Thanks very much, deb, both for the info about scheduling on Thursday and for calling my attention to the faulty italics. The latter were easy to fix, and I've now done so.

As for what's going to happen on Thursday, my guess is that what is shown "live" in Eastern and Central time zones will probably be shown recorded for those of us on Pacific Time. As for the Mountain Time folks, I dunno. But, as you say, "live" can also involve a certain degree of unpredictability.
 

Cennet #94 part 1

Arzu punks out. She says Kaya did not kidnap her; it’s all a misunderstanding. We are business partners and met to discuss business. What? Mahir can’t believe this. He pleads with Arzu, he kidnapped you, you almost died! Arzu says this is my statement and that’s that!

She leaves the room, Mahir follows her out. Mahir thinks Arzu lost her mind. Arzu asks him to drop it. She’s doing this for her daughters. They would be in danger. Mahir says, don’t be afraid, I’m here with you. Arzu mentions Riza, he was the only on who could protect me and now he’s dead.

Kaya walks out and Mahir runs to him in attack mode, I’ll kill you! You will pay! The police hold him back. Kaya whispers to Arzu, calm him down or I will, and he walks out.

Back to the almost wedding where Melisa is still eavesdropping. Cennet cries, forgive me. Selim wants to know, why did you put on the dress? Why did you sit at the table? Did you have to do it this way? Cennet says, this isn’t about you. Selim: Do you know what I sacrificed so we could be together? I’ve always been there for you. You said you loved me. You said you wanted to get married. This is too much for poor Selim.

Cennet says, but we love the same man. Who, asks Selim? A lunatic who now calls you her sister? He continues, I will no longer be in your life because you don’t deserve my love. He takes off his ring, drops on the it on the ground and walks away. Here comes the lunatic—I mean, Melisa. She hugs Cennet and tells her to go back inside and say yes. Cennet can’t do it. She can’t apologize to Selim. Melisa says, you will regret this. Cennet asks Melisa to take her home and they leave.

Nilgun is apologizing to some of the guests. Selim announces his apologies to the entire group, you shouldn’t have witnessed this tragedy. Selim goes up his room and slams the door. He throws his tie, his jacket. Throws things around the room. Nilgun goes to her son and tries to calm him down.

Mukaddes returns home to find Cennet in her bed, crying in Melisa’s arms. Mukaddes loses it on Melisa. It’s your fault you evil girl! She grabs Melisa and pulls her to the door. Get out! Melisa claims this is not her fault. Mukaddes says to Melisa, you asked me not to tell Cennet you were her sister. You wanted her to forgive you and I believed. Was this your plan all along? Cennet deserves to be loved. Why can’t you let her be happy? Melisa leaves. Mukaddes tells Cennet, don't believe their lies. Understand they are not your family.

Mahir brings Arzu home. She doesn’t want to go in. He says you can’t go back to the hotel; you will be safe here. They go in. There’s Sema right on cue. What are you doing here? Sema wants her to leave. This is not Arzu’s home anymore. Mahir bucks his mother for once and takes Arzu upstairs with Sema following. Ozlem appears at the top of the stairs. Mahir tells her to go back to her room. Sema goes after Arzu on the stairs. Ozlem gets caught up in the struggle and tumbles down. Ozlem is motionless at the bottom of the stairs.

Kaya arrives home. Halil has taken the opportunity to throw a family party in the back yard with music, dancing and food on the grill. He turns to see Kaya. Uh oh. Turn off the music. It seems I ruined your fun, should I leave, asks Kaya? Halil says, sorry, we thought you left for good. Kaya will allow them to finish their food before they leave.

Mahir and Sema put Ozlem in the car to go to the hospital. Melisa shows up. Mom are you back? Just for tonight. Let’s go in and we will talk.

cennet #94 part 2

Halil comes in with his son, Sadik. He will return after he brings him home. Kaya calls Sadik back. Did you finish school? Halil answers for him. He dropped out of school and has no job. Kaya offers him a job. Sadik wants to accept but Halil is against it. Kaya insists, he needs a young man, Halil is getting old. Seems this is an offer that can’t be refused.

Melisa and Arzu get word that Ozlem and the baby will be ok. Melisa asks her mom what happened to her but as usual, Arzu doesn’t want to talk about it. Instead, Arzu asks about Cennet’s wedding. Melisa tells her Cennet walked out, she rejected Selim.

Melisa? Were you involved in any way? Mama, Cennet decided for herself. She said we were in love with the same man. Arzu does not believe in Melisa’s innocence. Melisa, you are so cruel. Why did you tell her these things? You stole her happiness. Melisa claims, Cennet would have done the same. Arzu’s not buying it and she’s angry. Melisa stands up to her mom, you told me to be strong to get what I wanted. Arzu counters, you’re not strong, you’re evil! Think about it! Arzu storms off.

Kaya is staring at a pic of the young Cavidan. Halil brings in Kaya's stuff. He has Mahir’s gun in a plastic bag. He didn’t touch it just in case there were fingerprints. This is great, says Kaya, Mahir is finished.

Ozlem and the others are back from the hospital. There are two men in front of the house. Mahir hired security. Ozlem carries on about how they want to harm her baby. She starts in on Arzu. Arzu won’t play that pathetic game anymore. She won’t stand between Ozlem and Mahir and she walks away.

Kaya is talking guns with Sadik. Halil is upset. Kaya says it’s good that Sadik wants to follow in his father’s footsteps. Sadik is an eager young man. Kaya goes to his office unlocks his drawer and puts Mahir’s gun away. Halil comes to talk about Sadik. Halil wanted him to go abroad and Kaya agreed to help. Kaya says, I am helping him. He can start by working for me. Kaya changes the subject and says, this gun will take care of Mahir and this memory stick, well, sorry, Cavidan. On his way out, Kaya tells Halil that he will be the father figure for Sadik instead of Halil.

Arzu shows up at Cennet’s and insists to speak with her. She takes Cennet by the arm and drags her outside. They must talk. Mukaddes and Suna come out and Arzu tells them to get back inside. Cennet doesn’t want to talk. Arzu tells Cennet, you yell at me, you won’t listen. You want to destroy yourself. Hear me out. I’m here for you.

Cennet #94 part 3

Cennet brings up the accident. I know you prefer Melisa. Arzu explains it was easier to save Melisa first. Do you really think I would have left you to die? That young man showed up to help. Cennet is unconvinced. Arzu continues, you are a part of me, and I can’t leave you anymore. Like it or not, I’ll be by your side. Cennet repeats, you saved Melisa. Arzu tries again. Cennet, I’m trying to make amends, you should support me (Huh?) Cennet is having a hard time moving on. Arzu understands this feeling well.

Arzu reveals a little of her past. She ran barefoot on the street for days but she couldn’t escape the thought of Cennet. She lived on the streets. Hungry, thirsty, no money. She ended up in the hospital and she couldn’t remember her name. A woman called out, Arzu! So that’s how she got her new name.

Arzu continues her story from the beginning. She was an orphan; the state named her Cavidan. Cennet had no idea. Arzu says this is the first time she talked about this. At 18 she went out to work. A friend got her the cleaning job at Kaya’s house. She was just a child when that man raped her. She realizes nothing can excuse her for abandoning Cennet. Cennet tells Arzu not to apologize for what she went through; it’s not her fault.

Sadik wants to have shooting practice with Halil. Halil takes the gun, slaps Sadik and orders him to go home. Don’t come back here again.

Arzu doesn’t know what their relationship will be like, but she hopes that Cennet will eventually accept her. Like it or not, she will always be here for her. Arzu heard about the wedding; she canceled it for Melisa, but it was a big mistake. If Melisa accepted you as her sister, she wouldn’t have done this. She would not have kept you from your happiness. Arzu will talk to Selim. Cennet thinks it’s no use. Arzu will be there for her. She leaves.

Halil calls Arzu. He wants to talk to her, but they can’t let Kaya know. He tells her where to meet him.

Nejat shows up and sees Cennet outside. He turns to walk away. Cennet sees him and calls him back. He gives her the jewelry. She didn’t recognize him at first. She thanks him for everything. Mukaddes thinks he’s there to fix the faucet. When she finds out he saved Cennet, she is grateful. Nejat goes inside to take a look at the faucet.

Selim is leaving the house. Pinar says Kaya wants to know about the wedding. He tells Pinar to tell the truth.

Nejat fixes the faucet. Mukaddes insists on giving him lemonade. He sits outside with Cennet. He mentions he saw her in a wedding gown. She bursts into tears. He moves closer, puts his hand on her shoulder to try to comfort her. She just keeps crying. Selim has arrived at Cennet’s. Cennet runs from Nejat. She stumbles and Nejat goes to help her up. Just then Selim comes into the yard to and sees them together.

And we are out.

dondi356, you've done it again! Another amazing recap! You covered everything, including some things I missed when I watched, such as Arzu's account of her early life, especially the state's naming her Cavidan. Thanks very very much.

I have nothing to add to this marvellous recap, just a few questions and comments. In the scene on the staircase when Ozlem fell, I think I saw Arzu holding on to Sema, thereby (intentionally or not) preventing her from falling. Was this the case? Also, you describe Halil's slapping Sadik, and judging from how little damage the slap did, I'm sure you're right, but it really looked to me as if Halil hit Sadik hard with the pistol. I expected Sadik to fall down, or show some nasty wound, but there was nothing of that sort.

Yes, it definitely looked as if Kaya's offer to Sadik was an offer he couldn't refuse. I wonder whether Kaya will tolerate Halil's opposing that offer.

And how is it possible that Ozlem didn't at least lose the baby when she fell down the stairs? Doesn't she know the telenovela rules? What is this world coming to? Next thing we know, a young woman will throw up without being pregnant!

The way I remember it, Sema was on the stairs pulling on Arzu to get her out of the house. They struggled with each other a bit. When Ozlem walked past them on stairs to go back to her room, it looked like she got bumped accidentally by Sema when Arzu let go. At first, I expected Sema was going to be the one to fall.

I thought Halil just gave Sadik a good, hard slap. I could be wrong. And it looks like Halil maybe turning against Kaya.

Lol, Juanita. Maybe the TN rules are different in Turkey. I can't figure out the purpose of Ozlem falling. Just to get everyone out of the house so Melisa and Arzu could be alone? There must be big plans for that baby.

Cennet - ep. 95 - p. 1 de 3

Selim has come to see Cennet but finds her kneeling on the ground with Nejat next to her. Selim asks what's going on, but then grabs Nejat and hits him. Cennet tries to tell him that he has misunderstood, nothing was happening, but a furious Selim tells her "It's over between us," and leaves. Nejat apologizes to Cennet. She assures him that there's no need to apologize, it's not his fault.

Just as Selim drives off in his blue car, Melisa drives up in a red car. "Who's he?" she asks, looking at Nejat. Cennet tells her that Selim was here, saw Nejat, and was very angry. Melisa asks her to tell her everything that happened, from the beginning. [Please don't, Cennet, or I'll never get this recap finished.] Nejat leaves.

As arranged, Halil meets with Arzu near the water. Her security guy insists on frisking Halil before he can talk with Arzu. Arzu explains to Halil, "You taught me not to trust you." Halil then tells her why he wanted to meet with her: "I know you want to get Kaya. I know where he keeps the photos and the gun Mahir dropped at the boat." She asks him why he wants to help her. He says it's not important. She then asks what he wants in exchange for the information. "Money. A small sum for you: 500,000" (probably not dollars, but I have no idea what the Turkish currency is, nor what the exchange rate would be. I assume 500,000 is a substantial sum in most currencies, though perhaps considerably less than $500,000). Arzu says if he had told her that at the start, she wouldn't have bothered to meet with him. He says he needs the money for his family. He tells her, "I'm the only one who can help you. Your life is in my hands, and mine is in yours."

Cennet tells Melisa that deciding not to go through with the wedding was the most difficult decision of her life. Does she have any regrets, Melisa asks. No. Cennet then asks, "Would you have made the same decision if you had been me?" "Of course," Melisa replies. "How can you ask me that? I would have done the same, but I see you still doubt me." Cennet tells her, "Only one person had to make that decision: me. You and Selim will never be together, so you'll never have to make it."

Halil and Arzu are still negotiating. He gives her a necklace, telling her it's "Kaya's greatest suffering, and it's what has kept me alive." He continues, "Kaya killed the wife of a very powerful man, someone who could end his life and save you and Mahir. You'll have Kaya in your hands. It's a great opportunity. You have to decide."

Back at her home, Arzu googles "Cihan Kocaoglu." She remembers Halil telling her that Kaya wanted him dead. But he failed to kill Cihan and killed his wife instead. Cihan couldn't prove that Kaya did it." Arzu asks Halil where he got the necklace. He tells her that Kaya set Cihan's house on fire. Before he left the scene, he saw a woman. He said he tried to save her, but he couldn't. That night, he asked Halil to get rid of the necklace, but Halil didn't do so.

Kaya calls Cennet. She doesn't want to hear from him. She tells him to stay away from her.

Arzu, accompanied by a security guard, comes to see Kaya. She tells the security guard that she's going inside Kaya's house, and that if he hears her call out, he should come in and shoot Kaya. Leaving the security guard outside, Arzu enters the house. Kaya asks her whether she thinks that a mere security guard can stop him. She tells him it's going to be a long day, they're going to talk about everything. [Oh no, not another threat to my finishing this recap!]

Selim comes to see Melisa. He berates her for having discouraged Cennet from marrying him. "All she wanted was for her dream to come true. You ruined everything," he tells her. He pleads with her to stay away. Cennet is the only one he loves.

Arzu asks Kaya whether he loves her. He says yes, very much. She tells him she's afraid of him. He claims that when she repels him, he becomes a worse version of himself. He then goes on to tell her that he dreams of the two of them together, having children, grandchildren. He describes at some length various scenarios involving them as a loving family, and her looking at him with loving eyes. And then he realizes it's all in his head, it's just a dream. She tells him to set another place at the table, she'll have dinner with him. "Should I believe you?" he asks as he goes to get another place setting.

Nejat and a male friend are chatting in a garage when Nejat spots Cennet across the street carrying bags of groceries. He calls to her. She ignores him. He tells his friend that she apparently isn't interested in him, and that her novio hit him for no reason. The friend says they should teach him a lesson. Nejat says they should wait until he comes again to the neighborhood.

Arzu and Kaya have been eating dinner. Arzu asks where the bathroom is. Kaya tells her it's upstairs. She leaves and heads up the stairs. Kaya sees a piece of paper near her plate. He opens it and sees that it's a formal request for divorce. "That's why she's here," Kaya thinks to himself. "She came to see me."
While Kaya is lost in one of his fantasies, Arzu has found a key to Kaya's office that Halil had hidden for her inside a box in the bathroom. She takes the key and immediately goes to Kaya's office, opens the locked door, and goes to the desk to try to find the items Halil mentioned. Just as she finds them, Kaya calls up to her, "Coffee's ready." His voice startles her, and she drops something on the floor. Kaya hears it and immediately goes to investigate. Arzu quickly goes back to the bathroom and closes the door. Kaya comes to the door and asks whether she's OK, Yes, I'll be right down, she replies.

As soon as Kaya goes downstairs, Arzu returns to his office. She sprays something like gasoline all over the desk, sets it on fire, and calmly returns downstairs. She gathers her coat and prepares to leave. "This was our first and last dinner," she tells Kaya. "You thought I'd come to you. You repaid your debt to me today." Kaya smells something burning. She just smiles. He races upstairs, opens his office door, and sees the fire. He screams "Cavidan!" She says, pretty much to herself, "This is only the beginning," and she leaves.

A man I don't recognize (but is clearly Cihan) is told that a message has arrived for him. He opens the envelope and finds a paper on which is written "I know who killed your wife," along with directions about meeting the next day at a specific time and place that I didn't catch. Along with the note is the necklace that Halil had given Arzu.

Sema looks wistfully at a family photo. Orhan comes into the room and tells her he's leaving. He has to go for work. And also because of Cennet. As soon as he mentions Cennet, Sema agrees that he should leave.

Arzu and Cihan meet as planned. She introduces herself. He stares at her.

Kaya is staring at the rubble after the fire in his office. He looks at the gun, now covered with ash and debris. Halil comes in and asks what happened. Kaya tells him Arzu knew it was here. Selim must have told her. "She took my life with her." Mahir comes in and beats Kaya. "Leave my family alone," Mahir warns.
 

Cennet - ep. 95 - p. 3 de 3

Cennet tells Mukaddes that Arzu was different the last time she came. "She was more honest. She said my decision about Selim was a big mistake." Orhan comes to see Cennet and asks whether they can talk privately. He tells her he's going to Dubai and has come to say goodbye. Cennet says "Have a good trip." Orhan then asks, "Would you like to come with me?" He quickly realizes that her silence speaks volumes. He urges her to remember that she can always trust him, and when she needs it, he'll be an unconditional friend.

Melisa comes to see Selim. She tries to play the innocent. He asks her to leave. Melisa then tells him "If Cennet really loved you, would she let me influence her? She wouldn't listen to anyone else. I wouldn't listen to my sister about the person I love. That's true love. Think of what you're like: for Cennet, you defied your mother, your father, everyone, and if Cennet couldn't do that, you should question her love for you. If you can't do that, that's not my problem. But don't be angry with me." Viewerville hisses as she leaves. Selim looks pensive.

Arzu gets a call from Halil and tells him "They're going to pay." Halil is pleased.

Cihan gets a report from an investigator about Arzu, including her changing her statement to the police and Kaya's being released. The investigator also said that she and Kaya and recently become business partners. Cihan asks whether she's the woman Kaya is in love with. The investigator replies that he doesn't know, but he's trying to find out. "If she is," says Cihan, "then this is our opportunity." The investigator hands him a folder containing an article and photo of Arzu. And the episode ends

LOL: “Please don't, Cennet, or I'll never get this recap finished.” Juanita, your recap was great from start to finish. You did not miss a thing. Many thanks to you!

I think we are going to get a lot of head spinning action crammed into these remaining episodes. The end can’t come soon enough for me.

Halil must have really meant the equivalent of 500,000 USD because 500,000 Turkish Lira (YTL) is about 68,000 in USD. I saw Arzu blink when he asked. 68K wouldn’t be that much for her. Halil lucked out when Kaya suspected Selim as the snitch.

Melisa is despicable! I think I dislike her more than Kaya. She drove past Nejat’s garage. Is she planning on using him for something? I hope not because he seemed like a decent guy.

Now we get Cihan. Ok, so maybe Kaya will finally meet his match. But it seems like Cihan is thinking an eye for an eye. He asked if this is the woman Kaya loves, right? Look out Arzu and maybe Cennet, too.

Muchas gracias, dondi356, for your appreciative and insightful comments. I think you and I feel similarly about Melisa. For quite a while, I kept thinking that she was changing, that she really felt a sisterly bond with Cennet. Last night's episode made it clear that I'd been wrong. She makes Cennet feel guilty for asking whether she would make the same decision Cennet did, and then she tries to convince Selim that Cennet's decision means she doesn't really love him, and that she, Melisa, would never have made such a decision. And yes, I noticed that she drove past Nejat's garage and made some kind of comment, but I didn't catch what she said. It does seem as if she's got still more evil in mind.

And I fear you're right about Cihan's thinking an eye for an eye. That certainly was the impression I had when he asked whether Arzu was the woman Kaya loved. Though, as you point out, he could also wind up trying to hurt Cennet.

I always love your recaps, and I'm definitely looking forward to this one.

Thanks Nina, for your very interesting comment. I think you, dondi356, and I are all in agreement about Melisa. And you make a good point about Mukaddes. She has been through a lot and looks very vulnerable, but as you point out, she's a tower of strength. Thank goodness--Cennet really has no one else she feels able to turn to for advice and support.
 

Cennet #96 part 1

I apologize in advance for errors or gaps. No subtitles in English or Spanish on my TV last night and Telemundo has not posted the episode so I can review.

Cihan’s guy says, tonight is the charity event. You have an invite.

Sema and Melisa are dressed up and leaving the house. Sema is complaining about Mahir’s “novias”. Melisa asks her not to judge her mom. Maybe Sema is softening on Arzu? Mahir joins them and Arzu will meet them at the event.

Pinar asks Selim, how are you? The answer is, not well. Pinar says Halil called her to meet. Halil will be disappearing soon. He said things are bad for Kaya; he’s running out time. Pinar will meet with Halil and find out what’s going on. Be very careful, says Selim.

Welcome to our great event in support of our orphans. Let’s welcome the Foundation’s founder Arzu Soyer. We see Kaya and Halil in attendance. Arzu gives her welcome speech. This is a special night for her, as a mother and as a businesswoman. The more kids we help the better the world will be. Applause for Arzu. Sema fidgets and smirks through the whole thing.

Cennet comes to visit Selim, who is sitting in the yard. Selim, can we talk? Nilgun sees Cennet. She runs out of the house, grabs Cennet and asks, what the hell are you doing here? Leave. Get out. Selim stops his mom he will handle of this. She warns Cennet not to mess with Selim, the Nilgun you met before will seem like an angel. I hope you do what’s correct, Selim. And she walks away.

Arzu gets an envelope and has an announcement that she hopes will inspire more donations. Sema is bored and wants to leave. Melisa agrees and she walks Sema out. On the way out, Sema bumps into Halil and he spills a drink on her. Sema gasps, she recognizes him as “that man”. Halil makes a quick exit.

Cennet doesn’t know why she came (me neither). Says she’s sorry (for the millionth time, yawn). So, you came to apologize? No. Cennet says this is killing her. He’s putting aside his pride, pain and anger. Selim will ask her something, do you still love me? Of course I do, Cennet says, more than anyone else. Then let’s get married, says Selim. Come back to me, forget about Melisa. Cennet can’t do it. One last time, will you forget about Melisa and marry me? Silence from Cennet and Selim turns to leave. She calls to him, she wants him to understand. He doesn’t believe in her love or her pain. Cennet tries to interject but Selim shuts her down. He lets her have it. You use Melisa as an excuse. True love doesn’t care about anyone else, not sister, family or friends. He leaves her there.

Arzu announces that tonight’s honoree has donated 2 million! Let’s give him a warm welcome. Our guest of honor! We see Kaya’s face as Azru announces Cihan Kocaoglu. Kaya turns his attention to the stage and stares.

Cihan speaks; he’s not used to public speaking so he’s going to read from an article on Arzu starting foundation. She was an orphan. She wanted to help. If she could help even just one child, she would be the happiest woman on the planet. And Cihan couldn’t agree more. Cihan is looking right at Kaya. Cihan announces that he plans on building a boarding school. I think Kaya short circuited again. Mahir asks Melisa if she knew about this project. I don’t think she did.

Sema returns to the table, all in a bother She wants to know where “that man” went. Melisa doesn’t know. Mahir says it’s not important, let’s go home. Sema insists she must find this man, damn it!

Cennet #96 part 2

Arzu thanks Cihan and walks outside. Kaya follows Arzu out and pulls her aside. What did you do? How did you meet Cihan? What the hell are you doing with him? Do you know who he is? Arzu plays dumb, he’s just a donor. Mahir sees this and steps in. He pulls Kaya away and threatens him. Cihan walks in on this. Arzu pulls Mahir away, everyone’s looking. Kaya warns Mahir that they (Arzu and Mahir) are going to sink into trouble and that he (Kaya) is nothing in comparison. Arzu has a slight reaction to this. Kaya walks away.

At home, Sema is riled up about Halil. Mahir and Melisa want to know who this man is and why Sema must find him. We get a flashback to Cengiz, Halil and Arzu meeting. This was about the Riza coverup photos. Cengiz and Arzu were paying to get possession of the photos. This was the start of Kaya’s game. Sema tailed them and unexpectedly showed up. She demanded to know why they were paying 2 million for photos. That’s when the story changed and Halil told Sema the photos were of Mahir and Ozlem. Back to present, Sema insists on getting all the photos from the event so she can find Halil.

Arzu is happy, she thinks she’s got Kaya where she wants him. She looks in the mirror and says, what will you do now Kaya?

Kaya arrives home. There are men posted all over his house. What is this? It’s Cihan Kocaoglu, of course. Cihan says, I told you we would meet again. It’s destiny, Kaya. Kaya asks, what do you want? Cihan says, what you took from me. Kaya: I didn’t kill your wife. Cihan: You killed her and I have proof. I am here to look you in the eye and tell you what I will do to you. I will take away everyone you love. It’s already done you just haven’t realized it yet. Kaya warns, don’t mess with me. Cihan says it will be a great pleasure to see you suffer. You will get on your knees and beg. You will live and learn. Kaya says, I. Didn’t. Kill. Your. Wife.

Cihan says, when this reaches zero, you will lose someone you love. He gives Kaya a timer and turns to go. Kaya repeats after him, I didn’t kill your wife! Cihan and his posse leave.

Next morning Halil shows up and explains he had to leave after Sema ID’d him. Looks like the timer has 39 hours on it. Kaya leaves without explaining to Halil.

Cennet is going on a job interview. They are almost out of money. Stop at the market on the way home for the Ramadan dinner tonight.

At SR, Mahir, Selim and Melisa are in the conference room. Selim asks Melisa how are you, and she’s a bit surprised he’s talking to her. They have been called there by Arzu. Only Kaya is still missing. Do we really have to have him here? Kaya finally shows up. Arzu wants everyone to hear this. Let’s clarify things since Orhan isn’t here. Mahir, Selim and I will make all decisions, and only we are authorized to sign anything. Kaya won’t have to come to meetings. Someone will inform him. They will keep it simple for him.

Kaya needs to talk to “Cavidan” alone. She blows up, you will not call me Cavidan and I won’t talk to you alone! Kaya takes this opportunity to pick on Selim. Cennet abandoned you because she found out who you really are. The others stop Selim from any physical reaction. Kaya taunts some more but Selim smartly walks out. Arzu and the rest follow him out. Kaya is feeling mighty anxious.

Cennet #96 part 3

An envelope arrives for Sema. Olzem snags it from the help. She must think it’s the DNA results. It’s the photos of the event that Sema wanted. Ozlem calls Senol. Tells him the DNA will be ready soon. He wants to take care of it but Ozlem warns him to stay calm and stay away.

Sema is talking to orhan and crying; she misses him. Take care, Orhan. Ozlem gives Sema the envelope. She wants to know what’s up with the pics. Sema shoos her away. She finds Halil in a picture with Kaya.

At SR group, Arzu and Mahir meet with Cihan. They talk about the project. Can we start immediately? Melisa walks in and is introduced as Arzu's daughter and an architect on the project. Arzu says there’s another architect that will work with us. Melisa gets a sick look on her face.

Cennet is looking for Durak construction. She finds Durak and they go into the office to start the interview.

Kaya sees Cihan leave and they stare at each other. Kaya replays Cihan’s words. He looks at the timer, 35 hours. What’s next Cihan?

Durak tells Cennet she will answer the phone and some other things . Cennet can do both architecture and construction. I didn’t catch all the details, but this job doesn’t sound like a good match for Cennet. But since her family needs the money, Cennet will take the job.

Arzu tells Melisa, yes, Cennet will be back. You can learn from her. You remember she saved the Dubai project. This will be good for you. (I don’t understand why Arzu thinks this is a good idea) And remember, you’re the reason she left Selim. Melisa's birthday is tomorrow and Arzu says Cennet will be invited.

Outside SR, Kaya warns Arzu that Cihan will hurt you and Cennet. Arzu says, so you care now? She runs down a list of Kaya’s evil doings. He doesn’t care--You are to stay away from that man! Arzu wants to know who Cihan is to Kaya and why he is afraid. Arzu plays her game, I don’t know what happened between you two in the past, but we are working with him now.

Kaya tells her about the meeting, the timer and one of you will die when time is up. Someone will disappear. Nah, Arzu says, Cihan is just toying with you. Cavidan, this is just the beginning! She gets in her car and drives off.

Kaya makes a call. Halil, Cennet is in danger. I’m trusting her with you. Halil is with Pinar. She asks. He wants me to look after Cennet for a while. Pinar says what about our meeting? Don’t worry much longer, Kaya is going to die. There’s no escape for him. Let’s say his past has caught up with him.

Sema shows the event pics to Mahir. Mahir recognizes Halil as Kaya’s man. Sema explains that she walked in on Halil taking payment from Cengiz and Arzu in return for blackmail photos. Is this about the Ozlem affair photos? Sema’s putting it all together. No, Sema thinks it really was about the Riza coverup by Cengiz. And if so, what was Arzu doing at that meeting?

Nice to see you, Nina! Great comments. You’re on point with Melisa. I was glad to see Mahir finally taking some control, but he always seems to be clueless to what’s really going on.

Mukaddes is a good character, well played by the actress. I’ve seen her before in this type of role. IIRC at the beginning of the show, Mukaddes had heart problems and was near death. She decided on a risky operation that was a success. Now she seems to be doing ok health wise.

Selim will not give up. He’s just really ticked at Cennet and doesn’t want to listen to the Melisa BS anymore. No one can blame him for that. He’d take Cennet back and marry her in a heartbeat if she dropped Me, me, me-lisa.

Sema is an irritating snob. She wants to protect her family’s reputation at all costs. But she has been the only person throughout who continually digs for the truth.

Ha, Arzu thinks she’s done good by finding Cihan. She has no idea what she has unleashed but she will find out soon. I remember when Mukaddes went searching for Cennet’s bio dad. She gave Halil (who alerted Kaya) the clue to discovering Cennet and finding Arzu. Arzu was besides herself when she found out what Mukaddes had innocently done. Like Kaya warned Arzu now, Arzu warned Mukaddes back then: you don’t know what you’ve done. You don’t know who this man is. Stay away from him. We are all in danger now.

Many thanks, dondi356, for yet another stellar recap. Did you really manage to do it with no captions? Wow! I should add that I also enjoyed your asides, such as "Cennet doesn’t know why she came (me neither). Says she’s sorry (for the millionth time, yawn)."

I'm very glad that I didn't have to recap last night's episode. I was not at all sure about the scene with Cengiz, Halil, and Arzu, nor about the final scene. Even with the wonderful background accounts you've given me, these scenes really needed someone like you who had actually seen the novela from the beginning. I have a feeling that this may also be true of tonight's episode. Moreover, although Telemundo claims that tonight's episode will start at 8:54 PM, both Zap2It and Comcast (my cable provider) say that it will be aired on the West Coast starting at 10 PM, which is really too late for me to do a recap. For both reasons, I'd like to propose swapping: would you do tonight's recap, and I'll do Friday's?

Thanks, Juanita and Nina. Yikes, I reread my recap and I saw many typos. Sorry about that.

I will put something up for tonight. Really hope I have some subs. Last night was a killer even though I had recorded the ep and rewatched a few scenes.

I have hated Melisa from the start. I fear her punishment will not be satisfying enough for me. I could say more but then you all would think I’m a very evil person.

Heaven help us if we are going to be treated to Melisa’s birthday party and yet another incident involving the eternal triangle, Selim, Cennet and Melisa.
