DAYTIME TNs…y Mas!: Week of June 22, 2020

Good Day, Caraymates!

Welcome to Daytime TNs! This page is being provided to give those who are watching daytime TNs on any channel a place to discuss any of the TNs aired prior to 6PM.  If you would like to contribute a recap or just some highlights for a daytime TN, I’m sure there are those who watch the same TNs that would appreciate it.

This page can also be used as a forum to keep in touch, discuss strolls down the Caray! Caray! memory lane, or anything else that is of interest to the patio.

Please remember that ANY daytime novela can be discussed and everyone is welcome to join in the conversation. Friendly reminder to PLEASE put the name of the telenovela you're referring to at the top of your post so readers can easily find the conversations they're looking for. (You can shorten the title to one word, i.e., “Vecina”; “Amores.”)

"Daytime TNs" will be posted on Mondays only. There will be a different page posted on Thursdays with a variety of topics for week-end discussion.

LQNPA

Wow, it sure is quiet in here...

Anyway, LQNPA keeps plodding along with Ana Paula being beautiful while crying rivers. I fell a bit behind for a while and had to watch three hours a day for a while, but today I got caught up to date. I'm still enjoying it though I do wish they hadn't knocked off poor Maripaz, and I wish Efraín had not turned out to be such a louse.

There's not much more for me to say, the show was recapped and very well commented on here at Caray back in the TN's original run.

LQNPA

Andy, I'm not watching this, but I do enjoy hearing from you. It's nice to know that someone remains beautiful while crying rivers; not may actresses can pull that off. I hate it when they knock of a likeable character; why can't they just make them sick for a while?

I'm watching "La Vecina" and they've changed it to an earlier time..and for two hours! It's hard keeping up with it, but I'm managing.

Andy--I'm re-watching LQNPA and this time around, find many side stories tedious, especially with 2-hour episodes. FF>> is my friend.

Be assured that Maripaz lived--elsewhere. We believe that she was offed because she took a rather important role as Melissa in Un Refugio. I guess the powers that be preferred to kill her off than to have her come back to the LQNPA set, or maybe it was her decision. I don't follow the off-screen news of stars and celebrities, so I don't REALLY know the story.

ABC is stunningly beautiful in this tn. There are times when she reminds me of the Mona Lisa. Jorge did such a fantastic job of being a "douchebag" and then does that thing with his puppy dog eyes that all of us females tremble while watching.

I'm re-reading the recaps and comments as I go along. A really worthwhile trip down memory lane.

As for Sortilegio. It ended, but I haven't caught up with the last episode, but it seems to me it went on for a lot longer. Maybe they intentionally cut it short to start La Vecina.

I'm enjoying my time off from recapping and commenting, although I have to admit, I've been watching Te Doy La Vida and surprised by how much I'm liking it.

"COMO DICE EL DICHO":

Andy: I'm assuming you've been watching this Daytime TV Show in the afternoons ?

Rgv Chickie, thanks for the information. I know what you mean about two hours of a particular TN, that's what it is for LQNPA and it is quite hard to keep up. For a change, we really do have a number of decent TNs to choose from. I am now recording LQNPA and watching it later, and recording for watching later when this cornucopia of good TNs is finished: MCET, CTNH2, and LaVecina at 2 PM.

Whoops! No longer on at 2 PM you say? Oy, caray! I guess I should actually once in a while take a look at what I have recorded :-)

Tomorrow (OK, later today) I'll look at the recordings to see when they changed times and decide whether I should continue recording now. I certainly don't need any recordings of Nosotros los guapos. :-)

Anita, thank you for the info on Maripaz. I did read the recaps and comments for LQNPA when I first started watching it, but not so much lately. I've just been too busy what with my five naps a day routine lately.
Definitely agreed that ABC is beautiful. "ABC", that's cute and more specific than "Cupcake".

My sister in Pennsylvania and I usually talk at least once a week and she knows all about my current addiction to telenovelas. She recorded an episode of LQNPA to see what I was nattering on about and she and her husband watched a little of it even though neither understands any Spanish. They both agreed ABC was beautiful, and my sister thought Rogelio was very handsome. In fact they both thought that the show was just loaded with good-looking people.

But now that she knows what the story line of LQNPA is, she has told me I should no longer tease her about watching Hallmark movies, especially as she only has to sit through about two hours to get her HEA.

Steve, I have watched "Como Dice El Dicho", but not lately.

Andy

Andy--Just wanted you to know I read your comment above. Glad you had someone to "share" your enthusiasm about LQNPA and were rewarded by positive feedback. Yes, we do suffer for 80 or so hours to get our HEA, but well worth the journey. Hallmark is for folks who want "instant gratification" rather than the "longer, complex, multi-layered, analytically-worthy, foreign language" offering we get from tns + we get a whole community busy commenting on the actions. (Quote was tongue in cheek.)
