order for the clinic security tapes. The bitchy
receptionist took great pleasure in telling them that this would take
a long time. Ricardo pointed out that the order is for a specific
date and time span and she said “Maybe tomorrow.” He then said
that if she doesn't cooperate she could be charged with obstruction
of justice. That seemed to make her snap to it. However, as soon as
they left she took out her cell phone to make a call.
Mexico
City: Juan looked at the food and how everything was laid out,
upset that Fernanda wasn't there. Tatiana tried to cheer him up,
saying it was his party and everything would be perfect (or whatever
nonsense). Susanna watched and gritted her teeth lest she say
something she would regret later. [Excuse the lack of detail here,
but this situation is making me sick.]
Juan's
colleagues were all leaving the office to come to the party. Except
for Javier, who pleaded too much work. Roberto told everyone to go
on ahead, as he had to pick up a (female) friend. Victoria noticed
that and Adrián noticed that she noticed.
Just
as Carlos was about to leave his office Nancy slithered in with
something important to tell him. He said he had an appointment and
she asked with whom. He gave her his version of the “none of your
business” line but she persisted until the words “El Ciego”
stopped him in his tracks. She told him about the dead body with the
message attached and he realized that this could turn into an all-out
war. Further, that someone from the Vega firm is investigating this
in the belief that either of these cartels could have had something
to do with Alejandra's death. Sooner or later that lawyer will find
out something and eventually they would find out that El Ciego had
been in the restaurant that night. Despite having tampered with the
resyaurant's security videos they didn't know what other evidence
there was. He said they could not allow that. She was to look for
Javier and somehow find out what he knew. Carlos then kissed her in
a manner that could only be described as dominant before he left.
She watched him exit. Her expression showed that she knew something
had changed, and not for the better.
Los
Cabos: Ricardo and Sofia went over what information they had,
but she was worried. Unless they had evidence – like the right
video footage – this would only be he said-she said and the judge
would rule in her favor. Sofia was confident in Ricardo's ability to
present a case, but that evidence was necessary as they had no other
way to prove that their client and Ana Morales did not have a
relationship.
Mexico
City: Lorenza handed Fabián some documents he asked for. He
begged her to accompany him to court to hear the explanation. She
refused. She was willing to talk to the lawyers because she wanted
to lay out the terms of the divorce. She was afraid to listen to him
because she would end up believing him.
Michelle
talked about her trust issues over dinner, then told Carlos she found
him interesting from the outset. [This looked like an ad for
Match.com.]
Alonso
and Lourdes arrived at Juan's party along with some odd artwork as a
gift. He took it upstairs as Susanna escorted them into the party.
She pointedly ignored Tatiana and did not introduce her to anyone.
Nancy
sat at her desk looking at the Vega website. She made a note of
Javier's profile, then called him on her cell. When he answered he
said to call back in the morning during office hours. She told him
she had information about his case. [We have to hope that he's
asexual if Nancy is looking to use her deadliest weapons.] She
pressed for an in-person meeting and he said he would wait for her at
his office. She sent a text and left.
Juan's
guests appeared to be having a good time, although Roberto seemed a
little put out by his date's fascination with all things de
Esapaña. Adrián was telling a group of young women a story
about the matador costume his mother bought for him when he was a
boy. Tatiana was hanging onto Juan as though she were his
girlfriend.
Carlos'
phone signaled a message and he saw Nancy's message that she was on
her way to the Vega offices. He said it was about work. Michelle
started asking about his work and trying to pry information as her
brother had been looking for. He gave a general example of getting a
dealer out of jail due to a lack of hard evidence. No details. She
acted fascinated.
Alonso
and Lourdes left the party, thanking their hosts. Lourdes
complimented the food, Susanna thanked Alonso for his help with
Juan's career and Alonso replied that Juan is very capable and an
asset to the firm. Back inside Roberto left his date to make
Victoria a drink, which she walked away with. He asked whether
Adrián knew how to make her happy. She gave him a questioning look
and he asked whether she felt anything for Adrián. She told him it
was none of his business. She asked him if he felt anything for his
date. He said no, but said he wanted her to tell him the truth. She
told him that nothing happened between them to justify his attitude.
He said he loved her [querer] and she replied she loved him,
but not in the way he was looking for. Further that he had no right
to question her about anyone she was involved with especially as he
had slept around with half the female population of Mexico. He
didn't take that well, saying that it wasn't true. And that she
would lament walking away from him. She said nothing, but clearly
didn't agree.
Los
Cabos: Sofia put her papers in order then called home. Marcela
answered and told her that her mother was alright. She was asleep
and Sofia told Marcela not to wake her. Marcela said that the
medications seem to make Camila fall asleep easily, but that was in
the normal range of side effects. Sofia told Marcela to call her if
anything happened.
Roberto
noticed Victoria laughing at something Adrián said, then suggested
to his date they go somewhere else that would ultimately lead to his
place. He got her to leave with him, which Victoria noticed. She
asked Gustavo if anything was wrong and why did Roberto leave so soon
with the plastic surgery model. He told her that Robeto was the same
as ever, and it was she who changed. She had never previously paid
any attention to whom Roberto was with.
Jaime
did get Paula to leave the house with him. They came back and he
said that the next day they would do what she wanted.... out of the
house.
Tatiana
noticed that Juan was less than jovial and guessed the reason. She
tried to get him to think about the good things that were happening
in his life while coming on to him, which he neither acknowledged nor
appeared to recognize. They walked back into the main room and
joined a conversation with Victoria and Adrián. Lorena talked to
Gustavo and said that she would be happy to help him in his cases.
He said he would appreciate that, although he seemed somewhat
distracted. He then said he had to leave and asked whether she would
like him to drive her home. She accepted.
Nancy
sashayed off the elevator at Vega and Javier met her in reception.
He directed her to sit and she introduced herself without saying
where she worked. She brought up the alleged purpose of her visit,
then asked whether he had any information. He stood up and shouted
“That is not relevant.” She told him that she was hoping that
this would be mutually beneficial. She opened her briefcase and
pulled out a notebook, saying she had information to help in a case
against El Gringo. Javier said that sooner or later he woul find the
connexion and didn't need her help. She told him that El Gringo
protects his moves carefully and that they could help each other. He
asked why she thought it was El Gringo when they were all
investigating the group he's fighting. She said that El Gringo was
the big kahuna there and that he and his people were provoking
everything in the area. She then told him that if they solve this
case she can apply for an enviable position while he can benefit from
catching the criminals that have attacked his firm. She wrote down
her phone number and left, making sure he had a good view of her
Kardashian assets as she entered the elevator. He had been regarding
her with suspicion. [Fortunately, he had the good sense not to let
her into his office.]
The
last of the guests having departed, Juan told his mother the party
was a success. Tatiana brushed her hair in front of the big mirror
and said she had to go. Juan offered to drive her. She hugged
Susanna, who barely tolerated it, and thanked her for letting her
help. She then left with Juan, while leaving behind a huge number of
dirty serving dishes on the tables. [I hope this place came with
a dishwasher.]
Tatiana
gushed about the party as she opened the door to her building. She
moved in for a kiss and he started pulling back, so she grabbed the
back of his head to kiss him. He did not look comfortable with this
as he headed back to his car and she looked at predatory as Ana
Morales had during her meeting with Ricardo and Sofia.
Roberto
arrived at the office the next day and was told that there was a
woman waiting in his office for him. She had not given her name.
Los
Cabos: Sofia and Ricardo were given the runaround about the
court orders from the same bitchy receptionist. Sofia told her she
was not doing her job and that this was obstruction of justice.
Roberto
entered his office to find Lucia.... his long-estranged mother.

PASL is picking up. I'm enjoying the new.e storyline. If I got it right, Sofia & Roberto concede that Fabian must pay child support because the kid is his (and he wasn't raped) but no support for the mother because there was no relationship and he was set up. Never seen this one before.
Yay I figured Javier would be immune to Nancy. My guess is even if he sleeps with her he'll make sure the she gets no information because he trusts no one.
Juan, are you now ready to admit Tatiana is trying to get you?
At last more back story on Roberto. All in all a good episode.

I did not like her character in the last tn I saw her in. I hope she's not a scammer in this One. Roberto don't need a tricked out moma at this point In his life.

I think that the bitchy receptionist is in on the scheme to bilk Fabian. There is no other logical motive for her behavior. Note that when we last saw her she was using her cell phone and not her desk phone. Why else would she do that just after Ricardo and Sofia were just out the door?
I first saw Helena Rojo in El Privilegio de Amar. Brilliant and with class, like a 1940s film star. It's good to see her again.
