Primetime on Univisión (#2): Ringo, Amor Eterno. Sin Miedo a La Verdad - Week of Mar. 16, 2020

Greetings, Caraymates!

Welcome to page 2 of Primetime TNs/Series! Ringo is in its last episodes! By my estimation, it should conclude no later than Wednesday, March 25th; however, the TV guide I use still has it continue at least through Mar 27th, so we’ll just have to wait ‘n see what happens. Diana and RGVChick are providing recaps for Ringo; and, AnonFri is recapping Amor Eterno with assistance from Clara. If some other brave soul(s) would like to contribute a recap or just some highlights for RLPDSV, AE, or SMALV, I’m sure the it would be appreciated. You can also add to or clarify scenes/details, especially those that are favs or not-so-favs. The TNs covered by this page are:

8PM  - Ringo: La Pelea de Su Vida: Ep. 79-80
9PM – Amor Eterno: Season 2, Ep. 167-168
10PM – Sin Miedo a La Verda NS

Friendly reminder:  PLEASE put the name of the telenovela you're referring to at the top of your post so readers can easily find the conversations they're looking for. (You can shorten the title to one word, i.e., “Ringo”.)

Discussion pages will be posted on Mondays and Thursdays at 9PM.

RINGO
Ep. 79, Part 1: And the First Anvil Will Fall

Genuine repentance must bear the seal of a corrected life. (Lewis F. Korns) For Brenda, it may be too late!

Ringo and Alejo find Manuel in their apartment but he doesn't respond. Alejo approaches and shakes Manuel trying to wake him up (if Manuel wasn’t dead, he is now!) while Ringo calls for an ambulance.

Max arrives at the police station; so Guachin explains what happened. Meanwhile, at the club, Guevara rants to Susana about how disappointed he is of Guachin. When he tells her what happened, Susan defends Guachin who is a good person and incapable of what Guevara is accusing him of…Guachin has proof that his father left him the money he has. Guevara thinks that he was obligated to turn Guachin to teach him a lesson…since he grew to like him. When Susana tells him that it was Guachin who paid for his operation, Guevara is in disbelief and regrets what he did…he needs to go to the police station and get Guachin out.

At Manuel’s apartment, the paramedics are there and have checked Manuel; there is nothing that can be done…Manuel suffered a major heart attack. Manuel must have died about 6 hours ago. After the paramedics leave, Alejo cries that Manuel shouldn’t have died…he didn’t get to tell him how much he loved him. Alejo feels that he was stupid; Manuel was like a father to him. Ringo feels the same way since Manuel was always by his side. After Alejo feels guilty that he offended Manuel and went against him, Ringo assures him that Manuel never stopped loving him...he was like a son to Manuel. The two friends hug tightly as tears stream down their faces.

Meanwhile, Eva still worries about her father and imagines that he could have had an accident or could have gotten assaulted. She tries to call Alejo, but Alejo can’t answer…he doesn’t know how to tell Eva about her father. So Julia calls Ringo who answers and, with much hesitation and pain, tells her that her uncle is dead. When Julia gasps, Eva grabs the phone; so, Ringo tells her that he is very sorry, they found her father lifeless…he died while he was sleeping. Eva breaks down crying and Julia hugs her tightly.

Brenda is in Diego’s office complaining about Manuel calling the meeting. After she states that they still have the majority of the votes (stupid beyotch!) and disses Julia (stupid, stupid beyotch!), she takes her leave since she needs to go see about her tanning session that she had to cancel. After she leaves, Diego scoffs at how stupid Brenda is.

Guevara and Susana arrive at the police station as Max and Guachin are walking out. Guachin tears into Guevara since he is there because of him…he tried to explain but Guevara didn’t give him a chance. After Guachin walks away, Guevara feels really dumb. Max points out that he shouldn’t be accusing someone without evidence. When Guevara explains that he overheard Guachin planning to steal money, Max clarifies that Guachin was swayed by his friend who had just gotten out of prison. Just then, Eva calls Max to tell him about Manuel.

Eva and Julia arrive at the apartment. Eva goes in to see Manuel while Ringo tells Julia that Manuel died of a heart attack. Alejo cried that though Manuel didn’t give him life, he was his father. Inside the bedroom Eva cries as she lies by her father and reminds him of all the plans he had made to meet his grandson and give her away at her wedding. As she hugs him and tells him that she needs him, Max enters and she runs to him. They hug as she cries inconsolably.

RINGO
Ep. 79, Part 2: And the First Anvil Will Fall

Ringo calls Rafa and, after asking for Oso, tells him that Manuel has died. Rafa wants to call his father since he was best friends with Manuel, but Ringo prefers to wait until Oso returns.

Julia calls Brenda who thinks that Julia is crying because she didn’t get her way. When Julia tells her that their uncle has died, Brenda breaks down and cries ugly as she shares the news with Elsa.

At the company, Sandra receives the call about Manuel as Diego listens. When she tells him that Manuel is dead, Diego obviously could care less and tells Sandra he will go to the factory.

Oso calls Rafa to tell him that he has returned. Rafa takes the opportunity to tell him about Manuel. Oso is in disbelief and starts crying; so, Rosa gets the phone to ask about services.

Everyone attends Manuel's wake (apparently no autopsy!), since he was so well loved by everyone (except the slithering, slimy Diego). There, Alejo and Brenda meet and talk. Brenda comments that she didn’t always treat Manuel well, but she loved him. Alejo starts by suggesting that she reconcile with her sister and join her in defending their heritage together. Alejo then outlines everything that has happened and how Brenda has reacted impulsively and without thinking of anyone else but herself. After he tells her that Diego stole from her father and that he is suspected of murdering him too, he adds that she has now become Diego’s ally. Brenda is left speechless (for once!).

On the other side of the room, Mirta arrives and gives her condolences to Eva as she fondly remembers Manuel.

At Teresa’s house, Ringo tells Santi about Manuel dying. Santi loved him too; Manuel was like a grandfather to him. After Ringo comments that Manuel will always be in their hearts, Santi adds that Manuel will be in heaven and will take care of them

Oso arrives at the wake; Eva doesn’t know how she will be able to fill the void that her father’s death has left. Oso assures her that he is still there for her. Oso shares all that Manuel has done for him…and he will no longer have anyone to fight with. They hug tightly as they try to comfort each other.

In the United States, Gloria receives a call from her boss who congratulates her on her good work. He then asks her for a “favor”…to bring him $50,000 dollars; and she, though knowing that entering the country with that amount of money is not allowed, accepts.

RINGO
Ep. 79, Part 3: And the First Anvil Will Fall

Guevara apologizes to Guachin for jumping to conclusions; he was wrong and has no excuse. When he tells Guachin that Susana told him about him paying for his operation…Guachin was hoping that Susana would never tell him since he did it with all his heart. What hurts Guachin is that Guevara could think so badly about him. When Guevara wonders what he could do to make up for what he did, Guachin tells him he shouldn’t do anything…he was also wrong in being misled by El Jaibo.

Eva and Julia talk about how they feel about losing and missing their fathers. Julia advises that the only thing they can do is try to accept the reality. With time, they will be at peace and they can move forward. Julia then goes to Ringo who tells her that he feels very sad too. Manuel’s death will affect everyone.

Brenda goes to her room and begins to hallucinate about her dad who tells her that she is wrong to trust Diego who is a bad person and using her. She needs to support her sister who will always take care for her. Brenda realizes how stupid she was and asks her father to forgive her.

Martita arrives at the service and Mirta chides her for showing up, Martita just wanted to come give her condolences to Eva. When she talks to Eva, she tells Eva that she will always regret not forgiving Manuel.

Oso and Guevara share Manuel stories with Susana and the Oso clan. Guevara thinks that wherever Manuel is, he must be laughing about all the pranks he pulled on Oso. Elsewhere in the room, Max sits with Eva who looks exhausted and broken.

After the wake, Ringo takes Julia home. Julia thought the day would start with taking the presidency from Diego, but it only ended with the loss of her uncle. After Ringo leaves, Julia goes to her room and Brenda enters…she was waiting for her. Brenda is regretful…she talked to Alejo who made her realize how stupid she has been. Brenda admits that she has done a lot of damage and asks Julia to forgive her for not believing her…she was blinded with her desire to have money. Brenda is very sorry and wants to make up for it. She will call Diego in the morning and tell him that she will revoke the control she gave him…and Brenda will now support whatever Julia wants.

Ringo goes home and talks to Santi who seems to be asleep. He tells him that amongst so much tragedy, he is happy that Santi is there…all he wants is for Santi to be with him. Santi “wakes up” and tells Ringo that he also wants to be with Ringo. When Santi asks if he is going to return with his mother, Ringo reminds him that his love for his mother is lost; he will never return with Gloria...and it’s not because of Julia. Santi wonders if Ringo misses Julia as much as he misses him (Santi). Ringo assures him that he does…and he loves Julia too. but it is a different love than what he feels for Santi.

The Next Morning—

Brenda calls Diego to tell him that he is going to revoke her consent to give him authority. When he asks why, she tells him that she made a mistake. She was focused on getting money and he took advantage of her…and put her against her family. She then asks him to call the notary so that they can sign what is necessary.

Julia tells Alejo that Brenda has expressed that she is going to revoke the control she gave to Diego. Alejo shares about his talk with Brenda as Ringo, Max, and Eva listen. When Alejo comments that Brenda is affected by Manuel’s death, Eva doesn’t believe since Brenda never liked her father. Teresa then arrives and hugs Eva as she gives her condolences.

RINGO
Ep. 79, Part 4: And the First Anvil Will Fall

Diego asks Bruno to take Brenda and make her disappear. Bruno asks for 1 million pesos, which Diego agrees without much hesitation. Diego then calls Brenda and tells her that Bruno will go pick her up to bring her to the company so that she can sign the document.

Gloria arrives and gives her boss the briefcase of money. He hands her a bundle of money; and she smiles wide as she thanks him.

Eva asks the group if Manuel ever told them where he would like to have his ashes spread. Ringo remembers that Manuel always wanted to go to Paris…it was on his bucket list. Max then suggests that they take the ashes to Paris. Eva and he can go to their honeymoon in Paris and spread the ashes there. After Eva thanks everyone for being there with her, she leaves.

Luchis calls Guachin and tells him that she is going to go meet with him…and she is taking her lawyer so that he can give him the divorce papers.

Bruno and some other goon pick up Brenda. As they drive, Brenda realizes that they are not taking her to the company. She orders him to stop so that she can get out, but Bruno tells her that he is only following orders. Brenda panics and starts pushing Bruno as she tells him that she won’t go anywhere with them, so Bruno pulls out his gun and tells a wide-eyed Brenda to calm down or he’ll shoot her right then and there!

Gloria calls Ringo to tell him that she is back and is picking up Santi. Later, she calls Ringo back since Santi told her about Manuel. Gloria wants to go see Ringo so that they can both to talk to Santi who is very sad…they can console each other as a family. Ringo bluntly reminds her that they are not a family and chides her for trying to take advantage of Manuel’s death and Santi’s sadness in an attempt to pressure him. After he hangs up, Gloria looks like the loser she is.

Julia is at home and wonders where Brenda is, so Elsa tells her that she went for a jog, but hasn’t returned. Julia tries calling Brenda, but she doesn’t answer.

Somewhere in the woods, Bruno orders Brenda to get out of the car. When she refuses, he grabs her by the hair and pulls her out as she cries out for help. After Bruno releases her, Brenda runs from him in a panic and still yelling out for help. Meanwhile, Bruno raises his gun, aims…and SHOOTS! Brenda falls to her knees and collapses.

Oh my! Is Brenda dead? Or is true that "a bad seed never dies?" Stay tuned!!

Ringo
OMG thank you RGV. I couldn't stand it whether Brenda was dead or not.
So I found Friday's episode on YouTube. She fell to her knees just as a ploy to allow Bruno to catch up. The bullet did no damage, because there is no heart in there.

Then she shape shifted into a big Grey Alien with claws like a grizzly bear and attacked and devoured Bruno as the driver skreeched the tires and sped off.

Funny, then Patooii she spit out his rug.

RINGO

OH, Kirby, you are a riot! I sure could believe that the bullet did no damage to the heartless loca.

Thanks for the late night laugh. Hope it doesn’t turn into a nightmare :-)

RINGO

Thanks for that great dicho on Repentance, Rgv Chick. And I agree. Literally, repentance means "turning away from" and if Brenda could turn away from "stupid, shallow and destructive" that would be lovely. Maybe her exciting romp in the woods with a murderous Bruno will do the trick. Of course the character we hate the most will probably survive, whereas dear, funny, adorable Manuel, is already in "el otro barrio".

Love it when you work in some rants in your recap. Like these:

Brenda is in Diego’s office complaining about Manuel calling the meeting. After she states that they still have the majority of the votes (stupid beyotch!) and disses Julia (stupid, stupid beyotch!), she takes her leave since she needs to go see about her tanning session that she had to cancel. After she leaves, Diego scoffs at how stupid Brenda is.

That scene just had me grinding my teeth--oh yeah, off to her "cama de bronceador" or something like that. What a useless woman. Has she been educated at all? Does she have a skill other than shopping? Ugh.

And this: Everyone attends Manuel's wake (evidently no autopsy!) That didn't make sense at all. The timing of his death is too suspicious. Even if Julia was too overwhelmed to think clearly, Alejo should have suggested it.

Brenda is left speechless (for once!)

After he [Ringo] hangs up, Gloria looks like the loser she is.

Well, lots of crying and sobbing in this one. Are "veladoras" really that way? People just standing around staring into space, all dressed in total black? Interesting how mourning customs vary from country to country and region to region.
Here, we usually have a service, with the requisite Come to Jesus sermons, and sometimes friends or members of the family coming up to the altar to read remembrances of the departed. Afterwards there's a reception with food and a lot of chatting and hugging.
People still wear dark colors although occasionally someone will leave in their wishes for the funeral, that people wear bright "happy" colors. One woman I visited in the hospital in her final weeks arranged for roses to be given to each person who attended her service. A sweet reminder of her loving spirit (she was a nurse for many years).

Well Patio... sending you all virtual roses today. We've got pouring rain, thunder and lightning here. For some reason it's making me think of that hilarious song "It's Raining Men, Hallelujah!. So KIRBY, since you probably don't want roses, I'll send that song to you. The roses will all be for our gals.

RINGO

Rgv Chick, a beautiful, moving summary. While you wrote from your heart, your words were brilliant.

"Genuine repentance must bear the seal of a corrected life" was a quote I'd not heard but will not forget. It could not have been more perfect for this episode. The first anvil did indeed fall.

"The two friends hug tightly as tears stream down their faces" and "Alejo cried that though Manuel didn’t give him life, he was his father" captured the angst and anguish of two brothers mourning their friend and father.

"Elsewhere in the room, Max sits with Eva who looks exhausted and broken". And she was. Yet, I was heartened by the close knit group listening to Oso's remembrances of his brother. The support among this group is staunch.

I am in the minority I'm sure but I am fine with Brenda being redeemed. I like the idea of the two sisters uniting to vanquish Diego. I do wish ghostly Ivan had appeared much sooner. Alejo also needs Brenda, his heart has been destroyed. Perhaps hope might be there as well. That said, I had to laugh at your "Brenda has no heart" Kirby. Perhaps she was like the tin man, just getting one.

Still lot of loose ends to be tied up - I am fervently hoping the murders have come to an end.

Judy, thank you for relating the story of the roses. I think that was just lovely. Some think of others even during their death.

Rgv Chick, you deserve all the credit in the world for steering this ship so masterfully. This evoked every human emotion. You are such a gifted writer. Thank you.

Diana

Ringo
Thank You Ms RGV Chik. So no autopsy,no police, no investigation, no nothing? Then Squirrel is thrown in the slammer because some washed up has been boxer found him with a wad of cash? The rest of Mexico should be feeling pretty smart, as this crew has sucked up all the available stupid for themselves.

Ivan same same. Oh Fooo! Daddy's dead, hmm wonder how that happened? Oh well, let's plant him, I have this cute little black dress I've been working on my tan to wear.

Do they have graves, or just a big hole wallowed out with a backhoe and just toss another body in?

Even Cryin Rosa..."Oh Rats, she got run over by a Beaner." No forensics, no cops, no investigation, no looking for paint scraps, no looking for vehicle specific marks on the victim's clothing. No witnesses, even when there are scads of people all over in broad daylight. Probably an Illegal from Guatemala anyway. Meh.... :-)

OTOH, Brenda has not suffered nearly enough to atone for her wrongs, so she better not get off with a scary car ride and bullet. Where is Epigmenio when you need him? (Pain Inc.)

And how many does Diablo think he can wipe out before all the strings on the map undeniably intersect at HIM?

"RINGO":

RGV Chick: I loved the title of the recap on the first anvil will fall... I'm assuming they're getting closer to the end ?

RINGO

Thank you, RgvChick! Loved the title and the comprehensive recap with your “oh so apropos” comments: “Is true that ‘a bad seed never dies?’ ” Too bad there was no autopsy. Seeing Manuel dead in his bed made me think of the death of Marilyn Monroe. Anyway, your recap sure was a fun way to start the day!

I enjoyed the episode and can live with Brenda finally coming to her senses and making peace with Julia. That being said, if she ends up dead that is okay by me just not to have to hear that voice again. As for Gloria, she is so well set up for a fall. She passed her first test with “flying” colors.

For me the highlight was the appearance the ghost of Iván. Nothing like a supernatural touch!

Kirby, thanks for the laughs. You have a great imagination.

JudyB, yes someone should have thought of an autopsy given the situation with Diego and his possible involvement in Ivan’s death.. It seems that cremation is more popular than burials in these novelas which leads to NO evidence. Then again we only have three episodes left and Brenda just may be dead on the forest floor. There was probably no time to go down that road. Maybe Diego will confess to it if he sees he is trapped like a rat.

Diana, I agree with you about Brenda’s character being rehabilitated and as you stated not only for Julia’s sake but also for Alejo. I cannot wait to see Diego and Gloria get their just desserts.

The wind has been howling here all night long and also this morning. At least I do not have to be out in it. Hope weather is better wherever you all are.

Ringo

BTW, that was a BIG chunk of moola Boss Weasel gave Skunk Hair No More. Does Gloria not smell a rat? Is she nose blind because of her OWN smell?

If she can make that kind of money on an ongoing basis (no chance) she does not need Ringo or Turco's money anyway. Those same Mexicans who think nothing of Rosa, Ivan etc. etc. may not care, but the Americans and Canadians will sniff her out as soon as they have enough evidence to get her boss too.

OT
Weather is near record highs here in FloriDuh. Hot and humid lately, flirting with 90. They are closing the beaches which were full of spring breakers to further the Corona Virus Panic.

The "Virus" does not like Hot, Humid or Youth. So get those kids off the beach. More people die of bee stings.

RINGO

Jarifa, I liked Ivan's ghost appearing too! As Brenda listens to no living being, then, well, guess the dead and not quite buried is the next best bet.

Truthfully, Ivan and especially Manuel's deaths were both senseless. I would hate to think of anyone being hunted down lie a dog being shot and left to die. I hope they find Brenda in time.

"Skunk Hair No More" Kirby :)

It is supposed to go to 74 here today but it is no where near that. Yet. Rainy and grey. At least we have the patio to lift our spirits.

Amor Eterno.
#167 – Part I

(I don’t have a recorder…this the best I can remember given that I had a few phone call interruptions during the show. Some scenes are combined)

We start with Kemel going to bed. He thinks about the snake Asu being in his house so he smartly hides the pacifier under the pillow (too bad he wasn’t smart enough to not let her live with him). After he goes to sleep, Asu takes her cue to slither in and search for the pacifier…while flashing back …..allowing us to see she did indeed drug the tea. Bingo…she has her hands on it after boldly searching under his pillow. She switches it out after putting her DNA on the tip. The following morning….Asu is up…chipper and ready to have breakfast with Kemel. He doesn’t have time….he takes his leave. She smirks…rather pleased with herself and immediately calls Emir to let him know that Kemel has left the house….so Emir can put Tufan on his tail.

Later at the art loft Nihan has a conversation with Yasmin about her solo trip. (I didn’t catch the details…so don’t know if this was a meaningful scene)

At home, Fehime tries to talk to Hussein about mistakes and forgiveness. He’s not open to the conversation..shuts her down. They both go on with their day. We later see Fehime arrive at Zenep's hotel who appears to be getting worse.

At some point Kemel and Zehir have a conversation about Deniz, the pacifier and the DNA results (again…a phone interrupts so I didn’t get the details).

Leyla pays Ayan a visit at his shop. She chides him for having not responded to any of her messages. Poor Ayan looks defeated and disappointed. He asks her if she’s found what she’s looking for in his past. She talks about her loving dad who was nothing but good to her. Ayan discusses his past with her dad… when he was just a poor kid…an errand boy who fetched coffee. One day he overhears a conversation in the office about cutting the breaks on someone’s car. The driver subsequently is killed. After that….Leyla’s dad calls him into the office ….presumably for coffee. Arriving in the office….Ayan finds an office in disarray. He doesn’t know what’s going on when accusations start and the police soon arrive. Ayan’s poor, petrified and marginalized….doesn’t know what to say. Nobody would believe him anyway...he stays quiet initally. He does eventually try to tell someone the truth but it’s too late…he’s railroaded off to jail. Having learned his story, Leyla…is moved and heartened..gives him a hug. It’s not enough. Ayan’s disappointed...she assumed he was guilty first. He’s returned to feeling like that poor kid who has to remember his place in the world….he walks out.

Amor Eterno.
#167 – Part 2

Before Fehime ran off to see Zenep…she had an encounter with Tarik who asked where she’s going and why not take Banu with her….both women hate this idea and Fehim is off. After Fehime leaves, Banu tells Tarik to stop trying to force her onto his mom. Tarik realizing the house is empty wants to get frisky but Banu’s not in the mood. They have a spat and Banu runs off...she calls Emir to tell him she’s tired and wants out of this arrangement. Tarik overhears her talking and demands to know who she’s talking to.

Back at the hotel, Zenep is surprised and delighted to see her mom who has brought her food, clothes and meds …to help get better. Fehime talks to Zenep about taking care of herself. Zenep is grateful for the visit, kisses her moms hands and again confesses to someone that she doesn’t deserve the support. When Fehime tries to leave….Zenep begs her to stay. Fehime lectures her about pride…learning lessons and moving on with her life. Before she leaves…she gives Zenep a picture of herself…and tells her to find that girl.

At the office….we see Emir approach Leyla to start his evil works against her. She’s not in the mood to deal with him and his long winded taunts and she tells him he talks too much. Later in her office we see him try to get her to sign some papers…she protest asking what it’s about. He tells her he wants her to head the purchasing dept. She asks if it’s some type of set up and he deflects saying he doesn’t want his enemy Kemel in that dept. She eventually caves in and signs the docs. He immediately has an assistant to run them over to the finance dept.

Later at home….Emir shows Nihan picture proof that Kemel did exactly what he thought he would do…take the pacifier in for a DNA test. Knowing the consequences…Nihan panics and asks Emir if he was able to prevent that from happening.

In a final scene….we see Kemel, Zehir and Ayan meet. Kemel is still plotting on proving that Deniz is his (I missed the scene at the hospital and what happened with the results). His latest plan seems more dangerous than the last as it involves gaining access to the Kozcoglu house.

The end

RINGO

Thank you, Kirby, JudyB, Diana, and Jarifa! Well, we have only three episodes to go and things don;t seem to be moving as fast as I had thought.

JudyB, I feel your frustration over Brenda and her selfish, nonchalant ways. Would they really kill off another of Julia's family?? But I think you're right, JudyB, "Of course the character we hate the most will probably survive..." Ughhh! Oh well, she didn't kill anyone , so I suppose I'm okay with her survival and even redemption IF she makes a complete turn around.

Kirby, I can only shake my head when I see that someone who has died under suspicious circumstances is CREMATED! Jarifa, "It seems that cremation is more popular than burials in these novelas which leads to NO evidence." Pitiful, just pitiful!

Awww, JudyB, thank you for the virtual roses; they smell virtually nice :-) And the weather here is about the same as in Flori-duh, "Hot and humid lately, flirting with 90." It hasn't rained in WEEKS and most of the RGV has already made to the "severe drought" status.

AMOR ETERNO

Nett, thanks for the recap! You caught the best scene ( or most interesting to me) with Ayhan and Leila talking. I just hate seeing Ayhan so disheartened; I hope he is able to get past Leila's weaknesses so that they can have their happily ever after.

After Leila signed the document, Emir walked off and immediately called Tufan who was standing in front of a bank. Emir told him to go make the transfer into Leila's account so that it will seem that she and Ayhan are embezzling money from the company.

Zeynep is still pathetice with all her groveling. I'm glad Fehime wasn't moved by all the whining and crying. Fehime's tough love will only make a better woman of Zeynep (one can hope!).

Nothing happened with the pacifier. Kemal figured out that Emir would somehow change either the pacifier or the results of the testing, so he went through with his plan of dropping it off at the hospital so that Tufan, who was following him, wouldn't suspect that Kemal had figured out Emir's plan. That is why Kemal is planning to break into Emir's house...to get a sample of Deniz's DNA.

Niecie and House Star, I just went back to the previous page and noticed your comments. Thanks for dropping by.

Niecie, Turco has been "lying low" lately and does seem to have changed for the better. I hope he finds someone who will make him happy in his new life at the spiritual community. And, "Guevara hauling Guachin off to jail is just insane." DITTO!!

House Star, "Tonight’s episode was a real tear jerker especially when these big strong men tears are raining down" Yes, indeed! My tears were flowing too.

JAJAJA, Kirby! It's getting that desperate, isn't it? LOL

RINGO

Now that I've watched the whole show, I can see why folks are hoping that Brenda gets redeemed. On the other hand, often when a character makes amends, the next thing you know, they've gone to meet their Maker. Well, we'll find out soon enough.

Nice of her Papito to show up and counsel her, but it would have more helpful for him to show up earlier. After all!...

Kirby--I like your "let's make a deal" approach. Could work.

Ringo

Judy. GREAT, how many can you spare? I can email you a FedEx OVERNIGHT label.

:-) :-)

Actually, I know I'm not like most, I keep some in the boat, a roll or two in each Jet Ski and a couple in the car trunk. It is probably from working in the fields in Missislurpi as a kid miles from anything, and later working construction in college. You just never really forget how a handful of leaves compares to the modern stuff.

:-)

RINGO #80

Gracias, RGV Chick. I can't believe there are only 3 episodes left. Nor do I believe Brenda getting redemption. She has done so many bad things that Julia should never be expected to forgive her.

We can, however, expect that Diego will make at least one more attempt at murder and that his chosen victim would most likely be Julia.

Totally with all of you on the no autopsy situation. Or will there be a flashback to how Manuel was murdered?

Not long until we find out.

Ringo

BTW: do they really have time to bring Brenda back from near death and repent and make amends while Rosa makes a miraculous recovery, and Gloria gets busted and in jail in EEUU and Santi luuurves his Papa and Julia again and Ringo and Julia get married, and Diego gets caught and held accountable for murderS and gives all the money back and Alejo divorces Brenda anyway, and Eva and Max get married too?

RINGO

Yup Kirby. And more, I've do doubt :)

Diana

RINGO

I've no doubt.

RINGO

Chickie. Thank you so much for an update on all the action.

My predictions are that Dingo and Julia will have their happily ever after with Santi. Maybe Brenda will get the help she so desperately needs. Dingo might try to help Gloria out OF the pickle she has gotten herself into. The rest...no clue.

OT..Today my sweet daughter delivered a box of food to my front porch and advised me by phone to wipe off all the items ( including a box of cookies and fancy tea) with the Clorox wipes she included and then wash my hands as our local doctors have advised us to do. Then, I took a drive to the nearby village where my hub grew up into the fine man he was just to give the car a run. I have not been anywhere since Monday. I bought yellow pansies at a local honor payment stand ( nobody around. ) When I got home, I put the cheerful, yellow pansies on my front porch and put my spring wreath on my front door. We need a little spring and a little hope right now. At 3.00, I took Jimmy Fallon's advice and rang a bell outside to honor all those who are trying to take care of us in these scary, uncertain tines. Now I am going to take a walk. Sending out good vibrations to all my patio friends )))))))))). Stay safe.

Thank for the good vibrations susyQ)))

Ep 80: Part 1 The Bad Seed Doesn’t Die!!

When the wicked increase, transgression increases, but the righteous will look upon their downfall. (Proverbs 29:16)

We get to see Brenda shot again and fall to the ground. She was definitely hit because we see blood. Bruno goes over and drags her to the edge of the hill and pushes her down to the ravine with his foot.

At the club, Luchis arrives with her lawyer. She starts dissing Guachin because he promised he would give her everything she wanted, but Guachin refuse to spend his money on frivolous things. Guachin tells her he will sign the divorce papers, but when he sees that she wants half of his money and alimony he refuses…he ain’t no dummy!

Bruno calls Diego and tells him that Brenda is dead and there is no way she can be found.

Oso talks to Rosa and tells her that a therapist will come work with her the next day to help her regain the strength in her arms. When Rosa asks about her work at the cafeteria, Oso tells her not to worry about that since her health is more important right now.

Julia calls Leticia to ask if Brenda has been to see her, but Nopis. Julia wonders where Brenda could have gone. She calls Sandra to ask for Brenda, but Sandra hasn’t seen her…and Diego left to see the notary.

The Oso clan brainstorms about who Guachin could talk to for help with the divorce. Rosa suggests Max or Alejo.

Diego arrives at the notary and pretends to be there for a meeting that Brenda set up. He doesn’t know what the meeting is about. (lying scum!)

Guachin tells Cachito about getting a divorce. Max is not there, so Alejo volunteers to help him. Alejo looks over the document and tells Guachin that Luchis has no right to anything he had before they got married. Guachin smiles wide and appreciates Alejo’s free advice.

Diego continues his Janus-faced performance and calls Julia to tell her that he is waiting for Brenda at the notary. Julia avoids telling him that Brenda can’t be found. After Julia hangs up, Elsa comments that when Brenda goes jogging she sometimes stops somewhere to look around, but Julia still feels something is amiss.

At Turco’s house, Santi insists that he wants to go see Eva. Gloria thinks he has become very stubborn and tells him that he isn’t even friends with Eva. When Santi complains that he doesn’t want to live there, Gloria barks that they need to continue pressuring his father so that they can be a family again.

Julia arrives at Alejo’s office and tells him that she can’t find Brenda anywhere. When Alejo asks if Diego knew that she would be revoking is authority Julia thinks that he does, but Diego feigned ignorance. When Alejo suggests that Brenda may have changed her mind, Julia comments that Brenda was very set on revoking the authority, but Alejo reminds her that Brenda has been very set on doing several things, and doesn’t follow through.

Out in the woods, Brenda’s phone is on the ground and rings; Alejo leaves her a message.

In his office, Oso tells Rafa that Gonzales has called him and is interested in him. Gonzales offered to set up a match so that Rafa can fight Osvaldo in 3 months.

Julia returns home only to find that Elsa hasn’t heard anything from Brenda; so, Julia calls Ringo and tells him that she is worried that something may have happened to Brenda. Ringo on the way!!

RINGO
Ep 80: Part 2 The Bad Seed Doesn’t Die!!

Gloria gets a call from her slimy boss; he needs to see her the next morning. When Gloria goes looking for Santi, she can’t find him anywhere.

Alejo arrives at Julia’s house at the same time that Ringo does. Julia wouldn’t be too worried about Brenda, but since Brenda was set on revoking Diego’s authority, she fears that Diego may have done something to her. When she suggests calling the cops, Alejo reminds her that they can’t do anything until she is missing for 72 hours. Ringo then asks Julia to tell them everything that Brenda said to Julia the night before.

Eva shows Max pictures of his parents. When he sees her parent’s wedding picture, he suggests that they get married just like her father hoped they would. Max gets down on one knee and proposes…again. Eva agrees…and she will get married in a white dress! Just then, Santi enters and tells Eva that he is very sad that her father died. When he tells her that they will never see him again, Eva tells him that is what happens when someone dies and adds that they just need to go on with their lives…and know that he will always be in their hearts.

Gloria is at Teresa’s house looking for Santi. Teresa chides her for losing Santi again and thinks that this is just another of Gloria’s ploys to snare Ringo. After Gloria leaves, Teresa calls Ringo and tells him that Gloria lost Santi again. Ringo goes to look for Santi and Julia and Alejo will go see Diego.

Ringo beams over to Turco’s house and questions Gloria about what she could have said to Santi to make him leave. Just then Eva brings Santi back so Ringo thanks her. Ringo reminds Santi that he has told him not to go out alone and asks him to promise not to do it again. After Santi is sent to his room, Gloria comments that Santi always listens to Ringo and thinks that Ringo should be there with them so they can live as a family. Ringo sternly reminds her that IT AIN'T HAPPENIN’! Gloria hisses that he can go with Julia, but Santi will stay with her. After Ringo leaves, Gloria huffs like a mad bull.

Julia and Alejo arrive at Diego’s office and ask him for Brenda. Diego scoffs that he wouldn’t know…she stood him up at the notary’s office. Julia is sure he did something to her since she was going to revoke his authority, but Diego feigns ignorance. When Julia accuses him of making Brenda disappear, Diego warns her that he can sue her for defamation. When Alejo interjects, Diego chides him since Alejo had already expressed that he wanted nothing to do with the Garay family. Julia threatens that if Diego did something to Brenda, she will make sure he rots in jail.

Santi is worried that he caused problems between his parents. Gloria tells him that he did and he will have to do help her fix it. He will have to tell his father that he wants them to be together.

At Rosa’s apartment, Guachin tells Rosa that the boss really loves her…he has really fought for her—writing songs, following her to the ends of the earth and taking care of her when she was in the hospital. When he asks what else she wants, Rosa agrees that Oso is a good man.

Ringo is back at Julia’s house and calls Teresa to tell her that Santi was found. Julia and Alejo are also back; so, Julia shares that they got nowhere with Diego. When Ringo asks if Brenda had her phone with her, Julia confirms that she did; so, Ringo asks her to bring Brenda’s laptop…he might have a phone locator on it. While they wait, Alejo and Ringo discuss getting custody of Santi; Alejo will submit the request the next day. Julia brings the laptop, but they have trouble getting figuring out the password. Julia suggests “Ringo” since Brenda was obsessed with him. And VOILA they’re in. Ringo then accesses the Find my Phone app and locates the phone. Alejo will call Commander Padilla for help.

RINGO
Ep 80: Part 3 The Bad Seed Doesn’t Die!!

Guachin thanks Rosa for listening to him. After he leaves, Rosa remembers her dinner with Oso where he told her she is his inspiration…and that he loved her. Meanwhile, at Oso’s place, Rafa knows that Oso misses Rosa. Just then, Rosa calls Rafa and asks him not to say it’s her. She wants Rafa to take Oso out the apartment for a while…she wants to give Oso a surprise,

Out in the woods, Ringo and Alejo find Brenda’s phone as the cops arrive. They start yelling out for her and start searching the area. After a few minutes, one of the cops yells out since he found traces of blood.

Oso returns home to find a candlelit path to his bedroom. He enters to find Rosa sitting on his bed. She tells him that she loves him; he tells her that he loves her too…she is the love of his life…and the KISSS! (Aw, how sweet; Rosa gives it up :-)

The Next Day—

Oso is humming and shaking his bootie as he makes breakfast. After Rosa comes out of the bedroom and sits down, Oso tells her that he wants to wake up with her every day for the rest of his life. Rafa enters and wonders why Rosa is there so early; so, Oso tells him that he invited her to breakfast. As Rafa sits down, he asks Rosa is he can already call her “mother.”

Julia wakes up on the couch and wonders why they haven’t called her…she has a bad feeling.

Out in the woods, the search is still on. The commander tells Alejo that there are no signs of Brenda so he is going to call for reinforcements.

Gloria drops off Santi as school and tells the teacher that no one is to pick up Santi unless she authorizes it.

At Oso’s place, Rosa smiles as she gets used to calling Oso, “Oscar.” When she tells him that she needs to leave, he tells her that he will never let her go. As he sweet-talks her, the therapist arrives and explains the treatment she will give Rosa.

Out in the woods, Alejo yells out that he found Brenda’s phone; so, they start yelling out to Brenda.

At Oso’s place, the therapist starts the treatment. Very brief scene! (ughh!)

Out in the woods, we see Brenda lying by a tree. Soon after, Ringo spots her and yells out that he found her. She’s still ALIVE!!! Alejo and Ringo take of their jackets and cover her to keep her warm as Alejo urges her to hold on. In a flash, the ambulance is there and Brenda is taken to hospital. Ringo calls Julia and tells Julia that they found Brenda but she is in bad shape…she was shot. Julia rushes off to the hospital.

Ep 80: Part 4 The Bad Seed Doesn’t Die!!

Another brief scene with Rosa and the therapist finishing the session. (double ughh!)

At the station, Padilla calls in Garfias and tells him about Brenda being lost and that they found her in critical condition, but alive.

Julia runs into the hospital as Brenda is taken in. The paramedic tells her that Brenda was shot near the liver and has lost a lot of blood.

Gloria arrives to see her boss who gives her a bundle of money since the account she picked up submitted a large order. He then tells her he has another job that could earn her lots of money…this time she is to go to Miami to deliver some dolls that contain something special. When she asks what it is, he tells her that she is a smart woman; she knows exactly what he is taking about, but she will be in no danger. Gloria nods and asks when she will have to leave.

Ringo calls Teresa and tells her about Brenda. He then calls Oso to tell him that he won’t be able to train. He then explains that he is the hospital because Brenda got shot. Oso worries that Ringo is getting distracted with so many problems and reminds Ringo of his match for the world championship. The doctor comes out and tells Julia that they were able to remove the bullet, but Brenda is in a coma.

Diego is in his office when Garfias calls him to tell him that Brenda was found…and, by some miracle she is alive. Diego quickly contracts his bottom cheeks!

Fin of the antepenultimate episode!

RINGO

Wow! Excellent recap from the title to the quote from Proverbs to “ . . . he ain’t no dummy!” to “Janus-faced” to “Diego quickly contracts his bottom cheeks!” That last one is a keeper for sure! Thanks, RgvChick.

This was another great episode.

What I liked:

They got out of the studio and into the forest with Brenda’s shooting. Now we know what the mountain forest looks like around Mexico City. ( Lucky for Brenda that her killer wasn’t a professional.)

Gauchín was smart and didn’t sign anything.

The search for Brenda took a good long time.

We didn’t have to listen to Brenda with her being unconscious and now in a coma.

Gloria getting set up for the fall. Her greed will take her down.

Teresa telling Gloria off.

Julia confronting Diego.

RINGO was the password on Brenda’s laptop.

Julia actually knew Brenda’s cell phone number.

Rosa’s surprise for Oso.

Oso telling Rosa to call him Óscar.

Rafael asking Rosa if he could call her mom.

Rosa’s therapy turning out to be electrical nerve/muscle stimulation and not a neck machine in the gym . . . yet. . . (I still don’t like this subplot.)

What I didn’t like:

It seems like we have always been looking for someone who has gone missing in this novela. That gets tedious and is another weakness in the overall plot structure.

RINGO

Good morning Rgv Chick and Patio. Nope, the Bad Seed didn't die, but she's in a COMA and hopefully will stay there for a while. Nice to have a respite from Brenda's hysterical drivel. Just wish Dr. Carlos was still around to joke about it. Comas always set him off.

Thanks for elevating this resumé with a quote from Proverbs. Between the Bible and Shakespeare we have so many proverbs, dichos and wise sayings. Both have been so formative for our Western European civilization and for the Americas as well.

Rgv Chick, I always look for your parentheses because that's where the sassy Chickie comes out.

(lying scum) for instance

but Janus-faced performance Our Chickie is not just sassy but downright educated

The scene between Eva and Max was cute. I was impressed that he could fashion a wedding ring out of a paper clip that quickly. Well-done buddy.

Gloria huffs like a mad bull. Wow. Word power! You really created quite a picture there.

Another sweet scene was Guachin playing matchmaker and talking up Don Oso's love for Rosa. I disliked his peroxided hair and weird haircut at first, but have grown quite fond of the squirrely little guy.

Oh jeez, the candlelit route to Amor. I was just waiting for those paper bagged candles to catch fire and interrupt the love-making. But evidently all went well. Anyway, a fella who makes you scrambled eggs the next morning?--what's not to love?

Oso is humming and shaking his bootie. Cesar Evora is having fun with this role. Hope he's as adorable in real life as he is in this show.

Antepenultimate. Wow again--way to throw around the Latin and Greek derivatives! Classy lady but with a touch of hot sauce in the humor. Works for me, my friend. Thanks.

Judy: Let's hope Brenda the bad seed stays in a coma forever.

Kirby: RIP Country Music legend Kenny Rogers.

Kirby, had to throw this in for you. Supposedly a message during these tough times from from a well-known buffet restaurant.....

We're not going to bullshit you about our safety precautions because frankly, we don't have any. Our customers fear nothing, not even death. If they did, they wouldn't be eating at the f**king [name of restaurant]. Hell, have you seen our chocolate fountain? Of course a coma, there is more of those than bunny hopping in TNs. Kinda the catch all. Poop, now we get to worry that Diego knows if she ever comes up for air, he is toast.

I like how Julia's hemline has moved up with the crisis level. Kinda an Ally McBeale with legs you'd actually LOOK at.

OT Life goes merrily along in FloriDuh where nobody works anyway.
There are us who USED to work, then the layabouts who are on welfare or disability or something.

With the stores and beaches closed, the only thing left is to go boating, especially with weather flirting with 90.

So I drove over to the marina to take a look around yesterday, a Friday. It was like minnows in a bait bucket. It was so busy they actually had assigned police there to try to keep order. And you neverrrr, everrrr see a cop around boats and water or marinas. I skedaddled back home, scratching that idea and assumed it was a good time to scan the computers for ....VIRUSES... :-)

OT:
Judy thanks, I have never eaten at one of those buffet places. I have been in a couple with friends many years ago and saw approximately what the writeup described. People munching along up there and LICKING their fingers, snotty nosed kids turned loose, rummaging through the food like a toy box. UGH! Nastyyyy.

Never been in one again.

Rgv Chick, there was much drama and angst and anguish and your recap captured everything perfectly. Like Jarifa and Judy, loved "Diego quickly contracts his bottom cheeks!" and "Janus-faced performance" and "antepenultimate episode" among many others. Exceptional, every word.

Jarifa, I also smiled at Rafa asking Rosa if he could call her mom! And Guachin was feisty in not signing the papers Luchis shook in his face. Nothing can get Guachin down, sunshine and strength. And "Ringo" as the password was a nice touch.

"Santi is worried that he caused problems between his parents". There are man crimes and sordid acts being committed here, but few as worse as manipulating a child.

"Oh jeez, the candlelit route to Amor. I was just waiting for those paper bagged candles to catch fire and interrupt the love-making. But evidently all went well". Judy, I kept looking thinking, no, they aren't paper, but yup. Another crisis averted. But I love Cesar...

It appears Brenda may live. I hope she learns from this hard lesson.

Fantastic episode and equally superb recap. Thank you.

and: "It appears Brenda may live. I hope she learns from this hard lesson."

Count me out. I want her to regain consciousness long enough to give her account of the murder attempt then Diego finish her skank ass off for good. If there is a remote chance she might revert back to the old Brenda eventually, yes about 100 percent, then plant her. Why risk it? She contributes zero to humanity in general and her circle in particular.

Mr. Mean

O/T

Diana, looks like they were doing a promo for “Te doy la vida” starting mid April at 7:00 CST last night????? It is starring José Ron ( he better grab those galán roles while he can) with Jorge Salinas AND César Évora. It starts 3/23 in Mexico.

The previous night, there were a couple of promos for “Como tú no hay dos” starring Adrián Uribe which was only described as coming “SOON.”

Chickie, thank you so much for that great retelling as we barrel toward the finish line.

I enjoyed watching Dingo ( I am not even going to fight with autocorrect anymore..you win ) and Al running and stumbling through the forest.

What is the age difference between Oso and Rosa?...like 30 years ??? And Rosabin her virginal, white pinafore....uff. No just no...scrambled eggs in the a.m. Or not. Sorry , this storyline just bothers me, but it must make older guys feel hopeful . Would they cast an older actress with a 30 year old guy ?

OT...Judy and Kirby...your comments lift my spirits while I am home alone and don't get to get out and distract myself with friends and family. I don't go to those buffet barns , but I really feel sad for the owners of hub's and my favorite local restaurant where the owners and bartender but me every time I visit and tell me how much they loved hub. They send emails trying to survive and are now serving takeout meals. What a time.
KIrby, I would so like to get on a boat and sail away for awhile, but I have to settle for walking around my big backyard.

RINGO

Good Day , Patio

Thank you, thank you, for the sweet commentary! Your generosity is appreciated.

Jarifa, once again, I agree with your likes and dislikes. Rafa asking to call Rosa "mom" was really cute, but my first thought was, "Hmmm, what will Sandra have to say about that?"

JudyB, "Nice to have a respite from Brenda's hysterical drivel." Oh, yes indeed! I'm hoping that with so many hard knocks tumbling down that hill, it will have knocked some sense into her. And, "Our Chickie is not just sassy but downright educated." Oh I try really hard to fool all of you LOL (j/k). Oh and I agree that Cesar must be having a blast with this role.

Kirby, I didn't notice the hemline either, but now I'm on alert :-)

Diana, "There are man crimes and sordid acts being committed here, but few as worse as manipulating a child." How very true! To take advantage of an innocent is downright cruel and selfish. I REALLY hope Gloria rots in jail. I was really surprised that she agreed to deliver the dolls knowing what they had inside. She's a toxic mother, but I thought engaging in criminal activity would be beneath her.

Susanlynn, I would guess that the age difference between Oso and Rosa is about 30 years (as it is in RL...28 years to be exact). And I do remember a couple of other TNS where an older actress was cast with a 30-something year old. In "Mi Marido Tiene Familia," Julieta's mom ended up with Robert's friend; and in Doble Vida, Erika Buenfil (who is also cast in "Te Doy La Vida) was seeing a much younger guy too. Oh, and in "Vino EL Amor," Azela Robinson was after the hunky young cop.

OT - Jarifa, I saw the promo for "Te Doy La Vida" too! It starts April 13th (IIRC) and there is a description of it AND "Como Tu No Hay Dos" on the "Coming...in 2020" page. Between the time that "Ringo" ends and "Te Doy La Vida" starts, "La Rosa de Guadalupe" will be aired at 8PM. Thank goodness they stayed away from double episodes for Amor Eterno!

RINGO - OT

SUSANLYNN...The situation for restaurants here is dire as well. But one very fine restaurant is serving take-out meals like so many--but here's the kicker--they include a handwritten thank-you note to their take-out clients in the bag, along with A ROLL OF FREE TOILET PAPER WITH EVERY MEAL!

I love all the clever, humorous ways people are trying to cope.

Epi 168 - Part I

Here is what I remember from last night...

Emir, Ayan and Zehir continue their plot to get inside the house. They know that Emir will be on alert for an attack but he doesn't know how, when or where. While discussing their plot, Ayan receives a fax from the director of finance Kozcoglu company. He's confused and has no idea what the fax is about...he has no dealings or purchases with the company. Kemel smells a rat ...will get to the bottom of it but not now...he has to get into the house tonight.

While Nihan is packing and discussing her trip to get away from Emir...but now is a get away with Emir...he's in Deniz's room. Confessing more undying fatherly love for her and her mom. Deniz will be the glue for him and Nihan.

Later that night Kemel and crew outside the mansion..spying the gate and activity within. Kemel did do some research into the wayward fax and and has deduced that Emir has set a trap for both Ayan and Leyla. It's a set up to make them look guilty of defrauding the company. Kemel will handle it later

Emir checks on Nihan's packing. He cracks that her bag is big..is she moving. Nihan quips that she's not leaving him but we all know she's dying to. Emir spouts more nonsense of undying love that Nihan rightly ignores. He has not learned that you can not force or torture someone into loving let alone liking you.

With everyone in their place Emir starts his plan. He starts by calling Zehir who is with Sera watching the tv. He allows her to see the incoming call but takes it in another room. As expected....she snoops and over hears what he wants her to...that he will sneak into Emirs office tonight. She alerts Emir, who follows the lead and has Tufan and his men to head to the office. Nihan having heard part of Emir's concern calls Kemel to see if he's up to something. They banter and toy with each other ...ending with Kemel stating that he will see her soon.

With Emir out of the house...the real plot starts. A fumigating truck comes to fumigate the premises but are not allowed in. As they leave..they spray a sleeping gas and the guards fall asleep. Next...Kemel has someone to cut the power to the house so they have no lights. He then easily walks thru the gates and through the front door of the house. He makes it to Deniz's room where Nihan is soothing Deniz...saying not to worry...you have your mama...and your papa. Kemel winces at the latter.

Nihan eventually leaves Deniz in her bad and goes about the house to check on her mom and staff and try to figure out what happened. Kemel takes advantage...picks up Deniz and takes the hair sample.

In the meanwhile as Zehir walks into Emir's office... Emir is seated..turns on the lights and thinks he's surprised Zehir and caught him red handed...asking why are you robbing my office. Zehir stays calm and denies the accusation...saying he's only delivering a document to Kemel's office...and pretends he didn't know he wasn't in the right office. Emir suspects something and calls home to check on Nihan. She indicates they are OK but have no lights. The light in Emir's head goes off and he rushes home realizing the real plot is at the house.

Epi 168 - Part 2

Kemel's exit does not appear to go that smoothly. He's made it downstairs into the kitchen to exit when Nihan comes in. She senses something..a shadow or noise. She investigates. In the meantime, Emir, his staff and even the police eventually make it to the house. Nihan discovers Kemel's dark figure so he grabs her and covers her mouth to stop her from screaming. They banter again about his presence and he steals a kiss reminding her he told her he'd see her soon. She tells him to leave as the police are searching...calling him her crazy love as he makes it across the yard. As he runs...Emir sees his figure and gives chase. Kemel is quick and jumps over a fence. Emir in hot pursuit jumps the fence as well and tackles the figure assuming its Kemel and snatches off his mask. What Emir didn't see is that Kemel jumped the fence and then jumped on a motor cycle ridden there by a decoy who lingers to get caught.

Ayan then approaches Emir and the decoy, admonishing the decoy for gettng caught. He takes responsibility for all that took place that night. He explains that this is just a lesson for Emir that his dad forced him into. He warns that he and his dad should leave him and Leyla alone or they will regret it.

Nihan goes back to check on Deniz. As he leaves...she notices a wet footprint on the rug in her room. She flashes back to Kemel's presence in the house. Has she finally figured out why he was really there? The next morning, Kemel drops the samples by the lab where he's told it will be about a week before he gets the results.

(At some point...Zehir visits Sere. I didn't catch the details but it appears they had a child together that passed away. I believe he blames her...and admonishes her character)

It's a week later and we see Kemel near the sea with the results. He's full of angst and torment by what's inside. He finally prays that it only reveals the truth and he opens the envelop. His torment and anguish eventually gives way to joy and tears ....Deniz is his daughter. His joy then turns way to revelation and concern....Deniz is his daughter...what will he do with this.

The End.

First, Judy loved the story about the restaurant! Forget about toney restaurants trying to be chic - practicality first! :)

Jarifa and Rgv Chick, thank you for the info on what's next. The only person I saw in the quick preview was Jorge Salinas. I didn't see the name so thought it might be Un Poquito Tuyo. I will have to look up "Te Doy La Vida". Thankfully, Jose Ron seems like a good guy not to mention easy on the eyes so I have no problem seeing him again. As you noted Jarifa, he better grab the roles while they are being offered!

What fun we've all had here. And, it's not over yet!!

AMOR ETERNO

Nett, thank you fo recap! Wow! Five days in a row ..and you are as energized as ever!

Kemal's plan was amazing; he didn't missed anything. His plan actually "Killed THREE birds with one stone" (so to speak).

First and foremost, he got the hair sample YEEPEEE!!! Second, with talking Zehir to take his call at his home and make sure Zehra snooped so that she would call Emir. Zehir found out that Zehra was backstabbing him the whole time! WOOHOOO! And third, when Emir was chasing Kemal and Kemal scaled the wall and went over, one of Ayhan's guys switched places with Kemal. When Emir caught the guy (whom he thought was Kemal), Ayhan came out and told Emir that the man was one of his guys. He suggested that Emir think about how easy it was for his men to get into his house; and they could just as easily to it again. Ayhan suggested the Emir leave him AND Leila out of his little games. So-o, Kemal put a stop to Emir's plot to accuse Leila and Ayhan of fraud (at least I hope so :-). YEEHAWW!!! KUDOS to Kemal..and the writers!

Now what was really puzzling to me (and I don't know it this was covered in the first season) was that when Zehir returned to the house, he told Zehra that he was only there to clear one thing up and he never wanted to see her again (since he now knows that she's a traitor)--he told her that their son died, not because of him, but because of her. Was there more to that story?

Nett, It's a week later and we see Kemel near the sea with the results. He's full of angst and torment by what's inside. He finally prays that it only reveals the truth and he opens the envelop. His torment and anguish eventually gives way to joy and tears ....Deniz is his daughter. His joy then turns way to revelation and concern....Deniz is his daughter...what will he do with this? What a beautiful description of that scene! Very well written! I also liked the way that they started that scene with a flashback of when he and Nihan were there; and Nihan asked for his help...and he pretty much very coldly turned her down.

I wonder who keeps casting Jose Ron. I like him very much, but I would like to see a little variety in galans..some guy for every taste like the good old tn days. I guess we will never see Tblmoe in a tn again ....sad to say.

Ringo
You girls can have Jose Run. I get so distracted trying to remember where all those Barnum and Bailey tattoos are when they have them painted over it just makes it hard to concentrate.

Plus, I'd rather see maybe Renata Noti if it is set where it is hot enough to go swimming.

:-)

O/T

RgvChick, I highly recommend your “Coming . . . In 2020”. It has lots of great info.

Susanlynn, I think José Ron is the “ galán flavor of the day” who must help them in the ratings and $$$$. I am happy to see Jorge Salinas again but he isn’t being given galán billing in this one. That ship sails oh so fast. It makes me think of Jaime Camil who was playing the leading lady’s father in “Jane the Virgin” even though he was only in his early 40’s.

I am happy that we have a couple of interesting possibilities on the horizon but am disappointed they are not starting sooner.

When my friends used to go to those Buffet places I always kidded them about bellying up to the trough. 'Oink oink'.

OT

Thanks, Jarifa! And regarding José Ron, he seems to be a favorite of Lucero Suarez. She produced "Enamorandome de Ramon," "Ringo," and now "Te Doy La Vida." Not saying anything more about that, but I can't control my thoughts. :-D

OT...Chickie ....ah ha, I see !!

RINGO

Rgv Chick, great job. Just a blast catching up with the last two episodes. My faves:

stupid, stupid beyotch!

Guachin tells her he will sign the divorce papers, but when he sees that she wants half of his money and alimony he refuses…he ain’t no dummy!

He doesn’t know what the meeting is about.(lying scum!)

Ringo beams over to Turco’s

Ringo does get around, defying traffic all over town.

Brenda takes a bullet to the lower back, is dumped down a ravine, where she stays bleeding out for least a day, but survives. Being cray cray loca must give her super strength.

At last, in the hospital, maybe the docs will discover Brenda wasn’t taking her meds. Hmmm, but what’s a properly medicated Brenda like anyway? I don’t even think Julia and Elsa know.

I like Santi, but isn't this the third time he's walked off without alerting a parent? There's been at least two amber alerts out for him already. When is that kid going get some real punishment?

This TN has gotten scrambled toward the end and I put full blame at the writers' feet, but I'll miss it. The friendships -- Manuel and Oso, Oso and Ringo, Ringo and Alejo, Julia and Eva (well, they're cousins, but Eva seems to be Julia's only friend!). The couples: Julia and Ringo, she let us down a lot, but they do have great chemistry, and surprisingly, I was satisfied at her forgetting her pride and trying to train as a boxer to get close to him. Eva and Max, very sweet. Rosa and Oso, I too think she's too young for him, but they have good chemistry. The writers must have mixed feelings about them too cause they were already fully dressed at the breakfast table the morning after.

Susan Lynn. ITA about José Ron. We need some variety re: galanes!!

JARIFA: Gee. What interesting possibilities are on the horizon? I didn’t see any or are they WAY in the future. Pray tell!!!
We need something in April, especially in this current stay-at-home climate!!

Thank goodness he finally has the Deniz proof. Let’s hope Emir doesn’t start claiming that Kemal’s result was fake!
I was thrilled that Kemal finally caught that —— Zehra!!! Very clever plan.

Nette love the recap. You've been spot on. Love That kemal and zehir turned the table on emir. Since he don't have a child of his own he wants to steal his enemy's child. And probly raise her to be an even bigger child Of hell Than he is. NOT.GONNA.HAPPEN. Daddy is comin to get his Babygirl. And her momma. When he's calmed down, cuz me thinks he may be abit pist at mom. That look on his face said"NIHAN))))))
Yeah he mad.

Emir you cant have other folk youngins
Have your own. If you can get somebody

RgvChick, thanks for the info! !!!

RINGO

Thanks, Niecie! I hadn't thought about the doctors figuring out that Brenda hasn't been taking her meds, but that would be great! maybe then, Julia will FINALLY have her committed until she is stable. OR maybe since Brenda seems to be in repentant mode, maybe she'll take them on her own.

AND..."Brenda takes a bullet to the lower back, is dumped down a ravine, where she stays bleeding out for least a day, but survives. Being cray cray loca must give her super strength." My thoughts exactly!!

AMOR ETERNO

Nett, thanks for confirming that the Zehir's and Zehra's past hadn't been addressed during the first season. I hope we get more background...inquiring minds want to know!

RINGO

"Hmmm, but what’s a properly medicated Brenda like anyway? I don’t even think Julia and Elsa know". I wonder if we will get to see that Niecie? Great point.

Rgv Chick, your "maybe since Brenda seems to be in repentant mode, maybe she'll take them on her own" would be great..

And the friendships are amazing. The glue that held this together for me.

AMOR ETERNO

Hello,

I’ve finally caught up on the last three episodes. Finally Kemal knows Deniz is his child. Nihan told him that she was going out of the country the day they were in the stables, so that’s probably why Kemal rushed to get Denise’s DNA sample.

Nina, Zeynep would gladly have Emir’s child. I wouldn’t be surprised if Emir uses her for that purpose alone. I still don’t think that his affection for Denise is fake though.

My theory on Zehir and Zera is that she aborted his child when he was incarcerated in Germany. Zehir found out, so when he got released he didn’t want to contact her anymore. When he confronted Zera on friday’s episode, it seemed like they’ve never addressed the issue of their child before. Zera probably never told him and was shocked to hear him mention it.

Nett, thank you so much for recapping the episodes. If you’d like, I can probably help out with two days. Just let me know.

Anonfri...thanks for your insights.....and for sure lets tag team the recaps. Im still learning the language.

Kemel must be full of doubt and angst about Nihans trip and purpose...now that he knows the truth. Does he think shes escaping with deniz Hopefully he remembers nihahs angst and statement that shes doing it all for deniz. More importantly....he should remember who and what emir is...and is capable of doin. He has to know that nihan is still living with emir under threat. But...i still think nihan should have told him everything about all the threats to family. However...knowing this makes one think that only emirs death would free them.

So ole Diablo and Carpet Head Bruno thought they could kill Branda the way you kill a human? Ha!, think again Einsteins. They have, what?, two hours to figure it out?

Will they petition LooneyVision for more time because of the Virus?

Can't wait to see this show is all wrapped up and what anvils are given out to be baddies.

I don't think emir's love for Deniz is fake either it's just a bit twisted. He's using it to stick it to Kamal which means it comes with stipulations when Deniz is old enough to figure things out for herself he's going to turn on her too. but I don't think it'll get that far cuz kemal now knows that she's his little girl. And he's gonna move heaven earth to get her away from that evil alien Known as
Pucker puss.
Kemal is so angry right now, she gonna
Have to do some explaining to calm him
Cuz he's been lied to for a Whole year
Even befor when they were together he always wanted a little princessita.
He always had a connection with Deniz
With that first finger hold theirs hearts connected.

Hello Nett,

What days would you like me to cover? I probably won’t be able to do the full recaps yet, but the shorts are extremely helpful too.

Nina, true that Emir uses Denise against Kemal. I still remember the scene when Kemal signed over his business at the mansion and when he was about to get into his car, he noticed Emir make Denise wave goodbye at him. As serious as the whole thing was, I can’t help but find that part funny.
