Caray, Caray!

 We’re back at the cemetery, where Leo is threatening Ewwgenio with jail for all of his crimes. He mentions Sonia, too, the way she disappeared before he could talk to her. Fab defends his daddy and everybody has to jump in to break them apart.

Elisa is mad at Leo, his behavior will only drive her away, is that what he wants? Leo is upset, too, what is he supposed to do, pretend that everything is OK? It’s his duty to investigate, search for the truth, wherever it may lead. Elisa wants him to stop accusing her family, they already hate him and are making her life impossible. 

When Elisa leaves to go back to her sainted relatives, Adriana warns Leo that he went too far. He has to understand that Elisa will never see things his way, this is her family and she loves them. Besides, if she knew anything, she would tell him. Leo agrees, that’s why he has to defend Elisa, because when everything will come out she will be in danger. Eww is using her, but he will take care that she never ends up in prison. 

HAHAHAHAHA, poor Adriana, wait until you find out who Elisa really is. Leo is blinded by love, but what is your excuse?

Leo gets a call from the office, he needs to go talk to his superiors right away.

Victoria asks  Eww to do something about that busybody cop who won’t let them be. How dare he? Eww assures her, just like he assured Fab earlier, that he WILL take care of Leo. Vic thinks that Eww is joining her for lunch, but he has other things to tend to: somehow Sonia found out about Marcelo and had a crisis. Vic gets upset, why does Sonia have to stay in his house? He can take care of the baby from afar. She’s so upset that she leaves with Majo, who is closely watching their talk. Where is Elisa to see this display of jealousy?

Well, she’s with Fab, back at the office. He’s whining about Leo (again), Elisa tries to come up with the excuse that Leo is a good guy who is just trying to do his job. That is definitely not enough, though, Fab is on the path of character assassination: Leo is jealous and selfish, his threats are dangerous for the entire family. If he continues to investigate, he will find out the truth. Therefor Elisa has to get rid of the galleries. Elisa won’t hear of it, she’s afraid that someone from her family will be killed if she can no longer do Dario’s dirty work.

JL is home and he is FURIOUS with his brother. The traitor needs to leave his house immediately. Sara tries to defend her younger son, but JL won’t hear any reason. Leo only came to town to cause him problems and now he wants to take the job for which he’s worked his entire life. He wants him OUT of the house! Leslie is looking on, frightened, but it is Teresa who gets JL’s attention. He taunts her, she says that she’s not surprised that he’s a loser. JL gets very violent, grabs her arms and he would have probably done worse if Sara and Leslie hadn’t intervened. He leaves the house kicking and screaming.

Leo and Adriana arrive at the office. Mario tells Leo to go to Tapia’s office, then fills in Adriana with the news of Leo’s promotion and JL’s bad reaction to it.

The two police chiefs who wanted to talk to Leo praise him and his work. They want him to lead the Criminal Investigation Unit from now on. Leo is shocked, but he promptly refuses the position. This should be his brother’s job, he’s worked very hard for it. His superiors mention what a big opportunity this would be, but Leo won’t have any of it, he could never do this to his brother.

Eww arrives home to a disheveled Sonia. She’s upset because he promised that he won’t hurt Marcelo. Hahaha, like his word is worth anything! Eww thinks that he did Marc a favor because jail for life wouldn’t have been a treat. As for her, he gave her everything that she could have ever wanted, he treated her like a queen and she still cheated. So now she will remain locked in the house all through her pregnancy. And she better behave, eat well and take care of herself, or else… Yeah, he mentions torture, so I guess that he’s not afraid of what that might do to his possible offspring. He already has two twisted kids, one more won’t even make a difference.

Fab storms out of Elisa’s office, ignoring Fernanda completely (loved it). She asks Elisa what is going on and Elisa tells her that Fab asked her to close the galleries and leave Leo. Or else he will quit. Fer stresses how important Fab is for the company, can’t Elisa throw him a bone or something? Elisa is not amused at the suggestion so Fer backs down, but what other way is there to keep Fab in the company?

Clara is back at Majo’s. She thinks they both suffered a lot and she just wants to be around. Majo knows that she can’t stand Dario, but she loves him, so how about they never talk about him? Instead, let’s go in search of some booze.

Fab tells Eww about Elisa’s illegal activities with the galleries and his suggestion to close them. Eww is mortified by such things, why did she never come to him? Fab explains that Elisa is being threatened, she started doing this in order to save Majo and now she’s in too deep. Oh, poor tio, to think that he put his money on the line just to help the Cantus. Not to worry, Fab is going to fix everything, he will salvage his daddy’s reputation. Eww thanks him for such bravery.

So now Fab knows, Fer knows, Majo knows, tio Eww “knows” about Elisa’s money laundering schemes – oh, and Leo, the one guy who could protect her legally and make the whole thing go away, still has NO CLUE.

Leo arrives home to find the women of the house in a state of shock. Sara tells him what happened, Tere shows him the marks on her arms where JL grabbed her. She’s sick and tired of this house, she will file charges against JL.  

Leo explains that he didn’t take the job, because JL is the only one deserving of it. Enter his mad brother, who’s still in destruction mode. He calls Leo ungrateful, accuses him of playing the star cop while he has to clean up all his messes, reminds him how he’s always stood by him, paying his studies and protecting him. And throws him out of the house.

Leo listens to the rant in disbelief, he’s incredibly hurt by his brother’s accusations. Leslie cries that Leo turned down the job. JL looks surprised, Leo explains that he could never betray him because he loves him, he owes him everything, he is the one who deserves the job and he is his BROTHER! This works better than a punch in the face, Leo leaves right after. Sara urges JL to go after Leo and he eventually does, but it’s too late, his brother is already gone. JL is appalled by his own behavior, he can’t believe how he reacted, what is wrong with him?

Renata is talking with Mauricio about his condition. He’s bipolar on top of some other things. Ren is interested in his story until Elisa shows up. Mauricio offers the two sister some privacy and Ren notices immediately that Elisa is upset. Elisa explains that Leo is accusing the beloved tio of being a criminal and they are fighting because of it.

Renata asks  Elisa not to lose Leo because of tio Eww, it’s not like he’s done all that much for them. And all that he has done was because he was gaining something from it, too. He’s too close to them, always around their mother, and she has seen strange stuff, like their dad fighting with Eww before his death. Elisa doesn’t look like she’s believing her sister too much and once again I have to wonder how come Ren and Majo, who have seriousmental  problems at the moment, can be more perceptive than Elisa.

Renata urges her kid sister to stand by Leo, stop worrying about the family and live her own life. She is in love, this is the only thing that should matter now. She herself remembers a time when she was loved, too, she would wish nothing more than to be with Marcelo again. She’s lost him because of her craziness and now they are both locked up, far away from one another… This makes her sad, she goes to ask for a sedative from a nurse.

Eww meets with Dario, warns him they can’t make a mistake now because Leo is getting close to finding out the truth. Dario thinks they could get rid of him, Eww wants to wait and see who will take Tapia’s place first. Dario wonders who suggested to Elisa to close the galleries, Eww stays mum. (Is he trying to protect his other son? Does he know the meaning of the word?) Dario wants to keep pressuring Elisa, maybe even Victoria. Eww snaps at him, Dario is not to approach Victoria until he says so. That last part got me confused as we still don’t know Eww’s endgame. Does he plan to have Dario inflict his specific brand of pain on all Cantu women down the line?

Majo is drinking,  she tells Clara that she’s sad because her brother in law committed suicide, her sister is hurting, she’s lost her baby and she’s in a hospice unaware of the fact that her husband has been killed. Clara notices the contradiction, Majo starts crying, she feels guilty because she knows the murderer  was Dario, but she can’t say anything because she loves him. Quite the pickle, huh?

Later on, as Majo is very drunk Clara takes a picture of her. Majo notices, Clara lies that she is looking at photos of her dad. Majo forces her to take a sip of her glass, Clara says that alcohol doesn’t work, since she’s still in pain over her dad’s death.

Renata has taken a pill and is now in her room, about to doze off. She mentions how she dreams of her dad, her baby and Marcelo and that makes her happy (this is extremely sad to watch). But when she’s awake, there is nothing to make her happy, could Elisa offer her the joy of calling Leo? Love is hope and she is loved, she has love within her reach.

Leo is with Adriana and Mario talking about JL’s reaction. Adriana assures Leo that he’s not the bad guy here, since he did nothing wrong. And he should have taken the job. Elisa calls, they awkwardly chat for a moment and Leo asks her to come over at Adriana’s house.

Adriana reads between the lines and drags Mario outside, leaving Leo to wait for his beloved. He goes to buy some flowers, send a “can’t wait to see you text” to Elisa and waits for her arrival.

Fab goes to see Fer, he’s upset with his dad because once again he is using him. Huh, last we saw the two of you, you were vowing to protect his reputation.

Fer has other worries, she urges Fab to take advantage of the ultimatum he has given Elisa and asks  her to sign over the constructora to him. Let her keep her galleries, that’s not their main objective.

Elisa arrives at Adriana’s. Leo mentions that they are alone and apologizes for losing his control at the cemetery. Elisa is bothered because accusing her family has become a habit. She thinks they should have a serious conversation. He knows that, but can they just take advantage of the moment for now? Does she doubt his love?

Never! And how could she say no to him? She knew as soon as she agreed to come that she will not be able to resist him. Beso, beso, beso. For now everything is good.

Victoria is getting in her car. Dario is waiting for her on the back seat. She thinks he’s a thief, but he reassures her quickly. He’s Majo’s novio, they spoke on the phone the other night. Victoria recognizes him from the gallery opening, he reminds her that he was also the flower delivery man at the house. Victoria is scared, but she tries to keep a brave face: he won’t be able to scare her the way he does her daughters.

Dario laughs, Majo is in love with him, and he loves her back. He starts mentioning Eww, but Vic stops him, shocked that he would know so much about her family. Of course he does, they belong to him (I didn’t get this part!) Victoria thinks he wants to kill them all, but they didn’t steal anything from him, Augusto did. Dario mentions Leo, her other son in law (hehe), who is investigating everything, sooner or later he will realize Elisa’s involvement (so now even Victoria will know). And he will take Majo and go far away. Victoria looks petrified as Dario warns her to be very careful, because she doesn’t know him and everything he’s capable of yet.
