Good Day, Caraymates!
Welcome to Daytime TNs! This page is being provided to give those who are watching daytime TNs on any channel a place to discuss any of the TNs aired prior to 6PM. If you would like to contribute a recap or just some highlights for a daytime TN, I’m sure there are those who watch the same TNs that would appreciate it.
This page can also be used as a forum to keep in touch, discuss strolls down the Caray! Caray! memory lane, or anything else that is of interest to the patio.
Please remember that ANY daytime novela can be discussed and everyone is welcome to join in the conversation. Friendly reminder to PLEASE put the name of the telenovela you're referring to at the top of your post so readers can easily find the conversations they're looking for. (You can shorten the title to one word, i.e., “Vecina”; “Amores.”)
"Daytime TNs" will be posted on Mondays only. There will be a different page posted on Thursdays with a variety of topics for week-end discussion

Steve, no, I don’t watch “Dichos”. The only thing I’m watching in the afternoon is “La Vecina” on Unimas.

This show keeps getting weirder all the time. The only things that keep me watching are Cupcake, Vanesa, Mercedes, Consuelo and, sometimes, Dany. And the Spanish, of course.

Hi,Andy! No surprise that things are weirder; isn’t that the norm with most TNs? :-) but I’m glad you are having some nice eye candy to keep you entertained. I wish you and others were watching “La Vecina.” So far it’s been pretty good and you would have really enjoyed seeing Esmeralda Pimentel in her little outfit this week (wink, wink). There is also some eye candy for me too!

A way to spot a seasoned TN watcher is by reference to a novela by an acronym.
I fast forward through a lot of it. Especially scenes with Bruno, Gustavo, Cintia. I always watch scenes with Ana Paula, Rogelio and Vanesa. Vanesa, especially, has been entertaining lately. Also tía Rosaura - always manipulating the situation to her benefit, and making sense a lot of times. Regarding Dani, the actress, Ingrid Martz, seems wasted here. Her best roles are of the comical antagonist, especially in "Que pobres tan ricos" - she was kind of like Vanesa here.
La vecina
I have seen "La vecina" before and it is one of my favorites. Trying to watch now. But, this being 2 hours per day, I fell behind. Luckily on-demand has all the aired episodes, and uncut. So there is a chance to catch up. Esmeralda Pimentel is of course an attraction, but this novela has a good main story and entertaining side stories. So many funny couples: Sara - Antonio, Sebastian - Natalia, Comandante Chavez - Padre Vicente, Simon - Edwina, Cheo - Sidekick.
