DAYTIME TNs…y Mas (#1): Week of Nov. 2, 2020
Welcome to page 1 of Daytime TNs! This page is being provided to give those who are watching daytime TNs on any channel a place to discuss the TNs aired prior to 6PM. If you would like to contribute a recap or just some highlights for a daytime TN, I’m sure there are those who watch the same TNs that would appreciate it. TNS currently being discussed are

MARIANA
A FEW HIGHLIGHTS:
Atilio, all drugged out and under the spell of that curandero Isidro, is forced to face his evil deeds. Unfortunately, Atilio remains unrepentant.
The full moon shines down again on Mariana and Iggy in the fairy tale glade on a bed of flowers (???)
Marcia calls out Atilio on him being upset that she was with Iggy when he was the one who told her to fight for Iggy. Unfortunately, she APOLOGIZES to make nicey nice with Atilio.
Isabel has everyone’s number especially Atilio’s.
Carol tells Mariana that Iván’s last name is Lugo-Navarro.
Marcia is not a happy camper when she learns that Iggy and Mariana were together. Iggy has to explain ONE MORE TIME to Marcia that he NEVER loved her and never will. She needs to get her hearing and her head examined.
Mariana should have punched Marcia in the face when she slapped her.
Marcia’s revenge against Iggy and Mariana is to drown the baby in the river. Lola is injured by Marica trying to stop her. Lola manages to the baby out from under the water just as Lucrecia arrives. Marcia blames Lola. Lola blames Marcia. Lucrecia is too stupid to see through Marcia’s crappola eventhough she has to admit that Lola has always been so honest in the past. Lola reminds her once again that the baby isn’t Marcia’s. (Too bad Lola didn’t have the strength to brain Marcia with a rock.) Lucrecia and Marcia agree that something has to be done about Lola.
Iván takes control of his property as the lawful Lugo-Navarro heir in spite of Iggy and the miners. He explains that Atilio had kept him at bay all these years. They come to blows when Iván insults Iggy’s mother. Iggy vows to fight another day.
Isabel and the cook talk about what will happen when Iggy finds out he is Atilio’s son.
Life-threatening surgery is on the menu for Atilio in order for him to be able to walk again so he can win Mariana’s heart.
Mariana feels about Iggy just like she did the first time she laid eyes on him.
Iván will take it all from Iggy. Iván feels ready for an all out fight with Atilio.
An hysterical Lola goes to tell the priest what Marcia did and that she Lola is innocent.
El Cumache gingerly points out that Mariana Lugo-Navarro is his one and only heir. Atilio sees that as his trump card.
Marcia and Lucrecia deliver the news about Lola trying to drown the baby. They want something done. Iggy can’t believe it and neither can Isidro.

So when Iggy and Mariana meet under the tree and the moon shines upon them, do white and red rose petals and lighted torches magically appear? Might powerful passion that is!

Zap2it says no Mariana Tuesday because of fútbol. Same Wed and Thursday, back to "normal" on Friday.
Somehow the word "normal" just doesn't seem to fit Mariana, which might have been better titled "Rampant Stupidity in the hinterlands of Mexico and in Imaginary Countries in the Caribbean".
Stay safe in the meantime.

What is really stupid is that Futbol doesn't start till this afternoon and they messed up the morning schedule...except for "Pajaro Sonador" and Laura Sin Censura" GRRRRR

In the last week's post, I put a comment with the introduction. Here is another sample.
Previously in "Pájaro soñador." Albatross list.
Sanem enters the office and runs into Guliz dressed as a flight attendant - she is going to be in an ad for an airline, one of company's clients. Sanem asks Guliz to mark all men with a beard in the list to narrow down her search for her "albatross" - the most romantic man in the world. Guliz asks to take a picture of her in the flight attendant suit and Sanem takes a selfie. Can was passing by at the moment and got himself into the selfie. Can asks Sanem to step into his office. In the office he notices the big scratch on her knee - the result of yesterday's fence climbing. Can brings the first aid kit and cleans and bandages her knee. Puts some alcohol on it and blows to make it burn less. They smile at each other. Cute scene. Then Can notices the piece of paper, the albatross list Sanem left on the couch. He looks at it. Can: "Hm, 'Albatross List'." Sanem: "It is the list of men with a beard." Can: "I also have a beard, why am I not on the list?" Sanem: "Because you didn't wear a suit." (Sanem saw Can later in casual clothes, but that was because he changed by then. Can is the albatross she is looking for, the one who kissed her.) While trying to get the list out of Can's hands Sanem gets really close to Can – kissing distance. End of ep 4. The last frame of the episode makes it look like they are going to kiss. Sort of a cliffhanger.

Why albatross? That is Sanem's favorite bird. As she describes it: Lives in Galapagos. There are millions of them flying over blue ocean. It spends almost all its life in flight. It glides in the sky for a long time, without stopping. Flies and flies for days. It is a beautiful bird. It is very intelligent. It goes to Galapagos islands to mate. It is monogamous and has a mate for the whole life. But it likes to fly from one place to another. It is happy that way. And so lives albatross.

Sanem realizes how close she got and turns away. No kiss.
Emre asks Sanem to attend Can's meeting about airline project so he can pass the info to Aylin. Sanem asks Emre why he says Can is trying to sabotage the company. Emre makes up a story that Can wants to sell the company and leave. Sanem: "But if he wants to sell the company, why he is looking for new projects" Emre: "Because he wants the company stock to rise and sell at a higher price. We need to prevent any new project." Sanem: "OK, I will do it. I owe you a lot of money."
Slow motion, action music. Sanem is walking to attend Can's meeting in the conference room. She is fiddling with the coffee cup, barely watching her step. The conference room has an impeccably clean all glass door. The attendees of the meeting notice her walking fast towards the door. They watch in slow motion as she hits the glass. https://giphy.com/gifs/t47rOdCBwUhWg/html5 Everybody gasps. Can runs to see if she is ok. She is ok.
Can goes to the printing shop to print a poster for the campaign's presentation. Emre sends Sanem with him to get the information on the campaign so he can pass it to Aylin. Can is waiting for Sanem on a motorcycle. She sees him and her face looks like she is in front of the highest ride in Six flags. After some coaxing she gets on the bike. She grabs his chest tightly. Off they go. They arrive, she with closed eyes, wrapped tightly around Can. Can: "We arrived. Want to ride some more?" Sanem: "I thought I was going to die. Are you trying to kill me?" The printing shop will have equipment available in a couple of hours, so Can invites Sanem to go for a walk. They walk along the coastal promenade, chat and stop by to eat. While eating the talk, they smile, they laugh, clearly enjoying each other's company.
Can and Sanem get back to the printing shop – no power, cannot print anything. Can wants to use an antique printing press that doesn't need electricity. He uses Sanem as his assistant while he works. Like nurse in the operating room, Sanem wipes sweat from his forehead. When they are done, Sanem takes the pictures of their work and sends them to Emre.
Back in her house, after the long day's work, Sanem looks at the selfie with Guliz and Can and is pensive. "What is happening to me?" Lovely smile appears on her face as she remembers the day, and then disappears.
