Epi 172 - Part I

We pick up with Nihan and Kemel telling Kemel to have patience, which he’s ran out of because now that he knows the truth, he wants to be with his daughter. They continue discussing Nihan’s strategy to rid themselves once and for all of Emir while protecting Deniz. She’s concerned that if they tackle the situation the wrong way, Deniz will get in the cross fire. She doesn’t care about herself…even it causes her life but she doesn’t want anything to happen to Deniz or Kemel...being the constant sacrificial lamb she is. And being the alpha male he is...Kemel is ready to confront Emir and he will not let anything happen to Deniz. Anyway, Nihan tries to reason with Kemel…she knows Emir won’t let them live in peace…she pleads with Kemel to have confidence in her plan. She recognizes that all that has happened is because of Emir’s obsession for her and his view that Kemel is the enemy keeping her from him. She gives an example of just how demented Emir is when she tells Kemel about the scene at the cliff when Emir fakes allowing Deniz’s carriage roll over the cliff. This gets Kemels attention….he doesn’t want his daughter to spend not one more minute with Emir. So Nihan questions then what is his plan…what should they do now that he knows what Emir is capable of. His instinct is to just get in the car and just leave….go far way and start over. Nihan doesn’t agree….and she’s still stuck on the death of her brother. It wasn’t a suicide and she still wants to know what happen. She can’t go on with her life without getting to the bottom of it. His death was in vain if they don’t get to the bottom of this. And there’s the question of his family and Leyla. What would become of them if Emir can’t find them. Emir would only take out his rage on them. And she can’t live the rest of her life looking over her back. Kemel finally agrees. They will tackle all these issues…but together. Nihan…reasons with him. Keep things as they are until they get to the bottom of everything.

Zehir is at his shop when Zehra comes to talk and of course he doesn’t want to. She tells him to listen and we get a flashback to their youth. She’s walking down a sidewalk when she hears a police siren. She realizes it has something to do with Zehir…her father has denounced him and the police are coming for him. She runs to warn him and he’s running in her direction from around the corner. She runs toward him and steps in the middle of the street without looking and steps in front of car and she is struck and looses their baby. Having told this point of view, she concedes that it was her fault their baby was lost but she points out that he shares the blame as well. She points out the life he’s living based on the choices he’s made. He counters that she wanted revenge and she’s gotten it by stabbing him in the back…and he asks if she feels better. Her answer is no. She feels the same. He’s like poison tp her and she feels damned because she still loves him. They embrace.

Speaking of the damned…Hakan is dropping Zenep off at her hotel..and she thanks him and bids him farewell. What they don’t realize is that Emir is watching from afar. Hakan gets out of the car to place a scarf around Zenep…and he confesses that he really likes her. She’s looks troubled…is it because of Hakan’s confession or that she spots Emir across the way. She bids Hakan farewell and he leaves. She and Emir make eye contact from afar she turns to go inside. She thinks twice and goes across the street to confront him and he gets out the car. He accuses of being unfaithful . She demands to know what he wants with her and he quips that he knows she still loves him…he leaves.

Epi 172 - Part 2


Back at the cabin…Nihan is asleep and Kemel peeks in on Deniz. He tells Deniz he can’t leave her with this man and Nihan overhears. When he leaves the room a worried Nihan sends a text to Leyla who is looking at the court summons when she gets the text asking her to come to the cabin tomorrow as early as possible. Meanwhile, Kemel is outside on the balcony contemplating it all and his obsessive stalker Asu is parked outside. She drives away while talking with someone on the phone..putting in motion her sinister plans. (did Kemel see Asu drive away).

The next morning, Kemel comes for his princess Deniz…..and declares nothing can separate them (the exact words that always put in motion a long separation). Muhan wakes up to a vigilant Emir…who happily greets her “madre…do you recognize me…do you remember me”. She looks a little shocked…and tries to speak. He kisses her…she cries/moans. She finally utters the word hijo. More kisses of delight from Emir. Kemel wakes a sleeping Nihan. She asks if he’s made a decision and he says yes…he’s not going to leave her..and they should leave now. She tries to stall him by saying they should talk it over during breakfast. He’s not interested…he’s packed and ready to go. He tells her to decide….and she doesn’t want to be forced into this decision. He tries to leave with Deniz when Nihan refuses to go. She chases after him begging him not do this. She begs him not to be stubborn...they both declare their parental rights. Nihan tries to make him see he’s not acting rational. She finally gets him to think rationally and he convinces her he agrees. He tells Nihan to go back into the cabin and he will follow with Deniz but when she turns away…he drives off. Nihan attempts to follow not realizing her car has been sabotaged. At this moment, we see Asu receive a call from someone who confirms that Nihan is in car and the deed has been done…and an Asu confirms their job is done. Apparently Asu’s plan was to kill but both Nihan and Deniz in a car accident. What a horrible person...she doesn't mind getting blood on her hands...but an innocent baby. Heartlessness runs in the family...on the father's side of course.

In the meanwhile, Nihan is giving Kemel chase in her car while talking to him on the cell phone. They both try to get the other one to stop. She keeps pleading with him not to do this...and tries to tell him doesn’t know what Emir is capable of.... she can’t let Kemel take Deniz like this. Kemel tries to get Nihan to stop giving chase ...its dangerous. While she's pleading and trying to keep up she realizes her breaks don’t work and screams she loosing control of the car. As he’s yelling at her to stop, she does loose control .... screams for his help right before crashing into a tree on the side of the road. A shocked Kemel stops his car…and runs back across the street screaming her name. He finally gets the car door open to help her. He then runs into the middle of the road screaming for help but finally uses his cell phone to call for help.

In the meanwhile Tarik spies Banu making a phone call so he grabs the phone in time to hear Emir on the other end call Banu’s name. He ends the call and demands to know what business she has with Emir while she tries to deflect....saying it was about a job and she can't deal with him not trusting her. She tries to get her phone back bur Tarik angrily slams it to the floor.

Epi 172 - Part 3


Back at the accident, an emotional Kemel pleads with Nihan not to leave him while he waits for help. At this moment, Leyla an Ayan are in route when they come across the scene of the accident. They run to the rescue and ask what happened and Ayan calls an ambulance. They then inquire about Deniz who has been left in Kemel's car. Kemel has lost his cool since he blames himself for the accident and frets that Nihan is dead. Ayan tries to calm him while Leyla goes for Deniz. Since Kemel is still freaking out…Ayan does the manly thing and slaps Kemel back into realty and we hear the ambulance approach.

Later, Tarik has tried to man up once again…calls Emir and demands to meet. Emir shuts him down and ends the call. Back at the accident scene the ambulance has taken Nihan away and Ayan is giving Leyla instructions….she’s to take charge of Deniz and he reminds her that Emir cannot know that Kemel was there so they have to have their story straight.

Back at the office, Tufan brings Emir some items of his moms (stocks?) when he receives a call from Hakan who called to report the accident. What he doesn’t know is that Zenep is at Hakan’s side at this moment.

Nett, I wasn't expecting this until this afternoon, but what a sweet surprise to see it when I dropped in on the patio. Thank you!!

I do like your interpretation of the events. My favorite was "she doesn’t want anything to happen to Deniz or Kemel...being the constant sacrificial lamb she is. And being the alpha male he is...Kemel is ready to confront Emir and he will not let anything happen to Deniz." Perfect description of this stubborn couple. MAYBE if they would put their heads together they could come up with a sensible plan because leaving it up to just one of them would be dangerous for them and baby Deniz. I have to agree with Nihan though; Emi is not going to give up Nihan or Deniz without a deadly battle; someone will end up dead.

I'm glad we got the backstory on Zehir and Zehra. Will this be their turning point? Are the writers wrapping up the side stories in order to concentrate on the main plot? Only time will tell.

Rvgchick...I wasn't expecting to post this as early as I did. I was up pretty late last night and happened to check comcast on-demand before turning in and realized it was there so I watched.

Whew...what an intense epi regarding Nihan and Kemel's interactions. And that accident scene with Kemel losing it. He realizes his actions played a part in this accident just as much as Nihan's decision to chase him down...with a kid in the car. But...she will be OK and the saga will continue. I hope they figure out pretty quickly that the car was sabotaged but they will likely suspect Emir and not Asu (I take it Kemel did not see drive away..he was just staring into the distance). Anyway, she is such a cold and heartless person not to care if a child is killed....just to get a man. Desperation, obsession and heartlessness are for sure Kozcoglu family traits.

With Zehir and Zhera...I too wonder if they now have closure....or is this a new beginning for them. Knowing how she lost the baby....I don't know that he should blame her. Yeah she was careless running into the street but she didn't do it intentionally and she was running to save him. I was expecting that she did something more sinister for him to leave her the way he did. Now if he was leaving her because of his life style and it's impact on their lives...I get it. Turning his back on her because of an accident is a little weak of a story line. I'm sure there's more to the story that perhaps I missed. And the crime he was committing...did I miss what is was...was it revealed in that running scene?

So Zenep will get redemption...and with Hakan. She's so undeserving...especially this soon. But if this relationship takes off...what curse will Emir unleash on them just because he can.

Nett, it was definitely an intense episode filled with Nihan's and Kemal's exchanges regarding who was or wasn't right and what plan would be best. I'm sure you're right that once they find out about the cut brake lines, Emir will be the one they blame. I don't think Kemal realizes just how dangerous and vindictive Asu is..and that, in itself, is dangerous.


In regards to Zehir and Zehra, they didn't specify exactly what illegal activity Zehir was engaging in, but he had told Zehra to stay away no matter what. She disregarded his "order" because her father reported him and the cops were going to arrest him; she wanted to warn him. I too think that Zehir was too harsh in blaming Zehra; maybe they'll give us more explanation later.

#173 – Part I

Kemel is at Nihan’s side in the ambulance…blaming himself for the accident while pleading with her to stay with him. The situation is serious as the attendants ask Kemel to calm down and give them room…as they use the defibrillator on her. Kemel cries for them to help her…she’s his life. We see that while Nihan is out…she’s dreaming that she’s happy and sleeping and Kemel comes to wake her. She’s not ready to wake up…she just wants to sleep a little while longer. Kemel is impatient and wants to go out but not without her as she suggests in the dream. We see her dream end and she shows sign of life as the defibrillator appears to work.

A slightly emboldened Tarik has made his way to Emir’s office to confront him but learns he’s not there because Nihan was in an accident. He departs and call’s Kemel to update him but he doesn’t get an answer because Kemel is running behind Nihan and the doctors at the hospital. Kemel continues with a milder freak out that doesn’t require Ayan to slap him this time….but Ayan who has made it to the hospital as well urges him to calm down…things will be OK. In the meantime, Emir is racing to the hospital and receives a call from Galip to confirm the news and confirm he’s on his way as well.

Meanwhile, Leyla has come to return Deniz and explain to Vildan what happened. (they pan to her muddy shoes so I assume this will be of significance in the future) . Back at the hospital we are in full TN high drama as we see a still unconscious Nihan is in surgery and needs blood. In the waiting area, Ayan is urging Kemel to leave before Emir arrives and of course he refuses…it’s his fault..he can’t leave her side nor does he care about Emir’s reaction to his presence. Ayan explains that the only reason he and Leyla were coming to the cabin is because Nihan summoned them…she was scared. He tries to convince Kemel that this is not the time to confront Emir.

Emir does arrive while Asu is channel searching. She finds good news…for her anyway….the notice of Nihan’s accident. Satisfied…she smiles. Fehime is getting the news at the same time and drops a dish. While Vildan and Leyla are in route, Kemel learns of the need for blood…and both he and Ayan offer theirs. They don’t have the right type and to Ayan’s chagrin the hospital stores do not have the type om stock. They have to send out for it..but time is of the essence. Just then Emir arrives and makes his way to the OR. He sees Kemel and Ayan and they eye him. Emir demands to know why they are there. This is not the time but Emir insists and Kemel does not back down and the two square off. She’s my wife one yells while the other yells she’s my life. They tussle but Ayan is eventually able to separate them.


Emir still demands to know how Kemel is at the hospital when Ayan intervenes with his part of the story: Nihan called Leyla for help while she and Ayan were together….and he brought Kemel up to speed and with him. Of course Emir is skeptical and threatens them if he finds out they’re lying. The two tussle again and this time hospital security helps to intervene. After the tussle, Tufan is called upon for his unlimited number of skills…this time to find blood for Niha. He’s on it since none of them men are a match.

Kemel leaves the hospital and calls Zenep ….he’s coming to pick her up. He needs her to donate blood since he knows she has the same blood type as Nihan. She agrees to meet him. In the meantime Kemel…as usual throws his money and power around with the hospital staff. He knows the hospital could use money…save his wife and keep Kemel away from her. He brings his men in on this part.

#173 – Part 2

Tarik is appears to be making his way to the hospital as he thinks back to the conversation with his mom about Banu having money in the bank. Banu is at home with Fehime…..trying to contact Kemel…and get an update on things as they too heard what happened from the news. Kemel’s not answering his phone. A shaken Fehime goes to her room to cry and pray that Nihan and Deniz survive.

Back at the hospital Emir approaches Leyla who’s trying to comfort Vildan. He wants to hear from her what happened. She explains how Nihan summoned her and sent her a text with directions. To make her story sound believable..she pulls up the text with the GPS directions while Ayan looks on, satisfied with her performance. As usual…Emir offers a threat if there’s a hole in her story but she’s saved by Galip’s arrival.

Kemel has picked Zenep up and rushes back to the hospital. She’s curious and asks what happened. He only cries that it’s all his fault without providing the details. Tufan has reported to Emir that he’s located blood but it will take about half an hour…in a situation where every minute counts. Asu is in route to the hospital as well while Hakan reports to Emir that he’s at the accident scene and there doesn’t appear to be any foul play. Emir commands him to keep investigating. Kemel and Zenep make it to the hospital when security stops them. Kemel sends Zenep ahead as time is of the essence. With her gone, he fights off 3 security guys and makes his way back into the hospital.

Emir needed medical attention himself since earlier he slammed his fist through glass in anger over Nihan’s condition. As he leaves from getting attended to…he spies Zenep and inquires why she’s there….are you donating blood. She confirms yes…she has the same type as Nihan. There is an interchange between them and Emir again lets her know where she stands in his life….nowhere. He tells her she feels about him they way he feels about Nihan. When he looks at her….he’s not seeing her…he’s seeing Nihan. Zenep quips back that she too has a place in the bottom of his heart (I missed some of this dialogue as he was jabbing at her).

Returning to the waiting room, Emir is annoyed to see Kemel and demands to know how he got back into the building. He then demands to know where he was last night and specifically asks if he was with Nihan. Kemel doesn’t bite but as Emir insists…Asu slithers in the save the day. She lies that Kemel was with her last night …but Emir doesn’t look convinced while Kemel tries not to look surprised. Kemel having been forcibly put out of the hospital again is out front with Asu. He asks her why she lied for him. She replies she was just trying to help him and he promptly says he doesn’t’ need her help. She then herself tries to get him to admit he was Nihan and again he doesn’t bite..he shuts her down.

Leyla walks out and Asu slithers away. Leyla ask Kemel is he not leaving. He replies no…where would he go…his moon is inside. He confesses he’s scared. ..it’s his fault. He’s about to lose it again when she tells him to quiet down…stay calm. She tries to get him to see that Nihan will pull through and he’s got to get it together for her and Deniz. It finally dawns on him to ask about Deniz and he learns Leyla took her back to her home and of course he’s not happy with that. Leyla tries to reason with him again regarding Emir….imploring him to hold it together…and not to betray Nihan to Emir. Its’ not the time for Kemel to reveal to Emir that he knows he is the father of Deniz…and not Emir.

#173 – Part 3

While Emir is inside collecting Nihan’s thing (to his surprise only a ring…not a purse or anything else) ....team Kemel is gathered outside. Vildan comes out and wants to talk to Kemel. She tries to explain why she rejected him when she first found out about him and Nihan. Emir had power, money and history with the family and has always loved Nihan. The marriage would save her son as well as their company. She was ambitious however she’s paid dearly for it….having lost both her husband and her son. She doesn’t want to lose Nihan and Deniz as well. She begs Kemel not to confront Emir at this time….knowing Emir would never let them live in peace. Kemel thinks back to the same plea from Nihan and this time he promises he will wait.

The end

OK.. another intense episode. Will be interesting to see how team Kemel can stop Emir from finding out the truth about the accident. He's not going to stop snooping until he figures this out. I hope Ayan's plan covered why Nihan's purse and luggage were not in the car. Interesting that Zenep was the one to save the day with her sangre. Another point of redemption I suppose. Still don't feel she's suffered enough for all the pain she has caused. I know she saved a life with her donation.. but it doesn't make up for the fact she killed Ozan and destroyed her brother's chance at happiness. The brawl between Emir and Kemel was going to be a good one...too bad it was broken up. I guess there will have to be one last physical show down between these two before it's over.

How goes it? We have a rainy stormy day ahead. That is okay because it will “dampen” (Ha! Ha! ) my desire to be out and about. I am “thinking” about baking some bread and also “thinking” about baking some other goodies. As a matter of fact, I “think” about doing a lot these days but some how it is easier to watch tv and knit. I wish “Como tú no hay dos” were coming sooner rather than later. I need some good laughs. I hope you are all well and doing just fine.

Indeed, it was another intense episode, but it seems to me that they are starting to slow it down. If you think about it, not much really happened last night that moved things along; instead things are somewhat at a standstill...but that's just my opinion :-)

Ayhan should have thought to cover all the little details about the accident...like why did Nihan go out in just her pjs. And how will they be able to talk to Nihan so that they can get their stories to jive?

At least the cops will do a thorough investigation of the accident. Once it is known that the brake lines were cut, Kemal might think it was Emir, but Emir will figure out it was Asu...and she will be in deep doo-doo.

Zeynep coming to the rescue and saving Nihan's life was a complete surprise to me. What would have made it better was if it was Asu who had the A+ blood type. That would have really been interesting to see!

Jarifa, it was a nice cloudy morning in the RGV, but now the sun is out full force. We've been getting up into the high 90s this week, so no spring for us!

We are in "shelter in place" mode, but I keep telling friends and family that it hasn't phased me because I've been in that mode ever since I retired; I only go out when I have to. I was "thinking" of doing some baking myself, but, like you, I end up watching TV whenever I have some time to spare...though no knitting for me!

Jarifa, I hear ya! I wish “Como tú no hay dos” started now too. It's rainy here but sunny, almost 60 degrees. I'm cooking more too, trying out a new recipe for shrimp salad now. I woke up in the middle of the night and couldn't go back to sleep and, of all things, decided to try to remember and count all the tattoos on Ringo! It worked.

Thank you Nett! I too wished Ayhan would have let Kemal and Emir go at it. Then Kemal would have finally vented out his anger fully. Though Emir was the one who looked most upset I think, since Kemal was being consumed by guilt.

Once again Kemal has been placed in a position of being guilty of the situation by proxy. Hopefully he’ll realize someone cut the brakes on Nihan’s car, though Emir is likely to get the answers first. Also, how exactly does Ayhan plan to coverup Kemal’s involvement? The police has no inclination to hide information from Emir. Something is bound to give away that Nihan was chasing Kemal down the highway.

I think Kemal behaved like a jerk again. Nihan told him he’s acting like Emir-which should be a real insult- but he didn’t care. He lied saying he was going to bring Denise back into the house only to drive off with her. If I were Nihan I wouldn’t forgive him just for that alone.

My problem with Kemal is that he doesn’t understand that no means no. I don’t agree with Nihan’s revenge plot- for all its purposes she probably should have just let it all go and disappeared with Kemal right then and there, but I hate how he refuses to respect her decisions, and that he’s so blind to the fact that Nihan gives off all these confusing signs that tell him to let her go. It’s clear that she puts her brother first above everyone else, even Denise, because she’s willing to sit at home and play house with Emir until she gets her revenge on him. I don’t think she can do it alone, so basically she’s stuck there for the rest of her life. Kemal should move on and get custody of Denise.

So yea, I don’t know who’s side I am on, but I get quickly tired of Nihan’s dumb antics. She never thinks straight. She’s all about her revenge but she can’t do squat! Also, I probably missed this, but did Emir actually send Tariq to kill Ozan? Cause if Tariq really killed Ozan for his sister, Nihan is kind of focusing her revenge on the wrong person.

I wonder how Nihan would feel when she finds out Zeynep donated blood, especially after finding out she tried killing Ozan. The writers really like Zeynep for some apparent reason, but sorry I don’t see how she could ever be redeemed. I still get the feeling she’s going to betray her brothers again.

That was comic releaf for last night.

Her What had happened. And then he threatened. Could there be somebody do something to stop emir? He owns every body in the police department,hospital
News people. Kemal is the only one Not scared of this man. One of these women
Should have killed him a long time ago. Why is he still breathing?
Kemal is gonna have to take him out.

Kemal n nihan's side. Emir is evil. He

OT..rained all day today, so I am glad that I spent so much time working in the yard yesterday and reading on the patio.i Today I did a lot of inside chores, read, crocheted , and texted and emailed family and friends. Another day sheltering in my place.

Well, per my prediction, it appears all the WalMart shoppers' trailers have run out of storage space and their Visa cards are at the limits. There was plenty of everything in WalMart this morning when I went. There were a couple of wild eyed crazies wearing masks, but everyone else seemed almost normal, relieved that people are coming to their senses.

I am assuming only trailer camp people are dumb enough to believe that the same politicians who have shown us for decades that they could not give one twit about us are now totally up in arms over our safety from this contrived VIRUS.
