Oft hope is born when all is forlorn - Tolkien
Previously: Olmo, desperate and defeated, picks up a sizeable shard of glass. He caresses his wrist with the sharp object as he speaks to Alma, telling her they will be together soon. He grips the glass, and cuts deeply as a river of red blood gushes forth. We stare, stunned as the life force begins to ebb from his body.
Pedro visits Vera, reassuring her she is not alone, holding her hand. You and Nico will be together soon. She reaffirms she did not kill Olmo.
Seeing the carnage in the bowels of his lair, Fausto roars for Tadeo. He has no intention of allowing Olmo to end his own life but will intervene so he can play “God” and choose when and how Olmo will perish. Olmo’s life is his. They rush in as Olmo murmurs “Fausto”?
Nico is asking Delia for his mother. Pedro crouches down and said he saw his mother and she misses him terribly. Don’t worry she will be back soon. Ivana comes in in her short black nightie to interrupt this tender moment. She interjects that Pedro should not give Nico false hope. When she refers to Vera as a criminal, Pedro demands that she watch what she says. She starts to threaten Pedro about Nico but Faby comes to his defense saying Nico is innocent of any wrongdoing. Ivana hisses that Faby be quiet. After Ivana leaves, Faby apologizes but Pedro avers it is not her fault. Faby rubs her tattoo as Eddie stares at his matching one.
Julio calls his brother to ask if he thinks his accident might have been intentional. When his brother agrees that it wasn’t an accident, Julio promises to find out what really happened and who was responsible. Julio thinks that it probably occurred because of him.
Pedro and Ivana continue to clash as Pedro staunchly defends Nico. Ivana muses cruelly if Pedro identifies with Nico because he is also an orphan. Ivana wants to turn Nico over to the authorities since the Casares are not an orphanage. Pedro warns her Nico is not alone, but Ivana insists that it will be the judge who will decide.
Emilia is worried about Nico and there is yet another argument with Jass. Emilia wants Nico with them and if Jass won’t get him, she will go herself. Jass halfheartedly concedes and goes to get Nico.
Olmo’s wounds are clumsily bound. Olmo thinks his captor can’t be Fausto because Fausto is dead. Olmo murmurs as Tadeo injects him (again). Fausto retorts that yes, he killed him, and he is in that hell waiting to seek vengeance. When Olmo hallucinates and sees Alma, Fausto tells him that Alma is really there...and asks if he taught Alma all those things she does so well when in bed.
.
Marina tells the doctor that she remembers some things, but she doesn’t know if they are real since they don’t make sense. The doctor suggests that she join the therapy group and urges her to share her story. Miguel hovers and is a comforting presence for Marina.
Jass tells Ivana that he is there to take Nico but Ivana refuses to give Nico to him since they don’t even have the same last name. When Jass insists, Ivana insults him, fires him on the spot and orders him to leave.
Pedro plays with Nico and as Teo and Gonzo arrive with Lucia, Vera’s lawyer, introductions are made. She tells him that if this were a normal situation, they could get Vera out quickly, but this is far from it as the judge was bought. Once she proves that the judge was bought and paid for, he will back off.
Vera in jail as Yoli, one of the inmates throws a magazine at her with her and Olmo on the front page. Yoli asserts she is the queen there! She wants the million dollars that the family offered as a reward. Vera is spirited away just in time.
Pedro tells Lucia that he is worried about Nico since Ivana wants to keep Nico as insurance to make Vera talk. When he states that he will take responsibility for Nico, Teo warns him that if he is too obvious that family will go against him.
Diana
Julio goes to see Lola because she has been avoiding him. He thought things were fine between them so she has to tell him the truth about what is going on. Lola tells him that she is jealous of Vera and him...she saw the photos he has in the book. Julio assures him that there is nothing between him and Vera who is his past. When she asks him to confirm that there is absolutely nothing between them, Julio replies that it is complicated. Lola looks wounded and unconvinced.
Later, Rocha interrogates Vera as Ivana appears. Why are you here Vera cries? Ivana hisses that Vera doesn’t know what hell is yet. Ivana is there to show Vera what she is capable of if Vera doesn’t talk. When Vera denies knowing anything, Ivana threatens that she will talk when she loses her son...Vera won’t be able to do anything about it since she is locked up there. Vera dissolves in tears, heaving sighs of despair.
Ivana tells Gaston and Mélida about her threat to Vera. Gaston hopes it’s just a threat, but Ivana retorts that a threat is no good if you aren’t willing to follow through. Beyotch we hiss through clenched teeth ☹
Lucia assures Vera that that are many irregularities in her case, and she will be out soon. She also assures Vera that they cannot take her son from her. She strokes Vera’s cheek comfortingly.
A mewling Jass pouts, telling daddy that Ivana chased him out, firing him. Fausto tells him to stop crying and go home. They will talk later.
Mélida gives Delia a hard time as she sets the table. Mélida imperiously demands that Delia go get her folic acid because she is the hired help.
Pedro tells Lola and Julio that Ivana wants to turn Nico over to the authorities, but he is going to make sure that doesn’t happen. He tells them about Gonzo getting an attorney for Vera...he is very afraid for Vera and if something happens to her, he will never forgive himself.
Vera is sitting at a table as Yoli and several other very strong inmates confront her. They mercilessly taunt her about Nico. Vera warns them to keep him out of it. Yoli’s friends take Vera and push her up against the wall. They grab her by the throat and as she tries to fight back, they bat her away like a fly. They start kicking her and Yoli threatens to cut her. Candida comes to her rescue and grabs the knife. She takes Vera by the hand and leads her away, telling the others Vera is under her protection.
Silvio asks Alberto if he can find any leads on where Olmo could be. Alberto thinks they need to find Granados. Alberto calls Ivana and asks how Faby is. Ivana suggests they form an alliance to find Olmo.
Emilia finishes work on a client as Jass sits and drinks. She asks him to help out when Jass erupts and becomes livid, shattering a glass. As he manhandles her, holding a knife, Eddy rushes in and intervenes. Emilia tells Eddy to go to his grandfather. Emilia leads Eddy away and as Jass lowers his head, warns Jass he must never cross the line again.
Ivana chides Mélida for her behavior toward Delia. Mélida wonders if Ivana has thought about what would happen if Olmo didn’t return. Gaston would run to Laiza and Delia would be a granny. But if Delia leaves, it will ensure that Gaston would stay away from Laiza.
Bare chested Jass eats at the kitchen table as he talks with Emilia. I’m a criminal he admits. Viewerville shake our heads as we hiss that he needs to add murderer to that little admission.
Diana
Candida leads Vera to a rather cozy room and tends to her wounds. She tells Vera that she has become very popular because she lived the Cinderella story. When Vera asks why she helped her, Candida replies that Vera loves her son very much. She shares with Vera why she is there—she killed her husband because he was very abusive to her and her son. She even called the police herself. Unfortunately, her son only sees her as his father’s killer.
Ivana has swallowed Mélida’s poison, telling Delia that she will no longer sit at the table with them. Olmo is not there, she is only an employee and will sit with the employees. Delia is clearly wounded and counters that if Olmo is not there, then she won’t be there either. Ivana shows her the door.
Fausto listens as Olmo demands that he kill him. Fausto responds that his wish is his command. Tadeo hands Fausto bullets as he loads his gun. The doorbell rings as we hear Olmo’s tortured cries. He is just about to execute Olmo when Eddy shows up, telling him that he is there because his father hasn’t stopped drinking ever since he got fired. Fausto tells him tomorrow is another day. As they talk, Eddy hears noise. Ever alert, Eddy asks to use the bathroom. As Fausto leaves, Eddy, being the smart and inquisitive child that he is opens the laptop and sees Olmo. He watches as Fausto viciously beats Olmo with a stick. They get Olmo into a chair as Fausto returns.
Lucia tells Pedro that Judge Solares rejected the petition. She thinks Ivana’s plan is to go after Nico so Vera will talk. Pedro wonders if he can adopt Nico; so Lucia tells him that he will need Vera’s consent.
Marina confides that after so many miscarriages, she and her husband tried to adopt but the baby’s mother changed her mind. Her husband left the house, but he later returned and she thought they would be happy. She recalls entering the church for her father’s wedding... but then she remembers the attack and the kidnapping of her father.
Delia exits the Casares home. Laiza asks if they should tell Pedro, but Delia insists that if Olmo is not there, she has nothing to do there. The housekeeping staff are all in tears… Ivana threatens them that if they tell anyone, she will fire them all. Laiza gently leads her mother out and later gives her a warm, welcoming hug at her home.
The doctor assures Marina that she has made great strides. Andres consoles Marina who thinks she has lost everything. Andres assures her that he will not leave her alone.
Ivana sits on Olmo’ s bed, caressing the pillow and drinking in his scent.
Pedro goes to see Vera and suggests that he adopt Nico since Ivana is very serious about carrying out her nefarious plan. Vera replies, “There is no need for you to adopt him because Nico is your son!” Pedro, finally privy to what we already know, reels from this pivotal revelation…

Diana
Thank you RgvChick for your mastery of and generous sharing of all of the vocabulary!
I never met a Tolkien quote I didn't love. I find they are the perfect compliment for TN titles, perhaps as both are rooted in fantasy.
Looking forward do hear what you all have to say tomorrow.
Diana
Thanks, Diana, for the great read this morning. I was looking forward to this as I just finished watching the episode and put on a pot of coffee.
Hope Olmo is up to date on his tetanus shots. Too bad he and Fausto cannot kill each other in a fight to the death. Then there would only be Vera to deal with. I think she would get along well with the jail gang. ; )
So we see Beatriz Morena (Efigenia in "Vencer del desamor") here as Cándida. I was walking around as I was watching, heard the voice and did a double take. I am so glad that Cándida showed up so we didn't have to go through more jail violence de rigueur.
Parallel tales of familial violence provoked by the father in the cases of Cándida and Emilia. Eddy could have easily committed murder protecting his mother as Cándida did protecting her son. Nothing new here.
I could not believe that Ivana threw Delia out. Out of all of the crimes she has committed that might be the one that drives Olmo over the edge. LOL
I still do not understand how Ivana can rule the household with impunity when Pedro is Olmo's legal son. Well, I guess I should know because the answer is a galán without guts, so far, so . . . the real question is: Will Pedro take a DNA test ASAP and claim Nico as his son or will he put his son at continued risk by his customary hemming and hawing??
What a joy to read your comment this morning Jarifa. Thank you so much.
"Hope Olmo is up to date on his tetanus shot" had me smiling away. Two rabid dogs indeed.
Loved seeing Beatriz as well - a great actor.
I was afraid Jass had pushed Eddy over the edge. As if seeing his grandfather murder Antonia wasn't horrific enough, he has now seen his father manipulated into becoming a dangerous, violent criminal. Rather than cowering, Eddy confronts things head on, but he THINKS and is careful. Will he be the key to Olmo's release. The problem is - who will he tell??? I have confidence he will figure it out, after all, he and Faby are the smartest ones here.
Ivana doesn't ask permission. Or forgiveness, come to think of it. Without Olmo to put her in her place, the household is at her command.
Let's hope Pedro takes the DNA test and claims Nico. We have no idea how long Vera is going to languish in jail.
Diana
Diana, that does put Eddy in a hard place. Poor kid has a lot on his shoulders. Should be an interesting one tonight.
Elvan asks Yahya, did you know that Sancar and Gediz would leave early in the morning? No, no one took me into account, he says with displeasure. Are you going to get sensitive about this, Elvan asks? Is this male menopause?
The doctor has finished with Halise. He tells Yahya that Halise should rest and avoid stress [Halise doesn’t get stressed she just gives it to everyone else]. Yahya walks out with the doctor and leaves Kavruk in charge. Halise is feeling better, so much better that she gets up and walks out of the room and up the stairs. Where are you going, Zehra asks? You need to rest, Refika says. Everyone follows her up.
Nare is trying to get Melek to get up out of bed. It’s already past noon. Melek’s not budging. She says she will sleep until her father comes back. Nare sighs. She hears a commotion out in the hall.
Halise barges in to Nare’s bedroom, how dare you, the witch exclaims. Nare quickly pushes her back out into the hall. Shhh, Melek is asleep. Why is everyone here, Nare asks, what happened? Halise wants answers, how did you know Sancar would be leaving early today? Nare says that Gediz told her. Halise asks, why didn’t you say anything? You let him leave the house without saying goodbye to his wife? [and this is her responsibility?]
Nare says she doesn’t care who her dear son says goodbye to. Leave my room, please. Nare turns to go back inside but Halise grabs her. Come here, now, she shouts, who do you think you are to kick me out of my own mansion! [did she say, her mansion?]
Nare’s not taking it this time. That’s enough, she fires back, I tried to understand you because you are a mother, too! But I’m tired! I’m tired of you always blaming me for everything that happens! I don’t care if your son did not want to say goodbye to you or his wife! Why are you blaming me for not telling anyone? Everything that has happened was Sancar’s decision—what happened between us, not saying goodbye to you, stealing from the Mayor’s office.
Halise says her son did not steal from the Mayor’s office. You are slandering Sancar just like your father did. I’m going to kill you, Halise shouts. She goes to put her hands on Nare but Kavruk steps between them. Enough, he shouts, Mrs. Halise, leave her alone. Halise is shocked; she warns Kavruk to stay out of it. He won’t. He tells Halise, you always claim you have the most experience of all of us, but you haven’t learned anything. Not for nothing, Sancar and Gediz are in prison. [bravo, Kavruk!]
My son is innocent, she insists, neither of them is guilty. Kavruk looks at Refika and it’s obvious she knows something. Halise asks her, did our children steal that money? Refika runs back downstairs, and the other ladies follow. Nare and Kavruk stay upstairs.
Refika, come back, Halise shouts, don’t run away. She grabs Refika. Look at me, tell me if you knew that Gediz and Sancar did those things. And you never said anything? Halise asks, Gediz stole from his father and because of him Sancar is a thief, right?
Refika goes on the defense. Your son has all the blame, Halise! Do you think Gediz needed that money? Yes, Gediz stole but he did it because of Sancar’s greed! Halise gasps.
Kavruk speaks from the balcony. The inheritance is going to be legitimate, he says. Are you saying that a property is like a person’s life, Mrs. Refika? Are you going to tell the truth, or should I write a poem about it? Refika tries to shut Kavruk up—now is not the time to be writing stupid poems. Halise says to let Kavruk speak, he knows something.
dondi356
Kavruk starts, death is a right for everyone— that is why the inheritance will be legitimate. The Isiklis hid Mr. Burhan’s will from the Efeoglus. Halise gasps. A large mansion, a huge olive grove and a large amount of gold. A great inheritance. Is this not true? Halise asks how Kavruk knows this. Elvan can’t believe all this was hidden from them. Kavruk nods. Halise stares at the totally disarmed and mortified Refika.
Nare asks Kavruk for clarification. Did Sancar and Gediz rob the mayor’s office because the Isiklis did not comply with the will? Because Gediz’ father was the mayor? Kavruk says my Efe got what he deserved or Gediz gave him what he deserved, in one way the other.
Halise thinks back to Refika reminding her of all the wonderful things her very important family did for Halise and the Efeoglus. Halise tells Refika, all these years you spoke about how good Isiklis treated the Efeoglus. You were like a sister to me, Halise says, and you stabbed me in the back! I curse you and I’ll keep on doing it. Halise orders everyone to pack their things. We are leaving this mansion! I never want to see you again, she tells Refika. She gives a quick look to Nare as well.
Sancar calls Yahya. Have you found Necdet? No, we are looking everywhere. Sancar tells Yahya that Nare mustn’t go out alone. Please don’t let her. Yahya tells him not to worry about that. Sancar asks about Melek. Yahya tells him she was sleeping when he left, she didn’t want to get up. Sancar thinks back to Melek telling him she sleeps a lot when she’s sad. This makes Sancar feel sad, too. He asks about Halise. Yahya says, she’s fine but not a fine as Nare. Yahya doesn’t tell him about Halise’s health scare but lets him know that it wasn’t cool not to say goodbye to her [and not him either]. Sancar says that’s Gediz’ fault.
Yahya has an idea. Do you remember Ilyas’ son, who worked in the olive grove? He wasn’t a good worker, but you liked him. Yes, Sancar remembers him but he had to fire him. What about him, Sancar asks. Yahya thinks this guy is in the same prison as Sancar. And he knows Necdet well. Yahya suggests that Sancar talk to him. Sancar thanks Yahya for the info and hangs up.
Sancar speaks with the guard, Kemal. Lokman Yilmaz, his nickname is Loki, where is he? Kemal says he had a fight and is in isolation. Sancar asks, can you get him out?
Yahya comes back to the house and wonders what’s going on. Elvan tells him Halise and Refika argued and now they are leaving. Why? Sancar and Gediz stole the money from the Mayor’s office. What? Ah, and did you not know the Islklis stole the Efeoglus’ inheritance? That’s why they stole the money. Yahya says this doesn’t make any sense. Elvan says to ask Kavruk, he knows everything. Yahya looks at Kavruk, they told you and not me? Kavruk doesn’t answer that, instead he asks for Halise. Yahya is upset.
Halise is at Nare’s door again, banging away. Nare goes out in the hall. What are you doing? Why do you lock the door, Halise asks? [that’s obvious] Halise demands, where is the money you took from the safe? Nare asks why she wants the money. It belongs to my son, she replies, and it is none of your business. Tell me where it is.
Flashback to the day they took the money from the marina safe. Dudu is driving the taxi. She wanted to bring Nare to the hospital first, and then go to the police. Nare says how would they explain about the bags of money?
Dudu takes them to her house in the village. Ayse is sweeping out front. What are you all doing here? Ayse asks what happened? There’s no time to explain they go into the house. Dudu hides the money in a cabinet in a trunk. Nare asks if she has a safe. Dudu snarks, the safe is in the summer house, I’m sorry.
dondi356
Muge questions whether it is wise to keep the money here. She feels the money would be safer at her house. Nare thinks differently, the police would never think of coming here. Muge wonders if they can trust Dudu. You know I hear you, Dudu says, but maybe Muge is right, I wouldn’t trust myself either. Nare says she trusts Dudu because people who speak direct are the most honest. Dudu is please to get this vote of confidence from Nare. [But should they trust Ayse?]
Ayse is confused and worried. First the arrests, now you arrive in a taxi, the ambassador’s daughter is in bad shape. Gediz’ sister is a crazy psychologist. And now there is a huge amount of money in my trunk! Is this a dream? No, Nare says, it’s real life. Ayse insists they tell her everything. Why were you driving a taxi? Nare says she ran over the driver. This item never fails to impress people, Ayse’s jaw drops.
Nare tells Halise she can’t give her the money. I’ll do whatever Sancar and Gediz tell me to do. Halise is steamed, are you refusing to give me money that belongs to my son? She shouts, I couldn’t kill you this morning, but I swear I will now!
Nare asks Halise to be quiet because Melek is sleeping. Halise rips Nare about that, too. Who sleeps past noon? Wake her up now because the girl will come with her grandmother. What? We are leaving here, and my granddaughter will come with me! Halise orders Nare to pack her daughter’s bag! Nare keeps her cool. My daughter will stay with me, and with that, she goes back into the bedroom and locks the door.
Hellise shouts outside the door. Melek wake up! Open the door! I will not leave without my granddaughter! I’ll tear down the door!
Melek wakes up and she is frightened. Nare holds her. Don’t be afraid, she tells Melek, your grandmother can’t get in, she’s just screaming [like the crazy b-witch she is!] Halise continues to yell and terrorize her own granddaughter! Finally, thank goodness, Refika comes up and tells Halise to leave them alone. Halise turns on her, stay with the ambassador’s daughter and with our money! Spend it on whatever you want! I’m leaving and I never want to see you again. [don’t let the door hit you, where the good Lord split you, Halise!]
As her parting shot, Halise tells Refika, let’s see what happens if all of Mugla finds out about the stolen inheritance. Refika hits back with her own threat--and what will they say when they find out you hired Necdet? [yes! yes!] This stops Hellise in her tracks!
What did you say? Are you listening to yourself, Halise asks? I listen perfectly well and I also see very well, Refika replies. Flashback to Halise questioning the progress of the investigation of Nare’s attack. I know you well, Refika says. You sent someone to beat her. You slander me, Halise asks, because I threaten to tell about the inheritance? Refika tells her, go ahead and spread the word but don’t forget I have secrets to reveal and I’ll start by telling everything to Sancar! [yes, please!] Halise is forced to back down and she leaves.
Elvan asks Halise, where will we stay? We’re homeless, Halise answers, and we don’t have any friends. I don’t know what to do. They get into the cars to go somewhere.
Lokman has been released to the cell block. Gediz greets him, it seems all the criminals know us. How are you, Gediz asks? Better as soon as I saw you. Lokman is grateful to Sancar for getting him out of isolation. He starts to sing. [this guy’s a few cards short of a deck] Loki wants to kiss Sancar’s hand; Sancar won’t let him, Lokman don’t. He tells Sancar, Lokman died, now everyone calls me Loki.
dondi356
Loki notices Sancar is wearing a wedding ring. Who did you marry? Not important, says Sancar. He needs Loki’s help. Loki looks pleased and babbles about being in isolation and banging his head against the walls and his cardiovascular system. Our guys are impatient with his babbling.
Down to business. Sancar tells Loki they are looking for Necdet. Loki says he doesn’t know him. What? How can you not know brother-in-law Necdet? Necdet isn’t my BIL, Loki says. Sancar explains that Necdet is his wife’s brother. Loki’s expression changes. Sancar asks him, Necdet is your friend, right? You married Menekse, Loki asks?
[ominous background music, not good.]
Sancar tells Loki that Necdet attacked his daughter’s mother and he wants to find him. Your daughter’s mother, Loki asks? Gediz gets impatient, we want to know where Necdet is and maybe you know something. Loki says he will ask his friends to look for him. Loki calls for the guard and leaves the cell. Gediz thinks Loki is a strange guy. [got that right]
Loki goes to his locker and opens it. He has a picture of Menekse on the door! Uh oh, Sancar married his girl! [too bad, Loki and Menekse would have been a perfect match!]
The Efeoglus arrive at Orhan’s hotel. Yahya doesn’t understand what happened back at Refika’s. Did you argue? Do you know that Orhan is Refika’s relative? Halise says they will begin to find out about Refika’s betrayal and tells Yahya to make the reservations. Ha, Elvan wants a separate room from Yahya.
Halise asks Kavruk why he never told them about the inheritance. He didn’t want to tell Sancar’s secret. Then why did you do it now? Kavruk replies, if I didn’t do it now, the usurper would have been the legitimate one; it wouldn’t be fair to keep quiet. Halise tells him he did well. Zehra smiles.
Gulsiye teases Elvan, you can’t hear through hotel walls. What will you do here? Elvan will chase her it’s good exercise.
People are gossiping about the Efeoglu family showing up at the hotel.
There’s an issue at the front desk. Yahya tells the clerk the price of rooms is too high. Can she do better? That’s all she can do. Halise goes over. Yahya explains. Halise says to book regular double rooms. Orhan comes over and tells the clerk to book the suites for the Efeoglus free of charge. He knows times are hard for the family. Halise is snotty. She doesn’t want help from Refika’s family, the ones who stole the inheritance of the Efeoglus. We will take normal rooms and pay for them. Orhan just looks at Halise.
Halise goes to her room and starts to sob.
Menekse doesn’t know how to use the key card to enter the room. Elvan has the room next to hers and smugly models how it’s done. Menekse is sharing the room with Halise. She sees her MIL is crying. Oh, poor Halise says, we are living in a hotel, we don’t have any money. I don’t know how much gold we have available but the worst of all is that Refika knows I hired your brother! What? She will tell Sancar! Halise starts sobbing again. Menekse knows what’s coming.
Loki gets a knife from the bathroom. He tells another inmate that Sancar stole his girl and they even have a daughter! I’m going to kill him! What? The inmate wonders why that rat Necdet gave Loki’s beloved to someone else. [follow the money] Loki says it won’t stay like this for long. He plans to kill Sancar and Sancar will kill Necdet. Huh? Don’t you have that backwards, Loki? He does. He means he will give Necdet to Sancar first, then take care of Sancar. Loki mentions a famous saying, “make your enemies kill each other and you watch and enjoy.” Did Loki just make that up?
dondi356
Gediz asks Sancar what if Loki just pretends to look for Necdet? What if he warns him instead? Sancar says he won’t do that. Gediz is sick of Sancar’s silent treatment. Sancar has nothing else to say to Gediz. Gediz says Necdet is free, and we have common problems. Sancar grabs Gediz, what common problems? This is my problem! Muhsin comes over and asks why they are fighting.
Loki returns. I asked around and Necdet is staying at Kamil’s. Sancar vows to finish Necdet. Loki asks what they are going to do. Gediz says, get justice. They will send Necdet to prison with a long sentence. Sancar thanks Loki. Loki smiles at the other inmate, his plan is in effect.
Yahya and Kavruk show up at Kamil’s house. Kavruk goes to the back of the house. Yahya bangs on the door. Kamil! Open up! Don’t hide! Necdet is scared, what will we do now? Kamil motions to go out the back. Kamil opens the door and Yahya grabs him. Where is Necdet? Why did it take you so long to open? Kamil says Necdet is not here.
Necdet goes out the back and runs into Kavruk. Kavruk pretends he has a gun in his pocket so Necdet runs back inside where he is immediately caught by Yahya. Yahya slaps him around. Where were you going ? Where have you been? Necdet plays the family card [really, Necdet?] You should have thought about that before attacking my SIL. Yahya asks Kavruk how he cornered Necdet. Kavruk laughs and shows Yahya his “gun”. They laugh.
Necdet says beat me to death if you want. Yahya gives him a couple more slaps. Why would he do that? The police will be here very soon to take you to prison. Necdet runs out of the house and the police are already there to take him. Ha, Kavruk blows on his “gun” as they take Necdet away. Mission accomplished.
Loki is hiding his knife and staring at Sancar. Kemal tells Sancar that Necdet has been arrested. Sancar asks if Necdet can be sent to this cell. Kemal is hesitant; he asks Sancar not to take advantage. It’s just a favor, Sancar says, Necdet is my wife’s brother. He’s family. Kemal says don’t push it. Sancar reminds Kemal he is his son’s godfather. Aren’t you going to help me?
Kemal admits Sancar has done a lot for him. Sancar isn’t looking for something in return. He just wants Necdet here. Sancar wants to look him in the eyes and ask him why he planned this attack. Kemal is worried about a fight. Gediz assures him there won’t be any fighting. We will just talk. Kemal gives in, but no more favors. Sancar smiles, let’s not make promises we can’t keep. Kemal leaves.
Sancar hugs and kisses Loki. You did it! You’re the best! What did I do, asks Loki? Muhsin steps in and says, you got the man who attacked his beloved woman. Congratulations! Gediz says this calls for a celebration. Let’s celebrate with tea. Gediz says there’s nothing else to worry about. The smile disappears from Sancar’s face. He tells Gediz don’t make me hit you. Muhsin sits with Sancar, she’s safe now so stop fighting. I guess you’re right, Sancar replies.
dondi356
We end with the world worst couple: Akin drives Muge home. Uh, oh. They stop at the door. Are you ready to go in, he asks? Muge is not sure. On one hand she wants to shout to the world the love she has for [slimeball] Akin and on the other hand she’s thinking of her brother. She sighs.
Akin tells her she must listen to that part. Your mother is not well right now, in material or in spirit. But as we said, when we get over this, we will go see them holding hands and… What, Muge asks? Since Gediz is in prison, he won’t greet me with a punch in the face. You’ll see, little by little they will get to know me better, he says. Muge says her brother is not that kind of person but Sancar is.
She asks Akin if everything will turn out alright. Akin puts his hands on Muge’s face, looks her in the eyes and replies, that’s why I’m here, mi vida. I will do anything for us and for the whole family. I promise you, okay? He pulls her in to his slimy arms.
And we are out.

Thank you, Diana. I so enjoy taking in all the events through your eyes and eloquent writing...just mesmerizing!
Of all the abhorrent things that happened, Eddy watching Fausto beat Olmo is engrained in my mind the most. What this child ihas witnessed at such a young age is bound to leave some very deep scars. He is adrently grasping to overcome all the darkness and with Faby's help, h emight have a chance. If he does tell anyone about what he just witnesssed, I think it will be Octavio.
"Jass eats at the kitchen table...I’m a criminal he admits."So is Jass finally getting a conscience and realizing what Fausto has turned him into? For Eddy's and Emi's sake, I hope so!
Jarifa, "I could not believe that Ivana threw Delia out." That was totally unexpected! I cnanot believe Ivana fell into Melida's little trap. If anyone is adamant tha Olmo is alive and will reurn it has been ivana...so why is she now thinking that he may not return??? And thnk you, for pointing out Beatriz Morena! It just hadn't clicked until I read your comment. Maybe when Vera gets out, she will ask the attorney to look into Candida's case (crossing fingers!)
Thank you, dondi356! Reading your recap is like watching the episode all over again, but with a little pizzazz that your sides add it becomes even more captivating.
Kavruk was rockin' in this episode! I love the looks Kavruk gives when he knows he has done or said something that makes others writhe with fear. When he told Refika, "Are you going to tell the truth, or should I write a poem about it?" I was rooting for him to continue. And another highlight for me was: "Kavruk pretends he has a gun in his pocket so Necdet runs back inside" I had to laugh at what an idiot Necdet was to fall for that!
[Halise doesn’t get stressed she just gives it to everyone else] Yes! We all need some Xanax after her scenes, but a nice cold cocktail will also do :)
Again, regarding Halise.. [did she say, her mansion?] I cuaght that too! So now she thinks that this mansion is hers too??? That was odd!
About hiding the money...[But should they trust Ayse?] Once again our thoughts are in line! Does Nare even know Ayse??
About Lokman: "He tells Sancar, Lokman died, now everyone calls me Loki." Well, how about adding "t-o" to that. Loki-to would be so much more fitting :-) And yes, the ominous background music, is a sign of not good things to come!
"Menekse knows what’s coming." Oh yessiree! I just love watching her squirm! She and her motherIL can squirm themselves all the way to middle earth!
Thanks again, dondi! You are the best!!
Rgv Chick, thank you for your very kind remarks. "Of all the abhorrent things that happened, Eddy watching Fausto beat Olmo is engrained in my mind the most. What this child ihas witnessed at such a young age is bound to leave some very deep scars". Perfectly stated. Just horrible...
Yes, Eddy might confide in Faby who would urge Octavio be told. However, it's complicated as he never told her anything that had transpired previously so that leaves him in a precarious position of how much to tell. I have faith in him! Sadly, I have no faith in Jass, who is drowning in alcohol, a lost conscience and having crossed the murderous line from which he can never return.
I keep wondering who will get "home" first - Vera or Olmo???
Jarifa, I smiled at your Desamor caption. Gone but very much alive in our memories and hearts.
Diana
Thanks Dondi...you did it again. Maybe I can stop watching and just read your recaps :>)
Another revelation with this epi...1st we find out Muge has a hidden novio and now Meneske has a skeleton in her closet.... Loki is/was her man. What affect does this have on Sancar...and what does he do about it when he finds out. Why did Meneske hide this...and are she and her weasel of a brother hiding anything else....hmmm. Who else knows a bout Loki.
And glad Halise knows that her friend has her number on the attack. Not likely but hope she stops harassing Nare since someone else knows she aint so innocent...high up on her pedestal of righteousness. Can't wait to see her faint in front of Sancar when he calls her out for planning the attack on his baby's momma.
Nett
Thanks, Rgv Chick and Nett.
This ep belonged to Kavruk! People shouldn’t sell him short. Kinda like Elvan.
I wish someone would tie Halise to a chair and gag her. Her pounding on the door and yelling for Melek was beyond irritating. Enjoyed Kavruk telling her she has experience but has learned nothing. What cold cocktail do you suggest, Rgv Chick?
“Lokito” is a good one, Rgv Chick. I couldn’t get over the looks on Sancar’s and Gediz’ faces when they talked to him. It almost seemed like the actors were trying not to laugh.
Nett, the plot thickens. You ask great questions.
IMO, the sound track/score to this show is excellent and adds a lot without being intrusive.
dondi356
Dondi, Dondi, Dondi, thank you for catching every detail of this potboiling episode.
Halise is a loudmouthed bully who likes to threaten people. We can see the apple ...or olive ,,,doesnt fall far from the tree. Hellonwheels and sonny Sancar both need anger management help. Sancar would be furious if he knew how she was screamibg and scaring Melek.
Loki is adding a crazy new twist to the story . Maybe Meanie isnt as innocent as she wants to appear.
I, too, wondered if that cash is safe in that house.
I am glad that Nare has Kavruk and now Refika to befriend her. I wonder what will happen when she finds out about Mug and that devil Akin being together. Which mansion is Akin buying..Hellise 's or Refika's?
Gracias Diana for your excellent recap!
I kept yelling at my TV screen; “Eddy, take out your iPhone and take a pic of the laptop screen with Fausto beating Olmo.” My shouts were in vain!
LOL, Susanlynn, ”We can see the apple ...or olive ,,,doesnt fall far from the tree” .
The difference I see is that Sancar’s anger revolves around his relationship with Nare, otherwise he’s not really a bad guy. We see and hear examples of his kindness and generosity to others and he doesn’t make a big deal out of it. People seem to respect him. On the other hand, his witch of a mother, is a bully and a control freak and she treats everyone horribly including her own children.
Akin wants the Efeoglu mansion. He plans to take everything from Sancar, including Nare.
dondi356
Thanks Fe!
An excellent thought which unfortunately did not occur to our Eddy. I have to admit, I would have been so shocked and upset, I doubt I would have done anything other than stare at what was transpiring, just like Eddy.
We have to hope that what Eddy saw will result in Olmo's rescue and even more urgent, Fausto's capture. Both deserve jail, but Fausto will sacrifice everything, his children included for vengeance.

By doubting we are led to question, by questioning we arrive at the truth. -Peter Abelard
{(Previously from Diana) Pedro goes to see Vera and suggests that he adopt Nico since Ivana is very serious about carrying out her nefarious plan. Vera replies, “There is no need for you to adopt him because Nico is your son!” Pedro, finally privy to what we already know, reels from this pivotal revelation…}
Pedro finally speak--Vera had told him a thousand times that Nico was not his son! He felt it but she denied him his son! Vera apologizes, but Pedro continues to chide her because she kept the best thing in his life from him! Vera denies taking anything away from him, he gave up on them…and she tried telling him a thousand times. When Pedro retorts that she was too busy getting married to Olmo for reasons unknown to him, Vera asserts that she is not the villain here!
Faby tries to call Eddy because she has been waiting for him for hours. Meanwhile, Eddy sits in a daze as Fausto rambles on about art. When Fausto notices that Eddy seems uninterested. he tells Eddy that they can continue some other day.
Julio tries to talk to Fausto but Tadeo tells him that Fausto is very busy.
Vera is looking at the picture that Nico drew when Candida comes in asking if she wants to talk. When Vera admits that she hasn’t been able to sleep, Candida states that she couldn’t sleep during her first days either, but eventually she got used to it. Vera then confides that Pedro is her impossible love.
Gaston visits Marina who asks what happened to her father. Gas lies and tells her that their father is fine; he hasn’t come to see Marina because he has to rest. Marina then tells Gas that she remembered that she and Pedro are no longer together...but she wants Pedro to come see her.
After Vera confides in Candida about her relationship with Pedro and marrying Olmo, Candida now understands why her love is impossible. When Vera expresses that she is afraid that Pedro will leave her, Candida sighs deeply and tell her that is one consequence of being in prison….those who you think are unconditional will end up abandoning you.
Faby goes to see Eddy at his house. She asks him why he didn’t show up the day before, so he curtly tells her that he just didn’t want to go. Emilia quietly approaches Eddy’s room and listens as Faby reproaches Eddy for clamming up and being rude whenever something is obviously wrong. Eddy refuses to say anything so Faby leaves. Emilia enters and scolds Eddy for not wanting to talk to anyone. She tells him that if he doesn’t confide in anyone, things will explode and he will end up getting hurt.
Pedro takes Nico to a clinic to get another DNA test . Teo, who is with him, can’t believe that Vera would alter the results. Pedro is frustrated; when he starts to think that he knows Vera, she comes up with some surprise…he wonders if he ever really knew Vera. Pedro is going to concentrate on protecting Nico. When Teo wonders what will happen with Marina, Pedro firmly states that he is willing to confront anyone and anything for Nico.
Tadeo tells Fausto that Julio keeps insisting on talking to him, but Fausto isn’t in the mood for talking business. It’s time to have some fun…
Pedro tells Teo that the doctor called to tell him that Marina is starting to remember things. Teo advises that he should take advantage of Marina’s progress and talk to her about a divorce….Pedro can finally have the life that he wants.
Tadeo pulls Olmo up on a chair. When Fausto wonders what happened to his cocky attude, Olmo repeats that Fausto is dead and asks him to take his. Fausto tells him that it is time to fulfill one of the laws of humanity—an eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth. He aims his gun and shoots Olmo in the knee!
Pedro and Teo are with Nico at the park when Lucia calls. Pedro tells her that even though he doesn’t have the DNA results yet, she can start the process to get custody of Nico.
Alberto goes to see Delia who tells him that Ivana ran her off. Alberto thinks that Ivana has been out of sync ever since Olmo was kidnapped. When Alberto tells her that he will talk to Ivana about allowing her back, Delia refuses to return unless Olmo is there…and that may not happen. She then gives Alberto the keys to the study.
Lucia goes to see Vera. She tells Vera that the process to get Pedro custody of Nico has started. Lucia also tells her that things would be easier if Vera would tell who sent her the message that was used to get her in prison, but Vera only replies that if she knew something, she would have told them already.
At Grupo Casares, Gas tells Pedro that Marina is starting to remember. When Ivana slithers toward them, Gaston tells her that Marina is starting to remember, but the first thing she remembered was Olmo’s kidnapping…and she was so upset that she had to be sedated. After Pedro and Ivana start arguing, Gaston tells them to calm down, Marina needs all of them to be united…and that includes Laiza and Delia. Ivana then tells them that Delia left the house.
At the prison cafeteria, Yoli and her hoodgals start to harass Vera, so the guards restrain all of them and take then away.
Gaston and Pedro gang up on Ivana…they know Delia would not leave of her own volitions. Ivana mocks them since as they are finally together on something. When Pedro chides her for destroying the family, Ivana hisses that neither Delia or Nico are part of the family. As long as Olmo does not appear, things will be done as she says! (And viewerville asks, “Whyyy???”)
Jass goes to see Fausto. He wonders how Fausto can be so calm with all that is happening with Nico and Vera. When Jass questions if Fausto is going to leave Vera in prison, Fausto assures him that he is not!
Lola and Julio confab. Lola worries that Fausto might have a file on all of them. Julio assures her that Fausto is mainly interested in him. Julio then realizes that he has the upper hand because he has the shares that Fausto wants.
Ivana goes to see Marina and spreads her seeds of doubt. She tells Marina that Vera has been arrested for Olmos kidnapping. When she adds that Pedro visits Vera in prison often and is taking care of Nico as if Nico were his child, Marina asks if Ivana thinks that Vera and Pedro are having an affair.
Gaston goes to see Delia and assures her that she is a very important to them.; his father would never have allowed her to leave. Delia remarks that Olmo is not there…and she knows who gives the orders now.
Eddy goes to see Faby at school. He wants to talk but Faby reminds him that she already gave him a chance and he didn’t take it. Eddy insists that he has something very important to tell her
After Delia says her good bye to Gas, Gas asks Laiza to help him convince Delia to return to the house, Laiza reminds him that he is a Casares and they are only the help. When Gas tells her that he loves Delia and he also loves her too, Laiza wonders what he wants her from her…does her want her to be his lover and his confidante; she refuses to settle for a bit of affection while he has a baby with Melida! She then asks Gas to leave her alone, she wants an opportunity with Gabriel.
Eddy tells Faby that he cannot tell her what is happening in his life right now; he can only tell her that he loves her and that he wants to make her happy. Faby scoffs and wonders how she can be happy with a strange boyfriend, crazy parents and a kidnapped uncle! Eddy gives her a comforting hug as she cries.
Olmo lies on the floor in pain. As he drags himself, he moans in pain and shouts, “Kill me! Kill me now!” Using the speaker and altered voice, Fausto tells him that is the way he wanted to see him! Crawling and begging for mercy!
Octavio tries to convince Ivana to leave Nico………he is already suffering enough, When he adds that children shouldn’t have to carry the weight of their parent’s mistakes, Ivana knows that he is referring to Faby. Octavio thinks that Faby should know the truth, but Ivana tells him that it would break Faby’s heart to know that Alberto is not her father. Octavio wonders if Ivana is defending Faby or Alberto...and Ivana wonders if his look is that of hate or desire. She gets closer and kisses him; and though difficult, Octavio resists and tells her that this is not going to happen. Ivan smirks as Octavio quickly leaves.
Gonzo tells Pedro that there is no trace of his adoption documentation. Pedro can’t believe it! He doesn’t know where he came from and now he finds out that he is a father. Pedro rants that Vera kept it from him for a long time. He doesn’t know how he can love and trust someone who doesn’t love or trust him! Just then, Lola approaches so Pedro turns his anger on her. Lola admits that she knew Nico was his son, but it was not her place to tell him. When Pedro asks if she thinks that what Vera did was right, Lola counters that Vera was only trying to do what she thought was best for Nico…and Vera was protecting Nico from him since he dumped Vera six years ago.
Eddy gets a prepaid phone and starts to write a message.
Alberto is in Olmo’s office when Faby comes in to talk to him, but when she gets a text that gives her an address where she can find her uncle, she runs out and catches up to Octavio who is about to leave. When she shows him the message, Ocatavio thinks it might be a sick joke, but he will still check into it. He then calls RoAcha and tells her that an anonymous message has been received with an address, but RoAcha refuses to take the message seriously. Octavio insists that he will go check himself...and if he finds Olmo, he will be the one to take the credit.
Alberto goes upstairs and notices that Ivana has already changed to another bedroom; he thinks it’s time for a divorce. After they argue about Alberto getting into Olmo’s study, Ivana insists that they are partners and accomplices. She uses her sultry tone as she continues that she wants him as an accomplice to manage the company, look after the family’s interests and take Olmo’s place if necessary…until doth part them (hopeofully sooner than later!), Alberto is quickly sucked into Ivana’s seductive act.
It seems that Roacha has decided to take the anonymous message seriously after all. She gives her team orders to go to the address but not using the sirens. One of the men sneaks quietly away and calls Tadeo to give him the heads up.
Pedro and Gaston go to visit Marina who is all smiles when she sees Pedro…as long as she and Pedro are together, nothing else matters.
Tadeo drenches the hideout with gasoline as Fausto gathers his money and files. After Fausto yells to Olmo,”We’ll see each other in hell” I’ll be waiting for you!” he and Tadeo start to exit; and Fausto orders Tadeo to make it burn!!
Alberto and Ivana are in bed post coitus (thank goodness we were spared!). Ivana thinks it’s question and answer time; so she asks him what he knows about Olmo. After Alberto replies that she probably knows more than he does, Ivana asks what he knows about Granados, but Alberto feigns ignorance. It Alberto’s turn to ask questions so asks if Ivana would want everything to be theirs. Ivana smiles wide!
Tadeo and Fausto run off as the house is engulfed in flames…and smoke starts to fill the basement where Olmo lies and starts to cough.
Pedro goes to visit Vera. He somberly tells her that he is going to take custody of Nico, his son…and he won’t let anyone take him anywhere even if he has to tell the world that he is his father. He will continue to support Vera so that she can be released from prison…but there can longer be anything between them!

RGV Chick: I am sooo looking forward to seeing the downfall of Olmo, Ivana & Co., soon!
44 more episodes left in this chaotic mess.
Thank youV Victoria! I’m working on the 2nd Ed of the “Coming Soon” page so this will be helpful.
The title is one of my favorites RgvChick. Your recap was spellbinding and there were so many excellent lines, choosing would be similar to selecting from a field of fragrant flowers.
"Hoodgals" and "Ivana goes to see Marina and spreads her seeds of doubt" were great but "until doth part them (hopeofully sooner than later!)" was my favorite (death or doth, both perfect).
Clever Eddy...ingenious idea and picture perfect timing sending that text to Fabi. And then immediately destroying the evidence, using his brains and talent for good. You could see how frightened he was, shaking and staring, eyes wide open.
Hate has made Fausto savagely obsessed and cruel beyond belief. He seems to now be focusing on Eddy whom he likely wants to mold in his image. Viewerville cringes and cries Never!
"Candida sighs deeply and tell her that is one consequence of being in prison….those who you think are unconditional will end up abandoning you" was a startling, realistic admission.
"When Jass questions if Fausto is going to leave Vera in prison, Fausto assures him that he is not!" Do we believe him??? Nopis. "Julio then realizes that he has the upper hand because he has the shares that Fausto wants". My dear galan in waiting, if you truly believe that, there is no hope.
"Faby scoffs and wonders how she can be happy with a strange boyfriend, crazy parents and a kidnapped uncle!" But she does. Uncomprehendingly, she has sweetness and strength at her core, unfazed and unaffected by her mother's insidiousness.
Pedro keeps forgetting it is he who left Vera years ago. And Vera fails to realize that she really has not provided any sort of viable explanation as to why she married Olmo.
Looks like a homecoming is inevitable.
Magic RgvChick, just magic. Thank you!
Diana
RGV Chick, thanks for your snappy recap this a.m.
"(thank goodness we were spared!)": too bad we were not also spared from Olmo getting shot in the leg and Vera getting her face pushed into her food. In real life, Olmo would be long dead by now. Antibiotics keeping him going?
How long until Vera finds out who killed her mother and Pedro finds out who killed his father? Hope it is sooner rather than later.
Diana, "Pedro keeps forgetting it is he who left Vera years ago. And Vera fails to realize that she really has not provided any sort of viable explanation as to why she married Olmo." So well said! That perfectly describes where we are now. it is so simple except they have made it so complicated.
OT
Victoria, thanks for the link. YAY! "La Reina del Sur 3" is on the schedule!! I cannot wait!
Muge says to Akin, shall we go in? Refika comes out and she doesn’t look pleased to see Muge with a man. She asks who is this? Muge says, don’t you remember Akin? [yeah, we’d all like to forget him, too] Akin steps in, don’t worry, it’s been years. He kisses her hand and says but you are still just as young. I would recognize you wherever you are. Refika is flattered.
Ah, she remembers, and her smile disappears—aren’t you Guven’s relative? Akin asks her not to mention him. Muge says Akin no longer has contact with the ambassador. When he found out what happened, he came here for us. Refika wants to know how Akin found out. She’s not happy. Do you two talk? What is going on?
Muge says it’s not like that. Akin says it’s been years since we’ve spoken. One day I was chatting with Nare and she told me about Muge and where she was working. I took the chance and I’m very glad I did. Both Muge and Akin laugh.
Refika says she is sorry he came from so far away because it’s too late. He takes her hands and tells her, I came for this reason. To be with you in your situation. Sancar and I are old friends, he says, just like Muge. And I thank you for letting Nare live in your home. Let me return the favor, he says. I’ll make up for all the damage Guven has caused. Refika looks a bit skeptical. Muge happily goes off to make coffee. Meantime Akin says he’ll go upstairs to “surprise” Nare. [understatement of the year]
Nare is reading a bedtime story to Melek. Nare reads: “why are you so bad?” “because you have a world, and I don't. I do not have anything.” Melek asks, those who have no world attack the world of others? Nare says not everyone does that. Some people are unhappy in their own world and that’s why they attack others who are. Melek asks like who? Nare uses Melek as an example, there are some angels that sleep all day but don’t let their mothers sleep….they both laugh. Nare tickles her daughter.
Akin quietly enters the room during the tickle session. Nare turns to face her horrible surprise. Melek sees Akin, gasps in fear and clings to her mother. Surprise, says Akin. Nare is alarmed, what are you doing here? She hurries Melek into the bathroom and locks the door.
Melek is crying. Nare tells her, don’t be afraid. Akin knocks, I’m only here to talk to you, Nare. She tells Melek she is going out to talk to him but stay in here and lock the door. Promise you will lock the door as soon as I leave. Melek shakes her head no and continues to cry. Nare assures her it will be okay, promise. Nare gets a pair of scissors out of a box. She goes out and tells Melek to lock the door. Melek locks it.
Nare faces the demon. He looks at her with the scissors. What’s wrong, he asks. Do you think I’m a monster that would hurt a girl? [past behavior predicts the future] Nare threatens him, if you don’t leave now, I swear I will finish what I started. You won’t do that, mi linda, he says. Sancar is in prison and if they lock you up, little Melek will be all alone.
Why are you here? What do you want? I came because you are here, he says. Everything is as it should be. Sancar is where he belongs, and we are together. Soon I will buy his mansion and you will be my dear and beautiful wife. Are you insane, she asks? I will never marry you. You raped me, or have you forgotten?
dondi356
Akin thinks this is a bad choice of words on her part. He wants her to think about it. He came to tell her about his great love for her. What? What are you talking about, you ruined my life and you talk about love? Is that love?
According to Akin it is. Tell me how love should be. Should I marry someone else, like Sancar? He gives Nare a recital of his greatest sins: Who has waited for you for ten years? Who would rape you, so you belonged to only him? Who else would spend money on your father just to be with you? Who sent Sancar to prison so he would be far away? I ask you, Nare, who loves you—Sancar or me?
Ah, you set up Sancar and his friend. How did you do it, she asks? Tell me what you know. I know your weaknesses, he says. Do you know what your father’s weakness is? Gambling. And Sancar’s weakness? Doubt.
In a rush of anger, Nare pushes Akin against the wall and put the scissors to his neck. You shut your mouth! If you don’t, I’ll kill you. You won’t do that, he says and she backs off. Akin calmly tells her, do you know your weakness? Those you love. They always confuse you. Best to get rid of those people.
Nare tries in vain to push him out of the room. She shouts, I will not let you hurt him or anyone. Akin tells her, do you think I can’t? I managed to destroy the lives of many people. What you don’t realize is as long as you are not my wife, I will continue even if I have to get rid of everyone, until you and I are alone on this Earth. Think about this, please, and I’ll go downstairs and have coffee with Muge and Refika. He leaves and she locks the door. She gets Melek out of the bathroom. The poor girl is traumatized and crying. They hold on to each other.
Lokito walks down the hallway singing a song about the colorful bird (alaca kuş), the ambassador’s daughter (Sefirin Kızı), and something about Efe’s regret. I wish they translated this, my Turkish is not good and neither is Lokito’s singing in the echoing hallway.
The guard lets him in to Sancar’s cell. He’s still singing [Lokito has a death wish?] Sancar rushes him shouting, I’m going to kill you, you bastard! Gediz pulls him off Lokito. Are you going to kill him because of a song?
The following doesn’t make sense to me, maybe it was in the song: Lokito says, Efe forgot his beloved married someone else. I thought he wouldn’t care. Sancar makes another attempt to get Lokito. Gediz pulls him away. It’s not worth it. Sancar tells Gediz, like you? You are worth nothing!
Sancar and Gediz start pushing and shouting at each other. They have to be separated. Lokito quietly leaves. Muhsin steps in, why are you fighting? Sancar blames it on Lokito. Muhsin’s not buying it. You are driving me crazy, he says, you can’t fool me. Gediz makes a crack at Sancar, you are sorry because you wouldn’t have been so upset if you weren’t.
Muhsin throws his beads at Gediz. Muhsin addresses both Sancar and Gediz, it’s difficult to find someone to talk to at this age. And you two destroyed you friendship. Sancar says it’s better if Muhsin doesn’t get involved. Muhsin won’t get involved but he tells them to go out into the yard where they can fight or walk, he doesn’t care what they do. But when you come back, he says, you will behave like real men. Go!
Nare finishes Melek’s bedtime story. Melek says she’s not sleepy. She wishes her dad was there. Nare says you don’t need your dad not to be afraid. The door is locked. There’s knock at the door. They both look worried. It’s Muge, are you sleeping? Nare goes out into the hall to talk.
dondi356
Are you okay, Muge asks? Akin said you weren’t feeling well and that’s why you didn’t come downstairs. Nare asks if he is still here. No, he’s gone. Muge says, he was getting along well with her mother. Nare wonders how Akin knew she was here. He didn’t tell you? He came to see me at the hospital and he asked for you. I brought him so he could say hello.
Muge senses that Nare is upset. She thinks it’s related to the recent attack. She reminds Nare that she is here for her as a friend and a psychologist. Nare asks her if she really thinks Akin went to the hospital or… she stops herself, thinking. What is it Nare? Did Akin tell you something? No, he didn’t say anything but is there anything I need to know, Nare asks?
Muge looks uncomfortable. She says Akin doesn’t want anyone to know yet, but she would like to share it because she trusts Nare like a sister. Muge sighs and hesitates a second. Nare has a very worried look. Nare… Akin and I love each other very much. Nare is quietly horrified. She puts her hand over her eyes and turns away. Muge asks her if she is angry, and she would understand if she felt that way for not telling her. Please don’t be mad.
Muge says Akin told her that marriage isn’t his thing and if everyone knew they were together for so long, they would go crazy. Muge didn’t know what to do. Nare asks how long they have been together. Since you left, she says, you ended things here and we began. So, no one knows about your relationship? Not even Gediz? No. Akin and I don’t see each other very often and before formalizing our relationship, I didn’t want to introduce him to Gediz.
Muge appreciates that Akin has come now that Sancar and Gediz are in prison. He said he wanted to come and meet my family. Nare asks, so you’ve waited for Akin for eight years? Yes, and Muge thinks it was worth it. She’s never thought of another. She is so in love. Nare asks her if she believes everything Akin told her and adds, that’s what happens when you are in love. Muge laughs and nods. Nare is troubled.
Sancar and Gediz keep walking at a furious pace out in the yard. Sancar says they will stay another hour and then go back. Yes, and then we will behave like men, Gediz says, That will be a great act. Are you looking to win a prize, Sancar? Sancar stops walking and calls Gediz and idiot. Gediz continues, you’ve made my life impossible for days but you believe that idiot Akin without hesitation.
Sancar stops Gediz and says, I don’t trust you with the ambassador’s daughter and much less Akin. You don’t trust Nare, but you make her pay, Gediz says, you don’t trust me, and you make me pay. You don’t trust Akin but what will you do? Sancar says his punishment could be the worst of all. Gediz wants to know what that punishment is? What did you do? When did you do it? Sancar sits, sighs and won’t answer. He gives Gediz a very slight smile.
Akin goes home. Guven is on the phone. He was speaking with the director of property crimes. I asked him about the investigation. They have looked at banking record, they looked at the shell companies that received money from the mayor’s office. They finally found who was responsible for the fraud, Guven says looking pleased. Akin says, so they found Sancar and Gediz. Did you ask about the mansion sale? Guven doesn’t care about that. All he wants is to witness the moment those bastards are sentenced.
Back to the prison yard. Gediz is still at it. If you don’t trust Akin, why did you throw Nare out? Sancar is not in the mood. Gediz says, don’t lie, you believed Akin. Sancar says he believes no one. Whatever, that’s your business, and Gediz sits next to him, Sancar Efeoglu—doubts. Sancar tells Gediz to be quiet. What will we do with you, Sancar? You don’t believe your beloved, you don’t believe your best friend.
dondi356
But you do believe, right, Sancar asks. The ambassador’s daughter told you a story and you believed. Sancar says now he’s going to tell a story. Do you want to hear? Gediz is all ears.
Sancar starts, once upon a time there was a very poor child. That boy met a girl who was so beautiful, like a fairy. He interrupts his own story to ask Gediz, do you know the legend about the farmer’s son and the ambassador’s daughter? Do you know what it is to fall in love with a beautiful fairy? I saw her twelve days a year. Our love grew as we did back then. I didn’t understand why she loved me. I didn’t even have money to buy tea for her. She was the ambassador’s daughter, who could conquer the world if she wanted to. I had nothing, but she loved me. Sancar smiles as he speaks.
We get the flashback to the time at the beach when Sancar and Nare made their commitment with the seashell.
Sancar continues, we made our engagement with seashells. His smile fades, then she betrayed me. I said to myself, you don’t even have money for tea, why would she want you? Gediz says she tried to tell you…yes, Sancar says, I didn’t listen. I was too angry. I was stupid.
Kavruk told me a different story, that she jumped from the cliff and turned into a bird and left. I went to see if she jumped. If she jumped, where was she? I was going to find her lifeless body and hold her but she wasn’t there.
I called Akin and he told me that she went off with someone on vacation. I didn’t believe him, not one word. I worked like a beast for a whole year just to get a passport and a ticket to Montenegro. And you saw her, Gediz asks? No, she was living in Switzerland with her boyfriend. She was happy with someone else. Gediz says that seems like another of Akin’s stories. Yes, says Sancar, I didn’t believe it either. So I called Nare. Do you know who answered? Her boyfriend. Gediz can’t believe it.
Sancar says it wasn’t a lie, it was real. I heard with my own ears. The ambassador’s daughter asked that man, “who is it my love?” I swear it was her. Gediz puts his hand over his face. He says, so when we met in Istanbul, we met at the airport. You were very sad. Sancar is crying, he turns to Gediz and says, now you heard my story. Are you still willing to believe her? You only heard one story. Now I understand that all the legends are false. If you can’t believe in a legend, what can you believe in? Sancar gets up and goes back inside.
Elvan wakes up alone in the bed. Yahya slept on the floor! She sees a jacket on the dresser and goes through the pockets. She finds Menekse’s bracelet! She wakes him and holds the jacket. What is this? I took it from Necdet, he says. He left it behind when he tried to escape. I kept it. Did they catch him, Elvan asks? Yes.
And why would he have this bracelet? She thinks back to Menekse’s missing bracelet. Yahya wonders what Elvan is thinking. Elvan makes the connection: Menkese gave the bracelet to Necdet and knows about Nare’s attack. Elvan doesn’t tell Yahya and he goes back to sleep.
Elvan bangs on Halise’s door. Necdet is in prison! How do you know, Halise asks. Yahya told me. Where is Yahya, Halise asks. Sleeping in the room. Halise runs out. Menekse goes to follow but Elvan stops her. She flashes the bracelet. Does this look familiar to you? Menekse plays dumb, where was it? Elvan lets her twist for a few seconds… ah, yes, it was in Necdet’s pocket.
Did you give this as a payment to attack Nare? It’s not what you think, says the desperate Menekse. My brother did this on his own. He wanted to save my marriage. I was furious when I found out. You told me that Sancar split with Gediz over Nare and he would ask me for a divorce. I tried to talk my brother out of hurting Nare, so I gave him my bracelet.
He didn’t listen.
dondi356
And Elvan isn’t believing her BS story. But she is going to tell Sancar when she visits him. She sings Menekse a song on her way out, as only she can deliver: la verdad, la verdad, la verdad saldra y al final de ti, Sancar se va a divorciar. The walls are closing in on Menekse.
Halise finds Yahya down in the hotel lobby with the rest of the family. She’s ticked he didn’t tell her about Necdet’s arrest. He felt it wasn’t necessary to wake her up to tell her. He wonders why she’s so upset [we know] Elvan and Menekse show up. Did Necdet say anything, Halise asks? No, the police took him before he could say anything. How did you find Necdet? Yahya mentions that Loki helped them. Menekse looks sick.
We get a flashback to Loki and Menekse. He’s playing with a knife. He wants to ask for her hand. Menekse tells him to be patient it’s not time yet. I haven’t told my mother. I don’t know If my brother will allow it. Loki warns her to do something about it because if she marries anyone else, he will kill him. Uh, oh.
Loki is in the same prison as Sancar, Yahya says. Menekse asks what’s going to happen to my brother? He will go to the same prison as Sancar and I’m sure my brother will take care of him. He will beat him every day, knowing Sancar. Halise and Menekse look at each other.
Muhsin thanks Sancar and Gediz because they have food at the table everyday.
The cell door opens with a new arrival. Necdet enters and Sancar’s eyes lock on him. Necdet starts to sweat. Sancar says, everybody out and they file out quickly. Sancar and Gediz approach Necdet. What are you going to do, Necdet asks? I’m not worth the extra sentence you will get for attempted murder. Sancar thinks it’s worth it because he dared to touch his little girl’s mother. But you’re lucky I won’t do anything to you, Sancar tells him. Gediz calls Necdet an idiot who will get a long prison sentence.
Necdet doesn’t understand what happened. He only told the guys to scare her and not hurt her. Gediz asks if Menekse made him do it. Speak, Necdet, Sancar says. Necdet doesn’t answer and Sancar shouts, why don’t you answer!
No, Menekse didn’t make me do it. She even gave me her bracelet so I wouldn’t do it. My sister wanted to protect the ambassador’s daughter from your own mother, Necdet says, that’s the truth.
What? Sancar can’t believe what he’s hearing. Necdet says, Mrs. Halise is the one who told him to do it. WOW! Not what Sancar was expecting!
And we are out!
dondi356
Dondi, thank you for another detailed recap.
I really Can not stand to see poor , little Melek terrorized . Hellise and Meanie are awful , but Akin is truly the devil . I will have to stop watching if Akin continues to threaten and scare Nare and Melek is a witness to this abuse. Sancar has to stop being a macho idiot and start working on getting out of prison . Nare needs Sancar and Gediz to protect her from Akin and Guven. And yikes...Muge was a true friend to Nare , but now we (and Nade) learn that she and Akin have been lovers for 8 years !!!! Que??? This show is going to give me nightmares .
I hope Hellise is sweating it . What will Sancar do now that Nec has told him that Hellise hired him to scare Nare and Meanie tried to stop him? ( ....He forgot to tell him that she changed his mind and told him to go after Nare.)
Jarifa, if Olmo lives (and it appears that will likely happen), finding Fausto will be first and foremost.
Pedro being in analysis may bring him to the truth about his father's murder shortly. I fear the only way Vera will find out the truth is Eddy. His handling of relaying Olmo's imprisonment was inspired. But this is just one terrible truth. Much is resting on his youthful shoulders and hope lies in him bringing in Faby and Octavio to uncover the truth.
It seemed Fausto was in agony with his knee last night. Could it be sympathy pain in conjunction with Olmo's wound I ask grimly??
Diana
Thx Dondi...your recaps are always so helpful. Wasn't sure what Loki was yodeling about so you helped clear up some details. Looks like he's going play an interesting role in this TN going forward. He has a interest in seeing Sancar sink....and Necdet as well since he allowed Meneske to marry someone else. Loki obviously not to be trusted and still has feelings for Meneske. Wonder if Loki going to jail allowed her to pursue Sancar. And did she lie to Loki about meeting her family?
So glad Necdet partially confessed by ratting out Hellise. Too bad he protected his lil sis and didn't explain her role in Nare's scare as well. But for now, both Hellise and Meneske are sweating. Gediz asked Sancar if he would go light on the perp if it turned out to be a relative...and Sancar said no. We know he won't put his hands on his mom...but hopefully he dresses her down enough so that she gets off that high horse. Irritating that she doesn't remember from whence she came.
The site of Akin is sickening. How he gets to run around and barge in on Nare like he's a saint and didn't do anything wrong. He is delusional. And how is he going to get out of his "relationship" with the Muge....and marry Nare. He's crazy. But Nare should take note that he's not above hurting Melek. Didn't say that he would get rid of everyone until only he and Nare are left...that says he's capable...and willing to do something to Melek to control Nare.
Hopefully Nare won't take forever to tell Muge what Akin did to her. I wanted her to tell her as soon as she started talking about their 8yr relationship but guess she thought it wasn't the time. She can't let Muge go on thinking this guy is a saint. He's coming to the rescue to save Muge's family financially...something he instigated...hopefully they won't over look what he did to Nare for the money....like her own father did.

Thank you, Diana and Jarifa!
Diana, "(death or doth, both perfect)." I had to laugh LOL That was actually supposed to be "until death doth part them." I'm hoping that is a bit of foreshadowing :-)
Eddy and Julio are both treading in murky waters, but Julio is the one who is most in danger since Fausto has him in his sights already. As long as Fausto doesn’t know that Eddy knows what he knows (got it? :-), then Eddy is safe (physically).
It's inconceivable to me that the younger ones are more sensitive and sensible than the so-called intelligent adults. Both Faby and Eddy are surprisingly strong and resilient. Maybe it's because they have not had years of experiencing a lifetime of betrayals and disappointments.
Jarifa, "How long until Vera finds out who killed her mother and Pedro finds out who killed his father?" probably much later...like maybe the last week of episodes :-(
Diana, "It seemed Fausto was in agony with his knee last night. Could it be sympathy pain in conjunction with Olmo's wound I ask grimly??" I second the "GOOD ONE!" 🤣
Chickie, thank you for another great recap of all the malice and treachery.
Ivana has turned into the wicked witch . She wants to be large and in charge and doesn't seem to care a bit about her dear cuando Olmo anymore, so evidently she was just smarming around him to be close to his power and money. I am hopeoing that there is a huge anvil in her future. She has become increasingly cruel and merciless now that Olmo isn't there. She has crowned herself the big Cheese in the mansion and wants everyone to bow and obey her commands.... Ugh
Dondi I missed the episode from wednesday night, to tired from work to read. But girl it was a real humdinger when I read it today. I
Don't get why sanjar is so pist at
Gediz and he is not even married to
Nare, so what does he have to he so
Stupid jealous about? I wish he would stop calling her "the firggin embassadors daughter",it's so annoying. It's like they want us to remember the title of the show. Ok sancar repeat After me, n-a-r-e. It will be a good episode when he does calls her by her name.
The worst couple on the show: Akin
And muji. What the hell was her problem? What was she thinking? She has no idea who this monster is. I think he is in love with himself.
Why would guven think it would be a good idea to adopt this rapest? Why
Am I asking about this? We already know. But we don't know about mujis
Mindset. She seemed desperate. She will be hurt but she'll get over it.
So gediz's grandfather was not a very good friend to mister Efeoglu.
He stole his inheritance. Now he couldnt live with it on his death bed but he did manage to live with it for 70 80 years? Enjoy the money
And gold and olive oil or rather the money that came from all the sales of the sale of the olive oil.
And gediz's mom and dad didnt want to give it back.and even tho gediz
Probly took the money to put the screws to daddy at least sancar and
Family got there inheritance back
And the even put an extra million
With it.
Have I mentioned I can't stand akin
And hell-lise and mean-eske. Put em
All 3 in a large barrel and send it
Over the falls. A big wave would probly split them back up.
So why is uncle muhsinbin jail? He knew about theft and didnt say not a word?
Their prisons are very different.
They eat good and they get to cook their own food. But it's true there
Is danger there to. Uncle muhsin or whatever his name is is kinda funny
How long has he been in there any way? Poor fella.
Hell-lise is still queen bitch, and
Very bbn ungrateful. She'll get hers soon Enough.
Ok now I will read the one from last night tomorrow.
Thank you Dondi.
H A P P Y♡E A S T E R patio. Stay very safe.
Nina...agree with your thoughts on Gediz's family....including gramps. He waited till he was on his death bed ....after he had enjoyed the spoils of the stolen goods and couldn't use them anymore...to get a conscience and do the right thing regarding the inheritance. Better late than never but it doesn't make him a good person. He probably on did it to have a better afterlife...still a selfish move. But....Sancar and his family did finally get what was rightfully theirs.
Yeah...I notice in other turkish TNs...their prisons are set up a lot different from those in the U.S. There can still be violence and issues but seems like they have move freedom regarding meals and who provides them...as well as other things. Still interesting that even in prison, Sancar walks around like he's the man. Oh well.... I too wonder why the older tio....as well as Loki are in prison....guys that will be revealed in the future. H
Muge....who waits for a man for 8 years....seeing him every once in a while...and still thinks they are truly novios... She has issues... Hope she's not too devastated when she finds out he's only sniffing around to get to Nare...and not her. And hopefully he won't harm her...to get her out of the way. Remember, Muge thinks she has a future with Akin...how does he untangle himself from her...to go after Nare....in the the light of day.

RgvChick, Your recap was superb, como siempre.
Good points made about Fausto having sympathetic knee pains after shooting Olmo in the knee. Actually, I thought Fausto’s knee was hurting to remind the viewers of what Olmo had done to him, unless any of us had forgotten and wondered why Fausto shot Olmo in the knee, instead of killing him.
Victoria, Tadeo is Fausto's right hand henchman, bodyguard.
I find him fascinating but alas, so far we have no backstory on him. He appears to be ruthless and unemotional. Fausto seemed to have caused Julio's brother's "accident". It will be interesting to see how he came under Fausto's control.
Diana
Thank you, Susanlynn and Fe!
Susanlynn, "Ivana has turned into the wicked witch ." All she needs is the big wart on her nose...and for someon to throw som ewater on her :-D
Fe, thank you for reminding us tha Fausto was shot inthe knee.I hadn't made the connection...must be all the chocolate bunnies I've been eating :-D
Have a glorious day, Patio! HAPPY EASTER!! 💐🌷🌹
dondi356, another masterful recap! Thank you!
I too was wondering what Loko was singing about, but with your interpretation, now Gediz asking Sancar if he was regretful makes more sense.
Akin is a really sick man. He is actually proud of how he proved to Nare that he loved her--by raping her to make him his! UGHHH! SICKOOOH!! Whenever a villain(ess) goes on a rant about all that they did, I keep wondering,"And where is the phone so they can record this and show the world what a %^$# the beast is!?"
I don't have much more to add, but I do have a question--maybe something was messed up in the translation but at the end, NecRAT told Sancar, "La Sra. Halise me OBLIGÓ..." The literal English translation would be "Mrs. Halise obligated me to do it" Considering the literal translation, dare we being made to belive that NecRat really expects Sancar to believe that Halise FORCED him to kidnap Nare?
Have a glorious day, Patio! HAPPY EASTER!! 💐🌷🌹
Thank you everyone for your kind words and insightful comments.
I went back to the original ep to listen carefully to Loki’s bad singing and what he said afterwards. He sang a few lines from the song about the legend. I posted a link a while back to the song and lyrics. Afterwards he said, “Sancar Efe forgot his love and married another”. I was confused by the captioning. Apparently, my Spanish is just as bad as my Turkish.
Univision cut a scene after Sancar and Gediz returned to the cell. Someone’s playing the bağlama and they sing "Ah Bir Ateş Ver", a folk song from İzmir. I think it’s worth watching. They look at each other at the line: Arkadaşlar uykulardan uyansın/Friends wake up from sleep

I have a visceral reaction to Akin when he comes on screen.
Rgv Chick, in the original Turkish, Necdet said Halise “organized” it.
Happy Easter! Got the baked macaroni and eggplant parm in the oven as I write!
dondi356
I am making roast chicken, white and sweet baked potatoes, green beans , corn pudding, cranberry salad, biscuits .
thanks for clearing that up, dondi. I had a feeling that it was the translation into Spanish that was off.
OT-
I had some delicious bbq’d baby back ribs, potato salad and Mexican rice...traditional Easter meal in my area YUM!!!
Dondi Dondi Dondi. An excellent recap. I like your name. Is it short for something?
Sancar should stop calling people
Idiots. He has no idea how foolish he looks treating nare the way he does. He told gediz that story of the bird jumping and how he would have went looking for her body he'd hold. And he so stupidly believed the lies that akin setup. And He actually swallowed it lot-stock and barrel. If nare were to tell him it was a setup he still Wouldn't even believe her, cuz he stupid!
And akin is a master liar. Hes been stringing poor blind mugi along for 8 years, poor girl. And nare don't
Even have the heart to tell her the
Truth. Which she probly would not believe anyways. Gediz and kavruk are the only ones that believe her.
Sancar is a butthead. An arrogant
One too.
The only one more arrogant than he is is akin. He lies as easily as he
Breaths. And people believe him.
Schmucks. And Sancar is the biggest one.
Speaking of liars, these nuggets of
Crap akin recited to nare: Who has waited for you for ten years? Who would rape you so you Belongs to Only him? Who would spend money on your father just to be with you? Who sent sancar to prison so he would be far away? I ask you, nari, Who loves you-Sancar or me? And He really believes himself. Wow! Heres
Another load of bull:"What you dont realize is as long as you are not my wife, I will continue even if I have to get rid of everyone, until you and I are alone on this Earth".
Ya know he sounds familiar to me.Do
Yall remember another psycho named "Emir cuscoglu"? This guy could be his twin. They both have black evil
Hearts. And all that love talk does
Is making him sound more like a psycho, which he is.
"All he cares about is to witness the moment that both bastards are sentenced". I'm not so sure that's gonna happen. Sancar has planned something. I wonder what.
I hope sancar believes necdet. There is a chance he will. Or wont.
He believes what he wants. And He blames everybody but himself. He still don't believe nare. I thought he was coming around. Well whatever hes done to akin I hope it happens
Quickly cuz the devil has come to setup house in his town.
Guven is still a jackass.
Thank you Dondi. Great recap.
Happy ♡ Easter patio.
Biscuits. Yummo!
Ivana has lots of worts, most are on her check, not that close to her nose. But their presence is really bothering me.
Diana, great recap from Thursday night. I just read that one. THE best part of the episode was when
Vera told pedro he didnt need to adopt nico, "nico is your son".
Jow he needs to do a DNA. And be so
Careful UK l of the move he makes next cus marjan will find out and
There will be trouble.she may try to claim nico as her own with ivana
Pushing it. Vera wont stay on jail forever.this is about it to be a dark mess before sun comes out.
And eddy has a mess on his hands to
Who is he gonna tell. Poor kid. But
He will make it through.
Thank you Diana.
Something I forgot to ask about, is
Candida's son julio, cuz she said that vera is in love with her son.
Shes not talkin about Olmo is she?
That sounds like something he would do, blame his momma for killing his abusive daddy. Maybe I read it wrong?
Nina, Julio is not Candida's son. When Vera asked why Candida was helping her, Candida responded that it was because Vera loved her (Vera's) son...meaning Nico. So essentially, Candida is helping Vera because she is a good mother who would do anything to protect her son.
