JUNTOS, EL CORAZÓN NUNCA SE EQUIVOCA Capítulo 15 9/2/19 Part 1

Well, this was a quite a slice and dice of original episodes 20 and 21

We start where we left off with a tearful Ubaldo and Dora in the church. She tells him to have faith in God who guides us. He talks about his troubled relationship with his father. He really loves her and Nora but feels like a traitor to the Ortega name. Dora sees herself as the one who destroyed the family. She killed their sister Flora.

In the park, Pancho has a big and important gift for Temo and Ari. He is turning over his beloved truck “LaBurra” to them so the boys can make a little extra money. He informs them that La Burra gets angry if she is parked too long. She needs to be fulfilling her mission.

Now outside the church. A now tearful Dora talks about the same nightmare she has many nights. Ubaldo was a little kid. Nora was looking at her with terror in her eyes, Flora was in agony and she left her there. That is her sin. Ubaldo says she was young and didn’t know what she was doing. She insists that her penance was what her parents did with her son. She doesn’t know where they abandoned him. Ubaldo will always protect her and Nora. He thanks her for reminding him of his mission. He will do all he can for his family.

Thiago and Carlota have become friends. He emphasizes that he is putting no pressure on her for something more. He can be patient.

Nora is with all of the kids in La Burra when B sends her a text saying she was waiting for her and was worried. B needs her. Nora answers she doesn’t want to lose her again.

Oleg has a document to show Elsa from the same year that Dora’s child went missing. She doesn’t understand how it could be relevant. Oleg explains they keep looking for a reason from the present. What if the answer is really from the past when Ubaldo entered politics? She asks Oleg if he thinks he can really find Dora’s son.

Carlota and Diego talk about their relationships or in her case lack of. She wants to concentrate on herself and her career right now. He wants to see his best friend (her) happy. She loves him a lot.

Elsa gets off the phone and tells Oleg that he was right that Isarnio Caballero was involved from the start and Ubaldo had to know. Elsa asks him to be careful around Dora since she doesn’t know how she is going to take this news about her son.

What I found annoying while watching this tonight, she got him in her car

Also he drives up, stands there with bloody hand on the door. I'm tellin him to pass out and he just stands there in pain(they never listen to me)gives her back what he stole. Did she tell him that they threatened her brother with prison and that's why she married emir? Cuz he started boohoo crying in the car before he got stabbed.Im thinkin She told him about the blackmail by Her weird husband with the 1960syfy ringtone on his phone.
Well at least she got him to the hospital before he bled out. Now who
Will call his parents? And if I'm not mistaken is emir on his way to the hospital to finish him off? Well
That's what I got. That actor that plays kemal is one pretty man. Even with his eyes closed.

JUNTOS Part 2

Soledad is all packed up and ready to leave her home when Ubaldo comes in with a bouquet of lilac colored roses for her. She refuses the flowers. She tells him it is too late. She is fed up. She no longer loves him. He tries to apologize and promises to be better and wants to make her fall in love again with him every which way he can. Soledad is not buying it. They lived in a kind of codependency. The last straw was when he hit her. He didn’t even extend a hand to help her up. He enjoyed seeing her there lying on the floor. As Soledad tries to roll out her luggage and leave, Ubaldo reminds her this is her home and that he doesn’t want the day he is being sworn in as mayor to be the same day that she is left him, She tells him he didn’t get any of what she said. Finally leaving, Soledad puts her engagement and wedding ring on the table and tells Ubaldo he can stay with the real “soledad” (loneliness) now. She is gone.

At the kids apartment, Carlota tells Diego the truth. She was his father’s lover. Diego is enraged with her and also with Ari and Temo because they didn’t tell him when they already new. Diego doesn’t want any of them in his life. Still upset, Diego goes to hang out with Mateo and Thiago. Temo tries calling Diego. He is not answering. Ari says Diego needs his space. Ari says he will help Temo work all of this out with his best friend. Temo and Carlota get into it about the whole situation.

Ubaldo sits alone at home thinking about how he hit Soledad and called her “stupid.” He calls his good friend Pancho to please come over. He needs a friend. When Pancho gets there, Ubaldo tells him that Soledad left him. She is getting a divorce . He did not tell Pancho before because he thought he could get her to change her mind. (He never tells Pancho that he hit Soledad). Ubaldo admits he didn’t treat Soledad the best he could. Pancho says they were a couple to navy. Ubaldo agrees but he could feel himself getting more distant from her. Little by little, he stopped seeing her or listening to her. When he saw her here tonight as she left her rings behind, he realized that he loved her. Pancho says he needs to fight for his family. He needs to fight to get his wife and son back; launch the best campaign of his life. Since Pancho is going to be living there now, Ubaldo suggests that they work together like in the old days. He needs his advice.

Soledad talks to Elsa about how confused she is. Elsa says things will get clearer soon. Oleg and Carlota arrive. Soledad tells Carlota that Diego is so fond of her. She is his best friend. Elsa informs them that Carlota will be living with them.

Mateo is talking to a drunk Diego. Mateo identifies a word as being very “goy” as in “not Jewish” and Diego thinks he is saying gay. Diego is still upset. Sobbing he says he feels lost.

Temo and Ari are chatting. Ari remembers what Andrés told him about finding the answer back in the beginning. He concludes that they have to investigate Ubaldo’s past.


 

JUNTOS Part 3

Mateo carries a drunk Diego into Ubaldo’s house. Diego starts to yell at Ubaldo as Pancho tells Ubaldo to stay calm. Diego hates his father. His father is a liar. He mentions a lover.He is so drunk he is falling over. Mateo leaves. Ubaldo starts to hell at Diego for being drunk. Pancho reminds him that is no good because he is drunk and tells him to make some really strong coffee as he stays with Diego. Diego passes out in his bed. Pancho wants to know what Diego was talking about when he said he had a lover. When Ubaldo admits to having had an affair with Carlota, Pancho asks if he is crazy. Ubaldo insists he never forced himself on her. Ubaldo now sees it was a terrible mistake. Pancho knows Ubaldo is sawed of how he (Pancho) thinks with him cheating on Soledad and now with Diego knowing all about it. If Ubaldo could turn back time, it would all be different. So, now he is getting what he deserves. He tells Pancho that marriage if difficult and that things change. He reminds Pancho about his second wife Rebequita. Pancho agrees and adds that he never cheated on her. Ubaldo tells him he is not him (Pancho). Pancho is the better father and the better man. Ubaldo sees himself as an idiot. Pancho tells him he is not a bad man. He helped him out so much when Rebeca died. He cared for his children as if they were his own. Ubaldo has lost his family and doesn’t want to lose Pancho, too. Ubaldo only wants a second chance. Pancho agrees we all deserve that but his is going to be very difficult. He loves Soledad and Diego as he is. Pancho says now is the time to show his son that he really does accept and love him. Pancho tells him that infidelity ruins families so the time has come to own up to his mistakes and with deeds show he wants to change. Ubaldo says he is no saint and cannot be one. Pancho asks him if he wants to end up all alone. Dora arrives all upset. She demands to know the truth about her son. Oleg discovered that Isarnio Caballero’s wife was in charge of the adoptions in their municipality when her son was born. Isarnio is Ubaldo’s friend. She needs him to tell her where her son is. She needs to see him. Ubaldo says Isarnio is of his friend. He was a business associate for a short time. He is capable of doing the worst things. Dora is distraught. She feels that her son is nearby. Ubaldo has to tell her that all of the reports he has gotten back while investigating the whereabouts of her son suggest that he is most likely dead.

Nora meets B in the Park. They sit on a park bench where they hug and kiss. Nora tells B they are the only person she has ever loved.We still do not see B’s face and B’s gender is kept a secret. Ari and Temo are out walking the dog and see them and watch them from behind a pile of rocks. They are quite surprised. They wonder if Dora knows about this. They think not. Maybe they can help Nora out.

Soledad talks to Elsa about her concerns being a divorced woman and how to deal with it in society. Elsa tells her to just keep her head high. She is a woman who decided to end the suffering and deception.

The next morning, all of the women meet to have breakfast at Dora’s. Professor Collins arrives wanting to tell Soledad she has all of his support. Dora throw him out of her home and off her property. He tells Soledad he will be waiting for her on the street.

 

JUNTOS Part 4

Ubaldo looks for Diego. He is not at home. Ubaldo gets all phone call from his secretary about the photos. He gets online and Diego has posted nude photos. Comments have been made about him showing the family jewels.

Ari helps get little Arqui ready for school. Little Arqui sees a vision of his mother smiling at him. Ari believes him. He has been feeling that she has been close. Ari tells him he is sure they will be seeing her soon. Temo tells Ari about the photos and the resulting scandal. They need to help Diego.

Diego shows up at Dora’s. He wants to be sure that nobody betrays her because she is a good person. He tells her that his father was unfaithful with Carlota. Carlota told him herself. Elsa apologizes and tries to make excuses saying she just didn’t want to hurt Soledad. Dora has to stick in her two cents when she hears it is about Ubaldo and blames Carlota, of course. Elsa says Carlota did it to “unmask” Ubaldo. Soledad isn’t having any of it. She is going to be at Elsa’s to pick up her things and will not be staying with her. On the street, Professor Collins offers to do what he can to help Soledad. She thanks him but she has called an Uber and needs to be alone with her son. He is the only thing that is important to her.

Ubaldo calls for a press conference to he can spin the nude photo incident.

Pancho and Ubaldo show up at the kids’ apartment. Ubaldo wants Ari and Temo to help him reconcile with Diego. Ubaldo runs into Dora who si not pleased to Angie heard about his affair with a young girl. She and Nora will not be going to the press conference.

Soledad and Diego agree to forge on ahead together and to not give up.

Ubaldo starts his press conference claiming that the photos were a violation of his son’s privacy and spread to hurt him and his family. He is quickly upstaged by Diego saying he himself published the photos online. He calls his father a liar and a hypocrite. Ubaldo cannot make him or his mother shut up. Everybody knows that he cheated on his mom with his (Diego’s) best friend. The press goes wild.

This was so jam-packed that I kept feeling like I missed something. ; )

I have been impressed with the time they have been giving to really developing Ubaldo as a multidimensional character/villain. So many novela villains are one dimensional.

Thanks, Jarifa. Super job. Looks like Ubaldo will fall soon. Great line: Finally leaving, Soledad puts her engagement and wedding ring on the table and tells Ubaldo he can stay with the real “soledad” (loneliness) now. She is gone.

I am finding it hard to believe Pancho and Ubaldo were ever close buddies. Ubaldo is selfish to the core. He wanted Soledad to stay so she'd continue catering to him while he continued cheating.

Kudos to Diego. When he goes on a bender, he pulls out all the stops. Nude photos on the net, check. Break into dad's press conference and tell all, check.

Are Ari and Temo surprised that Nora has a secret love? Or are they surprised by the identity of the secret love? Why don't Nora and secret B go somewhere private rather than risk smoochies in a public place?

Okay, color me confused. At first, Ubaldo seemed like a monster to his wife and son and possibly involved in Andrew's death. Now are we supposed to believe that he we a good guy when he lines Pancho and then became evil ?

Diago is a hot mess.

They are hiding Nora's lover's appearance for some reason. Do they think they are fooling us ?

Nina..ha...I cant understand the dia!ogue, but I completely agree with you that instead of calling for an ambulance or driving him right to the ER, she sat first sat on the ground boohooing ..Then she sat next to him in the car talking and boohooing. Dumb.
 

Niecie, I was so happy that Diego went for broke at this point. Now, Nora has to do the same. I also don’t get the “public” smooching either.

Susanlynn, well,Ubaldo told Dora he fooled them all so he probably fooled Pancho, as well. Very realistic.

I just hope we get all of the details so we can understand what happened to Dora’s son.
 

JUNTOS. Great recap, Jarifa, and I don't think you missed a thing. I hope B. turns out to be a good person. I think the writers are just teasing us by concealing her (probably female) identity. Ari and Temo are so sweet to want to help Nora! Maybe it would have been better if Carlota hadn't told Diego about her affair with his father--after all, she can't very well tell him that she thinks Ubaldo is a murderer. OK! Diego's remote past it is! Dead Andres, Oleg and Ari all agree that that is where all his evil started and the best place to find out how to unmask him, I agree that Ubaldo is remarkably complex for a tn villain--though there have been a few, like that mayor of a seaside resort town in Baja California a few years ago--the one whose future son-in-law was the noble doctor mourning the loss of his wife and baby.

"Diego is still upset. Sobbing he says he feels lost". Jarifa, you convey a full gamut of emotions with just a few carefully chosen words. Excellent recap.

Diego has spiraled completely out of control. But how on earth could you blame him? His reality check with his parent's imploding marriage was bad enough, but that Carlota was involved and his beloved Temo and Ari silent, exacerbated an already open wound. Ruled by emotion first and foremost, this young man is dangerously close to the edge.

"Ubaldo sees himself as an idiot". Ahh yes, that. And so much more.

"Elsa says Carlota did it to “unmask” Ubaldo". Of course, because a young girl wanting to avenge her brother's death surely realized she could match Ubaldo's cunning and evil.

Hopefully, Soledad will accept the professor's help and Diego will let his friends help him. A tall task as Ubaldo even has Pancho fooled (makes no sense does it Susanlynn?).

I loved seeing Polita visiting Arqui. A great loss for him and certainly for the patio.

Niecie, I just loved "Kudos to Diego. When he goes on a bender, he pulls out all the stops. Nude photos on the net, check. Break into dad's press conference and tell all, check". Simply great.

Riveting Jarifa. I only wish for a wee bit of humor or some real romance to lighten this a bit. Thank you!

SpanProf, was that “El bienamado” with Jesús Ochoa? Anyway, I wonder if they will ever tell us who B is. It would be rather novel if they never did expose her true love’s gender. I am enjoying the various mysteries.

Diana, I am holding out all hope for multiple happy endings for our long suffering characters. I know it is the end of the MMTF franchise and it is time to move on but I still am sad to see it go. : )

SpanProf, I think there must have been more about Mateo being Jewish and the brouhaha over Thiago and his sister but, alas, all of that must have been cut since any Jewish allusion makes no sense.

Nina..i had the same question as to whether there really is a dead body from that night Ozan blacked out. But I became convinced there was as I recall a flashbaxk that showed Emir digging a grave. But that would make him an accessory to murder and a coverup.i know it was all staged to trap Nihan but maybe there was no real murder....just staging.

I still have the question regarding Nihan and Ozans true parentage...did I misundetstand that thy are adopted?

JUNTOS, EL CORAZÓN NUNCA SE EQUIVOCA Capítulo16 Tuesday 9/13/19 Part 1

Tonight’s episode was another slice and dice of original episodes 22 and 23.

The press is wild. Ubaldo tries to make excuses for Diego at the press conference. Diego refuses to be quieted or have his actions reinterpreted. He tells his father he doesn’t want him in his life and he was not the son his father wanted but he is the son his father deserves. He leaves and the press follows him outside. One of his father’s bodyguards tells him he has to go back and see his dad. It is an order. He tells the press that the bodyguard knows all of his father’s secrets. The bodyguard is inundated by reporters as Diego escapes to the new and improved Burra (complete with advertising for the Mondelez company’s popular products: Oreos, Trident and Halls) driven by Temo. They take off.

Pancho pays Ubaldo a visit in his office. Ubaldo is feeling lost like the end is near. Pancho tries to get him to calm down. Pancho says he has learned as a dad to confront crises with the the truth. Ubaldo supposes everyone will think he is a liar. Pancho tries to make him see we are all human and make mistakes. That gives Ubaldo an idea.

Elsa has her job back at the university.

The Burra stops off at a park. Diego jumps out and storms out as Temo runs after him. Diego is angry and hurt that Temo, his best friend, didn’t tell him the whole truth when he knew it. Temo tells Diego to hit hm as payback. Diego socks him in the jaw and knocks him on the ground. Temo gets up and tells him to do it again. It looks like Diego is taking another punch at him.

Mateo is setting up a camera to record a video that Ubaldo is going to make. Pancho tells him to recognize his mistakes and be honest. Ubaldo starts off by saying he was unfaithful to his wife. His son suffers from depression and although in treatment has been seriously affected psychologically.. His wife divorced him. It practically ruined his life. What he thought was the perfect family never was that at all. He is only human and he let himself be seduced by Carlota Cervantes but that is all over. At this point, Pancho’s eyes the the eyes of the secretary are as big as saucers. Ubaldo continues. His family collapsed and the most important thing is that they learned from their mistakes. While he is talking, we see that Diego didn’t hit Temo again but gave him a hug and Professor Collins stopped by to see a smiling Soledad with some gifts. Pancho asks that he be left alone with Ubaldo.
 

JUNTOS Part 2

Temo is ready to go to the police to report those photos taken of Diego. Diego tells him there is no reason to do that because he took them himself. Temo asks if Diego his friend will forgive him. Diego says they are not friends but brothers and they hug.

Professor Collins brought Soledad a nice dinner. He tells her that he is in love with her. She slightly smiles.Their meal is interrupted when he receives a text. He tells her it is bad news because Ubaldo just made her family’s private life public.

Walking in the park, Ari, Carlota, Elsa and Oleg all here Ubaldo’s speech. Carlota is mortified hearing herself named. They leave the park.

Dora knocks the lock off an old box with a hammer and opens it. Inside, she finds a letter from B telling Nora that she has come back from or her because she is her world. Dora is upset.

Pancho is aggravated with the self-satisfied Ubaldo because he revealed his son’s secrets, he attacked his wife and made Carlota sound like she was at fault. Ubaldo looks surprised at Pancho’s reaction. He was just trying to be sincere. Pancho tells him he cannot help him if he insists on doing bad things. To Pancho it looks like everyone is guilty of causing problems except for him. Unakdi says he is the guilty one and that is what he meant to say. He wants Oancho to believe him. Pancho tells him he sacrificed his family for power and he is going to end up all alone. Ubaldo says he was only trying to be transparent. Pancho says he has to choose not to be the victim and his family over work.He needs Pancho to jelp him. Pancho agrees but he is not smiling.

Diego tells Temo he only wants to be with his mom now because she needs him. He would really like to escape it all and be far away but he could never abandon his mother. Diego is not sure about ever forgiving Carlota. Temo decides to tell him why Carlota did what she did. She suspects thy Diego’s father had Andrés killed. Diego remembers that Andrés was doing a biography of his dad and asked him if he had ever heard of the last name “Gallego”. It appeared several times in his grandparents documents. Diego says they were doing something to his family but his grandfather put a stop to it. Diego looks puzzled now.
 

JUNTOS Part 3

Soledad goes to see Ubaldo in his office and tells him off for airing all their dirty laundryman in public. He destroyed their family, their marriage. She is going to defend Diego from him. Ubaldo still wants to get back with Soledad; to be with her and Diego. He admits to being a idiot. He gets in his knees and pleads. He is sorry . He is a weak man full of defects. He loves her.He begs her to forgive him. Well, she isn’t about to do that. She tells him he is incapable of loving anyone. She feels only pity and disgust for him.

Diego is upset again after what Temo told him and what he remembered. His dad couldn’t kill anyone. He then remembers his father telling him how Andrés didn’t obey him and for him to think about he ended up.

Thiago tells Carlota that he will always defend her because he loves her. He asks if he can give her a hug and she says yes.

Dora has invited Soledad over for an “intervention”. Elsa and Oleg are there to see her.

Ari and the kids start seeing and hearing all kinds of signs that Polita is near them in the apartment. Little Arqui smiles.

Diego tells Temo that he wants to talk to Pancho. Why? Well, if Ubaldo is guilty they will all have to be together to bring him down.

Soledad is not happy with the setup.She has nothing to say to Elsa and Oleg. Nora tells her that friendships sometimes have to go through the most difficult trials.Elsa asks her to do it for Diego.

All of the kids think they heard Polita from somewhere.

Temo asks Diego if he would go against his own father. Diego says he would if all of the proof were there. Temo says they have to talk to Pancho.

Pancho is still talking to Ubaldo who is telling him how Soledad said he disgusted her. Pancho says to give it time. Ubaldo doesn't think that will make a difference . Here he is the head of the city government but without his wife and son he is miserable.,
 

JUNTOS Part 4

Eduardo comes home to an apartment filled with bananas.Ari and little Arquí are sure his mother is to blame and that she is trying to communicate with them for some reason.

Elsa talks about how the women supported her when Andrés died and Oleg left. They got her back on her feet. Soledad sees that all the more reason that she should have been told the truth. Before Oleg leaves, he reminds them that they always have been like family.

Ari explains that bananas were his mother’s favorite fruit as a child but she never ate them again after his grandmother abandoned her, She finally ate them when his grandmother apologized to her and came back to make peace. Ari sees the bananas aa a sign from his mother that they are going to be happy again. Polita watches them just beaming.

Elsa explains that even though her daughter did the wrong thing, she had a very powerful reason for doing it.Soledad really doesn’t want to hear. Elsa continues that Carlota did it because she thought that Ubaldo had something to do with Andrés’ death. Elsa is shocked. Dora jumps up to defend her brother. Elsa insists her daughter would never lie about anything that serious. Oleg adds that they do not believe that their son committed suicide. Dora cannot see any reason for Ubaldo to kill him. Ubaldo is no murderer to her,

Ubaldo thinks back to Diego saying that he didn’t want him in his life. He looks at the old family photo with him and his three sisters. He tells Flora it all would have been different if she had not died.

Oleg mentions the attack against Carlota and Ari. Dora wonders how they can blame Ubaldo for that. She automatically defends him., Oleg says that Carlota,recognized their attacker as an electrician who had been around the building. Dora still cannot see any connection because she hired him not Ubaldo. Soledad remembers Ubaldo telling her that if he ever found out she was unfaithful, he would kill her. Soledad suddenly agrees with their suspicions even if she cannot forgive the rest of it. Ubaldo has always had way too many secrets and he even threatened to kill her. That pushes the hysterical Dora over the edge, Dora doesn’t want to see any of them again.
 

JUNTOS Part 5

In the park, Diego talks Mateo into coming over to his side and spying on his father as he works for him., Diego needs to find his father’s weak point. Mateo doesn’t want to work for a man with no scruples. They shake on it. Elsa appears and hugs Diego

There area series of odd messages being transmitted by an out of control cell phone to Ari, Pancho, Eduardo and the kids about them all having to be together tomorrow. Whatever it is knows all of their names.

Ubaldo remembers the fixer guy carrying Andrés’ (?) body out of his house, placing it in the front seat, buckling it in and driving away.

Temo comes by to see Ubaldo and resigns. Ubaldo says he knows things have been tense but there is no reason for him to quit. He loves him like a son and all of this could be his. Temo tells hm he will not do with him what he did with Andrés. He no longer believes him. After talking to Ari, Carlota and Diego it all makes sense. He is evil. Ubaldo accuses him of getting involved in an absurd conspiracy theory. Temo tells Ubaldo not to lie and turn himself in to the police. He knows who Ubaldo is and he does not recognize him. Ubaldo warns Temo. If he believes he is a monster, then he might want to watch what he says.

Soledad and Diego have come to see Carlota. Carlota apologizes to them both. Diego says he would have helped her with her investigation because they were friends. Carlota says it seemed like the only option at the time to do what she did.

The kids discuss what they were told in the phone .Little Arqui insists it was a message from his mother Polita. Ari says they have a date for something. Julio doesn’t want a date with anybody at this point. Ari insists it is a message of love. Julio is just freaked out by it all. The doorbell rings and they all,jump.

Unakdi tells Temo this all has to do with Dora and hands him the family photo. Dora was a little older than he, Nora and Flora. Dora was going to run away with a guy: Evaristo Gallego. He and his sisters tried to keep Dora from leaving and they all started pulling on her. Dora was oregnant at the time. In the struggle, Fora fell and hit her head. Dora left leaving him and Nora with the injured Flora. Flora died because they couldn't get her to the hospital in time. It was all Gallego’s fault. When Dora had her baby, Evaristo abandoned them so Dora came home. Their parents blamed Dora for Flora’s death so they took the baby from Dora.

 

JUNTOS Part 6

Temo doesn’t know if he can believe Ubaldo or not. It bothers him because Ubaldo has been like a father to him. Ubaldo tells him he has a career with him because he is the light of the world. Temo needs him. Without him,Temo is nothing. Temo looks him in the eye and tells him he is not the light nor does he need him because he is Cuauhtémoc López Torres and that makes him good enough just as he is.

Soledad tells Carlota we all have to learn from our mistakes. She cannot forget what Carltoa did but is willing to start fresh with her. Diego needs his friend back. All is good.

Ubaldo talks to the fixer guy who tells Ubaldo that Oleg is investigating his past. Ubaldo looks frustrated.

Elsa and Soledad reconcile. They are like sisters.

Nora talks to Diego, Temo and Ari about keeping her secret secret. She doesn’t want to be hated or condemned. Her parents thought her being single meant that something was wrong with her. Nora thinks of her sister Dora manhandling her as a child. When she came back, she blamed her for snitching on her and blamed her for Flora”s death in front of her parents. Her happiness snatched away.

Mateo gives Ubaldo an internet police report about Diego’s photos. Ubaldo dismisses him. He texts somebody saying they have carts Blanche as long as there are no witnesses.

Nora waits in a café talking with B but Dora shows up instead. Dora grabs the phone and tells B she destroyed her family and to forget about her sister. She throws the phone on the floor demanding that Nora come home. She deserves a punishment for her aberration. Nora has finally had it and tells her where to get off. She has had enough of Dora and her justice. She will not be telling her how to live her life anymore. Today she lost another sister. Nora leaves the café.

Mateo tells Diego, Carlota, Thiago, Temo and Ari that it will be hard but with everyone’s abilities it won’t be impossible. Carlota thanks them all because without them, there would be no justice. Ari is confident they will win if they follow their hearts,

Nora goes to stay with Soledad.

Dora and Oleg are out. She talks about knowing a bit about her son could give her some hope. The fixer guy is following them. They end up at a book dealer ????? Oleg finds something that his son signed and Dora has found out from some documents that her son is alive.

The kids have Pancho sit down as Ari tells him the one responsible for the attack on him and Carlota and forvthe death of Andrés is Ubaldo. The dog even agrees.

The book dealer tells Oleg that his son was investigating Ubaldo. He wanted to do a biography of him. Oleg remembers Carlota talking about the video where Andrés said he was capable of doing the worst. Dora comes in to tell Oleg her good news. Her son is alive. It is an adoption request.

Pancho asks if they think Ubaldo could do something like this. Yes. Carlota is sure that her brother found out something really important about him and that is how he got killed. Pancho wonders what that could have been. Could his friend be a criminal?

Bad slice and dice tonight. We had no idea of who the guy was in the old book shop? library? Suddenly there is a books with Andrés’ signature and Dora has a folder with documents about her long lost son. It was like magic . . . Bad magic. That should have been our last slice and dice.

Funny: I just saw Nuria Bages playing Nora and here she is on Uní at 1:30 a.m. on the replay of “Mañana será otro día”. I thought the voice sounded familiar . . .

Nina and Nett- Knowing Emir and his lackeys, I doubt they would care that much about killing someone to accomplish their goal of making a blackmail video....On the other hand, that murder scene was so very rapid, it was hard to tell what actually happened. From the shocking stressful expression on Nihan's face while watching video, it looked like she saw a lot of blood or horrible stuff, so I tend toward "it really happened."
There are certainly a LOT of unanswered questions in this TN- but I guess there usually are. We always have to deal with the frustration of not having people SPEAK UP and say it like is, of course.
• What's the real deal with Emir's mother? He told Nihan the question should be "what did SHE (mother) do to me?"
• What part does Galip, Emir's father, play in all of this? Does he mostly care about protecting his company and family image? Does he really give two hoots about this miserable scum of a son he has or is he almost as bad??
• Why would Onder take a walk all by himself at night when he knows someone already tried to kill him. Likewise all these characters who roam around with no protection!!
• Why do these folks live in a house with NO window treatments and... even Nihan's bedroom, is totally open. Is Kemal's house right on the same property as Nihan's, so that the big red gates are used by both? Maybe I haven't paid enough attention to detail and that is a silly question.
Seems to me the only normal character in Kemal's family is the father. The others are all "out to lunch!"

Jarifa, thanks for recapping all the crazy as this show jumps full speed on the crazy train. It seems that the whole premise of this show is about letting society and your family control you. Yikes...talk about a toxic family situation between Ubaldo and Dora trying to control the narrative of their family's past and Nora and Flora becoming innocent victims . Sour, bitter Dora was shamed and punished for getting pregnant out of wedlock which wasn't uncommon back in the day.And Ubaldo becomes an abusive husband and father and a corrupt politician . Nora leads a loveless life with her controlling, abusive sister who continually shames and restricts her due to her unhappiness. So much wasted time and wasted lives. UGH. Hug your own family .

AMOT, so many unanswered questions. Thought the same thing about the fishbowl windows and the close properties. Works for plot because they can "spy" and "run into" each other. There was some hullabaloo when Kemal bought the place. Those windows make me shiver with last night's snow on the ground.

Nina, you asked on Monday whether Nihan told Kemal the truth about the blackmail re brother and why she married Emir [when Kemal was boo-hooing in the car]. No, she didn't tell him the full story, just begged that the life of her brother as at stake and if Kemal loved her even a little he would meet her on the hill and give her the USB drives. Which, despite hbis stab wound bleeding and her not noticing, he did.

I think Kemal was sobbing in that car scene because he realized Nihan ultimately didn't trust him, that he tried his best to investigate what happened and couldn't go any further. And I think this is why he is now so cold to her.

Nett, interesting Qs re parentage. As far as I know Vildan is bio-Mom. I haven't picked up on the hints you mention. Recently tho in separate scenes Vildan and Nihan acknowledge they don't have a "real" mother-daughter relationship. And totally agree on the visual appeal.

Tuesday night's epi, Kemal wakes up in the hospital with Nihan and Leyla at his bedside. Kemal to Nihan, harshly: "thanks for your help, but get out of here." When Leyla questions his attitude, he says he tried, but Nihan "doesn't want out of her captivity."

Emir arrives at the hospital and is introduced to Leyla as Kemal's friend.

Still in the white gown, Nihan in her studio looking at the USBs, which are numbered sequentially. Nihan, upset, sees a body being dragged out. Emir finds her there and she diverts him by asking about his mother. Suddenly Emir and Nihan are at Emir's ma's bedside, and Emir is lecturing Nihan on what it means to be a mother [?] Why didn't Emir tell Nihan earlier, Nihan asks? Emir's pa Galip didn't want him to.

When Nihan tells her pa Onder Kemal was stabbed, Onder says get rid of those USBs ASAP or you could be in danger.

Kemal's family and Leyla converge at the glassy house. Asu calls and is on her way. Family leaves in taxi, Leyla walks away in the snow [does she live near there too?] When Emir drives by and sees Leyla on the street, he calls his blond asst Tufan and orders him to investigate Leyla. Hmmm.

Nihan made lentil soup! For the second time in her life! We see her stirring in the kitchen before she proudly marches it over to Kemal. Kemal rejects it, as well as her offer to tend to his wound, bleeding into his sweater. Kemal: "I don't like lentil soup; I don't need you." Walking away, Nihan sees Asu arrive and tenderly bandage his wound. Those big, uncovered windows again!

Side note, Google says Amor Eterno was originally broadcast in two seasons, the first being 34 episodes and the second 39. So we are now past the end of the first season. Thinking back, the break was probably around the time of the suspended cable car drama?

JUNTOS. Another great recap, Jarifa, and good job of making as much sense as possible out of the slice and dice. But...what has happened to the fun, "camp" La Burra? So appropriate for Pancho's character. The new one is just an Oreos ad. It's so sweet that all the good guys are reconciled--though I'm not sure how realistic. Diego is remarkably accepting of the possibility that his dad could be a murderer. The Polita appearance is weird, though cute and positive. It seems to have come from some other type of tn. Good for Temo's standing up to Ubaldo and Nora to Dora! Those threats and intimidation just don't work any more. And I am starting to question Ubaldo's intelligence as well as his character. A hit out on Oleg after Andres's questionable death and the attempted murders of Ari and Carlota? All with connections to Ubaldo? Not to mention that Oleg has been criticizing Ubaldo both in print and on tv and Ubaldo just destroyed Oleg's daughter's reputation? And Ubaldo doesn't realize that if anything happened to Oleg he would be the prime suspect? Hmm.

I'm a bit ashamed that I feel as though I saw a different show than you recapped. I was so confused and just couldn't follow things. You did an absolutely amazing job - as you always do.

Of course my favorite was "The kids have Pancho sit down as Ari tells him the one responsible for the attack on him and Carlota and forvthe death of Andrés is Ubaldo. The dog even agrees". Loved it.

"Ari and the kids start seeing and hearing all kinds of signs that Polita is near them in the apartment. Little Arqui smiles". I was glad he smiled. I did not.

"Ari sees the bananas aa a sign from his mother that they are going to be happy again. Polita watches them just beaming". Why couldn't she beam in person??? I know, I've been like a dog with a bone lately. I can't. Let it. Go. Something's not right when the only source of joy is from a dead character. Seriously! :)

"While he is talking, we see that Diego didn’t hit Temo again but gave him a hug and Professor Collins stopped by to see a smiling Soledad with some gifts" was a little bit of light as was "Temo asks if Diego his friend will forgive him. Diego says they are not friends but brothers and they hug".

I've no problem with the drama but it's love that has disappeared from this series. But, your recaps make it all worthwhile Jarifa.

JUNTOS, EL CORAZÓN NUNCA SE EQUIVOCA Capítulo 17 Wed. 9/4/19 Part 1

Mateo is working in Ubaldo’s office. (His office has a lot of vertical and horizontal black lines so it looks like a cage or a prison cell to me) He notices that Ubaldo is on edge and asks if he can help Ubaldo by getting him some pills or something. He then asks about his three sisters. Ubaldo has had enough of Mateo acting like a nurse and being nosy so he tells him to go work elsewhere.

Ubaldo paces around the office and looks at the family photo on his desk. He then remembers being in the forest with Andrés. Andrés had been lying down on a blanket. It looks like he was having a picnic by himself. He might have passed out because he opens his eyes and is shocked to see Ubaldo looming over him.mateo told him not to lie anymore because he was well aware of what Ubaldo would do to get what he wanted. Andrés cannot get up. He is having a hard time just raising his head to talk. He tells Ubaldo to just admit that he is a killer. Andrés tells him that he discovered that he killed his sister Dora’s novio and that he made it impossible for her to reunite with her son. He accuses Ubaldo of being the devil himself. Ubaldo throws a little plastic ball against the wall in anger as he remembers.

Oleg and Dora are still at the LAWYER’S office ( I watched this episode with subtitles and the little old man was labeled as ABOGADO) Dora has concluded that the reason for not being able to find her son is that he has a different name. The lawyer has no other information for Oleg on his son. He cannot offer either of them any other information.

Nora doesn't want to be a burden to Soledad by staying with her and Diego. Soledad doesn’t see her that way and suggests that they get a house together. Nora lets it be known that she is not as alone as she might seem. Nora hopes that Soledad feels the same way about her as she does now after she tells her who she really is.

Temo, Diego, Ari, Carlota and the puppy talk Pancho into dealing with Ubaldo because he is the closest one to him as his friend. Pancho feels like he is between a rock and a hard place.. If what they say is true, they can count on him to see justice is done. He needs whatever proof they have that Ubaldo is evil. He will take care of them and protect them them.

Nora has confessed something to Soledad but we do not know what. She is now telling Soledad how she has to finally be free after all these years. She fears that Soledad won’t be friends with her now that she has told her whatever she is tell her. Soledad will still be friends with her. She tells Nora what a wonderful person and friend she is.
 

JUNTOS Part 2

As they leave the lawyer’s office, Dora tells Oleg that she has to investigate more now. Oleg will help her. She feels her son is closer all the time.

Eduardo arrives at the kids’ apartment and says everything is ready. Ari tells Pancho Temo, Diego and Carlota that his mother made an appointment with them. Pancho has to go see how things are going at Polita’s foundation. Temo announces that he wants to be an activist and not a politician. Ari and Pancho think that is something he will be great at. Temo has decidedto fight for everyone else’s rights.

Professor Collins has taken Soledad out for coffee. He tells her how beautiful she is. They chat.

Back at the apartment, Polita is a no-show so Ari tells everyone to just go and do whatever they were going to do. Ari wants to stay there by himself a little while. Everyone looks disappointed.

Pancho is outside of the orphanage talking with a rep from the orphanage about the plans for the Polita foundation to help both single mothers and single fathers. In that way they will also help the children. They all agree. Temo arrives with a huge ball to play with the kids amd they do.Temo has gotten a message from Elsa who would like him to help her at her new civil foundation. Pancho is proud of his son.Temo looks happy. It is time to play with the ball. As Pancho and Temo leave, they talk about their mixed emotions about Ubaldo. Temo informs Pancho that Carlota’s father discovered something about Ubaldo. Pancho is going to go talk to Oleg. They have to act.

Oleg and Dora leave the lawyer’s office.Oleg notices the fixer guy spying on them and recording them. Oleg confronts him and a fist fight breakers out. Oleg has no success getting any information from the fixer guy. He overcomes Oleg and escapes.

Back at the coffee date, Collins thinks about everything he loves about Soledad. He tells her how he admires her more every day. He tells her that he is in love with her. They kiss.

Ari is at home alone when his phone starts transmitting static. He smiles hopefully and calls out to his mother as he walks from room to room. Just when he thinks all is lost, he hears his mother call out to him; addressing him as “son.” He turns and there she is in a beam of light.

As Pancho and Temo sit on the orphanage steps, a melancholy Temo talks about how bad the loss of a mother is but then has to say that the loss of a father would be that bad, too. Pancho smiles and says he just met his obligation as a father. In tears, Temo insists that he went far behind that. So many fathers don’t do that because they don’t care. He tells Pancho to just look at the kids from the orphanage. Pancho admits he could never take the place of his mother but Temo never lacked love growing up. Temo is just so grateful with how Pancho has cared for them and accepted them unconditionally. Pancho thinks that is how all fathers should act with unconditional love. Today more than ever Pancho can prove himself to be the hero Temo.can depend on. The orphanage director thanks Pamcho for his help.
 

JUNTOS Part 3

Ari is in tears talking to the ever glowing Polita telling her that all he wanted was a few moments to see her again. He says he never said he loved her enough. She agrees that she didn’t either. Polita tells him not to get little Arqui because she doesn’t have much time. Her appearance is a rare gift because he needs to hear what she has to say. She will try to come back later but does not know if she will be able to. She says she died so unexpectedly she was unable to say goodbye to them. She tells him that life just ends without any warning. We spend life preoccupied by silly things like success and money that are temporary, too. She tells him to live life intensely and without fear. Give as many people as he can the gift of love. He can live knowing with the certainty that she is always by his side taking care of him and his little brother. She adds that anytime he sees a light anywhere, he needs to remember that she loves him and little Arqui for all eternity. He says they love her for all of eternity, too. He asks if he can give her a hug. She beams and nods. He puts his arms around her and he is embracing nothing. She is gone. Ari sobs all alone amd remembers what she said.

Back at the café shop, Soledad tells Collins that she is just getting out of her marriage and she needs to heal her pain, enjoy her time, get know herself better, amp recognize she has talent. Also, she is starting a new sculpture collection called “freedom”. She knows she can do it on her own and doesn’t need a man to support her. She would like him to be a great friend if he is interested. Yes, he would like to always be that unconditional friend for her. She wants to be better and stronger to help her son Diego. He is the love of her life.

Ubaldo keeps leaving the fixer guy Galván messages saying he has to know if Oleg found out something.

After the fixer guy escapes, Oleg is sure that Ubaldo is the killer. During the fight the fixer guy said that people were a mixture of good and evil and it depended on us whether we let out hearts or reason rule us. Oleg remembers his son telling him the same thing verbatim.

The fixer guy talks to Ubaldo on his cell as he is running away..He didn’t kill Oleg because Dora was there. Ubaldo is not happy.

Dora goes into Nora’s bedroom and it seems that she is missing her and feeling guilty. She remembers Nora telling her that she just lost another sister.

Eduardo is going to use all of his contacts to see if he can find Dora’s son.

Temo comes in and sees Ari in tears. Ari tells him about his mother’s visit. They hug.

Oleg tells Elsa that he discovered that Ubaldo was the person who ordered the killing of their son and he met the killer himself today.
 

JUNTOS Part 4

Oleg knows how he is going to bring Ubaldo down.

Seeing his mother gave Ari a sense of peace. Temo tells Ari that his mother is with them everyday in every memory. He is so happy that Ari could see her. Ari agrees but it doesn’t take away the feeling that life snatched her away from him. Ari tells hm she said she would try to come back. Ari would only want title Arqui to be able to see her and hug her. Temo knows it is not the same but he will be there to give Ari all the the hugs in the world. Ari agrees he needs them so much. Temo hugs a sobbing Ari.

Eduardo talks to Dora about finding her son. He will do his best. Little Arqui agrees. He asks if he should contact Ubaldo. Dora decidedly says NO!

Ari talks to Temo. After hearing Temo talk about the orphanage,he realizes so many children need their parents. Ari is going to follow his mother’s advice and live intensely every moment. He wants each of those moments to be with Temo. Temo says they will always be together. Ari reminds him that the heart is ever wrong.

Carlota talks to her father Oleg saying that jer mother said that he had a plan to go against Uabldo. Oleg admits that he does have a plan but the less she knows about it the better. Sneaks him not to do something foolish. He says the follisjphnthing was when he left the family when his kids needed him the most.

At campaign headquarters, Ubaldo show Pancho a bank of TVs that will keep him informed about everything that goes on in the city. Pancho tells him about the Polita foundation being housed at an orphanage. Ubaldo offers to help out Pancho with whatever he needs.
With all of the TV sets, Pancho tells Ubaldo he will have to be careful with all of his dirty laundry. The secretary decides it is time for her and Mateo to leave. Ubaldo wants to know what Pancho meant with the “dirty laundry” crack.

Oleg is on the phone asking someone to do an analysis of some of his son’s medication. It is urgent he find a out what is in it.

Pancho talks fast and says Ubaldo has been having problems with his image so they are going to bleach it all so it is pure white.

At the kids apartment, Thiago is asking Ari what his decision is about going on tour with him. Temo, Julio and Lupita think he should do it. Little Arqui sits and watches. Ari is hesitant. Little Arqui says their mom would have wanted him to go. After hearing that, Ari decides to go.

Soledad tells Nora and Diego her decision to remain just friends with Collins. She explains that she can do it all on her own without a man. Anyway, she has the love of her life: Diego Soledad is sure he will be finding the love of his life soon. Soledad explains to Nora that real family are people who accept you as you are and they will never let her go. Diego goes to hug her and Soledad follows.

Pancho walks in on Eduardo working on finding Dora’s son. Pancho offers to help in spite of being tired. Eduardo asks Pancho what is up with Dora and Ubaldo since she didn’t want him involved in the search for her son. Pancho brushes it off and says they better get working.

In communications class, Professor Collins points out that Carlota had the best assignment over all. One of the male studies comments alluding to her getting the best grade was because she is a female. Carlota has her moments in class handling the sexism of some of her fellow male students.

Eduardo gives Dora results of his investigation. He has found her son Salvador. She is not very surprised when she sees who it is. He has been so close by.

In the library, Mateo tells Temo that Ari told him that Temo wants to focus on activism. He tells Temo that strength can also be found in kindness. Temo smiles.

Ari talks to Carlota into being in charge of filming his videos and Diego into being his manager

An incensed Dora calls Ubaldo and interrupts a meeting with Him and Pancho. She has something to tell him and wants him to come home now. She calls him a liar and says she will be waiting for him.He has no idea what is going on.

Oleg has found out that somebody adulterated his son’s medication.

I so enjoyed the magical appearance of Polita and her advice. That was the highlight for me.

It also was good to see the kids moving on with their loves: Temo choosing activism and Ari taking advantage of going with Thiago on tour, etc.

Emir and his father talk. They conclude Kemal stole the usb.

Kemal lets Asu know in no uncertain terms that she can leave his home now. She wants to know where he’s going but he doesn’t tell her. He leaves the home agitated.

Zeynep is at the bus stop and calls Emir. He smirks and rejects the phone call. She gets upset and calls herself stupid.

Emir is busy taking to his blonde employee, who’s investigating Leyla. At first they both conclude that she’s a long lost relative of Vildan’s. Later on the employee happens to see a deed in which Leyla transfers property to Vildan. Emir concludes they are sisters and can’t wait to use that on his next family blackmail.

Kemal is at the police station looking at mugshots. He identifies one of the persons in the assault, but tells the officer that he recognizes no one. At the park he gets a girl to do a blind portrait of the man who stabbed him. She claims he has been her most difficult customer. Soon enough Kemal is with Zahir, and gives him the portrait, telling him he needs to bring him that man. Zahir also lets Kemal know that he is their most difficult customer, but Kemal believes there have been others worse than him.

Emir is soon in the car with Tariq. This one is trying to return the loan check money back to Emir, since his barbershop business failed. Emir chooses to let Tariq keep the money, as he helped save the father in law’s life. Tariq smiles.

Nihan is with Yasemin. She’s on the treadmill while Yasemin tells her that she’s jealous of Asu. Nihan refuses to accept it. She claims it’s her responsibility as a human to be very concerned for Kemal’s health. In the next scene, she’s using the weights when her father comes and lets her know that Emir suspects Kemal stole the usb. He tells her she needs to get rid of the evidence immediately, but she tells him she has other plans.

Kemal is driving and calls Salih. He doesn’t answer. He’s still lying motionless in his living room.

Zahir gets the guy tied up and blindfolded for Kemal. As soon as he arrives, he demands to know who his accomplice was. The guy refuses to say anything, and Kemal and Zahir resort to a bit of violence. Still not getting a result, Kemal tells Zahir to let he man sit there for a night or two, and they’ll see if he changes his mind.

Salih finally listens to Kemal’s voicemail. Still upset (or hungover), he says he will go see what his brother wants.


 

AMOR ETERNO (2)

Kemal returns home to find Asu still there. He tries again to get her to leave, but she refuses. He doesn’t fight her much and goes to his room, slamming the door. Asu calls Kemal’s mother and lets her know she’s still there to take care of him.

At night, Nihan is aware that Asu is still there. Curiosity gets the best of her and she messages Kemal, asking if he’s ok. Asu happens to see it right when Kemal enters the dining area. She lets him know he received a message. Kemal sees it but doesn’t answer. He sits down to eat, noticing the empanadas. He thanks Asu, but lets her know he won’t be able to finish it all.

Nihan takes her purse and leaves as soon as she sees Emir’s car enter the driveway. On her way to her red car, Emir addresses her and demands to know where she’s going. She claims she’s going to see Emir’s father, claiming she needs to pick up her medicine, but Emir says he’s not home. She then says she will go out for fresh air instead.

Third time was the charm: Kemal finally gets rid of Asu. He looks at Nihan’s message.

Emir is tailing Nihan. It seemed like she noticed his car. She pulls in at Emir’s father’s home. She goes into the study, trying to put the evidence back into the safe, but Emir enters the gate and parks. He goes up to the study and catches her at the safe. He knows she’s guilty and asks if she’s seen all the tapes. He gets dismayed that she doesn’t trust him. She chooses to leave but then he gets bothered and wants to know how she knew the combination for the safe. He makes her open it again. She mentions the numbers 17, 17: the time Emir was given his father.

In a scene taken out of place, Salih leaves Kemal’s house all distraught. Just then Nihan calls Kemal to ask for the combination. He gets frantic and calls Zahir for the numbers, then gives them to Nihan. She opened the safe just before Emir entered the home and shushed the maid.

Poljta appearing to Ari was hard to watch. It hit very close to home because losing anyone you Love is awful, but if it is sudden and unexpected, you are plunged into shock and despair. I still don't understand why the writers to kill off the one bright spot in this show.I am ready to move on to another show.

JUNTOS. Superb recap, Jarifa! I had completely missed the remark that Ubaldo had killed Dora's novio. Good call on the prison motif of Ubaldo's office--foreshadowing, anyone? Ok, they keep teasing us about the identity of Dora's son. Is Oleg the main candidate again? After all, he has been around a long time. They also keep teasing us about Nora's love interest. That hitman is remarkably inept!

Susanlynn, it must be an unwritten telenovela rule that you cannot leave well enough alone with beloved characters. Polita’s death was not necessary to make this a good story. It isn’t a heavy drama like “The Walking Dead” where NO character major or minor is ever safe.,

SpanProf, I am just hoping that all of the facts about everything are clear at the end so we know what exactly happened to those disappeared, dead or still living. I wonder if Ubaldo has the fixer guy/hitman on a retainer. LOL

It was half, now it's whole.

Last night, the emotions were palpably sad and a bit heartbreaking but without the words, the actions and outward emotions were empty.

Jarifa, thank you for writing the lyrics to these (mostly sad) laments so I could understand. Your writing is simply superb in its seeming simplicity. Yet, it is carefully crafted and just lovely.

I was crying last night when Polita appeared and did so again now. "She says she died so unexpectedly she was unable to say goodbye to them. She tells him that life just ends without any warning. We spend life preoccupied by silly things like success and money that are temporary, too. She tells him to live life intensely and without fear. Give as many people as he can the gift of love". It had to be repeated in its entirety.

There is no greater pain than to have a loved one die without having that one last, final conversation. We cry to utter and to hear "I love you" before their life ceases. While that is not possible for most, it was here. Polita's last gift to her son was one of inner peace. She consoled and counseled and strengthened. Inspiring.

The heart and soul of this are the children and young adults struggling to find their way, with each other and with Pancho, Soledad and Eduardo.

"Temo says they will always be together. Ari reminds him that the heart is ever wrong". I will take his word...

I sure hope Eduardo is not Dora's son. After losing Polita, he certainly does not deserve to have that pain Dora for a bio-mother. She will smother him with her controlling love.

Ubaldo was quite young when Dora was pregnant. If Ubaldo killed Dora's novio, wondering how old he was at the time.

Diana, thank you. Truth be told the writers were at their best last night and I was lucky my translation skills hadn’t given up on me yet. You and I both shed a few tears more than once with the Polita scene. “There is no greater pain than to have a loved one die without having that one last final conversation.” says it all. Yes, Ari was given the gift of “inner peace” that he needed as you stated. I also liked that everyone joined with Ari and waited with him when he thought Polita would be coming by and I liked that nobody seemed to think it was unusual. Finally, it was gratifying to see Ari take Polita’s words to heart and start to move on with his future. You stated the theme so well: “children and young adults struggling to find their way.” I am expecting a happy ending.

Niecie, I am with you 100% about Eduardo not being Dora’s son. Eduardo is too nice of a person to deserve that. I wonder when Ubaldo killed the novio. Was Ubaldo always a “bad seed”? Since he must have been young at the time of the pregnancy, did he just wait until he was older?
 

Hmmm... Maybe Solidad's new beau is Dora's long lost son !

My hope is that whoever it is, Dora's son will quickly put an end to her imperial commands. A grown man who hasn't grown up with her will need all his skills - first, to digest the news and second, not to get eaten alive. Ack.
