No! I had to go to the post office and missed most of the first hour when there actually seemed to be some movement in this thing.

How did Cumache get whipped across the face?

Isabel got an earful about the role of Atilio in the death of her lover.

FINALLY, Lucrecia is talking but not enough yet.

Why isn‘t everybody out looking for the baby in the jungle instead of sitting and wringing their hands? The police conducted a pretty weak search.

Okay, Chachi and the contaminated cup didn’t kill anyone so she is cleared by the law but isn’t the sin in the intention? Didn’t she want her dead? I confess to not watching very carefully so I could be wrong on that one and others . . .

Carol seems happy with the way she has set everyone up. I would love for her to walk away in the end as a very wealthy woman having played both sides.

Thank goodness that Lola found Isidro as he was going to sacrifice himself in his final and fatal shape shift to find the baby.

Literally, Iggy got the old knife in the back

Atilio was willing to shoot Marcia for the baby, his grandson. So where is Marcia since Atilio isn’t saying? Six feet under?

Really? Mariana acts surprised by Atilio’s confession??? Give me a break. I do have to say that César Évora has done an outstanding job as “Atilio”.

 

Oh Jarifa, thanks for the commentary on what you did see. I missed the first few minutes, but I watched most of the first hour. When I started watching, Iggy was handing the baby to Mariana (at the hospital).

Marcia did drug Lucrecia to keep her from talking, but Camilo did a blood test and found that she had been drugged. He supposedly gave her something to clean up her blood and she started talking shortly after. I have to admire whoever is taking care of this semi-comatose lady and still putting make-up on her!

Cumache went to tell Marcia that Ati was very upset that he was left all alone in jail (WAHH!). She told him he was useless because he always botched up everything and did nothing. He then told her that if it weren't for him, Iggy would never have r set eyes on her...so-o WHACK!! with the whip. LAter Cumache went to see Ivan and told him that he was tired of being Ati's and Marcia's faithful dog...and he started to get a conscience after he killed the priest!

BARF!!! Chachi is redeemed????? QTH??? Even when she is supposedly sincere, the girl has a sinister look. And the dumb JRamon who was after Mariana is now deeply in love with Chachi and asked for her hand in marriage! BARF! BARF! BARF!

And once again, Baby Iggy was left all alone on the bed after Mariana took him home with her. MaLola had just entered through the window to see him when Marcia (very easily) entered the bedroom and took the baby. MaLola followed her into the forest but when she confronted Marcia, MaLola fell and hurt her foot. After HOURs passed NO ONE noticed the baby was missing until Mariana returned home from her day at the mine (I suppose).

Did I miss something?? When and how did Ati get out of jail? Did he draw that Monopoly card???

"Really? Mariana acts surprised by Atilio’s confession??? Give me a break." I couldn't have said it better.

OOPS forgot to put "MARIANA" up above. And BTW, Andy, you were right! Futbol IS scheduled for Tuesday-Thursday! WAAHHHH!!!

Thanks, RgvChick, now it all makes sense. The big change in Chachi is not believable at all. The triple BARF is well deserved!

I have to wonder about the engineer's mental state, but maybe the guy is just desperate to get married. He didn't waste any time transferring his affection from Mariana to Chachi. Maybe they should get married, have a very, very fine house, invite Ma Lola to live with them, and they can all raise some crazy kids.
And I agree that Chachi still looks sinister. Let's hope for the best, but it seems suspicious that her new novio is called away at just this time.

How convenient for her that the virus takes days to develop into illness.

Things are certainly moving fast right now.

Something that I have always found hard to believe is that Isabel did not suspect Atilio of involvement in the death of her novio.

Whoa! Here's another thing, Camilo examines blood cells with a microscope to determine that Lucrcia was drugged with "calmantes"? Please, not really...

Oh, well, now to find Marcia and the baby.

Another odd thing in this novela with so many odd things is Cumache's turnaround. Did this just happen in the blink of an eye? Maybe that wig spoke to him somehow.

A lot of jumps lately, so I have to wonder if they are doing the old cut and splice. After all these fútbol interruptions I'm not sure we can safely say where we are in terms of episode numbers, but we are getting close and I want to see what happens with Atilio.

I have been wondering for quite some time now if it would be Isabel who would drop an anvil on him. It would be just, and I don't think that Iggy Daddy should be done in by Iggy. Nor by Mariana. So Isabel or Lucrecia, I think.

But the big question is who, if anybody, gets Ruth. What happened to Max and her other suitor?

Andy: I busted out laughing when Marcia cracked that whip across Cumache the dog.

Engineer Dude is flat out STUPID because he's with Crazy Whacky Chachi. I hope he doesn't get a special "refreshment" that Itzel got.

RGV Chick: Atilio put Marcia in her place by firing that gun in the air. At least he got the baby back.

Jarifa: Expecting Atilio to kidnap Mariana at some point in the closing stretch. Ivan might want to watch his back as Carol is plotting something....

Jarifa, Rgv Chickie, and Steve, thank you for your comments! I'm also grateful for some extra time thanks to fútbol.

I had been a bit puzzled by some of the comments, especially about Atilio and firing in the air. I didn't remember that or several other things. Maybe I just kept my finger down on the FFWD button a little too long at some points???

NOPE! I completely missed the second hour. I record this show and watch later. I went back to check and, sure enough, at the end of the first hour they rolled the end credits. That's my cue to stop the playback.

They tricked me! They don't ordinarily show end credits at the end of the first episode, just at the conclusion of the two episodes.

I wasn't paying attention to time so I didn't realize it was only the half-way point and I never saw the second hour. But I will now.

I have to laugh now because I do remember thinking, "Gee, that seemed to go fairly quickly."

The laugh was on me.

LOL, Andy, I was kinda surprised with the showing of the end credits for the first episode; I thought maybe Unimas was only going to show one episode. Good thing I didn't switch to another channel :-)

Now that I have watched the second hour :-)
I must say that things are getting resolved very quickly. Very quickly. I wouldn't be surprised to see this novela finish up soon, possibly even Friday.

A little snip here, a little splice there, done!
