Telemundo ran a promo this evening for upcoming TNs including a Turkish one, "Hercai: Amor y Venganza". I think it hasn't ended it's run in Turkey yet. I haven't seen this one.
People en Español reports that Telemundo acquired the rights to Beren Gokyildiz's latest TN. Beren was Oyku in Todo por mi Hija. I've seen the first two eps. It's scheduled to start in Puerto Rico soon.

Good morning all. Recap for last night will be up a bit later than usual.
Telemundo
Thank you dondi356 for this interesting information. Those Turkish novelas look so beautiful but I can barely understand the Spanish with subtitles let alone Turkish dubbed in Spanish with subtitles.
VVS, I used to say the same thing about Turkish novelas. But while waiting for the 9pm novela to start, I usually saw the last few minutes of Cennet, a Turkish novela in the 8 pm time slot. I began to realize that I could understand far more of Cennet than of the 9pm novela (I think it was 100 días para enamoramos). I think it's because it was dubbed into a neutral, unrushed Spanish and had very little if any slang. I wound uo watching the last third of Cennet and all of the Turkish novela that followed it, Todo por mi hija. In both cases, I understood more, not less, than I do when watching a normal Spanish-language novela.
Some scenes are combined for clarity. This is a short recap. I think I got the most important parts in.
Poor Nicky is crying his eyes out after overhearing Salvador the Slacker ask Loli when she is going to tell him that Octavio is not his father. Loli tries to cover the mistake, shushing Salvador who continues to interject his comments to cover his backside without any real thought to Nicky.
Octavio receives another call from his mom Ramona, who asks if he ever read the letter his parents sent. Octavio says no and it doesn’t matter what the letter says, it doesn’t change anything between them. Ramona tells him it changes everything because his father died shortly after speaking with Octavio the day before. Apparently, this was his last wish, to try and make amends with Octavio. Octavio is stunned and moved by the death of this father.
Paulina is showing Rafa a potential venue to sponsor the fund raising/awareness event to help Sam. She pours on the charm and lets Rafa know that she still loves him for Jessica and the life they had together. Rafa once again draws the boundary, but Paulina does not look like she is going to give up hope. On his way out, Pau asks Rafa to talk to Loli about allowing Sam to be interviewed by her on the podcast.
Nicky is still crying and asking Loli why Salvador said that Octavio isn’t his dad? Loli tries explaining but when Nicky asks if Octavio is not his dad then who is? Loli just hugs him and calls Octavio so they can talk. Octavio, still reeling from the news about his father’s death, says he can’t meet her. Loli then tells him that Nicky knows, Octavio is upset and says he will meet her at the house.
Nicky is crying in bed with Octavio hugging and consoling him. Octavio promises to always be his Dad. Nicky wonders why Octavio looks so sad and says he and Mr. Coodlers are sleepy. Octavio tucks him in bed as Loli listens in the doorway. She thanks Octavio for coming over and also notices that he looks sad. The discussion is interrupted by a call from Salvador that Loli does not take.
Bruno, Mel and Carol are home. The “ladies” have done some suit shopping for Bruno. Carol has graciously offered to pay for everything only charging her parents 50% interest once Bruno get paid from his new executive job with Don Rogelio.
In a new suit, Bruno is waiting at Global Radio to find out what his new job is. Lupe and the gossip girls are trying to figure that out too. Somehow, Bruno sees a contract for the new Marketing Director and assumes that is his new position. Later that evening, he finds out from Don R that he is the new assistant and will now report directly to Lupe. (Ha!)
Loli and Octavio have Nicky at the therapist to continue the discussion with him about where Octavio fits in and the fact that his DNA dad is dead. For whatever reason, the therapist wants to hypnotize Nicky. In the process, Loli is the one who is hypnotized and she says something about wanting to be with Rafa and making fish lips as if to kiss him.
After the session, Octavio finally tells her that his dad died. Stalker Salvador shows up, interrupting the moment. Octavio wants to pound his face for telling Nicky. Loli ends up telling Sal that she is a mom now and doesn’t have time to deal with his drama.
Rox and Cesar have together issues, including Cesar inheriting the family dog who ends up eating Rox’s favorite pillow.
We find out that though manipulation of the truth, Vicente has managed to make Paulina’s parents his new investors and they all want Paulina to be the new company president. She does not look overly pleased and definitely concerned.
Somehow all of Loli’s men end up at the house, Octavio and Rafa sharing their dislike of Sal, Lupillo visiting Sam and then Sal showing up at the door. Loli is walking Lupillo out of Sam’s room, he corners her for a kiss, she protests, Sam sees and cries “Loli!!” Everyone ends up in the hallway to witness the event. Each man has a very different expression of the same thing. What the heck Loli?? I thought I had a chance!
Thanks SO much for the excellent recap, VVS! Nothing at all wrong with shorter ones. I really needed the recap because my DVR, overloaded with both a basketball and baseball game on the same night, cut off recording Loli at 39 minutes.
I got a kick out of Rox's problem with the way Cesar squeezes the toothpaste. She's apparently dead set on squeezing from the end and rolling up the tube. I missed what the dog did, only heard the barking when Cesar broke it to her. What breed is it?
The actor playing Octavio was fantastic last night. His distress at having his father die before they could even try to reconcile was very touching. And he was perfect with Nicky.
Wow, just wow! I remember Paulina's parents paying a visit when Pau first went on the air with GR and something about their sponsoring her part of the programming. But Vicente getting them to put up money for his station...just evil. They surely are sparing with the details of how this new station is going to work...FCC licensing, AM or FM.
I think I'll try to watch what I missed on Telemundo's web site.
I can't stand Salvador and was hopeful Loli would just refuse to be in the same room with him from now on. But there's still the Latin Music Festival for Loli to do all the work and Sal take the credit, just like he did with Bruno's having secured $500K sponsorship.
The despicable Lupe was not very nice to Bruno. But, in a way, she and the gossip girls have a bit of an excuse, having been at the garage/casino at least once.
But Bruno doesn't deserve having to report to Lupe. OTOH maybe something might actually get done if Bruno works while Lupe snoops.
Hi novelera. I really appreciate you comments. Like Salvador, I felt like a total slacker today with this recap, but I just didn’t have time to really focus on writing too many details.
The dog is like a medium size boxer mix. He is pretty cute (can’t remember his name) and has personality but that isn’t going to save him from the pound if Rox has her way! He ripped a favorite pillow to shreds.
Octavio was excellent last night. He deserves a really nice lady…hmmm. 😊
It was a shocker that Chente sucked in Paulina’s parents!
Maybe Lupe and Bruno will be a good team. Hahaha!
Thanks very much, VVS, for this excellent recap. I want to echo novelera's assurance that there's nothing wrong with a shorter recap, especially one as good as yours! It's not length that determines how good a recap is, just as length doesn't determine how good a novel is. There are good and bad ones of every size.
I think Bruno was able to see the job description for the Marketing Director because Lupe inadvertently left it on the table. She fairly quickly came back for it, but not before Bruno had had a look and made the assumption that that would be his job. Actually, since I don't have much liking for Bruno and I strongly dislike Lupe, I'm not unhappy that Don R made Lupe Bruno's boss. Bruno doesn't really deserve anything better (except, of course, for his landing that $500K sponsorship, but I regard that accomplishment as a freak accident.) Just how the Bruno/Lupe idea will play out remains to be seen.
I enjoyed your observation toward the end that each man has a very different expression of the same thing when they see Loli and Lupillo. And of course Sam comes out of her room just in time.
Count me in on admiring the job the actor playing Octavio did last night. And yes, Octavio does indeed deserve a really nice lady. I suspect several of us here on the patio might volunteer.
Sam comes out of her room just in time to see Loli apparently kissing Lupillo. Loli tells her not to misinterpret. Sam replies, "I saw you!" Loli tries to explain that she didn't really kiss him. Sam isn't listening.
Cesar tells Rox that he knows she's upset about the pillow that Tomas chewed to pieces. Cesar explains that Tomas is part of his family. Rox replies, "When I see my family, they don't destroy my pillow." Cesar proposes that he and Tomas will spend the night at a hotel, so Rox can get some sleep. Rox objects that that's too expensive. She suggests instead that Cesar sleep in his car. Cesar says, well, OK, we can do that, in the cold, in danger, with robbers. Rox reconsiders and reluctantly offers to let "that hairy thing" (aka Tomas) stay for one more night in her house.
Loli is again trying to find a video from Mariana, one that will help her know how to deal with Nicky's disappointment and Sam's problems. All Loli finds is a video on how to make chocolate cake. Suddenly, Loli drops the phone. When she picks it up, it no longer shows the videos or any photos, just a blank screen. She pleads with Mariana, "Don't leave me!"
Bruno tells Melissa and Carol that he's playing hardball with Don Rogelio, as Melissa suggested. He's turned down the first offer and is awaiting a second one. [Liar, liar, pants on fire.] Melissa is glad to hear this, since they have lots of debts and lots of things to buy. [It doesn't seem to occur to her that they have lots of debts in part because she's always finding lots of things to buy.]
Loli talks to Mariana, even though the phone now shows just a blank screen. She tells the phone that she needs to figure out how to deal with Sam. "I don't want her to hate me, but I also don't want her to hate her newly-found father." She finally goes to Sam's room and asks Sam to let her explain. The problem is that she can't explain that Lupillo essentially ambushed her into the kiss without putting him in a bad light. She mumbles things like "benefit of the doubt," "famous people who think they can...." "none of this should have happened." Sam agrees with this last statement. None of this should have happened--her mother shouldn't have died, Sam shouldn't need a heart transplant, and Nicky's father shouldn't not be his father. Loli agrees, and says that that's why we need to stay together.
Paulina's mother is happy that Vicente has so much faith in Pau. He's much better than Rafael. Pau can't stand by and hear her mother say this. "No, no," she says, "I don't regret having married him." Pau's mother asks, "You love Vicente, don't you?" Pau replies, "Yes, why else would I marry him." Pau's mother then tells Pau that she was engaged to someone else when she met Pau's father. She decided not to marry the guy she was engaged to. "These decisions come from the heart."
Nicky is talking to Sam about how unhappy he feels. Sam tells him that when Octavio found out that he wasn't Nicky's father, he didn't know how to break the news to him. Sam also tries to put in a good word for Loli. "She tries to do good things for us--even if many of them turn out badly!" Nicky and Sam both laugh.
Melissa lies in bed talking to her triplets in utero. She tells them, "we need a bigger house where you all will be happy, like in the novelas." Bruno is outside the room, listening.
Cesar kisses Tomas, much to Rox's dismay. She suggests that she could mention Tomas on her show and find him a good family. Cesar informs her that Tomas is his family, he's like a son.
At a board meeting, Don R says that they need $2 million to run the festival. Loli starts acting very weird. She seems frozen, then she moves around crazily. At one point, she kisses Rafa. Finally, she gets up and hurries out of the meeting. She goes to the therapist who had tried to hypnotize Nicky but wound up hypnotizing her instead. She interrupts a session he's having with another patient and demands, "Undo what you did! Every time I hear a bell, I kiss Rafael. Undo this or I'll sue you!" The therapist does his mumbo jumbo and tells her, "When you hear a bell, you won't want to kiss Rafael or anyone else. You'll kiss someone only when you want to and it's the right time." However, he then adds, "If you're thinking so much about Rafael, why not give him a chance and be happy?" She leaves.
Loli brings her broken phone to someone at the company who's good at tech stuff. She asks him to fix it.
Rafa tells Loli that the meeting she left abruptly went well. "I bought us more time. You have to get us the money." A bell rings, and Loli turns her head and walks right past both Rafa and Salvador.
Lupe and the gossip girls see Paulina enter Global Radio. Lupe expresses surprise at seeing Pau. She tells Pau, "I find it strange to see you here, since they didn't even let you say goodbye on your show." Pau replies, "It's sad that you don't have lives of your own, so you have to live through other people's lives."
Loli and Rafa are talking. Loli says, "Global Radio needs a win. And so do I." Paulina comes in and tells them she has good news. She tells Loli that she (loli) can do the video whenever she wants. But that apparently wasn't her good news. Salvador comes in and asks Pau whether she's ready. Pau says it was going to be a surprise, but "Salvador is going to interview me for Sam's event." She and Salvador then leave. Loli observes sarcastically, "When two creative minds unite...." Soon after this, Angie comes into the office and announces that she knows where they can get the $2 million they need for the festival. Angie won't give many details yet, just that the money will be coming from a new company.
The scene changes to Hunky Bar. Octavio is saying that all Divina did was defend some friends. Apparently some of the Hunky Bar staff are uncomfortable with her. Or perhaps it's just Apolo, I'm not sure. I felt as if I came in in the middle of a conversation. Anyway, Apolo tells Octavio that Augustín's threats are becoming stronger. Suddenly, they hear noise from outside the bar. They race out and find Divina lying on the ground after having been beaten up by "those people." The guys bring Divina inside. They don't know whether it was Augustín who sent the guys to beat her up. Octavio deals with her wounds.
Angie meets with Paulina and reports that Loli and Rafa have taken the bait and accepted the sponsorship. Paulina says, "You mean my sponsorship.
Mati and Art discuss a date for their renewal of vows. Every date is problematic for Mati. He finally suggests that instead of the ceremony they could use the money to move or to buy the Toyota Sienna they were admiring. [We see a picture of the Sienna, followed soon after by...a commercial for the Sienna (the commercial where the guy realizes he left his phone in a cave).] Selma comes in, expecting to go to a dance. Art and she start to dance. Mati says he's going to pick up some things at the store. Jack offers to get what Mati needs, since he's going shopping. Mati tells him quietly that he really plans to go to a foster parent class. Jack thinks Mati should tell Art. Mati agrees, "but at the right time."
Bells may no longer make Loli kiss Rafael, but they still make her act rather weirdly. She's standing near a microwave with Rafa. They had been talking about the festival and funding. The microwave rings. Loli stops talking, moves her head in strange ways, and turns around. Rafa asks her whether she's OK. She says the water is boiling.
Don R, Rafa, and Loli are sitting at the Board table talking. Don R is delighted with the new sponsorship. It's just what Global Radio needs. He wants to know more about where the money is coming from. He's told that all they know is it's a new company. Loli says she has the lawyers looking into it. Salvador appears, congratulates Loli on getting the money. Don R thanks Sal for suggesting the festival. Sal says he's happy to do something to thank Global Radio for giving him a second chance. He and Loli then leave. Don R says to Rafa, "I see you still care about Loli. It's obvious. Don't let this opportunity pass you by. Don't regret not doing something. I speak from experience." [Aha! A tiny bit more of the backstory.]
Angie and Pau are talking while having facials. Angie is puzzled that Pau is giving $2 million to Global Radio, a competitor of Vicente's new station. Angie says, "I know you want to help Rafa, but..." Pau tells her, "It's not help, it's an investment in my future. My future when Rafa realizes what he lost when he left me. My future having Global Radio eating out of my hand. My future when I put Don Rogelio and Loli in their place." Angie then asks, "What are you going to do when Vicente finds out?" Pau says, "He'll realize that I don't need his help." Angie replies, "It must be tiring to be so many Paulinas."
Rox apologizes to Cesar for asking him to put Tomas up for adoption.
Ricardo, the tech guy at Global Radio, has fixed Loli's phone. He warns her that some information has probably been lost. However, she finds that Mariana's videos are still there.
Loli comes to see Sam, who is on the phone with Jess. Sam tells Loli that she is not eager to do the video. Jess urges her to do it. Sam asks Loli whether now that they've found her father, will she have to take a test (apparently a DNA test)? Will she have to change her name? Would her mother be unhappy if she changes her name? Loli tells her not to worry about such things, just get to know her father and then decide. "Your mother will be happy if you are happy. She wants what's best for you, as I do."
Salvador comes by with a present for Nicky as part of his apology. It turns out to be a bow and arrow set with a suction cup at the arrow's tip. Of course, Nicky wants to try it out. He shoots the arrow, which hits the TV and knocks it onto the floor. Sal says he'll pay for the TV. He then asks Nicky whether he'd like to go to the movies the next day to see Mortal Death Machine 5. Loli asks his whether he's out of his mind. Nicky tells him he doesn't like those movies, they're too violent. Rafael comes by.He shows Loli his phone on which there's just NO VA in big letters.I know that "no va" means "it doesn't go," but??? Rafa is upset and says this is a provocation. Loli calls it a declaration of war. I'm not sure what's going on here. I'm guessing that NO VA is what appeared when Rafa tried to reach the Global Radio site. However, I'm not really sure. I am sure that Nicky shoots his bow and arrow again and almost hits Rafa! Rafa asks Sal, "What's next, a gun?" Sal responds, "What would you suggest, a dollhouse?" [I hate this guy!] Loli breaks up the verbal sparring between the two guys. She agrees to do stuff the next day with Salvador about the festival and then with Rafa about I'm not sure what. She then shoos both of them out the door.
Cesar and Rox chastise Tomas. He has been a bad dog. No more TV for Tomas. Cesar cautions that they shouldn't be too severe, he's just a child. Rox on the other hand says they should send Tomas to obedience school.
Loli calls Lupillo. No, she says, she's not calling because she misses him. She's calling because her lawyer says Lupillo needs to take a paternity test. The court requires it. Lupillo says that's fine with him.
At the office the next day, Rafa says he wants to tell Loli something. He has wanted to say this before, but he's always interrupted. Before they're interrupted again, he wants to tell her "I want to be with you." Almost immediately, Salvador comes into the office. and the episode ends.
Thank you, Juanita, for the comments on the recap for Monday. I wasn’t really sure how Bruno thought he was the new Marketing Director, but it makes sense that Lupe left the contract or job description on the conference table and of course he looked at it in the folder. It will be interesting to see these two work together.
Loli – Episode #60
Now this is a great recap Juanita! Your side comments were right on. I liked: [Liar, liar, pants on fire.] for Bruno. I think he actually thinks he is an executive the way he pretends and manages to get through life.
I found the Loli hypnosis, bell ringing, kiss Rafa, pretty funny. (I needed the ridiculousness after a couple of long stressful days. The actor, Sylvia N. is very comical with her expressions and the dramatic movements.
Juanita, I also felt like a scene or two was left out regarding the Hunky Bar issues. It sounded like Divina had some sort of altercation defending some women that Romeo had video of and was trying to show Octavio until the clammer outside occurred and they found her all beat up. I liked Adan saying that the attack on Divina was an attack on all of them.
It must be nice to be Paulina to dole out $2 million dollars just as a whim to prove to the world how awesome you are. Maybe she does deserve Chente after all.
So in the “I despise Salvador” camp as well. Tomas the dog has way more personality than he has! I am with Victoria; Octavio is the best choice here for ALL of us. 😊
I really enjoyed and appreciated the recap Juanita!
Victoria, I agree. I too would like to see Loli wind up with Octavio rather than Rafa. However, last night's episode makes that seem less likely than before. First, the therapist suggests Loli give Rafa a chance, then Don Rogelio advises Rafa not to let this opportunity pass him by, go for it before it's too late. And finally, at the end of the episode, Rafa takes Don R's advice. The deck now seems to be loaded in Rafa's favor. However, if this novela really has 100 episodes, we still have 40 more to go. It's thus perhaps a little early for the galán issue to be resolved. So I think there's still hope for Octavio.
Thanks VERY much, VVS, for your terrific and supportive comments. I loved your saying about Salvador, "Tomas the dog has way more personality than he has!" It's true! I'm also relieved to know that you, too, found the start of the Hunky Bar episode with Divina somewhat confusing. And I confess that I missed Adan's great remark. I'd definitely have included it had I been paying better attention. Thanks for mentioning it. Finally, I agree that Silvia Navarro does a great job with comedy. She also is excellent in non-comic roles. I've been a fan for a number of years, having seen her in several roles in Univisión novelas before I discovered Telemundo.
What a winner of a recap, Juanita! Your asides were SO what I was thinking.
I noticed that Rox, while saying that her family don't chew pillows, said that she hardly ever sees them. This could be that they are in Mexico or it could represent some trauma that explains some of her behavior.
IIRC Loli, frustrated that an appropriate video wasn't coming up to deal with Sam's anger at her, threw the phone. And then was desperate because she felt that those videos were a connection to someone she loved so much.
I LOVED Paulina's takedown of Lupe. She called her un loro (a parrot).
I am starting to yawn every time I see Art and Mati together. I had high hopes Mati would dump him for the home health care guy (Jack?). Art just keeps on and on about the renewal of vows and Mati isn't into it.
NoVa is the name of Vicente's new radio station. And it appears Vicente is making the same mistake as Chevy did with a car. That No va is a car name that does not work in Mexico, Central America, and most of South America.
Could Salvador be more clueless?
I agree that it certainly appears that Rafa and Loli will end up together. Paulina's plan to ingratiate herself with Rafa is kind of odd. She's still apparently planning to marry the Snake.
LOVED your comment about Melissa never seeming to connect the debts with her compulsive buying. And Carol...50% interest for her parents. I was unclear about how she would have gotten that reward money so quickly and how much of it went toward Bruno's wardrobe.
Writers, please, less Lupe and Salvador!
OT
You know you are a telenovela addict when you can recognize the musical score from one novela to another. Also, the stage furniture. Those tacky lamp shades with pastel leaves on them keep popping up.
Sorry, I fell behind in my viewing. Grateful for such wonderful recaps, thank you VVS and Juanita.
Notice how Octavio is not the bad guy anymore? Nora and Loli hated him at first. Now Sal has taken his place. Maybe one of Sal’s purposes is to aid in the “rehabilitation” of Octavio’s image.
Loli being hypnotized and kissing Rafa was totally absurd. I couldn’t believe they went with that. It’s not Silvia Navarro’s fault the writing is so bad for this show. She can only work with what they give her.
Lupe—I can’t. I am glad Pau had an answer for her. Did Lupe say she actually agreed with Pau before walking away? Maybe they will finally fire her and Bruno can get her job.
Please do a DNA test. I can’t believe Lupillo is Sam’ dad. Still holding out hope for Octavio.
Victoria:
I think Rafa is a stale piece of white bread.
“You know you are a telenovela addict when you can recognize the musical score from one novela to another. Also, the stage furniture.” --LOL
“They should have called this show "Loli's many men". IMO too many men walking in and out and Loli seems to be kissing all of them!” - another LOL
dondi356
Many thanks, novelera and dondi356, for your insightful and appreciative comments on the recap.
novelera , you're right, Loli didn't just drop the phone, she threw it in a fit of anger at not finding a video that would help her with Nicky and Sam. (Then again, a really good chocolate cake might help!) And yes, greedy, selfish Carol is also on my mierda list. Guess she's her maternal grandpa's granddaughter, for sure. BTW, though I've heard the Chevy NOVA story many times, according to the debunking site Snopes, it's simply not true.
See Snopes for more details.
dondi356 , I totally agree with you about Silvia Navarro. She can only do so much with what the writers give her. As for Salvador, I don't see him as deflecting criticism away from Octavio. IMHO, though Octavio started out pretty badly, as you've said, IMHO he was doing just fine even before Slimy Sal appeared on the scene. And yes, you're right, as odd as it seems, Lupe did say she agreed with what Pau had said. I was too tired to try to make sense of it as I was writing the recap, so I took the easy way out--I ignored it. But I'm really glad you asked. Did you (or anyone else) understand why she said that? Can it be that, all appearances to the contrary, she does have a few brain cells left? Finally, count me in as another person hoping that Lupillo's DNA test comes back negative.
I thought I'd just mention what I hated and liked most about last night's episode.
First, the hated. It's no contest. Almost everything involving Bruno. No matter where he is or who he's with. Arrgh!!
To end on a more positive note, what I liked most: As much as I hate to praise Rafael, I liked his reluctance to accept the presidency of GR and his saying to Don Rogelio that Don R had made Rafael a vice president when Loli was expecting to be the one, and Rafael didn't want this to happen again.
I had several candidates for most hated, just about no others for most liked. :-(
Thanks, Juanita. I had done a few brief Wed recaps, but was not in the mood last night.
I also liked Rafa's integrity.
What I hated and always hate was Salvador. That cheesy visit to the couple that was to play their wedding dance was just awful. Loli at least told him she thought this was a work visit. But she ended up kissing him after all.
And I suppose we're in for a long chill between Rafa and Loli after she found out about Pau sponsoring the music festival.
Also, I have gone to lots of music festivals near me: the mariachi festival, outdoor jazz festivals, a major blues festival. I have been under the impression that artists appear for little to no money to get exposure and good will. I still remember seeing B.B. King and, on another occasion, Clifton Chenier, at the SF Blues Festival. But, apparently, in Telenovela World, it takes millions.
I do not understand why the higher ups at Global Radio are even attending Chente's launch party. It just gives him an opportunity to gloat.
I agree, novelera, Salvador is a scumbag. It was a close call between Bruno and him for my "most hated in this episode" award, but for some reason, Bruno edged him out. Perhaps because Bruno was annoyingly stupid in so many ways, whereas Sal offered a less varied display of hatefulness in this episode. Though, admittedly, the nasty trick he played on Loli ("that's our song") almost won him the award.
Thanks novelera and Juanita for some discussion points to ponder. I hated that there was no Nicky and too little Octavio! I also hated that the Divina story was just left hanging from the night before. Like you Juanita, the Bruno scenes were very much worth hating as is Salvador in any form.
I liked Don Rogelio's blue suit. I slept through most of the show, so it doesn't seem like I missed too much.
Will do my regular Thurs recap tonight.
I don't really hate Bruno. I just hate that we get so much of his colossal stupidity. And the writers HAD to go with Bruno getting sympathetic pregnancy symptoms. The one who really gets under my skin is Melissa. She wants Bruno to buy 3 cars now that he's a big cheese at GR!
This is what google says: When pregnancy symptoms such as nausea, weight gain, mood swings and bloating occur in men, the condition is called couvade, or sympathetic pregnancy.
VVS, yes, that was a very snazzy suit Don R. had on.
