El Dragón #72, 1/6/20: The Shit Hits the Fan
Labels: dragon
So Taco prances out onto the streets in broad daylight, finds each and every reporter in CDMX, ambushes them at gunpoint, threatens them, commits to their memory EXACTLY what to print, disappears, they do as told, all their bosses print the bogus story without confirming it, everyone believes it, and NOT ONE of the reporters was carrying his own gun and blows Taco's brains out right there on the sidewalk?
OK if I believe all that, I assume I can believe that Adela actually STILL Luuuurves the Migster.
Carlos fed Edna the most unbelievable load of pigshit I have ever heard. Too bad Hector does not have an actual CAMERA and could have gotten some decent photos, maybe of them shaking hands or actually standing face to face talking.
I think Miguel's treatment of Adela's foundation for battered women is the beginning of the end for him. That along with the murders of Leopold and Karina. It's too bad. I had some hope for the character as he began to lighten up and show some emotion. Instead it seems Chisca will be the one to survive Karmagedon. The writes have flipped both their personalities.
I was as glad to see Hans go as I was Valentin. He was scary and the worst of the worst. And there's a lot of it on this show. I thought the two of them made Tacho seem almost cuddly.
Edna tells Gary about Montero’s death? Really, this is the first time he heard of it? It was all, over the news!
Couldn’t believe that for a second.....
I won't be sorry when this series ends. Action and dialogue too fast for me to do my best work. Sadly, the new Rubi will also debut simultaneously in Mexico and the US.
The crimes in this wee impossible to keep track of so the Karmageddon page will have less detail. I will start working on it tomorrow.
Well, I did grow up on a farm , and my dad raised cows, steer, and then pigs. Let me tell you , pigs are nasty creatures . I was never afraid of the the steer . They were big, docile animals . They roamed the hillside, and then when my dad wanted to feed them , he called "Here, yammy, yammy, yammy" and they came running for their dinner like The barncats. However, the pigs were huge and scary..especially the sows with piglets . I remember having nightmares of hiding in the garage becAuse the pigs got out of their pen. So Epig is a good name for this dude.
I agree that there is much more violence and crime in this TN than I expected. And I really expected that the "Dragon" was going to try to turn things around in the capo world, but never did I think that he would be a criminal himself. And now he has pulled Adela into his dark world and made her one of "them." I think I was more disappointed in Adela than any of the other characters. She had been my heroine up until she ignored the fact that Miguel had Karina killed. Now she is upset about the foundation and worries about the women and children. Well, why doesn't she take them to that island Miguel bought for her? I hope she turns herself around before she gets to the "sow" level.
Kirby, I had to put double straps on my beanie; and it still wanted to fly off during the Tacoboy threats and Duarte's load of pigshit.
UA, 6 years ago, I would have made the same statement, "I have never been nor will ever be on a farm!" I was an educator and school administrator up until I retired. Look at me now! with 30 goats and too many chickens to count. No pigs, though; and from what Susanlynn wrote, I sure am glad I don't!
Ha
I wonder if Adela is secretly okay with Karina being dead. After all, she probably doesn't like having the women around who have slept with Miguel before her.
I still don't understand why the battered women's shelter must be shut down. It makes no sense. But not much in this series makes sense at all.
I wonder if the Efilina that those who died bleeding had not taken the real thing but a knock off instead. Maybe Hans provided a generic material that was no good?
I actually felt a wee tad sorry for Miguel last night. His whole world is shattering and Adela keeps going on and on about the women's shelter. Found myself thinking, "not now, Adela. Give him a chance to think." She doesn't seem to get how very complicated his ventures have become and that the feds have all his connections under a microscope. She really thinks he's Superman.
Anyhoo, Ishiro is still interesting to watch.
I look away a lot when I see the violence and blood coming though.
My grandmother had hogs on her farm, plus chickens, tobacco, corn, and fig trees. I never worked the farm, but liked watching the hogs cool off in the mud in their pen. Never seen any creatures happier at their meal time.
Adela was muy impactada when it surfaced that Mig had Karina killed.
If Ad is truly not in it for the money, and there is no more sizzle than WE have seen,
and she has talents and interests which are far, far, outside what is going on in MigWorld,
and it appears she is stuck with Jimenema in her orbit for the duration,
MAYBE it is time to sit down with Granny and think this through.
Adela might be OK with Karina being dead and it isn't like Miguel did it himself. However, his name isn't Miguel for nothing. He is the Michael Corleone of this tale whose good intentions go south.
I've heard that pigs are nasty creatures and so boar would probably be worse.
