El Cobra – AKA Dario – taunted Fabricio about their blood connexion, also telling him that he needed to respect his older brother. Fabricio didn't accept this, which led to a comment about how “I am the dark side of our father; you are the 'nice' image he presents to the world”. He taunted Fabricio further about his mother's death and his failure to be on time for the funeral. He then went on about having done their father's dirty work “while you reaped the benefits of it.” Also that this had everything to do with his mother's death. “This is only the beginning,” he finished. “This will be revenge against our father.”

Leo tried explaining about the money laundering having been done by Augusto, but Robles knew about all that had happened since the man's death. Leo told him that this was since Elisa and her sister had been kidnapped and Elisa was being threatened with harm to her family. Robles – who is a letter-of-the-law kind of guy, said that Elisa would be prosecuted anyway based on the evidence.

Elisa told Adriana she didn't want Leo involved in this. She was looking to set a trap for El Cobra when the exhibition opened. Adriana said she would wait for her call. Victoria did not hear all of this. She laid in wait for Adriana's departure and questioned Elisa about her visit. Elisa told her they were setting a trap and everything will be alright.

Teresa told Reynaldo she needed his help. She needed a good lawyer to fight José Luis because she was sure he would take Leslie and leave her with nothing. Reynaldo told her he knew someone and would pay him so she could find peace. He accepted the future terms of their relationship.

José Luis was watching them from his car. He wrote down Reynaldo's plate number.

Victoria left a voice mail for Eugenio to call her back ASAP. Elisa asked her whom she tried to reach only to get the reply that this was none of her business. Victoria played the Mother Card, as she always did. Elisa remained cool, asing her if there was anything she wanted to talk about. Victoria tried another evasion, so Elisa cut to the chase and asked what was going on between her and Eugenio.

José Luis handed the plate number to Mario with the order to look up all he could get on the car;s owner. He was to treat this as Top Secret.

Victoria denied that there was anything between Eugenio and herself and dismissed this as delusion on Majo's part. Elisa said “I believe you” to her as Majo came in with Fabricio. She announced she had enrolled in the university. Victoria ignored that and demanded to know why she was so impertinent. Fabricio discreetly said he had a lot of things to do at the office and made his exit. He was uncomfortable but would not say why. All three women noticed this. Majo commented on him being her mother's stepson.
Victoria followed Fabricio out. Elisa and Majo talked about her denial and Majo told Elisa that Fabricio was alright when they arrived at the university but was completely different when she came out later. They then went upstairs to see Renata.

Victoria got to Fabricio before he could get into his car. She asked him what was wrong. With difficulty he asked her about his mother. She told him she had not been close to her and that the events around her death had happened rather quickly. Fabricio then backed off, told her not to repeat this conversation to Eugenio, then left. She looked confused.

Elisa and Majo entered Renata's room. Their older sister was in bed but wide awake at seeing them. Elisa declined to answer her cell phone (it was Leo calling) and Renata thanked her for getting her out of the snake pit. She said she would have to learn to live without her baby and Marcelo. Majo told the others that she wanted to stop drinking and needed their help.

Fernanda got home to find that neither Carmen nor Juanito was there. Eugenio was, having swept them out like so much trash. Fernanda demanded to know where they were only to elicit a heavy sweeping blow that almost knocked her to the floor. Eugenio reproached her for ignoring his orders to get rid of them, picked her up by the hair, and knocked her to the floor. He reminded her that she knew the consequences of defiance.

Clara and Leslie talked about their toxic families. Leslie wasn't sure about what would happen to her once her parents were divorced. Clara suggested they put on some makeup and go out. Wehn Leslie started changing her clothes Clara asked her what was really the matter. Leslie finally told her that she didn't want to be like her mother or end up in a relationship like her parents'. “Above all I don't want to be fat.”

Fernanda cried and asked where her mother and son were. Eugenio calmly taunted her, asking whether she wanted to see them again. After having told her he would not tolerate disrespect.

Mario handed the file to José Luis that gave the requested information. Reynaldo Ferrer was married with two children, worked for a tech company owned by his wife, and had no criminal record. The addresses of his home and office were in the file.

Fernanda asked again where her mother and son were. Eugenio told her they were in “a secure location.” To see them again she would have to do what he says. She was to stay close to Fabricio and report everything back to him. She reminded him that Juanito was his grandson. He replied that “That boy should not have been born.” He had given her money for an abortion and she did not have one. He called her a liar and a traitor. Finally, he said that this child is not of his blood and is completely worthless. Like her.

Fabricio closed the door to his office and listened to a voicemail left by Dario. He called him and Dario told him to come to the specified address to find out who his father really was.

Leo went to Adriana's apartment. She was afraid of having lost his friendship, but saw that it was in conflict with her feelings for José Luis. He didn't want to lose hers either, but he was still in love with Elisa.

José Luis went to Reynaldo's block and waited until he came out of the house to walk his dog. He took his pistol out and began following Reynaldo. He pointed his pistol at the back of his head, then changed his mind and turned back. Reynaldo turned around and saw him go back to his car and drive off.

Sonia watched from the top of the stairs as Eugenio greeted Victoria. When they left the parlor she went down the stairs to snoop in Victoria's purse but was nearly caught by the maid, who told her she needed to remain in her room. She said she needed her to draw a bath for her and the maid went to do that. As soon as she was out of the room Sonia grabbed Victoria's purse and took it upstairs.

Eugenio told Victoria he could provide security for her because of her fears, but she wasn't there about that. She told him they couldn't hide their relationship much longer because her daughters suspected it. He seemed to think it was about time to tell them.

Sonia took out Victoria's cell phone and called the police station, looking for Leo. Mario told her to hold. He took down the cell number she was calling from, but the maid returned before Sonia could hide the phone. The maid told her to hand her the phone or she would tell Don Eugenio. She handed over the phone, but 

the maid ratted her out anyway.

Mario called Leo to tell hi that Sonia called from a borrowed cell phone. He gave him the number. After ending the call he told Adriana who said “Our suspicions were correct. She is being held somewhere. First you have to tell Elisa.”

Renata and Elisa talked in the garden. Renata told her she had to talk to Mauricio because he knew everything that was going on in the asylum. The maid came to tell Elisa that Leo was there to see her. She wanted to avoid him but Renata said she needed to talk to him.

Victoria reproached Eugenio for allowing his ex-wife to continue to live in his house while talking marriage with herself. She said “You have to throw her out.” His reply shocked her: “No, I will leave. I will marry you and live with you and your daughters.”

Fabricio arrived at Soledad's house. There he learned that she and his mother were pregnant at the same time and both had been deceived by Eugenio. She asked him if he was going to leave his wife or at least give his name to her son and he hit her. She ended up in the wheelchair.

Majo and Clara talked about their family issues. Clara was less forthcoming about her mother than Majo, but finally said she wasn't interested in dating. Majo asked her if she was afraid to feel. She then moved in closer, stroked her cheek and hair, and kissed her on the lips.

Leo warned Elisa that she would be arrested. He then suggested they escape.
