Caray, Caray!

We return to the screen to watch a full two minutes of Leonardo loudly making out with his Man of Lamancha's Impossible Dreamsicle. his "10", in the living room at Mama's house; this leads to some really freaky flashbacks for some of us in Viewerville.  On a scale of 1-10, I'd rank it a  negative 12.  Bwahahahahha!

At the same time, Clara is remembering Papi Justino advising her to steer clear of the types of people her big sister got involved with and to make her own decisions in life rather than let Nieves bully her around.  But, it's too late since she's now in it neck deep a diario with Dario.  She has second thoughts it would appear because suddenly she calls Leo to advise him of some strange man having kidnapped Maria Jose again.  She cannot describe him, has never before seen him, and now she's worried (hours after the fact?????) that Majo doesn't answer her phone.  Leo will handle it.   Elisa gives her two centavos' worth that she's certain it was  Cobra who has taken her.

Dario, aka Cobra,  has now turned back into Prince Charming...er... of sorts, and he is once again wooing Majo.  He and Majo are stargazing again from atop a stone wall in some lover's lookout point over the D.F.  Her phone rings and wrecks the mood.  It's Elisa and time for the pumpkin coach to return her to her corner near the coal pile to clean up the cinders once more.

Elisa's upset that there's no answer.  Leo's ready to go to the District Attorney and get the guys on JL's team to start searching for Majo again.  She tells him absolutely not!  Cobra is constantly following her, watching her every move.  He'd know if she brought the cops into this.  She tells him they should go back to the manse and see if Majo is there when they return.  Sounds like a plan to Leo and off they go.

Back at the manse, Leo and El are beginning to panic since Majo isn't back yet.  Outside, Dario drives up to the gate with her.  (Wow! The dude actually opened her car door for her!  When was the last time a guy did that for any of us, ladies????)  He romances her some more telling her she's the best thing that ever happened to him, before letting her go inside. 

Once Majo walks inside the manse,  Leo acts like Big Brother on steroids. "--Where have you been?"  "--What?  Are you going to interrogate me again?"  El doesn't like her going off with some guy outside the gym and staying incognito all this time.  (Considering the kidnapping, El does have a valid point.)  Majo blows it off saying she was with Marteeeeen and it was some sort of a prank.  Ok. WE've had enough excitement for the day.  Leave it for later. 

Leo calms Elisa down.  Meanwhile,  upstairs in her room, Majo texts Dario letting him know that El found out about their little tryst earlier. 

 El walks Leo out to his car and there's more make-out time.  (Chapstick anyone?)  He invites her to go off with him for the evening but she says it's a big day tomorrow.  She's got the new gallery's inauguration/premier tomorrow.  Leo wouldn't miss it (or making points with Elisa)  for the world, not that he's probably got the first clue about any of it. (Ok. Ok.  He doesn't plan spending time looking at any gallery art, just... maybe a few of her etchings if he's lucky.....)

Over at los Velasco, Theresa tries sneaking back into her bedroom.  Jose Luis, though, turns out to be a very light sleeper.  He gives her the third degree and she lies that she's been out with "the girls" enjoying herse'f.  He doesn't buy it for an instant.  "--Till 2AM?"  Yup.  So what. She's gotta get away till Mama is able to live in her own space.  'Course, she's totally pissed about indebting himself to build that addition on.  JL says it was only to please Terry.  She complains it's more than that, why couldn't he once in a while whisper sweet nothings, tell her she's pretty, etc.  He was about to, he admits, but her attitude nixed it. So,  who gives a rat's patoot now?   Just keep on keepin' on.  He's got a date with something just as soft and plump: his pillow.  Z-Z-Z.  But, Roberto? Romero?  sends a secret text to Terry saying he wants another date with her.  (You bad boy!  What you hidin'???)

The next morning early Mario calls Adriana to see if she needs a lift to work.  She is just about to jump into the car with JL.  She lies to Mario and says she's just about to get into a taxi and will be there soon.  (Whaaaaaa????)  However, it would seem Mario's outside her house and spying as she actually is getting into JL's car.  

Across town, Elisa walks in on Majo and demands the truth about who she was hanging with yesterday.  Majo lies again it was Marteeen.  Oh, replies El, "-- Martin Castenada, the one who died last year?  You think I'm some sort of fool?" (Apparently so...)  El then enters into a one-sided discussion about why Cobra is bad for Majo and is on a power trip to keep them under his thumb.    Majo's got to stay away from him or they're all in danger.   It's all talk to the hand for Majo.  (Have we forgotten the psychotherapy--or maybe there's an unconscious fear the therapist would want to commit the whole family?)

Next, Elisa calls Cobra to once again warn him off her family and, in particular, off Majo.   Cobra scoffs and tells her to stuff it where the sun don't shine cuz he's got proof of her doing bad stuff for him which would really put a cramp in her style were Leo to learn about it.  She could care less at this point.  Click.

On her way out the door to head off to the gallery, Renata runs in to ask El if she could take her to visit Marcelo in jail.  She's on her meds, cleaned up and pressed in her best, and chock-full of self-control.   El cannot since the opening is that day and she's got too many last-minute items to arrange.  Maybe Leo can.   

Outside Julia's home, Dario has cornered Clara claiming he knows she told Elisa that he'd taken Majo yesterday. He's about to use her as his personal punching bag but eventually she gets free by kicking or punching him in the gut and running upstairs screaming for Nieves.  Dario pulls a gun on the two of them and threateningly tells them it ain't over.  He then turns around and leaves, still pissed,  hissing like a hot poker.  When Nieves tries to baby her daughter, Clara sneers for Mama to get real. "-- Because of you Julia and the family got mixed up with lowlives like Cobra and Co.  

Later that morning we find  Leo has taken Ren to the prison with the intent of getting her permission to visit Marc.  

Back at los Velasco, Terry tells Sarah that she's not touched JL once in years because she thought he had a girlfriend somewhere. (TMI for one's MIL, but well, Theresa is pretty tacky.)   Now, though, it's simply because she realizes there's so much more to life and she wants to enjoy it to the fullest.  Sarah doesn't exactly know what to say to that and walks away.

Before Ren leaves with Leo to see Marc she mentions seeing the man that kidnapped Majo speaking with her inside their home.  Can she be certain?   Not these days, Ren figures, but she believes that is what she saw and she's warned Majo away from him.  However, Majo won't pay any attention to what she says.  

Speaking of that majo...r pain in the patoot, Majo races out from her bedroom into the hallway and screams bloody murder to Victoria about their now putting up security cameras outside her bedroom door.  Vicki explains it is for the benefit of the entire family, not just to spy on her.  Majo ain't having it.  She calls Elisa and tells her to order them to stop and pull those things down.  El reminds her those cameras are going up because Cobra got into the house the other day and Majo refused to say or do anything about it.  (Score 10 for Team Elisa and common sense.  On the other hand, what's a Stockholm Syndrom sufferer to do?)  Majo screams that she refuses to live inside a prison y punto!  Click.  

Ren does get her big chance to have a face-to-face with hubby.  She starts to tell him how much she supports him.  She still loves him....  "--but I don't love you."  (Man, the guy didn't exactly beat about the bush, now did he?)  That hits her like a bucket of ice water.  He explains that she's an incredible woman, and he's tried to be a good hubby to her but well, he fell in love with Sonia instead.  The reason he did what he did and (unfortunately) got caught was that he did it for Sonia, not for her.  "--What??  Nobody told you about me and Sonia??"  Nope.  Well, she's got it clear now.  She does what any self-respecting angry wife would do when told by the man she loves that he's not only been two-timing her but was in love with the other woman--yeah,  a gutter-snipe, social climbing, dimwit like Sonia as I believe Ren later puts it.  (Yeah, babe.  There is no accountin' for taste.)  She suddenly launches herself over the table and attacks him with bunny foot slaps.  Pffftts!  Hisssssss!  Meowwwwwl!   Leo has to carry her out screaming and kicking the entire way. (Wasn't nothing crazy about that reaction!)

It is now lunch and we see Dario dressed in a sport coat awaiting a guest.    It's Fabricio!  And has he got a deal for Fab. "-- Let's talk...."

Outside the prison now, Ren goes off about how the family all knew but kept it from her; they see her as an idiot and a fool and have taken from her the only good thing she thought she had and wrecked it for her.  He offers to take her back to the house.   Hell, no she doesn't want to go back to the house!   Why?  Well, at least Leo has broad, brotherly shoulders and Ren takes advantage of them. (Good on Leo.  This is a damsel in true distress.)

Mario arrives at the office and checks in with JL and Adriana.  They are about to watch the video of Julia and Augusto's meeting.  There's a guy there who can read lips and he's going to interpret the discussion for the team.  

A while later, Leo has calmed Ren down and brought her home.  Victoria learns that she's gone to visit Marc who told her straight out he was in a relationship with Sonia.  Ren complains to Vicki for the family treating her as a complete fool.  (No,  they all just got to walk on egg-shells around there because anything even mildly upsetting triggers a major mental breakdown!)  Ren races up to her room.  Vicki sneers at Leo, asking what right he felt he had to take her daughter to see Marcelo.  Leo explains that Elisa had asked him. (It was a favor, beotch!)   She tells him to leave Elisa alone and never to darken their door again.  He doesn't argue and exits stage right.

Back at the police station, JL gets the lip reading translation.  Julia is telling Augusto that she needs "that money" and if she doesn't get paid she's going to tell everything she knows. (Apparently a bad choice and a prime example of Darwin's law of stooopid.)  Adriana wonders if it could be Marc then who killed her.  Mario is a nay.  JL is a full-blown you betcha!  When a minute later JL suggests going on a break with Adriana, she accepts.  Mario pulls Adri aside and asks what's what and hints that she's standoffish. (I think.)  She looks at him like he is crazy and storms off.  

At the gallery presentation, Elisa walks over while Fernanda is nastily naming each of   Elisa's faults and major doctrinal sins to Fab.  Elisa comes over just then and frees up Fabby for chitchat.  Fern shuts it and takes a hint.  Vicki walks over with Eugenio.  They both fawn over her and Fab and what a mahhhhvelous couple the two make.  Elisa wants to know why Ren isn't at the opening.   Vicki asks her what she was thinking of letting Leo bring her sister to that prison to see Marc.  (Nice guilt-tripping diversionary tactic by authority challenged telenovela mothers everywhere.) The dirtwad actually admitted his love affair with Sonia; so El can just imagine how Ren took the news!   El tells Mama not to blame Leo.   Vicki takes the opportunity to scoff at Leo and his station in life along with his "low-level" low-pay profession.  Fabby fits their social position and is more to her liking and Elisa's station in life.  "-- What's that Leo got to offer you?  "--Luhhhv, Mama. That enough for me."    

Meanwhile, Ren recovers somewhat and tells the maid to keep her mouth shut about her going out for a while.  

The drifting yacht is found but we don't know what governmental agency it is.  No uniforms are apparent.  Hmmm.  Some orange jumpsuits, though.

Ren is now stumbling and weak.  Just as she makes it into the hospital emergency room lounge area she collapses onto the floor.  (Nice way to make an entrance.)

Back at the gallery, Majo tells Vicki and El she's heading back home.  This place is too socially stultifying for her.  (Yup, me too.)

Across the room, Uncle Ewwwy offers to cede his shares in Grupo Cantu to Fab so he can become a major power player and impress Elisa.  Fab says he's more interested in helping out Elisa than any power trip. Papi Eww cuts Fab from 6' to 5'10.  "--How do you do that when you're sleeping with her best friend?   It's rather obvious that Fernanda has other plans.  But not to worry, your secret  'relationship' is safe with me." (Viewerville wonders what the backstory is here that he and Fab have been estranged for so long.)  Fab suggests his tastes in women may have since changed.  Great, says Ewwy,  then Fab should accept the shares and he can do whatever he wants with Elisa....je-je-je...wink...wink.  Just then they spy Leo greeting El and landing a big juicy lip-lock on her.   Ewwy warns his son that he's letting his "big opportunity" slip away.

In the emergency room, Ren learns from the doctor that she's preggers.

Back at the galleria, Leo mentions how badly he feels about exposing  Ren, considering the extreme emotional reaction she had when Marc told her about    Sonia.  El admits she would have learned about it sooner or later and says not to blame himself.  Leo, with nothing more interesting to gab about decides to ask her if he told her he loved her yet today.  (Not exactly Jose Cool.)  More smooching and lip-locking in the middle of the crowded room of a formal event--tacky, truly tacky.  El looks up and suddenly notices Scario (in a really bad-ass blazer, BTW) staring at her.  She harrumphs over.   He warns her not to make a scene cuz he's packing heat.  For some odd reason, he wants to meet "her boyfriend."   Otherwise, if she refuses, she can choose which of her loved ones he shoots first.  (Dun-dunn-dunnn!)
