RgvChick, thanks for the info on “El Dragón”.

I just was reading about another future Univision offering starting tonight on Las Estrellas in Mexico : “Cita a ciegas” with Victoria Ruffo. In the Univision article from 4/25/19, it sounds like a romantic comedy where they said that Victoria Ruffo ”no morirá llorando” (won’t die crying)! Somehow, I had not heard about that novela before.

BTW, Univision could learn a thing or two from Telemundo. I have been watching “La Reina del Sur” which has been their prime time “Super Series” event that ends tonight. Telemundo has done all they can to make it EASY on the viewer. They have shown it twice an evening: in prime time and late night. By 6:00 a.m. the episode from the previous night has been posted on Comcast OnDemand making it easy to follow again if you missed it. Univision only bothers doing that for a week or two and then invariably falls behind. Telemundo has not missed a day through all 60 episodes. They post it even on Saturday morning. Also for the first month or so, Telemundo summarized the episodes of the week to present as a Saturday night “movie” to help keep the viewer up to date. Tomorrow they have a special on to wrap it all up. I have been impressed.

Ep 55: Part 1 Deadly Intentions OR History Repeats Itself

At Surround Vibes, Juanjo and Erick are listening to Erick’s new song. Afterwards, Erick brings up Cris; he doesn’t feel comfortable working with him since he is always talking badly about Charly. Juanjo assures him that if they do pick up Cris as a client, Erick will have nothing to do with him…they will not be working together. Meanwhile, Diana is having lunch with Cris and giving him pointers as to how to win over Juanjo. When she adds that Juanjo is her husband, Cris is taken aback…since she doesn’t look like a married woman; she is too pretty.

At Luxor, Vanessa arrives to invite Diana out shopping or for lunch, but Diana has too much work and promises that they can spend the next day together; after which, Vanessa can pack her things so that she can move in with Diana. Mother and daughter are very excited at living together again, After Diana tells Vanessa how proud she is of her, Vanessa leaves and bumps into Charly who purposefully implies that he is going to try to reconcile with Diana—he misses both of them. Charly then asks Vanessa not to mention anything to her mother yet. After they make plans to spend time together that evening and Vanessa leaves, Charly calls Toño to tell him that Diana will be at the studio working late…he will take care of the security cameras.

Axel is talking to one of his girl friends and tells her that he wants to start writing songs again, but he doesn’t want to share that with Charly. She encourages him to write a song and present it to Charly.

Erick is home listening to his new song. When Lidia notices that he is concerned, he shares his feeling about working with Cris. Lidia points out that Surround Vibes is growing so they are sure to have more artists coming in; she assures him that he has nothing to worry about since no one is as good as he is.

Yameli calls Juanjo to tell him that Diana still hasn’t decided to turn in Charly, but she will find a way to convince her because Diana is in danger as long as the idiot is not in jail.

Yameli goes to talk to Diana who has decided NOT to turn in Charly; she can’t do that to her daughter. She still has time to threaten Charly into stopping the laundering business. Diana knows exactly what kind a person Charly is, but she can’t do that to Vanessa. When Diana cries that if she turns Charly in, she will also go to prison, Yameli assures her that she won’t because she has the evidence of her innocence, but Diana then worries that Charly will not be able to handle being in prison…he will go crazy and she can’t do that to him. After Yameli insists that Charly has to pay because he is a filthy pig, Diana wonders why Yameli is so insistent; so Yameli asserts that Charly has done horrible things to her, including stealing her songs…she confesses who she really is—Yameli Montoya. Diana is in total disbelief since she had been told that she was dead; so Yameli explains that Charly and his uncle tried to have her killed, but they couldn’t, though that doesn’t matter because she wishes they had killed her. Yameli was in love with Charly and he got her pregnant; and then Charly sent her to prison…she doesn’t even know where her son is. Diana cries as she asks Yameli to forgive her.

Later, Diana asks what Yameli will do when Charly finds out who she is. After Yameli responds that she won’t know until it happens, Diana confides that she knew about the songs and asks Yameli to forgive her for being Charly’s puppet and accomplice, Yameli assures her that Charly is the only one responsible…she was once in Diana’s place. After Diana recalls how cruel she was with Yameli at school and asks her to forgive her, Yameli knows that people make mistakes and learn from them; Diana was with Charly for so many years…and she is a grand lady who has taken off her blinders. Yameli then reminds Diana that the important thing is to report Charly and ensure that justice is done.

Ep 55: Part 2 Deadly Intentions OR History Repeats Itself

Below, in the garage, Toño enters the building. Upstairs, Diana cries as she recounts how Charly almost strangled her…Charly is capable of anything. After Yameli assures her that Charly won’t have time to do anything more to Diana, she confides how she helped the DEA catch Monchis; so Yameli still has contacts…she will call Rizzo so that he can contact the cops and get them some protection. Diana finally agrees to turn in Charly…he won’t hurt anyone anymore. They agree to meet downstairs—Yameli will call Rizzo and Diana will call the accountant to gather all the info. Before Yameli leaves, they each assure each other that they will never be alone…they have each other. After Yameli leaves the office, Toño approaches and puts on his ski mask. He enters Diana’s office as Diana calls the accountant and tells him to gather all the info since she is going to turn in Charly the next morning. Toño grabs the phone and tells Diana that he came for her, but Diana yells out to Lareli. As Toño is strangling Diana, Yameli runs in and jumps on him. As Toño tries to get her off of him, Yameli pulls off his mask. Toño finally throws her down and is about to shoot her when Diana hits him on the head with a vase. Toño shoves Diana out the glass wall. As she lays on the floor, Toño approaches her and she recognizes him. She pleads with him not to kill her, but he cold-bloodedly shoots her. Yameli jumps him again, but this time Toño pushes her off with such force that he sends her flying across the floor rendering her unconscious.

Toño calls Charly who has Vanessa asleep at his side. When Charly goes to the other room, Toño tells him that things turned out badly. Diana went crazy. His mask was pulled off and she recognized him…they struggled and he misfired and shot her. Somber music plays as Charly processes all he has been told and looks at Vanessa who is still asleep on the couch. After he asks if Diana is dead, Toño tells him that the DEA informant was there..Lari Andrade. After Toño assures him that Lareli helped capture Monchis and that Monchis died thinking that Charly was protecting that broad, Charly realizes why Monchis accused him when he died. Toño then asks what they are going to do; so Charly tries to wash his hands of the whole mess and tells Toño to disappear since he was the one who killed Diana, but Toño threatens that if he is caught, he will tell them that Charly gave the order.

After they end the call, Charly slithers down the wall crying, but quickly gets up and gathers some things to take with him. While in the elevator, Charly recalls telling Toño to only give Diana a scare. He cries as he slithers down the wall again, but before the doors open, he pulls himself together and walks out…on a mission.

Charly arrives at Luxor and falls to the floor crying after he sees Diana. As he sobs, he puts on his black gloves and turns Yameli over and drags her a ways. He gets the gun, wipes off Toño’s fingerprints, and fires two shots with the gun in Yameli’s hand. As Yameli is coming to, Charly cries as he calls the cops and reports that his wife has been shot and killed. As he continues to sob, he apologizes to Diana, but when he sees Yameli has awoken, he asks why she killed Diana. Yameli repeatedly denies that she didn’t do it, but Charly, giving the performance of his lifetime, curses her and tells her to leave. Horrified, Yameli slowly leaves, not knowing that history is repeating itself…once again, Charly has framed her.

Agent Olmedo and Detective Contreras are now at Luxor, After Olmedo reports that the husband is at the scene. Contreras orders that they secure the crime scene; he doesn’t want any errors. Inside, Charly sits looking devastated as the body bag is being zipped up. Contreras and Olmeda approach Charly to question him, but he isn’t ready to answer questions; so they sit with him as they give him some time.

Ep 55: Part 3 Deadly Intentions OR History Repeats Itself

Yameli is walking aimlessly outside. She approaches a group at a food stand and asks to borrow a phone. Yameli calls Juanjo and tells him that Diana has just been killed. After she assures him that she didn’t kill her, she asks Juanjo to go to her apartment and gather everything and anything containing her real name…letters and all. Juanjo keeps asking what happened, but Yameli doesn’t have time to tell him; she will tell him later... he just needs to get to her apartment ASAP. When Yameli hears the sirens, she quickly hangs up and runs off.

At Luxor, Charly tells the detective that he was with his daughter, but remembered that he had to sign some papers by morning early morning. He then tells them that when he came out of the elevator, he saw his wife on the floor with a gunshot wound and Lari was beside her with a gun in her hand. When Lari came to, he asked her why she did this despicable thing and she ran off like the coward she is. After Olmedo and Contreras look at each other questioningly, they tell Charly that he will have to go in to the station to give a full statement…he will have time later to talk to his daughter.

Charly is escorted out of the building where his fans have gathered, curious about all the commotion. He walks solemnly as he tries to avoid all the cameras.

Juanjo picks the lock and enters Yameli’s apartment, He searches everywhere and gathers everything that could identify Yameli. Meanwhile, Yameli goes to Zaria’s place.

Charly is now at the station spewing out all the information to implicate Lareli. He was in a relationship with her since he was planning on getting a divorce, but then he decided to reconcile with his wife and get his family back. Lareli went crazy when he told her. As he continues his web of lies, Yameli confides in Zaria all that just happened. Yameli cries that Charly is going to blame her… he’s going to do it to her again! When Yameli mentions that she won’t go to prison again, Zaria is not understanding, but Yameli is lost in her thoughts and deduces that Charly put the gun in her hand.

At the station, Olmeda comments that Charly must be very interested in finding his wife’s murderer. Charly feigns disbelief since it is obvious that Lareli is the murderer, but Contreras tells him that that remains to be seen…depending on the evidence. When Charly insists that, as far as he is concerned, Lareli is the murderer, Contreras retorts that he is not Charly…he needs to continue with his investigation.

At Zaria’s place, Yameli decides to tell Zaria her whole story…she wants to show Zaria and everyone else what a POS Charly really is.

Jarifa, thanks for the heads up on "Cita a Ciegas"...sounds interesting and a good break from all the drama. I wish I had read this earlier so that I could try to record it on Las Estrellas....just to get a feel for it :-)

And yes, it does sound like Univision could take some lessons from Telemundo. If they want to keep their ratings, they really should...and follow through!

REINA

Your recap was what writers aspire to create.

A short story of superb merit with heart and wisdom. You’ve outdone yourself Rgv Chick. A tale of confessions, admissions and forgiveness.

Armed with the knowledge Diana’s “scare” was in Tono’s hands, we knew something would go terribly wrong. Despite that, the way last night’s utterly heart -breaking events went down is hard to process. I’m still in shock at what occurred.

Out of the blue: “Yameli was in love with Charly and he got her pregnant; and then Charly sent her to prison…she doesn’t even know where her son is. Diana cries as she asks Yameli to forgive her”. The truth, woman to woman.

“Diana confides that she knew about the songs and asks Yameli to forgive her for being Charly’s puppet and accomplice” – courage to admit the truth and ask forgivenss.

“Yameli knows that people make mistakes and learn from them; Diana was with Charly for so many years…and she is a grand lady who has taken off her blinders” was the truth. And now, a loving mother is dead.

I must admit, the only relief I had was that Diana never learned of Yamel’s affair with Charly. Had that been the way things had gone down, the outcome might have been very different.

Despite all the careful planning, dedication and subterfuge, Yameli is now the one on the run. Not outdone by cunning, but by the vindictiveness of Tono. She was crushed last night and you felt her pain.

I’m pinning my hopes on Ben to intercede and get this right.

The only scene that gave any comfort was Juanjo retrieving Yameli’s belongings with a small smile as he saw the box with the letters.

I hope the detectives quickly see that Charly’s given them Yameli’s head on a plate a bit too easily.

The acting was again superior – every character played their part perfectly.

How fitting that your beautiful recap would accompany this Rgv Chick. Thank you…

Diana

"REINA":

Univision needs to move this to 9:00 PM CST.

REINA

Oh my, Rgv Chick. I imagine this was a hard recap to write. Such a devastating episode to watch, much less recount in detail. I do love though how questionable characters gets a chance to redeem their lives and ask forgiveness for their mistakes before dying. That was a beautiful reconciliation scene between Charly's two wronged women-- and a beautiful death scene.

Don't get me wrong. It was also graphic, cruel and horrifying. But the arrangement of the bodies on the white tile floor was like a lovely mosaic. Evidently the camera man thought so too since he focused repeatedly on that scene.

I loved how you lingered over the scenes of Charly SLITHERING to the floor twice, but each time pulling himself together to get the necessary job done. Yes, he has brief moments of humanity; quickly eclipsed by self-serving, callous shifting of blame. Up until now, this strategy has worked for him. But since it's "ultimas semanas" we know justice will eventually catch up with him. Wish we had an "ultimas semanas" notice for some of the actual cruel, callous people in life!

And thanks Jarifa for alerting us to the great job Telemundo is doing. I never watch that channel but evidently I should. Hoping to eventually see Reina del Sur II on Roku.

Thanks Rgv Chick for hanging in there on this one, in spite of your many other responsibilities. You and Diana both deserve gold stars and a crown to put them in.

Hello all.

Chickie, thank you so much. I was out with a friend yesterday , and I only got to See the last five minutes. I saw Charly sobbing to guys who seemed like police , and I supposed that Tono had killed Diana , and Charly had been arrested. wow. I never imagined that Charly had once again framed Yami. THese writers are on fire. Now where will this go? Will Juanjo somehow be Yami's key to survive. She has nobody else. Rizzo and Jack seem to be out of the picture. WOw

REINA-SOY

Thank you, Diana, JudyB, and Susanlynn, your graciousness and insightful thoughts just add to my interest in this show.

Diana, "Armed with the knowledge Diana’s “scare” was in Tono’s hands, we knew something would go terribly wrong." Well the previews said that someone was going to die and, though we suspected it would be Diana, I was hoping Tono would be the one to die. Once I saw that Diana was expressing how proud she was of Vanessa and asking Yameli for forgiveness, our suspicions were even more validated.

JudyB, "That was a beautiful reconciliation scene between Charly's two wronged women-- and a beautiful death scene...the arrangement of the bodies on the white tile floor was like a lovely mosaic." What a great observation and you conveyed it masterfully. And wasn't it fascinating how the two women fought together against a man who had harmed/would be harming them? That entire scene was expertly written and portrayed.

Diana, I do hope Ben (Rizzo) comes in to help Yameli out of yet another mess created by Charly. If the detectives do their job correctly, they will find plenty of evidence to implicate Charly. Diana was on the phone with the accountant when Tono interrupted her call. If they will look closely, they will find the two bullet holes from the shots Charly had Yameli fire when she was out cold. Javier and Axel should be questioned; and if they tell the truth, there is more than enough evidence to disprove that Yameli was not the murderer.

Susanlynn, I do think Juanjo will be key in exonerating Yameli. Oh and did you all catch the flirting between Wendy and Cris? Hmmm, now there is a possibility and a distraction for Wendy!

Vanessa is going to be devastated when she learns of her mother's death; they had just reconciled and Vanessa was going to live with her. How will Vanessa react when she finds out that it was actually her father who is responsible for her mother's death. I'm so glad she has been spending so much time with Lidia and Erick; at least she'll still have a family to support her.

Steve, TBH, I am happy with the time slot for this TN. If it aired at 9(C), I would have to stay up even later to post the recap!

Have a wonderful day Patio Pals!

RGV: Excellent pick up on a riveting recap. Good title too as I was also thinking history repeats itself so can Yameli beat the rap this time around.... Like Judy B, I agree that "slithering" is most appropriate and says it all.
--I keep thinking that the call to the accountant was cut short and this may help in the long run to see that justicia is finally done. I wasn't certain that Yami had started her phone call to Rizzo or not. I have to rewatch some, especially the ending. Chris Vega and Wendy as an item this late int the game? I think it would be initiated on his part to turn her head and to get her to promote him to Juanjo even more so. Ugh. Chris makes my skin crawl just looking at him. He's a pig waiting for a blanket to be rolled in as far as I'm concerned and always has been. Who'd want to hire a guy who runs to the nearest reporter to whine about his employer like that. Suck it up and move on. Sheesh. As for Yami, "Despite all the careful planning, dedication and subterfuge, Yameli is now the one on the run. Not outdone by cunning, but by the vindictiveness of Tono. She was crushed last night and you felt her pain." ITA. And yeah, Wendy needs a keeper, Steve. Let's hope she's not as fertil as she hopes--or at least finds it difficult to replicate right now. She needs to meet Blonde Song Producer Man (Javier?) who is now no longer going to have Diana around and run away with him. AS for Toño, he screwed Charly twice now. Poor Charly for re-involving himself with that dog. However, as always, Charly Flow always takes the easiest path around.... Enough rambling. Thanks again, RGV!

Susanlynne: I agree that Jack had sense enough to see the handwriting on the wall. Rizzo, though, owes Yami in a big way and I do believe he will take part in making the case to the police that Charly cannot be believed. He knows the truth of Yami's reasons for being in jail.

REINA

"...though we suspected it would be Diana, I was hoping Tono would be the one to die. Once I saw that Diana was expressing how proud she was of Vanessa and asking Yameli for forgiveness, our suspicions were even more validated". So true Rgv Chick! I hoped in vain the threat against Diana was all too obvious. But Diana died with a clear conscience and as a good person and loving mother. She had nothing further to confess and she did not die alone.

"the arrangement of the bodies on the white tile floor was like a lovely mosaic" was lovely Judy. I savored all of your observations.

Jardinera, how nice to see you! I hope you will be commenting more often. "He's a pig waiting for a blanket to be rolled in" had me laughing out loud. Your wry wit is sharp and on point.

Susanlynn, have no idea where this is going but I can't wait to find out. I suspect Jack is out of the picture for good. Yameli's salvation seems rooted in her distant past and immediate present.

Diana

Hi, Jardinera,I am so glad that you have joined us for this one. It has moved along at a good pace with good writing and acting and interesting twists and turns. I have loved your snappy comments over these many years, amiga. I

Diana, this show has been a fun, exciting ride , hasn't it ? I

JUdyb, I liked your description of the artistic arrangement of the two bodies, but I am glad that I only saw the last five minutes of Charly doing his best acting as an evil weasel and missed that visual of those those two women.

Our heatwave continues here.

REINA

Our heatwave continues in the midwest too Susanlynn.

And like you, I'm delighted that our sassy, snappy Jardinera has come to join in. The party's always livelier when she's here.

Judyb...yes I remember many interesting conversations led by Jardinera and Carlos over the years . Cheers.

I am anxious to see what happens tonight. I am hoping for a happy ending for Yami, Erick, and Juanjo as a little family unit. Juanjo has not we very proactive and a bit wimpy and lackadaisical , but he seems to have a good heart and has been pining for Yami all these years. Onward we go.

Not to rain again on Uni's parade- Sony or Telerisa's - but did anyone else notice that the shot hit Diana in the pelvis/lower gut region and she died almost immediately? Didn't know that was a kill shot. The head, the heart, the femoral artery? Is that what supposedly he managed to knick at an angle? I thought she'd have a chance to survive a bit longer. What am I missing here?

Susanlynne: I hope you've been able to watch the episodios if only for the great musical performances. To paraphrase the American classic, American Bandstand... it all has had a great beat and we know at least the kids at the skateboard park can all dance to it. (Kids my age...not so much.)

Diane: yup, I happily binged on this one to catch up. I had no idea at first what I might be getting into but I was desperate to find a new tn I could whole-heartedly dumpster dive into. This one was a terrific surprise. : > ))

Sorry! Diana/Susanlynn!! Spelling bad memory these days.

REINA

Jardinera, so nice to see you back on a patio...WELCOME BACK!!

I don't think Yameli got to make the call to Rizzo either. IIRC, she was just dialing when she heard Diana yell. I, too, am hoping that the accountant steps up and reports everything he has found. The mere fact that Diana told him that she was going to report Charly the following morning should lead the detectives in the right direction.

I did notice that shot below the waistline and thought the exact same thing--not a killshot...or so I thought.

A fun, exciting ride it is!! And this patio just keeps getting better :-)

Heatwave just started up again this week here. Last week we had a nice break with that "cold" front that came in.

"REINA":

I don't see Charly getting his BIGLY anvil until the Gran Final if it ever happens.

Jardinera....ah..yes..American Bandstand and that stock phrase " It has a good beat, and I can dance to it! " (I just saw "Rocketman" based on the life of Elton John. It was good. )

Ep 56: Part 1 Pretenses and Lies Don’t Fool Everyone

At Zaria’s place, Yameli tells her story as Zaria records. She adds that 18 years later, Charly is now trying to frame her for his wife’s murder. After Yameli recounts how Diana was murdered by Toño, she asserts that she is innocent now, just as she was 18 years ago.

Charly arrives at Lidia’s house bawling and stumbling out of his pretentious grief. He tells them that Diana was killed…and he doesn’t know how to tell Vanessa. He asks that they help him tell Vanessa.

Juanjo arrives at his home and gets the 3rd degree from Wendy; so he tells her about Diana getting killed, and Charly trying to blame Yameli for it.

At Zaria’s place, Yameli finishes her recording by stating that she is doing this for that 16 year old girl who fell in love with Charly, believed in him, had hopes and dreams and whose life Charly destroyed. After she finishes, Zaria cries in disbelief and feels very sorry for Yameli. Yameli tells her that she needs her help…Zaria needs to prove that Yameli is innocent becauseshe can’t go back to prison. Zaria assures her that she won’t go to prison; Zaria believes her.. and believes in her.

Charly, Lidia and Erick arrive at Charly’s place. After Charly composes himself, he wakes Vanessa and tells her that her mother died. Lidia and Erick watch as Vanessa breaks down crying not wanting to believe that her mother is dead. Lidia and Erick have no words that can console Vanessa, so they continue to watch as Charly holds Vanessa tight as he tells her that Lareli shot her mother.

Next Day—

Zaria wakes Yameli and turns on the TV to show her the news report about Diana’s death…the media doesn’t have details and is waiting for the investigation to be completed,

Detective Contreras tells Agent Olmedo that he wants to be the first to see the DNA results.

At the funeral home, Charly stands before everyone as he pretends that Diana’s death hit him hard…he can’t get used to the idea that she will no longer be with them. He continues his pathetic performance until he asks everyone to applaud Diana so that she can hear them wherever she is. As he listens, Axel recalls how Charly wished that Diana didn’t exist and that she would disappear from the planet.

Charly hugs Vanessa as they stand by Diana’s casket. He thanks Diana for giving him the best gift, his daughter, whom he will take care of.

Erick hugs Vanessa and consoles her as she cries. When Vanessa tells Erick that she can’t believe Lareli killed her mother, Erick can’t believe it either. When Vanessa comments what a good friend Lareli was to her and wonders why Lareli would do such a thing, Erick suggests that they not jump to conclusions so quickly…everything is odd…just because Lareli was holding the gun, doesn’t mean that she did it. Vanessa then wonders why Lareli is not there, but Erick doesn’t know how to answer. As he hugs her again, Serg approaches and gives his condolences to Erick, then to Vanessa. He knows how she feels because he lost his father too…and he will always be there for her.

Ep 56: Part 2 Pretenses and Lies Don’t Fool Everyone

Miguel, the DJ, gives his condolences to Charly. After they comment that they have all known each other since they were kids, Miguel offers to pay homage to Diana through his radio station. El Buho then approaches and asks Charly if he can say his farewell to Diana; so Charly agrees.

Charly is by himself when Axel approaches and comments about all the rumors going around that Lareli killed Diana. After Charly assures him that Lareli did kill Diana, Axel argues and defends Lareli, so Charly reminds him that he also had his concerns about Lareli. Axel agrees, but he doesn’t think Lareli would kill Diana. Charly tries to give Axel his story about Lareli being obsessed with him, but Axel knows that it was Charly who was obsessed with Lareli and it was she who broke up with him. Charly adds that Lareli tried to get back with him, but he told her that he was trying to make things work with Diana. Charly again gives a pity-me performance since he feels so bad for himself and for his daughter. Axel backs down and knows that Charly loved Diana. Charly quickly emphasizes that he did love Diana…and the cops should be arriving soon to ask question; so Axel should tell them the truth—that he and Diana loved each other and were trying to reconcile.

Juanjo and Wendy arrive. After they give their condolences to Lidia, Juanjo goes to sit with Charly to give him his condolences…they may have difference, but Charly can count on him. Charly remarks that he doesn’t know how he will get through this; so Juanjo assure him that he will get through it…he always does. When Charly comments that his wife is dead…and Lareli is a fugitive, Juanjo starts questioning him; so Charly tells Juanjo that Lareli killed Diana. Juanjo asks if Charly actually saw Lareli take the shot, so Charly admits that he did not. Juanjo then suggests that they wait until the investigation is completed so that they can get a detailed explanation of what happened. After Charly insists that Lareli killed Diana, they start to argue, but then agree that this is not the place for this discussion.

Juanjo speaks to Erick who hates seeing his niece so sad. When he asks Juanjo if he believes that Lareli killed Diana, Juanjo assures him that Lari is innocent. Erick then wonders why Lareli hasn’t shown up…why she hasn’t talked to the police to explain what happened, so Juanjo asks Erick to imagine what it would be like to be wrongly accused…he would be looking for evidence to exonerate himself and that is what Lareli is probably doing. Erick then asks Juanjo to tell Lareli that the fact that she has not appeared makes her look guilty. When he adds that Vanessa adores Lareli , but is convinced that it was Lareli who killed her mother, Juanjo asks what it is that Erick thinks…what is it that he feels. With tears rolling down his face, Erick replies that he doesn’t know. Juanjo explains that in their country, a person has to prove their innocence or they will be locked up for years before going to trial. He then tells Erick that if there is one thing he can be sure of, it’s that Lareli is innocent.

On the other side of the room, Lidia comments to Charly that she still doesn’t understand why Lareli would kill Diana; she seemed like such a good person. When she notices Charly’s hesitation, she asks him to tell her what he knows; so Charly tells her that he had something going on with Lareli. Lidia can’t believe how stupid Charly could be. After they go sit down, Charly starts his sob story that he and Diana were going through a bad time and he just let himself go (with the Flow). Lidia still can’t believe that Lareli would kill Diana because of jealousy. Charly tries to convince her too that he and Diana were trying to reconcile, but when Lareli found out she went berserk…they never knew who that woman (Lareli) was and she ended up being a crazed murderer. After Charly assures Lidia that justice will be done, Lidia tells him not to worry because the truth always comes out…no matter how painful it is. Charly certainly hopes it does not come out.)

Juanjo and Wendy are having coffee at the funeral home. When Wendy asks if Juanjo has heard from Yameli and why she doesn’t turn herself in. Juanjo replies that Yameli is probably scared after all the things Charly has said about her. Juanjo then comments that Charly is the only one who benefits from Diana’s death…Charly always makes sure he gets what he wants. They decide to go back with the family; Juanjo wants to make sure he hears what else Charly has to say.

At Zaria’s place, Zaria approaches Yameli and tells her that one of her friends has informed her that the police are getting ready to release Yameli’s photo. When she suggests that Yameli should leave, Yameli assures her that she won’t do anything to implicate Zaria. Zaria doesn’t worry about that because there is no way that anyone can connect them, but they do need to come up with a plan to prove her innocence. Zaria thinks that Yameli needs to remain in hiding; they need the time to prove her innocence. Zaria brings up the cameras at Luxor, but Yameli is sure that Charly has already deleted al the evidence. Zaria then gives Yameli a new cell phone. When she tries to give her some money, Yameli refuses it, but Zaria insists since they are in this together. After Yameli thanks Zaria, she assures her that she will pay back everything that Zaria is doing for her...and she leaves not knowing where she will go.

At the mortuary, Juanjo sees Charly leaving and decides to follow him. Wendy tries to stop him, so Juanjo explains that Yameli confided that Charly is trying to set her up again…and if anyone knows what is going on, it’s Charly.

Charly is getting off the escalator when Vanessa sees him and quickly approaches him to ask why he told her that he wanted to get back with her mother. When he adds to his lie that he and Diana talked after Vanessa left, Vanessa demands that he stop lying because she talked to her mother who told her the exact opposite. As they argue, Juanjo passes by so they get quiet. Once Juanjo has passed, Vanessa continues that her mother told her that Charly had to learn…and that everything has consequences. When Charly insists that he talked to Diana, Vanessa strongly reinterates that he is lying because her mother told her contrary to what he is saying. When she asks what Charly thinks Diana meant when she said that everything has consequences, Charly anxiously answers that he doesn’t know… they were going through a divorce and he did some things that were not right. Vanessa argues that she has ben trying to figure things out and wonders is it has to do with Lareli. She gets frustrated and only wants the truth…she is tired of Charly treating her like she is stupid. When Charly tells her that what happened with Lari was a mistake, Vanessa storms off telling him that her mother was right—he is selfish!

Ep 56: Part Pretenses and Lies Don’t Fool Everyone

Axel talks to his girlfriend about the rumors that are going around about Lareli; he doesn’t think Lareli is a murderer…and she was getting along very well with Diana…something just doesn’t jive. When the girl tells him not to worry about it and to not say anything, Axel worries because Charly is his best friend and he is sure to be interrogated.

Outside, Charly gets into his vehicle and drives off. Juanjo quickly follows him.

Inside the funeral home, Erick tells Lidia that he doesn’t believe that Lareli would shoot anyone, much less Diana. When Lidia tells him that they never really know what a person is like, Erick argues that he knows Lareli well; she is an angel with him. When Lidia insists that people can be pretentious, Erick asks her if she thinks Lareli is crazy and a hypocrite; so Lidia tells him that Lareli had an affair with Charly…and a woman is capable of doing anything to get what she wants. When she adds that Charly told her about wanting to reconcile with Diana and that Lareli went crazy after he told her, Erick can’t believe Lidia would believe Charly’s story.

Wendy goes to Erick who asks her if Juanjo knows where Lareli is. After Wendy assures him that Juanjo doesn’t know, Erick explains that he figured Juanjo would know since he and Lareli are so tight. Wendy hopes that the police will soon find Lareli but Erick hopes not….the story is not complete and there are things that are odd. When he adds that Lareli may have made some mistakes, but she isn’t a murderer, Wendy agrees.

Charly arrives at a remote site and Juanjo follows not too far behind. Juanjo gets off his truck and walks slowly to get a better look. When he sees Charly meeting with Toño, he quickly gets his phone to record the meeting. Juanjo watches as Charly punches Toño twice and chides him for killing his wife and ruining everything. When Toño mentions that Charly at least knows the truth and that Lareli is not a music producer, Charly agrees and orders Toño to waste Lareli. Toño agrees to do it now, but warns Charly never to touch him again. Charly grabs Toño and warns him not to threaten him… Toño just needs to waste Lareli.

REINA-SOY

Rgv Chick, another tour de force. “Charly starts his sob story that he and Diana were going through a bad time and he just let himself go (with the Flow)”. Just perfection.

“Charly arrives at Lidia’s house bawling and stumbling out of his pretentious grief” could not have described that nauseating scene better.

I found the funeral cold and austere, devoid of the warmth Diana so desperately sought in life.

“He continues his pathetic performance until he asks everyone to applaud Diana so that she can hear them wherever she is” was astounding in its audacity.

One of the flaws in Charly’s plan is that those to whom Yameli has been kind and caring have come to her rescue. Zaria and Juanjo certainly. Erick’s heart and mind are telling him Yameli could not have murdered Diana and Vanesa does not believe Charly’s lies about reconciling with Diana for a moment.

Further, “Axel argues and defends Lareli, so Charly reminds him that he also had his concerns about Lareli. Axel agrees, but he doesn’t think Lareli would kill Diana”. When your lifelong friend (whom you have treated like dirt) is suspicious, what conclusion will the police come to?

I was a bit surprised that Charly had the guts to pummel Tono. Happy but surprised. Tono talks big when he has a weapon but is a cowardly, scared little man when unarmed.

“Charly agrees and orders Toño to waste Lareli”. A task Tono, a killer without conscience, will likely relish. I am looking forward to justice being served to him as much as to Charly.

Rgv Chick, your scene descriptions vivid and painted a clear, vivid picture. You have such insight and knowledge of each and every character. I’m in awe. Thank you.

Diana

REINA

Thanks so much Rgv Chick. This show was upsetting me so much last night, I had to stop watching. Although I did finish it up this morning. You did a wonderful job of showing the Charly facade during all this: His "pity me performance" was just that. But then he is a consummate performer and no doubt enjoyed every moment of his star billing as the bereaved spouse.

Also liked your inclusion of this:

At Zaria’s place, Yameli finishes her recording by stating that she is doing this for that 16 year old girl who fell in love with Charly, believed in him, had hopes and dreams and whose life Charly destroyed.

A reminder that Charly has also been part of a "soul murder" years ago. His path to fame and success has been paved over crushed lives and broken hearts.

Good friend, I would not want to have to recap this at the end of a long, hard day so I thank you all the more for your dedicated work. You're the best.

Hello all.

Chickie, wow, thank you for that outstanding recap of all the deceit and drama. This show is the best I have seen in years...excellent writing and acting, and I can't wait to read the wonderful recaps every morning with my coffee and Cheerios.

Well, Charly , enjoy your swan song because in the end, the truth will come out. Sinking ship. Cornered rat. Choose whichever metaphor you like.

I know that some of us feared that Monchis was still alive sonewhere, but it seems that he isn't but his evilness still exists in his star pupils , Charly and Tono, and he taught them well.

I was happy that Juanjo followed the Flow ,but I kept thinking "How can Charly and Tono NOT see that huge truck of Juanjo's????

I worry that Wendy might use this opportunity to eliminate her rival Yami. I think Wendy might just be that vicious and desperate.

So, are Juanjo and Zaria the only lifelines Yami has , or is Rizzo going to come riding in with the calvary? Has he been keeping tabs on Yami, or has he left her to pursue the next criminal on a long list ?I

When I watch these shows or real life drama playing out around me , I always think of a line from the Beatles..." And in the end, the love you take is equal to the love you make. " It is one of the truest quotes I have in my huge collection of quotes that I have gathered and recorded in multiple journals over many years.

REINA-SOY

"...is Rizzo going to come riding in with the calvary?" I hope so Susanlynn. He doesn't seem to be part of the equation at all, does he?

I'm really hoping the police are shrewd enough to deduce what occurred. Their expressions seem serious and they don't appear to be buying what Charly is selling. We shall see...

Diana

Good Afternoon, Patio!

I'm quite late to the patio...had to take my smallest dog to the vet because a big dog wanted a taste of her and she got bit pretty bad.

Thank you, Diana, JudyB, and Susanlynn. I read your comments in the waiting room but I hate to use my phone to comment...more typos than usual. As always, we all seem to be on the smae wavelength regarding the events. Charly was nauseatingly pathetic with all his lies and pretenses; so yes, JudyB, it was quite difficult to write the recap especially the scenes he was in.

Diana, "I found the funeral cold and austere, devoid of the warmth Diana so desperately sought in life." It was definitely cold in there; how sad for Diana who was truly in love with a monster that she only came to really know recently.

JudyB, "A reminder that Charly has also been part of a "soul murder" years ago. His path to fame and success has been paved over crushed lives and broken hearts." Oh wise one, your eloquence never ceases to amaze me. I just hope Charly reaps what he sows ten-fold.

Susanlynn, "I was happy that Juanjo followed the Flow ,but I kept thinking "How can Charly and Tono NOT see that huge truck of Juanjo's????" Beanie time? And if Juanjo's video picks up what they are saying then I will have to double up on my beanies.

I don;t think Yameli will call Rizzo. He is, after all, an agent and he will want her to give herself up; and that means jail time for Yameli and she won't be able to gather the evidence that she needs. Zaria and Juanjo will help her, but I'm sure she wants to be out there looking for those pieces of evidence that will prove Chalry was behind everything.

Diana, "I'm really hoping the police are shrewd enough to deduce what occurred. Their expressions seem serious and they don't appear to be buying what Charly is selling. We shall see..." Detective Contreras seems to be more on the up and up than Agent Olmedo. If he talks to the right people he'll definitely figure out tha Yameli is being framed. I'm not sure Axel will talk, but the accountant should...if Charly doesn't threaten him. There are so many other people that know Charly is lying about the reconciliation. I kept hoping Javier would show up to the funeral. And I was surprised that Wendy and Juanjo didn't mention the discrepancies in the budget when they were wondering who would benefit from Diana's death.

I'm looking forward to seeing Charly being discredited, cornered, and given his well-deserved anvil.

Rgv Chick--I'm so sorry to hear about your little dog's injury. I have children (grown) but I also had pets (until a short while ago) and it just breaks your heart when they get hurt. I hope the vet was able to help and that the medical visit was not too traumatic for your little guy (or gal) and you. I always try to hold on to the mantra "Healing is always at work." Don't know if it helps them, but it helps me calm down!

Rgv Chick, I'm so sorry to hear that your fur daughter was bitten...Is she going to be all right?? I hope she has some pain pills and she has some relief. She must have been so frightened. As were you.

Thinking and praying for both of you.

((((Chickie))) ..so sorry about your little pup. I hope that she has a,quick recovery , and with the loving care I know you're giving her, I am sure she will. Our last pet was Toby, a lively
male black lab that was brought home on Mother's Day when our girls were about 8 and 10. Growing up in a farm, all the dogs and cats were outside and lots of strays wandered to us. Whenever one died, my dad told me that he or she "went away." I used to tell hub, " i have cried enough over people I love dying, and I just can't have any more pets to cry over. " Now, people say, " you should get a pet. " No, say I, taking care of myself is a fulltime job right now. " However , my younger daughter got a golden retriever pup . Ellie is now full of strength and energy at 9 months old and pulling my daughter and two Grandgirls around. My older daughter tried to train her better on two days of walks...not enough time. I hope she calms down soon.

Thank you so much, Diana, JudyB, and Susanlynn for your kind thoughts and warm wishes. Star is a feisty little girl and though she was much smaller than the dog that bit her, she fought back like a little trooper even after wounded. Doc stitched her up and gave her some meds. She's already starting to perk up.

MIEDO

I was just watching last night's episode. Our sweet Erick on REINA is back to being a very bad boy :-(

I'm not watching Miedo, but I saw the ads and "our sweet Erick" did indeed look quite evil. Goodness!

Happy to hear that wee Star is feisty, fought back like a trooper and is on the mend. Still, a tough time for both of you!

Ep 57: Part 1 Loyalty from a Lost Son…No Longer Lost

At the funeral home, Lidia urges Vanesa not to take out her anger on her father. After Vanessa tells Lidia that Charly lied and that her mother had told her different from what her father is saying abou the reconciliation, Lidia thinks that Diana may not have wanted to say anything until she was sure about getting back with Charly. Vanessa still blames Charly and Lareli for what happened. When Vanessa remarks that Charly and Lareli are alike, Lidia asks her not to compare her father to that woman who is a murderer. Vanessa cannot believe she didn’t figure things out sooner. Lidia reminds her that the important thing is that they are a united family…that woman just came to ruin their lives…she is to blame for everything.

Charly returns to the funeral home and is questioned by the media. Charly asks that they respect him and the family. They are going to wait for the investigation to be completed; and he can’t comment on anything about the case or personal things such as his relationships. Once inside, Charly apologizes to Vanessa for not telling her about what was going on and for allowing Lareli to be in their lives. Vanessa thinks that Lareli is to blame for everything. Vanessa feels stupid for believing Lareli who pretended to be her friend and only used her to get close to Charly… Lareli even helped her with Ruko. After she explains to Charly how Yameli had Ruko put in jail, Charly assures Vanessa that he is going to make Lareli pay.

Juanjo arrives at the funeral home and asks Wendy what she has found out. After Wendy tells him that she talked to Erick who believes that Yameli is innocent, Yameli calls Juanjo. After they talk, Juanjo talks her into going to his studio. After he hangs up, Juanjo confides in Wendy that he needs to go give Yameli her things.

Detective Contreras gives Agent Olmedo the letter authorizing Diana’s cremation.

Yameli arrives at Surround Vibes as Juanjo waits for her. After they hug tightly and Juanjo shows Yameli her things, Yameli blurts out that Toño killed Diana. Juanjo shares the story that Charly is giving; so Yameli tries to explain how Diana was going to turn in Charly. Juanjo believes her and shows her the video recording of Charly and Toño. Juanjo wants to make sure Toño is caught so that he can say that it was Charly. Yameli warns him that he can’t take the risk…those people kill, but Juanjo doesn’t care; they need to get Charly. After Yameli confides that she was at Zaria’s, but left because she didn’t want to get Zaria more involved, Juanjo convinces her to stay at the studio to rest.

At Lidia’s apartment, Erick approaches Charly and asks what happened at Luxor since he is having trouble believing that Lareli is a murderer. When Charly tries to convince him that none of them really new Lareli, Erick asserts that he did know Lareli who discovered him at the Ring. She tried to convince him to go to Luxor, but he refused and went with Surround Vibes. Charly insists that Lareli brainwashed him and many others, but Erick believes that Lareli truly loved them. As Charly chides Erick for defending Lareli, Lidia approaches so Charly tells her that her other son is defending the murderer.

Ep 57: Part 2 Loyalty from a Lost Son…No Longer Lost

Next Day—

At Surround Vibes, Yameli wakes up and calls Zaria for another favor…she wants Zaria to upload the part of her video where she states that she did not kill Diana. As they talk, a news report comes on announcing that Lareli is the prime suspect. Lareli quickly leaves and calls Juanjo to let him know that she left the studio since she doesn’t want them involved.

The family arrives at the funeral home. Vanessa can’t believe that she will never see her mother again; so Serg tries to console her by telling her that their lost loved ones appear to them in their dreams. Elsewhere in the room, Juanjo tells Wendy about Yameli being at the studio. Wendy warns him about being Yameli’s accomplice, but Juanjo denies being an accomplice because Yameli is innocent. Wendy still worries that Yameli’s vengeance is causing too many problems; it has already resulted in Diana’s death. Juanjo assures her that Yameli would never hurt anyone.

After everyone sits down, the priest starts the service. As he talks, Juanjo receives a message from Yameli asking him to pick up the DNA results…she can’t wait another day without knowing. Juanjo quickly leaves and as he drives off, Toño follows him. Inside the funeral home, the priest continues the service as Javier walks up and interrupts. He accuses Charly of being a murderer… he is to blame for Diana being there. Javier knows that Charly killed her…he saw when Charly went to her house and threatened her…he left Diana in a panic. After Charly runs off Javier, he recalls how he grabbed Diana and threatened her. Afterwards, he goes to Vanessa who is crying over Diana’s casket. They all watch as the casket is rolled out.

As they exit the funeral home. Vanesa questions Charly about the man who interrupted the service. Charly replies that the man is Javier, an old acquaintance and the man her mother was going out with. Lidia interrupts and suggests that this is not the time to be telling Vanessa these things, but Charly insists that he needs to tell Vanessa about it because he is was not the only bad one in this story. Vanessa then asks why Javier said all those things; so Charly feigns ignorance and tells her that he is probably just angry and hurt. He then adds that he loved her mother very much and he loves Vanesa…he doesn’t want her thinking that he had anything to do with what happened to her mother. After Lidia suggests that they go have lunch, Charly tells them that he has to go talk to the detective. He hugs each of them, including Erick who stands rigid and cold.

Juanjo goes to the lab to pick up the results, but they refuse to give them to him unless he has a letter authorizing him to pick up the results. As the clerk leaves to go get results for the next person in line, Juanjo watches and lingers until she returns. After Juanjo sneaks into the lab and gets the results, he waits for an opportunity to leave without being seen. As he gets in his truck, Toño watches and follows him.

Ep 57: Part 3 Loyalty from a Lost Son…No Longer Lost

At Charly’s office, Detective Contreras questions Charly about his relationship with Lareli. Charly can’t say specifically how long they had an affair…maybe three weeks, but it wasn’t a formal relationship. Charly adds that Lareli was a woman with many problems…she was explosive and jealous. Every time they talked about his ex-wife or that he might reconcile with her, Lareli would react very badly…she may even be bi-polar. Contreras listens calmly with a straight, non-judgmental face. When Charly asks if they have found Lareli, Contreras tells him that they are working on it and assures him that when they find her, he will be one of the first to know.

Yameli is hiding behind a tree as she watches Lidia, Erick and Vanessa arrive at the apartment building. After they get down, Erick looks around suspiciously and tells Lidia that he wants to go for a walk. Lidia and Vanessa go inside, and Erick goes across the street to ask Yameli what she is doing there. Yameli wants him to know that she didn’t kill Diana; it is very important to her that he knows what happened before Charly arrived, but they need to go elsewhere to talk. Erick agrees.

Juanjo is driving along as he notices Toño’s white car. He speeds up then stops and gets down. As Toño slowly passes by, Juanjo looks back and sees him.

At a park, Yameli explains to Erick that she was only trying to help Diana. Erick is trying to understand and asks about the hooded man and if it was a robbery. Yameli denies knowing who it was and assures Erick that there must be evidence in Diana’s office. After Yameli promises to clear things up, Erick points out that she is making herself out to look bad by hiding. Yameli knows how it looks, but she didn’t know how to react…she had never witnessed someone getting shot. It was stupid her to run off, but she panicked. Erick remains quiet; so Yameli asks him to look into her eyes…she is innocent…she would never lie to him. Erick assures her that he believes her. They see a cop; so they start walking away. As they walk, Yameli tells Erick that she has no where to go. She admits having talked to Juanjo, but she doesn’t want to get him involved any more. Erick offers to help her, but Yameli refuses…she doesn’t want him to get involved. When Erick insists in helping her find a place to hide and adds that it is not a question, Yameli hugs her son tightly and cries.

Later, Erick goes to talk to Serg who is back selling bling. Erick needs his help with something important, but not for himself. When Serg catches sight of Yameli, he asks Erick if he is sure that he wants to help her. Erick assures him that he does. Later, Later—Yameli is at Serg’s home. Serg’s mother believes Yameli is innocent since Erick and Serg believe in her innocence. As they talk about how injustices are done and many innocent people are in jail, Juanjo arrives with the results. Yameli and Juanjo go off into a room where Yameli opens the results. She tries to read, but she can’t; so she hands it over to Juanjo. When she asks if Erick is her son, Juanjo nods with a big smile. Yameli smiles wide and hugs Juanjo.

“He hugs each of them, including Erick who stands rigid and cold”. Your perceptive eye and choice of perfect words and phrases are what propels your recaps to a higher level Rgv Chick. I’m just in awe.

In the midst of this almost intolerable events of last night, the simple yet poignant “ Erick goes to talk to Serg who is back selling bling” made me smile.

“Wendy still worries that Yameli’s vengeance is causing too many problems; it has already resulted in Diana’s death”. Harsh? Cold yes. But truthful? I fear so.

Yameli must bear some culpability for Diana’s death. Without the pictures I have no doubt Diana and Charly’s marriage would have imploded but it was escalated and aided and abetted by Yameli.

”Contreras listens calmly with a straight, non-judgmental face”. I am fervently hoping he realizes things are not what they appear. A pity he wasn’t there to witness Javier’s appearance at the funeral. It seemed to surprise some of the attendees, I wish Lidia and Vanesa had taken note, yet, I cannot fault them for wanting to believe their father/son. Thankfully, Erick not only knows Yameli’s heart, but Charly’s cruelty.

Wendy seemed to be sincere in her efforts to help. I did not see any jealousy.

Juanjo is pretty shrewd himself seeing he was being tailed by Tono. I was afraid the results were going to be stolen but thank heavens that wasn’t the case.

I was greatly heartened by Yameli ending up at Serge’s house. His mother is the one that actually gave Erick Yameli’s name. I really hope the truth is revealed there.

Rgv Chick, fantastic title and an exceptional recap. Another beautiful feather in your cap. Gracias amiga.

First I just want to echo Diana's comment:

"Rgv Chick, fantastic title and an exceptional recap. Another beautiful feather in your cap"

Indeed. It amazes me that you turn out these beautifully crafted resumens night after night. And it's not like you've had an easy, restful day.

I loved the title because it told me right off what I needed to know. Like a good headline.

And I loved the discussion with Sergio's mom where she talked about how the poor were always accused of robbing, and also presumed guilty of any crime. Even enjoyed the colorful, homey kitchen. As I've gotten more comfortable with the language, I can begin to enjoy the staging and the background of each scene in these telenovelas and appreciate all the work that goes into crafting these stories.

Alas, I am also constantly distracted by Juanjo and Erick's overly sculpted hairdos. I thought Erick was gorgeous back when his hair was natural and tousled. Now that it's gelled and shaved, he looks like some strange wildlife bird. Not good. Not for this old broad anyway.

Rather horrified that in the midst of the reading of a psalm by the priest, Juanjo was texting on his phone and Javier burst in to accuse Charly of lying. But--okay, telenovela drama. The show must go on!

Thanks Rgv Chick. You deliver on every promise.

REINA

Good Morning! And thank you, Diana and JudyB, you all always brighten my day with your kindness.

Diana, regarding Wendy, "Harsh? Cold yes. But truthful? I fear so." Wendy has always displayed that harshness and coldness toward Yameli...it even seeps through with Juanjo unless she is trying to seduce him in order to get herself pregnant. She was quite different with Cris...much more relaxed and her smile seemed genuine, not so where Yameli is concerned. It irks me that she tries to cast doubt on Yameli. She'll imply that she believes Yameli killed Diana and that Yameli is capable of causing harm to others, yet when Juanjo calls her on it, she quickly backpaddles and agrees that Yameli is incapable of hurting anyone. I wish she just speak her mind and stick to what she actually believes. At least Juanjo would know where she stands and he can act accordingly in sharing information with her.

Diana and JudyB, you both mentioned the scene at Serg's house. A very nice touch to have Serg's mother be supportive of Yameli despite not knowing her very well...and it says much about how much she trusts her son's judgement...something that is rare. Judy, I wish I had more time to enjoy all the staging. Sometimes I'll watch the episodes again during the weekends just to see what I missed in the background. This one I will have to rewatch just to look at the staging in that scene.

JudyB, "Rather horrified that in the midst of the reading of a psalm by the priest, Juanjo was texting on his phone and Javier burst in to accuse Charly of lying." Talk about bad timing and being rude. Juanjo should have at least left the room to take the call; and leaving during the service was in very bad taste. I don't think waiting a few minutes until the service ended would have made that much of a difference. And Javier barging in, making his accusations, and then storming out was a little over the top for me too. But you hit the nail on the head...TN Drama!!

Steve, if anyone blurts out Yameli' sname it will be Wendy. We'll just have to wait and see who makes the revelation. I hope it's Yameli...in the same manner that she revealed herself to Monchis.

Well, I wrote a long comment and lost it !*@#

So short and sweet.......

CHickie, thank you so much for that detailed recap. It answered some questions I had.

Serg has been the epitome of a loyal friend to Erick and to Vanessa despite getting hurt due to his his attempt to protect Vsnessa. Likew ise, it is wonderful to see how his mother supports her son.

I am hoping that this quirky detective is a Colombo. I got a kick out of watching him pause to adjust that decorative box on Charly' s desk.

I am on the edge of my seat watching to see how this story will unfold. Does anyone know how many more episodes remain and when the finale will be aired? Also, what show will follow in the 7.00 slot?

OT....P.s. Chickie...how is Star doing today? I hope that you both had a good, healing night's sleep.

OT...Our heatwave is taking a break today...low 80s. The hot summer seems to be having an effect on the critters. I found about 100 little, dead bees on the floor of my sliding glass door in my dining room when I got home after a 2 week vacation.

REINA-SOY

Susanlynn, I'm glad your questions were answered. I'm trying to think of who that quirky detective reminds me of. I keep thinking of Magnum PI's sidekick--wassisname? but he wasn't a detective...anywho, Contreras always has this look that says, "You ain't got me fooled, dude" and I'm hoping the look matches what he is actually thinking. Oh it would be cool if he smoked a pipe as he is in deep in thought!

OT- Star has her tail up and wagging, so she's feeling better. Thanks for asking :-)

I think there are 82 episodes in this TN, If that is correct, then there are 25 episodes left...WOW this went by fast!

REINA-SOY

"I got a kick out of watching him pause to adjust that decorative box on Charly' s desk". I'm so happy you mentioned that susanlynn. That was a great touch and even better, seemed to really annoy Charly.

I'm glad your heat has abated - for the moment.

And hugs to Star on her recovery Rgv Chick. She is a trooper. Just like her mother.

Diana

OT.. " her tail up and wagging " says it all, doesn't it ?
