at the end of Emilia's interview she talks of a son, asks that he get in touch with her, Alex is realizing everything his dad told him was a lie.

Cg calls Val, (who is under suspension) and tells her Calvo said Yessica was very close, and mentioned your name, Cg wants an explanation, meet me now, nope, Val has an engagement with Alf, ok, Cg was going to that anyway, Cg wants Nat to tag along, she'll get her a clearance and clothes, Ivan and the Colonel will stay at the hospital with Calvo, before she leaves Nat tells Ivan she loves him.

the Shadow gang congrats Emilia on her interview, (I like that cross on the wall with the green light behind it) Rog gets a call (Diabla), she wants the reward for Hand, sends a pic of him, time stamp today. (guess we don't need to put today's newspaper in his lap anymore)

Hilda talks to Alex, she'll have to spill about him to Cg, she wants him to back her up, it's the right thing to do, Sal adds, you mean turn in my dad, after a thoughtful pause, he smashes a glass on Sal's head and makes a run for it.

Sasha rolls unconscious Hand into the pool hall, she doesn't want the reward, it's a gift.

we next see Sasha at Diabla's lair talking on the phone to her, she's now in charge of Al, Diabla knows how russian ladies are and warns her off, he's mine.

Cg and Nat arrive at Alf's affair, Titi is watching on the tube and calls his guys, they break out the Diabla signs with Val's pic on them, and start chanting, Cg asks Val for an explanation, Val blames Nat and slaps her, Cuina likes that Titi is beating Diabla at her own game, she also has eyes for Cg, hmm, to calm things down Alf and gang move to a private room while Nat grabs the lead protestor.

the Hand awakes in the dark pool hall, tied to a chair, surrounded by the hateful eyes of the gang, each with their own personal grudge.

Marcela has shown the judge Paola's video, they need to present Jota, Vane takes her to DEA hq so they can research the fights, they see the fight venue on line.

Jota is creating a ruckus, with his hands around his keepers throat and a gun to his head, the keeper smooths things by saying he has an ok for Jota to call his wife, after the fight.

Alf and Val return to the affair while Cg questions the protestor, not much she can do but as he's leaving asks how much he was paid, ah so he was, so that queers the deal.

one eyed Moncho takes his girlfriend home to meet Mom, this doesn't go so well.

Shadow wants word on his kid, Hand says he's dead, but mine is alive, ka-pow to his face, while Rog gets a call from Alex, Rog wants proof, later gets some id, Santi sees it's Sebas' friend, it knocks him over.

Mom checks out Mari, what cartel?, Las Babies Mari proudly replies, Mom has a laugh, but has a deal, she wants help taking down Aunt Cuina's cartel, Moncho explains his family has problems too, Mom finds out Mari's problems are with her DEA chief mom, and out comes her gun accusing Moncho of sleeping with the enemy, he steps in front, I will vouch for her with my life.

Jota and Al talk between bars before the fight, Jota likes Al's new keeper over his own, but doesn't think he can take any more pills, Al says they will escape.

Cg shakes down Val, she breaks, but gets a call from her mom, oh and one from Santi who tells of Sebas friend Alex, the Hand's kid, (but not about Hand as Shadow swears him off), Cg puts her mom on conference call and she adds to the story, she'll pick up Sebas, and they'll get Alex to the pool hall for a meet.

back to Val, she has been blackmailed by Diabla, she is a double agent, a spy Cg proclaims, how much did she pay you, Val tells of her brother, she has a witness, Al is a hostage too, where Cg demands, Val talks of the fight.

Shadow circles Hand telling him all the ways he would like to see him die but instead of killing him, he wants to see him die inside, as our guys return, followed by Alex... me hijo...numerous people say.

will this be too much for Cg to process, will she even make an arrest?

My eyes may be playing tricks, and google wasn't much help, but the actress playing Moncho's mom is probably the same who played Abigail the witch (Carlos' Diabla-murdered ex wife and mother of Paola-murdered Sandra). Patricia Maldonado searches didn't bring up anything for this latest season.

El Final del Paraíso

Another impactful episode.

Un regalo: Moncho’s mom, Reina, has captured Rod. They will use him for safe conduct to Colombia. Reina has a plan. To start, Rod must contact the hacker, Mariño.

Round table discussion at speech venue (Berrio, Lu, Nat in attendance): Poor Valeria, Yesica Beltran has been holding her hostage this entire time. She didn’t say anything out of fear for her little brother’s life. Oh, Cata, I thought you would understand more than anyone else. When Cata is less than sympathetic, Valeria lays it on, you have no idea what I went through and now you treat me like a criminal?!

At Shadow’s: Alex struggles to process all that has happened. What to believe, who to believe. Hand is manipulating. Shadow gang pleads for Alex to listen to the truth.

Jota’s handler, Quique says you help me, I’ll help you. The boss says you can talk to your wife after the fight. Here, take your pill. Q is also having a difficult time with Albeiro’s handler, Sasha; she’s constantly screaming for him. Jota pretends to take the pill then adds the contents to Q’s water bottle after he goes.

Ivan is keeping vigil at the hospital. It’s touch and go with Calvo. Ivan is all weepy about dad. (I thought he was a tough guy, but Ivan is really a softy.) Later, Ivan sees his dad through the ICU window. The nurse says Calvo has a better chance if he can make it through the night. Both Granados and the nurse tell Ivan to have faith. But Ivan says how can you have faith in a God that gives some an easy life and others a shitty one.

Round table: CataG will press charges against Diabla for illegal privation of freedom. Valeria asks, will I be arrested? Cata says no, there are no charges against you, yet. But if you are telling the truth you will be charged with hiding a criminal. Starting now, Valeria will be under 2/7 custody.

Santi tells Alex we didn’t know about you, we only wanted justice to be done. Alex wants to know why dad lied about mom. Technically he didn’t and Emilia has to agree. Alex blows up. Hand continues to manipulate Alex—son, you can’t believe them, they are criminals and Emilia is crazy. Shadow yells at Hand to shut up and hits him. Alex goes after Shadow—don’t touch him! Bio father and son face off.

Berrio hands Valeria’s documents over to Cata. Lu confirms they are legit. Berrio and Valeria go to leave for the speech. But before, Valeria asks Cata to find Albeiro, he will tell the truth. She will give his location.

Sal tells Hilda she should take time to care for herself. Don’t try to fix everyone’s problems. Hilda says I’m a mom that’s what I do.

El Final del Paraíso

CataG tells Nat, we need concrete evidence to unmask Valeria. Cata acknowledges Diabla could have had a face transplant. She is hesitant because there is documentation that proves Valeria exists. First things though, they need to verify the info Valeria gave. They have to find Albeiro and dismantle the fight network.

Marcela calls CataG with fight news. Cata takes this as confirmation of Valeria’s info. Everyone meets at the DEA office to strategize. They will go to the fight site.

Alex is still working through these revelations. He calls Santi a liar and criminal. Emilia wants to talk. Alex doesn’t understand why she abandoned him. No, that’s not the case. Hand breaks in, you can’t change his mind, he’s a good kid but I also taught him to be ruthless and unyielding. Tough as nails, Alex. Shadow says, what have you done to my son? Hand reminds him, he’s my son. Shadow pulls a gun on Hand. Hand dares him—kill me in front of my son, come on, do it.

Sasha is checking Albeiro out as he readies for the fight.

Berrio has confidence in Valeria. Do you think you deserve a woman like me, she asks? Berrio gives his speech. Lu is still suspicious of Valeria.

Back at the station, Granados is frustrated that Calvo is in a coma and unable to say more. A cop comes in with an anonymous tip—Aaron Mondego is in a pool hall. We got him! Granados brings this info to Cata. Cata and Vane realize that Hand is with the Shadow gang and now Santi is in danger. Cata has to warn him.

Rod brings Reina and crew to Mariño. She threatens him with a chainsaw. Let’s talk about Moncho. Mariño is just a hacker, not a thug. Reina shoots Rod dead and says that’s what happens when you mess with my son. She puts her gun in Mariño’s mouth.

Meanwhile, Mari tells Moncho she does not want to be in debt to his mom. She wants to solve the situation on their own. Mari pulls out the flash drive with the XY5 formula and says, the whole world wants this. We can use it to fix this mess and thank mom for her help. Moncho thinks this is a great idea. Mari asks about Cuina but Moncho says family matters, I’ll tell you later.

Diabla checks in with Sasha. Albeiro wants Diabla to stop Jota’s fight (wont’ happen) and the police should be on their way to get Hand. Diabla says good, I need all those bastards to be arrested. Sasha will be well rewarded. Lu walks up behind her…who are you rewarding? Valeria feels she doesn’t have to answer. Lu says when you agreed to be first lady, you gave up your right to privacy. All your movements will be followed.

Diabla says, are you saying you are a spy? A double agent? A woman with two faces who goes undercover with a face transplant to get info? How interesting, says Lu. I did this with Diabla, your kidnapper. I spent time undercover with Yesica Beltran. Didn’t she tell you? Lu continues, your safety is of the utmost importance, especially since you are going to unmask Diabla. Valeria has advice for Lu---the truth always hurts.

Hand says Alex won’t believe anything Emilia says. And did you think it would be easy to get justice at your own hands? Why haven’t you killed me yet? Santi answers, killing you would be to easy on you. You deserve worse. Cata interrupts with a call.

Cata wants to know what’s going on. Santi says he was going to contact her, we have Hand. Cata says you’re in danger, Hand’s people are going to find him. No Cata, Hand’s people sold him out. She’s shocked. Cata and Vane try to figure out prioties—Al and Jota or Santi? I gather that Cata will buy time and solve this by sending Granados to handle the fight.

Valeria is upset with Berrio. He’s defending Lu, she’s just doing her job. She says Lu is protecting Berrio but hurting her. Berrio doesn’t understand. Valeria thinks it’s best to break up. What? Rafael shows up to take Valeria into custody. See, I’m not the woman for you, Alfonso. And she’s taken away.

Mariño tells Reina that the guy who wants Moncho killed is very powerful. He shows her a pic, it’s Hand. Wow, she’s shocked and pleasantly surprised. Her Moncho is moving up in the world. Who’d a thunk it! Her son with El Mero Mero! That’s great! Reina will pay more than Hand to have Mariño work for her.

Quique is feeling the effects of the drug. Sasha screams for him. Where’s Albeiro’s pill? Al and Sasha are sure Q has taken a dose. Meanwhile Jota empties his second dose into a glass of water.

Emilia and Alex talk. He can’t believe her. She has more to tell him—his true origins. Your bio mom is dead but your bio dad is Shadow. This is a lot for him to take in. She loves him as her own and asks for forgiveness. He can’t forgive because her revenge is based on his dad’s suffering.

Diabla is being watched by a sleeping Rafael. She gets a call from Hell—it’s El Titi! You better cooperate. Who is this? Cuina gets on the line, if you want to know who we are, follow our instructions. We will soon meet face to face. End call. Titi says do you think she’ll talk? Cuina says, hope so. They drink to that.

Mariño makes a call to Hand’s emergency number. It’s Diabla who answers. Reina speaks, where’s Hand? He’s gone, now I’m Black Hand. Reina says then you can reward me. I’m the one who killed some fools you were looking for, Mari and Moncho! Diabla is taken aback. Afterwards, Reina says to Mariño, pack up you’re coming with me. Take your computer and trust me. Her henchies then shoot up the place, destroying his remaining equipment.

Hand warns Santi and Shadow--this is too much for you to handle. Santi says maybe, but this is the end for you. Alex is sneaks in behind them, picks up a bat and whacks Shadow. Hand says smirking, yeah, Alex! Good boy! And we’re out.

"let's party", ha! Reina has her boys shoot up Mariño's life work, kind of fascinating how she beats down the guys and then tells them to act like a man, Cuina does the same thing.

it drives me nuts how novela's play with the time, it's 2 hours before the fight and Quique (what happened to Manotas) is handing out pills, the Colonel is ready to go out the door and wrap up the Hand, while Cata is deciding what to do, and as usual everyone will probably get the plan as they are outside the door ready to break in, but this one is complicated by who goes where, and she didn't even tell Santi they were coming.

Unfortunately, Luzma's getting pulled back into the life. Corina wanted to get better medical treatment for Colon; I wonder how that will work out for both. Yes, add war criminal to the list of Volpi's evil doings.

In addition:

Pio, Evelina, Joaquin and Violeta go Cancun after Pio “invites” Jaime to host them. Berenice gets a flashback to her dad’s assassination when she meets Pio. It’s explained away.

In Greece, Amado and Athina find sunken diamonds and drugs. Amado can’t make a deal with Volpi and prepares war.

Ambar meets with Joe Navarro at a shopping mall. Chema followed her intending to kill Joe. He starts a shootout at the food court. This messes up the Casillas Cartel plans for a junta de narcos.

Alba, with Pulque, takes Isidro and Beto and goes to stay with Esther. Alba warns Esther, Jaime isn’t good for Berenice.

Dylan has something on Cabo! He knows Pio = Cabo. Ha!

Jaime is willing to serve Diana to Pio on a silver platter.

Carla is back with the caravan. She helps the woman who made the deal with Fidencio to get treatment for her sick child. Carla asks her where is your husband?

Isturiz is messing around with both Ambar and Alejandra.

Amado has Volpi in his sights but Nikos stops him from shooting.

Dylan locates Chema and contacts Pio. They show up at Chema’s to attack. Greñas finds out about the plan. Isma calls Chema to warn of an attack, just as Pio launches his bazooka.
