QT #24

* Mateo stumbles down the dark & foggy mountain and gets a) a leg puncture, b) cell phone reception, and c) the attention of the rescue party.

* Leonel accuses Tirso of robbing the safe, but Dalia remembers Minerva, Servando and the toolbox and staunchly defends him.

* Sandy sneaks into her sister's room to erase racy photos of herself from the computer, but Bere wakes up and accuses her of reading her diary.

* Artemio proposes to the Padre that they "work together" in some unspecified way, but the latter is justifiably suspicious.

* Esme flashes back to when she asked Patricio to run away with her and the baby to start a new life, and he said he liked his life just the way it was, with a wife and a girlfriend and a natty riding crop.

* A dead-drunk Aaron lurches into the hospital waiting room and accuses Minerva of ripping Esme off for the ransom money that supposedly paid off the grave-robbers. He marked the bills, and they're the same ones he pocketed after talking Minnie away from the gambling table.

* Val doesn't recognize Leo and keeps calling for Mateo, although she does let Dalia feed her fruit. It doesn't occur to anyone to tell Remi she's okay, even though he's probably right across the hall.

* Leo takes Val home and keeps trying to kiss her, which totally freaks her out. She begs Dalia to let her spend the night at her place.

* Minerva puts Aaron to bed in the guest room, and when he wakes up in the morning with no memory of the night before she spins him a tall tale of their "night of passion."
 

QT #24

Gracias, Blue Lass.

Minnie is some piece of work. She accuses others of being gold-diggers but my bet is that she was one herself and now she's looking to gaslight Aaron.

Leo is really looking to mark his territory, isn't he? He is seriously ignorant about how to deal with amnesia, so he must not watch telenovelas.

Mateo gets a licking and keeps on ticking. Seriously, how do novela heroes never end up with serious scars?

Padre G is no dummy; he has good instincts about people. However, he may be fooling himself about himself. [I have yet to see anyone leave the priesthood in a Televisa production.]

Those racy photos are going to bite Sandy on the tush before much more time goes by.
 

"MEPS":
Episode 71 Recap (Part I):
1.) Nagging Gardenia got kidnapped AGAIN.... this time by Henchman #1 & Henchman #2 (thugs hired by Artemio Bravo, who wants the dirt on Franco Santorro).

2.) We go right back to the BUJI racetrack & another business meeting between Franco & Psycho Barbara.

3.) Franco getting sucker-punched just like the overrated KC Chiefs from the 2020 Super Bowl over the weekend (YES: I said it!)

4.) Going back to Pueblo Villa Madero (named after the former Mexican President Francisco Madero), Santiago & Fernanda are searching information about Aurora's whereabouts & whether she was killed in the Cantina explosion last week (even though we all know she's NOT dead).

5.) We see Fernanda comforting her WEAKLING baby brother Santiago. This dude was always a weakling & couldn't stand up to jackass siblings like Annibal or Camilo.

6.) Going back to the BUJI racetrack, we see Psycho Barbara looking at the special laptop which included $5,500,000,000 USD in which Franco explains the situation regarding a special donation to Grupo Lactos in some negotiation business development or something like that.

7.) Inner thoughts of Psycho Barbara do the talking as she's plotting another scheme against Franco.

8.) Back in Pueblo Villa Madero, Santiago goes into the morgue while Fernanda waits outside to identify some bodies. Presumably he probably identified Ugly Dominga (who deserved to get whacked).

9.) Once again back at the BUJI racetrack, we enjoy another epic Oscar award winning performance from Barbara Greco with the fake tears LOL.

10.) In the meantime, Eduardo/Franco's inner thoughts fantasizing destroying the woman, who destroyed his life 20+ years ago.

11.) Soon afterwards, Franco hands Psycho Barbara an invitation letter & it's presumed that an upcoming fiesta event on the grounds of Casa Santorro will be taking place.

12.) Santiago tells Fernanda that Aurora is alive somewhere. DUH Boy Genius!

 

"MEPS":
Episode 71 Recap (Part II)
13.) Nagging Gardenia, who's tied up & gagged up sitting in the backseat of the truck while Henchman #1 & Henchman #2 plot what to do with her.

14.) Over at Casa Santorro, Jacinto tells Steve, Jr., that he has some skepticism about Eduardo/Franco's revenge mission against Psycho Barbara & other issues.

15.) Law enforcement informs Santiago (AGAIN) & Fernanda that Aurora wasn't among those killed in the Cantina explosion.

16.) Over at Grupo Lactos in the DF: Jackass #1 Annibal is excited about the latest flush of $$$$: $10,500,000,000 USD (or whatever money Franco had transferred). He hugs Daddy Elizalde while Psycho Barbara hands her gullible & stupid hubby the invitation letter.

17.) Jackass #1 Annibal cares about MONEY, POWER & more MONEY & POWER. Karma is going to get this asshole sooner or later.

18.) Vlad shows up in Jackass #1 Annibal's office. Dude still needs a haircut in the worst way.

19.) Gullible Florencia at the receptionist desk has no idea that Vlad is using her only to get close to his precious Priscila (she's going to regret sleeping with that fool).

20.) Memo to Florencia: you are one of the most gullible women in this Telenovela who's being played for a sucker by Vlad.

21.) Over at the Palafox Estate Grounds: Housemaid tells Graciela Palafox & BowTie Dude Palafox that Franco is here to meet with them.

22.) Artemio Bravo wants all of the information pumped out of Gardenia about Franco Santorro by any means necessary. Henchman #1 & Henchman #2 take some stuff out of the truck, while Gardenia screams in horror as the large rattlesnake comes out of the bag.

23.) Nagging Gardenia is so freaked out by the rattlesnake, she's itching to blow the cover of Franco as Eduardo Juarez.

24.) During the meeting, the Palafoxes insult Liliana in derogatory terms, which pisses off Franco. They then demand to question his motives for meeting with them. Inevitably the meeting turned into an epic disaster.

25.) Back at Grupo Lactos: Gullible Florencia & Vlad have lunch during one of those lunch breaks.

 

"MEPS":
Episode 71 Recap (Part III)
26.) Nagging Gardenia hoping neither of Artemio's henchmen don't kill her, she's willing to sell out Franco to save her own ass.

27.) We then see Jacinto meeting with Jackass #2 Camilo on the grounds of the Elizalde Mansion.

28.) Jackass #2 Camilo wants to know any critical information regarding documents on Franco.

29.) Jackass #1 Annibal shows up & informs Jackass #2 Camilo about the recent business negotiation between Franco & Grupo Lactos. Jackass #2 Camilo gives Jacinto the evil stare.

30.) We go back to seeing Nagging Gardenia still freaking out about the damn rattlesnake in the truck. GET OVER IT!

31.) Grupo Lactos: with lunch finishes, Gullible Florencia goes back to the receptionist desk in getting back to work & answering phone calls, etc., while Vlad is still playing this gullible girl like a violin.

32.) Speaking of Creepy Vlad: we see him speaking with Priscila (whose exercising at some BUJI fitness club in the DF).

33.) Priscila looks annoyed at Vlad calling her. You opened the door to this mess when you let Vlad stretch you wide during that sex escapade.

34.) Jackass #2 Camilo always plotting something sinister as usual.

35.) No appearance from Martina or Liliana during yesterday's episode.

36.) I also noticed Aurora wasn't in yesterday's episode either.

37.) Henchman #1 demands Gardenia spill the beans on Franco. It appears she's going to expose Franco as Eduardo Juarez.

38.) Closing credits showing Eduardo & Fernanda's love-making session.

 

LFDD #72/73 2/8/21 Highlights

- Juliet confronts Bob about his affair with Maripaz
- Lucia and Camilo plan to live in their own place
- Ivan and Alex return from their trip
- Ivan goes back to the office and meets Juliet who tells him about her husband’s affair with Maripaz
- Tony shows Ivan the proof of the affair. Ivan plans to get a divorce and custody of Alex. He meets with a lawyer.
- Camilo wants to have a biological child with Lucia. Lucia refuses. He feels neglected by Lucia.
- Maripaz receives the divorce papers.

- Maripaz is shocked and furious after receiving the divorce papers. She stupidly wants Bob to represent her but he offers to find another lawyer.
- Lucia and Berenice are shocked to see a recovering Saul
- Maripaz brings up the divorce in front of Alex
- A hurricane reaches Alamos
- David tells Berenice about his ED problem
- Ivan, Maripaz and Alex meet with a judge and Alex gives testimony about how MP treats him.
- The judge grants Ivan the divorce AND custody of Alex with MP allowed supervised visits every 15 days.
- Ivan learns the real reason why Camilo quit his job at the association.


 

QT #25 Part 1 of 2

Leo did not want Val to stay with Dalia. However, he conceded upon the condition that he get a specialist for her amnesia.

Val asked Dalia about herself and Dalia answered that she was a model and the novia of Leo. That did not dredge up any memories for her. She then asked about Matt, wanting to know all about him. Dalia answered that he is a very good young man who likes helping people. He had searched diligently for her and.... he's engaged to be married.

Matt was at Sandy's at the time of that conversation. He said he had to go, but she wanted him to stay. He talked about their pending marriage, saying he wanted to buy land, build a house, and buy animals, especially horses. She isn't crazy about this and puts off the rest of this conversation. Dalia called the house phone looking for him.

Tirso had another unpleasant encounter with Sabina about Angelita. She doesn't want him near her, etc. Leo arrived and they fell silent, as before.

Matt went into his room, where Val now was. He prepared for bed only to find her in it. Dalia came in and told him this was...well, he put his pants back on. Val was shocked, but laid back down after he walked out.

Angelita eavesdropped on the argument between Leo and Tirso. Leo was angry, saying he wated to kill him. Sabina said that it would not be worth it.

Dalia got on Matt's case about Val because she didn't want any trouble with Leo. He was to keep his distance from her.

Servando and Art talked about Martinez. Servando thinks he's dead. Luisa told them it was getting late. Art dismissed her with some nasty comments about Padre G.

Matt slept on the couch, which was uncomfortable. Val came out for breakfast. Dalia looked uneasy at her interaction with Matt.

Leo argued with a journalist who asked about Val's memory loss, which he denied. Sandy waltzed in with flowers and got petulant when Leo told her she was at Matt's place.

Tirso and Magdalena hugged in the town square, where they were spotted by Sabina. Not good for them.

Leo got annoyed with Sandy and told her Matt was her problem. She was to keep Matt away from Val, who then entered. Sandy threw the flowers down and demanded to know why they were together. [What a brat.]

Art bullied (the guy in jail) about who shot at Tirso and Magdalena. No answer.

Sandy started getting nasty with Val and with Matt about Val being at his place. [She gets more childish with every episode.]
 

QT #25 Part 2 of 2

Padre G saw Art at Luisa's café, where he behaved like a total jerk. Padre G was looking for his help or the town. Art agreed but most likely this was for show because Luisa was present.

The doctor in the clinic told Remi that his infection was clearing up and his EKGs were almost normal. He told him that Val had been found and she was alright. Remi was relieved. The doctor asked him whether he had family. He replied that he did but that he was dead to them. The doctor understood.

Leo was still fending off the press, after which he had another argument with Sandy.

Matt was grooming Mariachi when Val came to talk to him. She petted Mariachi, who seemed to like her. She told Matt he was the only person she could trust and asked him to help her remember her identity. They rode tandem on the lovely horse.

Sandy made a devil's bargain with Leo to stalk each other's fiancés.

Matt and Val stopped and he gave back the medallion. They talked about how the Virgencita protected her.

Magdalena told Tirso he would pay if he ever cheated on her with Sabina.

Padre G and Art were still in the café in the same conversation. Padre G was suspicious. Art asked him what made him enter the church.

Berenice took out the book, then his it from Eva when she asked about it. Eva kept asking, but Berenice wasn't willing to talk about it. Eva told her she only wanted her to be happy.

Remi's doctor asked if there was any history of hypertension in his faily; Remi said there wasn't. Matt and Val came to visit him. Val did not remember him and he said he knew enough about her to write a book. She seemed to remember something when they hugged.

Despite the length of the Argentine original I don't think Val will have amnesia very long.

LFDD #74/75 HIGHLIGHTS

- Ivan is devastated to learn that Lucia married Camilo and they have a child
- Maripaz tells Tony she wants to go to Europe and he agrees to pay for her trip
- Tony calls Carlota and tells her that he didn’t tell Ivan that Lucia’s daughter could be his
- Carlota tells Lucrecia that Ivan and Maripaz divorced. Lucrecia then tells Lucia everything.
- Lucia tells Camilo and Camilo hopes Ivan won’t return.
- The agricultural association doesn’t have insurance to cover the damages of the hurricane. The members want Camilo to take JJ’s place as the new president of the association
- Ivan wants to return to Alamos alone but Tony says they ALL will return together.
- Esther has plans to divorce JJ and stay with her sister for a while
- Tony, Ivan, Alex and Benito arrive in Alamos

- Ivan and Camilo face off. Ivan asks him why he married someone who doesn’t love him.
- Camilo prohibits Ivan from getting close to Lucia.
- Carlota suggests to Lucia that while she finishes her studies/thesis that Camilo’s sister watch Perlita.
- Camilo tells Lucia about his confrontation with Ivan. Camilo still wants to have a biological child with Lucia.
- Lucia tells Carlota about Camilo’s jealousy and says she wishes Ivan would return to the US
- Alex visits Gerardo and Carolina. Then later visits Lucia and meets his “sister”. Ivan tells Alex that Lucia married Camilo.
- Lucia goes to see Ivan but Camilo intercepts her. Ivan confronts Camilo. Ivan accuses Camilo of making Lucia unhappy and Lucia angrily confirms it when Camilo asks her directly.
- Tony suggests that Ivan returns to Los Angeles but Ivan refuses. Tony calls Carlota.
- Lucia tells Camilo that they can’t live always fighting and that she doesn’t want another child. He has the audacity to tell Lucia to give Perlita to Ivan so that he (C) and Lucia can be in peace. He quickly apologizes.
- Tony and Carlota talk about the love triangle
- Ivan talks about Lucia with Alex
- Ivan asks Judith about the timeline of Lucia and Camilo’s wedding and Lucia giving birth
- JJ tells Lucrecia about his marital problems
- Lucia tells Ivan to leave her alone. Tony also tells Ivan that it’s best he move on.
- Camilo complains to his mother about Ivan. Antolin suggests that Camilo let Lucia go and be happy with Ivan.
- Maripaz returns to Alamos

Thanks, Blue Lass & Urban! Muchas gracias! Matt worked hard on the rescue--good he finally got the attention of the rescue team. From Mon. to Tue., seemed like Val had some miraculous healing on her scars. Maybe there were a couple of days in between. Loved to see her fear of Leo and her refusal to let him touch her.
Sandy is such a brat. She and Leo and bound to hit some snags with their big plan.
Almost another shower scene when Matt started to climb into bed with Val.
Patricio wanted what he wanted, no matter if it hurts another person. Leo seems to be his father's son.

I'm having a bit of a beanie moment on Mat & Sandy's relationship -- I got the feeling from their conversation that they haven't been, um, together yet? So his taking off his clothes and jumping into the shower with (what he thought was) her was just cowboy hijinks? Somehow I don't think her parents would agree.

I am wondering about that, too. If that is the case is she... experienced? Dalia's maternal instincts are not what they should be about her.

QT #26 Part 1 of 2

Remi was quite emotional when hugging Val.

Dalia caught Sandy trying on Val's clothes. She said she had a new job: Working for Leo. Dalia had cared for him when he was a child; Sandy could not get her to reveal more, so she left. Dalia started putting Val's clothes away and a grey teddy bear fell on the floor. She put it in the top drawer in the nightstand.

Basurto talked to Leo about the Martinez cell phone records. Leo asked how much money he wanted.

Angelita asked Sabina if she and Leo were novios; that's what the kids in school were saying.. Sabina gave her a non-answer, telling her Leo was her half-brother. Further, that the kids were all envious because her father was the richest man in all of Rosario. She told her she woulw wait in the kitchen.

Esme and Camila talked about Don Patricio ubtil Minnie came in with Aaron. Esme id not like seeing them together.

Val and Matt walked out into town; she sai she liked it. Padre G saw them and told them everyone was worried about them. Val walked off to see more while Matt and Padre G talked about gossip. Neither liked how Art handled things. Matt walked off to look for Val, wo was in the market. She was disturbed by the surrounding noise.

Berenice went into Luisa's café and accused her of influencing Padre G against her. Art's aeeival prevented this from continuing. Art made sarcastic comments and Berenice decided to leave,He accused Luisa of lusting after the padre. He must have provoked more gossip by doing so loud enough to be heard by customers.

1st Encounter: Magdalena and Val almost collided in the street. “Do I know you?” Val asked. Magdalena said No and went on her way. Sandy arrived and told Val she would help her because of her amnesia. Val seemed to remember that Sandy was annoyed at seeing her with Matt; they agreed to start from zero. Val asked if she recognized the woman they had just seen and Sandy told her that she worked in the saloon.

Minnie tried to bait Esme about looking for a new meal ticket, but Esme didn't let that bother her, saying she had enough dinero. She sat with Aaron who told her he was trying to keep Minnie from gambling. Esme told him to be careful. He seemed to take offense.

Sandy introduced Val to Eva. When they went into another room Leo arrived after a call from Sandy. She told him Matt took Val to see Remi. He said they had to do something before Val recovers her memory. Sandy said they should convince Remi to get her to remember what suits them. Matt came in asking “:And what should Remi do?”

Magdalena and Aaron talked about whether anything ever happened between Sabina and Tirso. Unknown so far (to them). He was annoyed at how this looked and wanted to get out of the bar. Minnie suggested they go elsewhere, but he said he needed to go to the office. She stayed and implied to Esmeshe was payiing her back for seducing Patricio. This did not bother Esme, as Don Patricio did not love Minnie.

 

QT #26 Part 2 of 2

Leo said it was about recovering Val's memory and that it would take time. Leo tried to put restrictions on Matt being in her company. Val was still uncomfortable around Leo. Sandy wanted to talk about the wedding. Matt didn't but didn't say so.

Dalia tried to talk to Sabina about the gossip Angelita mentioned. Sab asked her about Esme's baby. Dalia said the baby was born via C section, lived only a few hours, and died before Esme woke up from the anaesthesia, so she never saw him. Not surprisingly, Sab did not brlieve this.

Berenice tried tried to talk to Sandy about something but Eva came in so she shut up. Berenice could not get her mind or hormones off Padre G. Sandy told her there were plenty guys whoh are interested in her but she ignores them all, but then changed the subject to her new “job.”

Another BS meeting of Art's with Padre G. As Padre G departed he overheard Art and Servando talking about the prisoner who has to keep his mouth shut. He went back into Art's office to find out what was going on. Art lied about the subject of the conversation and Padre G confronted him with “You were talking about torturing someone.” Art denied this and Padre G told him he was no fool and walked out.

Sabina went to the saloon and Esme had no desire to talk to her, especially about her baby or Patricio. This was about Sab making sure that Leo and Angelita were the only heirs to Patricio's fortune. Esme said “Monet is not important to me. A son is another story.” Sab laughed. Esme told her to get out or she would throw her out. Reinforcements (Magdalena and Camila) arrived and Esme told then she never wanted to see Sabina again.

Berenice found Chacho in her bathroom; he was at the pensión because work was being done on his place. He had a mishap with his clothes and needed a replacement key to get back into his room. He was afraid Eva would see him. Berenice looked for the key and Magdalena came in looking for Tirdo, who was not there. Magdalena called him; he was having dinner with Dalia and Matt. She wanted to talk but he told her if she wanted marriage and kids she should go on with her life.

Dalia put Sandy's plate in the fridge because she hadn't returned fro work. Matt didn't like her working at the hacienda because Leo is such a jerk. Dalia thought otherwise, saying that it was good for her to be ith Val.
 

QT #26 Part 3 of 3

Val felt uncomfortable in Leo's room. Sandy said she'd like to forget things about Matt, such as infidelity. Val wasn't buying it. Sandy taled about having no friends – except her – because of him. [Pure BS.]

Berenice tried some of the keys but didn't find the right one. Padre G arrived and thought he saw something compromising. He had come to tell her that the vaccines had arrived and they could begin the program n the school. She said she did not understand why he came to see her after previously saying he didn't want to.

Val wasn't believing this and Sandy spun a new tale along with her crocodile tears. “But I know he will change when we're married.” She got Val to promise to have nothing to do with Matt. She started talking Leo up. He then arrived and Sandy retreated.

Sab caught Sandy and had her number. Sandy said she was ust there to work.

Later, Leo wanted to get it on, but Val did not. He finally suggested and followed through on moving to the guest room.

Tirso brought flowers to Dalia while she was preparing breakfast. Sabina intruded, demanding to know where Angelita was.

Corina complained to Val about Minnie. Val opened and sniffed the coffee. Matt came in and Val scolded him about how he treats Sandy.
 

QT #26

How on earth can any reasonably educated man think that any woman with amnesia would be willing to have intimate relations with a man they don't recognize?

The fact that Esme never saw her baby leads me back to the idea that Mateo was that baby.

Mateo should be very suspicious of what Sandy is doing. Dalia is ow coming off as clueless as Augustina in Amor Bravio.

LFDD #76/77 HIGHLIGHTS

- Carlota thinks Maripaz has ulterior motives for returning
- Lucia is planning to take an exam to get her degree
- Camilo reluctantly greets Maripaz. She kisses him on the mouth.
- Lucia and Arcelia talk and Lucia finds out that Maripaz returned. She isn’t happy.
- Carmen tries to find out when Lucrecia leaves the house to get groceries. Carmen calls Saul.
- Alex visits with Carolina. Maripaz shows up to try and see Alex. Antolin kicks her out.
- Alex tells Ivan that Maripaz is in Alamos
- Camilo suggests to Lucia that they move out so Maripaz won’t bother her but Lucia decides against it.
- The next day Lucia goes to meet with her professor but gets a flat tire and Ivan coincidentally arrives to help her. She calls Berenice to cancel the meeting with their professor.
- Lucia and Ivan talk about their love for each other and Ivan kisses Lucia. She doesn’t resist.
- Maripaz lies to Gerardo about the reason Ivan divorced her saying Ivan hired someone to lie about the affair.
- Maripaz notes that Perlita doesn’t look premature and thinks Lucia cheated on Ivan.
- Maripaz overhears Lucia tell Berenice that Ivan helped her change her tire.
- Berenice asks Lucia who Perlita’s father is. Lucia says it’s Ivan.
- Ivan tells Tony about running into Lucia and tells him he’s sure Lucia was already pregnant when she married Camilo.
- Maripaz blabs to Camilo about Ivan helping Lucia.

- Berenice and David talk about the situation with Lucia, Ivan and Camilo.
- Camilo confronts Lucia about seeing Ivan, accusing her of calling Ivan to help her.
- Lucia decides to stay with Carlota in her bedroom and wonders how Camilo found out about Ivan. Camilo realizes Lucia isn’t in their bedroom.
- Camilo confronts Ivan again
- Lucia decides to take an empty room in the house for herself and Perlita. Maripaz wonders why Lucia is changing bedrooms. Carlota wants to find a way to get Maripaz to move out.
- Ivan and Camilo continue to argue
- Judith tells David she is going to visit their mother and also that she has a date with an employee in the association.
- Ivan tells Tony about his argument with Camilo and says he knows Lucia wouldn’t divorce Camilo to get back with him.
- Camilo finds out Lucia is moving to another bedroom and Carmen asks him what he did to make her decide that.
- Camilo thinks Ivan convinced Lucia to slowly separate from him. Lucia tells Camilo her obligation isn’t to have sex with him every time he wants. Camilo accuses her of using him to hide her pregnancy but she says that her original intention was to be a single mother and not care about her reputation. She feels that Camilo is leaving her alone to deal with things and Camilo promises that HIS love for her will be enough for their marriage.
- Ivan calls Lucia. He assumes Perlita is his daughter, Lucia denies it.
- Carmen tells Arcelia about the problems between Camilo and Lucia.
- A shirtless Camilo tries to talk to Lucia but she asks him to give her space and in return he asks to tell Ivan that Perlita is his (C) daughter.
