Emir walks out of the hospital and takes a peak at Kemal and Zehir sitting outside. Tufan’s car eventually arrives, bringing with it a caravan of cars with A+ bloodtype people. They all walk out and greet Emir before entering the hospital. Emir retorts that Tufan is too little too late, and Tufan looks embarrassed. Emir then notices Ayhan’s black car parked at the front of the hospital, so he asks Tufan where Kemal’s car is. Tufan says doesn’t know, and Emir suspects that something is being hidden from him. He swears he will get to the bottom of Kemal’s whereabouts last night. Before Tufan leaves, Emir orders him to safeguard the hospital so that Kemal won’t step foot inside: “I don’t want any virus to touch Nihan.”

Kemal gets upset and was ready to confront Emir, but Zehir holds him back by reminding him that Emir is only trying to get a reaction out of him.

Emir enters the transfusion room and asks the phlebotomist if she’s done taking Zeynep’s blood yet. The lady just finishes up and as she’s about to leave, she asks Emir to make sure that Zeynep drinks her juice before she leaves the room. Zeynep wants to be as far from Emir as possible so she gets up but nearly faints against the wall, and Emir rushes to hold her up. She asks for the juice, thinking that she’s weak because she needs sugar. She takes a seat again and Emir sits in front of her, almost crying, worried that Nihan may die. Zeynep assures him that Nihan will continue living for Deniz. Emir then blankly says “She can’t leave.” Zeynep stands up to take her red coat. At first Emir asks her to sit down, but Zeynep wants to leave anyway, so he follows her out.

Kemal sits outside, waiting for news of Nihan’s operation. He asks her: “Wake up, don’t leave...stay with us, my love. Wake up...” those words seem to reach Nihan as she’s on the operation table. She starts dreaming that she’s running around in a meadow, desperately trying to find Deniz. Eventually she runs into an old, cavelike structure, looking at each dark passage, until Kemal calls out her name. He appears standing several feet ahead of her, holding Deniz. Nihan was about to go to him, until Ozan’s dark shadow appears in the passage behind her. He calls her name. Nihan turns around to look at him and says “Why are you running away from me, Ozan? Is it because I haven’t found your killer yet? I promise to find the person who separated us.” The shadow disappears, and Kemal calls her name again. When she finally joins them, light comes into the tunnel. In the operation room, a tear drop falls from Nihan’s closed eye as the doctor says that the operation was a success.

In the lobby, Emir thanks Zeynep for her blood donation. Zeynep rhetorically says she wishes she would have done the same for him. Galip then calls Emir to report that Nihan’s operation was successful. Emir immediately leaves Zeynep as if she was never there with him, so she loudly says “I told you that she’d be ok.”

Outside, Zehir and Ayhan watch Kemal worry for Nihan. When Zeynep comes out, he approaches her to ask if her blood was accepted for the transfusion. Zeynep reports that Nihan is alive. Kemal immediately walks away, trying to hide his tears from them. He takes a few steps down the stairs (to the garage?) and rests his head against the wall as he cries. Ayhan, Zehir and Zeynep follow, listening as Kemal thanks god for Nihan’s life. Zehir swears he’s never seen someone love as much as Kemal does. Zeynep goes down to her brother and rubs his arm. Kemal continues crying, saying that he’s happy Nihan survived. Zeynep comments that he’s such a determined person, he should not give up on Nihan again. When she leaves, he’s left thinking about that.

Emir arrives to speak with the doctor, who assures everyone that Nihan is ok. As Nihan is taken out of ICU and wheeled out to the hallway, everyone follows as she’s led to a room. Emir comments aloud that Nihan has been returned to him again.

In the garage, Kemal tried to get past the guards to see Nihan. They stop him, and a struggle ensues, but Ayhan comes to break everyone up and lead Kemal out of there.

Everyone watches Nihan from the window. Leyla asks Vildan to calm down because Nihan is only sedated right now. Vildan cries, claiming that seeing Nihan like that reminds her of Ozan. Yasemin asks Vildan not to think of such things right now, as it will only make her feel worse. Emir says “Yasemin, the situation is so grave that you can’t make us feel better. What just happened wasn’t just any old simple statistic.” Leyla can’t take his obnoxious comment and says that she can’t stand him anymore because he’s acting delirious again. Galip tried to cover up for Emir, asking for her understanding because clearly he is very nervous right now. Emir, however, makes it clear that he knows something happened last night- that Leyla is covering up for Nihan. Leyla is offended that he doesn’t believe her, but he says that he wishes he could, but cannot. Vildan breaks up the argument by asking Leyla to accompany her to the cafe.

Emir continues looking at Nihan through the window. Galip wants to distract him for a bit and suggests that they step away, but Emir asks to be left alone instead. Galip obeys. Once alone, Emir pulls out Nihan’s wedding band from his pocket, claiming that it seems like Nihan got rid of all her things when she ran out of the house to speed drive her car. He swears that if she died, he would have killed himself too, without question. “This fear bonds me to your life. The only thing I wish is to hear you breathing again. I don’t care about the rest of my sins, so long as you continue to be by my side.” His callousness starts to return and he starts questioning “What happened today, why did you drive so recklessly, without fearing death?”

Tufan is outside of Zehir’s lair, looking at Kemal’s car. When he calls Emir, he remains creepily remains quiet on the line until Emir calls him out for it. Tufan then admits that Kemal’s car remains parked at Zehir’s lair. Emir berates him for his incompetence and questions where Kemal was all day yesterday. Tufan has no answer and the call ends. He remains defeated next to Kemal’s blue car when he’s approached by the group of boys who helped out Asu yesterday. They ask if he is also looking for the same man. Tufan wants to know who was asking around for Kemal, and the boys describe Asu as the tall pretty lady with black hair who looks just like Pocahontas. Tufan’s face goes lovestruck upon hearing their interestingly accurate description.

Fehime calls Leyla to ask how Nihan is. Leyla says that the operation went well. Fehime quickly turns her attention to Kemal, saying that she can’t reach him. Leyla promises she’ll let Kemal know. They hang up and Leyla walks out of the building to speak to Kemal. He immediately asks about Nihan. Leyla affirms that Nihan is ok, but suggests that he go home now. Kemal doesn’t want to, so Leyla says that Fehime is worried about him and needs to speak with him right now. Kemal retorts that Fehime has known that Deniz is her granddaughter because she’s been hiding a photo of the baby. Leyla reminds him that they both know exactly why Fehime kept this secret from everyone. Kemal remains adamant that he will not leave until he sees Nihan and is able to hold her hand. Leyla reminds him that he can’t enter the hospital because it is heavily guarded, and his reality is that he will spend the rest of his life trying to keep two steps ahead of Emir. Kemal doesn’t care and assures her once more that he will not leave the premises without seeing Nihan. He steps away from her to speak with Zehir, telling him that he needs to find a way to see Nihan. Zehir assures him they will find a way soon.

Emir remains at the window and tells Nihan: “My dear, I will stop the world until you get better. I won’t ask any more questions for now, but I will admit that if the shadows from my interrogations end up falling on your shoulders, this whole thing will not look well for you.” He gathers his resent and finally walks away.

Leyla and Ayhan walk in the garage. Ayhan comments that Cleopatra is looking tired. Leyla justifies that, claiming that Kemal is distraught, Nihan almost died, and- she gets cut off by Ayhan. He asks her not to speak like that, and gives her a mini pep talk. Leyla gives a very slight smile and asks him to take her to see Deniz. Ayhan gets happy and says that in her heart waits an angel who wants to go out to a theme park. Leyla doesn’t have the means to smile, so Ayhan asks her to smile because they need to rejoice for being alive.

Tufan and a security guard hide behind a corner in the garage as they watch two people walking in the distance (Leyla and Ayhan? Or Kemal’s personal security personnel?) Tufan pays the guard some money and is then quickly led to the security room.

Asu is in Kemal’s apartment, watching the news when she finds out that Nihan survived. She’s upset and immediately calls Rukan to ask him first why he did a half job, then to ask if the evidence will come back to haunt her. Rukan assures her it won’t, but she’s nervous anyway and hangs up.

Tufan sits at the security desk, staring at the security footage. As he finds the exact time that Asu’s red car arrives in the garage, the security guard tells him that he must hurry up and go.

The doorbell rings and Asu immediately opens it, thinking it’s Kemal. Tufan barges in to ask Asu what mess she is in, then warns that he looked over the surveillance tapes of the building. Asu immediately asks if he told Emir anything. Tufan brushes her worry aside and says the tapes reveal that neither Kemal nor her were together in the apartment last night- though her car arrived very late into the night and it was very dirty. Asu says that she spent most of the night searching everywhere for Kemal. Her phone rings, and she quickly blocks a call from Rukan, then placed the phone screen facedown onto the table. When she comes back to stand before Tufan, he reminds her that she’s doing stupid things for Kemal. Asu tries to get Tufan’s sympathy by reaching for his right hand and reminding him that they have been friends for a long time, so he shouldn’t tell Emir anything. Tufan knows she’s manipulating him so he coldly stares for a bit before exiting the apartment without saying a word. Outside in the hallway, he cherishes the hand that Asu touched, bringing it up to his lips. When he’s done being a creep, he leaves.

Emir and the head of his security team walk the hallway. Emir warns the man that they must do anything and everything to stop Kemal from stepping foot into the hospital. When he asks if he even knows where Kemal is right now, the man replies that Kemal is still waiting outside the building. Emir comments that Kemal should remain there until he starts growing roots.

Outside, Zehir dislikes the situation and asks Kemal if they could go somewhere else so that he can rest for a bit and then come back with a plan to see Nihan. Kemal refuses, claiming that he will not leave the hospital until he sees the love of his life first. Zehir relents.

Hours later night falls and Kemal remains waiting outside the hospital. Tariq sits next to him, for moral support.

Emir stares at his wife from the window.

The next day, Kemal takes a look at all of the guards at the hospital entrance. Meanwhile, Emir continues to look at Nihan through the ICU window.

Night falls again and it’s Ayhan’s turn to babysit Kemal. A white van (ambulance?) enters the garage and Kemal starts thinking about it’s significance.

Another new day begins and Kemal stares at the guards by the entrance. Another of those big white vans passes him to go into the garage, and Kemal starts formulating his plan.

Emir and Vildan look through the window as the doctor checks up in Nihan. When the doctor comes out, he tells them that Nihan is doing better and will be placed out of ICU. Vildan subtly takes the opportunity to text Kemal and alert him that Nihan will come out of intensive care today. Kemal tells Zehir, who is thankful that Nihan will now be given a personal room.

Emir puts on his jacket as Vildan asks if he’s leaving the premises. Emir responds that now that he’s sure his wife is safe, he will go out and find the truth himself.

Vildan sits at Nihan’s side when she receives a phone call from Kemal. She gets up to answer it, and Kemal starts divulging his plan about entering the hospital through one of those white vans (he and Zehir are actually standing in one already). Vildan gets uncertain, since Emir has the hospital well guarded. She goes to take a peak out into the hallway and notices a guard standing several feet across from the door. She tries turning down Kemal’s plan by saying that it’s impossible. Kemal asks her whether she will help him or not. Vildan concedes, asking what she needs to do. Kemal asks her to wait for dinner time.

Somewhere that looks like an old abandoned building (another facet of Ayhan’s warehouse?), Ayhan asks two white uniformed men why they look so scared. Meanwhile, Zehir and Kemal start plotting out every detail of their plan.

A man comes and hands Kemal a brown tube. Zehir asks what this is about and Kemal says “Spring. It will bring back a memory for her.”

Night falls again, and Emir meets with Hakan outside of the cabin where Nihan had stayed. Hakan reports he has no other information to offer other than that Nihan’s car had a hydraulic failure. Emir remains silent and goes into the cabin to search the place by himself. In the bedroom, Emir looks for any possible signs of Kemal, even to the point of sniffing the bed clothes and pillows. Dissatisfied, he heads for the kitchen.

Vildan watches the busy streets of Istanbul from the hospital window. She walks back to Nihan and asks her to open her eyes again. Yasemin comes and says that everything will happen in due time. Vildan turns around and asks her for a favor, without any questions. Yasemin gets worried and realizes that Nihan will be taken out of the hospital. Vildan quietly affirms by saying “Something like that.”

Outside the hospital entrance, Zehir is on the phone with Kemal and jumps around in the cold, excited to bluff Emir’s guards. Kemal is somewhere not far off, at the driver’s seat of a white van, when he gives the order that they will attack now. Zehir bursts with excitement and says “Your wishes are my command! We will get your wife- I mean Nihan. I see her as your wife, because she’s the only one you love.” Kemal affirms, says that she is his only love, and that he will be inside the hospital in five minutes. He sits in the van, determined to make his move.

Hello!

Tufan’s face upon hearing the boy’s’ description of Asu was too funny. But then he turned into a creep when he left Asu alone in the apartment. Eww.

I felt no sympathy for Zeynep when she was all feeble and in need of her juice box for strength. And when she advised Kemal not to give up on Nihan, I couldn’t help but think that she was really servicing herself.

If Kemal really is getting Nihan out of the hospital, he would be reckless. She just came out of ICU, anything can still happen! Why take such a big risk now? Also, Nihan is unconscious and cannot make a decision for herself! Really, Kemal is being selfish again. I’m all for Nihan’s escape from the demon, but I feel that this will only make her situation worse in the long run.

I’m probably the only one that’s slightly bothered about how Ayhan is able to use his men to terrorize people and do strange favors for Kemal. Ayhan really is like a mafia person- that detail alone should kind of make Leyla be wary of him. Despite Ayhan’s good intentions, it really does make you wonder how he’s used these abilities before. He definitely has the charm to make you look away from that, though.

Every time I look at Kemal I see facets of Emir in him: possessive, jealous, and stubbornly determined to get his way- to the point that he blinds himself! He turns so capricious at times, it’s disturbing. Sometimes I wonder if his relationship with Nihan would even be able to last: they comedically bicker a lot, but I can see that bickering turning into full blown fights with the way Nihan is, and to top it off, Kemal is bossy. Their relationship might be a case where it didn’t properly end, because Emir forced her to end it when it was still reaching its climax, thus they were traumatized forever and haven’t been able to move past that point. So now they both fantasize about how perfect they are for each other and how they can’t be together, and isn’t that exactly what the novela is? A good bulk of it is flashbacks of their good times together, peppered in with Nihan’s fantasies here and there. Are they really as perfect for each other as they dream to be?

I will be so upset when this ends- so compelling and it sure helps to look at the likes of Kemal and Nihan every night- both gorgeous!

On another less appealing note: Anyone who is not watching most recent Gov. Cuomo briefings on CNN does NOT have a clue about what is going on and how this federal government is handling this pandemic!!! Those naysayers who think this is overblown will be the ones who most damage our chances to overcome this disease !! Fortunately we still have our true heroes and leaders- Dr Fauci, Governor Cuomo and the millions of health care workers and volunteers out there saving lives, all the companies going the extra mile. Etc etc

I agree with Nina; Kemal is not at all like Emir...or maybe I just don’t want to think of him as being like Emir. Emir’s resolve stems from his obsession for Nihan whereas Kemal’s resolve stems from his genuine love for Nihan. What irked me about both of them is that neither one of them thought of Deniz...both were wanting to die if Nihan died. I might understand Emir feeling like that, but not Kemal since he now knows that Deniz is his child.

I don’t consider Ayhan a “bad” person either. He has had a rough life and knows how to get how to get what he wants through whatever resources and experiences he has had. He does get into gray areas but in the end, his is led by his heart and good intentions.

I hope they find out how Nihan’s car was tampered with. Asu needs to pay for all she has done, I’m just wondering if Emir will be the one to be rid of her...eternally.

Episode 175

We start with Kemel thinking back 5 years earlier to simpler, happier times for the couple. He and Nihan are together at a seaside park. She’s holding balloons on a string asking what he has in his hands. They’re bantering back and forth and she’s making funny faces asking him which of her defects he likes. He doesn’t mind...although it’s still cold out…he’s going bring the spring to her. He then explains he’s got a kaleidoscope and instructs her to look through it. She’s amused and finds all the shapes and colors beautiful. She loves it.

He snaps back to reality and the task at hand...getting back into the hospital to see her. He’s in a delivery truck dressed like a worker. We see his plan is to enter by delivering bread to the kitchen and appears to have inside help. Once inside, he then pretends to need to wash his hands but having left the kitchen, he puts on gloves and a much coveted face mask and makes his way up the stairs, to her room. He was able to enter easily since Zehir, Vildan and Yasmine all took a role in distracting the various security guys Emir had posted.

Once inside he caresses her face and pleads with her to wake up. He talks to her telling her why he took the action he did, admitting he didn’t listen to her or try to understand her. He was motivated by wanting his daughter away from that man. He realized his actions caused her harm.

Back at the cabin Emir continues his search for clues. It appears that Nihan left in a hurry since she didn’t take her things and she left her bed unmade. Eventually his search finds the diary Nihan kept for Kemel. He’s enraged as he reads the book hurriedly. He knows why Nihan kept the book and her plan for Kemel to receive it when Deniz turns one….that she didn’t want Deniz caught in a war between the two men..and her plans to leave him. He angrily yells no, no, no.

Back at hospital Kemel continues to caress a sleeping Nihan asking her to wake up. “look what I brought you, the spring”. He basically tells her she’s his everything urging her to open her eyes. He doesn’t want to leave her bedside without having seen her eyes. Nihan stirs a little and tries to speak finally calling out for Deniz. He tells her Deniz is fine…she only needs you at her side. Nihan finally opens her eyes and sees Kemel. He’s delighted she’s OK. As she wakes she asks where is she, then where is Deniz and her mom. She asks does Emir know. Kemel assures her he doesn’t know anything. As she tries to move Kemel urges her to rest and stay calm but she’s concerned that Emir will know everything once he investigates. Foolishly or just to calm her, Kemel states he doesn’t think so. Nihan then turns her ire to Kemel “You took my daughter from me". You broke part of my heart”. He tries to explain that he didn’t want this happen, but he didn’t want to leave Deniz with Emir. She protest that she tried to explain it all to him but Kemel tries to hush her and delay this conversation for when she’s better. Nihan insists “I almost died…why”. He tries to calm her again but she tells him to leave. When she repeats it he obeys. When she finds he left behind a kaleidoscope, she cries as she remembers that day 5 years ago.

Kemel starts his departure. The guard being distracted by Yasmine sees him and tries to stop him but Yasmine assures him it was just a nurse. They both go to Nihan’s room and see she is alone and awake. Nihan discusses the situation with Yasmine and Kemel’s dejection upon his departure.

Episode 175 - Part 2

In the meantime, Emir is driving furious…anguished remembering Nihan’s commentary in the diary, imagining the joy in her words to Kemel. He then throws the book out the sunroof. He continues his drive in tears and anguish. Back at the hospital, Vildan and Leyla,back at the house, is allowing Nihan to face time with Deniz. When they finish, Nihan asks that Leyla does the same with Kemel but not let him know that it was her idea. Kemel is delighted when he gets the call from Leyla with Deniz and gets to see her cooing in her crib ready for sleep. Leyla ends the call too soon for Kemel. He’s encouraged though stating that sooner or later the spring arrives.

Emir still driving is angry…thinking back on many thing. He’s thinks back with anger as he remembers Asu vouched for Kemel’s whereabouts the night before the accident. He drives straight to Kemel’s apartment for her. She opens the door and he goes straight for the juggler…grabbing her by the neck. He’s taking his anger out on her while trying to get her to confess she lied. Kemel, having returned home walks in on the abuse and returns the favor and he grabs Emir by the neck. To our surprise Emir does not put up a fight and he wiggles helpless against the wall under Kemel’s death grip. Asu is alarmed and pleads with Kemel not to kill him…it’s not worth it. As Emir is coughing and gasping for air Asu’s words appears to have reached Kemel so he lets him go. Despite his near death experience, Emir is still full of arrogance and taunts Kemel that he can never kill him and Kemel commands him to get out and he does. With Emir gone, Kemel demands to know why he was there so she explains that he came to confirm that Kemel did not spend the other night at the house. He tells her not to open the door again and he’s going for a bath. Asu manages to ask him about Nihan and hides her disappointed that she is fine and will be OK. Later Asu reaches out to Tufan assuming he snitched on her but he convinces her it wasn’t him….and that it was just a matter of time that Emir would find out the truth.

Emir still on the case thinks back to learning that the brakes failed on Nihan’s car. He’s speaks to Tufan to ask if he found anything more. Tufuan states nothing important..just what the police said. Emir indicates that he’ll determine what’s important and Tufan realizes Emir has found something…and they discuss that the car failure could have been provoked.

Driving away from Kemels’ Emir flashes back to many moments. Later he's at a shop investigating the car and he finds out from the attendant that another client visited the same vacation spot programmed in is navigation system. He demands the attendant show him the surveillance and discovers that Kemel and Ayan where there and parted in different cars. Later, he’s at Nihan’s bedside at the hospital and tells her she scared him. She was scared too she replied. He then asks her why she left the cabin with her PJs on. She lies that Deniz spiked a fever and she hurriedly left for medicine. He doesn’t believe her and implies that she’s lying and then states that she's tired and confused. Nihan states that nothing has changed…..referencing his threats and the agony it causes. He then says the only option he has is to trust her says that he’s fired his men. She turns away knowing it’s a lie, saying she’s tired.

Episode 175 - Part 3

The next morning, a lawyer comes to visit Leyla’ at the Kozcoglu house. He wants to discuss the complaint against her and Ayan. She learns that Emir’s wants her shares or her house. In the meantime, Asu has arrived at the gate of the house but is denied entry. When she calls Emir to complain she learns that he’s denying her access to her mom as punishment for her lie to protect Kemel.

Elsewhere, Zehir goes to visit Zehra and finds she’s packed up, left the house and a note for him. She had to disappear because Emir has accused her of something she didn’t do so she left to avoid jail.

A still determined Kemel calls Vildan who confirms Emir’s men are gone from the hospital as he plans another visit. Meanwhile, Emir returns to the hospital with flowers and a teddy bear for Nihan with the scent of Deniz since she slept with it last night. Nihan happy as she snuggles the bear while Emir tells her he’s spoken with her doctor and about her status and release. Nihan is anxious to get home to Deniz. Emir purposely gets Vildan to leave the room and when she does, Emir introduces Nihan to her other gift, her personal nurse. Seeing through him, Nihan immediately recognizes that the nurse is just another guard so that she doesn’t escape…and she tells him she doesn’t need anyone to keep watch over her. Just then, Emir who had planned to spend the day with Nihan at the hospital, gets a call that requires him to go back to the office since Kemel is not there to handle a problem. He promises to return and we see a smug Emir walk away …pleased with his latest trap. Meanwhile, Nihan is left alone with the new nurse who appears eager to do her job. Vildan, having waited around to see Emir leave alerts Kemel that Emir has left the hospital.

The end.


I knew that diary was a time bomb waiting to explode....but I guess we see its purpose. For Emir to realize Nihan has no love for him and still pines for Kemel. Unfortunately, instead of realizing she will never love him and let go, he will seek revenge.

I do think Kemel's actions where reckless and just as selfish as Emir's. Luckily he and Deniz didn't have an accident as well. But I do get his point of view, the worse man in the world is trying to raise his daughter after years of keeping him from the love of his life. Nihan is too weak to protect herself...how could she possibly protect his daughter from the horrors that is Emir.

Thank you, Nett! You cleared up some things for me; so I appreciate the details. You're ability to convey Emir's emotions was spot on.

I can't believe that Emir's eyes were finally opened with the discovery of the journal. The man is not dense and there were so many other things that should have made him realize that Nihan was still pining for Kemal...and that she loathes being with him. I'm sure you're right Nett; Emir is now out for revenge...again! Not only is Nihan in danger, but also Deniz; and if I know Emir, he'll go after Deniz first just to make Nihan and Kemal suffer.

And yes, Kemal's actions were reckless, but I too can understand his desperation in trying to protect his precious daughter and Nihan from the likes of Emir.

The scene where Zehir and Ayhan were to distract Emir's men while Kemal sneaked into the hospital was supposed to be quite serious, but I had to laugh when I saw petite Zehir confront the giant guards; I was afraid he and Ayhan were going to get slaughtered..but I have to admire their loyalty to Kemal.

I guess this cat and mouse and revenge plots will drag on for a little while longer since we have so many more episodes. Again it appears only death will get emir out of the picture since he so obsessed and even more determined to win. Kemel might realize this since he told emir it should have been him who was in an accident. But Kemel is a good guy so I cant imagine he would try to kill emir. Asu is not motivated to kill him as it frees up nihan. Dont know what else can get rid of this guy.

Him under the guise of her brother who
Committed the crime. Which he didnt. He sat and put real bullets in a gun with smile on his mug.
Knowing someone would die just so he could tie nihan to him in hell for the rest of her life. And people have died so he could keep this cycle of psycho sickness going. I can't feel sorry for him. I hope kemal can get nihan and deniz away from that psycho as soon as possible.

Emir exits the hospital, while Shaffaq waits for Vildan to tell him to drive her home. Shaffaq if everything is ok, and she responds that she needs a minute to think. As soon as she watches Emir’s car disappear, she texts Kemal that the alien demon is gone, Nihan is now alone in the hospital and asks him to promise that he won’t stress her out. Kemal texts back to promise that he won’t. Vildan then tells Shaffaq that they can go home now.

Kemal is in his car, and calls Pelin to ask about Emir’s work agenda for today.

Tufan is investigating with another minion if Asu asked Gurcan/Rukan to mess up Nihan’s car. The minion confirms.

Kemal is walking down the steps into the hospital, dressed up as a nurse, and doesn’t bother to hide his face. He knocks on the door and asks the employee if he can go to the bathroom to check if he left his phone there, because he lost it while working a shift last night.

Emir’s nurse takes Nihan’s temperature but is interrupted by her own cellphone. Nihan gives her permission to answer, and the lady leaves the room. When she’s gone, Kemal shows up and Nihan starts asking him to leave. Kemal stands next to her bed and says he won’t be leaving until she forgives him. Nihan reminds him that what he did to her was scary and she hated he thought of losing her daughter. Kemal emphasizes that Deniz is their daughter. He apologizes for being a jerk, but reminds her that Deniz is his daughter too. He kneels down and says that he will not rest until he gets both of them away from Emir- he read everything that she wrote in the journal, and claims his pain is not relieved from it. He says it breaks his heart when he thinks about fighting Emir, because she and Deniz are on the enemy’s side. “Tonight is your last night here, how can I feel good knowing that you’re going to return to him tomorrow? How am I going to sleep tonight?” He asks, then stands up and says in a determined tone “I’ll do it for you, the mother of my daughter. I won’t confront Emir.”

Emir is sitting in his car and watching the full show going on in Nihan’s room. It turns out that he put a camera in Deniz’ teddy bear! Emir prepared himself beforehand for Kemal’s visit, because:
1. He placed Deniz’ teddy bear in a strategic position on the couch facing Nihan and any potential visitor.
2. He had a minion waiting at the employee hospital entrance to alert him about Kemal’s arrival today.
3. The nurse had been forewarned that she would receive a message to leave Nihan alone in the room.

Kemal promises “I won’t stop, I’ll never be stopped until I manage to destroy Emir Kozcouglu and free you and Deniz. He’ll never know that I know the truth, but I’ll never give up until I free you from those chains that keep you with him. I promise you I will take back everything that he stole from me.” Nihan looks at him as if she’s having a hard time believing him.

To Kemal’s pledge, Emir replies “That’s what you think.”

Three days later, Kemal is searching everywhere in the cabin for Nihan’s orange journal. Meanwhile, Nihan is home and calls him, hoping that he would find the journal. Kemal admits that he can’t find it, but suggests that they now have an opportunity. Nihan hushes him and says she doesn’t think Emir has seen the journal otherwise he wouldn’t be as calm as he’s been so far. Kemal says maybe Emir does know and is actually not as calm as he appears to be. Nihan hushes him again, afraid that he may be right.

Meanwhile, Emir sits in his study, eavesdropping on Nihan’s phone conversation through a tracking app he had managed to install on Nihan’s phone a few days ago while she was sleeping at the hospital. Emir gets aggravated when he hears Kemal and Nihan set up a place to meet each other.

At Zehir’s lair, a friend reports that Zera stayed at a hotel in Izmir, met a man there and took a train out of there with him. Zehir thanks his friend for the help, reminding him to inform him of any other information he may come by. Zehir heads out for Kozcouglu Holding, but tells the friend that he will not feel calm until he finds Zera again.

At the cemetery, Leila visits her parents’ graves. She realizes she’s never known who her father was, and then questions her mother for being unaware too. She yearns to fix her father’s mistakes, but has no idea how to do it, so she reproaches him for having inherited her a huge lie. Leila then walks away from the grave and into Ayhan’s company, telling him that she decided to hand over her house to Emir. Ayhan says that she shouldn’t because Emir is only trying to trap Kemal, but Leyla says she prefers to have her shares in the company. Ayhan says they must find a way to keep the house too, but Leyla has already made a decision to lose all of her memories- especially now with what she knows about her father. Ayhan apologizes for having brought this tragedy upon her. Leyla says that this is her opportunity to find a new home, settle down elsewhere, and no longer feel like a stranger in her own house. She feels Emir opened up a whole new path for her. She walks ahead of Ayhan, as he looks on in amazement.

Kemal meets Nihan at a park. She greets him first by saying that she’s very afraid. He asks her not to be afraid, suggesting that they look at this place as the place where their story will begin. Nihan gets annoyed, but listens. Kemal says that this will be the place where he takes her and Deniz away from Emir. Nihan says she would have preferred that their story had been a romantic comedy instead, filled with mother-in-law fights between Vildan and Fehime. Kemal replies that their story wouldn’t have been a love story at all. He gets close to her and says “this is our story, we will build our future, and Deniz’ too. Trust me.” Nihan asks if when it all ends, will apples fall from the sky on them? Kemal hands her a candy apple and Nihan smiles, telling him that she loves him. He says hay he loves her too, then asks how Deniz has been doing. Nihan says she been doing well, that they both missed each other, then shifts the focus to the missing journal. Kemal says it’s possible that Emir already knows the truth: he asks her to search the mansion for the journal. Nihan claims that Emir’s silence is scary and starts fearing for Deniz’ safety. Kemal claims that if Emir is hiding his knowledge of that journal, he must be planning something.

In the hill above the lovebirds, Emir twists his mouth as he watches them in distaste.

Hakan and Shaffaq roll some luggages onto a black car. Hakan tells Shaffaq that this trip is necessary because he should stay away from Istanbul for some time: he asks Shaffaq if he has his passport, the phone number of the contact person, and the alias information he will use to hide his identity. Hakan suggests that when the time is right, he’ll come back and will be able to enroll in the same school as before. Shaffaq wants his brother to be honest and tell him what is going on. Hakan pauses but is sidetracked by a phone call from a coworker who warns that Ozan’s investigative file has been ordered for destruction. Hakan asks his worker to give him two hours so that he can get there and scan the documents himself. He gets into the car and drives Shaffaq to the airport.

At a job interview at a cafe, the blonde manager tells Zeynep that she doesn’t have any experience in the service industry. She looks through Zeynep’s credentials, briefly sees a certificate and considers giving her a chance anyway. Zeynep turns overeager and says she will work very hard to prove that she was correctly chosen for the job. The lady tells her to come ready to work tomorrow morning.

Kemal is driving somewhere and calls Ayhan (who’s in his car with Leyla at his side). He asks for a favor: he needs Serkhan to provide a registry of all of the locations Emir’s car went to last week. Ayhan guesses that Kemal wants to know if Emir returned to check up on the cabin, so he confirms he’s on the task and hangs up. He tells Leyla about Kemal’s current plan. He asks her if she will take off from here, but she complains that it’s too cold for her to walk up to the house so she wants him to drop her off right in front of it. Ayhan jokes that technically they shouldn’t be seen together because they are known as the couple that swindled the Kozcouglus. Leyla calls him out on the word “couple” so Ayhan backtracks and says “singles,” then reminds her that they still have to deal with the company fraud trap. Leyla says she doesn’t care about that right now. Ayhan confesses that cares about everything that she says and that he cannot sleep at night without speaking to her first. He starts the car and drives closer to the house.

When Ayhan is finally alone after dropping off Leyla, he tries calling Serkhan from Emir’s auto servicing shop. He ends up surprised when Serkhan’s phone indicates that it’s out of service. Ayhan decides to drive off to the auto shop.

Nihan comes back from her meeting with Kemal, and enters the foyer of the mansion. Efsame comes to take the coat, and Nihan comments that she knows she’s hiding things about Ozan’s murder. Efsame replies that she hasn’t been hiding anything, but rather she doesn’t want to cause more harm. Nihan tells her to be honest; has she seen Emir enter the home with an orange journal these past few days? Efsame says no, that the journal remains in the same place it’s always been. Nihan asks where that place is, and Efsame says that it’s in Deniz’ room, in one of the drawers. They get interrupted when a doctor comes and reports that Mujan is making good progress. Efsame had stepped away to put Nihan’s coat in the closet, but Nihan calls her back to help out the doctor and tells her that she will be with Deniz upstairs. Efsame warns that Deniz and Vildan are currently with Mujan, and Nihan’s face goes sour.

Tariq is at Banu’s bank, trying to get information on the account. He feigns that Banu sent him to ask if anything strange has been occurring with the account lately. The bank associate tells him that she cannot help him because that account is not shared between them, so only Banu is privy to the information. Tariq gives up with the associate, but calls Asu for help. He asks if she has access to all of the company bank accounts. Asu grows concerned but affirms, and Tariq asks if he can speak to her in half an hour or so. She agrees.

After the strange phone call with Tariq, Asu gets back to speaking with the two board members that Kemal had previously arranged a lunch meeting with last week (when he went to find Nihan at the cabin). She tells them that she knows why Kemal wanted to speak to the two of them, but she’s concerned that it may affect Emir. The man asks her who’s side she’s on, whether her brother or her husband? Asu replies that she’s stuck in the middle and won’t be able to relax until Kemal is no longer involved (in the business?). The man clarifies if she would be on Emir’s side then, and that they would be willing to offer their support to her in a critical situation. Asu at first denies that to be the case, but then starts thinking better of it.

Deniz plays with her toys next to Mujan, who stiffly watches and smiles as Vildan supervises. Meanwhile, Nihan disapprovingly watches the three of them from the doorway. She loudly asks if it is time for Deniz’ lunch already. Vildan takes the hint and lifts Deniz from the bed, then walks out of the room. In the hallway, Nihan lightly scolds Vildan for continuously bringing Deniz on playdates with Mujan. She admits that though she feels bad for her mother in law, she doesn’t want to give Emir another reason to get attached to Deniz. Vildan says she feels sympathy for Mujan’s condition and believes that Deniz’ visits actually do her well- she’s careful enough to do this only when Emir is out of the house, but Nihan reminds her that he can smell Deniz on his mother’s hands. Vildan agrees that she has a point. She notices that Nihan looks nervous and asks if she’s ok. Nihan replies that she won’t be ok until she finds the journal, then says she’s scared that Emir might already know the truth. Vildan says “God bless us.” Nihan then changes the subject by saying that Deniz is due a bath. Vildan takes Deniz upstairs.

Nihan goes back to Mujan’s room to callously pick up Deniz’ toys. When she tries to lift the last one, Mujan holds onto it and looks at Nihan as if asking her to leave it behind. When Nihan flashes Mujan an angry face, Mujan lets go. Nihan sits down the bed and starts telling her: “Your son can’t be a good man: he’s a very cruel and obsessed man.” Mujan looks at her perplexed, and Nihan tries to lighten the blow: “Maybe he still has a chance to change. I don’t know, maybe you can help him because I can’t- I don’t love him.” She ends up confessing that she’s tried to escape Emir many times already, then admits to having heard snippets of how badly Galip treated Mujan during their marriage. Nihan continues that Emir is just like his father: he enjoys making people suffer. Mujan saddens her face, remembering:
1. Years ago, when she was comatose, Emir confessed at her bedside that he would never turn into Galip, and that he dearly loves Nihan.
2. Within the past few days, he confessed that he’ll never let go of Deniz. He’ll make sure Kemal and Nihan suffer, and he’ll kill them if he has to, but above all else he won’t let them be happy.

Mujan mutters “He knows.” Nihan gets surprised but didn’t catch what she said. Mujan repeats herself, yet Nihan doesn’t know what she’s referring to, until Mujan lifts her finger from the toy and points it at her while muttering “You.” When Nihan realizes that Emir has been faking not knowing anything about Kemal and the journal, she thanks Mujan for the warning, realizing that Mujan is helping because she knows that they are both victims of the same men.

Asu and Tariq are sitting in her office when she asks him why he wants to look through the company bank accounts. Tariq sits there in mad silence, but after some prodding, he finally replies that it’s about Banu and Emir.

Emir arrives at the second floor of Kozcouglu Holding, chiding Tufan about how all of the board members are ready for a meeting without him. Tufan says that it’s been Kemal’s doing. When Kemal appears in the hallway, Emir asks if the important people are always the last to know about the meeting. Kemal says “It’s not about you. I have things to talk about with them.” Emir says that out of all of the employees, Kemal is the lowest one, so he wouldn’t be chosen as the head of the shareholders, especially considering the fact that he holds borrowed shares from the Kozcouglus. Kemal corrects him that the shares are actually his own, but Emir reminds him that Asu signed those over for love under false pretenses and that he will walk out of here empty handed soon.

Ayhan arrives at the auto shop, asking for Serkhan. The boss says that Serkhan has left the job for monetary reasons. Ayhan tries prodding if perhaps Serkhan wasn’t actually fired, but the boss wasn’t having it and retorts that the logical answer is that Serkhan left because the pay was too low. Ayhan hastily exits and drives away.

Nihan walks on the second floor hallway of her home, and starts remembering:
1. Mujan warning her that Emir knows about the journal and Kemal.
3. her phone call with Kemal earlier, then
4. The day when Emir pretended to throw Deniz off a cliff.
Nihan remains in the hallway, thinking about searching through Emir’s room.

At the board meeting, Kemal asks the board members if they will continue to tie themselves to Emir simply because the company is tied down to the Kozcouglu brand. One of the members (who had spoken to Asu moments ago) states that he feels the situation is dire right now, but that the stocks might rise again if Emir were to take the reins. Kemal stands up and says that he disagrees with everyone, and that they will see how wrong they are on the day of the elections. He quietly exits the room, with Zehir waiting for him and asking how it went. Kemal indicates that it went just like they thought it would, then asks if he was able to set up the meeting with a lawyer. Zehir says he was in contact with the lawyer, but asks Kemal if he’s really sure about meeting him here? Kemal says that he’s sure, then changes the subject by asking if the phone number he gave him earlier was able to reach Zera. Zehir says that was an obvious no go, but that everything will be ok because he sent his friend (who’s in the military) to keep an eye out on her. Kemal assures him he will find Zera, then turns the attention back to their plans to bring down the Kozcouglu empire. Zehir says that for now they have to wait until Emir signs some documents. Kemal holds silence, but looks determined to destroy Emir.

Even though it ended up serving her, I didn’t think Nihan should have said anything about Emir to Mujan. I was worried Mujan was going to get sick from that. It didn’t happen, but it could have.

Common sense should have told Nihan and Kemal that obviously Emir found the diary if it’s not in the cabin. They should have planned accordingly instead of wasting time trying to find it or verify if he knows. I don’t get Nihan’s fear about how Emir will discover the whole truth when he reads the diary? He knows she’s been faking everything. Or is she afraid he’ll discover she keeps meeting with Kemal behind his back? He’s known that too for a while. So Kemal knows that Deniz is his daughter? Emir seems to have the means to kill Kemal, but he won’t. Now suddenly Nihan is actuallly really thinking about Deniz- why does this lady think in circles? She placed Deniz right in the center of the raptor’s nest! Classic case of making things worse. At least Zeynep figures out ways to get herself out of things, but Nihan is too dependent on Kemal. I don’t know if she will improve further as the novela goes along, but I find Nihan to be so disappointing.

I think this was the first time we saw Kemal “help” Zehir with a love problem of his own, minor that it was.

Thank you so much, AnonFri! I was watching last night but only half-listening since I was multitasking. Your recap filled in all the necessary blanks.

They sure are spending a LOT of time on the repercussions of Emir finding that journal! ITA that Kemal and Nihan should use their common sense; maybe they're just procrastinating to avoid having to deal with Emir's revenge??

I'm trying to understand Nihan. She has every reason to be terrified for Deniz and herself; that could be why she feels she is "stuck." Kemal keeps telling her that he will protect them, but look at the problems that his impulsivity has caused. Right now, Emir has them in his hands and he could easily destroy both of them.

I agree that Nihan's timing in being so honest with Muhan about Emir was way off. Muhan is in a very fragile state and could relapse from all anxiety and disappointment in knowing that her son has followed in his father's footsteps. OTOH, it did serve Nihan so that she can alert Kemal...and Muhan now knows that she has a grandchild whom she may feel obligated to protect. Am I mistaken or did Nihan enter her room and start to call Kemal then changed her mind? Right afterwards, she look around and up at the ceiling and walls as if looking for a camera. Could it be that she has figured out that her phone is tapped and/or Emir is watching her?

Self-correction. Deniz isn’t Mujan’s granddaughter, but it’s obvious that Muhan is taking a liking to Deniz. Mujan sees her history repeating itself and she is helping Nihan to avoid that happening.

RGV, I definitely missed that! I saw Nihan arrive at a dark area and I thought it was the hallway to the rooms. But I did remember seeing Nihan look down on her phone as if she was going to text or call someone. I forgot to include that detail.

I just don't understand why they don't just assume that Emir knows...and that he's likely tapping her phone, and possibly spying on her through some method or other? Nihan and Kemal have been getting reckless since the day Emir discovered them at the hospital worker's doorstep.

I was worried Mujan would relapse! It worked out for the best, but personally I don't think Nihan has much sympathy for Mujan. Her actions and facial expressions yesterday spoke volumes.

Well she don't want emir to get the wrong Idea and get attached to Deniz anymore Than he already is. Hes using his mother to keep the baby there. He
Said in an earlier episode that Deniz brought new life into the house when
His mother first started to wake up.
And that was kinda creepy too. Nihan woke up one morning and she went into the room to see if Denise was woke up and she wasn't in the crib so she went looking around and she went into amir's room and she wasn't in there with him and then she went into the room where his mother was and found the baby in the bed sleep and he's sitting up there holding his mother's hand and he put the baby over there on the other side of his mother that was kinda creepy too. The man's brainsick.
She better run. With baby in tow.
But The nightmare continues for mujan.
