RgvChick, you called it on Atilio being able to walk.

Mariana chooses her loyalty to Atilio over Iggy. He finally has had enough and is done with her. Took long enough.

After Atilio shot Iván’s bodyguard, El Cumache didn’t kill Iván when he shot him in the shoulder.

Mariana is arrested for the murder of Iván’s body guard.

Mariana is pregnant again with Iggy’s baby but is determined to never let him know about it.

Atilio suspects that Marcia has been double crossing him and warns her she could end up dead.

Iggy and miners have been evicted. the Lugo-Navarro property. Marcia has hired the miners back at 50% of their wages.

Iggy catches Cumache roughing up Lola as she goes on about the baby he brought to Marcia. He punches him out and then demands to know the truth.

****After Marcia tries to choke Lola with a piece of rope, why didn’t Lola have abrasions and bruises on her neck????

Looks like Atilio got a dye job.

Jarifa, thanks! Yep, things sure were poppin' in this one :-)

You covered all the major points in your masterful way, but I've gotta mention Chachi's zombie-like state and her change toward MaLola. She actually didn't cringe when Lola touched and and that scene in the river with them playing and throwing water at each other really took me by surprise. For a minute I thought Chachi was going to hit Lola with those rocks so close by.

JudyB and Doris, if your out there, it's still all about the Spanish. I learned a new word today pocilga Ati used it to describe Ruth's home...as a PIGSTY!

I laugh every time Lola mentions that fake pregnancy belly and today she was watering it so she can have another "lirio blanco" (white lily) or rather another baby Chachi! NO! NO! NO! Not another one!

So I started watching full episodes of this. It really is a cutesy TN and a comedy at that. Friday's fav scene was Sanem following Arsu (a model) around while carrying around a dish of burning coffee. Why you may ask? To keep the flies away! I learn something new everyday! 🤷‍♀️
 

RgvChick, good point about Chachi. It made me laugh how she was all over Atilio and he couldn’t stand it.

Don't Cumache and the various other henchmen ever get tired of being called "imbécil"?

Hey, hey! What was Yadira wearing? Is Frederick's of Hollywood still in business??? Yes, says Sr Google, but online only as of 2015. But there must have been a store open in Costa Esmeralda when this TN was made.

Definitely a different Chachi this episode, and Camilo looks like he's having fun curing all sorts of stuff all over the jungle. I'm not sure at all what this jungle medical ministry is supposed to do for the story but whatever.

Andy, “Frederick”s of Hollywood” ! I haven’t thought about them in years. The novela is from 2003. I think you are on to something. At least Camilo is safe from Chachi in the jungle. She is scary.

Running commentary . . .

Iggy still doesn’t believe Lola even after seeing El Cumache attacking her?

Camilo Is smart to have decided to stay in the jungle. He only has to come back in the end to marry Yadhira, right?

No surprises with Mariana and her jail experience.

Lots of skullduggery going on in both episodes. Never good when children are the victims. Thumbs down on that subplot.

Will Mariana’s second kid look like the first with the red hair?

Lucrecia needs some Listerine after that kiss from Atilio. She better share it with Marcia.

Atilio becomes the focus of the murder investigation. Yay!

Great visual with Iggy arriving at the church carrying the boy’s coffin all alone down the aisle.

Iggy tells Marcia and Atilio he is done once and for all with Mariana. Nobody tells him that Mariana is pregnant with his kid. I still blame Lucrecia for this mess.

The baby that Chachi was holding upside down looked like one of those re-born dolls.

Snake bite time in the jungle with Camilo! That was short. ; (

Isidro sees bloody times ahead!

Mariana doesn't trust Carol. Is she growing one single brain cell? For a moment, I thought so but then she confronted Iván about him wanting to take revenge on Atilio even though she’s a Lugo Navarro and Atilio killed her parents.

Marcia is still trying to play both Iván and Atilio.

Surprise, El Cumache! Yes, Atilio can walk.

Chachi delivers Iggy some news! Atilio is his father.

We need DNA tests all around in this one.

I haven't watched today's episodes yet, but I'm hoping to get to them a little earlier than usual.

I forgot to mention yesterday just how impressed I am with Mariana's ability to get pregnant. It must be the full moon though I'm sure all the flower petals help.

Jarifa, very definitely depressing and unpleasant the part about the kids and Mediomundo. Very sad that Miguelito died as a result of the sabotage. And the villain had the nerve to laugh and look satisfied. He has earned himself a nasty anvil if Mejía and Company know their business. (At the moment I'm undecided about that.)

They even showed Miguelito in the closing credits. I guess all this was for those who "enjoy a good cry". And a bit hokey that God is sending Mediomundo and Miguelina a replacement. At least for me.

Was there any particular significance to Camilo's finding that man with a snake bite? That was not Oropo, right? And where is Oropo these days? Why isn't he taking care of snake bites and such?

Iggy loves his revenge. Now he has to settle score for Joselito.

Uh, oh. Looks like the chickens are coming home to roost for Lucrecia since Chachi let the cat out of the bag. LOL

Bet Isabel wishes she never decided to go see Iván in the hospital. .

Hmmm. The indigenous woman has never seen blonde hair but wears eye liner and false eyelashes. Okay.

Marcia has poisonous plans for Atilio.

Yadhira is on her way home. Camilo did have his marriage annulled. Do we see a reunion with Camilo in the jungle?

A showdown between Iggy and Atilio!

Is confession before the fact sacred???? Marcia confesses “before the acts” to the priest so he is not surprised. She will make sure Mariana doesn't have her baby and she is slowly poisoning Atilio. I hope it isn't too slow.

Iván has Mariana right where he wants her. Blech!

Would Lucrecia just tell Iggy the truth already about Atilio????

Atilio lies to Isabel about killing her novio. Nothing new there.

Jarifa thanks so much for gracing us with your running commentaries. I missed yesterday's episodes AND today's but with your astute comments I feel I don't have to waste my time and watch them.

What!? I missed Oropo?? Ok now I have to go FFW through these epis so I can take a look. And he was bitten by a snake?? Oh, noes! He must have lost some of his mojo!

Wednesday--

Seems like the same 'ol, same ol'-- lots of talk, threats and reproaches, little action, evil plots, and manipulation MEHHH! :-)

RgvChick, this has to be the oddest novela I have ever seen and I am watching it more like an academic exercise than anything else. I am glad you are enjoying the running commentaries. They are easy.

Jarifa, I'm another one who much appreciates your running commentaries. I depend on them, in fact. They help me watch and understand what's going on in this silly TN while still 'occasionally' yielding to temptation and pressing the FFWD button.

No eagle eye here. I thought it was NOT Oropo, just another jungle guy with long hair. I figured Oropo with his magic powers would never let a stupid snake get him.

Fat lot I know.

I have just started watching today's episodes and had to pause for a bit just in the recap because I was laughing so hard.
I just loved Iván's oh-so-confident statement to Marcia that he has his plan for Atilio completely calculated. This while lying in a hospital bed after being shot confronting Atilio and then almost being strangled by Cumache.
Great plans, not so great execution.

OT

It's a bit annoying. Sometimes there seems to be no TN really worth watching and then at other times there seems to be several.

That's now the case. Recording Mariana I also get a minute or so of the preceding Pájaro soñador which seems like it would be great fun, though I don't much care for Turkish TNs usually. (One of the reasons is that the dubbing so poorly matches the lip movement that I find it disconcerting. Brazilian Portuguese is not so bad.)

And now on at 5 PM is Hasta que el dinero nos separe starring Pedro Fernández, probably my favorite male actor/singer. This TN also appears to be a romantic comedy, which I prefer, especially the very silly ones (much less need to actually pay attention :-)

But I can't do it. I struggle to keep up with a two hours a day TN, and recording for later viewing seldom works. Univisión and Unimás change schedules at the drop of a hat. Fútbol takes precedence over anything else, and shows get moved to different time slots for reasons only known to the jerks at Univisión and Unimás.

So I can't do it. First world problems :-)

Oh, the kid who died was named Joselito. Somehow I thought his name was Miguelito. My bad.

Nobody will discover he can now walk, Atilio tells Cumache. Because he, like everybody else in telenovelandia, is so careful to lock his door, right?

I don't know how Iván can feel so confident when it seems just about anybody can walk in and start beating on him.

Yay! Yadira has a flower in her hair again! And now she's off into the jungle to find her people. I hope she's still in heels so as to make a good impression when she enters the village :-)

Nope, barefoot. Oh, well. Hmmm, all the women want her gone. But what do the guys say? :-)

Yep, and Mariana runs to confront Atilio and ask him if it's true. And we get our cliff hanger for the day.

Andy, I think it was Joselito. At, first I thought it was Gonzalito. Go figure! What a cliffhanger! How long will Mariana debate this issue in her head no matter what Atlio says. Loves her . . . Loves her not . . . Will the “yuck” factor kick in?? Time to finish up the Yadhira storyline and let her stay in the jungle with her tribe and Camilo. There is something about Mariana that makes me think it could have been produced in the 1950’s. I am always shocked that it isn't even 20 years old.

Andy, I understand your telenovela dilemma. It is different on my end. Since the virus hit and I have been under ”house arrest”, so to speak, I have had too much time to watch novelas. Sometimes I think I do it to a avoid the news. I am a fan of the comedies/dramedies but don’t get to see much of those because it seems it is “all drama all the time” especially lately. My favorite novela is “La fea más bella” followed by “Por ella soy Eva”. Recently I recapped “Cómo tú no hay 2” . Nothing like some wordplay and slapstick to keep me happy. I saw “Hasta el fin del mundo” and it was a cute one but Pedro Fernández ended up leaving in the middle so you are missing 100% of Marjorie Sousa but only 50% of Pedro Fernández not being able to watch it. They can keep anything that is dubbed just for the reason you stated.
