Imperio de Mentiras Lunes 11/9/20, Chapter 33: Witches' Brew

Please forgive that this is just the facts; no sleep for the last week. Maybe some booze will help. – Dashiell Hammett

Elisa told Leo about spending the night with Renata in her hospital room. He told her about Marcelo's death and the belief that he committed suicide. Further, that Eugenio took Sonia out of the hospital and that now there was no way of corroborating Marcelo's statements about Eugenio's possible involvement in Augusto's murder. Elisa still refused to believe that Eugenio could do this. She thought that he had taken Sonia home for her own benefit.

Fabricio came out to tell Elisa that Renata was asking for her. When she told him about Marcelo he appeared not to care, saying that it was no more than a pain. Leo became irritated with him and then decided to leave. Elisa followed him.

Maria José confronted her mother and Eugenio about their concern over appearances. Victoria told her she was being imprudent. They had been talking about Renata and how things will be worse when she finds out about Marcelo's suicide. She went on about how cowardly this was. Majo asked what was happening to their family. Eugenio scolded her about what this was doing to Victoria. This only provoked Majo to accuse her mother of being solely concerned about appearances. She told her that she should behave like a mother to comfort Renata, which she had never done. She got scolded for this and protested that they expected her to behave as an obedient adolescent.Victoria got on her case about stripping in font of her cell phone, which got Eugenio's attention. He demanded an explanation, but Majo told him he wasn't her father and she owed him no explanation. She left the room. Eugenio then asked Victoria about this. She said she did not know whom she did this for but was very worried. “Majo has not been the same since her kidnapping.”

Leo told Elisa that he was certain that Marcelo did not commit suicide; his death was a contract killing. Before he had a chance to explain this Fabricio appeared to tell her that the prison official said there would have to be an autopsy before they released Marcelo's body. Leo told Elisa this was necessary to determine cause of death and the sooner the better. She nodded her acknowledgement that he was right. He kissed her before going to his car. She looked at Fabricio and asked “How are we going to tell Renata?” Leo watched them return inside. Fabricio had put his arm around Elisa.

Fenanda went to Eugenio's house to see Sonia, who called her out for her fake concern. She accused her of setting a trap. Fernanda lied through her teeth as usual, denying everything and telling Sonia she had to trust her. Sonia then said she needed to talk to Marcelo and Fernanda told her this was not possible.

Dario told Clara that betrayal would lead to no good. He then – backed up by his most reliable goons – told Clara he would put her to the test by demanding that she kill her mother. He laughed at her expression and said he didn't want her living near Leo or his brother. She was to go to Majo and tell her that she and her mother ended up in the streets in order to get back into the Cantú house. He also told her to wipe that look off her face. She caved.

Fernanda did not tell Sonia about Marcelo's fate and said that Eugenio's threats were empty. Fernanda told her she would help her. She would get her out as soon as this was over. Sonia told her she had to get out ASAP because of Eugenio's threats to her life. She then told her she was pregnant and that if the baby wasn't Eugenio's he would kill her. Fernanda looked shocked and Sonia told her she didn't know whose baby it was. Fernanda said she would help her. They hugged. Fernanda looked as though she did not yet know what she would do.

Victoria decided that Renata was not to know about Marcelo's death. Eugenio told her that Elisa knew about the surgery, but didn't know anything that inconvenienced them. He then told her that Sonia was pregnant with Marcelo's child. When Victoria told him he should throw Sonia out into the streets he said he wasn't going to. He would take care of her during her pregnancy and when the baby was born he would give it to Renata as a gift.

Leo reported to his superior about what he knew and was told he had better not screw up. He then told Adriana and Mario that they were going to visit the prison and insist upon seeing the surveillance tapes. He was convinced that Marcelo did not commit suicide. Adriana said the report indicated death by asphyxiation and he was found hanging. Case closed? Leo didn't think so. Mario said someone needed to tell the commandante. “Should you do it or I?”

Victoria and Majo got to the mental hospital before Elisa was able to see Renata. She and Fabricio had not told Renata about Marcelo's death because she was still dealing with the loss of her pregnancy. Elisa confronted Victoria about the surgery and why she hadn't told her about it. Victoria apologized saying Renata was confused and anxious. “I made the decision because your sister was in danger.” Which was pretty much what the doctor had told Elisa. Fabricio said he would deal with the Marcelo problem and Victoria thanked him.

Renata's doctor came out to tell them she she was asleep. Elisa asked if she, Majo, and Victoria could see her. The doctor said they could but said they should let her sleep. Majo insisted they talk first and asked Fabricio to leave them alone.

Leo was told at the prison that he had no authority there. Leo insisted he had authorization to see security tapes, finally citing Marcelo's lawyer in the matter of Marcelo's death. The prison official asked whether he was being accused of something and Leo said he was not. The desk phone began ringing and Leo suggested that this could be the district attorney's office. It was and the call ended in Leo's favor.

Majo told her mother she needed to explain her relationship to Eugenio. She wasn't buying his concern for Renata. Victoria fired back about the stripping and Majo let all the poison out. She spat first at Elisa about not revealing that she had been kidnapped while getting it on with a cop and at Victoria for taking up with their “uncle” three months after the death of her husband. Victoria slapped her for that.

As Eugenio poured his favorite poison Fernanda told him about her meeting with Sonia. She said she didn't think it was the time to tell her of Marcelo's death. Eugenio said she would find out eventually. He asked if Sonia talked about her pregnancy. Fernanda replied that she had, finally saying “She is sure the baby is yours.” Eugenio gave her the eye and asked “And you believed her?” “A mother's instinct never fails” was Fernanda's response. He said that changed everything and would not explain himself. He then dismissed her. She left without another word.

Elisa said that Majo was right; they all live in a sea of lies. She talked about being united to take care of Renata. Victoria said that the one truth was that she loved her daughters. Based on her facial expression, that was another lie.

The prison official handed Leo a flash drive, telling him that he hoped he would use this in collaboration. Leo asked about his involvement and he said he was “obligated” to participate. He would not testify as to who made him without a guarantee of protection. Leo asked whom he needed protection from. The man closed the door to his office.

Teresa was almost caught texting Reynaldo. She then told Sara and Leslie that José Luis had been suspended from the force. She didn't seem to care about this or about how it affected Sara and Leslie.

Nieves tried to apologize to Clara, but Clara said it was too late.

Elisa, Majo, and Victoria entered Renata's room and Elisa touched her knee, saying they were there. She had not been sleeping very soundly, waking up immediately and saying she was glad not to be alone. Majo told her she would never be alone. Renata cried as she said she had lost her baby. She looked at her mother as Elisa said she would be alright. They would help her. Renata asked her mother whether she would help her. Victoria didn't answer; her face was like stone throughout. She looked away from Renata. Elisa and Majo were facing her.

Reynaldo still had not answered Teresa's text messages. She was about to wallow in self-pity when Leslie came into her room. She asked what had been going on between her and José Luis. Teresa said “The same as usual.” After confirming that she was always miserable with her husband she left the room with her purse. She went to a public place where she saw Reynaldo hugging a girl who turned out to be his daughter.

José Luis met with Mario who told him that Leo was getting security tapes from the prison. He started inside. The prison official told Leo that the orders came from Gilberto Tapia just as José Luis walked in without knocking. Leo showed his brother the flash drive and told him that this was why Tapia had tried to stop the investigation. This would get him removed from his position and into prison for the rest of his life. As they were leaving José Luis asked Leo if he knew what he was doing. Leo said he would talk to his superior about this.

Dario looked at the recording of Majo stripping and clutched his side in pain as he got up from the couch. He called her phone saying “I want us to finish what we started. I want you to get naked for me again.” He must not have heard a voice because it was Victoria who had Majo's phone and was asking who was calling. She turned to look at Majo, who was helping Renata get out of bed. Majo realized her mother had her phone and Dario taunted Victoria, saying he'd be happy to identify himself.

Elisa went to the reception area to tell Fabricio that Renata was awake and that they had decided not to tell her yet about Marcelo. He agreed and changed the subject to business. She was not in a frame of mind for that discussion but he said he would take care of things. She hugged him in gratitude and that was when Leo arrived, just in time to see this.

Victoria tried to get tough with Dario but he said “Don't worry ma'am. I don't try to make your daughter do anything she doesn't want to.” As Majo helped Renata to a chair she demanded her cell phone. Dario taunted Victoria once more before ending the call. Majo snatched her phone back from Victoria, who gave her an earful. As she looked at the phone to see who called – not that she didn't suspect Dario – Renata began begging Victoria to bring her home. Victoria couldn't take this and fled the room, leaving Majo to deal with her sister's tears.

Leo was dealing with his jealousy at the sight of Fabricio touching Elisa's face. She broke away from Fabricio to stop Leo from leaving. She said that Fabricio was a friend. Leo didn't challenge that statement despite not completely believing it. He finally told her that the security videos indicated that Marcelo did not commit suicide. That he was murdered by a group of other prisoners who hanged him after he was already dead to make it look like a suicide. They were not sure who the real criminal was. She was so stunned by this she didn't want to hear more. He told her he would get permission for her to see the video if she didn't believe him. She told him she trusted him. He said they would know the truth sooner or later and go on from there.

Reynaldo introduced Teresa to his daughter as “an old friend”. He suggested that they get a bite to eat and Teresa tried to back out. The daughter said she would love to hear about her father's youth, so Teresa accepted the invitation.

With Victoria out of the room, Renata guessed the identity of the caller that had riled her up. Majo told her his name and that she was in love with him. She had tried to leave the relationship but was in love with him. Renata could not understand how she could love someone who hurt her nor could she understand loving Marcelo despite his hurtful behavior. She said that when she got out of the loony bin she would look for him. Majo cried, but said nothing.

Victoria went down to the ground floor and was very displeased at the sight of Leo and Elisa talking. Fabricio prevented her from approaching them and told her that they would soon be arguing because he made Leo jealous. That pleased her.

José Luis started questioning one of the prisoners who attacked Marcelo. He admitted getting paid for it but did not identify who paid. José Luis told him he could get a reduced sentence but he laughed, saying this only happens in the movies. This got no further.

Gilberto Tapia closed all the blinds on his internal windows and locked the office door. He called Eugenio in a desperate attempt to get money immediately so he could leave the country. Eugenio ended the call. Tapia collected some documents and put them into a portfolio. Eugenio called him back, telling him his help had arrived. Tapia ended the call, then took a pistol and out of his drawer and attached a silencer. He returned it to the drawer. He then looked up and opened the door to two of Eugenio's baldest goons.

They entered his office and put a briefcase on the desk. Tapia looked at them, then quickly removed the pistol from his desk. He pointed it at one and the other moved further away from his partner and closer to Tapia.

He overtook Tapia and the two forced him into a chair before forcing the silencer's barrel into the area below his jaw. A moment later there was blood spatter on the ceiling.

One of the goons looked through the blinds to make sure there hadn't been any witnesses. He called Eugenio to report in. Eugenio was pleased and told him to make sure to take Tapia's cell phone.

Like most of the country I got no sleep most of last week. Still recovering.

The dominoes are falling early in this tale and we have to hope that Leo sees the pattern. Fabricio isn't smart enough to figure any of this out; that's why Eugenio is using him.

I don't think Renata is going home anytime soon and I suspect that Victoria is thinking about civil commitment for Majo as well.

Urban

Thank you so much for posting so late. My sleep pattern is all messed up like so many others.

I'm finding this whole novela depressing. It seems to have gone off the rails for me.

Nothing of any consequence send to be happening.

Just give us some more juicy scenes of Leo and Eliza and I'll be happy.

Till later

UA: Good Job on the recap. I'm assuming Tapia got whacked ?

Victoria: Sonia still in danger. I don't think Marcelo offed himself either.

Where have I've seen the actress who portrays Majo before in a previous Telenovela before 🤔

Urban, thanks so much. You might say this is “just the facts” but it still is outstanding. Boy, can I relate to Dashiell’s opening quote. ; )

Victoria, I agree 100% about the novela. Now I am watching more out of curiosity than enjoyment. It is no longer “must see tv”.

I enjoyed mouthing off to her mother and Eugenio after noticing how lovey dovey they were and telling Eugenio to take a hike when he stuck his nose in her “family” business. The slap was worth accusing her mother of having sex with Eugenio barely three months after her father had died.

Oh, no, not another novela where a baby will be stolen from its mother! I have seen too many of these as of late dating from 2003 to earlier this year. Guess it is one of those perennial themes.

It was no surprise that Tapia was disposed of so quickly but Leo is closer to the truth very day.

If men only realized how old the beard growing trend makes them look . . .

Urban, another exceptional recap.

Your screen shots and dialog translations are very much appreciated.

"When Victoria told him he should throw Sonia out into the streets he said he wasn't going to. He would take care of her during her pregnancy and when the baby was born he would give it to Renata as a gift". Because of course nothing says I love you like a freshly stolen child.

The evilness is straining any credulity in this story at this point. I agree that I'm also watching simply to see what happens. Morbid fascination? Guilty.

Jarifa, I also enjoyed Majo giving Victoria some verbal bad medicine. Vicky deserves slithering with the snakes in whatever pit she ends up in after her life on earth comes to an end. Which I hope it does soon.

Please correct me if I'm wrong but did Fer tell Ewww that Sonia says the baby is his to help Sonia? Not that he cares but I'm wondering if there is a sliver of humanity left in Fer.

There is so much hatred, loathing and evil, will there be anyone salvaged? Anyone left standing?

When the only couple in a seemingly loving relationship is Rey and Teresa, hope is fading. Fast.

Urban, thank you!

Diana

Thanks Urban.
Well, at least GillyTap's nightmare of going to prison for life was avoided. Oh well, now does this mean JL is no longer on suspension? I would assume as much, so JL go in there with the fellas replacing those ceiling tiles and get your gun and badge back and get back to work. Shoot! You could even investigate his murder. His last act on earth may have been a gift to justice.

And Oh how I wish MoJo had reared back and slapped Vic-ious into next episode. The girl looks to be in good shape, I betcha she could have slapped Vic DOWN. I liked the way she tried to put Ewww into his place also. I suppose I just have a soft spot for strippers. :-)

And when oh when, will the nookie afterglow wear off of Leo's blinders and let him see what a piece of shit he is smooching on and following around ? Leo was she your first? Oh, forgot about Julia, well, I hate to ask, but are you sure it was yours?

And I noticed another thing last night.
We saw one of the few times when the Can'tDo girls were alone. Almost every scene with any of the Can'tDos, there is always an orbiter in the room or nearby. Ewww almost lives there now, Fabricio seems to be able to fly and leap tall buildings to get here and there in a flash like Superman, and how many FerNasties are there? That little bitch is everywhere. Do all these clowns live on the same street?

And when Leo saw E-Lies-A (lot) and Fab Poodle standing pelvis to pelvis arms around each other, his puppy instincts should have taken over. He should have trotted up, raised a leg and marked his territory again. At least then E-Lies-a would have to discard that goofy THING she apparently wore all weekend. :-)

We know that Marcelo didn't commit suicide.

Alejandra Robles Gil was in a number of novelas already. I don't remember her, though.

Tapia seems to have been whacked. The only thing that gives me pause is that they didn't show his dead body. If we don't see him dead in tonight's episode we need to remind ourselves of the Golden Rule: If we don't see the body, the victim is likely undead.

This could definitely include a stolen baby, which is another standard novela trope. The big question now is when Renata will hear the truth about Marcelo. She will go nutters big time when that happens.

Hard to call the question about Fernanda. She seemed to have been caught in a rare act of maternity when Fabricio showed up at her place unexpectedly. As it was pointed out the writers seem to have done an about-face recently on some of the characters. She knows what a dangerous creep Eugenio is and that he is a misogynist to boot. She may just be wanting to really stick it to him in whatever way she can.

Urban, thank you so much for giving us a great recap of all the evil.

I go by the visuals since I do not understand the dialogue , and Fern did actually look moved by Sonia as they hugged it out . Speaking of Sonia...wow...what a miraculous recovery .

The other unsettling visual was Bad Cop slowly closing those blinds and locking the door. Then I saw the two big guys in the office with him . That was confusing . ..and the struggle with the gun . Well, this whole show is confusing to me.

Kirby..yes, I noticed justfriends Elies-a and I'mFab "pelvis to pelvis" as Leo looked on as confused as I was . I like Elies-a jacket , but everyone is allowed an opinion .

Diana, yes, Rey and Terri seem to be the only people in a loving relationship. That's a twist.

I have no idea where this is going, but I still appreciate the distraction from the real world right now , so I am staying on this ride. Buckle up .

Sunny day here. Stay safe and well.

Urban, your "just the facts" was excellent, thank you!

I'd just like to ditto everyone's comments, especially those that allude to the fizzling out of the show. I join the table of "morbid fascination" (thanks, Diana!)

Kirby, "And Oh how I wish MoJo had reared back and slapped Vic-ious into next episode." Oh that would have been nice to see! Majo earned some points during this episode, but she still has a long way to go.

If Gilly is alive, I will be super surprised. It seems that the directors are sparing us from having to "see dead people." And I don't have a problem with that! I just wish we could get a handle on who is good and who is bad!

"Diana, yes, Rey and Terri seem to be the only people in a loving relationship. That's a twist."

Um....they are actually in a foursome relationship, two of which do not know they are participating in this 4-way relationship.

When the other two participants discover all, they may cancel out all that Luuuurve. :-)

RGV Chick, this would be very inconsistent of Televisa to spare us the sight of dead bodies after the blood in the early episodes and a whole medical series with graphic visuals of surgeries.

I think that it would be out of character for Majo to slap her mother, at least right now. She has been seriously weakened by everything that's happened since the first episode. She may never get better even with the best shrink.

The confusion between good and evil is characteristic of this producer's work. We should also expect an ambiguous or tragic ending in view also of this coming from a Turkish original.

Aw Man, OK, we didn't see the bullet exit GillyTaps head, bringing a few shards of grey matter with it. We saw him completely overpowered by two jumbo dumbo goons placing his pistol under his chin and the subsequent blood spatter on the ceiling.

OK they might have (knowing THIS show) taken a short break, whipped out a couple of over salsa'd tacos, and flung some salsa onto the acoustic ceiling while chomping them down, but it sure looked to me like they blew his brains out.

I am going with that, hopeoing that it will catch on.

ITA that they blew his brains out. They were sent to execute him.

One thing I was glad to hear some-
Body say and that was Elies-alot.
She said "we are swimming in a sea
Of lies". Its good to hear one of the liars say it.

Eww is a piece of.....something. He
Wants to take the baby away from so
He can give the bab to renanta.
Which means he don't believe the baby is his or he dont think a
Baby from her is worthy of him. Yes
Hes just that pompous. He thinks hes better than fabulous n darling
Dario. I think the only way he would want any child from his body would If he got himself pregnant. Yeah he's Just that twisted.

And yeah I'm thinking That the gil is dead. His usefulness has come to an end. Like justin n augy. Ok back to work. More later.

Thanks Urban stay safe patio.

Yeah, you have to wonder what ole Gilly THOUGHT he was getting out of the deal initially. I suppose we may never know, now. I had assumed all along it was strictly like most corrupt Law Enforcement, just for gobs more money than he could ever make honestly. But we never saw him living extravagantly of flaunting his money, so we just do not know for sure, for sure.

But he probably was in it for the money. Hmm, now that he is no longer on the payroll, I wonder where that money is, and can Ewww get his money back? If I were paying off some clown I'd sure want it set up where if he didn't make it, (as I would assure that he didn't) I had access to the money and could recover it. I mean that is what it is all about anyway, well, except for that Grand Prize Vic.ious.

But I suppose these things are complicated, and sometimes you just can't run everything according to plan.

What else does anyone want apart from DINERO?

Many cops go corrupt because their pay isn't enough. This is most common among narcs in the US and some get seduced into the Mob. I have a friend who believes that all police are corrupt.

Sonia's days are numbered no matter who sired that baby. However who else is willing to believe that if the baby is Marcelo's spawn Eugenio will give it to Renata and arrange its death shortly thereafter in order to torture both her and Sonia before murdering them? That is who he is.

Thank you, Urban, sleep deprivation is doing wonders for your writing. As someone who has been sleep deprived for many years (because of work and my kids), I can sympathize.

I noticed that close hug between Eliesa and the Poodle, too. Nevermind that she has a boyfriend, but doesn't Eliesa mind getting Fer's sloppy seconds?

Jarifa, I agree with you that Majo is onto the two lovey doveys big time. And so is Renata. The only one oblivious to everything is Eliesa, who is the less traumatized, in a so called commited relationship. She must be that dumb!

Diana, I am wondering about Fer's reaction, too. everything she has done so far has been vicious, but I could not always get her point. Likenot telling Eww that Marcelo was the secret lover until he was able to find out on his own. Or sleeping in the same bed as the child she despises. When she hugged Sonia I could see her wheels turning, trying to figure out how to take advantage of the situation.

Everybody knows that Renata lost her baby, so a real baby switch wouldn't be possible. If Sonia died I guess Renata could adopt, but what would be her motivation (aside from her desperation to be a mom)? If the baby turns out to be Marc's and she wants to have a piece of him, that baby's life will forever be in danger with Eww around.

Nina, you mention that Gil is no longer useful. This makes me wonder who else Eww is counting on to help him be one step ahead of the police. For all we know Adriana, Mario or JL couldend up corrupt also. As someone else said, some of these people are getting characters transplants, so I guess we'll see.

I, for one, am still enjoying the novela. It's not very smart and it barely makes any sense right now, but it gives us something to talk about, snark at and generally mock. What more could I wish?

Adrian, yes,the crazier the show is , the more fun it is to talk about it . We have always loved to mock here on the patio. Perhaps having a place to release the snark keeps us more civil and courteous out in tbe real world.....maybe.

Adriana Noel, I think I wondered early on if JL was above board. And, it's not (just)the hideous hair and beard (which lead credence), but some of his stares have been deep and penetrating.

And as no one here seems particularly astute,it has given me pause more than once.

I know Theresa and Rey are married. To others. And honestly Kirby, I can't believe I'm saying this but I am not objecting, at least at the moment. We haven't seen Rey's wife and I don't like or trust JL.

"It seems that the directors are sparing us from having to "see dead people." And I don't have a problem with that!" Me neither Rgv Chick. I kept thinking cleaning that office will be a hellish nightmare for the cleaning crew, but good riddance. He will not be missed.

Nina, Eugenio is very "pompous", isn't he? Another unflattering term for Satan's spawn.

Susanlynn, I'm in this for the patio! So much fun here. I'm in it to watch hot Leo too, but let's not quibble :)

Diana

Diana, i am with you . Leo is not the sharpest tack in this box, but he is decent and kind unlike everyone else swimming in the sea of lies. At tbe beginning, JL seemed to be a very good guy enduring life with an unpleasant wife . He was even shot in the line of duty . However, now tbe writers are giving us a very different impression of him. First, they showed him forcing himsekf on Terri. Then, they teased us eith the possibility that he might be moving sofas with Adriana.

.....juls & augy.

" they showed him forcing himself on Terri."
Yeppers, getting shot in the line of duty is pretty noble, but doing 'The Frog', there is a limit how much a man can be expected to give. He has my respect. :-)

When ren looked at her mother and ask if she would help her, could it be that vic-ious is feeling a twang of Guiltiness? And then she goes down stairs and plots with poodle
Boy to make leo jealous, and he was but I dont think as much as he want
Him to be. I find curlylocks very
Annoying. Hes like a knat that keep
Buzzing around. Leo is gonna swat his curls out. And leo may have to
Let el go to really get down and dirty to get to the truth, and that
Means exposing her beloved tio for
The lying raping murdering sadistic
Narcissistic abusive deadbeat daddy that he is. With bad hair.

If yall can at all figure out what
Dario is all about, I'd like to know. Cuz he is a Enigma right now.
A bold one. Hes talking to vicky
And dont care what he says. The boy
Got balls. Where is this story going?

I'm gonna keep watching so I can see what the end's gonna be.
Endgame.

Thanks, UA! I won't be able to catch up until tomorrow, but as usual your recaps make me feel like I was there.

I'm just in it for the clothes.

Blue Lass...ha...the clothes are interesting . I guess the wardrobe department is trying to give us clues about the people in them .i think Leo is the wardrobe department's favorite. I recently heard someone on HGTV describe her town as " like a pretty girl who doesnt know sbe is pretty. " Maybe Leo is a goodlooking guy who doesnt know he is goodlooking.

Hey wait a minute. Vic.ious does not want Leo on the premises and is openly antagonistic toward him.

Leo should be on the offensive and accusing Vic.ious' husband of knocking up his girlfriend.
And his replacment girlfriend's Father of knocking up his former girlfriend.

So what if he knows it is not true, or hopes it is not true. And so what if they ae pretty sure it is not true, two can play that game. You will never win if you play by all the rules and they have no rules.

Fight fire with fire. If they want to play dirty, play dirtier. Like when a few years ago when Toyota got into NASCAR and people wondered how they would do. The stock answer was 'Not very good at first, because they don't know how to cheat yet."

And thinking of JL:
Jarifa you are right about beards. Very few men can pull it off nicely. Usually fairly young or old men with solid color or white beards look the best.

In between, a scraggely greying beard always looks unkept. I don't have enough self discipline to not wonder if there are crumbs or insects in there. Even in real life it is always on the periphery, half watching for movement or a clue about lunch. I mean I don't hop over there and start examining, like a chimp grooming another, but I just always wonder if shaving is that much of a chore to some people.

I completely agree that JL's beard makes him look older. Would you also believe that as of 1998 US Presidents are forbidden to have beards?

See this answer on Quora about whether women find beards atractive.

JL is too careless of his appearance.

Lol,Kirby that is hilarious, "half
Watching for movement or looking for clues about lunch". That was so funny. And they can be so nasty. How can they eat with the hair yuck their mouth. Ok Stop before I make myself sick.
Jl's beard makes him look like a dirty ol man. And him jumpin his wife's bones didn't help his case either.

Is anybody watching the new tn at 8
O'clock? It looks like it could be a good one. On uni?

.... and theres only 20 episodes.

Vencer el desamor.

OT
Nina, “Vencer el Desamor” is being discussed on the Primetime page.
