Lola surprising them all at breakfast with Marcia’s old pregnancy belly was THE HIGHLIGHT Hope she wasn't hurt too much when Marcia pushed her down the hill to get it back.

Another call for DNA tests for Iggy because he is NOT a Lugo-Navarro. and the baby is Mariana’s.

Camilo is such a self-righteous jerk.

Atilio is suffering from the poison with dizzy spells and some pain. How long until he is incapacitated? Soon I hope.

Marcia is on a real roll especially with knowing Atilio can walk and demanding a church wedding by the same old priest she has used as her “confessor” with her depraved sense of fun.

Mariana actually believed that there was a name mistake on the death record of her son? (With tostada stained money? LOL) Will she believe Atilio that he saw the baby was dead? Will she make him explain why he didn’t tell her all this and kept it a secret?

Looks like Mariana’s declaration that she would never see Atilio as a “man” but only as a father figure didn't make it through Atilio's thick head.

Atilio got his way getting Ivân’s casino closed down. Even though Iván is getting out of town, I hope he becomes a thorn in Atilio’s side again.

Lucrecia getting all lovey dovey thinking about Atilio was disgusting but appropriate because she was telling the priest who, with honoring his confessional protections, is just as responsible as she is for most of the misery happening in the novela.

 

"MARIANA":

Jarifa: My thoughts on what's going on...

1.) The Padre isn't going to be with us much longer & Marcia is hell-bent on marrying Iggy (who's her nephew which is incestous & GROSS)

2.) Atilio must've had some influence with law enforcement. Ivan's going to be a problem with for the Montenegro's down the road.

3.) Mariana: UGH! Open your damn eyes girl.

4.) Camilo: I don't even want to bother because he deserves Crazy, Whacky Bipolar Chachi.

5.) Maybe Camilo's brother the Priest can give Yadhira a happily ever after.

6.) Had no idea Yadhira was from the indigenous tribe. Not shocked Angry Indigenous Girl hates Yadhira's guts.

7.) Too bad Lola got pushed down the hill by Psycho Marcia. Marcia cannot have kids due to some condition, but she sure as Hell loves to use her seductive body to get Iggy horny.

8.) Isabel still has no clue that Creepy Atilio whacked her fiance several years ago. She's going to become a mess once the truth comes out.

Yay! I got to see Lola prancing around with that fake belly in front of every one! That was a hoot and definitely the highlight.

Agree about self-righteous Camilo and lovey-dovey Lucrecia. Yadira should take up with Oropo, he's so much HAWT-er. And i really can't blame Lucre for becoming lovey-dovey; evilness aside Atilio makes my heart skip a beat and my hands sweat just looking at him :-)

Oooh Andy, more eye candy for you, lucky guy! Those indigenous women who wear makeup and quite revealing clothes sure don't look like the typical indigenous women I was used to seeing.

Jarifa, I keep thinking about you mentioning 34 more episodes...so that means 2 more weeks of this idiocy...give or take a couple of days??? Woohooo!

Andy, I read your commentary about the TNs you've dropped in on and saw you mentioned Pajaro Sonador. I am really taken with this TN that I was reeled into. The dubbing usually bothers me, but I do like the main storyline. Watching Sanem and Can together is just wonderful! and Sanem gets into so much mischief, it's hilarious.

On Tuesday, she put strawberries into Arsu's (the model) nutritional drink knowing that Arsu is allergic to them...and all to keep Arsu away from Can. Then, at the office, she tried to sabotage a visit/audit from some potential clients by throwing paper and empty plastic bottles all over...and having a mouse (which ended up being a hamster) let loose in the office.

Yesterday Sanem and her sister egged the store that was bought out from her parents by a man who pretty much swindled her parents into selling it to him since they were in dire need for money to pay off a loan...which BTW, Sanem had arranged to pay off but failed to tell them!

I can't wait to see what mischief she gets into next!

Lucio, if you can add to or correct anything I've written, please do so!

RgvChick, to me there is NO contest between Oropo and Camilo either. Guess Yadhira wants to suffer some more. I am thinking we are probably closer to 4 weeks left if there are no soccer re-schedules. I am ready to see this one tucked in and put to bed even though jt has been a hoot to watch with you and Andy.

BTW, it was unbelievable how Lola has been telling just about everyone multiple times about Marcia wearing that fake belly and Atilio hears it ONCE and believes her. BLECH!

Yay! Isabel has a brain cell! That's one brain cell and about a dozen people involved in this nonsense.

Camilo is such a jerk. And Oropo has the hots for Yadira? Not that I blame him, but when did this happen?
Nice to see that life in a remote village is much the same as everywhere else. Two women love the same man, two men love the same woman, and nobody is getting any rose petals.


I tell them, I tell them, and I tell them! Lock the stupid door! Why does nobody ever listen to me?

Isabel has a brain cell and Mariana almost has one. And Atilio is never at a loss for long, he will have a story for Mariana and she will probably believe it.
Only thing is, Cumache has some money to spend now so he will be off to the cantina, getting drunk and trying to impress the girls.

Marcia is evil and fun, Chachi is crazy and fun, María Lola is crazy and lots of fun. Iggy and Mariana are a waste of air time.

Sanem poses as a model and Can works as a photographer. Then they attend the party where their potential client announces which company wins the account. Sanem gets to wear a light red fluffy dress. Can is jealous when Fabri, the client, is interest in Sanem.

Can takes Sanem somewhere to eat, which turns out to be his cabin. To get out of the dress, Sanem borrows Can's soccer outfit, looks cute. Sanem prepares salad and Can goes to get firewood to cook the meal. Waiting for Can, Sanem finds a record, puts it in the record player and dances to "There's something inside Makes me feel alive No stopping it now." She is a little embarrassed when Can catches her. But she is rewarded by the show of Can shirtless splitting the wood with an axe. "How am I going to forget this now" she says to herself.

This TN is like a breath of fresh air. No murders, very light villainy. Engaging central romance, funny secondary characters.

The theme song, which Sanem sings and dances at the beginning of capítulo 1, played during opening and closing credits:

ITA agree about this TN and am enjoying it so much more that the others I'm watching...like a breath of fresh air is spot on.

How can these two keep their hands off each other? I can't blame Sanem for wondering how she would be able to get that vision of shirtless Can out of her head...I'm having difficulty too! LOL

Can't wait to see what they do when they find out that JJ convinced Fabri to give them the contract by telling him that Can and Sanem are lovers. I hope they play the part :-)

Running commentary . . .

Blah, Blah, Blah. Atilio only wanted to protect Mariana. Blah, Blah Blah.
Yay! Lola lives to fight another day! Couldn’t Isidro peck Marcia out of existence and we couldn’t we be rid of her once and for all?
Marcia is slick. She toasted but managed not to drink the poisoned wine.
Everyone is plotting. Even the old priest is thinking of going out of town but will he make it back for Iggy and Marcia's wedding? Marcia wants to know!
Chachi stole Isidro’s fortune telling bones. That does not “augur well” for anyone.
Mariana is moving on out!!! Didn't see that coming.
Marcia finally sees the double cross with Atilio forcing her to sell or buy but does not see the slap coming.
Mariana doesn't want any of Atilio's stinking help.
Carol still has the hots for Atilio.
Uh, oh, there is showdown between Marcia and the priest and she wins.
Hey, Iggy has filed charges against Atilio who is being arrested for the murder all of those Lugo-Navarro’s that he doesn’t even know he isn't even related to.
Looks like Atilio will get a chance to experience the jail called “the island” just like Iggy did.
Even El Cumache is taken aback that Marcia killed a PRIEST!!!! .
Iván sure knows how to gloat and smirk.
Marcia sure knows how to scrub bloody floors.
Surprise for Atilio: his old friend the warden is serving time himself because of Atilio.
Looks like Atilio has plenty of enemies to make his stay interesting.
Mariana would just like bygones to bygones . . . Between Iggy and Atilio. Sure . . ,
The priest must be off on his trip . . .
Isidro goes in search of his bones.
Iván and Carol enjoy themselves in and out of the river ? pond? lake?
Black and white stripes suit Atilio.
Finally, Camilo confesses his love for Yadhira but knows not where he is going but he isn't staying??????
Power play: iván is cutting off the water to Iggy’s property because he can.
Oh boy, Chachi resists the poeer of Isidro!
Mariana rents a car that El Cumache conveniently cuts the brake lines one. Looks like he might have hit the trifecta with Iggy and Lucrecia also in the car.
Uh, oh. El Cumache just betrayed Atilio by trying to kill Mariana for Marcia Doest look good for him if Atilio finds out.

Rgv Chickie, yeah, I've seen bits of this TN and it does look very nice. But the dubbing, the TN overload, etc., make it difficult for me.

The final straw is that Cutie Pie's love interest with all the wild facial hair just reminds me of Sasquatch.

NEW NOVELA - QUERERLO TODO

I believe something was already posted about this, but since it started airing in Mexico, anyone interested in this one when it airs on Univision? It's a true classic, there is a ranch (the Amor Bravio Malquerida), an heritage, lost children, a poor but handsome galan and ... drum roll... there is a sacerdote!! You can't go wrong when there is a sacerdote!
The only downside (for me) is that I don't particularly care about the main protas Michelle Renaud and Danilo Carrera), but it could be a fun, old-school, beanie heavy novela.
 

NEW NOVELA

Thanks for the synopsis, Adriana. I very briefly mentioned it on one of the "Coming Soon" pages, but didn't expect it to be airing in the US until 2021. If it's already airing in Mexico it might air sooner. Yikes! I don't know if I'll be watching; it just depends on how many other TNs I'm watching at the time. And I'm with you on Dani and Michelle.

Sanem and Can spent the night together (but didn't sleep together...RATS!) after a night of BBQ, lots of wine and a bit of dancing...during which Sanem fell asleep as Can confessed to her that he was her albatross!

Next day, Can goes to drop off Sanem and sees the guy who swindled her parents out of the store. Once Sanem goes inside her house, Can goes over to the store, and threatens the new owner with reporting him to the cops (since he is out on parole); so the store owner returns the store to Sanem's parents.

Once at the office, Sanem and Can each find out that JJ told Fabri that they were lovers. Sanem also finds out that Can has a GF and gets pissy jealous. As she and Can argue in one of the offices, Can questions if she really is engaged so she flashes her ring at him. Unfortunately (or maybe fortunately) Fabri who has come to invite Can and his staff to a motivational camp out sees them and assumes that Can just proposed to Sanem and gave her the ring!

Can't wait to see what happens at the camping trip!

THe Invincible Maria Lola! The woman has more lives than a cat and I am so glad!! And STILL no one believes her!

I was so glad tha Ati went to "La Isla" and met up with his buddy, the gross toothed warden. I have ot say, though, those prisoners must have just been given brand new crispy clean uniforms...nothing like what Iggy wore when he was there!

So it took Isidro a whole day to figure out that the only other person who was in his shack was Chachi so she was the one who took the magic bones. I had to laugh when he tried to make her tell the truth. has he forgotten that he is dealing with a mad woman.

I am so done with Camilo; can he just go deeeep into the jungle and stay there?

How stupid of the priest to tell Marcia what he was planning to do (even though he was lying). How many times did he have to be told BY MARCIA tha she would kill him?

Question of the week: How did Cumache know which car would be rented to Mariana????

Same here, Chickie, if I'm busy I won't be able to keep up. I might have a look on Televisa, episodes are available for foreign viewers for a while, see if it catches my eye.

Kind of OT - I'm rather more interested in the Silvia Navarro one on Telemundo, because, you know, Silvia Navarro;

Thank you, Rgv Chick, for the summary. The snowball of lies of Sanem keeps getting bigger. Now Osman is supposed to be her fiancée, but he doesn't know that yet. He is Sanem's plus one to the motivational camp. And in the evening, she and Can have a dinner with Fabri, as a pair of madly in love. That should be interesting.

I am watching the new telenovela Quererlo todo and it is exactly as you described it, Adriana Noelle. A very old-fashioned telenovela, cliché characters, lots of illogical decisions, horrid clothes, lovely surroundings, family secrets, scheming antagonists, and there even is the village cantina, the village doctor and the village fool!
The cast is really good and it seems to be exactly what was missing from the telenovela scene lately.
It surely is a telenovela that would provide a lot of material for Caray recaps.
 

New Novela
Anon, you've convinced me, I'm going to have a look and if it's snark worthy enough I'll be sure to vouch for it when they start showing it on Uni. The fact that it's old fashioned rancho got me interested, too, I miss those so much. I'm all for modern heroines and Smart galans, but stooppid people are much more fun.
