Ep 77: Part 1 Defeated, Defamed and Desperate
At Surround Vibes, Juanjo meets with his employees and tells them that everything has to be done right since the concert will be seen throughout the world. After the employees leave, Juanjo asks for a good luck kiss from Yameli. She hesitates since she doesn’t want to jinx it, but gives him a kiss anyway.
At Lidia’s place, Erick is getting ready to leave and sees that Lidia is sitting and looking distraught. Lidia isn’t going to the concert...she is worried about Charly who seems to be running through a dead-end alley. Erick urges her not to stress since Charly is a big boy and can take care of himself. Lidia feels bad about not going to the concert, but she isn’t up to it…and she promises to watch the concert on the computer.
At the concert hall, El Buho interviews Axel and some other singers while Juanjo and Yameli watch. El Buoh asks Axel what happened since he had worked at Luxor for so many years. Axel explains that he was never given the opportunities that he wanted at Luxor; so he signed on with Juanjo who gave him the opportunity…and he is more than happy to be with him. As he talks, Charly struts and grimaces as he listens to Axel add that he wouldn’t be there had it not been for Yameli…he owes them his life. El Buho then introduces Juanjo…and Yameli whom he refers to as the “Reina del Flow.”
Outside, Charly grabs Irma who is with some of her fans. He takes her to introduce her to the slimy rich guy who wants to hire her. Irma senses the man’s ill-intentions, but manages to be civil and walks away. Charly follows her to her trailer where he tells her that the guy happens to have lots of money and wants to hire her for a private show. Irma thinks that the guy wants more than a show; so Charly suggests that if she wants to give extra, it’s up to her. Charly then gives Irma her costume which she thinks is just a small cloth…she can’t go out with that and refuses to put it on. Charly is fed up with her refusal to do as he says; so he threatens that he will sue her for breach of contract.
Charly leaves and runs into Axel outside. When Charly chides him for going with Juanjo, Axel wonders if Charly expected him to be his minion (achichincle) forever. Charly returns that Axel is his friend…and he has been his minion all his life…but he’s just kidding! Axel suggests that Charly go his way and Axel will go his own way. Charly, however, wants Axel to return to Luxor. After Axel refuses, Charly scorns Axel and tells him that he will be a failure if he stays with Juanjo. As he walks away, Axel counters that Charly is the only failure there…and if Charly keeps pestering him, he may just spill a couple of things that he knows about Charly. Charly darts back and warns him not to mess with him. Axel stands firm and asserts that he could tell the cops everything he knows. When he adds that he could tell the cops everything that Charly told him to say about Diana, Charly grabs him, but Yameli comes running with security guards and orders them to take Charly away. After she asks Axel if he is okay, Axel blurts out the he is fed up with Charly…he doesn’t care what he has to do, but he is going to turn in Charly and tell the cops everything he knows to make sure Charly rots in prison. Yameli calms him down and reminds him that he has the concert to perform in…that is what is important right now.
Ep 77: Part 2 Defeated, Defamed and Desperate
Concert Time—
Axel kicks off the concert with a stellar performance of his new song. As he sings, Charly congratulates Juanjo for finally getting Yameli after so many years. Juanjo won’t lose any time trying to explain about love to Charybecause, throughout his whole life, Charly has only loved himself. After Charly smirks and mocks him, Juanjo adds that Charly has hurt many people and he is going to pay. When Charly threatens to bring Juanjo down, Juanjo smugly responds that Charly will never change…he is up to his neck in the water and he still has the audacity to threaten him.
After Axel finishes his song, the duo, Camilo and Awonder, perform. Once finished, El Buho introduces Pez Koi who dedicates his song to his two mothers whom he loves very much. Lidia listens proudly through her computer while Yameli watches with a big smile. After he finishes, Irma performs her song as her father watches with admiration and pride from his computer.
Erick comes back on stage and announces that Charly Flow happens to be in the audience. After he urges Charly to join him, Charly goes on stage and Erick suggests that he show everyone how he came to be such a musical sensation. Erick challenges Charly to sing something simple, but improvised. Quite confident, Charly accepts the challenge and urges the audience to clap to the beat…then points to Erick so that he can go first. Erick starts his verse: Ever since I was little, I sang with my people; and with the talent of my father who is present, with these verses I will present this battle that is about to start. Lidia, who is watching on the computer proudly shouts. That’s my son!” After Erick motions to Charly that he is next, Charly starts< Good evening, good evening, princesses! Everyone help me with your palms! Up, up, up! With my talent and my music, I will always continue making my music. Still at home, Lidia worries and bites her fingernails as she sees Charly struggling to improvise his part of the song; she urges Charly on telling him that he can do this. Vanessa, who is in the audience, lowers her head in disappointment and frustration. She tells Serg that she wants to leave…she doesn’t want to see them doing this to her father. Erick continues his verse: Too bad your verse will not last. My dear Charly doesn’t know how to improvise. I’m next, then, my people, let’s enjoy! Let’s continue the party; let’s sing! Charly ignores the message and gracefully thanks the audience. He tells them not to give up on their dreams and not to mind all the insults….they should fight like he has. After Charly walks off the stage, Erick thanks the crowd and Yameli yells out “PEZ” to lead the crowd in a chant for Erick. Charly, who is now among the crowd, looks up at Erick knowing he has been defeated and defamed by his own son.
At the police station, Officer Olmedo rushes into Detective Bowtie’s office yelling, “We have him!” He explains to Bowtie that he has just been told that the analysis confirmed that the voices on the recording are indeed that of Diana and Charly. He also hands Bowtie the ballistics report that shows that the gun Vanessa gave them only has Charly’s fingerprints and that the bullet that killed Marlene came from that gun. Bowtie orders Olmedo to get a warrant for Charly’s arrest immediately; they can’t let Charly escape…and he wants Charly to be given the harshest punishment of his life.
Ep 77: Part 3 Defeated, Defamed and Desperate
At the concert, Erick continues to sing along with Irma. Meanwhile, Jose shows up at Lidia’s house. Lidia receives him with a big smile and invites him in to watch the concert with her. Charly still looks distraught as he watches Irma and Erick sing together. After they finish, Erick tells the audience that he wants someone special to accompany him on stage…someone who is very special to him and whom he needed all his life…and he finally has her at his side. He calls out “Ma” and urges the audience to applaud for the best music composer in the country…Yameli Montoya. Charly watches as he seethes in anger. Yameli goes on stage and thanks the audience. She tells them that the song that her son is about to sing is one that she wrote for him with all her heart. Erick and Yameli sing as they look lovingly at each other. Once finished, Yameli kisses her son on the forehead…as Charly grits his teeth and leaves. As he is walking outside Carolina calls him…she has called him a thousand times. The analysis of the recording is out; and there a warrant for his arrest. Caro advises that it is best that he turn himself in, but Charly wants to leave the country. Though Caro warns him that that is the worst thing he can do, Charly prefers to be dead rather than go to prison. As Caro tries to calm him down and reassure him that she has some strategies, Charly see Yameli. He grabs a knife from a satchel and follows her to her trailer. As he enters, Yameli has her back turned and thinks it’s Juanjo. When she turns around and sees Charly, she tells him to get out, but Charly only wants to ask her one question—are you happy? -Yes, I’m happy to see that my son is succeeding…your son. You made my life hell. What you are living is nothing compared to what I lived. Charly grabs her and holds her close. Yameli asks him not to touch her, but Charly brings up the knife he grabbed and tells her to shut up. He wants to know--how does it feel to know that my wife being killed because of you. When Yameli argues, he shouts, “Shut up!” and asks her, “How does it feel to know that my daughter hates me because of you. How does it feel to know that I am going to prison because of you? How does it feel to have Juanjo make love to you the way I did?” Yameli pleads with him, but Charly forces her out of the trailer as he holds the knife close to her throat. Yameli asks him to think of his daughter, but Charly doesn’t think he has anything to lose…and forces her into the vehicle telling her to drive.
Inside, Juanjo congratulates everyone for a job well done. He meets up with Pati and his brother. They chat until Pati asks for Yameli; so Juanjo invites them to go celebrate with them since they are supposed to meet up at La Pecera. Elsewhere in the concert hall, Irma tells Erick that she is going to get a lawyer to help her get out of her contract with Charly. Erick is glad and offers to ask Juanjo for an attorney. After they watch as Juanjo is being teased by his siblings, Erick wonders where his mother is.
Sirens blast as Detective Bowtie enters the concert hall. Bowtie informs Juanjo that he has a warrant for Charly’s arrest…but no one has seen him. Irma was supposed to meet up with him, but she hasn’t seen him either. After Bowtie orders Olmedo to search the premises, Erick shares that Charly didn’t have a very good night and probably went home. Bowtie informs them that Charly is not home; and they have the place under surveillance. They then go look for Juanjo and Yameli to see if they know anything.
Ep 77: Part 4 Defeated, Defamed and Desperate
Serg and Vanessa arrive at Serg’s house. Vanessa comments about her father not being able to improvise…and he was acting strange. As she talks, Charly calls her, He calmly tells her that he is going on a trip…with the man she saw him with. He then asks her that, if the cops ask her if she knows where he is or if she has talked to him, to tell them she knows nothing…because they are looking for him and he doesn’t want things to get more complicated. Vanessa tries to tell him what she did, but Charly interrupts and tells her that his attorney advised him to leave the country. He doesn’t know how long he will be gone; he just wants her to know that he loves her and asks her to confide in him…he wants to prove that he is innocent. They continue to talk as Vanessa cries--What are you going to resolve? -I’m going to look for proof. --I have to tell you something…about the gun…I gave it to Contreras. -Why did you do that, my love? --I need you to tell me the truth! Why did you have my mother’s cellphone; did you have something to do with my mother’s death? -Of course not! You know I am innocent! Why did you betray me? Did Yameli brainwash you? --Dad, we can solve this together…I love you! After Charly hangs up on Vanessa, he forces Yameli out of the car as she tells him that she can explain. Vanessa cries as she thinks she has ruined everything…her father hates her. As Charly pushes Yameli to walk forward, Yameli pleads with him and asks where he is taking her…
“Defeated, Defamed and Desperate” was creative and compelling. Your title could not have been more fitting or descriptive.
“Charly, who is now among the crowd, looks up at Erick knowing he has been defeated and defamed by his own son”. Perfect Rgv Chick – simply perfect.
You created sheer magic last night and I admit I was totally spellbound. I drank in every word of your recap, eagerly and fully. Sensational and mesmerizing.
“Juanjo won’t lose any time trying to explain about love to Charly because, throughout his whole life, Charly has only loved himself”. Finally, we hear our own musings on Charly’s lack of soul uttered out loud.
Erick could not have masterminded any sweeter revenge than to expose Charly for the fraud that he is. Dissed and embarrassed, he was vulnerable and exposed.
“He wants to know--how does it feel to know that my wife being killed because of you… “How does it feel to know that my daughter hates me because of you. How does it feel to know that I am going to prison because of you? How does it feel to have Juanjo make love to you the way I did?” Although he is clearly responsible for his world crashing down around him, there is an unsettling bit of truth among the accusations. Yameli cannot be fully exonerated in Diana’s death. The truth whether we like it or not is that Diana would likely be alive today if Yameli did not return.
Charly seemed shocked Vanesa had betrayed him but after seeing the safe empty, did he simply think she stashed them elsewhere?
The concert was fun and although I was thrilled to have Axel come into his own, wished he had a better song. Also, where was Chris? As Judy’s noted, Irma sounded great – she is always a stellar performer.
I cringed when Axel confronted Charly as to the fact he might go to the police. Charly was not to be trifled with and I was glad he did not have any sharp objects at that point.
What I love about this show is the small details. Ligia, getting her groove on while watching the performance. Irma’s father, coffee cup in hand, tears in his eyes and he likely struggled to recognize his daughter is launching into stardom. Ligia and Irma’s father enjoying the show together. And also, Ligia’s hurt heart watching Charly struggle onstage.
Lambda Garcia was a revelation last night. Every tic, facial expression and emotion clearly on display. I hope he wins an award for this. He richly deserves it.
What an amazing story. What an amazing recap. Rgv Chick, your summary was sublime.
I will be back after more have the chance to comment. Rgv Chick, you’ve outdone yourself.
Diana
Terrific title Rgv Chick and thanks for providing the translation of "achichincle". It was clear from Axel's reaction that it was a very derogatory term, but I was just too lazy to look it up last night.
I actually was surprised that Erick deliberately humiliated Charly and showed him up publicly for the musical fraud that he is. He surely must have known that Charly would not be able to rise to the occasion. But up until now, Erick has been kinder than that.Still, given all Charly's crimes it's clear that his lack of creative musical talent is by far the least serious. And of course this was Erick's way of defending his mom against Charly's mistreatment of her over the years.
Also appreciate you translating part of the rap. I have to admit, when they start singing, I relax and say, Good, there's some dialogue I don't have to handle. But of course Erick's words were key to how he was feeling about his father at that moment.
Looks like the conclusion to this is going to be very dramatic indeed. So far, it's been a first-rate production and has had first-rate recappers with you and Diana. Just wish we could have more great shows at the 8 pm hour instead of these late now things.
Thanks so much tireless lady!
Ari and Temo talk on the phone. Ari asks if he has talked to Ubaldo . He says he has asked him if he loves his family but doesn’t know what to believe. Mateo comes to get him because Ubaldo want to talk to his campaign group.
UbakdoUbaldo addresses his campaign group hoping that today he will be the winner. Diego is all smiles. Soledad stands dutifully but somberly; not focused on anything almost like a zombie.
Later that day, Thiago and Mateo gets to it in the hall when Mateo asks Thiago “the influencer” if he is planning on making fun of his family again. Thiago says after talking earlier to Ari now it all makes sense why Mateo didn’t want to study with his sister. (Hmmmm . . . something left on the cutting room floor????) It was because of Mateo himself who is envious and wants attention. He makes sure nobody else is happy when he doesn’t get it. He wants everyone to be as miserable as he is. He needs to accept that he doesn’t like his life and he will end up all alone. Thiago pities him. As he walks away, Thiago adds that he knows why his sister hates him.For once Mateo does not have a comeback.
Soledad needs to talk to Ubaldo alone in private.
As they wait for the votes to be counted., Diego thanks Temo for whatever he told his father. He kissed and hugged him. Temo hopes Ubaldo fulfills all of his promises.
Nora checks her phone and Dora asks her what she is doing. Nora says only checking the news. Dora thinks it is all bad news and adds she hopes Soledad changes her mind or Ubakdo will go crazy.
In a hallway, Soledad tells Ubaldo she doesn’t want to be with him anymore because he scares her. He reminds her he promised he was going to change. She tells him she is beginning divorce proceeding as ASAP and he angrily grabs her by her arm He threatens her if she does with taking everything away from her and making sure she never sees Diego again in her life. Temo walks by and stops as he witnesses the intimidation. The argument stops and Ubaldo puts on his fake face and “happy” talks about he election as he greets Temo. The problem is that Temo knows what he saw. and doesn’t want to be there. Ubaldo says they are going to be celebrating. Temo says If Ubaldo wins it will be no victory for him.
At the kids’ apartment, Carlota is talking to Ari about the Andrés video disappearing. Ari says it wasn’t him or Temo and Diego doesn’t know about it yet. Carlota wonders if it was Ubaldo.
Mateo is angrily walking somewhere.
Carlota remembers there was an electrician in the apartment; a Nero somebody who Diego was supervising. Suddenly the lights go off. (I could say as if on cue, but it was on cue. Too funny) They turn their flashlights on their phones on and go to investigate. Mateo enters the apartment property.
As the interview continues with Oleg and Elsa, the journalist announces that the election has been won.
Ubaldo is celebrating with his staff at his campaign headquarters.
Carlota and Ari slowly search the apartment. They hear a noise and Carlota sees someone she recognizes and asks “You?” We see a window from the outside through it we see a flash as we hear a muffled shot.
Thank you, Rgv Chick.
Music and performing was a big part of this show and it is fitting that it closes with a concert. The concert where Charly was not the star, and the moments he was on stage, he would prefer to forget. I liked Axel singing but, like Diana, wished he had a better song. The stars of the concert were Eric and Irma. I especially liked their performance of "Bombón."
Charly was alone at the concert. Vanesa tried to keep her distance. He came, had an argument with: Irma, Axel, Yamelí, Juanjo, (on stage) Eric. "Defeated, Defamed and Desperate."
Did they notify the lawyer of the murder suspect that the warrant for his arrest was issued?
RGV Chick: Looking forward to seeing the Gran Final tonight.
It appears we're going to see a bloodthirsty fallout here as Charly will try to kill Yameli.
Lucio: I'm assuming Bratty Vanessa figured out her Daddy whacked her Mommy ?
Elsa continues to tell the interviewer and the audience that Ubaldo has won and has managed to manipulate them all.
Ubaldo is toasting and enjoying his win. Soledad looks ill as she stands beside him and the crowd cheers him on.
Oleg adds that it is their responsibility to show everyone the truth and they will be doing that until their last days.
Carlota is lying on the floor and Ari is pleading with someone not to shoot him but then we hear two shots and see a bullet pierce some decorative glass on the wall behind Ari.
The interview and celebration go on.
On his way walking home, Temo gets a call. He calls for an ambulance and goes running home.
Mateo drops the gun and is very upset. He tries to help Ari. Ari can only ask for Temo. Mateo tells him to hang on. Temo arrives and throws Mateo on the floor away from Ari. He asks what did he do to him. Temo tries to take care of Ari. Carlota is unconscious. Mateo is sitting and crying. Ari manages to tell Temo that he only wanted to see him and little Arqui. He then falls unconscious. Temo can only scream: No!
Back at the campaign headquarters, Ubaldo is telling Diego and the rest of his family how from today on they to stay very much united.
Ubaldo asks his secretary where Mateo and Temo are. She doesn’t know. He doesn’t know why they are not there celebrating. Dora reminds him the important thing is that he won. Diego gets a call from Temo telling him about the shooting. Diego asks who did it. Diego will tell everyone and meet him at the hospital. Ubaldo asks him what is going on. Diego informs him that Temo called to tell him Mateo shot Carlota and Ari. Everyone is shocked.
Elsa and Oleg leave the interview. She is upset because now with his win, Ubaldo will have more power than ever. She wants Carlota to hand in her documentary she was a king about him and quit working for him. Hearing that. Oleg tells her he has something very important to tell her but it has to be in private. Elsa gets a phone call from Soledad telling her about Carlota.
Carlota and Ari arrive at the hospital with Temo.
Back at the apartment, the forensic team is at work as the police get a statement from Mateo. Mateo sits in tears looking at the blood on his hands as he remembers shooting Carlota and Ari. Dora and Nora arrive. The police inform them they cannot be there. Dora says they are the owners. Nora corrects her saying the real wonder is Ubaldo Ortega their brother. That doesn't work with the police officer in charge. They need to leave so they can examine the crime scene.
A welcome comic interlude: We see delicious food and we know we are back in Oaxaca where Pancho is out for supper with Lupita and Julio. He has a “Panchopresa” (Pancho surprise) for them. He gets up and tells all the kids in the restaurant that he is going to be a magician just for today. The customers and their kids play along with him. He has a surprise. He spins around and suddenly he is dressed like a magician. He entertains everyone with a series of magic tricks.
Back at the hospital,Temo is telling a nurse he will give them every drop of blood if they need it for Ari. She tells him that there is a restriction on blood donations from homosexuals. That triggers Temo. They have the same rights as everyone else. Elsa and Oleg interrupt the confrontation since they are the first adults to arrive. Temo tells them that both Ari and Carlota are in surgery. Ari got shot in the heart. Ari needs blood. Oleg will volunteer. Elsa tells Ari she lost a child and she swears they will not lose the people that they love so much. Ubaldo and Soledad arrive next with Diego. Oleg explains that Carlota and Ari were the victims of an attack. They were shot by Mateo who works for Ubaldo. Ubaldo asks if he is insinuating something. Oleg is making it clear that the guy behind this cowardly plan works for him. Ubaldo says he will be sure that the guilty one pays. They start to argue and Soledad puts an end to that. They need to think about the children. Oleg stalks off.
Thank you, Jarifa. I only have a minute , so I will return later to comment more , but OMG...I cannot believe how dark this show has become. Ugh. No escapism here.
Pancho’s magic show is cut short when he gets a call from Temo.
Dora and Nora will babysit little Arqui and Polilla as Eduardo goes to the hospital. He tells little Arqui that he is going to check on a friend. Nora gets a text from her long lost love asking her to meet at their place. Nora texts her that she cannot meet her today.
Back at the hospital, it so happens that Ubaldo has O negative blood and will be able to donate to Ari. He tells Temo his novio will be saved. Temo thanks him. Ubaldo says it is the least he can do since Pancho put his life in his hands here in Mexico City. Elsa is with Soledad and is upset because she is not getting any information about Carlota. Why would Mateo shoot her? Soledad tells her the police are investigating it all. Elsa cannot help but think back to when she was told her son was dead. Life cannot take her daughter from her, too.
In surgery, the bullets are removed from Carlota and Ari.
Oleg gives blood thinking back on telling Carlota he would always be there for her. When Ubaldo comes into donate, Oleg wants to know why he is there. Ubaldo explains he is donating for Ari.
During surgery:
Ari is at home and he looking for his mother. He sees her slicing vegetables and asks her if she wants him to stay with her. He is full of joy to see her. Carlota sees her brother Andrés playing his keyboard in his room. He has not idea what she is doing there. She says they just sent her there. Ari comes into the room asking if anyone has seen his mom. Ari sits down. Andrés thanks him from the bottom of his heart for taking care of his sister. Ari admits that he doesn’t know why any of this is happening. Andrés admits to not knowing what is going on very well either. Andrés thinks it is very soon for him and Carlota to be together. Carlota asks if they are in the hereafter. She almost says they are all dead but doesn’t finish her sentence. She asks Andrés what happens to him. Did Ubaldo kill him?
As they are donating blood, Oleg fells Ubaldo that he had something to do with this attack, if something happens to either of the kids , he will make sure that he pays with his life. Ubaldo warns him about the serious accusations he is making. He is completely innocent. He could never hurt Carlota or Ari. Oleg brings up Andrés. Ubaldo insists he loved him like a son. Oleg says he has put him on notice.
At the police station, Mateo is informed that his finger prints were found on the gun. Mateo feels admits to having fired it.
Everyone is in the waiting room at the hospital. Thiago comes in and asks Temo is there is any new about Carlota. Temo shakes his head. Time drags on. Around 1:30 in the morning, Papancho arrives. He tells Temo that today is the day they need to believe in magic.
Oleg and Elsa sit and cry and pray in the hospital chapel. Oleg feels like God is going to help them this time. Elsa still cannot understand why Mateo attacked them. They did nothing to him. Oleg tells her that he thinks that Ubaldo was behind the attack. She asks why? He finally tells Elsa that he discovered that Ubaldo and Carlota were having an affair. Elsa is beyond shocked. She cannot believe that. He says Carlota will explain it all to her and her reasoning when she is better. Elsa refuses to believe Carlota could do that.
The surgeon comes out to tell them that after surgery, Carlota and Ari have been stabilized but that Ari is still in critical condition.
Post-op as they are in their rooms but still somewhere else:
Ari asks Andrés if they are in another reality. Andrés says that they are in his reality. Ari asks if that means they are going to o die.Andrés does not know. Carlota tells Andrés that their dad knows the truth. She is sure he mustn’t have told their mother. Ari wants to know why he cannot see his mother. He just wants to hug her. Andrés says they might not be in the same place. Carlota asks Andrés if he took his own life.
Thank you Diana, Judyb, and Lucio for your generous remarks and thoughts on last night's events.
Diana, "What I love about this show is the small details. Ligia, getting her groove on while watching the performance. Irma’s father, coffee cup in hand, tears in his eyes and he likely struggled to recognize his daughter is launching into stardom. Ligia and Irma’s father enjoying the show together. And also, Ligia’s hurt heart watching Charly struggle onstage." Thank you for highlighting those small, but critical details which showed two parents enjoying the success of their children...though one of the parents had to witness the downfall of the other son. Even te smallest of details were well portrayed by the actors.
JudyB, "I actually was surprised that Erick deliberately humiliated Charly and showed him up publicly for the musical fraud that he is." That was definitely a surprise. I was also surprised tha Chalry stood among the crowd and not backstage trying to get into the limelight somehow. Well, he did get into the limelight, but I don't think he suspected tha he was going to get burned. I have to hand it to Chalry; he did keep his coll up on stages...all for his fans (blech).
Lucio, "Did they notify the lawyer of the murder suspect that the warrant for his arrest was issued?" If you are referring to Carolina, yes, she was informed and she warned Charly about it; and she did advise him to give himself up.
Steve, we are all looking forward to tonight...and yes, it does look like Charly will try to kill Yameli....again.
Anon 10:17, you are correct; in the end, Charly was responsible for Diana's murder. I think what others are conveying is that if Yameli had not returned with her "justice" plan, Charly's family would be in tact and continuing with their lives...pretentious as it was. Oh and even Monchis would be alive and extorting people in addition to taunting his family. Sheesh, when I put it that way, I can see that Yameli's return was necessary.
Right now, Soledad only wants their daughter to survive. She wonders if it was their fault that Carlota would do something so incorrect. She starts to wonder why their family has to suffer so much. She now blames him for not telling her about Carlota and Ubaldo. She then wonders how Carlota could do that to Soledad. Oleg tells her that Carlota had a very strong reason for doing what she did. He FINALLY tells her that Carlota thought Ubaldo was responsible for the death of their son.
Temo amd Pancho walk the hospital halls. Temo knows that life has been very generous with them but also very hard. He talks about when he was born, Rebeca, then Polita just when they all were so happy. Pancho is sure they have angels in heaven on their side who will help them again. Pancho reminds him that faith is what you rely on for support. Pancho tells him that “heart to heart” he understands him. He has had to say goodbye to the loves of his life. He continues that Temo’s Papancho is not letting things go. They are going to find out exactly what happened and why they were attacked. Pancho will be staying with him until Ari and Carlota recuperate. The doctors will do there thing and he and Temo will do theirs. Temo needs to push Ari towards life by communicating with him through that very special connection he has with Ari Pancho knows that it hasn’t been easy for Temo and Ari but today they are going to defeat death. He tells his son to resist and not give up because he Pancho needs him way too much. They hug.
As little Arqui sleeps on her lap, Dora asks Nora what happened here in their very home. It made her think back to something that happened to their sister Flora. Nora says that the new renters brought lot of joy but also anguish. Dora what hate to think it is a punishment for their past. They have to try to be happy for little Arqui. He wakes up asking for Ari.
Back on another plane
Ari tells Carlota and Andrés that little Arqui and Temo need him. Carlota says that someone is talking to her . They are telling her to go. She doesn’t have any more time. Andrés and Carlota tell each other how much they love each other and their parents and how much their parents love then. Andrés wants to see them all together to be the family they once were. They hug and Carlota leaves. Ari asks where Carlota went and why he wasn’t called. Andrés tells him to calm down.
Elsa is angry and tells Oleg that Ubaldo is going to find out what a mother like her, who will do anything for her children, is like. She will kill him. Oleg reminds her that they are not killers. Now they need to pray to God to save their daughter. He gives her hope and consoles her.
Ubaldo tells Pancho that he failed because he didn’t take care of Temo and Ari like he had promised to do. Pancho tells him it wasn’t his fault. He is going to head down to the police station and find out why Mateo tried to kill them. He tells Ubaldo that he won’t be alone because he has decided to live right there. Ubaldo tries to talk him out of coming. Ubaldo will look after things. He has a life and a wife in Oaxaca. Pancho simply states that it is evident Temo needs him here now.
Soledad and Diego console Temo promising to be there for him. Temo needs it. Elsa and Oleg emerge from the chapel. Ubaldo and Pancho appear. Ubaldo is going to the Police to see what is going on. He tells Temo to be sure he goes down there to give his statement. He tells Soledad to go with him. She tells I’m she doesn’t want to. She is staying to support her fiend and the children. Soledad tells Diego they have to talk. Elsa tells Soledad how much she loves her and that she must not go back on her plan to divorce Ubaldo.
The surgeon brings Oleg and Elsa to see their now conscious daughter who remembers everything that happened.

The previous post with the last few sentences was the end and Part 5
What an episode! I really enjoyed the Pancho magic show and all of the scenes In the “great beyond.”
Susanlynn, autocorrect made my life miserable this morning. ; )
Jarifa, you are a champ bringing us all this detail. Gracias.
Two innocents shot buy a deranged person. This is too much. The switch of scenes to all the great food and Pancho entertaining the kids at the restaurant was a breath of fresh air. Julio looked a bit annoyed though when his pop first stood up to do his magic, but he did warm up. He's seems to be getting to that age when kids think their parents are an embarrassment.
Ari wants to know why he cannot see his mother. He just wants to hug her. Andrés says they might not be in the same place. Carlota asks Andrés if he took his own life.
Maybe Andres did commit suicide? Hmmm, if so, are they indicating he's not in heaven? That was unexpected.
Again, a TN character drives me loca in a medical emergency. Honestly, Temo's crying and wailing -- and not calling the medics -- basta!
Thanks, Rgv Chick. I've only seen ending snippets of Reina, but last night I was able to watch the entire episode. With your vivid recap, I think I know almost who everybody is.
When Erik and Charly were on stage I thought Erik was innocently trying to share some freestyling with his dad and didn't realize that his father doesn't have the chops to come up with lyrics on the fly. But reading the comments, I see he deliberately set up his horrible dad.
"Still, given all Charly's crimes it's clear that his lack of creative musical talent is by far the least serious. And of course this was Erick's way of defending his mom against Charly's mistreatment of her over the years" was spot on Judy! While I was surprised Erick did it as well, he loves his mother and he did it for Yameli. If there was any lingering doubt as to whether Charly had any composing ability, it was quickly extinguished.
"Well, he did get into the limelight, but I don't think he suspected tha he was going to get burned. I have to hand it to Charly" was great Rgv Chick.
Niecie, really sorry you weren't with us for this. It's been a great ride.
And thank you for your perfect explanation to Anon as to why Yameli does share some responsibility for Diana's death.
Diana
Yameli is, on the other hand, responsible for Monchis' death. She shouldn't have been at his bedside in the state he was in. Rizzo had very poor judgment.
Niecie, yes, Julio did look annoyed and probably for the reason you gave. Those kids are growing. It was so typical Osorio with the worst of the worst juxtaposed with an endearing and charming magic show.
As for Temo, he did call an ambulance as he was running back to the house. I had to go back and check that myself.
I wasn't aware that Erick was deliberately setting Charly up to fail at that song off, but it makes sense. This young actor is doing an amazing job of making me believe in the sweetsouled Erick. What a wonderful, loving young man. I completely believe how much he loves and respects his mother. Any mother would be proud to have Erick for a son.
And the guy playing arrogant, conceited, amoral Charly is consistently hitting it out of the park.
When Charly was holding the knife in Yam , I thought it looked like she could have put up more of a fight after all the prison fights she endured. P.s. I liked Yam's hairdo. With her hair back like that, you could really see her pretty face. Oh...that sounded just like my mother !
Can't wait for tonight. I am starting to think that Charly will not be going to prison. He is desperate and panicky....maybe he will die like his monster of a mentor Monchis and Tono in a gunfight with the police .
I know there's no one recapping this but from prior discussion I see a few folks are watching it...including myself. While it's a little slow...it's actually a good TN.
I have a question for anyone who's watching and can answer. I know that Vildan and Leyla are sisters...but am I correct...Vildan is not the mother of Nihan even though Vildan's pregnancy halted Leyla's marriage? I vaguely remember 2 different occasions where it was discussed that Vildan is not her mom...so who is...is it Leyla some how? Was it part of he bargain for her keeping the family home and not having a child out of wedlock? Or do I have it all wrong?
BTW, this is my 3rd Turkish TN. I find them all to be visually appealing. Istanbul has to be a beautiful place and I can't wait to visit.

GRAN FINAL: Part 1 The Power of Forgiveness
There are razor sharp differences between emotions that are inextricably linked. There is a thin line between Love and Hate. Obsession and Love. Reality and illusion.
Nowhere is there more of an inherent struggle than within the mind and heart of a true narcissist.
As his future, his freedom, and indeed his life flashes before him, Charly dances on the razor’s edge, teetering on the edge of insanity as he prepares for his fall into the precipice.
Diana
Charly has taken Yameli to an isolated house and orders her to continue walking up the stairs. He then tells her to stop and stay still. Yameli tries to talk some sense into Charly telling him that everything is over now, but things won’t end until Charly says so; he still has to make her pay. Yameli asks him to think of his children; he can still make things right…they have both made mistakes, but they can solve everything together. Charly tells her to shut up and works his hand down to lift her dress as he kisses her. Yameli calmly tells him that they can start over. After Charly asks if he is supposed to trust her, he grabs her by her hair and slaps her hard sending her to the floor and adds that he will never again trust her.
At the concert hall, Erick calls Lijia to ask if Charly is there or if she has heard from him. Lijia wonders if something happened, but Erick only tells her that all is well and to call him if she hears from Charly. After the Erick, Juanjo and Contreras watch the video that shows Charly forcing Yameli away with a knife at her throat, Erick calls Vanessa to ask if she has heard from her father. Vanessa denies hearing from Charly and quickly hangs up, but Erick knows that she is protecting Charly.
At the mountain home, Charly wakes Yameli and asks her why she ruined his life. Yameli responds—You destroyed my life. -I destroyed your life? You lied to me. You humiliated me. You made me fall in love with you. –You made me fall in love with you; you got me pregnant. You left me in prison for 17 years. -17 years in prison so that they wouldn’t kill you!. –Who? -My Uncle Monchis. –Why didn’t you go to the cops. Why did you leave me there for 17 years while you made yourself into the $%*# Charly Flow. Charly then tells Yameli that he wants to make a video so that she can declare that she did everything because of her obsession and desire for vengeance. Yameli again asks him to think of Vanessa who deserves to know the truth about what happened to her mother. Charly is insistent that she shut up and start making the statement for the video. After Yameli states her name and adds that Charly has her tied, Charly yells at her and slaps her hard. He asks if she wants to die; so Yameli tells him to go ahead and kill her…it won’t do him any good.
At Serg’s house, Vanessa is sitting at the table surrounded by Erick, Irma, Juanjo and Contreras. Erick pleads with her to help him; her father took his mother with a knife to her throat. After Vanessa insists that her father wants to make things right, Contreras tells her that they confirmed that the gun she gave him was the one used to kill Marlene. Vanessa cries as Juanjo urges her to tell them what her father told her. Vanessa finally tells them that Charly told her that he was leaving the country as per his lawyer’s advice. Contreras assures them that he can’t leave since all the roads and exits are blocked. When Juanjo asks Vanessa where her father could have gone, Vanessa tells them about Reflejo, a mountain home they have where Charly goes when he wants to be alone.
GRAN FINAL: Part 2 The Power of Forgiveness
At the mountain home, Charly listens to the news on TV as the charges against him are announced and that he is on the run. Charly kicks the TV and tells Yameli to sit still. After he unties her, Yameli tries to hit him, but he grabs her and forces her onto the chair once more. Yameli apologizes and tells him that she will say whatever he wants. She will do it for Ericka and Vanessa…she will say that he is innocent, but Charly doesn’t believe her. He pulls out the blade and puts it into her mouth. Meanwhile the cops have arrived and start surrounding the place. Charly hears the sirens and grabs Yameli forcing her downstairs as he holds the knife to her throat. Once downstairs, Charly tells the cops to put their weapons down. After Contreras gives the order to appease Charly, Charly drags Yameli outside despite being told that he is surrounded and there I snow a out. Juanjo yells out to Charly, “Don’t do anything stupid!” Charly yells back, “Stupidities?? Stupid was you getting into my life and getting involved with the broad that was mine before she was yours, idiot!” Erick then approaches Charly and asks him to think of Vanessa. Seeing that he is distracted, Yameli bites Charly’s arm; and when he yells out in pain, she punches him hard knocking him to the ground. As the police surround Charly, Yameli runs and grabs a pistol and points it at Charly’s head. Erick approaches slowly and looks at her as he calls to her, “Mama.” Yameli turns to Erick and thinks, “This vengeance has brought me much pain. Now I choose forgiveness. I forgive you. And I set you free now and forever, Charly Flow.” Yameli slowly puts down the gun and collapses to the ground tired and emotionally spent. Charly is arrested as Juanjo and Erick embrace Yameli. Before being put in the vehicle, Charly looks back at the three huddled together.
Two Years Later—
At their home, Yameli and Eric stand before pictures of Yameli’s parents and grandmother as they light candles. Yameli knows that they would have loved Erick immensely. Her grandmother would have shown him how to dance salsa; and her parents would have cooked his favorite dishes.
Jose tells Irma that it has been two years that he has been sober and now he has been offered a promotion. Later, he is going to see Ligia. Irma teases him and asks him to take care of LIgia and to pamper her since she deserves it. Irma is very proud of her father and loves him very much.
At Surround Vibes, Juanjo tells Axel that they are going to Europe. Axel, who is very excited, thanks Juanjo; had he known that his music career was not impossible, he would have left the bad company much sooner.
Reporter Mike reports on the tragic downfall of Charly’s career. Charly has lost everything because of his bad decisions and mistakes. In the courtroom, Mora gives testimony about the money laundering. Axel also describes how he would go take money out of the bank and take it to Charly...but he had nothing to do with anything else. An accountant reports that a total of two hundred million pesos was involved in the laundering.
GRAN FINAL: Part 3 The Power of Forgiveness
Charly is in his small cell when a guard comes to tell him that he has a visitor…the same one as always. Obviously having been beat up, Charly goes to see his mother who cries at the sight of his scarred and bruised face. This is how his days are now. Lijia thinks he is there because of her; he was always walking down the wrong paths, but she never wanted to see it…and she brought Monchis into their home. When she asks for his forgiveness, Charly tells her that he has nothing to forgive…he is responsible for his actions; his mistakes are his only and she had nothing to do with it. Lijia trusted in the fact that he liked music and she is sorry. Charly asks for Vanessa; so Lijia tells him that she is beautiful, but she won’t be returning anytime soon. Charly hasn’t seen his little girl in two years… and the last time he saw her, he knew he would never see her again. Charly sobs as he recalls--Vanessa comes to see him in prison and asks him why he did it before calling him a murderer. Charly swears that he didn’t kill her mother, but Vanesa will never know since he is a man full of lies. After Charly again swears that he did not kill Diana, Vanessa asserts that what she does know is that he wanted to hurt her mother when she found out what he was doing at Luxor, he tried to kill Yameli, and he killed a woman. She asks, “Why?” Charly replies that he did it for her because he loves her, but Vanessa doesn’t want to hear him anymore. She swore to herself that if she came to see him, she would not believe anything he had to say; and she would not allow him to fill her head with hatred. After all he did, she cannot forgive him. Charly pleads with her not to say that and tries to hold her as Vanessa tells him to forget about her. The guards come in and pull him away as Charly continues to beg Vanessa to forgive him. Charly asks Lijia to tell Vanessa that he loves her…with all his heart. He thanks Lijia for being there and not leaving him alone. Lijia cries as she tells him that she will always be with him. Erick’s song about the family and not wanting to be alone plays as Lijia leaves distraught and Charly is taken back and walks through a hallway filled with inmates who harass and taunt him. Once in his cell, Charly falls to his knees and cries.
At their home, Irma hands over Juancito to Yameli who tells the little boy that he looks more like his mother everyday. After Irma and Erick take Juancito outside, Yameli comments to Juanjo that she is glad Wendy finally allowed them to spend some time with Juancito. Once everyone is outside, Juanjo proposes a toast for the family. Lidia smiles as Jose sits beside her. Erick adds that it should be for the concert; and Vanessa wants to toast for the outfits that she and Serg prepared. After Juanjo tells Yameli that he will have a surprise for her at the concert. Erick removes his sunglasses to give his mother a loving look which she returns.
GRAN FINAL: Part 4 The Power of Forgiveness
Later that night at the concert, Yameli admits to Erick that she is nervous. Juanjo tells Erick that he is up next.. and he tells Yameli to tear up the stage. Erick and Yameli perform their song about being together, moving forward and enjoying their time which has come. Afterwards, Juanjo takes the stage and nervously asks the love of his life to join him. After he tells her that she taught him not to lose faith, to believe in himself and to conquer his fears, he announces that he will be singing in public for the first time. After he sings a few verses, he introduces Carlos Vives who joins them from Colombia. The crowd goes wild as Carlos is shown on the big screen and congratulates Juanjo and announces to Yameli that he an Juanjo wrote the song together for her. Juanjo continues to sing with Carlos joining him as clips of Yameli and Juanjo’s precious moments together flash on the screen.. As the song finishes, Juanjo and Yameli are carried through the frenzied dancing crowd of fans and family.
FIN
And so ends our story. Yameli has found her justice, her son, and someone to love. A family has been destroyed while another flourishes; dreams have been destroyed while others are realized; people have been hurt; others died; a child is motherless…the price of justice was indeed high.
When words convey emotions so clearly and beautifully that you actually feel them, you in the presence of greatness.
Such was my experience in reading your perfectly articulated and heartfelt summary.
Your title was wonderful and as enthralling as the summary was, I must submit your final words as they touched my heart:
"And so ends our story. Yameli has found her justice, her son, and someone to love. A family has been destroyed while another flourishes; dreams have been destroyed while others are realized; people have been hurt; others died; a child is motherless…the price of justice was indeed high". Extraordinary.
"A family has been destroyed while another flourishes" hit a bit too close to home for me and has been one of the more troubling aspects for me.
"Charly then tells Yameli that he wants to make a video so that she can declare that she did everything because of her obsession and desire for vengeance". Obsession, real and imagined has permeated this story throughout.
"As the police surround Charly, Yameli runs and grabs a pistol and points it at Charly’s head. Erick approaches slowly and looks at her as he calls to her, “Mama.” Yameli turns to Erick and thinks, “This vengeance has brought me much pain. Now I choose forgiveness. I forgive you. And I set you free now and forever, Charly Flow.” To her credit, Yameli has ascended to a higher level and forgiven her tormenter. Others were not as fortunate to have that opportunity.
Forgiveness did not flourish everywhere: "She swore to herself that if she came to see him, she would not believe anything he had to say; and she would not allow him to fill her head with hatred. After all he did, she cannot forgive him. Charly pleads with her not to say that and tries to hold her as Vanessa tells him to forget about her". I hope those words and actions do not come back to haunt Vanessa. By forgiving Charly, she would have freed her heart to move through life unencumbered by his sins. When we forgive, we can begin to heal our hurt hearts by forgetting the lingering anger.
"Yameli comments to Juanjo that she is glad Wendy finally allowed them to spend some time with Juancito". Umm, really? "Finally allowed THEM". I find the fact Wendy allowed her son to go to another country to see her father and the woman he left her for very generous. Also, did anyone else find it strange that it was Irma holding Juancito the entire time?
I'm still trying to process as to exactly how i feel about the finale. As the rather passionless love story here was peripheral at best, having the ending in a concert setting made sense.
I admit that I was very surprised at Charly's emotional state at the end. He went in like a lion and out like a lamb. He seemed to be an empty shell. If he had raged and spewed hatred, it would have been much easier for Ligia to handle than the rather subdued, broken man, her son, that she saw. While love for his daughter and appreciation for his mother was apparent, I did not see any sign that he accepted his culpability. And while I did not feel pity for Charly, it was in abundance for Ligia. I wonder if any mother can truly abandon a child and Ligia will not do so for him. The saddest moment was Ligia walking out of the prison, her grief cutting through her like a knife. I am relieved she has a new love to comfort her.
There were many shades of gray in most of the characters, Yameli and especially Juanjo in particular. I never really felt totally behind each one, either as a person or as the lead couple. Perhaps this was a bit too realistic. After all, no one is perfect. I guess I prefer my TNs that way though. A perfect, pure and devoted love is always the ultimate.
While the story may not have been perfect, your sweet summaries have sustained, nourished and uplifted our minds and hearts Rgv Chick.
This truly was your finest recap yet. Thank you for steering this ship into its final journey with such heart and dedication.
Diana
Judy for fitting recapping into their busy lives to give the patio wonderful recaps. I loved this show and loved sharing it with the folks here at caray. Loved the music, the acting, and a few brief moments of Marcelo Cordoba on my tv screen.
I liked seeing the family all sharing a meal outside. In the Alborada finale, the whole cast (and friends and real family) had a huge outdoor party and lots of happy endings, marriages, and new babies. It is my favorite finale of all time.
Diana,I, too, was surprised to see Irma carrying the little boy around . You would think that Juanjo would want to hold onto him every second if he only sees him occasionally. But...you know...it's juanjo.
I have to admit that seeing Charly beaten, broken, and doomed made me uncomfortable and feeling sorry for him. I hate to see anybody suffering. People are formed by their circumstances , and when Monchis killed his brother and took over his family, Charly's fate was sealed.
Well, thanks again to Diana, Chickie, and Judyb , our wonderful , dedicated recappers for all the time, effort, and talent that gave to provide us with recaps . Those recaps and a chance to discuss this show gave me a bright spot in my days these last months. I am hoping that another good show follows this one soon. I would hate to lose contact with you all. I
I hope that all our caraymates in Dorian's path will be safe.
"Diana,I, too, was surprised to see Irma carrying the little boy around . You would think that Juanjo would want to hold onto him every second if he only sees him occasionally. But...you know...it's juanjo". That was just priceless Susanlynn.
Thank you for being such a vibrant, vocal and integral part of our small patio. Your comments were such a boost and truly appreciated.
Wishing you sunshine today and yes, safety for all those in danger of the hurricane.
Diana
OT ...I saw comments from Nina here, but has anyone heard from Kirby ? I have been watching Dorian's path.
I will definitely look for the actors who played Charly and Erick in upcoming shows, and they deserve awards for their outstanding performances . I must look up and remember their names.
Thank you, Rgv Chick, for the last chapter recap and all the wonderful recaps of this story.
It was a satisfying ending with Charly getting his punishment and Yamelí moving forward with her life.
This was a good telenovela. It was dynamic, with realistic characters, full of music. I enjoyed it, rarely skipped scenes. Having the patio to share the impressions made it so much better. It lacked passionate love and had an inexpressive galán. In part it is because Yamelí had not thawed and opened up for love until the last third of the show.
Susanlynn, I had tried unsuccessfully to contact Kirby a few months ago. I believe he posted something on Mirada recently. Hoping he and others ride out the storm...
Lucio, dynamic is a great way to describe this TN which definitely had an "inexpressive galan". :)
Diana
Nihan watches Zeynep get out of Emir’s car. Within minutes she gets a phone call from Emir. She rejects it and decides to give him a taste of his own medicine.
Kemal is outside in his yard, speaking to Nihan’s father about the accident. He asks him if he really believes Emir wasn’t behind it all.
Soon enough Kemal is at dinner with his boss Hakim (?) and Asu. They are discussing how business is going along with Emir. Hakim knows Emir is a special case: that he takes everything, including business collaborations, as opportunities for competition. But Hakim is sure that the business will thrive with Kemal and Asu at the reins. Asu is his niece, and Hakim says that when he’s gone, she will inherit the company.
Emir starts asking the family where Nihan is. Neither Vildan nor her husband know where she is. Emir threatens to show them the incriminating video of Ozan again. Vildan asks her husband if he knows. He claims that even if he did, he wouldn’t tell Emir.
Ozan is in his room and gets questioned by Emir. “Why are you not doing your job?” Ozan responds asking if he should follow her around. Emir says “of course! That way we can always know what she is doing!”
Emir starts checking Nihan’s closets. Her clothes are all there. Her father enters, and dares ask Emir if he tried to kill him. Emir says he’s done with these silly games already. Her father claims he’s realized that he knows so little about Emir. He starts blackmailing Emir about his mother’s existence. What would everyone say? Emir says “You can’t blackmail me about my mother.” Nihan’s father claims “You’ve been doing it to us with our son.”
Emir goes to Kemal to ask where is Nihan. Kemal says “you don’t even know your wife.” Emir looks at him incredulously and asks “and you do?” Kemal suggests that Emir wont find her anywhere by asking others where she is. He suggests that Emir would know where Nihan is, if he knew who she was.
Leila and Kemal are speaking on the phone. They’re both entertained with Nihan’s disappearance and Emir’s search. Kemal contemplates where she may be.
Nihan is sitting alone at a cafe. She is having a memory: the time she went with Kemal to her favorite cafe and she penned a table with heir initials and a heart. She’s brought back to reality when Kemal appears and sits next to her, asking “Should we order a coffee?”
They are sitting on the same table from her memory years ago. The engraved initials and heart are still there.
Somewhere else in the city, Emir is still questioning people on Nihan’s whereabouts. He was asking her friend at some public outdoor seating area. when she doesn’t give him the answer he wants, he leaves and is losing his patience.
At the home, Nihan drives up to Emir. He demands she step out of the car. As soon as she does he does a forceful hug on her. Kemal is watching from his yard. Emir forcefully pulls her into the home and starts demanding to know where she was the entire time. She yells back that he’s not her owner. She demands that he leave Zeynep alone. “And what will you do if I don’t? Disappear for a few hours again?” Nihan intensely stares at him and says “Next time I won’t come back.”
In the bedroom Nihan asks if Emir remembers what he gave to her parents when he started blackmailing them. She gives him a small book and tells him to write everything down about his mother. He’s shocked, staring at her as she’s waiting for him to start writing.
Kemal is pacing in his living room, worried about Nihan. He steps out and goes to the neighbor’s yard, hoping to catch a glimpse of Nihan in her room.
Emir begins writing in Nihan’s book. She sits next to him on the bed. Kemal is soon outside her room, watching the spouses sitting next to each other on the bed. She catches him, and he has a hurtful look. He walks back to his home. He answers Leila’s phone call and she asks if he knows anything about Nihan. He says agitated that nothing happened to her, she was already home. He then asks Leila if she’s home. Soon enough he’s there with her. He can’t stop pacing around and it’s making Leila nervous. He admits that he’s jealous. He fixes her faucet. Leila sarcastically claims she needs his help putting some nails on the wall. He offers to help anyway. He goes to her living room and is putting the nails on the wall, picturing Nihan and Emir together in her bedroom. Leila claims he needs to accept that he’s still in love with Nihan. She knows that right now he can’t stand the idea of Emir being so close that he’s able to touch her. Kemal reflects on the time Nihan told him he was the love of her life, but then remembers a more recent time when she told him that he’s behaving the way he is (when he was cold and callous with revenge plans?) because he doesn’t know if she still has the same feelings for him.
The next night Kemal and Asu are in the back of a car. They enter Emir’s father’s home for a formal business party. Upon entering the living room Kemal and Nihan lock eyes.
I managed to watch the episode this time. Hope this helps.
Zeynep really has no shame, but Emir doesn't either as he's asking everyone for Nihan. He doesn't realize it makes him look weak and powerless, and makes people wonder what's wrong with the marriage.
Clara, I agree with you on the alien spaceship ringtone matching Emir. It's too funny for such a callous character.

At hospital, Soledad tells Diego she asked his father for or a divorce.
Ubaldo is in Mateo’s jail cell slamming him into the wall asking him how did he dare do what he did.
Temo cries and talks to Ari and begs him to come back. Ari squeezes his hand. Pancho goes for the doctor as Eduardo looks on.
On the other side of the veil:
Ari is trying to talk to Temo. He tells him he wants to come back to be with him.
The doctor comes in and examines Ari. Temo tells his dad that he would like just a little peace in this life. Pancho says he wishes life were much easier but each day is a sign that we are still alive and that we can still win. He this his Aristemo are going to be invincible. At the edge of life and death:
Andrés tells Ari that the answer to everything is in the beginning. Ari wonders about that.
Little Arqui politely asks that the dog stay. Nora smiles and agrees.Dora tries to find excuses for him not to stay but it is quickly evident that the dog is not going anywhere.
Ubaldo continues with his own up close and personal interrogation of Mateo. Since Mareo was so brave in wanting to hurt Carlota and Ari, Ubaldo wants to know why he did it.
At the hospital, Elsa gives Carlota an update. Mateo gave his statement to the police earlier. Carlota wants to know how Ari is. Elsa cannot understand why Mateo shot them. Carlota tells Elsa and Oleg that Mateo was not the shooter. We see a replay of what really happened. Ari and Carlota were searching through the Part net with a flashlight. They ran into the fixer guy who had a gun with a slender on it. Carlota asked in disbelief “You?”. The fixer guy shot her. She fell. Carlota says he shot her and she lost consciousness. Elsa asks where she knew the shooter from. She says he had been in their home after Andrés’ death. He had come to do some plumbing work a couple of years back.
At rhe jail, Mateo explains that he was going to confront Ari and the door of the apartment was open. Carlota was shot and already on the floor and Ari was begging the fixer guy not to shoot him when Mateo walked in from behind. After the fixer guy shot Ari, Mateo wrestled him to the floor and tried to get the gun that went off again and hit a mirror. Mateo finally got the gun and the fixer guy dropped to the floor. He tried to shoot the fixer guy. Evidently he didn’t do much if any damage because the fixer guy was up again fighting him for the gun. The fixer guy quickly gained control and beat Mateo to the floor. Mateo tells Ubaldo he was trying to defend Ari and Carlota. Ubaldo looks shocked .
Little Arqui, Mora and Dora wash the dog and everyone has fun.

She impresses on Diego that he is her pride and has been the most important thing to her since before the day he was born. She loves him but the time has come for her to take these steps. She cannot wait. They love each other.
Ubaldo says that he believes Mateo and promises to get him out of jail. Mateo cannot stop thinking about Ari and Carlota. Uabldo assure him that both Ari and Carlota will be okay and that he did the right thing in defending them. Mateo cries on Ubaldo’s shoulder as Ubaldo says if they both come out of this alive, Mateo will be their hero. He doesn’t see how aggravated Ubaldo is.
Of course, Elsa has to go on and on about the big mistake Carlota made with Ubaldo and the effect that has on their family and Soledad’s family. Carlota says she did it for her brother. Elsa agrees it was a good idea to go against evil but she is it in the wrong way. She should have talked to her. Elsa would have listened . She has put the fair family in and very bad position. Now all of these friendships and her “chosen” family can be destroyed. Carlota apologizes.
Ari wakes up and calls out to his Taji/Temo. He tells Temo that his song brought him back. They are overjoyed to be together again.
Dora is wondering where the dog will stay. Nora says it can be their guard dog and live with Sansón their security guard. And they all can take care of it. Dora asks who will pick up its doggie droppings. Dora reminds Nora of that movie “Roma” by Cuarón where there was doggie droppings all over the patio (yes, I saw that movie and the doggie droppings were endless. It was quite disgusting even in black and white) Little Arqui says it could do #1 on newspaper. Nora tells Dora at times like this it is good to let things go a bit and let In a little light. It is clear that Dora will not say no to Little Arqui as he again asks if the dog can stay with him.
In some hotel room somewhere, Ubaldo is meeting with the fixer guy and Isarnio. Ubaldo tells him that he failed. He offers to complete the job. Ubaldo calls him an imbecile. Ubaldo is now worried that Carlota will tell everyone whet was going on between them. Isarnio has the answer.
At the hospital, Ubaldo tells Pancho that at least they now know Mateo wasn’t the shooter. It is all very strange to Ubaldo. He asks if Pancho can think of anyone who would want to hurt them. Pancho says that back in Oaxaca they did have an enemy called Guido Mussi but fortunately he is in jail. Ubaldo was wondering because the attack seemed so personal. Pancho is too tired to talk more and leaves.
RGV Chick: Enjoyed the recap from yesterday on the Gran Final.
My personal thoughts:
1.) Yameli & Juanjo finally endgame.
2.) Yameli & Erick singing together as Mommy & Son.
3.) I'm assuming Vanessa is living with Sergio & not with Erick, Juanjo & Yameli ?
4.) Charly's downfall was EPIC & I loved it.
5.) Did Jack & others go to prison too after testifying against Charly ?
6.) Where is Kirby ?
7.) Loved seeing the TV news reports on Charly's downfall.
8.) Ligia was heartbroken. She was blind to all of the crimes.
9.) Charly sealed his own soon a long time ago when he framed Yameli.
10.) Whatever happened to Annoying Wendy ?
11.) Did Vanessa ever apologize to Yameli for treating her like SHIT ?
12.) Enjoyed watching Yameli & Erick lighting candles next to pictures of Yameli's parents & grandmother.
Oleg and Elsa come down the hall and Ubaldo asks how Carlota is doing. Elsa slaps him hard across the face. She informs him that she knows everything. She is also suspecting that he killed Andrés.
Mateo meets Diego at the hospital. Diego teases him and asks if the flowers are for him. Mateo says no. They are for Carlota. He will buy Ari a gift. Diego is happy he is ending up being their friend and ending up being a good person. Mateo says he is not a bad person. Diego has realized that. He is a super hero. Does he have a super hero body? He jokingly starts poking Mateo. Mateo asks him what he is doing.
Elsa continues to give Ubaldo a piece of her mind promising him that they will bring him down. Oleg has to hold her back. For what Ubaldo did to her daughter there will never be any forgiveness. He stops Elsa right there. Carlota was of legal age and he never forced himself on her. She is not saying anything to Soledad because she loves her friend. As for accusing him of killing Andrés, Ubaldo admits he has done a lot of things but how can they believe he would kill Andrés who he loved as his own son ? Oleg says Carlota saw a video where Andrés said Ubaldo was capable of anything. Ubaldo asks where it is. Oleg says it mysteriously disappeared. Ubaldo tells them that their emotions are affecting their judgment. They need to calm down. Elsa and Oleg promise to not give up. Oleg predicts that Ubaldo will end up with nothing and nobody. Ubaldo has to add that Andrés made a kind of godfather out of him to make up for the love he wasn’t getting at his own home. Oleg goes after Ubaldo and Elsa pulls him off. Ubaldo continues that Oleg wasn’t at home to know what was going on with his own son. Elsa was pressuring him. He was suffering from depression. He needed someone to listen to him and he was there for Andrés to do for him what neither of them was doing. Elsa and Oleg are suddenly quiet. He loved Andrés. He had nothing to do with his death. Elsa then asks about him attacking Carlota. He wasn’t responsible for the attack on Carlota but has a good idea Isarnio Caballero was.
On the apartment steps, little Arqui sits with his dog. He tells Dora, Nora and his daddy Eduardo that Polilla is going to sound some time with his brother. Ari will be nine soon. Little Arqui misses him a lot.
Ubaldo explains there is an arrest warrant out for Isarnio for what he did to Elsa. He adds that if Carlota says that they found Andrés’ ’ body on Isarnio’s property, then it all makes sense. Isarnio is also homophobic so the attack on Ari would fit, too. Elsa isn’t about to be taken in by all of this so easily explained away. Oleg says if Ubaldo is so sure, he can open up all of his records for Oleg to do his own investigation. Ubaldo accepts but in the meantime he is going to contact the police to make sure Isarnio does not escape justice. With a finger in his face, Elsa tells Ubaldo to stay far away from her daughter but informs him that the two of them will remain very close. Ubaldo shakes his head in disbelief and walks away on his phone.
Dropping in quickly to thank everyone for sharing their thoughts on the Gran Final. I was glad that they spent more than a few minutes on the "Two Years Later." In most novelas, we get a montage in the last few minutes with the happy couple ending the show.
Diana, "The saddest moment was Ligia walking out of the prison, her grief cutting through her like a knife." You always mange to find just the right words to describe the emotions of the characters. I also thought it was quite notable that, in that scene, Lijia's bright red blouse was such a contrast against the drab, ominous background....bleeding heart??
Lucio, you're description of the "inexpressive galan" hit the nail on the head. I've only watched one other TN with Mane (Vuelo de la Victoria) and he was almost as inexpressive in that one as in this one. I'm hoping that he is just portraying a bland character because we have seen some spurts of spark and passion coming from him....and he does throw a mean punch!
Susanlynn, "People are formed by their circumstances , and when Monchis killed his brother and took over his family, Charly's fate was sealed." I'm sure that is why Ligia felt so responsible for what happened to Charly, but as Charly finally acknowledged, his decisions and actions were his alone. He made some really bad choices of his own free will; and now he has to face the consequences, painful (physically and emotionally) as they may be. We saw the testimony regarding the money laundering, but nothing about Diana's murder or that of Marlene. We do, however, know that they had substantial evidence to indict him for Marlene's murder. I have no clue about Mexico's justice system. Would there be a chance that Charly will get out of prison sometime in the not so near future?
I'll be back later with more...gotta run...
Oh BTW, last time I heard from Kirby (last week), he was doing fine. I know that Nina, AMOT and Alfredo live in Florida, so my thoughts and prayers are with all of them.
SOME TIME LATER . . .
Ari comes home from the hospital. His family and friends have arranged a surprise party to welcome him home. Even Julio and Lupita are there.
Pancho takes Ari and Temo to their room to talk. Pancho sees Ari as family and will never abandon him. Susanita, the Oppas, the Córcega’s are all worried about him. Pancho gets straight to it. There are a lot of people in the country who do not accept different orientations. What happened to him is a hate crime. In Mexico there are people who murder people like them and that has him worried. Many people just won’t accept that we want the same things: to love and be happy. When they decided to allow them to live alone in the capital, they never imagined this would happen. They knew life would be hard but never knew they would face hatred like this. For that reason, the time has come for all of them to go back home to Oaxaca.
Eduardo and Soledad talk about her divorce proceedings. Dora walks in and tells her there is still time to avoid making a stupid mistake. Soledad says it isn’t a stupid mistake and she is going through with the divorce.
Temo and Ari argue with Pancho and respectfully don’t want to give up their life, education and opportunities living in the capital. They are grateful for all Pancho has done for them. Ari reminds him that both he and Temo have been taught to be brave and not give up. Ari goes on to tell him all they have here along with little Arqui. Pancho understands. He will agree to let them stay under ONE condition: that he move in permanently with them. He refuses to leave them alone. He makes them fist bump to it and they do.
Elsa, Carlota and Oleg are all happy they are going to be living together again. Carlota knows Andrés would like to see it and Elsa adds he will always live through them. As for Andrés’ death, Oleg has investigated every record/file that Ubaldo has and has not found anything linking him to Andrés’ death. Elsa tells her they know Ubaldo is a manipulative bad man that wants to make them believe everything is Isarnio’s fault, but they know better and are not giving up.
Ubaldo talks to Isarnio. Ubaldo is frustrated that Oleg and Elsa won’t just believe the story he is telling him and then Soledad is going through with the divorce. Isarnio gets it but it is all Ubaldo’s fault. Ubaldo agrees. He never should have gotten involved with Carlota.
Nora gets a text at the party fro her old love to meet in the park. She announces she is going to o take the dog for a walk a little later. Unfortunately forcher, all of the kids want to go along.
Carlota gets lectured on integrity by her parents. The time has come for her to tell the truth to Soledad and Diego. Carlota is in tears.
Everyone is having dinner at the welcome home party. Temo gives Ari a photo album that has scenes that Ari and we haven’t seen before like Carlota doing her rehab at home /, Nora, Soledad, Elsa, Dora and Eduardo all making chocolate cake and tres leches cake for little Arqui as Dora says they are going to take care of him as their own just like they promised Polita/ Elsa being welcomed back to the university/ Temo being academically successful and maybe getting a chance to study abroad/ Pancho leading an exercise class for everybody/ Diego and Carlota getting an award for their birth control PSA project. Ari thanks them all and is ready to move in to the next chapter of his life. The doorbell rings. Ari and Temo affectionately touch foreheads. Pancho tells them to cut it because doña Dora is here. They all laugh. Diego announces a new member of the family has arrived. Mateo walks in with the dog. Ari asks if Mateo is the new member of the family. Diego says NO; it’s the dog!
What to name the dog? Nora suggests Luz because it brought happiness when they most needed it. Little Arqui decides it. The dog will be Luci.
Nora, Pancho, Ari, Temo, little Arqui, Julio and Lupita all take the dog for a walk in the park. Ari finds it funny that Temo has the name of a warrior and he with the name of a philosopher has the scars on his body.Temo explains that Aristóteles was a warrior of the heart,
Mateo, Thiago, Diego and Carlota are all together and Mateo and Thiago are getting into it.
Eduardo tells Soledad that Polita had been in a situation similar to what she is going through now. He tells her how her ex mother-in-law thought a woman was nothing without a man in her life. He himself saw it first hand when his mother adopted him and was a single mother. Ari and little Arqui gave Polita the strength she needed to be free. He hokes up saying he cannot believe he will never see Polita again. He didn’t want to cry. Soledad says she read at her book club that crying is a sign that you are alive.
Carlota and the guys have prepared something for Ari and Temo.
The group in the park is chatting. Nora says Dora is difficult because of all the pain she has inside. Ari makes the comment that just because you have had a hard life doesn’t give you the right to be mean to others. Nora agrees. Her brother and sister are stuck in the past with their pain and have to learn how to live in the present. It is never too late to be happy and loved. Pancho says the López and the Córcega’s will help them get there. They all agree. As they have a group hug, someone approaches in shiny black boots and black jacket. Nora nervously looks at the person who pauses, turns and walks in the opposite direction.
Eduardo tells Soledad she can sign the divorce papers if she wants, Soledad signs. She welcomes her freedom.
Oleg moves back in. Elsa apologizes to the portrait of Andrés for not being there when he needed her most. Oleg promises him justice.
Ubaldo visits a church with Dora. He hasn’t been there willingly for years. Dora tells him God listens if he asks. Ubaldo says he doesn’t deserve that as he thinks back on Andrés dying in the woods. He destroyed the family. He is not who they think he is. He is a bad person.
He has fooled them all.
FIN
This has its gran final on Monday 9/9/19. So expect two more slice and dice episodes in the last five since next Friday this looks like it is fútbol time.
I got a kick out Dora mentioning the movie “Roma” and the excess of doggie droppings. I remember those scenes well. It was nice to see a contemporary reference.
So much to be resolved in so few episodes!
Rgv Chick...Late to the party. Babysat early and then there was the OSU football game. But the wait was worth it. You and Diana did beautiful bookends with her prologue and your final paragraph:
"And so ends our story. Yameli has found her justice, her son, and someone to love. A family has been destroyed while another flourishes; dreams have been destroyed while others are realized; people have been hurt; others died; a child is motherless…the price of justice was indeed high."
And of course I loved the title. Forgiveness is powerful indeed. Hard to do. But powerful and healing in its effects.
I loved your recap and it was far better than this ending deserved. In fact, I have to say it...I hated the ending. I hated Yameli suddenly being weak and letting Charly drag her off like she was just a damsel in distress. This is somebody we've seen kick ass pretty effectively. And then there was that ugh kinky vibe going on in the cabin attic. Not totally seen but implied. And yes, we see Charly suffering in prison, not something I particularly enjoy. I want to see justice done, but I don't want to see one man being ganged up on by a mob of other men. For the rest of his life presumably. And I hated seeing Ligia suffering and blaming herself for his misdeeds. Her self punishment will go on for the rest of her life.
And pardon me, but gag me with a spoon at the "How nice that Wendy is finally mature enough to let us have more time with Juancito." How about YOU being mature, Yameli, and not go around snagging someone else's husband? Ditto for you Juanjo. How about honoring the promise YOU made to love and honor your wife for better or for worse.
Never have I felt so negative and disinterested in the Happily Ever After of the two telenovea protagonists. Just no. They seemed fatuous and oh my aren't we wonderful, both up on stage and later on at the family dinner.
But your resumé of the gran final was beautifully written, as were all youR recaps, and you and Diana combined seamlessly. My own part, collaborating with Diana on some previous recaps was small. But it was fun to do. Working with my old pal from so many years on CarayCaray.
So all in all, before this took a turn for the worse (looking at you Jack, goshdarnit) this was a snazzy, well-produced telenovela. But the ending ruined it for me. However the recaps were consistently first-rate, from beginning to end. Thank you so much Rgv Chick and Diana. You're a terrific team and terrific people. Love you both. Hated the ending.
Susanlynn, so glad you were along for the ride. We need to get you watching an afternoon telenovela. The Sin Tu Mirada (3 pm) patio was a lot of fun this summer.
Thanks, Jarifa. I haven't watched it yet, but I'm looking forward to meeting the latest cast member, Luci. Finally something cute and cuddly here -- besides Arqui of course.
SpanProf, I too thought the fixer was arranging an accident, not that he would shoot two people in their home causing a police investigation. Makes absolutely no sense. But I am glad it wasn't Mateo, who'd been getting goaded by Ubaldo to do something drastic
So Eduardo is the guy that could be Dora's bio kid? Verrry interesting.
Pancho moving in with Temo, Ari, and Diego will hopefully lighten things up.
SpanProf, thanks for the name of the fixer guy. You were the one who first brought up the possibility of B being another female and it looks like you are going to be right. As for Ubaldo, he seems to be a mess right now. I, too, wonder what the plan was.
Niecie, the Luci scenes are very cute. This was an good episode with plenty of positive because they didn’t linger on Ari and Carlota in the hospital too long and everyone seems to be moving on with their lives. Yes, Pancho will be a good touch. I like Pancho.
Judy, your kind words are very much valued and appreciated. You were an integral part of this, my partner in recapping. Your translations gave my writing its wings. Gracias my friend.
"So all in all, before this took a turn for the worse (looking at you Jack, goshdarnit) this was a snazzy, well-produced telenovela". Completely true. When Jack returned, Yameli had a smile that radiated joy. I never saw her smile at Juanjo that way. I still think she was trying to rectify her mistake of choosing the wrong boy many years ago. You can't go home again and you can't ruin another's home to do it. Sorry, I realize I am acting like a dog with a bone who simply refuses to give it up!
An excellent novella that suffered only with the ending. The acting though was stellar start to finish.
Diana.
Haven't seen you here in while. Hope that you and yours are well. What telenovela will you watch next ?
The first 5 episodes of "La Usurpadora" were released by Televisa on their website. The first reviews are positive. It is about twin sisters separated at birth and switching places as adults. Univisón will start showing "La Usurpadora" in two weeks at 9pm after "Juntos" ends.
JudyB, it's never too late to the party; there's always plenty of ice cream, Fritos, Zinfandel and other drinks for everyone at anytime. The only thing I like about the ending was Charly's anvil; however, as you pointed out, getting beat up every day and that walk through all the inmates who were taunting him were a little much. The music was also nice and I was hoping Mane would get a chance to sing since I know that he does sing professionally. I do know that the concert at the end was not in the original "La Reina de Flow." In the original series, the show ended with the family eating out in the patio area.
It was a privilege and an honor to receive such generous critiques from everyone. I have always said that you all are my adrenaline and the energy that keeps this bunny going :-)
Diana, I am so impressed with your writing style; it's like reading poetry. I still go back and read you prologues which are so inspired and beautifully written.
JudyB, your contributions and assistance were greatly appreciated. You always lifted us when we needed it; and you have such wonderful insight. You always highlighted areas that needed to be stressed and provided different perspectives on situations.
Lucio, thank you for all the info you provided. I especially appreciated the titles and lyrics to the songs which essentially were integral in telling this story. And thank you for the info on "La Usurpadora"! It's only 25 episodes so I'll probably give it a try.
Susanlynn, I'm so glad you were part of this patio and that we could bring some brightness to your day. I can certainly say that this patio and the Mirada patio were my sunshine during my gloomy days. It was always a joy to read your comments and thoughts on the TN.
La Paloma, dropped in a few times and she helped with details at the beginning of the show. If you're still out there, La Paloma, thank you and I hope all is well with you.
To the Anons and anyone else I may have not mentioned, thank you for sharing your thoughts with us. We always appreciate the different perspectives; it makes for good discussions.
Jardinera. thank you for dropping in and sharing your thoughts on this TN. I agree that the first half was much better than the second. I think the turn off (for me) began when Juanjo married Wendy despite knowing that he was in love with Yameli. And there were some other things that bothered me, such as Yameli stating outright at one point that she didn't care if Diana got hurt...that was cold and unwarranted IMO. And throughout the story, Yameli insisted that she was not out for revenge...she wanted justice; yet, before forgiving Charly, she admitted that VENGEANCE had brought HER much pain. So she finally admitted that it was vengeance she was after...and it irked me that she only included herself in that statement...her vengeance hurt ALOT of people.
I agree that this show started with an interested plot and great acting, and it moved quick!y, I have to admit that , MonchiS really creeped me out , and I was glad she be was no longer in the show. I cannot watch violence and suffering. The actor playing Juanjo was wonderful and did a great job of wearing his heart on his sleeve. Grown-up juanjo just lacked the same spark and passion that a ga!an needs to make us believe that he is , indeed, the leading lady's soulmate.Several of us here commented that we didn't see the chemistry that should have been between Juan and Yam. Having her end up with the devoted Jack would have been a nice twist. Anyway, it was the best show I have seen in a long time. How that it has ended , I guess I will watch Amor Eterno and Juntos followed by La Usurpadora which I thing is a remake of an older show.
Steve, yes, La Usurpadora will replace Juntos. I was looking at the TV schedule for the next two weeks and they are really prolonging the Gran Final on Juntos. Check it out (for the 9PM time slot)...
Sept. 2-5 (Mon-Thu) Juntos
Sept. 6 (Fri) Futbol
Sept. 9 (Mon) Juntos
Sept. 10 (Tue) Futbol
Sept. 11 (Wed) La Rosa de Guadalupe from 8-10PM...why? cuz Univision said so :-(
Sept. 12 (Thu) Presidential Debate
Sept. 13 (Fri) Juntos: Gran Final
La Usurpadora starts on Sept. 16 (Mon) at 9PM
Thanks for the correction, Alexander. For some reason, the TV guide, Zap2it, has “Juntos “ airing on Sept 13th; so I thought that was the Gran Final.
It looks like after “La usurpadora”, “Cuna de lobos” will be the next one up in the series. I like the fact that these all are going to be only 25 capįtulos. I am in the mood for something shorter these days.
Yes, Susanlynn, they are a part of a new anthology series by Televisa called “Fábrica de sueños” (dream factory) where they are updating and remaking a dozen “classic” telenovelas.. Each of them will be 25 episodes. I like the concept; now I will have to see if I enjoy the actual shows.
Diane: Thank you also for doing yeoman's work - triple duty both you and RGV in recapping this wild and wonderful tn. Your style is such an enjoyable read. I do hope you as RGV continue sharing your take on things and keeping us together on that patio in the future.
And I remember Angelique Boyer in a TN where she plays 3 roles as triplets who never met till later in life....
Not an uncommon theme but often a very interesting one.
