JUNTOS, EL CORAZÓN NUNCA SE EQUIVOCA Capítulo 10 Monday 8/26/19 Part 1

Just a single episode tonight. Yay!

We start out with Ubaldo and Isarnio at his hideaway apartment. A man, unknown to us, (I think I will call him “the fixer guy” ) walks in and tells Ubaldo ithat once the plan is put in effect, there will be no turning back. Ubaldo tells him to do what he needs to do.

Ari, Temo and little Arqui are at the pool. Ari talks to little Arqui about Eduardo being his dad and about how Ari is still going to see him all the time just like his mother would have wanted. The brothers are going to stick together.

Oleg is walking through the park with Carlota saying she should give herself a chance with love. Carlota stops the conversation by going to buy a churro from a female vendor who is hiding her face, It is a set up. Out of nowhere, Thiago appears with all of his fans and he sings Carlota a song about giving him a chance. Much to the fans’ horror, Carlota doesn’t want Thiago wasting his time on her. She tells him she has to turn him down because she simply is not ready. She walks away and Oleg follows catching up to her. Carlota is crying.

As Diego is felling Ari and Temo that he is going to be Little Arqui’s uncle by his relationship to him in their “chosen family”, a man comes leading little Arqui and another little boy by the hand. The man asks who little Arqui belongs to because he just bit his son on the forehead. Little Arqui bites the man’s hand to get him to let go. The other little boy says his head still hurts. The man says little Arqui cannot go around biting people like a savage. Ari tells little Arqui that he did a very bad thing and to apologize. LittleArqui apologizes to the man and to his friend. The man storms off with his son. Little Arqui seems to be ready for seconds in the mischief department and the boys go racing after him.

Dora talks with Elsa and finds out that there is no way that Olegario could be her son because he had a mother who left him and his father.

Ari, little Arqui, Audifaz, Pancho, Temo and Eduardo are all working on the jigsaw puzzle. Eduardo swears to them all that he will not fail them in taking care of little Arqui. Audifaz, with a big smile, says they all know that. He then starts talking about how being a father is not an easy thing. Pancho joins in agreeing and says one day Ari and Temo might just find that out for themselves. He talks about the enormous responsibility. Temo says they have the best fathers to learn from. Ari and Temo share hugs with their fathers.

Temo reminds Ari about the promises they made each other back on their park bench in Oaxaca years ago. He says they learned that even though they might be suffering through the worst pain ever, they can find happiness again. Ari adds that in the darkness the stars shine brighter. Little Arqui wants Ari to play with him with a toy car. The problem is it isn’t his toy car. He took it from Dora’s. Arian’s himif he stole it.

Carlota tries to play her brother’s keyboard. One of the keys has no sound. She pops it out to find out Andrés hid a zip drive under the key. At the same time, Ubaldo barges into Elsa’s home shouting out for her. Oleg wants to to know what he is doing barging into their home like that. He wants to know what she is doing and asks her if she recognizes the documents he shows her. It turns there is an investigative report that has come out about the medicine contracts with Isarnio Caballero. They were discovered to be illegal and millions of pesos have found their way into Elsa’s bank accounts. Ubaldo calla her corrupt and a traitor.Oleg jumps to her defense as her HUSBAND.

JUNTOS Part 2

Carlota plays the zip drive as the argument goes on in the living room where Elsa tells Ubaldo that she made “Ubaldo Ortega”. (Andrés’ portrait very clearly placed behind Ubaldo witnesses the scene. ) Oleg says they know he has a very close relationship with Isarnio Caballero. Elsa reminds Ubaldo she told him it wasn’t a good idea to be linked with him in any way and it was Ubaldo who made her sign those documents. Oleg says that is why they are demanding an explanation from him.

Carlota plays the vídeo her brother left. He had thought about going far away because did not want to live the life he was living. He found out about some things that he really didn’t like. In spite of their difficulties, he wanted his family to know that he really loves them. They were the most important things he had in this life. He told them Ubaldo Ortega was not the man they all thought him to be. Ubaldo was capable of tabling the very worst thing and he was going to show them. Carlota is left wondering and crying.

Oleg is now asking if Elsa is calling him a liar. She says he was the one who asked her to sign those papers. She did it to support him. Oleg asks what Ubaldo got Elsa into. Ubaldo insists he did not get her into anything. He just came by to talk to Elsa. He accuses Oleg of NOT being a lawyer.

Ari and Temo talk to little Arqui about his behavior and how he is suddenly doing things like fighting with kids, taking what does not belong to him. Ari tells him he misses their mom, too, but doing bad things isn’t going to take away the pain . Temo talks about his experience with his anger when he never got to meet his mother. He used to go and throw a ball against a wall outside as hard as he could until one day it broke a neighbor’s window and hit her in the head. It was then he realized that other people were not responsible for the pain he was feeling. Ari explains that he, Temo and Eduardo will always be there to listen to him. Little Arqui apologizes. Ari is going to go with him so he can apologize to Dora.

A little boy brings Nora an envelope at the pharmacy. It is a message from”B” who has come back for her. This time nobody or nothing will keep them apart.

Temo, Ari and little Arqui pay Dora a visit where little Arqui apologizes for having taken the truck and returns it. Dora nods knowingly.

Ubaldo tells Elsa that he will see her at the office tomorrow.This isn’t over yet. As for Oleg, he screams at him about his damn column and tells him to be real careful if he is going to slander him. Oleg assures him he only reports the truth and they do still have freedom of speech. Ubaldo grans him by his jacket and Oleg tries to break free as they continue arguing.Carlota chooses not to come out. Elsa hands Ubaldo his documents back amd he finally leaves, Ubaldo tells Elsa he is going to talk to a lawyer who is an expert I; these matters.

Ep 74: Part 1 Walls Closing In and Nowhere to Run

Standing in front of Charly’s fans, Carolina assures reporters that Charly wrote his own songs, so they plan to sue Yameli for defamation. Sara, the president of Charly’s fan club, shouts out that they want justice…Yameli better shut up or face the consequences! When the reporter interviews her, Sara assures everyone that they will not allow anyone to talk so badly about Charly who is such a good (for nothing?) person. They will not allow it!!

Carolina go inside Luxor and informs Charly that she has already filed the complaint against Yameli. When she adds that the judge allowed the submission of the recording, Charly reproaches her since she assured him that that would not happen. Caro takes offense and suggests that he find himself another lawyer if he doesn’t like her work, so Charly retorts that she should understand how he feels since he can go to prison for something he didn’t do. Caro assures him that the recording is not sufficient to have him arrested, but he will be interrogated and pressured; so he has to stand firm when he makes his statement.

Detective Bowtie talks to the judge and tells him about the case and the witnesses they have. They only have an official statement from Yameli, but they have others that they still need; those witnesses, however, are afraid of Charly. After Bowtie convinces the judge to order Charly not to leave the country, he mentions Marlene’s murder and how Charly is involved…but they don’t have the official statement from the witness who submitted the recording. The judge emphasizes that Bowtie needs to get the statement and physical evidence to prove that Charly was involved.

Erick and Irma are with Serg at his Bling Bling Movil. Serg asks Erick and Irma to take care of his business while he goes to spend time with Vanessa. When Vanessa suggests that Serg should be spending his time selling his merchandise, Serg tells her that he has sold everything and invites her to the Pecera. Meanwhile, Irma helps Erick sell some items by singing and attracting customers. After they are done, Irma invites Erick to the Pecera also.

Yameli is leaving Surround Vibes when Sara approaches her and warns her to stop harassing Charly and saying lies about him. Yameli stands firm and tells Sara to go back to school.

El Buho is at his station giving an update on the contest they are holding. Meanwhile, Rosalia meets with a young man who reports the contest results to El Buho and bribes him to work the numbers in the contest so that Pez Koi comes out winning.

Detective Bowtie goes to see Yameli to discuss the case. Yameli worries that Charly and his attorney will do something to keep Charly from going to prison...and they have no hard evidence to arrest him. Bowtie then mentions Marlene’s case and how Marlene blackmailed Charly…and ended up dead. They have a witness but he won’t give them a statement. Bowtie then suggests that Yameli try to convince Abel to give his statement; and he gives her his contact info.

Ep 74: Part 2 Walls Closing In and Nowhere to Run

Yameli arrives at her apartment building and is accosted by Charly’s fans who warn her that they are going to continue harassing her. After they leave, Yameli calls Juanjo. She tells him that she worries about the president of the fan club who also accosted her in front of Surround Vibes. Juanjo offers to go see her, but Yameli avoids seeing him and tells him that she has things to do.

At Wendy’s house, Wendy and her mother are chatting. After they talk about the man who ran her over and the mother complains about how easy Irma’s father got off, the mother asks how things are with Juanjo. Wendy comments that Juanjo is very attentive, but she knows it’s only because of the baby. The meddlesome mother suggests that Wendy try to win back Juanjo’s love.

Vanessa and Serg are at the Pecera when Erick and Irma arrive. Irma admits to Erick that she and Serg planned everything so that Erick and Vanessa could meet and talk. Once alone, Vanessa understands why Erick believes his mother, but she shows him a video of Yameli talking badly about Charly. When Erick explains that Charly hurt Yameli very much, Vanessa asks if he has proof. Erick has no evidence but he believes his mother. “She is ruining my father’s life,” Vanessa points out. Erick returns that he understands Vanessa because Charly is her father. When Vanessa retorts that Charly is also his father, Erick asks her not to mix the two things. He reiterates that Charly ruined his mother’s life, but Vanessa once again asks for evidence…she wants Erick to give Charly the benefit of the doubt. Erick asks her to help him believe in Charly. When he asks her why she believes Charly, Vanessa replies that she just does…he’s her father and she loves him…he’s the only one she has left. When she adds that Charly is going through a hard time…and Yameli just wants to ruin Charly. Erick counters that Yameli just wants justice, but Vanessa points out that justice Is not the same as vengeance…and she leaves.

Jose, Irma’s father, is with Lidia and thanks her for all her advice (aaaww, a possible couple?). She and Irma have helped him see things differently and to believe in himself…something that is not easy. Jose then remembers that he has an appointment with Irma and asks Lidia to light a candle for him. Lidia doesn’t think he needs it, but will gladly do it.

Yameli meets with Abel at a restaurant. When she tells him that she was Diana’s friend and that she knows what happened between Charly and Diana, Abel tells her that he already gave the cops the recording…and he doesn’t want to get involved anymore since he doesn’t want to end up like Marlene. Yameli knows that he must have a copy and wants it; if he gives it to her, she swears she will seek justice for Marlene.

Juanjo and El Buho also meet for lunch. El Buho has good news—Pez Koi is ahead by a long shot in the contest…the numbers were sent to him by El Zorro (who was easily bribed). Juanjo hopes that Pez and Cris come in first and second…that would be ideal for Surround. When El Buho notes that Juanjo looks happy, Juanjo shares that he is going to declare himself to Yameli…he knows that she is the woman for him.. and the worst thing that could happen is that she will say ‘no.’

Zaria calls Yameli who tells her that she needs her help. Yameli has sent Zaria the last recording Diana made…and it reveals how Charly tricked her. She asks Zaria to upload it so that it can go viral and people can know what kind of stunts Charly pulls…and what he was capable of doing to his wife.

Ep 74: Part 3 Walls Closing In and Nowhere to Run

Irma helps her father prepare for a his job interview.. She is very happy to see him how he used to be.

Juanjo goes to see Yameli…he was dying to see her. They watch a video stream of Erick who is having dinner with one of his fans who won a contest since she helped him the most to get ‘likes.’ After they talk about his favorite song which happens to be one that he wrote with his mother, Sofia asks how he feels about finding out that the person he thought was his brother was actually his father. Erick shares that finding out was not hard on him, what was the hardest was that he never got along with Charly…not as a brother or as a father…and he doesn’t like that Charly doesn’t get along with is mother. Sofia then adds that her favorite songs are all the ones that his mother wrote. Back with Yameli, it pains Yameli that the situation with Charly will hurt Erick. When Juanjo suggests that Yameli can make the situation change, Yameli insists that Charly has to pay….she can’t change the hatred that she feels for Charly…he has to pay. Yameli also feels bad that she is not able to believe in Juanjo as he believes in her. After she mentions that she never responded to his letters, Juanjo feels that they shouldn’t live in the past; they must live in the present. Yameli remains quiet, so Juanjo wonders if it has to do with Jack, but Yameli asks him what he has going with Rosalia. After Juanjo assures her that he has nothing with Rosalia, Yameli admits that she is having doubts because of Jack, because of what Wendy said, because of life and the injustices. Juanjo quickly asks what Wendy told her; so Yameli shares that Wendy has a high-risk pregnancy. Juano knows that it isn’t true. Wendy is just making it up so that he won’t leave her…it’s all a lie. What is true, is that Juanjo loves Yameli. Yameli darts at Juanjo and kisses him. As they fall back on the couch kissing (looking very awkward and uncomfortable), Jack calls. Juanjo wonders what Yameli is going to tell Jack. Yameli must do things right; Jack has been a good friend and has been very supportive…she is going to tell Jack the truth about how she feels about Juanjo. After they tell each other that they will be together, they kiss again…and continue…

Juanjo arrives home as Wendy is watching the video of their wedding; he wonders why Wendy is watching the video; she is only hurting herself more. After he asks Wendy why she told Yameli that she has a high-risk pregnancy, Wendy tells him that it is true…and she just wants to have the family that he promised her. Juanjo clarifies that he told her he would be there for her and the baby…nothing more. He thinks that he was wrong to come back home since it is only hurting Wendy more. Wendy cries as she tells him to get out and leave her in peace.

On the TV news, the reporter talks about the audio that is being heard on social media where Charly admits that the laundering of money was his idea. Meanwhile, reporters are talking to Carolina who assures them that the audio is fake; just as Charly has fans who support him, he has enemies who will do anything to get him in trouble (sweetie, Charly needs no help in that department!). After she mentions that Yameli and Zaria were the ones who falsified the audio, she goes inside to see Charly and tells him that the reporters are waiting to interview him…she doesn’t understand how the audio got out. The real reason she is there, however, is to inform Charly that he has been asked to go in and give a statement regarding Diana’s murder. With eyes bugged out and darting from side to side, Charly wonders what they want; he has already told them all he knows. Caro tells him that he has no choice; he has to go in to give his statement…and he has been ordered not to leave the country.

Ep 74: Part 4 Walls Closing In and Nowhere to Run

Out in a park, Zaria reports on her interviews with various people who are aghast and suspicious of what Charly has done. Meanwhile, Yameli and Detective Bowtie watch the videostream. Bowtie comments that the number of Charly’s fans is decreasing and it’s all because of Yameli. After Yameli thanks him for all he has done, she asks about the analysis being conducted on the recording. Bowtie remarks that it will take time. When he sees that Yameli is downcast, he hopes that Yameli is not throwing in the towel when they are so close to bringing down Charly. Yameli thinks of all the time, effort, her heart and life that she has spent trying to figure out how to take revenge on Charly because all he did to her. She wonders if she could feel differently and forgive Charly because, after all, the only one she has hurt is herself. Yameli then apologizes for sharing all her feelings…but it’s sometimes easier to talk to a stranger; so Bowtie tells her that it’s time that she stop bearing the burden of Charly Cruz…from now on, he will be the one to bring Charly down.

Mistake above: OLEG tells Elsa he is going to talks to an lawyer who is an expert in these matters.

Later, Diego is in the bathroom smiling and looking at himself in the mirror.Je thinks back when Temo decided to give their relationship a chance. Reality hits when Temo comes pounding in the door saying he needs it get in the bathroom. Temo has to wait. Ari has news for Temo. Comments on the internet shows that Ari’s fans want a video about the two of them. No arguments from Temo this time.He will do the video with Ari. Diego comes out of the bathroom with his hair dyed blonde and is quite pleased with his new look.

At the café, Nora starts to talk to Soldad about “B”. Professor Collins appears. Nora leaves to use the restroom. Professor Collins chats with Soldad. She tells him again that she is married and cannot be involved with him. Dora has come spying and is SHOCKED to see Soldad ALONE with a man other than her husband. Nora comes back and corroborates Soledad’s story that Collins is one of Diego’s professors and she was meeting with him about Diego’s work. He excuses himself. Dora does not look convinced. Nora leaves with Soledad and not Dora.

It turns out that by dying his hair Diego is hoping to make himself more interesting to other guys and to finally move on because he has never really gotten over Temo. Temo tells Diego that he is his brother and that what he is feeling is the nostalgia of a first love. He is sure he is going to find a stronger love and he will help Diego find it. Diego knows Temo will never be with him because Ari is his soulmate. Diego is ready to put that stage of his life behind him and be happy. Will Temo help him close out that cycle of his life? Temo smiles and nods.

Mateo monitors the transmissions from the but at the boys’ apartment. He advises Ubaldo that Ari and Carlota seem ready to talk about some important things. Carlota tells Ari all about he video as Ubaldo listens. Ari says the recording isn’t enough to prove anything. She knows that. That is why she has to keep seeing Ubaldo to find some kind of proof. She cannot wait until this nightmare is over. It disgusts her so much being with Ubaldo. As Ubaldo listens he looks like he is ready to explode.

JUNTOS Part 4

A seething Ubaldo tells Mateo to leave as he continues to listen.Ari tells Carlota that they do not know exactly what happened to Andrés but she needs to keep the zip drive safe because it could be evidence. It is getting more dangerous all the time. Ari thinks that Temo deserves to know everything that is going on. Ubaldo is loosing control.

Soledad works with her clay as Nora works with some, too. Soledad wonders why such a pretty woman like Nora was all alone, Nora tells her about “B” who was her forbidden love when she was young. Soledad assumes “B” is a man. Nora never uses gender specific terms when talking about “B”. Soledad asks why they are not together. Nora says because they made her accept that “dreams are only dreams.”

Ubaldo looks at a video of Diego and friends posted to the internet. He sees Diego with his blonde hair and a blacked face. He decides to pay Diego a visit. Diego gets a text and goes down to see Ubaldo why he is putting himself on such display. Diego says it was just pijama party. Ubaldo wants to know about the hair. It is part of Diego’s new look. They say gentlemen prefer blondes. Ubaldo say that Diego is different, strange , special, and, as his father, he doesn’t want him to suffer because of it. He wants a photo with Diego. He loves and accepts his son. He tells Diego he is a father who will defend his son no matter what. He kisses Diego on the head and leaves. Oleg follows Ubaldo in his car.

Later, Dora arrives at the apartment building and is surprised by Diego in his painted on mask. She is the the intruder who just happens to be Lupo, Dora is very curious about Prof Collins’ wife’s relationship with other women than their mother, so she proceeds to give Diego the third degree. She has a bad feeling about Collins and his mother. What a pot if it had todo with infidelity . Diego looks upset.

Ari tries to warn Temo about Ubaldo but he is not taking the bait.The Ortegas are too much like family for him.

As Oleg sits outside of Ubaldo's apartment, he wonders what Ubaldo is hiding.

Ubaldo talks it to the fixer guy. He had put him in charge of Andrés and now Carlota has a video of him. If it weren’t for Ubaldo with his own microphone, he never would have found out. The fixer guy reminds him that he put him in charge of this. He is a professional. He does the dirty stuff so Ubaldo can keep clean. For the first phase, Carlota is going to disappear and her family will be destroyed. Ubaldo also wants him to get rid of Ari. The fixer guy nods.

Ari and Carlota try to talk to Temo again as the big picks up three conversation. She needs to do this to avenge her brother’s death. Temo doesn’t get the revenge thing if Andrés committed suicide. Ari finally lays it all out. Carlota thinks that Ubaldo killed her brother. Temo asks if they have proof and why didn’t they tell him before. Ari says they needed more info and then his mother died. Carlota found the video on a zip drive hidden in Andrés’ keyboard. Ari also knew that Ubaldo and his family have always been so important for Temo. Temo says they sure have been ever since he was a little kid.

Ubaldo tells tells the fixer guy that a “suicide” is not an option this time but he does want Ari and Carlota both done together at the same time so he has to think of something else. The fixer guy asks if he isn’t going to have any pity on Elsa. Ubaldo says know. She and Oleg have reconciled so they can comfort each other.

Dora keeps on planting ideas in Diego’s head about how there was something obviously wrong going on between his mother and professor says they are friends. Dora doesn’t believe it. Diego insists his mother is incapable of cheating on his father. Dora thinks she should be taking care of her marriage better.

JUNTOS Part 5

Elsa comes into Ubaldo’s office informing him that her lawyer is working already in clearing her name, Ubaldo hopes that comes to pass but in the meantime, he cannot risk being associated with her so she is fired. The university also removes her from her teaching duties until her name is cleared.

Nora receives another note from “B” this time setting up a date to meet again at the place they fell in love.

Little Arqui, Eduardo, and Ari have breakfast. Little Arqui insists there are four of them at the table. He has a new invisible friend.

Oleg and Dora talk about their past. Oleg’s mom left and Dora’s son was given up. She says she thought he might have been her ost son. He would love to have had a mother like her. They decide to have a mother/son relationship of their own to meet each others’ needs and heal their hearts.

Eduardo will take both little Arqui and his “friend” Polilla to school. Ari asks his mom for help.

Diego runs into professor Collins and asks him what he feels for his mother.

Ubaldo wants Carlota to meet him at the apartment because he has a really special night planned. She will be there but first she wants to know why he fired her mother.

Oleg stops at the hideaway apartment and talks to security at the front desk. He has a gift for Ubaldo’s birthday. Is there someone at the apartment who could receive it? The guard says no. He only comes a night here and there and the girl who comes with him isn’t there either.

FIN

JUNTOS

Wow! Was I wrong! This was a slice and dice of original episodes 14 and 15. I could not believe how much they crammed into one hour.

I loved the little Arqui parts with his nippy little teeth and now the imaginary friend. I still remember my imaginary friend when I was just about his age.

More mañana.

REINA-SOY

An incredible, beautifully written recap heralded your return Rgv Chick! So happy you are back. You've given us so much food for thought...

Excellent title.

I feel that at this point, Charly's crimes are no longer the focal point. What your clever and perfectly constructed summary points out is that that Charly's victims and their shattered lives are now taking center stage. We know he will be caught. But, what will happen to those left in the devastating wake of his callousness?

Yameli will have no peace until she determines her true feelings for Charly. There are a gamut of emotions swirling in her mind and heart - anger, pain and humiliation are but a few. There are others - betrayal and a thirst for justice. She must purge everything that smacks of revenge and must be solidly on the road to justice.

Consequences were outlined with crystal clarity.

"Yameli insists that Charly has to pay….she can’t change the hatred that she feels for Charly…he has to pay". Point reaffirmed. Yet, perhaps there is a slight change of heart "Yameli thinks of all the time, effort, her heart and life that she has spent trying to figure out how to take revenge on Charly because all he did to her. She wonders if she could feel differently and forgive Charly because, after all, the only one she has hurt is herself". A monumental task. Is Yameli able to do it?

And from Van's perspective: "When she adds that Charly is going through a hard time…and Yameli just wants to ruin Charly. Erick counters that Yameli just wants justice, but Vanessa points out that justice Is not the same as vengeance…and she leaves". She still believes in Charly, her father, despite everything.

"Bowtie then suggests that Yameli try to convince Abel to give his statement; and he gives her his contact info". Yes of course because all detectives have ex-suspects do their work for them...

"Jose, Irma’s father, is with Lidia and thanks her for all her advice (aaaww, a possible couple?)" I thought so too Rgv Chick.

"Juanjo shares that he is going to declare himself to Yameli…he knows that she is the woman for him". And what better time than while your wife, pregnant with your child is falling apart. "Wendy cries as she tells him to get out and leave her in peace". Yes, what perfect timing Juanjo.

"Yameli admits that she is having doubts because of Jack, because of what Wendy said, because of life and the injustices" had me sitting up straight. Is there hope for Jack?? And then "Yameli must do things right; Jack has been a good friend and has been very supportive…she is going to tell Jack the truth about how she feels about Juanjo". Hope crashes and burns.

We are all rooting for Charly to be caught. But, I cannot and do not support Yameli and Juanjo. The collateral damage is just too great. You can't build happiness on the suffering of others.

Rgv Chick, another superb outing. Thank you, thank you!

Diana

Good morning Rgv Chick. Good to have you back in the saddle again.

Like Diana, I loved the title, and also like Diana I picked a lot of the same quotes as favorites and her second to last paragraph would have been my words completely..."you can't build happiness on the suffering of others."

But here were my other faves:

such a good (for nothing?) person

José and Lidia (aaaww, a possible couple?) exactly what I was thinking

fall back on couch kissing (looking very awkward and uncomfortable)

Oh yes, Juanjo looked not only uncomfortable but ridiculous with his feet hanging in the air. And I kept being distracted by his horrible hairdo as the top part was disconnected from the rest and more or less flapping in the breeze. Got my hopes up briefly for Jack there. But no, for some reason Yameli seems hooked on this bland but not grand dude. Hey, she made a bad choice once. Looks like she's going to make another.

Just one other thought. The gal playing Irma really has a set of pipes. Hearing her sing a capella while hawking Serg's wares was really something. Quite a voice.

Thanks so much Rgv Chick. I know you've been through a really rough patch but we're glad you're back.

"REINA":

RGV Chick: Thank you for the recap. You're right about Yameli not having true peace until her demons are vanquished.

I'm scared for her safety regarding the gullible assholes such as Carolina & Sara & Co.,

I ask: How can these gullible assholes still think Charly is God ?

Judy: Law enforcement agencies better bring down Charly fast.

PS: Will the Gran Final be 2 HRS ? Because I plan on TiVo'ing it.

REINA-SOY

"Oh yes, Juanjo looked not only uncomfortable but ridiculous with his feet hanging in the air. And I kept being distracted by his horrible hairdo as the top part was disconnected from the rest and more or less flapping in the breeze" had me laughing out loud Judy.

There have been rare (if any) tender love scenes. Yameli and Charly were rather mechanical and frantic in their coupling. Last night, Juanjo and Yameli were just awkward. I really do hate to say it but the one really romantic scene I can recall was when Wendy had a romantic night planned with Juanjo (in which he willingly participated).

There is no impassioned, I will die without you love here. What we are seeing was built from past longings (Juanjo) and trying to rewrite history (Yameli).

You can't go home again.

Diana

REINA

Sure looks that way, Diana. But who knows what the writers are planning? They've fooled us before. Maybe Juanjo will be the "inconvenient spouse" and get knocked off. Not that I wish that for him. Just want him to honor the promise he made in church. Those vows are sacred. Although I realize both modern society and telenovelas are drifting away from that concept.

And I do agree that those vows don't count if any one of the three A's occur:
Abuse Alcoholism Adultery but otherwise....but hey, I'm "old school"

reina-soy

Thank you, Rgv Chick. Welcome back.

"Walls Closing In and Nowhere to Run"- feels like Charly is hanging by a thread.

Charly is really in trouble if the lead detective on his case is buddy of Yamelí. Curious that when Ricardo and Yamelí talked she addressed him "de tú" and he addressed her "de usted."

Vanesa keeps defending her father. Pretty soon she will run out of arguments. It is going to hit her hard.

(((Chickie))) thank you for that wonderful recap.This show seems to have gone into a slow roll to the end.

My fav line has to be " Good ( for nothing ) Charly. " that gave me a giggle. Those fans...to quote my favorite singer Michael MacDonald " what a fool believes, he sees. " despierta, fans, Charly is a dog.

I agree that the sudden sofa sexytime was weird and anything but passionate and romantic. It looked uncomfy and odd with Juanjohum stretched out precariously on Yam. The best part was Yam using her high-heeled foot to close the laptop. I

Now we know why Irma's dad h hit Wendy...he is Lidia's "reward" (?)for her life with Monchis. He really made a quick recovery from life in a bottle, didn't he?

REINA

Judyb....From Outlander , I learned that Catholics consider marriage a sacrament. I am Protestant , but I also believe that. A happy marriage is a blessing. Telenovelas always had a happily married older couple as inspiration for young folks struggling with Love . We don't see that much anymore except in MMTF. The world is changing, and I guess these shows are reflecting that change. I still believe in true love and a strong marriage. I had it.

REINA-SOY

Judy, I wholeheartedly agree with the 3 A's - no one should have to suffer and stay in any marriage where the spouse is cruel (mentally or physically) or who suffers the wrath of the partner's addiction.

But in cases where one spouse decides to mosey on over to what appears to be greener pastures when the spouse is pregnant and/or there are children at home counting on them, nopis. No one forced Juanjo to walk down the aisle.

Susanlynn, "He really made a quick recovery from life in a bottle, didn't he?". Pretty amazing, huh? Bears no resemblance at all to real life...

"Charly is really in trouble if the lead detective on his case is buddy of Yameli". Yes, so true Lucio!

Diana

REINA-SOY Good Morning, Patio! Thank you for the warm welcome back; it's good to be riding the saddle again, but it is especially nice to be back among such great friends. I would check the patios frequently so I was never completely gone, but actually participating and discussing these sordid events is so much more gratifying. My most sincere appreciation to the Dream Recapping Team, Diana and Judy, who took up the torch and embraced the challenge of recapping every night with such grace and eloquence. Thank you, Amigas, it was greatly appreciated. Diana,, your prologues are so inspired and thought-provoking. One of the things I dread about this show ending is that we won't be graced by your insight and wisdom (sigh).

As I read the comments last week about the slicing and dicing, my only question was WHYYYY??? There is no other TN scheduled to replace Reina as of yet so why the rush? Lucio, you mentioned the choppy scenes and actors appearing out of nowhere; that was so obvious especially on Wednesday day night. Certainly this TN is one of the better ones; there is no rhyme or reason to what Looneyvision does!

So back to last night's episode...

Diana, "Charly's victims and their shattered lives are now taking center stage. We know he will be caught. But, what will happen to those left in the devastating wake of his callousness?" Very well noted and good question? I agree with Lucio, it will hit Vanessa hard. She Charly is the only one she has right now; when she finds out the truth (and I'm sure she will find Diana's phone in the safe, she will be devastated. Her only hope is her grandmother and Erick. Her resentment toward Yameli may take a while to let go of, but I think she will eventually seek her out too.

JudyB, "Yameli seems hooked on this bland but not grand dude. Hey, she made a bad choice once. Looks like she's going to make another." I think we all agree that JuanjoHum (thank you, Susanlynn) and Yameli are JUST. NOT. RIGHT. Juanjo still loving Yameli after all these years is believable, but I just can't see how Yameli has fallen in love with someone she never even thought of as anything but a friend...and who is so "HoHumDumb." When they were on the couch, I half expected Jaunjohum to slide off or topple over the table. Bad fauxpas on the director's part, but it did make me giggle.

Susanlynn, "Now we know why Irma's dad hit Wendy...he is Lidia's "reward" (?)for her life with Monchis. He really made a quick recovery from life in a bottle, didn't he?" Yup he sure did! But almost killing someone had something to do with it I'm sure. It is hard to gauge the passage of time in this TN. Jose made it sound like Lidia had give him quite a bit of advice that, I would think, would have taken several days, maybe weeks, to make an impact. He sure did clean up nicely though; Lidia would have liked it :-)

I am wondering how Rosalia, the devious fox, got a hold of El Zorro (the fox) so quickly. And what is her angle? is she doing this just to make Juanjohum happy?

Steve, the show is only scheduled for one hour on Friday, so that will be the Gran Final.

JUNTOS

Jarifa, terrific job.

Are we supposed to like Dora? I don't. She's a selfish busybody. Yes, she's sweet to Arqui. But how dare she talk to Diego about what his mother Soledad does or doesn't do with her marriage or who Soledad shares a meal with. How dare she try to shut down Nora's dream about a past love when she keeps her own dream about reconnecting with her son. Basta!

Audifaz's being content with giving Arqui up for adoption just doesn't ring true. I'm glad he's doing it, but an active dad like he used to be with Ari would not be so chummy with this decision.

Trying to figure out all Ubaldo's crimes:

- Ordered hit on Andres
- Working with dirty businessmen who are, I think, polluting the water
- Set up Elsa for a fraud charge
- Set up Oleg for a fraud charge
- Having extramarital affair with near-underage Carlota

Diego seems the most vulnerable here with his newly blond hair and tightened pores from that carbon face mask. He'll be shattered to find out his dad is nothing but a sham.

REINA-SOY

Sometimes I see the end of an episode and I believe I would've enjoyed this one if it didn't air too early in the evening for my schedule. I did catch that awkward makeout session last night. Now, I like Mané de la Parra (Juanjo) -- that gap in his front teeth is so cute! -- but that scene did him no favors.

Rgv Chick, nice to see you back. I love animals and my condolences go out to you. Thanks for all you've done to keep us all getting our daily Caray.

OT

Niecie, thank you so much for your kind words. Everyone here at Caray has been so supportive and thoughtful. It is my pleasure to assist in keeping Caray going, but it wasn't just me...it is the entire virtual village of kind and dedicated people who make Caray what it is today and always.

JUNTOS

Niecie, thank you for clarifying the carbon face mask. I saw it and honestly didn't know what to make of it. I knew I missed something but didn't have time to find out what I had missed. I was hoping for the best! LOL

Chickie, so glad to hAve you back. You were missed.

Does anyone remember the "planking" craze from a few years ago? That's what that love (?)scene between johum and Yam reminded me of . It looked like johum was planking.

That phone call Rosalia made to some guy..what is that about? I don't understand why the writers are bringing in these new characters so close to the end I thought that this show moved along so fast compared to other shows that I have watched, but now we seem to be c r a w l i n g to the end.

"REINA":

Lucio: I want Bratty Vanessa to get her BIGLY anvil soon. It's going to be epic when the truth about Charly is exposed for all to see.

JUNTOS

I fell behind and so binge-watched all of last week over the weekend, and then binge-read all the recaps and comments.

Jarifa, you are a goddess, no doubt about it. Love your writing, and love that you are doing all this recapping. Just amazing!

I’m watching this for the cast more than for the storyline which isn’t very compelling. That may be because the show has been chopped up so badly. If I understand correctly, telenovelas are falling in popularity and I wonder if it isn’t because we start in at the beginning hoping for prime rib and they serve us up hamburger. It’s hard to get deeply into the characters and story line if we’re getting just half of both.

One big disappointment for me is Sergio Sendel’s part. He gave an absolutely brilliant comedy performance as Vicente, Pancho Lopez’s arch nemesis in Una Familia con Suerte. When I saw that the Pancho Lopez character was being continued, and that Sendel had a role, I hoped to see more of Vicente.

But no, he’s a totally different character in this, and Pancho doesn’t seem to recognize him – ha! But the main thing is that he seems kinda dead-eyed in this part. Yes, it’s a more serious character, but I wonderful actor like Sendel should be able to bring him more to life.

I haven’t read today’s recap yet, because I haven’t seen the episode. I will, though, and many many thanks to you, Jarifa, and to the wonderful commenters.

JUNTOS. Another great recap, Jarifa! Seriously? Ubaldo thinks he can arrange to do in both Carlota and Ari? And of course then he would have to find a way to get rid of Temo, his son's best friend and son of Ubaldo's friend, because Temo now knows Ubaldo was responsible for Andres's death. And of course Elsa now has a lawyer, so Ubaldo's trumped-up fraud charges against her probably won't stick, and Oleg is doggedly pursuing all his wrongdoing. Something tells me Ubaldo isn't going to get away with any of this. :)

Niecie, Reina was one of the best telenovelas that I have seen in a long time.

Maggie..yes, Marita is ,indeed, a goddess , a very goodhearted one for providing these recaps of this sliced and diced novela.

Sergio is chewing up The scenery in this one. I am surprised that he hasn't thrown a cellphone yet. THAt is his trademark move!

JUNTOS. SusanLynn Well-observed! And Ubaldo is acting progressively more psychopathic as well as sociopathic.

JUNTOS

Maggie, good to see you on the patio! Thanks for your kind and insightful comments. So true about the slice and dice not being a very “tasty” version. Frankly, I don’t get it. This was a hit in Mexico and they sliced and diced here from episode one. In that case they couldn’t use bad ratings here as an excuse to hurry the story along. It makes no sense to me. Anyway, I really need to see “Una familia con suerte” someday. That is too funny about Sendel playing a villain in both this and “Pancho” not “recognizing” him.

SpanProf, yes, Ubaldo is taking on a bit much. ; ) I wonder if he will end up dead or jailed . . . Sociopathic, psychopathic . . . Are their any other “pathics” that can apply? Hmmmmm . . .

Susanlynn, I sure hope a cellphone gets launched soon!

I cannot wait until tonight!

JUNTOS. Jarifa: If Ubaldo ends up dead it would free Soledad to marry Collins tn the Church. Just sayin'. :)

JUNTOS

Niecie, I so agree about Dora with a big ¡basta ya! Yes, a terrible thing happened to her but that does not give her the right to make everyone else miserable. I also get aggravated with Nora who allows herself to be victimized by her older sister. ????? Why? Then there is Soledad who allows Dora to bully her. Really? In the 21st century? My patience wears thin with these characters, too.

JUNTOS

SpanProf, then we would get our wedding and a big church one!

Marita????...was supposed to be Jarifa. Thank you, autocorrect .

Looking forward to see what happens tonight .

Susanlynn, I have the same trials and tribulations with autocorrect but sometimes things are worse without it. Go figure!

"JUNTOS":

Jarifa: I see the Body Count is increasing in this one.

JUNTOS

Jarifa, I'm very late and apologize.

Your writing is as always excellent.

I saw a bit of this but missed most. This is getting very dark, now Carlota and Ari are targets?

Thank you! Diana

JUNTOS

Diana, it is always a pleasure to see you on the patio whenever you can stop by.

Ep 75: Part 1 Ask and It Shall Be Given You; Seek and Ye Shall Find

Kids skateboard and do other fun activities at the park as Axel tapes his new song at Surround Vibes. Juanjo thinks Axel’s song is very good; so Axel assures Juanjo that he wants nothing to do with Charly anymore. If Juanjo signs him on, they won’t regret it. Juanjo has a proposal for Axel; he likes Axel’s songs because they are honest and talk about the struggles and reality of life. Later, Axe’s girlfriend accompanies him as he signs his contract with Juanjo. After Axel thanks Juanjo, the girlfriend thinks that the best thing is that Axel has gotten away from Charly.

At the police station, Detective Bowtie interrogates Charly who is relentless in his lies and denial that he had anything to do with Diana’s death…he loved his wife and wanted to reconcile with her. After Carolina threatens to file a complaint against Bowtie for abuse of authority, Bowtie suggests that they discontinue the interrogation and informs them that Charly cannot leave the city much less the country. After Bowtie leaves, Charly is frustrated as he wonders how much longer they will be there. Carolina assures him that he did well in maintaining his statement.

Serg is a Luxor with his merchandise set up for a promo shoot. Time is spent (wasted) as Vanessa models his merchandise. Serg then gets a notification on his phone and dismisses the photographer. Once alone, he has Vanessa listen to Diana’s recording. Meanwhile, Erick plays the recording for Lidia who thinks that someone is playing a dirty trick. Erick is disappointed and frustrated that Lidia thinks it’s a montage; so he goes to his room…he doesn’t want to argue with her like he did with Vanessa.

Vanessa enters Charly’s office and demands an explanation regarding the recording. Charly once again insists that it is a montage; and he blames Yameli. Vanessa doesn’t know what to believe anymore and she is confused. Charly points out that if the recording were real, he wouldn’t be walking around free; he’d be in prison. He asks her not to listen to anything she hears on the outside…he would never do anything to hurt her or make her feel bad. As Charly hugs Vanessa, he actually looks worried.

At Surround Vibes, Juanjo shares with Yameli that things went so-so with Wendy. As he starts to talk about how they did everything wrong from the getgo, Jack walks in and hugs Yameli; he has missed her since he has been gone for two days. Jack wants to go out to dinner, but Yameli suggests that he go home and unpack…and then they can talk. Poor unsuspecting Jack, who has no idea what’s coming, agrees.

Charly is a guest on Mike’s show. His fans are cheering him on as he sits down, but Mike gets to the point quickly; he asks about the recording. Charly assures everyone that the recording is fake…it’s a montage. If it were real, it would have been revealed some other way…not through this pseudoreporter’s channel. After he adds that Zaria is obsessed with him, Mike asks about Yameli. Charly remarks that Yameli is just another woman who is obsessed with him and can’t close that chapter. He suggests that both Zaria and Yameli should turn that page and get on with their lives. Charly then announces that if something happens to him, the person responsible will be Yameli. Meanwhile, Yameli listens to the program in disbelief as Charly adds that Yameli has threatened him and told him that she is going to finish him off.

Jose is at his interview, but is told that they are looking for someone with a Master’s. Jose thinks that they are looking for someone who is inexperienced. He assures Eduardo that he can adapt quickly and works well on a team, but Eduardo thanks him and dismisses him. Afterwards, Jose goes to a bar and asks for a beer…and tears up his resumé (so much for the change).

Ep 75: Part 2 Ask and It Shall Be Given You; Seek and Ye Shall Find

Vanessa goes to confront Yameli; she doesn’t know why Yameli is doing everything to ruin her father…and herself along the way. Yameli responds that there are many things that Vanessa needs to know about her father, but Vanessa just wants Yameli to leave them alone. When Vanessa asks if Yameli returned to destroy her father’s life, Yameli admits that she did, but then she met her (Vanessa) and her mother and she learned to love them. Life is unfair, but Vanessa needs to know the truth…the recording is real. Diana made the recording to protect herself against Charly who wanted to send her off to prison…Yameli knows because she was helping Diana. Yameli then mentions that Diana’s phone appeared with someone who knew Toño and she tried to use it to blackmail Charly and get some money…but that person was found dead. Vanessa doesn’t think her father is capable of murder; so Yameli points out that Charly tried to have her killed twice. When Vanessa asks if she has proof, Yameli admits that she does not. Vanesa thinks everything is just a product of Yameli’s imagination….she doesn’t want to listen to Yameli anymore and leaves.

Irma arrives at Lidia’s house crying; she had problems with her dad again. Her dad has been detained because he got drunk again along with some man at a bar. Irma feels so ashamed, but Lidia thinks that Jose is the one who should be ashamed. When Irma adds that she wishes she could have her father back and that she doesn’t know how; Lidia advises that she let her father handle his problem…he will have to hit rock bottom before he gets better. Irma shouldn’t spend her life trying to help her father.

Vanessa is in her bedroom listening to the recording. Charly enters; so she quickly closes her laptop. After Charly asks how she is, he tells her he is going to bed. After he leaves, Vanesa recalls a series of conversations with her father, Yameli, Serg and Erick…all making her doubt her father’s innocence.

Next Morning—

Charly notes that Vanessa looks tired; he knows that she didn’t rest well. Vanessa admits that she went to talk to Yameli…because she wants Yameli to leave him alone and to stop bothering them. She went to tell Yameli that, but Yameli told her some odd things. When she adds that Yameli told her that Charly had tried to kill her twice, Charly comments that Yameli just wants to brainwash everyone. Vanessa then mentions the woman who turned up dead. Charly freezes up and Vanessa wonders if he is even listening to her. After Vanessa repeats what Yameli told her, Charly scoffs and wonders if Vanessa thinks he could do something like that. Yameli is just trying to destroy him…she shouldn’t be putting ideas into her head. He asks Vanessa not to see Yameli again; so she swears she won’t see her ever again.

Yameli watches Zaria’s video stream where Zaria mentions that Diana’s case has been reopened and suggests that the public demand justice, especially since they have heard the recording and know that Charly is somehow involved.

Charly goes to his safe, but he gets a call from Carolina who needs to see him right away, As he talks to her and puts the pistol in the safe, Vanessa secretly watches from the door. Once Charly sees her, she pretends not to have seen anything and they chat about Vanessa’s plans for the day. She will be going to see Serg to talk about some things regarding his business. Charly can tell that Vanessa is still worried about what Yameli said; he asks her not to respond to any of Yamelis calls and promises that everything will end soon (yes, by Friday fer sure!). After Charly leaves, Vanessa goes into Charly’s bedroom and opens the safe. She carefully gets the gun with a cloth and then sees Diana’s phone and takes it too (good girl!)

Ep 75: Part 3 Ask and It Shall Be Given You; Seek and Ye Shall Find

Juanjohum shows El Buho his new studio. Afterwards, El Buho is nervous as he tells Juanjohum that he knows Juanjhum isn’t into underhanded deals, but El Buho was told that someone form Surround Vibes, Rosalia, paid to have the contest results fixed. Juanjohum has his deer in the head lights look; so El Buho adds that he double checked the numbers and Pez Koi would have won despite the added votes. Juanjohum feels that he must talk to Rosalia.

Yameli arrives at Surround Vibes as Charly approaches. She wonders where his minion fan is and ask what he wants. Charly tells her to stay away from his daughter. Yameli smugly tells him that she doesn’t go looking for Vanessa; Vanessa is the one who comes looking for her because Vanessa wants to know who the hell her father is. Charly then threatens that if Yameli gets near Vanessa, he will kill her. Yameli smirks and taunts Charly as she asks if he is afraid that Vanessa will find out the truth. Charly again threatens that if Yameli comes looking for him, she will surely find him, but Yameli continues to smirk…he is already there and she only feels pity for him. After she tells him not to ever threaten her again, Yameli walks toward Surround and Charly goes after her and tries to grab her, but Juanjo rushes out, pushes him away and punches him really hard (WOOO! Jaunjo finally in action!! No Johum now!). Charly starts to fight back, but some of Juanjo’s men separate them and force Charly to leave. After Juanjo asks Yameli if she is alright, Yameli states that she must find the evidence to put that idiot in prison…he killed Diana and Marlene. Afterwards, Yameli comments that Juanjo looked good fighting (I agree! Too bad it was only for a couple of seconds).

Juanjo has a meeting to announce the results of the contest…the winner is Irma….and Erick won too! Erick is elated that he and Irma will get to sing together and wants to go tell Irma since she hasn’t been told about the results. Afterwards, Juanjo and the others discuss the logistics of the concert. Rosalia volunteers to help find a place for the concert.

Wendy and her mother talk. Wendy comments that if Juanjo wants to be with Yameli, he will regret it…she wants Juanjo to feel guilty. When the mother points out that she is only hurting herself and the baby, Wendy pouts as she expresses that she doesn’t want to be alone. The mother assures her that she will not be alone, she will always be there to help her. Wendy doesn’t think she can live without Juanjo. When the mom assures her that she can, Wendy becomes upset because it was her mom who told her she had to do everything to keep Juanjo. The mom admits that Wendy is right and apologizes, but there is a limit to everything. She hates to say it, but she thinks it’s time Wendy forget about Juanjo…he doesn’t deserve her.

Ep 75: Part 4 Ask and It Shall Be Given You; Seek and Ye Shall Find

Juanjo confronts Rosalia about bribing El Zorro to fix the numbers. When Rosalia explains that she was just trying to help him, Juanjo retorts that she was only trying to help herself because she doesn’t like to lose. Rosalia warns him not to talk to her like that. When she adds that there are many who would want her experience, Juanjo suggests that she go elsewhere. Rosalia doesn’t think Juanjo knows how this business works…everyone does it...it’s not the best one who wins, it’s the one with the most resources. When Juanjo tells Rosalia that Surround is not the place for her, she counters that he and Yameli were made for each other; they think they are great artists with grand ideas, but no one knows them. Juanjo stresses that they consider passion to be more important that money…but Rosalia probably wouldn’t understand that. Rosalia storms out into the hallway and tells Jack that Juanjo just asked her to leave. When Jack finds out what Rosalia did, he reproaches her for continuing to do her dirty deeds. As they argue Yameli listens. Rosalia points out that if Jack doesn’t help her get back in with Juanjo, she won’t be able to help him get Yameli. Jack is aghast that would come to Mexico with that plan in mind; so he reiterates that he will not help her.

Sergio is with Vanessa at her apartment. He suggests showing his merchandise at La Pecera, but Vanessa is deep in thought as she stares at her purse where she has the gun and Diana’s phone. After Serg repeats his suggestion, Vanessa agrees to go with him and takes her purse.

JUNTOS Part 3

At Dora’s fixer guy posing as the electrician explains the electrical problems he has found to Dora and Nora, Dora gives him free reign to solve the electrical issues ASAP. Elsa, and Soledad are talking about her firing. Elsa tells them that Ubaldo knew perfectly well who Isarnio was. Ubaldo had her sign the papers to he wouldn’t dirty his own hands. Soledad and Dora both try to look for another answer that doesn’t incriminate Ubaldo. No, they don’t think she is corrupt, either. Nora thinks they can do something to get her teaching job back. She fieles like her life is coming apart like sand running through her fingers. Ubaldo appears saying he acted in an irresponsible way. Isarnio is now to be arrested and the charges against her stopped for the time b ring. Would she do him the honor of completing the campaign with him and his election /their election.? Nora, and Soledad move to the kitchen to make coffee. Elsa is going to the bathroom for a moment. Soledad has left her phone behind. She gets a text from Collins saying Diego now knows he is in love with her and he is sorry. Ubaldo sees it and it takes all his strength to maintain his self-control. Dora asks if he wants some cake they made using their mother’s recipe. Ubaldo has lost his appetite.

At home, Ubaldo has lost any self-control and slaps Soledad to the floor. He calls her stupid in a variety of ways and wants to know who this Collins is. She tries to explain he is one of Diego’s professors and she told him she felt nothing for him because Ubaldo was her husband. He tells her it is her fault he hit her. He never raised a finger to her before. (She made him do it!) He goes to hit her with one of her statues but thinks better of it and just throws it to the floor. He threatens to kill her and walks out.

Diego helps Nora get dressed and out of the house to meet her old love without the snoring Dora finding out. He tries to show her how to make her eyes sparkle.

Oleg is keeping watch outside of Ubaldo’s apartment when he sees Carlota go in.

Diego is back at his apartment and the fixer guy is wandering all over “fixing” the electrical problems. Diego is busy setting up a date for himself.

Ari and Temo enjoy a domestic moment. Ari apologizes for all of the secrets he kept from him. He never did it to make him feel bad. Temo knows. He has just been thinking how everything got so complicated since they moved to the city. Ari says he wants him to just listen to what he has to say and to think back to that bench in the park where it all started.

Nora’s love from the past meets her in the park but we never see the person’s face or hear their voice. The person seems to be wearing an oversized suit. Nora says she never thought she would see the person again.

The fixer ends up in Carlota’s and Diego’s bedroom steals the jump drive with the Andrés video. Diego comes into the bedroom with his date and kicks the fixer out.

JUNTOS Part 4

Ari tells Temo he knew their lives were going to change como,Etel y when they arrived in Mexico City but he was never afraid because he had the strongest warrior by his side.Temo smiles. Temo is his hope. Ari proposes to Temo.

Soledad goes to see Elsa to tell her what happened with Ubaldo. He hit her and says he is going to kill her.

At Ubaldo’s apartment, he is telling Carlota that he ordered her favorite sushi. The doorbell rings. She goes to stand away from the door as Ubaldo goes to answer it. It isn’t the delivery man, it is Oleg with the sushi bag. From the doorway, he can see his daughter. All Carlota can say is “papá?” He drops the bag. Oleg wants to know why she is there and what Ubakdo has made her do. Ubaldo informs him that he didn’t make her do anything. Oleg lunches him in the face and the fist fight is on.

Temo, of course, says yes. He will marry him but they are still young have to do a few things first like advance in their careers, grow professionally and get established. So, it cannot happen right now. Ari is still smiling.

The fight continues. Carlota finally gets her father to stop. Both of the men’s faces have been bloodied.

Elsa tries to talk Soledad into getting a divorce. She explains that men like Ubaldo want to terrorize women feel that they can dominate someone. Elsa says it is time to put a stop to men like Ubaldo controlling everything in their wives’ lives. Times have changed. Soledad doesn’t think she is strong enough to leave and make it on her own. Elsa tries to convince her she can. Soledad is not alone. Elsa asks if Ubaldo does not deserve to lose her.

Oleg is more determined now to see that Ubaldo loses the election. He dares Oleg to criticize his perfect little family and how he cheated on his wife. Ubaldo will happily air all of Oleg’s family’s dirty laundry about how his daughter, who is of age, had an affair with him, how she came on to him. Oleg says she never would. Ubaldo suggests he ask her. It was mutual. Ubaldo has weathered this kind of thing but how will Carlota fare when she is labeled as an ambitious social climber, home wrecker from an unstable home herself.? With a father who as an act of revenge wants to end his career with a stupid video and a mother who herself has one foot in jail for fraud? Oleg swears he will put an end to Ubaldo. He will make sure Ubaldo’s wife, son and sisters all know who he really is. Oleg says this was the last time he saw his daughter, but not him. Oleg leaves with Carlota.

JUNTOS Part 5

Ari and Temo start to think about an actual wedding. Temo wants a real big super party. Ari agrees it will celebrate their love even though his mom won’t be there. Temo tells him both of their mothers will be there with them. Ari says the important thing is that Temp said yes. They kiss,

Nora talks with her old love who we still don’t see or hear. She talks of the days that turned into weeks then into months and years and decades of not seeing each other. Her love never died.She always was waiting for her love to come back. Today she feels she was born again. Her love hugs her.

Temo explains to Ari how Ubaldo wants to create a foundation for single mothers and name it after Polita. Ari is not pleased and doesn’t want his mother’s name on anything related to Ubaldo. Eduardo comes in. Little Arqui comes out pleading for candy for Polilla who really needs it and also Aristemo to sing her a song so she can sleep.

Ubaldo talks to the fixer who says he has the video. Ubaldo also wants him to put put an end to Oleg.

Oleg talks to Carlota. He goes on and on until she tells him she was with Ubaldo for the sake of the family. She knows Ubaldo had something to do with Andres’ death.

What an exciting episode!

The original title of the episode was: “Sin retorno” “No Return” which is perfect with so many plots launched.

REINA-SOY

Another masterfully told story Rgv Chick. The ebb and flow of your words were powerful yet smooth as silk. Just a pleasure to read.

Loved “Juanjohum” and “Afterwards, Yameli comments that Juanjo looked good fighting (I agree! Too bad it was only for a couple of seconds). I completely agree.

Charly’s outsize ego refuses to even consider the fact he is under a relentless cloud of suspicion, one which he will not manage to evade. “Charly is frustrated as he wonders how much longer they will be there”. Unbelievable. Further “after he adds that Zaria is obsessed with him” and “Charly remarks that Yameli is just another woman who is obsessed with him”. He wields obsession like a sword, his answer and excuse for everything, Although he has a certain lure, any attraction felt quickly diminished after his vain, cruel actions revealed the true character of his outer façade.

And in a similar situation with a huge, guilt free ego “Juanjo shares with Yameli that things went so-so with Wendy. As he starts to talk about how they did everything wrong from the getgo”. THEY? Yes, Wendy’s mistake was marrying you but she loved you and as you went through with the marriage made the terrible mistake of believing you loved her too.

“…mom admits that Wendy is right and apologizes, but there is a limit to everything. She hates to say it, but she thinks it’s time Wendy forget about Juanjo…he doesn’t deserve her”. About time. Finally, some sage advice.

“Jack is aghast that would come to Mexico with that plan in mind; so he reiterates that he will not help her". So Jack did not ask Rosalia to help him get Yaemeli back, is that correct? So, I’m wrong again. Sigh. Of course, that doesn’t explain her attraction to lackluster Juanjo but whatevs…

And finally, “he asks her not to respond to any of Yamelis calls and promises that everything will end soon (yes, by Friday fer sure!)”. I can’t believe there are only 3 more episodes. Stil much to be revealed and much heartache for Vanessa.

Outstanding Rgv Chick, just outstanding. Gracias amiga!

Jarifa, this was just unbelievable. You were in your element.

Your simple "Ari and Temo enjoy a domestic moment" was just perfect.

"Temo, of course, says yes. He will marry him but they are still young have to do a few things first like advance in their careers, grow professionally and get established. So, it cannot happen right now. Ari is still smiling”. I’m smiling too. Ahh, the hopes and joys of youth!

“He tells her it is her fault he hit her. He never raised a finger to her before. (She made him do it!)” made me ill. Watching that scene was sickening and his accompanying rationale and threat even more so.

"Oleg and Elsa are talking on the phone...She tells him her life is better whenever he is in it and she will let him know anything new" was heartening and hopeful.

I’m not a proponent of violence but wish Oleg had beaten the stuffing out of Ubaldo. So, now he wants Oleg dead too? Quite a list.

“Nora says she and Soledad are so much alike living frustrated, keeping their sadness bottled up and obeying the rules that somebody else has set”. I was starting to think Nora was hallucinating her long lost love. Who on earth could it be?

I only saw part of this but you captured every element Jarifa. You are a wonderful writer.

Diana, thanks. You are so kind. The real writers deserve the credit. : )

Yes,

Ubaldo was just disgusting. It was the “you made me do it” rationale of abusers; quite the PSA.

I also wish that “Oleg had beaten the stuffing out of Ubaldo.” I hated that Oleg seemed to have gotten the worst of it.

Elsa is much less the witch with Oleg around.

To ”the hopes and joys of youth”! Ari and Temo always make me smile. What can I say?

Will we ever see Nora’s long lost love?

It was good to see Diego coming into his own apart from Temo.

"REINA":

RGV Chick: Thank you very much for the recap. Vanessa slowly figuring it out Yameli was right about Charly being up to no good.

Diana: Wendy needs to STFU.

Yay, Chickie, yay, Juanjo.

Chickie, every morning, I am anxious to read the recap which is always a bright spot in my day .

Wow, quite an episode.

So, Wendy and Mom are finally seeing the light. You cannot make somebody love you. Wendy got a bad deal from juanjo being weak and indecisive, but she is not blameless . She should not have gotten
pregnant without talking to Juanjo.

I am glad that Jack did not put Rosalie up to seducing Juanjo so that he could have a clear path to Yam. Poor Jack...in Yam's friend zone. You are very lucky to find someone who is as in love with you as you are with him\her. If not, the relationship is always uneven.

Charley is in a panic and about to lose the one person he truly seems to love...besides hinself. I think that this actor has done a superb job OF portraying this arrogant, conceited, a model character. Bravo. I will watch for him in other shows. And the lesson we learn from this mortality play is : Focus on people loving you, not obsessing over you.

And Juanjo...finally looking like a galan defending his love. Why wasn't the character portrayed this way from the start? Too little , too late ? As they say in my neck of the woods, yeah well.

Dragon looks good , but it is on at 10.00 pm. Does anyone know what follows Reina?

Thank you, Rgv Chick.

Perfect title. Tough choice for Vanesa. What to do with the phone and the gun, and the truth they point to?

AMOR ETERNO

Tuesday's episode seemed to be setting up events to come. A few notes:

~~ Kemal's bro Tarik has been deputized by Emir to care for Emir's lover Banu, doing poorly after her abortion. Tarik stumbles upon sonogram print-out. Troubled look from Tarik.

~~ Leyla warns Kemal that Asu and her uncle [Hakki, Kemal's former boss in the mining days] are scheming to march Kemal into marriage with Asu. When Kemal looks skeptical, Leyla says: "don't wrinkle your beautiful eyebrows," open your eyes!

~~ The police tell Nihan the drunk driver responsible for her pa's accident has been arrested and confessed. Yet Nihan and pa still suspect Emir's involved somehow.

~~ Emir continues his seduction of Kemal's sister Zeynep. He's got her out on his yacht, saying "what happens on the boat, stays on the boat." But the boat captain snaps a photo of them kissing.

~~ Nice extended scene with Kemal and Nihan. Kemal sends her a written invitation, to a movie ["Butterfly Effect".] Theme of outing is "can we stop time for two hours?" Our star-crossed lovers share popcorn, searching looks, and some love talk. Nihan says they are cursed, she can't see how this ends. Kemal is more optimistic: this is not yet over....the end may surprise you..."you haven't forgotten me, and I'll never forget you." Nihan flounces out of the theatre.

~~ Still searching for answers about the night at the ranch that led to Nihan's forced marriage to Emir, Kemal prowls around some house and manages to get inside [I assume some clue from the license plates led him there?]. Inside, some man is furiously trying to delete computer files before ultimately stuffing laptops and cash into a backpack, speeding off on a motorcycle and escaping Kemal.

~~ Kemal goes back into the house where he sees a photo of a house on a computer screen. He sends it to Nihan and asks if she recognizes it. Nope.

~~ Mention of someone new: Evil Emir's ma. When Emir opens a bank security deposit box, it is empty. Emir's pa has cleaned it out. Emir goes nuts and calls his pa to confront him. Pa says he's on his way to Emir's ma's house, they can talk there.

~~ In that day's mail, Nihan receives a photo of the same house Kemal had asked her about, the mystery house from the computer screen. Cara impactada de Nihan.

~~ Also rumbling is Leyla's getting closer to telling the truth to Nihan [that Leyla is her aunt, that Nihan's ma stole Nihan's pa away from Leyla, etc.]

Hope this helps Amor Eterno viewers!

THanks, Diana, Steve, Susanlynn and Lucio. Things sure are heating up for Charly, aren't they? Three more episodes to go and there is still much to be resolved.

Diana, "Charly’s outsize ego refuses to even consider the fact he is under a relentless cloud of suspicion, one which he will not manage to evade. " I don;t think I have ever seen a character with such a huge ego...and he is such a pathological liar. It is unbelievable how he can think that he can fool everybody all the time, but his time is coming soon. And, no, Jack had no clue of Rosalia's intent to "help him" get Yameli. Apparently, Jack did know that Rosalia had engaged in some questionable tactics, but it was all tied to the music business.

Steve, yes, Vanessa is slowly opening her eyes to see the real Charly. Poor girl has not had easy. Of al the characters, I think she is the one who will suffer the most as a result of Yameli's initial plan.

Susanlynn, "Wendy and Mom are finally seeing the light. You cannot make somebody love you. Wendy got a bad deal from juanjo being weak and indecisive, but she is not blameless . She should not have gotten pregnant without talking to Juanjo." Exactly! Juanjo shares quite a bit of the blame for the mess they are in, but she knew exactly how he felt about Yameli.

Lucio, Vanessa certainly has a very tough decision to make. What I think will give her that push to turn in the evidence to the right people is when she realizes that her father was responsible for her mother's death; she will surely strike out against him.

Susanlynn, as of right now, there is no TN scheduled after Reina. The schedule shows "La Rosa de Guadalupe" as the replacement for that time slot. BooHoo!

ETERNO

Clara, thanks for the notes on Eterno. This is on too early for me to watch, but I do get to see the last few minutes.Now I have an idea of what's going on and who is whom. Thank you!

REINA

Great title Rgv Chick. Honestly, between the Bible and Shakespeare, we probably have everything we could possibly need as titles for these dramatic episodes.

Loved these observations:

Time is spent (wasted) as Vanessa models his merchandise.

Yes, definitely a little "filler" there as are the endless tracks of people singing while Juanjo, or whoever, nods their head to the beat.

Happy to see that Vanessa took both the gun and the phone. But good grief! that gun looked enormous! Sheesh.

And totally agree that for once Juanjo wasn't "jojum" in the way he pasted Charly a good one. And if only he'd let his hair be mussed up like that all the time, I might find him attractive. But alas, in the next scene, it was once again slicked back into that ridiculous pompadour.

The scenes with Irma's dad were depressing but realistic. I did though enjoy his attempt to be further interviewed by saying "Oh you want someone without experience." Because someone with a degree just has book learning, whereas he was presenting himself as someone with real life experience on the job. I thought that was a very good strategy. But unfortunately it didn't work. Sooo.....back to the bottle.

Great, smooth-flowing recap Rgv Chick. Enjoyed it. But I'm ready for this one to wrap up and for Charly to meet his just reward. Hopefully Vanessa's extended family and Serge will help her face the future without either father or mother.

Jarifa. Thank you for a very detailed recap.

Ubaldo seems to increase the list of persons he wants killed: Ari, Carlota,Olegario. If Soledad asks for a divorce her name will go on the 'electrician's' hit list. Andres is already a casualty.

The two novios, Ari and Temo, are the most restrained gay late teens when it comes to showing physical affection. ( I suspect gay teens watching this in Mexico must be cracking up.) But in some ways this is probably the best portrayal for a general audience.

I cannot wait to see what Ubaldo's punishment will be beside losing the election. He needs to go to jail.

JUNTOS

Jarifa, thank you for that detailed racap.

Ubaldo is manical and crazed, and Sergio is playing him in a completely over-the-top way . There is no subtlety in his performance ...just flat out evil and psychotic.

I was married the the gentlest , most loving guy , and I cringe when I see domestic violence depicted in the screen.

JUNTOS

Anon, you are right about the restrained depiction of Ari and Temo/PDA’s being a good portrayal for a general audience. Just the fact that the characters were an integral part to MMTF/ MMTMFand had a spin-off centered around them all shown at “the family hour” (in Mexico and here) was a big step.

Susanlynn, I sure agree about Ubaldo. He is really a one dimensional character here almost cartoonish.

Thanks, all for stopping by the patio!

JUNTOS

Great job, Jarifa.

The buildup to reveal the identity of Nora's long-lost love sure is over the top. Male? Female? I just hope they got a strong character to play the novio/a, otherwise after all this buildup I'll be letdown.

Anon, ITA Ari and Temo are restrained novios and no doubt viewers their age are probably laughing or rolling their eyes. Years from now this will seem so tame. I just watched "Guess Who's Coming to Dinner" (1967) where the interracial hetero couple barely kissed, but for me the movie still works because of the feelings and the performance.

JUNTOS

Niecie, great point about “Guess Who’s Coming to Dinner”. I remember the brouhaha at the time.

Niecie and Jarifa,
I just watched " A Summer Place " with Sandra Dee and Troy Donahue and "Susan Slade" with Connie Stevens and Troy Donahue. Those were about teen pregnancies in the 60s. Yikes...how times have changed !

JUNTOS, EL CORAZÓN NUNCA SE EQUIVOCA Capítulo 12 Wednesday 8;28/19 Part 1

Elsa sits at home thinking how Ubaldo told her she was fired.

Carlota tells her dad that she found out that the land where Andrés’ body was discovered belongs to Isarnio Caballero. Oleg cannot believe that she did something like that. She should have told him. He would have helped her. Carlota tells him that that was not possible because he wasn’t really there. They were all separated; trapped by their own pain and sadness. She wasn’t sure they would believe her. Oleg blames himself and vows to kill if Ubaldo if he is responsible for Andrés’ death. That is exactly what Carlota was worried about. She doesn’t want to lose him, too. She asks him also not to say anything to Elsa until they have more proof. She tells him about the video where Andrés said Ubaldo was capable of doing the worst things.

At Eduardo’s, Eduardo tells Ari that Arqui is trying to fill the emptiness in his life with his imaginary friend. Temo lightens the mood by telling them to go along with it. He should know because he had an imaginary friend, too. Having an imaginary companion is sometimes preferable because they do not die until we want them to. ( little Arqui’s imaginary friend is named Polilla which is must another way of saying Polita) Carlota texts Temo and Ari to come to the apartment.

At the kids’ apartment, Diego passes on through with his date as Ari and Temo wait. Finally, Carlota and Oleg arrive. Carlota tells the boys her father knows everything. He thanks the boys for supporting Carlota against Ubaldo it now he is taking control of the situation. Ari explains that this is hard for Temo who has always trusted Ubaldo but they can count on him. Carlota goes to show her father the Andrés video but it has been erased from the USB drive. Her backup copy on her laptop is also gone. She becomes upset.Ari assures her they didn’t touch it. She knows it was there. What happened to it? She becomes hysterical. Oleg hugs her and tries to calm her down.

Ubaldo wakes up stating that today is Election Day. Soledad is already dressed.She asks where all of the bruises on his face came from. He says it is nothing that a little bit of makeup can’t take care of. He sits up and says they are going to get dressed and vote and then win! Next, he criticizes her earrings that are way too tacky for his taste. She knows he doesn’t like them. As Soledad sits there seri9jslh, he tells her to get her spirits up. She fells him she need to talk to him.

Carlota is with her mother at her house. Elsa asks her if she feels okay with those circles under her eyes. Oleg appears. Elsa wants to know what is going on. Why do they look upset?

Ubaldo informs Soledad that today is his day. She tells him she wants a divorce.

Elsa wants to to know what is wrong with Oleg’s face. Carlota says he had a motorcycle accident which prompts Elsa to tell him he needs to be more careful. As Elsa goes in to get her handbag before they leave, Carlota asks Oleg not to say anything about her amd want happened with Ubaldo to her mom. Oleg doesn’t promise her anything because the situation is so serious and he doesn’t want to make the same mistakes as before.

The Walls Are Closing In Yet Capitulation is No Where In Sight Part 1

Only the most delusional minds believe they are invincible. Guilt is not in their vocabulary. Sins are rationalized, culpability denied. Innocents hurt in the cross fire are dismissed as expendable. Casualties are inconsequential. Massive ego is inextricably bound to this equation. Denial is proffered and is expected to be taken at face value. In their mind, lies becomes truth. They will not be questioned. Their word is final.

An impenetrable fortress is crafted in the mind. Yet, they do not deign to acknowledge cracks in the façade. And as the entrance is breeched, confusion and bewilderment as to how this could happen sets in. And the final question. Fight or flight? Such will be Charly’s final choice…

Juanjo is giving Vanesa and Serge the grand tour of Surround Vibes. Serge is effusive in his approval - brother it’s incredible! Juanjo promises to let them hawk their wares at Erick's big concert coming up. Vanesa’s mind is elsewhere. Are you OK Serge asks? Yes she replies woodenly. In the park, Serge again asks her what is bothering her. She talks about the woman who showed up dead with the worst part being that Charly denied it. She opens her purse and shows him Diana’s phone and then, the sizeable gun which she took from Charly’s safe. Serge words mirror his alarm. Call the police he urges. No, Vanesa wants to know if her father has an explanation.

Charly and Caro are in a heated discussion. She reassures him that there's not enough proof, and even if the investigation is ongoing, it doesn't mean he'll be found guilty. As for money laundering, just pay the fine and be done with it! Charly thinks the best thing would be to get rid of Yameli. She wants him to stop obsessing over that woman. Instead, we need to concentrate on putting up a good defense.

Jack is kind and loving as he and Yameli talk at Surround Vibes. Alas, innocent lamb Jack being led to the slaughterhouse of irreconcilable relationships, does not have any sense that the ax is about to fall. Yameli questions him about Rosalie admitting she listened in on his discussion with her (which he chides her for). She accuses him of trying to set up Rosalia and Juanjo as a couple. He admits he knew Rosalia liked Juanjo but no way could he have power to make Juanjo fall for her. She doesn't like Rosalia. Thinks she's a "tramposa" [cheat] Jack says Yameli is a tramposa also. Hiding her motives and doing everything to bring down Charly and his empire. He doesn't want to fight though. He wants to love her and spend the rest of his life with her. Let's not ruin this over a misunderstanding. She tells him that she loves him (quiero) with all her heart but not that way. It won't work but she is very grateful for all he's done. With the simply uttered words that she loves Juanjo, Jack looks broken. He knew, but he just had to try. She values his friendship and wants it to last a lifetime. He shakes his head yes as she embraces him, his eyes closed as the camera pans around them.

The Walls Are Closing In Yet Capitulation is No Where In Sight Part 2

Wendy tells Juanjo she is moving to Chicago to live with her cousins. He urges her to stay in Mexico, the business is going great and they could raise their child together. They both grew up without parents and Juanjo wants to do better with his own child. He talks longingly about being a father, playing football with his son. Even though separated, he wants the best for his child. He admits that things change, life changes. But they have lived through so much together. She has always been his "complice" {ally] and always will.. They clasp hands on Wendy’s knee. Although her heart is clearly breaking Wendy handles herself with her dignity intact.

Yameli and Juanjo discuss Jack and Wendy. She tells him that Jack is a great friend and thanks to him, she has achieved wonderful things in life. He opened his home to her (as well as his heart but I digress), he gave her the needed boost in the music business. Juanjo understands because it's the same thing with Wendy. She has helped him so much. But now she is going to live in the United States. Yameli says hopefully life will get less complicated for us. Yes, he says, I will always be with you. She hugs him and says "You are my HOME" [hogar].

This sweet discussion of the easily shed exs is interrupted by the doorbell. Jack’s heart has not even finished breaking and lo and behold Yameli and Juanjo are already hosting a dinner party! Yameli and Juanjo announce (to no surprise) they are a couple again. Erick jokingly warns Juanjo not to let Yameli down.

Serge and Vane are working together getting the merchandise ready to sell at the concert. He is concerned, telling her she looks tired and wants her to rest. Erick gets a call from Serge in whispered tones, telling him Vanesa found the pistol and thinks that Charly killed the woman who was blackmailing him. Erick relays this message and he and Yameli take off.

Caro (towering over Charly), tells him she's happy. She has found a rich guy into reggaeton who wants to give Charly ton of money for a performance at a party. Is it legal Charly asks? Yes. Charly is ready to perform but she says, no he wants a woman. Okay. Charly will get Irma to do it, and give her a percentage of the take, he’ll talk to her tomorrow. It has to be settled NOW argues Caroline. Charly’s ferret like eyes ae darting side to side. More eyedropper drugs.

Serge comes in as Vanesa listens to a cell phone recording. She believes it’s real. Vanesa wrestles with her turmoil – she can’t tell the police. . It’s not easy she says and struggles with what to do. He tells her Yameli and Erick are on their way over. Vanesa, very upset, tries to leave but Yameli and Erick arrive simultaneously and intercept her. Yameli persuades her that she cares and that this is the only way to clear up her doubt. Either it will prove her dad innocent or instead that he killed the blackmailer and had something to do with the death of her mother. Do the right thing. Betray my Dad? No, seek justice for your mother. She didn't deserve to die the way she did. Do it for your mom. That is better than living with doubt.

Serge reminds her that no matter what happens, we're with you.

The Walls Are Closing In Yet Capitulation is No Where In Sight Part 3

A solemn scene as Vanesa sits across from Contreras. Her face is impassive as she hands him the carefully wrapped gun. Where did you get it he queries. At my father’s house. I need to know whether or not he's involved in death of the blackmailer and my mother. Then, the trump card, Diana’s phone, is placed on the table. Vaya. [roughly translated as "wow" or "oh my"… In the hall, Yameli tells Vanesa she is very valiant. Understandably, Vanesa does not want to go home. She refuses Erick’s offer as her abuela is there. She goes where every kind soul who has problems goes – to Estela, Serge’s mother’s house. She offers a formal thank you to Yameli and Erick garners a hug. What if it was my dad? Yameli seems emotional and Vanesa says if so, her father has to take the consequences.

Caro’s mark (clearly a narcotraficante of some sort) wants a big name as this is a party for his brother who's getting married. Not impressed with Irma (doesn't know her) although Charly tells him she sang Mentiroso. Then Charly says, hey wait till you see how she MOVES...how she eats up the scenery when she's on stage. He likes the sound of that. Blech.

Irma tells her father he is a disgrace. He's complaining he was so humiliated. She's sick and tired of his playing the victim, blaming everyone, not taking responsibility for his choices and actions. He looks stricken as she leaves. But not stricken enough to be deterred from chugging a bottle of liquor as he screams his angst and anguish.

Vane confides that the last thing she wants to do is fight with her father. Serge tells her to just let things "flow", unfold as they must. Everything will be alright.

Charly goes to his safe and to his surprise, finds it empty. Looking shell shocked, he calls Vanesa. Charly goes to Ligia’s who asserts Vanesa is not there. She says he should ask Erick. He doesn’t want to talk to “that idiot”. He blames Ligia for taking sides. She's not. Well if Erick is with Yameli, then he's against me and I don't want anything to do with him, even if he's my son.

Ligia is concerned that the case has been reopened and that the seemingly incriminating tape is circulating everywhere. Charly gives the usual 'it's been messed with" explanation. Don't you believe me? Ligia thinks things are very strange. Charly says it's "strange" that the police believe Yameli and not him. He's innocent. He wants Ligia to believe him and trust him. She tells him she's his mom and asks him to talk with her. Stay here tonight.

The Walls Are Closing In Yet Capitulation is No Where In Sight Part 4 (Last)

We are finally treated to a few tender, romantic moments. After Yameli asks Juanjo if he can believe it was finally his own daughter that turned Charly in, they engage in slow, tender kisses meant to clearly convey theirs is indeed true love. The only sense I get is that some serious slicing and dicing occurred. Yes, please cut out the one romantic scene we’ve gotten this entire TN. Granted, they are not the right partners but something is better than nothing I tentatively offer.

Erick arrives home and asks why Charly is there. Ligia said he’s worried about Vanesa. Erick asserts she is helping Serge although he can’t look Ligia in the eyes. Tell her to give her dad a message. He's worried about her. Erick waits up for Irma to get back.

In the next morning’s afterglow, Yameli and Juanjo look radiantly happy. She protests she doesn't want Juanjo to get dressed as he looks better in his undies. He reminds her that they have a concert to get ready for but when she says I'll give you a concert right here all bets are off. Onto round 2.

Charly has nightmare remembers a montage of scenes including Yameli, Tono. Diana’s murder, shooting Marlene. Ligia shakes him awake. Wants him to talk to Erick.

Vanesa seems bereft of any emotions. Serge doesn’t want Vanesa to be sad but she asks what if my dad is guilty? Don't think about it. If he had something to do with my mom's death, I can't forgive him for that.

Juanjo and Yameli are having breakfast. She says with coffee and his kiss, it makes for a great day. But she's thinking of Vanesa and is worried about how hurt she will be when police find her father guilty.

Erick greets his father. Charly asks Ligia to leave them. Erick states this is a big day (concert that night). Can we not fight? Charly wants him to listen to his side of the story. Erick notes that if you say Yameli is lying and you're telling the truth, just NO. I don't want to listen. How many times have I sought you out?

I wish I had known that you were my son Charly counters. Seriously.

Erick tell him he always sought your approval growing up. You seemed to hate me. You never had time for family. Then Erick brings up Yameli. Naturally, Charly says she's obsessed with me. Her trying to destroy me is not normal. Erick counters that nothing in this is normal. My mom has turned the page and moved on. You need to also.

Charly reiterates that woman is out to get me. If you're with her, you're against me!

Charly and his silver booties leave.

REINA-SOY

This was my last Reina recap. What a pleasure this has been.

My heartfelt thanks and appreciation to my amiga Judy who has been beyond generous with her time when there was little for her to give. I could not have done any justice to these last episodes without her help. Judy you lead by example. Kindness first. Always.

I also thank Rgv Chick who filled in much that I missed with my earlier recaps. It is now time to turn the last few recaps over to you, the captain of our ship, to steer this off into the sunset.

To Susanlynn and Lucio, our faithful commenters and others who stopped by to say hello - thank you.

It's been a wonderful ride - not yet over. More tomorrow.

His mom and he love him. Soledad comes in and Ubaldo hugs them. “Their family is complete now “ but Soledad clearly doesn’t want to be there.

JUNTOS

My most unfavorite character in this one was Dora. Where does she get off thinking she is so religious when she is only arrogant.?

Ubaldo was strangely entertaining. The character does seem to be unbalanced in the midst of his other “pathies”. Great acting.

Loved Temo reminiscing how Ari told him he wasn’t interested because he wasn't gay. I remember that scene from MMTF.

I also loved Temo talking about his own imaginary friend and giving the situation the lightness and humor that was needed.

JUNTOS

You untangled this sordid web perfectly Jarifa.

I wasn't able to watch this so I appreciate all your details.

"Ubaldo informs Soledad that today is his day. She tells him she wants a divorce.
Ubaldo is shocked". Really?? :)

"He has given her anything she could ever ask for. She can just make her sculptures and not worry about them selling or not because of how ugly they are". Surely he fathoms why she wants to leave him.

Little Arqui has stolen my heart. And while I have great affection for Ari (and sadly pity for Diego), the lack of a comforting, loving heart of this is missing. I still cannot get over Polita's death, which was pointless.

I also remembered Ari's initial rejection of Temo from MMTF. And yes, Temo's comfort to Arqui in the form of remembering his pretend friend was endearing.

I hope to start watching more of this although the majority of characters lack the sweetness of MMTF.

Jarifa, thank you for another fantastic recap.

REINA

Like our dear Susanlynn, I always look forward to your prologues Diana. There is so much wisdom in them and they are so beautifully crafted and written. I'm going to copy and paste the whole thing right here because the insights into character bear repeating:

But there were other little gems in the recap that I found delightful:

he [Jack] opened his home to her (as well as his heart but I digress)

the sweet discussion of the easily shed exs

Oh yes, they just shucked off those two like worn-out jackets, didn't they? On to hot lovemaking 1 and 2, baby. Well, it was certainly better than killing off Wendy as the inconvenient spouse. But I'm still completely lukewarm, if not cold, about this particular coupling. Gah.

And Charly's "ferret-like eyes."

Your ability to glean so much from visuals really adds to the texture and depth of your recaps.

And amiga, taking notes on dialog is easy. It's crafting them into a smooth-flowing, cohesive recap that's hard. You did the heavy lifting. And did it beautifully. I was just a typist.

Thank you dear friend for giving generously of your very limited time to this blog site. I know you're barely getting by on about 4 or 5 hours of sleep on recapping days, and I am humbled. My life is easy-peasey compared to yours.

REINA-SOY

Judy, my heart and I thank you for your very kind and generous words. They mean more than I can say.

Truthfully, your words gave depth and meaning to the story I could not possibly have conveyed. Gracias amiga.

Your comment on Juanjo and Yameli's handling of Wendy and Jack "... just shucked off those two like worn-out jackets" was perfect. The reading of my temperature for this non couple is "icy". Sigh.

And yes, while grateful Wendy didn't have to die, I did think it was quite callous to disregard his first family so easily. If they have Yameli pregnant at the end of this, I will be beside myself. If I wanted the sad, seedy side of life I can watch the news for five minutes. I yearn for true love, utter devotion between the couple and no "inconvenient spouses". I hope those days and unattached galans will continue going forward.

Again, thank you for helping the finale mirror the intended words and actions. All after a busy day that included crafting the wonderful Mirada finale. You are amazing.

Diana

REINA

(((Diana)))..Warrior Princess, I cannot thank you enough for keeping these recaps going . You have a beautiful writing style, and I feel your heart in your thoughtfully crafted words. This is The best telenovela I have seen in a long time, and these last months , I have had to find whatever I can to keep my thoughts occupied. You will never know how grateful I am to have the patio as part of my day.

Poor Jack. WELL, I guess the writers were just playing with us. At least we got to see him I. The kind of food he died so well...kind, loyal, loving,thoughtful.

Exactly where did Wendy moving to a Chicago come from ? Is mom going with her? So now, Juanjo will separated from his child. End scene. Que the hell?
Thanks for explaining "vaya"...I hear it all the time and guessed it was just like us saying " oh" "wow" "gee"

I am worried about Irma performing at that smarmy, little guy's party. Ugh. Poor Irma.She is lucky to have Erick in her life now.

I have to mention the great performances in this show. I am especially impressed with the actors who played Erick and Charly.

Like you, Diana, that love scene ....meh. I think Juanjo's best scenes were as the supportive "dad" scenes with Erick and even Sergio. This actor is good-looking , but he doesn't have that elusive quality that makes the galan shine . ( Fernando Colunga, Big Ed Yanez, Marcelo Cordoba, Sam Heughan who plays Jamie in Outlander, I am looking right at you, lads.)

I hate autocorrect so much.

That was supposed to be concerning Jack " at least we got to see him play the kind of role he plays so well kind, loyal, loving, thoughtful". Sorry..I am rushing ..things I have to do, places I have to go.

AMOR ETERNO (1)

Nihan calls Kemal about the photos but he doesn’t pick up. Meanwhile Kemal is outside of the mysterious house from the photos, watching Emir and his father discussing his mother. She’s alive but comatose, and she’s kept at that private home. He finally picks up the phone and tells Nihan that the house belongs to her mother in law. But Nihan is perplexed because she knew that the lady was dead since Emir was five. Kemal however tells her that he knows she’s hiding something about her brother. He calls her his heroine, but remarks that Nihan has some other hero. He promises to free her, even if it takes his lifetime.

Emir resents his father for putting his mother into that bed. His father doesn’t care about that- he is worried about the videos being used in the blackmail instead. He takes them, letting Emir know he’s as helpless as a child. He’s going to look at each video frame and figure out who is blackmailing his defenseless son.

Kemal watches Emir’s father leave. Meanwhile Nihan tried calling him back and not being able to get a response, she goes to seek help from her father and lets him know everything. Her father tells her whether or not Emir is blackmailed, he will still use the videos against them. He also confessed to Nihan that Emir had locked up Osan for a few hours to let them understand who has the power. Nihan curses her husband.

Emir is in the room with his mother and recalls to her that it’s been 25 years since she’s left him. He claims his father drove her into the situation she’s in now. In the car, Emir remembers that his mother threw herself from the roof of the house, while he was calling out for her... He drives away, trying to push the memory away.

Kemal left and was walking a prostitute’s corner. Soon two territorial guys ask him why he’s there. A third one comes behind Kemal in what was about to become an assault but Kemal pins him to the wall and says “I need someone better than you. Take me with him.”

Kemal’s parents are contemplating Zeynep’s future marriage. The mother was so excited, claiming she always thought Zeynep would finish college first before taking this big step. The father claims they have to wait for the proposal first. The beloved daughter comes back from work and her mother hands her a gift for the wedding. Zeynep looks bothered and tells them she doesn’t want to get married.

Kemal is speaking to gangsters. He tells them he’s not afraid of them. He’s convinced them to trust him, and he shakes hands with the one in the green jacket, who’s apparently the boss. This one tells him it’s a very complicated and risky job, why should they carry it out? At the same time the men are playing a word game, and soon enough the boss got bored and spat on one of the players. The game ends there and he invites Kemal to sit down, asking him where the house is.

AMOR ETERNO (2)

Nihan and Emir went for a car ride. She asks him who is blackmailing him; because it’s putting everyone at risk. He refuses to tell Nihan much, and she gets irritated and starts shoving him, claiming she’s sick and tired of him and will kill him if she has to. She wants the videos, but Emir says he’s destroyed them already. She still wants them, each and every one that he will continue to receive, and she will destroy them herself. She ends the conversation there and gets back in the car.

In her room, Zeynep is busy texting Emir. She snapped a photo of him that she found online, writing that he looks young there. She sees an incoming call and rejects it. Then she gets a text. It’s Ozan. He doesn’t understand that she’s not interested in him whatsoever. He calls again and she answers, to tell him she’s not interested in anyone and doesn’t owe him any explanation. She hangs up on him. Nihan overhears, asks Ozan why he doesn’t just leave her alone. He tells her he’s sure that there’s someone else in Zeynep’s life.

In Kemal’s household, there is a meeting regarding Zeynep’s refusal to get married. The oldest brother tells his sister that he supports her decision. Kemal tells his parents he will handle the conversation, and so they leave the room. Zeynep tells him how the entire relationship is. Kemal asks her why does she string Salih around? She can’t continue to hurt his feelings. The eldest asks if Kemal will force her to marry. Zeynep says Salih imagined it all, and is responsible for his own feelings getting hurt. Kemal wants to know if there’s another reason that she’s rejecting Salih. She maintains that there isn’t one, while looking down suspiciously. Kemal continues to ask questions. Is there someone else? The eldest says that his sister is his responsibility and not Kemal’s, but Kemal claims he has a right to it too. Zeynep gets mad and turns the tables on him, asking if he would like it if they had asked all these questions to him about Nihan. Kemal gets offended and puts her in her place. She leaves. The eldest then tells Kemal that he should go back where he came from: everything has changed since he came back. But Kemal says he’s worried about Zeynep’s future, but the eldest brother continues to claim that responsibility. They continue to argue.

In her home, Nihan continuously hears the alien spaceship ringtone going off. Emir is in the shower, and so she goes to peek at his phone. She discretely picks up an incoming call and hears Zeynep on the other end. She’s shocked, and Zeynep is none the wiser. As soon as Emir walks out of the bathroom, Nihan tells him to get away from Zeynep. He gets a little entertained and asks her if she works for the secret service. She tells him he disgusts her, and she demands he stay away from Kemal’s sister.

Thanks Clara for yesterday's recap. Zeynep just gets more frustrating to watch, and she should realize she's overtexting and calling Emir. He wasn't answering her back today, but she just kept going. Kemal's siblings are dumb selfish nuts. Emir's money talks.

Ozan needs to behave like an adult, not a whiny teenager.

Diana, I will never find the words to express how much I admire your writing...eloquent, filled with so much wisdom and insight, awe-inspiring, and obviously written from the heart. Thank you so much for sharing your talent and time with us. As JudyB stated, putting together a recap is hard. I also know the long hours that you work and how limited your rest time is; so your dedication and effort is that much more appreciated.

Like Susanlynn and JudyB, I look most forward to your prologues and this most current one is exceptional and merits another repeat...

JudyB, I could copy and paste your entire comment...beautifully written and such a mirror of my own thoughts (only much better stated :-) I especially appreciated "they just shucked off those two like worn-out jackets, didn't they?" They sure did...and no remorse whatsoever. I, too, am not thrilled with the Juanjo-Yameli coupling so I'm not even going to mention their "union". In fact, about the only couple I can truly say that I support is Serg and Vanessa. Kudos to the young actors who are portraying these two characters because they're emotions seem genuine and realistic.

Susanlynn, "I have to mention the great performances in this show. I am especially impressed with the actors who played Erick and Charly." I absolutely loved the performances and the music on this show, bot don't you wish we could have seen more performances from Axel. He has only sung a few times, but he shows exceptional talent and charisma...and his looks go without saying...handsome and sexy! RAWWRR!

Steve, no, Jack did not get whacked.

Anonymous, thank you so much for recapping Amor Eterno. I appreciate knowing what is being said because I can only get a limited understanding via the visuals.

REINA-SOY

Susanlynn, we've taken many journeys together over the past decade, haven't we?

You are always so supportive and I so appreciate your kind words. The encouragement and camaraderie here make this the only place I feel I can truly be myself.

I am glad this TN was a brief respite from all the grief you have suffered over the past year. You have friends here who have and who continue to care deeply about you.

I cannot take credit for "vaya" - that was our Judy. But I suspect you already knew that :)

The acting was stellar and I find fault with the performance of no one. Polo's future should be bright and if Lambda dances and performs even half as well as he acts, his future should be assured as well.

We've always shared similar taste in galans, particularly Eduardo. Huge sigh. Interesting that Mane was the galan for this and for La Malquerida, the two TNs I've recapped. I like him personally too but agree his charisma and passion is not quite up to that of other, higher tier galans.

And how anyone could pass up Marcelo (Jack) is beyond me.

Thank you amiga for your boundless enthusiasm and support. I'm looking forward to hopefully watching something else with you very soon.

REINA-SOY

Rgv Chick, you are too kind! Thank you for such lovely words.

Reina presented me with the pleasure and honor of working with two remarkable, talented women - you and Judy. You've both taught me much and your generous spirits have been inspiring and uplifting.

You have persevered through a difficult and emotionally draining time, yet you soldiered on to provide these summaries we so look forward to. It seems as though you've always been "here" as you are so integral to the success of Caray, Caray.

And while the romance we yearned for never materialized, the story itself has remained fresh and crisp throughout.

I am repeating myself but I just love Pierre Louis too. I know there is a U tube video of him singing I've yet to watch, but I will! Oh, also, Mane's name is appearing in a few of the song credits so not sure if he composed or sang or both.

Anxiously awaiting tonight!

Thank you amiga.

AMOR ETERNO

Anon Fri, thanks for the great recap! You captured so much detail for a complicated episode and explained things so well.

Emir's "alien spaceship ringtone!" I couldn't think how to describe it. Perfect fit between ringtone and personality. He seemed to think Nihan was jealous.

Emir was surprisingly tender with his comatose ma, tho. Wonder if we'll get more of that backstory?

Agree re Zeynep. Painful to watch her swinging from pouty mode to vamp mode. Her fall off her perch will be painful too. Interesting family dynamics at the marriage meeting, and yes, Ozan has been overly-enabled.

No Leyla, Vildan, or Asu last night.

~~~~Rgv Chick, thanks for the shout-out. And for all you do.
Thanks, Jarifa. Fab recap.
It's election day and I realize we never got to know Ubaldo's opponent. Whoever it is, I hope they win.
Dora, you need to have the priest pour the entire bottle of purification on you. Arrogant hypocrite. I do like your loose ponytail though. Compliments to the hair stylist.
JUNTOS
Diana, thanks. It is always good to see you on the patio! We have only 9 episodes left if they don’t do anymore slicing and dicing. Ubaldo’s reactions to his family on the day of the election were just bizarre. He was all sunshine and happiness. It was so creepy. Of course, poor Diego has no idea that Soledad has told Ubaldo’s that she wants divorce so it seems that Ubaldo is taking advantage of that at this point, too, but there is something not quite right behind those Ubaldo eyes. It goes beyond him being evil.
Niecie, good point that we have no idea who Ubaldo’s opponent was. I wonder if Dora will ever see the light. She needs a visit from Imelda.
Oh yes Anon that helps alot, I appreciate this so much. Thank U
Pregnant(I'm assuming)sister. But this Is What Im wondering about, is nihan And her brothers twins? Cuz One time I thought nihan was her Aunts daughter that she gave her Sister and ex to raise. I love recappers. Thank you Anon 10:57
Amor ETERNO
I'm getting caught up. Thank you Anon.
Zeynep is a snooty little twit who has
No idea what she is getting herself into. The same with her numnut other
Brother. Kemal is going to have to save both their butts. I think his bro
Jealous of him. He was Getting all the
Attention before Kemal came back. And
Now he is acting like a brat.
This auto correct does not want me to
Spell kemal's name right. It keeps on
Going "kendal". Annoying auto correct.
Smoe ETERNO
Emir's syfy is as freaky as he is. It
Reminds me of those old syfy movies that usef tk come on the early show back in the 60s. Anybody born after 70
Don't know what I'm talkin about. It's ok, it's a weird sounding ringtone for
A seemingly sophisticated man to have on his phone. They probly had a laugh
When they picked that ringtone for this character. They probly laughed after the director says "CUT". I mean
Really, how does the actor hold on to
To his noodles without busting into a
Rolling laughter fest after that phone
Rings? His face is frozen sour puss.
Lol, it's so funny. But I'm liking this show. Thank you recappers.
Lol, "Smoe" Eterno. It's not my fault,
Its the storm "DORIAN".
Nina...stay safe.
Yes we will, Thank you SusyQ :-)
I am really enjoying Amor Eterno but I must say the Emir-Nihan relationship is one of the all time weirdest ones ever! I mean he acts like a total scary freaky controlling monster with her and she in turn controls him with her demands, at times shoving him, yelling at him, demanding he answer her questions or do what she asks etc. It's just so strange. I mean normally a guy like that would be shutting her up real fast but he is just submissive with her most of the time. The reactions of several of the characters are quite strange to me. Nevertheless, I remain totally captivated by this TN!!
