Re: Angelita's parentage, Patricio certainly *thought* he was her father, as he kept referring to her as "your sister" when talking to Leonel. I believe someone said that Leo hadn't set foot on the hacienda in 10 years and the kid looks about 7, but who knows? It would be an interesting wrinkle if she were his...let's keep our eyes open for "blood transfusion," "DNA test," or "organ donation."

I'm also interested in the possibility of Mateo and Leo being brothers. Obviously Leo is older, so does that mean Pat's thing with Esme was *after* Minerva but *before* Sabina? If so, why was that such a terrible time to have a kid? So bad he felt the need to LIE TO HIS MOTHER THAT HE HAD DIED?

Also, Dalia said she got Mateo when he was 4 years old, so where was he until then? Guess we'll be hearing more...

Let's see how far Jackass #2 Camilo will get into making life miserable for everyone especially Santiago & Aurora.


 

"MEPS" Recap:

1.) Erika telling her parents that Franco is her future & they're curious as to why she ended her relationship with Jackass #2 Camilo (the flashbacks tell us why).

2.) Erika's parents have no clue what Jackass #2 Camilo did to her (beating her violently, etc.,)

3.) Psycho Barbara still upping the ante even further aggressively against poor Liliana. I'm surprised she hasn't killed Liliana yet.

4.) Gardenia still ANNOYING: OMG can somebody knock this idiot up ?

5.) Jackass #1 Annibal still being all uppity with Priscilla. This jackass has no clue his wife cheated on his STUPID ass & I'm going to be looking forward to seeing his epic Karma anvil soon.

6.) Eduardo/Franco, Esteve, Jacinto & Co., plotting strategy on how to take down Psycho Barbara & Co.,

7.) Santiago & Aurora: what could possibly go wrong ?

8.) When I last checked before Unvision broke into regular programming yesterday morning, Dominga was beating on Aurora back in Purification.

9.) Dumb Fernanda is still DUMB & stupid. This lovely Redhead means well, but she trusts the WRONG people (clearing throat: Damian).

10.) I know the Body Count will increase again in this Telenovela as from what I've heard the Colombian original was super cutthroat.

11.) Daddy Elizalde still has no idea his 2nd wife is a psychopath & murderer.

12.) Where is Lovely Norton ?

I don't think that the flashback to Leonel's affair with Sabina necessarily took place at the hacienda. Nor was there anything to indicate the timeline. Could be the writers are playing headgames with the audience.

Still trying to get all the characters straight. Kissing scene with Mateo in the "show" modeling session was going so well until Leo busted in.

Aaaand we have a new category for our telenovela Bingo cards: Hiding under a tarp in fiance's jeep while wearing only a bath towel.

Leo is such a jerk. Is there a polite Spanish word for that? I only know of "boludo" which is not polite, at all. Why hasn't Val dumped him yet???

Gratuitous shower scene with Mateo was nice. LOL

I wish they'd made the mayor's 3 (so far) ladies look a little less alike. It wasn't until today I realized that current wife is not the same person as mother-of-daughters wife. Couldn't they give one of them highlights or something?

I'd take that dapple gray over any of the dudes in El Rosario. And I'd obviously have no competition from Val.

I recorded this week's Quererlo Todo and have started to look at it. Nice enough, and horsies! But not for me, I think. I'll watch some more to see, but what I have seen so far is as off-putting as it is interesting and it seems to me to be eye candy deficient; no Patricia Navidad or Ana Brenda Contreras in this oat burner.

The ladies here might fare better, maybe. (Seriously, if a shirtless Danilo Carrera speeds up your heart rate I think you need to get out more, Covid not withstanding.)
Oddly enough there might be hope for you, just maybe. Juan Ángel Esparza, who plays Father Gabriel played a ranch foreman in Mi adorable maldición (2017). This was the first telenovela that I watched after a 10 year hiatus and I remember thinking that TNs had really improved a lot in terms of production values.
Anyway, in one scene he is in his room and takes off his shirt getting ready to take a shower. I thought "Wow, this guy must really work out a lot!" I didn't think any more about it until perhaps the third time he went shirtless, lifting bales of hay or something, when I finally realized "Beefcake!"
I burst out laughing and it was a good thing I wasn't drinking something at the time as I'm sure it would have sprayed out my nose.

He's three years older now, and 47 according to Wikipedia, and playing a priest, so maybe, maybe not.

Some others in the cast made me smile. Scarlet Gruber is reunited with her then feisty mother-in-law from Sin tu Mirada. And Ignacio Guadalupe seems to be in just about everything I watch for some reason.

Doris, thanks for asking! I am occasionally watching without recording Yo soy Betty, la fea which is a real treat. I can understand how this novela was so popular. And maybe I can catch up with recorded episodes of other novelas that I haven't had a chance to watch yet.

Good Morning from the Alamo City Caray Caray family. Here's my short recap on yesterday's episode.

TF, Andy, RGV Chick & Co., hoping you're staying safe out there.

1.) Silvestre acting like an uppity jackass at his rampaged house.

2.) Martina tries to explain to her annoying father what's going on in her life.

3.) Silvestre continues to scold Martina as a stripper, prostitute (referring to her secret job).

4.) Over at the Elizalde Mansion, Psycho Barbara & Damian get their aggressive freak on over in the secluded backshed.

5.) Dumb Fernanda & Daddy Elizalde both have no clue.

6.) Dumb Fernanda speaks with Jacinto about the letters from Eduardo. Jacinto tries to disaude her from finding out Soledad had prevented her from seeing the letters Eduardo wrote to Dumb Fernanda.

7.) As soon as Dumb Fernanda leaves, Jacinto talks to himself.

8.) Martina tells Silvestre she's been working at the mental institution clinic & being close friends with Liliana.

9.) While they're slowly reconciling, Psycho Barbara's thugs show up to threaten & kill them before Franco shows up.

10.) Nightclub owner points his gun at Franco, who aggressively roughs him up & takes the bullets out of the gun. Limo Dude calmly wants no more chaos after that & both Nightclub owner & Limo Dude leave.

11.) Franco, Martina & Silvestre talk.

12.) Over at Erika's parents' house: Jackass #2 Camilo shows up & teases a bombshell regarding Franco's true identity.
 

Quererlo todo

I watched two episodes and enjoyed them. Spending so much time on Telemundo has made me miss rancho novelas.

AND, I watched all of Alborada once more. It was interesting to see two characters from that one: the evil Francisco as Patricio, the recently deceased owner of the hacienda and the guy who played Felipe, Luis' bestie in Alborada as Patricio's bestie and doctor in the new one. They both certainly looked a lot older.

So far I like QT and will probably stick around. But I spent a LOT of time googling the cast of characters because of having seen so many in other Uni novelas.

I'm enjoying this one but I have to say that while I find Lorenzo annoying the beating he took in Friday's episode was disgusting and I hope that the men who did it suffer big time. Esmeralda should have found a better solution for hiding the missing cash. It looks like almost everyone in that town will be looking for it. Greedy sods.
