Wow Muge's reaction to Nare....snatching her purse was disappointing. Nare did nothing wrong but reveal the truth to her about Akin. Hope she comes to her senses...or least use her professional training to realize that she should not direct her anger at Nare. It was Akin that misled and used her all this time. But understand the wound is fresh.

And Gediz feels really stupid as well....he really didn't know his sister. And he should be angry at Akin so both he and Sancar should want to beat the crap out of Akin. Gediz at least appears to be thinking rationally although his feelings are hurt. He gave Nare good advice...think of yourself. And she is right...given the lack of support around her and the constant torment of having to be in Akins presence all that time....she's not had time to heal...and probably was on edge and had trama all this time. She needs counseling more than any of them at this time...she suffered the worse.

And Sancar ...his issues appear to be beyond counseling. He's so mistrusting and rude and brutish. How many time must Nare tell him she was not Akins lover...he raped her...why would she want to be with the man that raped her. Sancar is an A-hole...who thrives in his willful ignorance. He doesn't want to know the truth...so quit asking. And quit torturing Nare with his accusations. And why does he keeping pay Guven for info and help. I get he knows Guven is motivated by money but he doesn't deserve 1 cent from any of them.

Dondi..thanks for your great recapping and insights as usual. I need to digest Elvan's motivation to marry Yaya some more. I get that she admired Halise...and therefore is disappointed in her but I'm still see that she wanted the perks and standing that Halise had. Maybe not as gold digging as Meneske's motivations but still questionable. All the same...just another ego blow for Yaya.

ACUERDAS Episode 49 Omnipresent, Omniscient, and Omnipotent

The treacherous are ever distrustful -Tolkien

A werewolf and a she wolf take their measure of each other. El Chamaco has considered other offers but he is most intrigued by Ivana’s. Before the deal can be finalized, he asks the inevitable question: will she go to his suite with him?

Initially, Ivana looks startled…but she acquiesces and goes along. El Chamaco shares one of his father’s sayings: “Entre negoció y negoció mete un ocio” (Between business and business take a break). When Ivana wonders what kind of break, El Chamaco asks what she is imagining. He was only referring to having a toast in private...although he did want to see how far she would go. She is assertive and he likes that. They toast.

Ivana runs into Alberto in the hallway, he is concerned, asking if she is all right. He warns her to watch her back as he knows El Chamaco’s type. Ivana can watch her own back she asserts but Alberto reminds her he knows she appreciates his presence and that she can count on him. Ivana agrees having a bodyguard is a good idea to which Alberto tells her to stop acting like that. He reassures her they can recapture what they had.

Pedro quietly gets out of bed, grabs his clothes and leaves the bedroom. Alas, Marina is awake, quickly dresses and follows him.

In a happier place, Faby is speaking to Eddy under a sheet tent, lit by a flashlight. It’s not quite her beautiful hideaway room with the soft strings of light, but it will do. Faby feels terrible having missed school. After he tells her that she can cross that off her wish list, she tells him that she definitely won’t do it again. When her mother took her home, she could hardly walk and she didn’t like that feeling. Further Faby muses, her mother has threatened to ship her off to the US, to a boarding school in South Carolina! Eddy tells her that he has seen pictures of SC and it looks really nice. She frowns and he apologizes. He suggests that she throw away her wish list. She cries that there must be something they can do! Eddy, always supportive and reassuring retorts that Faby is sharp and will think of something. When he suggests maintaining a long- distance relationship, she retorts that if they can’t see each other living in the same city, she can just imagine what it will be like if she goes to the US. At this rate, they will never be able to be together!

Pedro arrives at the hospital where Vera is curled up in the bed with Nico. He tells Vera he had to come since she wasn’t answering her phone. After Vera explains that Olmo was with her, she tells him that she hasn’t eaten. He offers to get something but Vera prefers to go herself and asks Pedro to stay with Nico. Vera takes her bag and leaves. Pedro wonders what Nico is dreaming about. As he says, “I dream about spending much more time with you, son; if it were up to me we would never be separated.” Marina peaks from behind the curtain and listens. He continues, “I would be there whenever you need help, when you are sick, I will always be there by your side...and I love you, my little son.” Vera returns and tells Pedro he needs to leave. If anyone saw him, they would have to explain. Marina listens, tears flowing.

Marina gets home and back into bed before Pedro returns.

ACUERDAS Episode 49 Omnipresent, Omniscient, and Omnipotent Part 2

Gabe and Laiza are sweetly kissing in the kitchen. I warrant the restaurant kitchen has seen more action than the bedroom! Laiza asks if Gabe will go to his home or hers. When he says he is very tired, Laiza is disappointed because she has a surprise for him...more like a proposal. She was thinking that they should move up the wedding and get married in two months. Gabe is surprised but Laiza questions why they should wait; she is dying to be his wife! They will be together forever.

The next day Olmo warmly greets Nico and Vera’s return. Nico runs to Delia for a hug and tells her there were no hot cakes at the hospital, so Delia promises to make him some. When Olmo asks if there is a treatment that Nico needs to follow, Vera replies that he has to eat well, exercise, etc. Nico tells Delia that he got blood of superheroes. Olmo comments that Nico won’t be going to school and Vera agrees that Nico should take a few days off to rest. When Vera says shewants to go to the office, .Olmo tells her to stay home and take care of Nico. He will handle things at the office.

The next morning at breakfast, Ivana thinks that it’s time that Cuca be let go...she is more of a bother than a help. When Faby intercedes that Cuca just wants to help, Ivana remarks that Olmo is strong and can do for himself. Olmo agrees...and if he needs help, he has his loving wife to help him. He adds that Delia is there too...she is willing to help as well – and declares that after all, she is the heart of this house. Mélida walks in and tells them that if they have plans for the afternoon, they should cancel them. She has something important to announce, and it is especially important that Olmo be there.

Marina asks Pedro what is going on but he says nothing. When she asks where he was last night, he tells her he went for a walk...and explains he has the bandaid because he cut himself at the office. He tells her not to worry. Interestingly, Marina is stroking a huge knife which Pedro takes from her, seemingly unalarmed. When Pedro announces that he is leaving because he has things to do, Marina complains that he never has time for her. He assures her that he will be back.

Marina takes a handful of pills and calls Andres. He arrives and she tells Andres that yesterday was the worst day of her life. Pedro left the house last night and she followed him, discovering something horrible. Andres asks if Pedro was with Vera. Marina cries that it was worse; she could forgive an infidelity but she found out they have a son!

Marina continues crying. When she comments that Nico is six years old, she figured out that Vera is the woman from San Gines. Andres tells her not to overreact...it is too coincidental that the person who Pedro had an affair with would show up and marry her father! (which shows how naïve you are Andres!). Marina insists that it all fits! When Andres asks how she can be so sure that the boy is his son, Marina cries that he was saying things that are only said to a son. Andres advises that if it is true, she needs to talk to Pedro. When Marina retorts that it would be impossible, Andres wonders why.

ACUERDAS Episode 49 Omnipresent, Omniscient, and Omnipotent Part 3

Marina is afraid that if she confronts Pedro, she will lose him forever. Everyone thinks she is weak, but she can tolerate much...and she is not going to hand over Pedro to Vera on a silver platter. When Andres points out that it’s not good to be with someone like that, Marina insists that Pedro knows that it is she that he needs to be with.

Marina gets Pedro’s laptop and figures out the password. She sees the DNA test results and starts hyperventilating. She freaks out that the woman who her husband cheated with is right here...and she is married to her father!!

Vera goes to see Nico who tells her that Pedro is there. She gets a call from Lucia and gets bad news about Candida...Candida’s father- in- law bought off the judge.

A hacker shows Fausto that Julio has plans to run off to Canada. Fausto tells Tadeo that they have a meeting with Julio in the afternoon...he should prepare himself.

Julio prepares to go meet with Fausto although he is afraid something will go wrong. After Octavio assures him that nothing will happen to him, Julio tells him that he will call him right before getting to the meeting and will leave his phone on so Octavio can hear everything. Julio never makes the meeting as Julio is grabbed by Tadeo and forced at gunpoint into the back of a van. Fausto tells Julio that it is time to stop playing games. Julio won’t give him the shares because Olmo will kill both he and Vera if he finds out. Fausto states that if he doesn’t give him the shares, what good does it do him...he could kill him right now.

Julio explains that he bought the shares to pressure Fausto to help Vera when she was in prison. Now that Vera is out, he will turn them to Fausto but not yet. Fausto threatens that if Julio works against him, they can always visit his brother...or his novia.

At the the Council meeting, Gaston gets a text that Julio is running late. Lo and behold, in walks Alicia as Olmo’s stares, his mouth agape. She remarks that she missed these boring meetings and tells her rep that he can leave. Olmo tells her that she is more beautiful than ever, but flattery gets him no where, she asserts she knows he is lying. She then turns on Ivana and tells her that it is good to see that she moved up in the company...had Alicia been there, things would be different. Alicia then asks for an explanation about the amplification of the capital.

Pedro presents the finance information, but Alicia disagrees with their recommendation. She refuses to vote unless Raul Bernal’s rep is there to vote too.

Later, Olmo complains about Alicia showing up...she will ruin everything. Gaston thinks that Pedro is the best person to convince Alicia to vote for their recommendation. Pedro calls Teo and tells him about Alicia showing up. Teo shares how she behaved with Gonzo. Pedro then tells Teo that he is supposed to convince Alicia to vote in favor of their recommendation.

Vera talks to Fausto and tells him that she is not waiting on him anymore. She feels all alone and doesn’t trust him...but there is something he can do for her. She has a friend in prison who she wants out and if he gets her out it will be as if he helped take her (Vera) out.

Pedro breaks into his old home finds toys from his childhood along with a video camera.

ACUERDAS Episode 49 Omnipresent, Omniscient, and Omnipotent Part 4

Pedro calls out to Marina reminding her that they need to go to Gaston’s meeting. He is surprised to see Andres who introduces himself. When Pedro tells him that he can leave and he will take care of Marina, Andres questions if he really will. Pedro wonders if Marina is up to going to the family meeting, but Marina assures him that she is...and they need to be united as a family.

Ivana tells Faby to prepare for her trip. Faby asks if her uncle Olmo knows that Ivana is sending her off. Ivana replies that Olmo doesn’t make decisions about her education. Faby then asks if Ivana has the right to make decisions about the employees and wonders if Olmo knows that she ran off Delia. Faby then suggests that she won’t tell Olmo if she can stay there. Ivana agrees but she will set conditions. It appears the student has “learned” the teacher.

Pedro and Nico are playing with toys as Vera looks on approvingly. Olmo and Marina arrive and lead Olmo away to the gender reveal. A box of balloons are opened and the blue signifies it’s a boy! Clapping and hugs ensue. Laiza later watches from her home, broken hearted. Gabe kisses her and asks what is it? Laiza brushes his concern aside saying she has a headache. He tells her now that they have set the wedding date, she needs to tell her mother.

Julio tells Lola that they will only leave when all is over. When he tells her that he loves her very much, she tells him that then he should get on the plane with her the next day. She chides him for trying to wait until all of Vera’s problems are over and cries prettily.

Vera and Pedro steal a few moment by the cars. They kiss as the theme music plays. Vera thanks Pero for all he has done for Nico. Pedro tells her there is no need to thank him...he would do anything for his son. He knows that it seems impossible, but he swears that they will be together as a family one day. When Pedro spots Edson watching them, he wants to confront Olmo and tell him everything, but Vera points out that this would not be the right way for Nico to find out that he is his father. Vera wants to talk to Olmo herself when the family leaves.

Gonzo thinks that Teo doesn’t care how he feels. Teo will never defend him against his grandmother. He saw how Alicia treated the waiter and she treats him like dirt and yet Teo remains quiet. Teo retorts that his grandma is old... and he owes her his life...he can’t just go and attack her because of her shortcomings. Gonzo isn’t asking that Teo attack her, he is asking that Teo support him and stalks off as timid Teo has no response.

Pedro stares at a non-sleeping Marina. She picks up his phone and texts Vera pretending to be Pedro. She asks to meet him at the stable,s but Vera responds it isn’t a good idea. When Marina writes “ I must see you,” Vera agrees.

Pedro views the recording his father made indicating that if the video is being seen, something has happened to him...he just hopes that his son will survive. Tomas’ son doesn’t deserve what his partner, Fausto Galicia, wants to do to him. Finally, his father mentions that the company he helped found turned into a money laundering business for organized crime.

Fausto and Tadeo discuss getting Candida out in order to regain Vera’s trust. They will pay off the judge...and if that doesn’t work, Fausto notes the judge has a family, the inference chillingly clear.

Fausto calls Julio to ask where the capital is coming from that Olmo wants to invest. Fausto then orders him to vote against the recommendation. Julio then tells him that Alicia has asked to meet with him before the meeting.

In the last scene of the evening, Olmo walks up to Pedro, asking if what Edson said is true…

A BIG reveal for Marina. I too wonder if she'll go running to daddy. She does surprise us, though; so who knows what she'll do. We know she is still wanting Pedro glued to her side and if she tells daddy then she's pretty much condemning Pedro to the devil; so maybe she'll think of something else.

Geez, Alicia gets more hateful with every scene. Helena Roja sure is playing the part weel...and probably having a good laugh afterwards.

I thought for sure Julio would be a goner, but I guess Fausto still has use for him. I guess it helped that Julio told him tha tthe shares would end up being his anyway.

Watching ACUERDAS this morning with your most excellent recap since I fell asleep watching it last night. Thanks, Diana.

Ivana passed the El Chamaco test.

Marina is going off the rails. Self-destructive. Yawn.

Laiza wants to push up the wedding to a man she doesn’t love as much as Gastón. Self-destructive. Let’s watch her watching the gender reveal. Yawn.

Alicia’s true worth was to put the screws to Olmo and Ivana. She must know that capital can easily walk out the door. Pedro is going to change her mind. I hope not.

Yay! Vera didn’t forget about Cândida. She could be a worthwhile ally because she has a brain.

Pedro should have been happy that Andrés was there to take Marina off his hands. He should have lacked her bags and written them a check.

Yay! Fabi got one on Ivana plus a good sarcastic comment about Mélida.

Showing their lack of smarts, Pedro and Vera just have to kiss in the parking lot in plain view of ANYONE let alone Edson.

Gonzo needs to accept that there will be no big happy family with Teo AND granny. If he cannot accept that, he needs to let Teo go.

Pedro doesn’t lock his phone loaded with incriminating evidence while living in a nest of vipers?????

Wow! That tape was an eye-opener. Too bad Olmo wasn’t implicated.

I wonder what exactly Olmo is referring to in that last scene. I cannot see Edson turning Vera in over the kiss.

Diana, thank you so much for another excellent recap as this saga spins toward the end.

I agree that Faby has learned the art of manipulation from her mother .

As Ivana becomes more and mkre arrogsbt and power hungry , it was satisfying to see Faby outwit her and Alicia put her in her place . So how dies Alicia fit into thjs story .? Was she an originsl investor ? Now we know how Teo and Pedro became friends.

The baby gender reveal right in tne midst of all this swirling drama was funny. Melinda thinks everything revolves around her ....but nobody....nobody else does.


I hope Fausto's evil powers work this time to get Candida out of jail. The power of corruption ...her MIL using it to keep her in jail whike evil Fausto uses it to get her out...irony in action .

RgvChick, I also think Marina is going to keep this not so savory morsel of information to herself. Marina has dug her heels in and is determined to hold onto Pedro no matter what. As you noted, telling Olmo would not be in her best interests.

Thank you Jarifa! I love your comment that "Alicia’s true worth was to put the screws to Olmo and Ivana". Too bad she is such a beyotch. And yes, Teo cannot have it both ways, he has to cut ties with Alicia or give Gonzo up, although Gonzo may already have had enough and made the decision for both of them.

Jarifa, whatever Edson said to Olmo, I'm fairly certain that he didn't squeal on seeing Vera and Pedro. Olmo would have been livid and rather than ask the question, would have retaliated immediately.

Susanlynn, I appreciate your kind words. Faby is so smart and she uses her intelligence not to harm, but to protect.

I can't answer as Alicia's role in all of this..."Melinda thinks everything revolves around her... but nobody....nobody else does" had me smiling away.

I think Candida has been and will be pivotal to this story's resolution. At least Fausto is using his money to right a terrible wrong for once.

Embajador #33 part 1

Nare asks Sancar if he will testify against his mother. He doesn’t answer. He turns and leaves, walking right past Elvan, who asks Nare what happened. I asked him if her would testify against his mother, she says. Ugh! Elvan waves her hands at Nare, runs to Sancar’s truck and hops in before he takes off.

Are you ok, Elvan asks Sancar? Find Yahya, Sancar answers. Nare has a has a right to press charges, she says. He repeats, find Yahya. Do it.

Yahya meets Halise at the hotel. Why didn’t we meet at the mansion, he asks, why are we here? Halise says, I know you took me there to see your sister and wife, but they shut the door in my face. How could I stay? Who dared to do this, Yahya asks, was it Elvan? No, it was the one I gave birth to, Zehra, Halise replies. Yahya figures—she is the one more like Sancar. Halise asks if Yahya has given the money. Yes, he has and Necdet’s men said he didn’t hire them. Halise thanks Yahya. She tells him he is the most grateful son. She adds, if my name was brought up in court, I would have lost my reputation. [that’s already ruined with the patio]

Refika visits Orhan and his wife in their new home. Orhan asks Refika if she settled her differences with Halise. Why, asks Refika, is she angry with me? She fishes--did Halise say something to you? Orhan says, when your son was in prison, she stayed at our hotel. She said very strange things, like how the Isikli family stole their inheritance. Uh oh. Orhan’s wife asks if this is true. Refika takes offense, what is wrong with you? Would we steal an inheritance? That woman doesn’t know what she’s saying. The mother of her granddaughter was recently attacked by the mafia. Refika is going to call Halise now.

Halise answers her phone, I’m not in the mood to talk to you, Refika. Hello, dear Halise, Refika says, how are you? You seem to have told Orhan a lot of things. Why don’t you tell me when Necdet goes to trial? That’s not your business, Halise answers, so shut your mouth. Besides, Necdet is not going to trial. We are getting him out of prison, so swallow your happiness. Refika’s got nothing on Halise now. She sheepishly tells Orhan and his wife, Halise sends her greetings.

Halise spots Guven having a coffee. She strides on over to him, you bastard! After all the slander you said against my son, how do you dare enter our hotel? Guven turns the tables, it is you who must answer, since there was an attempt against Nare. How dare you speak to me like that, he says.

Halise orders Yahya to get this man out of the hotel now. Yahya doesn’t look willing to do that. Not possible, Guven tells her, Sancar personally invited me to stay here. What, Sancar invited you? Yahya throws in a weak, damn you, Sancar for effect. I guess they invited you, too, Guven says to Halise with a smile, I believe they kicked you out of the mansion. Halise is stunned for a second, then dumps Guven’s coffee in his lap! I hope it wasn’t too hot, Yahya says, you should change your clothes.

Sancar and Elvan arrive at the hotel. He asks where his mom is staying. The Sultan Suite. Where is Guven Celebi? Room 1311.

Sancar bangs on a room door. Guven hears banging on his door. Is it Sancar? No, it’s Nare!

Sancar is banging on his mother’s door. He grabs Yahya and shouts, why don’t you ask me before you do things? Don’t do this to your brother, Halise asks. Sancar lets him go but he is still plenty angry. Yahya tells him, look at her, she is not only your mother, she’s mine, too. You’re punishing her like you punish everyone, but I will save her.
Sancar asks his brother, what is your problem? Why this resentment? Sancar yells, is it to save mom or challenge me while you hide behind her skirt? Yahya is indignant, I can’t even challenge you? I hide behind my mother? And I can’t be a spy? I can’t do anything? Sancar has his answer.

Embajador #33 part 2

You think you saved your mother, you fool? The ambassador’s daughter deserves justice, no? Yahya asks what Sancar means. Elvan speaks up, Nare will file a complaint against your mother. Halise didn’t expect that. How can she report me, she asks in a panic, I am your daughter’s grandmother, Sancar. Are you scared, he asks her? You asked them to attack your granddaughter’s mother. It’s just.

Halise tries to reason, how many time did I tell you I didn’t want it to happen that way. What was your intention, Sancar asks? If she hadn’t escaped, what would have happened? What if they killed her! Every time I imagine it, I go crazy! She has suffered too much! She was alone with three men! Halise gasps.

Yahya says, but nothing happened [really, Yahya?] She is safe now. Let’s forget this. Why does mom have to be in trouble. Sancar speaks with restrained anger, everyone will have problems. My mother tried to take the life of a woman who is also a mother. He turns to his mother and says, I will testify, we’re all in trouble. Halise stutters, you will be her witness? She gasps. Sancar tells Yahya he is leaving and asks, will you stay or come with me? If you stay don’t call me. Yahya’s staying. Go think about how you will put your mother in jail, he says. Sancar leaves.

Next stop for Sancar, room 1311. He bangs on the door, open up! Uh, oh. Nare is still there. Guven tells her to hide in the bathroom. She reminds him, don’t forget what we said. Don’t tell him anything.

Guven opens the door. Sancar immediately grabs him by the throat and drags him into the room. How I treat you depends on you, understand? I could leave you alone in peace or I could get angrier. Should I choose now, Guven asks? This is a warning, Sancar replies. Guven asks him to calm down so they can talk. Sancar’s not ready to calm down yet. Do you remember when Gediz and I asked about the spy? Why did you lie? Sancar shouts, don’t tell me you don’t know, or I will kill you right now! Your daughter showed me the video of you talking to Akin about Muge.

Nare is listening. Guven asks, what did you want me to do after you threatened me with boiling water? If I said it in front of Gediz, he would have taken that water out of your hands and burned me with it.

Sancar lets Guven go. Guven sits but Sancar stands. Sancar asks, why did your daughter come back from Montenegro? Nare is waiting to hear her father’s answer, too. Guven wags his finger at Sancar, you told me there was going to be a profitable deal. If there is no deal, Guven says, there will be no answers. Ok, Sancar says, here the deal—answer me and I will keep you alive. After all this is my hotel. No one will question if something bad happens. If I wrap you up in that rug, no one will say I got rid of a corpse. So tell me, why did Nare return from Montenegro?

Flashback. Nare speaks to the security camera in Podgorica. I’ll tell Sancar to protect our daughter. Everyone will be where they deserve. Efe and his daughter happy in their homeland, and the ambassador and his daughter in hell.

Nare worries as she waits for Guven’s answer. Guven answers, she punished me by bringing my granddaughter to you because she knows I hate you with all my soul. Likewise, says Sancar, but what does this have to do with Akin?

Akin, what do I care about Akin, Guven asks? Sancar goes for Guven’s throat again. Don’t do this! I’ll go crazy! [already there] I know well that your daughter came from Montenegro because of Akin, answer me! What does Akin have to do with it?

Embajador #33 part 3

Guven claims he has no idea. You know that we are not partners in my daughter’s misfortune. Sancar gives a frustrated grunt and lets go of Guven. Ok, so you don’t know but do you know where Akin is? No, Guven doesn’t know but he could find out. Do you know what I mean, Guven asks. And when I find out, I know who I’ll tell first. Sancar says it will be him. Guven says you know this is happening to me because of Akin. I no longer have a profession.

I’m looking for money, Guven tells him as he rubs his fingers together. If it’s a deal, I will tell you first. Name your price, Sancar says. If you keep the deal, I will ask for two million euros, if you break it, you will give me an extra million. Nare knows this is going to be bad, she silently cries. Once I have Akin, I’ll pay you, Sancar says and storms out.

Nare comes out of the bathroom. You won’t tell him where Akin is; you will keep your mouth shut. Guven reminds her what she said before Sancar showed up. You said you would give me money if I shut up. I’ll start the auction, he says, whoever pays me more will have me on their side. Nare says, here I thought you were acting as a father. If it were so, Guven says, I would deliver Akin to Sancar. One would go to prison and the other to the grave so I could save my daughter from those men, like a good father. He winks at her. You’ll never be a good father, and with that, she leaves.

Nare sends Gediz a text: could I come to see you? I need to talk to you. Gediz is out on his balcony, watching his sister crying out on the patio. Gediz answers Nare: of course, I’m home.

Elvan and Yahya return to the mansion. Gulsiye answers the door and pulls Elvan aside. Why did you leave me with the phony Efe woman, Menekse, she asks Elvan. She made our lives difficult all day. Her husband won’t come home, and she takes it out on us.
Ah, Elvan will take care of this. Menekse comes out of her room and yells for Gulsiye, who arrived? Oops. Good evening dear, Elvan tells her, I heard you were bitter today. Menekse asks Yahya where Sancar is. Yahya doesn’t know. Menekse gets irritatingly whiney. What do you mean? Don’t you work at the same place? Why doesn’t he come home? Do you know?

Elvan says, poor abandoned woman, I guess he had to go to a quieter place. Menekse asks Yahya if he is hiding something from her. If Sancar got a house for that woman and if he’s living with her…. Yahya’s heard enough. Why do all women’s minds work the same way, he says, full of insecurities and problems are greatly exaggerated? [is he talking about women or himself?] He can’t take it anymore and he goes to his room.

Elvan has some parting words for Menekse, don’t be delusional. If you pretend again to be someone you are not while we are gone, I swear I will beat your beautiful face. I’m warning you. Menekse retreats to her room. Gulsiye is pleased and Elvan breaks into one of her songs. They laugh.

Elvan goes to her bedroom. Yahya tells her he’s grabbing his pjs and going. It’s for the best she says. She can’t share the room with someone who springs the mafia from prison. Then we feel the same, he tells her, I can’t sleep with a woman who is not my wife, but rather my mother’s victim. Ah, you’re angry with me because of yesterday, Elvan asks, did you feel bad because my MIL has authority, and you don’t? She continues, I was wrong about you. I didn’t understand what kind of people you were until today. Had I known, I wouldn’t have cconsidered being with you. [Wow, Elvan!]

Embajador #33 part 4

Yahya throws his stuff and shouts, our marriage is over! Forever! Take your ring, and your bed. He throws his wedding ring at her feet. He storms out of the house. Elvan picks up his wedding ring and cries. Yayha speeds off in the Mustang.

Nare comes to see Gediz. She sees Muge out on the patio and goes to her. Muge doesn’t respond to Nare’s greeting. Gediz is watching from above. Nare tells Muge, I know it hurts a lot, but I don’t want to you to think you are alone, I’m with you. I’m really sorry but I had to tell you . I couldn’t be silent.

Muge rips into Nare, you shouldn’t have said anything! Why did you get involved? Why did you have to tell me? Why did you have to destroy everything? Nare tries to calm Muge, please, you can’t think straight right now. Your feelings are all over the place. I know, Nare says.

No, says Muge, do you know what I feel? I’ve been sitting here since the morning, crying because I’m jealous of you! I’m jealous that he loves you! I’m jealous that he never loved me like he loved you! Enough, says Nare, you shouldn’t be jealous of what I’ve lived. Muge says she knows that, but she wishes she didn’t know. Why couldn’t you keep quiet, she asks Nare?

Nare tells her you have no idea what I went through. If you want to know, ask me and I’ll answer. Maybe you will be grateful not to be in my place. Ok, answer this question, Muge says, why were you so easy with him and now you blame him?!? Muge realizes what she’s said, and she apologizes immediately.

Gediz can’t believe he’s hearing this. He comes downstairs and grabs his sister. He rips into her. What did you say, he asks Muge, why are you behaving like this? Nare asks him to calm down. Muge runs off, sobbing. Gediz can’t believe this. This is not his sister! It’s not Muge! Nare says, it’s your sister, she’s going through a bad time.

Gediz says, don’t do this, Nare. Nare asks him to put himself in his sister’s shoes. No, he’s not going to do it and he tells Nare she shouldn’t do it either. He asks her why she’s always so empathetic. She asks why he has no empathy. She tells him, Muge is going through something difficult but all you care about is what she did. That’s why you’re upset. Gediz’ problem is that Nare’s not upset. Nare says she’s not upset because she isn’t the victim in this case. She understands… Gediz doesn’t want to understand. He doesn’t understand anyone! Not Muge! Not Sancar!

He asks Nare why she finds excuses for all of them. Nare says it’s because they have their reasons, and everyone makes mistakes. Ah, so, they get it wrong and we forgive them, he asks? What a beautiful world! He asks Nare, don’t you have a reason? Why don’t you commit some mistake? You think everyone has a right but you?

Nare shouts back, of course I have a right. It’s my turn for goodness sakes! I can say things directly, Muge you’re Akin’s lover? Open your eyes, stupid! When Sancar saw the video, I could have said look at the real Akin, look for him and kill him.

For years I really wanted to say that. I wanted Sancar to know about everything so he would come and ask for forgiveness. My plan was not to forgive him and leave! I really wanted to do that! I wanted to record a video saying from now on, he would only see me on screen! I wanted to leave with my daughter! But I don’t have the heart to do it! I can’t do it! Even if he hurts me, I can’t hurt him! She’s out of breath…

Gediz says nobody is going to hurt anyone. Ok? There’s ice cream in the fridge. Nare wants to wash up first. Then she has to talk to him about something urgent.

Embajador #33 part 5

Sancar arrives at Kavruk’s. Melek runs to him. Hugs and kisses. Zehra asks, did you talk to Yahya? I’ll tell you later, Sancar says. Where’s Nare? Zehra thinks she went to see Muge. Melek tells her dad, when you are here, mom leaves and when she is here, you are not. He tells Melek it will not be like this for long. She reminds him of his promise for a house. He tells her she can look for a house with her mother tomorrow. Melek wants the three of them to go. If you can’t live with us, can’t you stay with us when we search? He can do that, he smiles at her and gives her a hug and a kiss but he looks a bit uneasy, too.

Nare practices asking Gediz for Guven’s money in front of the bathroom mirror. Not working well for her.

Refika shows up, complaining while Gediz is fixing the ice cream. She shouldn’t have gone to visit Orhan she tells her son. Gediz thinks it’s about Orhan’s wife. No, it’s about Halise. She told them “the Isikli family stole our inheritance”. Gediz reminds her it’s not a lie. She can’t escape the truth. Yes, but, it’s not a lie that Halise wanted a hit on Nare and now Necdet is going to be let out of prison. What? Refika heard this right from Halise. Gediz gives his mom some ice cream and head out of the kitchen. Are you taking that to your sister, she asks. No, to Nare. That’s all Refika needs to hear. She’s here again? Yes and she will stay, Gediz says.

Gediz brings the ice cream up to the bedroom. He tells Nare what he heard about Necdet. She knows and she’s going to file a complaint against Halise and Necdet. You weren’t going to tell me, he asks? There’s nothing to more to say, she responds.

I’d like to discuss something more personal, she says. She takes a breath then blurts, could you give me a million euros? Gediz makes a joke about borrowing in euros. Sorry to asks like that, she says, this was difficult to say. Gediz asks her who is it for, Akin or your father? It’s for dad. Gediz cracks another joke about Guven’s income being the highest this year. Gediz wants to know what the money is for.

Sancar is offering my dad a million euros to tell him where Akin is, Nare says, he will find out if I don’t give my father the money first. So Sancar wants the truth, and the price is one million? Gediz is skeptical, Sancar will fight until he gets what he wants. Not what Nare wants to hear.

Gediz says he will deposit the money in her payroll account. Uh, about that, she won’t work at the marina anymore. He makes more jokes, but he knows the reason she’s quitting. What could the reason be? Your reason is “un pobre macho”. The reason is I made a deal with Sancar, she says. She made a good deal— I’ll rent my own place, keep my daughter and I will be able to work, just not at the marina.

So, will you lend me the money or not? Gediz sighs and thinks it over. Let’s try something. Let’s make a trade. Now you are negotiating with me, she asks, you won’t give it to me from the heart? He will give her the money but only as an advance to continue working in the marina. Nare asks him not to do this. It was difficult to reach an agreement with Sancar. Yes, he knows, she had a deal with Sancar and one with him. Nare makes her case, she will have her own house, she will live with Melek…

Yes, you will, I trust you Nare, he tells her. Why are you doing this, she asks? So you don’t settle for less, he replies. I know when you want something you know how to get it. You can work in the marina and have a house with your daughter.

Nare asks him to think about himself. Your friendship with Sancar ended when I started working at the marina. Gediz isn’t concerned about that. He thinks that he and Sancar will be friends forever. We’ll get upset, but we won’t end things. He realized this from what happened with Muge. Sancar still cares. Nare agrees that showed a lot, but Sancar is extremely obsessed about me working there she says.

Gediz knows. But if Sancar acted like he should, he wouldn't make you choose. Until today, we played Sancar’s game, he says. If pay the million so Sancar doesn’t kill a man, I should be the one dealing the cards. So, answer, do you want the money or not?
And we are out.

I just do not understand Sancar. In the flashbacks , he seems like such a sweet young guy. At this point, how can he not believe Nare???

I would go for Gediz.

Hellise confronting Guven is like the pot confronting tbe kettle. ..both are despicable .

I love the way Elvan takes such joy in putting Meanie right back in her place and letting her know that she has not repkaced Hell on Wheeks as the lady of that house.

ACUERDAS, Ep. 48: More Lies and Manipulation Part 1
When you’re surrounded by a world of constant lies, manipulation, and deceit, that dark energy is bound to seep into you eventually. –Rihaan usuf

Olmo asks Vera if what Edson said is true. Vera quickly responds that Edson sometimes doesn’t see things well, but Olmo interrupts that Edson doesn’t want to carry a weapon...and asks what’s up with that. Vera admits that Edson mentioned it to her...and it was she who asked him not to carry a weapon. Olmo insists that it is only for her protection; either way he is going to order Edson to carry a weapon.


Pedro is still watching the video his father made. Tomas states that it is time to tell Olmo everything that is happening since he is the only one Tomas can trust. Olmo was always like a brother to him and a second father to his son, Pedro. If something were to happen to him, it wouldn’t surprise him if Fausto would try to blame Olmo, so Tomas declares that he is making Fausto responsible! After Tomas hopes that this video never comes to light, he tells Pedro that j el Obed i hi ml


Ivana takes Faby to school and tells her to behave. Jacqueline who is bringing her son, Santi to school approached and a Ivana is elated to see them. She knows that Santi is a top student and thinks Faby and Santi make a nice couple.


Vera tells Edson that they need to talk; she need to explain what happened testers, but Edson tells her not to worry; his job is to accompany her, not to get into her personal business. She has tested him better that anyone at that house and he can be very loyal. Another security guard approaches so Vera pretend to be giving Edson some orders.


Teo is having breakfast with his grandma when Pedro arrives. She knows why he is there...to convince her to vote for the capital increase strategy. When Pedro tells her that it was his idea, Alicia insists that the only one coming out winning will Olmo. Pedro reiterates that it will benefit her too... and she (sarcastically) wonders how good it is to have her grandson as manager of the this scrappy hotel.


Tadeo tells Fausto that the judge will cooperated since she was very happy with her gift. After Fausto tells Tadeo that they will have to go pick up Candida themselves, he hopes that Julio will have as good luck with Alicia…though is shouldn’t be difficult to convince an old lady. He then calls Vera to tell her that there is hope in getting Candida out.


Alicia gets up to leave since she has an appointment with a gentleman. She tells Pedro not to waste her time with their little games. After she leaves Teo apologizes, but Pedro thinks that he knows how to make her change her mind.


Lola talks business but Vera wants to tell her how she and Pedro were almost caught. When Lola asks if they can please talk about the job, Vera agrees and wants to look over the project, but Lola gets frustrated because she doesn’t think Vere can concentrate. She tells Vera that she needs a job where she can grow…and where she won’t be afraid. Vera agrees that Lola deserves a complete life personally and workwise...and she needs a good friend like Lola has been to her. Lola assures her that she is a good friend but she needs a change…and she is going to quit the Grupo Casares.


Tadeo goes to pick up the vehicle from the mechanic. As he drives off, the mechanic takes a picture of the license plates and calls Ramiro to ask how much he was going to pay him for info on Tadeo.

Vera tells Lola that she is doing the right thing…Vera will feel better if she is away from her so she won’t be in danger. When Vera tells her that she will miss her, Lola assures her that they will be together when everything is over. Lola then tells Vera that she is breaking up with Julio. Vera thinks Lola is making a drastic move, but Lola has thought about it and thinks it’s for the best. Vera gets a message and tells Lola she has to go meet Pedro and with Fausto. When Lola tells her not to trust Fausto, Vera assures her that she doesn’t, but she needs his support in putting Olmo in jail.
 

ACUERDAS, Ep. 48: More Lies and Manipulation Part 2


Alicia meets with Julio who gives her a gift from Fausto. She is not impressed and thinks it unnecessary. They discuss the capital increase that is being recommended…Julio comments that it is somewhat rash and odd.


Gabriel is making a video of his customer’s review of the restaurant. Lola takes the opportunity to make some recommendations for redecorating the place to make it more inviting…and she introduces herself.


Vera meets with Fausto who first tells her that he could not help her with Candida, but then shows her a video of Candida thanking them for her release. Fausto asks if this is sufficient for Vera to rust him a little.


Alicia asks if they should invest in the Grupo Casares. When Julio replies that Raul prefers not to and asks if she will. Alicia, being very astute, asks Julio to tell Raul that she is no child who needs to be seduced. She had already decided to vote against the recommendation, but now she is having doubts. An associate who asks another to not invest just to give others a hard time, is very odd…there is something here that she doesn’t like.


Laiza calls Marina to ask for her help in preparing for her wedding when Gabriel brings in Lola and introduces her since she will be helping with redecorating the restaurant. Since Marina can’t go with Laiza to look for a wedding dress, Lola offers to go with her.


Vera goes to the stables and is surprised to see Marina there. Marina asks if she is looking for her husband. When Vera denies it, Marina tells her not to pretend, she used Pedro’s phone to set up the meeting. Vera tries to deny that Nico is Pedro’s son, but Marina retorts that she has the results of the DNA test. When Marina asks if Vera is the woman from San Ginez, Vera feigns ignorance, so Marina tells her that she will ask her father to see what he thinks. Vera stops her.


Ramiro gives Alberto the license plate number of Fausto’s vehicle.


Vera admits that she is the woman from San Ginez, but she has nothing with Pedro now. Pedro dumped her because he told her that he loved his wife. Pedro just found out about Nico. When Marina asks if she loves Olmo, Vera confirms that she does….it is a different love though.


Pedro tries again with Alicia. He offers to give her grandson his job at the company. When she asks why he hadn’t done it before, Pedro tells her that he has no vote on the Council, but she does and Olmo will not be able to say no to her.


Ivana and family are having lunch when Santi arrives. Ivaan invited him since he likes to play chess just like Faby does…so they can spend some time together.


Vera apologizes to Marina who thought they were friends…and she confided in her. Vera assures her that they are friends. Vera asks that Marina try to understand her ..and Vera is very grateful for all that Marina has done…she accepted her into her house and into the family. Marina remarks that Vera has the one thing that she has always wanted…a son. Marina loves her father, but she doesn’t understand how Vera could marry him. Vera replies that Olmo has his virtues (he does??). She continues to tell Marina how she came to meet Olmo who made her feel secure, protected and special. Olmo had already swept her off her feet when she found out that Pedro was his son. The only thing Vera knows is that she does not want to lose Olmo.

 

ACUERDAS, Ep. 50: More Lies and Manipulation Part 3

At the dinner table, Olmo is glad that Ivana is looking after Faby but she needs to concentrate on business. She either finds out what Octavio knows, or he will find someone who will get it out of him.

Ivana goes to see Octavio who is surprised to see her, but knows that she is there to find out what information he has. He offers her what he has, but tells her it isn’t much. She tries to seduce him as she tells him that he won’t find out anything because the Grupo Casares is clean.

Alicia meets with the Council to set her condition for her vote. When Ivana arrives. Alicia hopes that she can help her convince the others to accept her condition—she will vote in favor of the capital increases if they give her grandson his job back.

Faby and Santi play chess.

Olmo refuses to give Teo his job back…he is a traitor! Pedro points out that Alicia was very clear; if they don’t give Teo his job back, she won’t give them her vote.

Eddy hasn’t heard from Faby. He talks to Emi since he is having doubts that someone like him could go out with Faby. Emi tells him that Faby is probably busy with some other things.

While Ivana heads the discussion and the vote. Meanwhile, Olmo and Alberto murmur away from the group. Alberto denies that Ramiro has brought him any information. Ivana calls them over since they are ready to vote. Julio announces that Raul votes “no”. After Ivana gives Alicia Teo’s job contract, Alicia votes “yes.”

Julio leaves the meeting room and calls Fausto to give him the bad news. Fausto curses and threatens that he will go after his brother or Lola! Julio stands his ground and counter-threatens that he will give his shares to Olmo and he will tell Vera that her father is a murderer! (Woohoo, Julio!)

Ivana, Alberto and Olmo confab. Ivana comments that they got the votes they needed. When Alberto complains that they have Teo back in the company, Olmo assures them that Teo’s job will be as bogus as the job he has at the hotel…and Alberto should make sure of it.

Vera thinks that Marina will tell the family everything, but Marina tells her that she won’t. Pedro would leave her to be with his son; so she isn’t going to tell anyone anything, but if Pedro leaves her, she will sing! Just then Pedro approaches and asks what they are doing. Marina tells him that she was just asking Vera about Nico. After Vera excuses herself, Pedro wonders when they became such good friends. Marina counters by asking if he has a problem with it.

At night, Olmo gives Vera a present…he is tired of her granny jammies…and he wants her to try it on now.

Pedro tries to pry info from Marina but Marina tells him that she was only asking Vera what foods Nico should eat so he won’t get sick. Marina then suggests that they make a baby right now. When Pedro pushes her away and tells her that he has to get up early, Marina knows that he doesn’t like his wife. She once again insists that they try making a baby.

Ivana goes to see Octavio who wonders if she is there to get more information or to discuss how they are going to tell Faby the truth. Ivana distracts him with her seductive kisses…and he gives in.
 

ACUERDAS, Ep. 50: More Lies and Manipulation Part 4
Olmo is talking business to Vera while she changes. He quickly stops when she comes out. They toast, they kiss, etc. etc. etc.

Meanwhile Marina is at it with Pedro but he stops her….he can’t! Marina thinks that it isn’t that he can’t, it’s that he won’t! Pedro then tells her that before Olmo’s wedding, they had separated.

Ivana and Octavio have finished their tryst. Ocatvio insists that they should tell Faby the truth, but Ivana retorts that the only father Faby will have is Alberto; she will not break Faby’’s heart.

Olmo sits with his head hanging (because his little soldier is hanging too).

Marina insists that they were together during the time of the wedding. Pedro explains how things happened. They can’t fool themselves; they are more like brother and sister. When Marina insists that she loves him, he can’t do this too her, Pedro insists that continuing with her would only hurt her...they have to separate.

Faby hears a door open. Ivana enters her bedroom to be questioned by Alberto who demands to know where she was and with whom. Ivana tells him not to start with his jealousy. Alberto knows she has a lover! As she questions why he should care if she has a lover, Faby listens from behind the door then runs off in tears.

Vera gets up slowly from bed. She gets her secret phone and sends Pedro a message that they need to talk. He replies that they can meet the nest day,

Pedro wakes up on the couch. When he goes to look for Marina, he can’t find her! He quickly calls her phone, but he gets her voicemail.

At Casa Casares, Vera is outside talking to Candida on the phone when Marina calls out to her and asks her to come over to sit with her and Olmo!

And we will have to wait Hasta Monday to find out what Marina will say! And we are in Últimas Semanas!!

Another exercise in excellence RgvChick. You captured everything perfectly, as always.

"Olmo sits with his head hanging (because his little soldier is hanging too)" had me laughing out loud and your wry "Vera replies that Olmo has his virtues (he does??)" had me shaking my head, wondering also what those might be.

I thought there were several interesting events. First "Alberto denies that Ramiro has brought him any information". A clear and deliberate lie which leads me to wonder if Alberto might intend to seek Fausto out himself, for self serving purposes.

Second, I think you were right when you said a few episodes ago that Julio will likely not survive. The sweet interaction between Lola and Gabe also gave me pause. Lola and Laiza going to get Laiza a wedding dress was also a moment. I think Lola is doing the right thing by breaking up with Julio. He doesn't want to, but he can't let Vera go from his heart.

So Tomas thought it was Fausto who was going to kill him??

Alicia continues to disappoint.

Santi is no threat to Eddy. I always enjoy Emilia and Eddy's interactions. I like them both very much.

So happy Candida is free.

And Jarifa, your "Too bad Marina has gone from merely pathetic to being a threat" said it all. Now Vera will not only have Olmo torturing her, but Marina. Time for her to leave the house as Lola has suggested over and over.

Diana, I am with you and RgvChick in thinking that Julio is not likely to make it. I also noticed that interchange between Gabe and Lola. I am so hoping Laiza doesn’t end up with Gastón. Maybe she needs to go off to Europe and seek more training as a chef or something but ending up with sperm donor Gastón would not be a happy ending.

Jarifa, I somewhat fear that Laiza and Gaston will be end game. He is utterly selfish, having a son with a woman he cares nothing about while wanting Laiza as some sort of "side piece".

If that happens, perhaps Gabe and Lola might have a chance? Wild speculation, but I'm grasping at straws as I like both characters. This is IF Julio doesn't make it.

Diana and Jarifa, thank you so much for your kind words and support. I was just rereading my racpa and found so many typos!! I'm just wondering how you interpreted "After Tomas hopes that this video never comes to light, he tells Pedro that j el Obed i hi ml LOL I was so tired last night that my proofrading skills must have zonked out! LOL Anywho, it should be "...he tells Pedro that he loves him very much." There's too many other typos to list, but that was by far the worst one!

Vera has really become a master at lying, hasn't she. I was not quite comfortable with the quote I chose for this episode, but it seems to fit Vera perfectly. I just wanted to switch stations when she was talking to Marina about Olmo, bnut since I was writing the recap I had to listen to all that hogwash.

Jarifa, I'm not sure how much longer Vera can dodge all those bullets, but she'd better prepare because one of those bullets might just hit where it hurts the most. Olmo's wrath has no limits and she knows that he will not hesitate to hurt Nico.

Diana, "A clear and deliberate lie which leads me to wonder if Alberto might intend to seek Fausto out himself, for self serving purposes." I'm sure Alberto is planning on something. Will he dare to deal with the other devil to get rid of Olmo?? That remains to be seen.

I didn' think much abot the exchange between Lola and Gabe, other than Lola is moving on and lookin gout for her own interests. But, Diana, "perhaps Gabe and Lola might have a chance?" now has me thinking. Although Gabe doesn't deserve to be a consolation prize, Laiza would be really stupid to give up Gabe for Gaston.

And I was just thinking, how sad for the little baby boy who is on his way to being part of this twisted, dysfunctional family. And he isn't even coming because he is truly wanted and loved, he is just another carrot for Olmo. Que triste!

There is an expression that Alicia and Olmo used when referring to Teo's jobs; they both made reference to "trabajo de chocolate" (chocolate job). I had never heard that! I wrote "bogus" because that is the only thing I could think of. I'm thinking that, just like chocolate can cover other sweet edibles, the job that Teo has been/will be given is just a "cover" for the sole purpose of saying that he is employed.

Nett, I share your sentiments about Sancar. He is getting on my nerves with his need to hear Nare tell him how Akin hurt her. The idiot KNOWS, so why doesn't he just accept it without confirmation from anyone. And it really irritated me when he tried to get info from Guven; so is he willing to take Guven's word when he can't even believe the woman he supposedly loves?!

And Guven doesn't deserve to be on this earth. I cannot fathom how he could watch that video and still have anything to do with Akin. Both larvae need to have an excruciatingly painful death.

I know it's not possible, but I would love to see Hellise walking down the streets in a yoke and chains. And they can write, "Here's my reputation!" on the yoke! Beyotch! And Yahya can walk beside her to support her in case she stumbles. Stupid man.

You are a treasure - I'm always so interested to see what you have to say, I honestly don't notice typos as your intent is always so clear.

And I thought the quote was very, very fitting and it describes Vera's situation perfectly. She spews lies just as easily as she does truths.

Hello, Patio People! I'm so sorry I disappeared, but I've been sick as a dog for about a week or so, thought it was covid, proved to be just a very nasty cold combined with allergies, which I've never had before.
Then the rest of my family got sick, one by one, and I had some bad news at work (they're preparing lay-offs for later this spring, still waiting to see if I'm on the list, as I was among the last to be hired just before the crisis started).
Long story short, things have been rather crappy lately, so no time to watch Acuerdas. At this point I'm too lazy to catch up, I think I'll try to jump in when the next novela starts.
Sorry I bailed, it looks like Vera is still managing to dodge Olmo's sexual advances LOL

Embajador 34 part 1

Slight rewind to Gediz’ proposal. Does Nare take the deal? We'll have to wait to find out.

Zehra is yawning and Melek is already asleep in Sancar’s arms. Sancar asks Kavruk if they can stay the night. He doesn’t want to leave Melek if her mother isn’t here. Kavruk says don’t ask, my house is your house. Zehra asks to borrow pjs. Uh, yes, Kavruk goes to get them. Sancar looks at his watch and wonders where Nare is.

Kavruk gives Zehra the pjs and heads out. Where are you going? Outside, he replies. You slept in the car when we were here with Melek, she says, you were uncomfortable. This is your house you should sleep inside. Ha, that thought makes Kavruk uncomfortable, it’s hard for him to look at Zehra. No, he says, if Nare comes later, she should sleep here. Zehra looks frustrated or disappointed, maybe both? Kavruk goes out, it’s raining outside. Lovesick Kavruk leans against the wall.

Sancar puts Melek down with a kiss. He looks at his watch again. He takes his phone out to call Gediz and thinks twice. Sancar goes outside. He’s distressed. Is he thinking about court? We know he’s not happy that Nare is at Gediz’ house.

Next morning finds Sancar asleep outside, under the window in Melek’s room and we see Kavruk asleep on the other side of the house.

Yahya is sleeping in his Mustang outside of Sadiclar. On her way in, Dudu notices the car and goes over. She admires the car. Yahya notices her. She didn’t notice him. He gets out. Sorry, she says, I didn’t see you in the car. Is this yours, she asks? Will you buy or are you just looking, he jokes. She tells him she couldn’t afford a car like this.

Yahya’s impressed. You know the value of classic cars? My grandpa had one, she says, except it was rusted and had no battery. I dreamed of driving it one day. So where is the car now, he asks, maybe we can fix it? My dad sold it for a couple of bottles, she says sadly.

Can you drive this one, Yahya asks? Dudu’s face brightens, of course, but you can’t just let anyone drive something so valuable. Yahya drops the keys in her hand. He tells her he aches from sleeping in the car, perhaps she can take him for tea. Dudu is excited, she can’t believe she’s going to breakfast with the boss and she gets to drive the car. [hmm…]

Back to Kavruk’s house. Sancar wakes. He looks in the window and sees Melek sleeping alone. Uh, oh. He goes around the front and finds Nare brushing her teeth. Here comes the third degree: What time did you come home? It was late, you were sleeping, she answers. Why were you there for so long? Muge wasn’t well, Nare replies, I stayed with her. What did you talk about? Was Gediz with you? My convo with Muge is private, don’t ask. He’s gonna ask, he’s gonna make a call. Nare panics and tries to grab his phone.

Sancar talks to Gediz, he asks him to take Muge out on the company boat today. Gediz wants to go now but Sancar can’t, he’s going house hunting with Nare and Melek. Nare is surprised. Sancar tells her Melek wanted the 3 of them to go together, so he said yes. Nare goes to wake Melek and finds her sleeping with the “dad” pic.

Kavruk comes out front and sits at the table with Sancar. Zehra comes outside. Kavruk can’t even look at her. Zehra asks her brother, are you ok? He smiles at her, but his smile quickly fades. She sees he’s not ok. Nare stands in the doorway unnoticed.

Zehra asks Sancar, is it because of court tomorrow? Yes, that too, he says. She asks, will you testify? What answer do you want, Sancar says. That of Halise’s son or that of the peasant’s son? Zehra doesn’t know who to ask, they are both in the middle of this difficult matter. Kavruk says, ask him about the colored bird, he will know the answer. Sancar sees Nare in the doorway. Visible upset. No words are spoken.

Dudu and Yahya have breakfast. She asks him why he slept in his car. Should I pretend I didn’t see you? He counters, will you tell me why you returned or are you going to pretend I don’t know your father left? Dudu says, smart move, forget I asked.

Dudu can’t hold back. She tells him Gulsiye told her everything. Mrs. Halise hired Necdet, Mr. Sancar threw her out of the house, and he (Yahya) got Necdet out of prison to save his mother. Yahya’s not happy with Gulsiye. He tells Dudu to go ahead and ask her questions— how I could get that criminal out of prison? Dudu tells him, if it were up to me, I’d say your mother did something unforgiveable and she must pay. But I can understand, she tells him. You understand? She puts her hand on his and says, she’s your mother. I don’t know what I’d do if it was my mother. A mother is invaluable, she says. Yahya smiles, he didn’t expect this. [This Dudu is good for his ego…maybe too good?]

The trio go to see a house. The broker isn’t there yet. Melek is thrilled. She thinks it looks prettier than on the internet. She goes off to explore. Nare asks Sancar, are you mad at me? No, why? Because I asked you to testify against your mother. Sancar responds, what bothers me is that you hide things from me, not that you seek justice.

Do you like this house, Sancar asks Melek. Is it too expensive, she asks? Nare says they will ask about the price. Sancar asks, do you need money? She says no. Melek tells her dad they hardly have anything, when we tried calling Barcelona, it was expensive. Sancar asks Melek how much to call Barcelona. She puts up five fingers. Liras? No, Euros. Sancar asks Nare, was it worth it?

Nare answers, I will rent a house for my daughter and myself. And you will work…Sancar says. Uh, yes, and about that… she clears her throat… I thought I should keep working at the marina for a while because the pay is good. You know I need it, she says. Sancar whispers, you kidnapped my daughter, we made a deal, don’t ruin it. The broker arrives just in time for Nare. He takes them into the house.

Podgorica, Montenegro. Kerem answers the door— Mr Akin, Mr. Burcel is here. How’s everything, Burcel? Nothing in Barcelona, he replies. Nobody knows anything, no one has seen her. Akin asks if he looked at the list of friends. Burcel pull out pics of Nare’s friends and contacts. That’s it? She doesn’t have many friends, Burcel says. Akin looks through the pics.

Kerem gets a call from Guven. He steps away to take it . Guven is ticked; Kerem hasn’t answered his calls. I want you to find Akin for me, Guven tells him. Kerem asks why. Is 50k in euros enough motivation for you, Guven asks? Kerem perks up, okay, I’ll investigate. Guven will be waiting for his call.

Akin recognizes a picture. It’s Astrid, he says, she would join us in India and Japan. She and Nare were close, do you think she’s hiding with her? Burcel says he’d have to go to Norway and that will cost bucks. Akin doesn’t care how much it costs, just find Nare. Akin drops the pile of pics on the table with Isabel’s pic on top.

Embajador #34 part 3

Isabel calls Nare while she is separated from Sancar and Melek. Isabel was worried because Nare had hung up quickly and didn’t call back. Shh… Sancar is here, Nare says, we are house hunting together. Nare gives Isabel a quick video tour over the phone. Nare tells her she will prepare some delicious dishes for Isa when she comes to visit. Isa tells her she will visit in the summer.

Melek says hi to Isabel. Sancar enters the room with the broker and overhears. Nare has to quickly hang up on Isabel again. Nare goes off with the broker and Sancar asks Melek, who were you talking to? Isabel, my midwife. She helped me to be born. She’s my friend, Melek says.

The broker, Gokan, asks Nare if she’s decided. Nare asks about the price. Sancar steps in and says Nare just quit her job, can we negotiate? Nare doesn’t want Sancar to butt in. Sancar stands in back of Nare while she talks with the broker. Gokan tells Nare that it’s tradition to negotiate; he will reduce the price to 3K. Sancar silently signals his approval to the broker.

In what currency, Nare asks, in dollars? No, it’s in liras. Nare turns around and looks at Sancar. Nare’s surprised, it seems like a low price. Houses like these usually rent in American dollars. Gokan tells her the owner is a millionaire who does not need the money. He just wants a good tenant. Nare asks about the deposit. Sancar signals again.

The broker says the owner is not asking for a deposit. Nare asks if this is a joke. Not a joke, Gokan says, and Sancar almost gets caught making a disapproving gesture. The broker continues, the owner only wants the house maintained. Sancar nods approval.

Nare says, well then, we have a deal. Gokan says, enjoy and Melek jumps for joy. She wants to go out to see the garden with her mom. Sancar tells the broker, the lady will only pay 3K and I will pay the rest and the deposit. She should never know.

Sancar watches Melek and Nare celebrate their new house. Melek runs to her dad and tells him, I wish you’d stay with us [he wishes, too]. He picks his daughter up and gazes at Nare with those lovin’ eyes. [you’re killing me, Engin]

Gediz and Muge are on the boat. Gediz is pacing back and forth and sighing. He very agitated. Muge says she knows why he won’t even look at her. Gediz says she doesn't know anything. I know you hate me, she says, how stupid could I be, how could I say what I said to Nare. You won’t forgive me, right?

Gediz lights into her—you’re a wonderful psychologist, congratulations—you know what I think, you know what I will do, you even guess where I'll go, but you don't know what kind of man Akin is. Nine years and you didn’t know this? What kind of a person do you have to… Muge interrupts, to betray? Is that what you were going to say, she asks her brother. I understand you want to hurt me, but it already hurts too much, you won’t gain anything by hurting me.

Gediz asks her does it hurt? Suffer. Don’t forget everything that man caused. Did you learn your lesson, because Sancar is coming. Don’t act stupid. Muge won’t say anything to him, she gets it. Gediz goes over the story: you did not see the video of Akin attacking Nare. You saw the video where he called you stupid and that’s why you’re hurt. Muge asks, why do you trust me? Do you really think I want to tell Sancar everything, because I’m afraid he will want revenge on me.

Gediz tells his sister she was so stupid to keep loving Akin. You don’t care about Sancar. You just don’t want your beloved to die. Muge asks Gediz, what if Nare wasn’t involved in this? Would you hate me so much? [she’s on to something here] You would have hugged me and comforted me. If it weren’t for her, Muge says, you would support me. Gediz says he will go outside and wait for Sancar. Gediz tries to calm himself down.

Embajador #34 part 4

Sancar, Nare and Melek arrive at the marina. Sancar asks them to wait upstairs, he will be right back. He tells Melek we can go to Kavruk’s later. Melek really likes Kavruk but she would really like to stay at her new house. Nare tells her we don’t even have furniture yet. Melek wants to buy furniture so they can stay in the house tonight. Nare thinks that’s a good idea and tells Melek, let’s go look for furniture. Sancar stops them. He wants them to wait here. He takes Nare aside and tells her he will send furniture to the house, go write your resignation, and he will return after he speaks to Muge.

Nare tells Sancar not to be hard on Muge, and BTW, she can get her own furniture. Sancar says resign first, then give your opinion. Nare doesn’t want to argue in front of Melek. She takes Melek’s hand and walks out. Melek tells her dad she will see him later.
Yahya appears in the hallway. Sancar sees him, says nothing and leaves.

Sancar shows up at the dock. Is Muge here? Yes. How are you, Sancar asks? Gediz tries to make light but then he says, I’m angry, I’m furious. He’s not used to things falling off his radar like this. He tells Sancar he knows how much it hurts, he understands him.
Sancar says Gediz is lucky, the list of people who have tricked him is longer. Gediz brings up Halise and Necdet. Sancar says that’s old news. The list has a new star, Yahya Efeoglu. He’s getting Necdet out of prison because he wants to challenge me.

Gediz tells Sancar, “Nare no quitará el dedo del renglón" “Nare won’t take her finger off the line" [I think that expression that means she won’t stop or give up her effort. Someone with better Spanish can explain.] Sancar asks if that’s what Nare said and is that why they spoke for so long. Yes, that’s what we spoke about, Gediz replies.

Sancar says, that’s over. I found a house for my daughter and her mother. They will not stay at your house anymore and there will be no more meetings. So, Gediz says, from the marina to home and—Sancar is not talking about the marina because Nare won’t work there. You still don’t trust me, says Gediz. Sancar is fed up. He says, let me find Akin and we’ll see if he starts praying. If I live, I’ll tell you about it. That’s all Sancar has to say about that.

Sancar boards the boat. He asks Muge if she’s ok. She shakes her head no. I have a few questions about Akin, he says, and then I’ll leave you alone. She nods yes. Muge sarcastically says this is fun. She doesn’t even know who he (Akin) is and she feels so stupid. Gediz interjects, women only fall in love with idiots—it’s a mystery. Sancar says, you told him (Akin) everything, right?

Muge admits she told him about the company, and about him (Sancar). I wondered if I was boring him, she says, and at least I know he wasn’t bored. You’re not boring Muge, you’re just stupid. Gediz warns Sancar to watch it. Sancar continues, that man played us because of the info you gave him. Muge is contrite. Please forgive me. I’m very sorry. I apologize to both of you. Sancar says it’s ok, it’s over. Now we will be one step ahead of him.

Embajador #34 part 5

Sancar asks Muge if she knows Akin’s address. Did he live in Montenegro with the ambassador’s daughter? No, he has his own house and in fact, he has several houses, one in Switzerland. Did you go to those places, he asks? No, when I went abroad, we met at the hotel where the convention was.

Sancar’s questions continue. The ambassador’s daughter said she left because of Akin and came here. I heard her tell you that. Uh, I… no… that is… I don’t know much, Muge stutters. Nare said on the phone that she had proof, Sancar reminds her. You talked about Akin with her before that. Tell me what she told you, Sancar asks. Muge stares ahead, looks at Gediz and tells Sancar she doesn’t remember much. Sancar raises his voice—that’s ridiculous.

Muge is rattled. I don’t remember and I don’t want to remember either. Gediz says that’s enough. Sancar persists, tell me what she told you! Gediz says, Sancar, why are you asking about this? Sancar says, she told you, didn’t she? Muge breaks—Yes, she told me! She told me about everything! Is that better?

Sancar zeros in. Did you believe her, he asks? Muge looks at Gediz, who subtly shakes his head no. No, I did not believe her. Sancar asks, as a psychologist or as a woman? Both ways, she replies. Sancar tries to get a read on Gediz and Muge. What will happen now, Sancar asks. After Akin treated you like you were stupid, do you still believe him?

Muge says she doesn’t care. She doesn’t want to think about Nare or anyone. Akin doesn’t love me, she says, what he did to Nare doesn’t matter. I don’t care, she says. I hate myself when I feel this way, but I can’t think of anything else but my pain. You can’t understand it, she tells Sancar, but that’s it. Sancar says he understands, and he leaves the boat.

Gediz follows Sancar out and calls to him. Sancar stops. A very determined Sancar tells Gediz, I need to find Akin, and it must be soon.

And we are out.

Rgv Chick, I noticed the Ultimas Semanas, too. I also noticed they started saying Primera Temporada. Does that mean they will take a break?

We are currently at Episode 10 of the original Turkish. Their first season ended on ep 17. Will Uni end it at 17? Each Turkish ep seems equal to about 3-ish Unis. Another month or so of Uni episodes? Does that sound right?

BTW, the gran final will air in Turkey on May 11. There will be 52 Turkish episodes in total.

I do wonder if Lola might end up with Gabriel. I would like to see Lola and Julio together but he falls short in his commitment to her.
I wonder how long it will take before Vera learns that Fausto killed her mother and not Olmo and for Pedro to learn that Olmo killed his father and not Fausto. Will Eddy play a part in the reveal regarding Fausto murderIng Antonia? He was an eyewitness. Glad we’re at últimas semanas.

So..Nare has a house for she and Melek...finally their own place. Too cute...Melek dancing around in circles at the thought of their own place. Hope Nare doesn't back out of it once she realizes Sancar is subsidizing it. I don't think it's too much that he provides some support...after all Melek is his daughter. It's his overbearing ...brute control that is problematic. Ridiculous that he still wants to control if and where Nare works.

Sancar is hell bound to find the truth and he's looking to get everyone's point of view...and Akin's before he decides what's true. Too bad that truth is going to hurt him...and possibly turn him into a murderer.

I've been expecting Zehra and Karuk to turn into an item but what's going on with Dudu and Yaya. Is she an opportunist....and is Yaya looking for something or someone to feed his ego? I can see Elvan getting with Dudu if she thinks she's eying her man.

I hope the trial goes forward and Halise is outed to the community...even if she doesn't go to jail. She deserves to be seen for what she is...and former peasant snob who now think's she's better than everyone else. She needs to be reminded...she ain't better than anyone else...and I want to truth to come regarding Meneske's involvement but something tells me Halise will continue to protect her and we know Necedt will...unless perhaps money is involved...we will see.

Both Halise and Guven have only been concerned about their image...and not what's important. Sancar had said he wouldn't let his mom go to jail but Yaya's deal to save her has forced Nare's hand...and may impact Sancar's ability to save his mom...without going against Nare....and we know he doesn't want to hurt Nare. I hope Nare doesn't drop the charges though....want to see Halise sweat and fall.

dondi356, I too am thinking that the “últimas semanas is only for the first season. Univisión may be taking a break between Season 1 and Season 2—that is what they did with “Amor Eterno.” IIRC, the first season of “Amor Eterno” ended in early December and the 2nd season started in Mid-January.

Dondi, thank you for another great recap. As I watch, I get clues of what is happening from the visuals , but I always wonder what they are saying .

Gee, is Dudu putting the moves in a married man ? Ya is flattered . I hope he doesn't cheat on Elvan. Hub's first car was a white Mustang that we both loved.

If only Sancar would stop being so macho and get out of beast mode.

Melek was adorable .so happy to finally be getting a home with her mom after being shuffled from one house to another ....poor little thing.However, that house would not be my cup of tea . It seemed so cold and modern. I prefer cozy and comfy houses.

Susanlynn, "The Bright spot of the episode was Candida finally free." It sure was. I don't know why but when the Candida storyline somes on, my ears just perk up. She is such a good, kind hearted motherly woman, I'm hopeoing her story ends well.

Victoria, "I enjoy Helena Rojo so much. However, I could definitely do without the turbans." LOL but I think they are so apropos; they match her character :-)

Nina, your comment had me laughing. I especially liked "And what is up with miss pisspants? She gonna force pedro to make a baby with with her crazyass?" Marina is in a mar of crazy isn't she? She has someone who really likes her right in front but she is a glutton for punishment and prefers to take Pedro's rejections.

Adriana Noel, you could probably just jump right back into this TN because there hasn't been much advancement in the storylines. The wheels on this bus go round and round, but the bus is jacked up so this show ain't going anywhere.

Kavruk and Zehra make me smile. How cute that he was embarrassed when she suggested he sleep inside. At this point, they are the only couple I am rooting for.

Oh, good grief, I hope they don't go very far with the Dudu/Yahya storyline. Nett, I had never considered Dudu as an opportuntist, but it could very well be. For some reason, I just don't like Dudu...being that said, maybe she and Yahya deserve each other LOL

I was so afraid that Akin was going to recognize Isabel from that pic; glad she was wearing her nun outfit.

Susanlynn, I agree that the house Nare will be renting seems cold; hopeofully once she furnishes it, it will be more inviting.

"Gediz lights into her [Muje]" Finally! I was wondering when he would finally explode. I suppose he was waiting to calm down before letting Muje have it. He and Sancar made a good point in asking how she could have been used for such a long time by Akin, and she never doubted him. OTOH, "what if Nare wasn’t involved in this? Would you hate me so much? [she’s on to something here]" yeah, she is on to something, but the man is a rapist and used her only to get information. If it weren't for Nare, Akin would never have set eyes on her.

Fe, as I was reviewing the comments, I noticed yours.

"I wonder how long it will take before Vera learns that Fausto killed her mother and not Olmo and for Pedro to learn that Olmo killed his father and not Fausto" That will probably happen in the last 2-3 episodes.

And "Will Eddy play a part in the reveal regarding Fausto murderIng Antonia?" It seems that Eddie will have to be the one to make the reveal. I don't think Fausto would ever admit to it.

Rgv Chick, I could be wrong but I believe that Akin stopped looking through the pictures when he found Astrid. The next pic would have been Isabel’s and I’m sure he would have recognized her. He’s too evil not to have made the connection.

Not my choice of a house either, but if that’s all I could afford, I’d deal with it.

Susanlynn, I love classic Mustangs. I had a ’67 in Midnight Blue…best car I ever owned. Yahya’s must be a 65 or 66. Remember what year your hubby had? BTW, that car has been used in other shows.

I know Sancar referred to Nare as an earthquake, but always thought of Nare as the eye of the storm. And all the other characters feel the effects in one way or another.

Dondi, i think that Hub had a 1966 or 1967 Mustang . I recently found a photo of it in front of the house we were building . His dad had a pale blue 1965 .

BTW, "Ultimas Semanas" generally last 5-6 weeks. So your estimate is close for the end of Season 1.
