Elisa held Majo's injured area but the blood was pooling at her side. Elisa began screaming for Leo.

Eugenio was on the phone with one of the shooters berating his ineptitude. He ordered them to return or be killed. Fabricio appeared behind him and reacted in shock. He told Eugenio to cancel the hit on Leo because Elisa and Majo were on their way there. Eugenio told them to ignore previous orders and meet him at the bodega. He asked Fabricio how he knew and Fabricio told him what Fernanda had overheard at the office. He called Elisa's phone but she did not answer. Eugenio told him that his orders had already been carried out. “What did you do, Papa?”

Leo came inside, telling Elisa that the police and an ambulance were on the way. She asked what this was all about, but he said he did not know. The ambulance siren became louder and Leo yelled “Here! Here!” from the front door.

Eugenio told Christina to get to Leo's house while Dario was unable to get Fabricio on the phone. He tried once more. Fabricio looked at his phone and stepped away, saying it was the office. He answered that he never wanted to speak to him again.

Dario was looking for dinero He had given him an account number and the amount he demanded. Fabricio said he didn't have any, but Dario was insistent. Finally he called him a traitor and ended the call. Dario had to return the phone to the guard who threatened him with a communal cell if he didn't behave himself.

Adriana was trying to explain herself to Mario when his cell rang. He answered, listened, and said “On my way.” He told Adriana that there had been an attack at Leo's house and someone had been hurt. They left.

Fernanda's calls were also being ignored by Fabricio. She left the nth voice mail and sighed. She then got a call from the women's prison. She was to press 1 to accept it.

Victoria and Renata talked about Victoria's upcoming wedding. Renata asked her if she loved him and Victoria gave her the standard “At my age we look for companionship” line. “So, therefore, you're not in love with my uncle Eugenio?” “Well, after all he's done for us, and especially for you...” Renata should have had a complete psychotic break from that. Instead she cried saying she could not stop thinking of her father and how things used to be. Victoria then told her about the $10MM life insurance pollicy and what sort of a man that made him.

Leo wanted to accompany Majo and Elisa to the hospital but Elisa told him the only thing se wanted him to do was to find out who did this. Elisa got into the ambulance and it pulled out just as Mario and Adriana arrived. He told them that Elisa blames José Luis for this and he personally holds Fabricio and Eugenio responsible.
Adriana told him to protect Elisa because Eugenio was capable of anything. He told them that Elisa blamed José Luis for it all and has not accepted that Eugenio could be the mastermind.

Fernanda visited Sonia in prison. Sonia asked why she lied about Eugenio and Fernanda reminded her that you can't betray him. Sonia was willing to do tie for whatever wrong she had done, but would not be willing to give up her baby. She then had a pain which must have been a contraction. Fernanda yelled for the guard. Sonia said “This can't be happening.” The guard came, but Sonia did not reveal her fears. She then said that Eugenio offered her freedom in exchange for the baby. She begged Fernanda to help her, but Fernanda refused out of fear. Sonia also mentioned her mother and the usual “I'm sure you understand.”

Sara came home to find police and crime scene tape all over it. She calmed a little when she saw her uninjured son, who told her, Leslie, and Teresa to go over to Clara for now. As they left his cell rang.
The last person he ever needed asked if his family was alright and he said so. She asked if anyone was hurt and he told her it was Majo. She asked about Elisa and he told her that Elisa was alright. She looked disappointed, which he couldn't see. She said she could be there in five minutes. He told her that Adriana and Mario were there and he would talk to her later. He ended the call.

She went to an officer Ortiz to requests reports on emergency services to Leo's house. He got up to do that and her cell rang.

Piedad visited Dario, who lived for getting out He told her he needed the money hidden in her house. She shushed him and said this would be impossible. He told her that Eugenio threatened Majo and the baby. She swore he would pay for every pain he had brought them.

Christina spoke to Eugenio. She told him about Majo ad Elisa. He wanted to know what hospital they were in, she said she was finding out and asked why he did this. “Because neither you nor his brother could control him.” He told her he was getting too close. He ended the call and had to tell Fabricio that Majo was injured. Fabricio asked what hospital and he said they'd go later. Then Eugenio asked whom he talked to a short while ago. “Dario?”

Renata went to the office to talk to an unwilling Fernanda. She got to the point: “What were you to my father to get ten million dollars? He must have really trusted you and told you many things.”

“Renata, listen to me --”

Renata dragged her out of her office and past a few employees.

Majo was conscious and Elisa was at her side as she was taken to the ER. Elisa was gently pushed out into the corridor.
She called Victoria to tell her about Majo. She could not believe it and Elisa said she would explain when she got there. The maid returned with tea. Victoria told her where she was going and not to tell Renata.,

Leo shot video in all the rooms. Adriana had not been able to get much from the neighbors other than the shooters had a black car and one walked away wounded. She said he should be with Elisa while she and Mario took care of things at the crime scene. He explained that Elisa didn't want him there and he didn't want to risk her and her family's lives. He explained about Eugenio and Adriana said that if thiswas the case they would get him because an attack on a cop provokes the whole force. Whoever thought an experienced cop like her could be so naïve. She encouraged him to go. She would help him. He needed to fight for Elisa.

The preying mantis was already there continuing to gaslight Elisa. “Don't you know this is Dario and José Luis'; revenge?” she said. “I can imagine how you feel. Think, Elisa. Think about what happened. Because if you want to avoid ruin, you will have to stay away from Leonardo. If you keep fighting this organization you and your family will always be in danger.” Elisa tried to get her to bugger off but as she almost sashayed out with her usual smug expression Christina turned around and said :”Nevermore did I want you to know something. These guys want to hurt you. They want revenge on Leonardo. If you had taken my advice your sister would not be dying.”

Clara told Leslie she would die if Kajo did. Her whole family was gone, Leslie would soon be, and it was all more than she could take. Leslie told her she wouldn't have to be alone; there would always be someone to love her. She didn't know whom, but she could feel it. Black is a bad color to wear for such a conversation. They heard Teresa's phone.

Teresa went into a farther room to take José Luis' call. He insisted on talking to Leslie. Teesa tikd him that wasn't possible because Leslie was upset. She described the shooting and he was initially shocked. He said he would try to find out what he could. He said to take care of Leslie and she brought up the money. She said she would return the money if necessary and he told her to shut up about it. “Nobody knows you have this money,” he said. “It's about something else. Only tell Leo what you are supposed to know” She told him where they were. He ended the call and whispered one word to himself: Eugenio.

Leslie realized that her parents had been talking. Teresa said he would be investigating and that Leo was right that they would be safer with Clara. She hugged her.

Renata said she wanted to know Why. “Why did my father trust you so much to leave you this much money? You were very important to him, weren't you? Why did he make you his lover? What about my mother?”

“What happened with your mothe is that he was suffocating. He had a living death with her because of her demands. Your mother wouldn't leave him alone. She was ambitious. Know why I was his lover? Because in the midst of all this he felt alone. I was the only one who would listen to him and understand him.”

“And what about us?

“He loved you.”

“Me? no. He never demonstrated anything but shame for me.”

“How many times would I have to say he wanted only the best for you? Do you know how much I wished I had a father like yours? Who took care of you and worried about you? Why did he let you marry a pelele like Marcelo? He wanted you to be happy. He loved you and you always rejected him.”

“What happened that night? What happened on Elisa's birthday? Did my father tell you anything special why he was found with Leo's fiancée? Why did everyone think they were lovers?”

“Julia never was his lover.”

“Why not? Why you, you damned liar. Viper. What else do you know about my father?”

José Luis gave Christina hell for going to his home. She said this was about Leo and it won't happen again. He told her it better not because “If I hear you've hurt any of my family I will tell the entire truth.” He hung up.

He met Dario on the way back to his cell. Dario said something about Eugenio and José Luis told him what had just happened. Dario lost it. He went to a guard and started wrestling his club from him.

Fernanda explained that that night Julia was marked because she was demanding payment for the pieces that came through New York. That was the end. Renata asked why her father had been killed. Fernanda said she didn't know. She was not there and only the killer would know.

Victoria arrived at the hospital and Elisa started to explain. Leo and Adriana arrived, provoking Victoria's usual wrath and delusional air of superiority. She blamed him and demanded to know why they were not investigating this. Adriana calmly told her they were doing that. In fact, she had questions for her. She directed Victoria away from Elisa. Leo asked Elisa about Mao, but Elisa has no information and was also likely still stinging from Christina's earlier venom. She tried telling him to leave but before she could due so in a calm voice the doctor came out with news. Majo had lost a lot of blood because the bullet hit in her belly. They were not able to save her pregnancy. Majo was stable and he would contact them in the event of any changes.

Elisa and Victoria cried. Leo told them he was sorry. Then Eugenio and Fabricio arrived. Eugenio gave him a hostile look. Elisa told Leo to leave. Victoria and Eugenio got nastier. Adriana suggested to Leo that they go. Victoria got nastier again. Leo told Elisa that whatever happens he still loved her. He left with Adriana, looking over his shoulder to see Fabricio twisting the knife in a bit deeper.

This was immediately followed with insincere statements by both Fabricio and Eugenio like “This will be over very soon, I promise.” Victoria looked like she didn't believe this.

Dario had a guard on the ground and in a choke hold. José Luis got to him and made hi release the guard, thereby avoiding a riot. This could have gotten him a month in solitary. Dario asked about Majo and the baby. José Luis told him not to worry; he could find out for him. Dario told him that he was sure it was Eugenio and that he and Fabricio were working to take him down but Fabricio betrayed him. José Luis told him that Leo was the target of the attack; Elisa and Majo were just in the way. Dario was worried about his mother who he had told that anyone who hurt Majo or the baby would pay. Both had to worry about their families while they were locked up and unable to protect them.

Renata cried, thinking that Marcelo had never been happy with her and she took it out on her father. Fernanda said that it must be difficult facing the upcoming marriage of her mother and Eugenio. Renata sat down and cried. She asked more questions. Fernanda told her “Your father was the only person who ever worried about me.”

“So, why did you kill him?” She stared. “Only the killer knows,, right?”

“But you yourself just said that things get dangerous when they don't go your way, didn't you? That your father was ashamed of you and he hurt you very much? And nobody forgets that you have a mental problem. You have more motive to kill him than I do.”

Elisa asked Victoria is Renata was home with the maid. Victoria took out her cell. Elisa was sure Renata would take the news very badly. Victoria walked away to make the call. Eugenio put his phone away as he approached Elisa, saying that the men who did this will face “the ultimate consequences.” He sai he spoke to the prosecutor's office and they would give this all their attention. He went on about how anyone could do such a thing. Victoria came back saying that Renata was not at home and Marta didn't know where she could be. Elisa began calling Renata's phone.

She answered, telling Elisa she was at the office, talking to Fernanda. Elisa said sshe had no reason to; Renata repled “You'd be surpised at how much I ha to talk about with her.”

“Renata, you need to listen to me...”

She managed not to reveal the details and persuade Renata to take a cab to Hospital San Diego. Renata sais she would get Fernanda to drive her there.

Adriana tried giving Leo a pep talk. He pointed out that Fabricio took full advantage of the situation and Elisa needed to know she was being manipulated. Mario called him to tell him they were almost finished at the crime scene and that his family will have a lot of repairs to make. Leo said he would be there right away. Adriana told him he would be alright.

Clara asked Leslie if she was alright. Leslie apologized for the intrusion, then told her that her father was in prison. She could stop pretending not to know. Clara apologized, saying she didn't want her to worry. Leslie asked her to help her to get to see her father. She agreed, then said they should get some sleep. She took something from the top closet shelf and a box of money fell down onto the floor.
